- 0:00What is luminism? Luminism. Luminism is
- 0:03the realization
- 0:05that you have the power to shape your
- 0:07own reality by learning how to
- 0:09consistently transform your thoughts
- 0:12into matter. Now, that's a big thought,
- 0:14so we can break it down. Yeah, yeah,
- 0:15yeah. And the you know, the the main
- 0:18sort of
- 0:19uh machine or mechanism to do so is what
- 0:22we call the transformation equation,
- 0:24right?
- 0:24Right. Yeah, the the the way to learn
- 0:26how to consistently turn thought into
- 0:28matter is to there's three steps to it.
- 0:31The first step is to get crystal clear
- 0:33on the vision of what you intend to
- 0:35materialize.
- 0:36So, that's thinking. That's a thinking
- 0:38process.
- 0:39Uh the second piece is to develop your
- 0:41plan to materialize that vision.
- 0:44And the third piece is to take action on
- 0:46your plan until your vision is
- 0:48materialized. There's a lot more to it
- 0:50than that, but those are the basic three
- 0:51steps. So, the the second two components
- 0:55of that equation, I guess you could say,
- 0:58is what sets this apart from the modern
- 1:00manifestation movement, the law of
- 1:02attraction, all of these things, cuz
- 1:03they're they're From from what I've
- 1:05gathered at least, it's um
- 1:07if I imagine this this boat that I
- 1:09really want and I put a picture of a
- 1:11boat on my wall, it's going to show up
- 1:13in the water if I just believe hard
- 1:15enough. Yeah. Well, you know, the modern
- 1:17manifestation movement and the law of
- 1:19attraction, they're positive,
- 1:21well-meaning philosophies, and they can
- 1:23be efficacious, and they've definitely
- 1:25got the first step right, which is um
- 1:28get crystal clear on the vision of what
- 1:30you intend to either accomplish or to
- 1:32bring into your life.
- 1:33Mhm. Uh
- 1:35and if you think single-mindedly about
- 1:38something for long enough, it's going to
- 1:40absolutely have an effect in in physical
- 1:42reality.
- 1:43Yeah.
- 1:44Luminism just puts that power in your
- 1:46hands by adding the two steps, create
- 1:49your plan
- 1:50to achieve that vision, and then take
- 1:52incessant, consistent action on your
- 1:56plan until that vision is materialized.
- 1:58Now,
- 1:59the plan has to be a dynamic plan that
- 2:02it that accepts feedback.
- 2:03Yeah. You don't got to pay attention to
- 2:05what's working and what's not working so
- 2:06that you can adjust your plan
- 2:09uh
- 2:10according to the real world results that
- 2:12you're creating.
- 2:13Every everyone has a plan until they get
- 2:14punched in the face. Ex- Exactly.
- 2:16Uh Moltke, who is one of the greatest
- 2:18generals of all time, said, "No plan
- 2:20survives first contact with the enemy."
- 2:23So, it's not a weakness in your plan
- 2:25that it didn't work the first time.
- 2:27That's literally the nature of planning.
- 2:29Planning is, "This is my hypothesis
- 2:31about what's going to work, then I try
- 2:33it, and I find out what what worked and
- 2:36what didn't work, and then I adjust my
- 2:38plan accordingly.
- 2:39You do more of the stuff that worked and
- 2:40less of the stuff that didn't.
- 2:41Exactly. And then if you take consistent
- 2:42action, and that's what it's got to be,
- 2:44it's got to be daily, habitual,
- 2:46persistent, consistent, you pound on it,
- 2:48you pound it. You wake up every single
- 2:50day completely committed to
- 2:52materializing that vision, you your your
- 2:55plan has is dynamic, it's got
- 2:57flexibility built into it, so you're
- 2:58taking constant feedback, and if you
- 3:01just consistently persist
- 3:04to take action on your plan to
- 3:06materialize your vision,
- 3:08you are eventually going to materialize
- 3:10that vision.
- 3:11Yeah, I mean, it seems
- 3:13it's simple, but it's not easy type type
- 3:16of type of deal.
- 3:18Justin, here's the thing. It's so easy,
- 3:20and you're so good at it that you
- 3:22completely take for granted the fact
- 3:24that you have this power, which is
- 3:26almost godlike.
- 3:27Mhm. You literally have the power to
- 3:29think a thought, and all it is is an
- 3:32energetic intention in your head, and
- 3:34before the end of that day, you can
- 3:36materialize that thought in 3D physical
- 3:39reality. You can bring it into the 3D
- 3:42physical world. So, that's the create
- 3:44That's the god spark. That's the creator
- 3:47in all of us. Let me give you a super
- 3:48simple example, baking an apple pie.
- 3:51Easy easy example.
- 3:53It starts with an energetic intention.
- 3:55Hmm, what do I want to cook for dessert
- 3:57this evening? I want to cook an apple
- 3:59pie. That's what I want to cook. So, now
- 4:01you have an idea, a thought. All your
- 4:04apple pie is at that point is a thought.
- 4:06It literally does not exist in 3D
- 4:08physical reality.
- 4:10So, you get crystal clear on your
- 4:11vision, then you go you you develop your
- 4:14plan. You go about assembling the
- 4:17ingredients that you'll need to create
- 4:18the apple pie. You got your flour, you
- 4:20got your apple, you got whatever goes
- 4:21into an apple pie. You go collect those
- 4:23various Now, you're taking action on
- 4:25your plan. You're collecting those
- 4:27various ingredients and bring them
- 4:29bringing them together,
- 4:30and then the final piece of action that
- 4:32you take is you transform
- 4:35those varied individual ingredients
- 4:39until it becomes an apple pie, which did
- 4:42not exist in the 3D physical universe
- 4:45this morning, but now it does. It
- 4:48started out off as a thought in your
- 4:49head, and now you made it exist in 3D
- 4:51physical reality.
- 4:53Congratulations, you've just harnessed
- 4:55the law of cause and effect to turn your
- 4:58energetic thought into physical 3D
- 5:00matter. We all do this every single day.
- 5:03The problem is we use the power on
- 5:07mundane, unimportant things
- 5:09unconsciously.
- 5:11Very, very seldom do we use it on the
- 5:13most important things in life. It's so
- 5:16ubiquitous and common that we don't even
- 5:18realize that we have this power.
- 5:20But when you really understand what it
- 5:23is, and when you learn to harness and
- 5:25wield it and focus it on the big things
- 5:28in life, you it literally allows you to
- 5:30shape your reality.
- 5:31Yeah. And and wake up in a world of your
- 5:34own making every day. Your your life is
- 5:36an apple pie, and you need to go about
- 5:38consciously baking it.
- 5:39Well, the first thing you got to do is
- 5:40visualize exactly what you want it to
- 5:42look like.
- 5:42Yeah.
- 5:43And then you've got to assemble the
- 5:44ingredients and start putting to them
- 5:46together. You you you work on it every
- 5:48single day, and eventually your vision
- 5:51and your reality become one. So, so you
- 5:53just said sort of living in a world of
- 5:56your own making, you you shape your own
- 5:59reality. I I feel like there there
- 6:02should be a a definition to this, cuz
- 6:04people watching this may be like, "Well,
- 6:05I can't I can't change the president. I
- 6:08can't change where, you know, Germany is
- 6:11on the map. I can't change these things
- 6:12about my reality, so I can't change my
- 6:14reality at all." But there is an actual
- 6:16definition to not changing your reality
- 6:18per se, but shaping it, right? Yes. Um
- 6:22the first thing you've got to understand
- 6:23is that human beings inhabit two
- 6:27completely separate worlds
- 6:28simultaneously.
- 6:30The internal mental world of thought,
- 6:33which you're in that world half your
- 6:34freaking life. You're in in your head.
- 6:37And the external physical world of of
- 6:40the 3D physical reality. So, your
- 6:42internal world is all you. There's
- 6:44nobody in there but you. You're the only
- 6:46one that inhabits that world. And in
- 6:47that world, you have absolutely
- 6:50unlimited power. You can visualize
- 6:52anything you want with no limitations
- 6:54whatsoever. That world is yours.
- 6:57The physical world is a world we all
- 6:59share.
- 7:00You have a lot of control over your
- 7:01physical reality, but you don't have
- 7:03control over events in the Middle East
- 7:05or earthquakes or volcanoes.
- 7:07But you you have control over all the
- 7:10things that really make a difference in
- 7:12your life. You've got control of the way
- 7:14you treat people. You've got the
- 7:16control of the way you deal with
- 7:18setbacks. You've got control of the
- 7:20content you consume. You've got control
- 7:22over so many things that that are the
- 7:24things that really end up shaping your
- 7:26life.
- 7:27And the trick to luminism
- 7:30is getting crystal clear on the person
- 7:32that you want to become and the life you
- 7:34want to live. Really thinking down what
- 7:37that looks like, what that ideal life
- 7:39looks like.
- 7:41Then creating a plan to achieve that.
- 7:44Your plan will consist of the goals you
- 7:46choose to pursue
- 7:47that will make that life possible,
- 7:49and the daily habits you need to perform
- 7:52that will ensure the progressive
- 7:54realization of those goals.
- 7:56And then you got to take action on it
- 7:57every single day, and if you do that
- 7:59persistently enough,
- 8:00you end up with a life like mine, where
- 8:02you end up you wake up every single day
- 8:05in a world that you made. I wake up
- 8:07every day in an environment that I
- 8:09created myself. Every plant, every tree,
- 8:13every building that I live in was
- 8:16consciously created by me. I wake up in
- 8:18a body that that was shaped according to
- 8:20my standards and values. I wake up in a
- 8:22world where all of my relationships have
- 8:24been shaped according to the things that
- 8:26matter most to me.
- 8:28Everything about my life, everything
- 8:30that would is within my reach has the
- 8:32fingerprints of my energetic intention
- 8:35on it, because I've been doing this for
- 8:36so long. And that is absolutely
- 8:39available to anyone who is willing to go
- 8:43through these three steps to shape their
- 8:45own reality. So, the
- 8:47there's Imagine that there's two
- 8:49different people. One is, I guess I
- 8:51guess I could say, letting life happen
- 8:54to them, and the other one is happening
- 8:56to life, I guess is is the way to put
- 8:58that, or having life come through them
- 9:00or or something like this. One of them
- 9:02is just like, "Oh, well, whatever
- 9:03happens happens. I'm kind of I'm I'm not
- 9:06happy where I am, but I'm not sad
- 9:08either. There's not enough pain to
- 9:09change, or there and there's not enough
- 9:10things to to strive for."
- 9:12Mhm. And the other one is, "I know
- 9:14exactly what I want. I know exactly how
- 9:16I'm going to get it.
- 9:16Mhm. Well, not exactly, but I have a
- 9:18best guess at how I'm going to get it,
- 9:19and I'm going to take action
- 9:20consistently until I get there." That's
- 9:23That's an important piece of that,
- 9:24right?
- 9:24It is. And And how I put that is is the
- 9:27difference between living your life from
- 9:29the inside out, which is "In here, I'm
- 9:32going to get clear on my intention. I'm
- 9:34going to look inside, and using my
- 9:36insight, I'm going to be the one who
- 9:39decides the person I'm going to turn
- 9:40into, the character traits I'm going to
- 9:42develop within myself,
- 9:44the life that I want to shape around me.
- 9:46I'm going to direct that. And when I
- 9:49engage with the world, when I engage
- 9:51with my technology, when I engage with
- 9:54with everything that's in my life, I
- 9:57will be directing from the inside out.
- 9:59Yeah. versus the other person that you
- 10:01described is living life from the
- 10:03outside in. I'm really not sure who I am
- 10:06or what I'm all about. I've got no clear
- 10:08direction in my life. I've got no clear
- 10:09purpose. So, I wake up every day and I
- 10:12react to situations. I react to people.
- 10:15I react to events. I don't proactively
- 10:18take action in the direction of my
- 10:20vision. Rather, I react to life. I'm
- 10:24living my life from the outside in. And
- 10:27there's a real problem with that in the
- 10:2821st century, which is if you don't have
- 10:33a clear vision for where you want to
- 10:35take your life, you're going to
- 10:37absolutely be swept up by somebody who
- 10:39is clear about where they want to take
- 10:41you.
- 10:41Absolutely.
- 10:42You're not going to be able to withstand
- 10:43the algorithms. You're There are plenty
- 10:45of people and plenty of organizations
- 10:47and institutions that are going to be
- 10:48perfectly happy to step up and fill your
- 10:51vision gap for you and take you where
- 10:53they want to take you.
- 10:54100% I I I talk about this all the time
- 10:56on this show.
- 10:57Almost everyone Well, I shouldn't say
- 11:00almost everyone, but almost everyone in
- 11:02the US at least or in the Western world
- 11:04has a magical box in their phone where
- 11:07all of information is is available to
- 11:10them. All of information, everything.
- 11:12The true, the untrue, the things in the
- 11:14middle. I can open up my my magical box
- 11:16or my phone and be happy, sad,
- 11:18depressed, excited, sad, any any emotion
- 11:22that I want at the literal
- 11:25click of a button.
- 11:25Right. Right? And if I if I don't have a
- 11:27a clear vision, you you taught me that
- 11:30every time uh uh you pick up the phone,
- 11:33you know exactly what you're going to do
- 11:34with it. Cuz if you don't, you're like
- 11:35you said, you're going to get swept away
- 11:37by these by these algorithms, right?
- 11:38Absolutely, yeah. So, that's the basic
- 11:42choice that each of us has to make in
- 11:43the 21st century is how to use that
- 11:45device. And that's a matter of life and
- 11:47death. It's literally a matter of life
- 11:49and death now.
- 11:49100%.
- 11:50That device can take you to heaven on
- 11:52earth.
- 11:52It can teach you anything you want to
- 11:54know. You have access to all the world's
- 11:56knowledge in your pocket at the speed of
- 11:57light. You can learn everything Marcus
- 11:59Aurelius or Aristotle ever said. You can
- 12:01take Harvard business courses for free.
- 12:03You can learn how to make your inner
- 12:05world more peaceful. You can literally
- 12:08learn any positive thing that you can
- 12:10imagine with that device. Or that exact
- 12:13same device can take you to the seven
- 12:15levels of hell. And and it's like your
- 12:17own personal neutron bomb killing all
- 12:19the life inside you and leaving an empty
- 12:21shell. It can drag you into every form
- 12:23of addiction. It can make you completely
- 12:25numb to life.
- 12:26Mhm. It can disorient you. It can
- 12:29desensitize you. It can ruin your your
- 12:32body and ruin your mind. It all depends
- 12:35on how you use it. And this comes back
- 12:38to living your life from the inside out
- 12:40or the outside in. When I go to pick up
- 12:43my device, it's because I've got
- 12:44something for it to do to move my life
- 12:48forward. It's the best possible servant,
- 12:51but it's the worst possible master.
- 12:53Yeah. It'll take you anywhere you want
- 12:54to go, but it won't replace you as the
- 12:56driver. You're the one that has to
- 12:58decide how you're going to use that
- 12:59device. And in the 21st century, it's a
- 13:02matter of life and death.
- 13:03Absolutely. And the um
- 13:06I guess you could say the sort of
- 13:07realization that you are at the center
- 13:10of of your life. You are the primary
- 13:12decision-maker. Everything in your life
- 13:15has been a result of your actions,
- 13:16beliefs, and plan or lack of a plan.
- 13:20We
- 13:22the the the power, the Luminism
- 13:24Manifesto
- 13:25defines that sort of feeling or
- 13:27realization as lumination, right?
- 13:29Right. That's right.
- 13:29What does that feel like and how does
- 13:31one become illuminated?
- 13:33Oh my god, I will never forget, Justin,
- 13:36when that happened to me. I was 21 years
- 13:38old. I was your age, exactly.
- 13:40And I was reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn
- 13:42Rand. And I was at the Blandford Nature
- 13:45Center in Michigan. I was working off my
- 13:48100 hours of community labor that I got
- 13:50uh assigned to me in court for having I
- 13:53don't remember how many freaking
- 13:55tickets.
- 13:56So, I was doing my I was doing my time
- 13:59doing my time on a pig farm, literally.
- 14:02And stealing away to read this
- 14:04mind-boggling book every chance I got.
- 14:08Every minute I could possibly read it
- 14:10because my mind was on fire. Um
- 14:13And I I I I remember the moment that I
- 14:17realized holy
- 14:20My life is mine. I own it. I'm I'm the
- 14:24responsible party. I'm the
- 14:25decision-maker at the center of this
- 14:27freaking universe. I am the one in
- 14:29control. I'm the one who Nobody had ever
- 14:31told me that before in my entire life.
- 14:33And I have the power to take this
- 14:36anywhere I want to take it. That book
- 14:38was was the thing that broke me through.
- 14:39There's a lot of different ways to
- 14:41achieve the state of illumination. And
- 14:43that's one of the things that that we
- 14:45worked hard when when writing The Power,
- 14:47we worked hard to make sure that that
- 14:49document led to the experience of
- 14:53lumination, which is the result of two
- 14:56fundamental realizations. The first is
- 14:58what we were just talking about. My life
- 15:00is mine. I own it. I'm the responsible
- 15:03party. I'm the decision-maker at the
- 15:05center of my own existence. And the
- 15:07second is and I can shape this thing any
- 15:10way I want. I and I alone hold the power
- 15:13to shape my reality. And I'm going to do
- 15:16that. And and that's what happened to me
- 15:17when I was 21 and I've been living like
- 15:19that ever since. Once it's it it seems
- 15:22to be one of those things where it's
- 15:24like um once once you see it, you can't
- 15:26unsee it. Once you feel it, you can't
- 15:27unfeel it. You can't really
- 15:30give that back.
- 15:32and irreversible shift
- 15:34Yep. that changes the way you view
- 15:36reality and the way you interact with
- 15:38reality. Absolutely. And there's um
- 15:41it it is for
- 15:43for me at least, when I when I first
- 15:45read the um
- 15:47the power, the Luminism Manifesto, it
- 15:49seemed like instead of
- 15:52living life by default, you now have the
- 15:56opportunity and you have always had the
- 15:57opportunity, but this document says you
- 15:59have the opportunity to live life by
- 16:02design as opposed to just, you know,
- 16:04waltzing through and right? Letting life
- 16:06happen to you.
- 16:07That is 100% right. And and what this
- 16:09document does, I think for the first
- 16:11time in history, is this document offers
- 16:14a rigorously structured process that you
- 16:17just literally have to walk through step
- 16:18by step. And at the end of that process,
- 16:21you'll have a crystal-clear vision for
- 16:22your life. You'll have a detailed
- 16:24dynamic plan for its accomplishment. And
- 16:27you'll have a you you'll have a a list
- 16:29of things that you have to do daily that
- 16:31if you just simply check off every
- 16:33single thing on that list every day, you
- 16:36will end up in that life you've
- 16:37designed. The vision and the reality
- 16:39will become one.
- 16:41Luminism is a clearly defined process to
- 16:44make that happen. And that's why it's so
- 16:47valuable, such a breakthrough. So, an
- 16:49interesting an interesting idea that's
- 16:52in that's inside of the
- 16:53the power is um you are already living
- 16:57in a world that you've created, whether
- 16:59it's consciously or unconsciously.
- 17:01All of your beliefs, all of your
- 17:03actions, all of your planning or lack of
- 17:05planning has added up to where you are
- 17:07right now in in the present. How can
- 17:10someone go about beginning to shape
- 17:12their own reality in the image of their
- 17:14values and their vision without any of
- 17:16the grief or shame or bad feelings that
- 17:21come with ooh, I put myself here. All
- 17:24all of these things. Like the the
- 17:25radical self-responsibility that gets
- 17:28thrown at you when you when you read
- 17:29this document.
- 17:30Yeah, well, here's the thing. It's a
- 17:31bitter pill to swallow sometimes to
- 17:33realize that you have created all the
- 17:35situations in your life. That can be
- 17:37tough. But you got to stick with that
- 17:40thought because it because it becomes
- 17:42the most empowering thought you can
- 17:43possibly have. It's the most important
- 17:45thing you can ever realize as a human
- 17:47being on this planet is that oh, I'm the
- 17:50one that shaped my reality so far. That
- 17:52power is really in my hands. How about I
- 17:54start doing that consciously from this
- 17:56point forward?
- 17:57So, what you said is how do you start to
- 18:01move toward shaping your reality in the
- 18:04image of your values?
- 18:05Yep. You have to get clear on what you
- 18:07value. That's the first step. A value is
- 18:10that which one acts to gain or keep. So,
- 18:14values are the things that we want, the
- 18:17things we desire, the relationships that
- 18:20we esteem most, the attributes that we
- 18:22we we're looking for in in
- 18:24relationships. Values are all the things
- 18:26that we're willing to act to get and to
- 18:28hold close in our lives. And the first
- 18:31thing you've got to do is really take
- 18:33inventory of your life and decide what
- 18:35is it that you value. And that's a
- 18:37that's a subjective experience because
- 18:39value presupposes value to whom? Mhm. We
- 18:42all value different things. We all have
- 18:44different wants and needs and desires.
- 18:46And the road to the fulfillment of those
- 18:47desires is going to be different for
- 18:48every single one of us. So, the first
- 18:50step is to get crystal clear on what you
- 18:53want in your life. And most people
- 18:56haven't done that. It It takes a lot of
- 18:58courage just doing that takes a lot of
- 19:00courage. Well, yeah, cuz people I I I
- 19:03shouldn't say people, but some people,
- 19:05maybe a majority of them have
- 19:07uh what can be defined as limiting
- 19:09beliefs, right? I I want a million
- 19:10dollars or I say I do, but I believe in
- 19:13my core money is the root of all evil. I
- 19:15want a beautiful relationship with my
- 19:17wife, but I believe that all women
- 19:19cheat. I want You know, I want to have a
- 19:21great level of health and fitness, but I
- 19:23believe that my genetics are the number
- 19:24one uh sort of definitive factor of of
- 19:28how I look and how I
- 19:29family's unhealthy and overweight, so
- 19:31that's probably my destiny.
- 19:32Exactly. As opposed to a belief that it
- 19:35is my daily behaviors. It's my choices
- 19:37and actions that will determine my
- 19:38health and fitness, which is an
- 19:40empowering belief because that puts me
- 19:41in control versus it's my genetics, my
- 19:44family's unhealthy, I'm screwed. That's
- 19:46a disempowering belief because it I I
- 19:48don't have any any power over it. So,
- 19:50you make a very good point. It's super
- 19:52smart to get clear on what you believe
- 19:54about the most important areas of your
- 19:56life before you start charging in the
- 19:58direction of defining what you want
- 20:00because if you have a a contradiction
- 20:02between what you believe and what you
- 20:04want, I want a million dollars, but I
- 20:06believe that the love of money is the
- 20:08root of all evil,
- 20:09those beliefs will sabotage you at every
- 20:12turn. When when when things start to go
- 20:14well, you will you will do whatever it
- 20:17takes to get back into your
- 20:18psychological comfort zone. You'll start
- 20:20sabotaging yourself. You'll start making
- 20:22mistakes unconsciously because you most
- 20:25of the time behave consistently with
- 20:28your beliefs. Your beliefs really do
- 20:30tend to, not always, but tend to control
- 20:34your thoughts and your behaviors and and
- 20:37your choices. So,
- 20:39what you want is is an empowering
- 20:42aligned belief system,
- 20:44a crystal clear vision for every
- 20:48important area of your life,
- 20:50and then you simply have to create a
- 20:52plan to achieve that vision. That used
- 20:54to be the hard part, but we have AI now.
- 20:56Yeah. And that's the greatest planning
- 20:57system the world's ever ever known. That
- 21:01used to be the biggest hurdle to
- 21:02becoming a luminary, which is what we
- 21:04call the people that have really learned
- 21:06to shape their own reality. And our
- 21:08reality is a And our reality as well,
- 21:11exactly. By turning their thoughts into
- 21:13matter. I have a vision to put a man on
- 21:16the moon by the end of the '60s, John F.
- 21:18Kennedy, right? And and we all get to we
- 21:21we all get to participate in in those
- 21:24visions. Um yeah. So, we we got a little
- 21:28bit Ayn Randian there saying if you have
- 21:30contradictions, you need to check your
- 21:32your premises and things like this. Not
- 21:34a lot of people understand that um
- 21:36it's it's not well, I I believe these
- 21:39things, therefore I will always believe
- 21:40these things. That's not the way that
- 21:42No, beliefs don't work that way.
- 21:43Exactly.
- 21:43Exactly. It's a it's a
- 21:45the the way that our our buddy Peter
- 21:47Kobabe puts this is it's a
- 21:49you have a superhero buffet in front of
- 21:51you, right? There's Elon Musk, there's
- 21:53all these cool there's there's these
- 21:55amazing people,
- 21:56but you don't want to have Elon Musk's
- 21:58relationships because he's maybe not a
- 22:01good husband cuz he's got a bunch of you
- 22:02know
- 22:02He's great at rockets. Exactly. So, you
- 22:04go, "Okay, well, I like his business
- 22:06acumen." And then you look at, you know,
- 22:08someone else maybe I I don't know
- 22:11Tony Robbins or something like this. And
- 22:12you go, "Well, I want his his
- 22:13self-belief, but I don't want I don't
- 22:14want the rest of these things." You can
- 22:16sort of pick and choose from people that
- 22:18have already defined what what they
- 22:20believe the most empowering and almost
- 22:23most optimal beliefs for where you want
- 22:26to go. Right? Absolutely. Yeah. Well,
- 22:29here's what most people don't understand
- 22:30about beliefs.
- 22:31They come and go through life. You
- 22:33change them constantly as you learn and
- 22:36grow. As you go through life, you add
- 22:39new beliefs and you discard old beliefs.
- 22:42The fact is you choose your beliefs,
- 22:44whether you're conscious of it or not.
- 22:45You choose your beliefs.
- 22:48And and most people don't understand
- 22:49that. They they they think that the
- 22:51their beliefs are sort of fixed
- 22:52universal truths. They are neither of
- 22:55those two things. The more experience
- 22:58I've
- 22:59gained in this area of my life,
- 23:02the less I believe in belief itself.
- 23:05Sadhguru has a really interesting
- 23:07approach to this that I really love. He
- 23:09said, "I don't need belief. I don't need
- 23:11to believe anything. I either know
- 23:13through direct experience or I don't
- 23:15know. And I'm perfectly happy happy
- 23:17admitting that I don't know."
- 23:19The reason So, so let me just tell you
- 23:21the kind of beliefs that I've installed
- 23:23in my life. I've consciously chosen my
- 23:25beliefs across the 12 most important
- 23:27areas of my life,
- 23:28and I've chosen the beliefs that empower
- 23:30me the most. That's the only thing I use
- 23:32beliefs for. It's it's as a
- 23:34philosophical base so that I can get the
- 23:36I want out of life. That's that's
- 23:38how I use my beliefs.
- 23:39A foundation. So, my beliefs in health
- 23:41health and fitness. I believe that I'm
- 23:43going to be a strong muscular athlete
- 23:44for my entire life. I believed that
- 23:46since I was in my '20s. I'm in my '60s
- 23:48now. I still believe that. Right? Um my
- 23:51intellectual life. I believe that my
- 23:52mind is my greatest asset. If I take
- 23:54care of it, then I should be able to to
- 23:56to use it at a very very high level for
- 23:59a long long time. These are just
- 24:01examples. I have taken a look at all 12
- 24:03areas of my life. I've asked myself,
- 24:05"What would the most empowering possible
- 24:07beliefs I could hold in each of these
- 24:09areas that are the most aligned with the
- 24:11reality and that are going to give me
- 24:13the highest chance of creating an
- 24:14extraordinary life that works at a high
- 24:16level in every important way?"
- 24:19And then I've assembled those beliefs
- 24:21and it's like, "Okay, that's what I'm
- 24:22going to believe about about myself and
- 24:25my life." Yeah. And then that's been
- 24:27been my philosophical foundation. And
- 24:28then with that underneath me, I can
- 24:30start thinking deeply about what I want.
- 24:32What is my vision in each of these
- 24:34areas? Get crystal clear on that, and
- 24:37then develop my plan to achieve that
- 24:39vision, take action on that plan every
- 24:41day. But here is a big realization that
- 24:43I've had in the last couple years as
- 24:45I've been working with AI.
- 24:48I don't even know what's possible
- 24:49anymore, man.
- 24:51Like I don't even want to I don't even
- 24:54want to put any governor or let or like
- 24:56I might just decide that I want to age
- 24:58backwards.
- 24:59Like I don't know anymore what's what
- 25:02what's possible and what's not possible.
- 25:04We're entering an absolutely
- 25:06unprecedented time in human history. And
- 25:10so I'm really being careful about my
- 25:12beliefs right now. I don't want them to
- 25:13constrict me in any way, shape or form.
- 25:16Are are you familiar with um
- 25:18Brian Johnson? He's he's literally
- 25:20trying to age
- 25:21Brian Johnsons.
- 25:22He's he's got like 150 supplements that
- 25:25he takes in the morning and he's doing
- 25:26all these crazy tests.
- 25:27I yeah, that guy.
- 25:28He's he's got the Netflix documentary
- 25:29Don't Die, I think it's called or or
- 25:31something.
- 25:31Yeah, so so there you go. I mean, that
- 25:32guy's an extreme case, but that's my
- 25:34point.
- 25:35is possible is is the
- 25:37And AI what AI is going to do is is the
- 25:39first thing it's going to do is it's
- 25:41going to transform every industry. And
- 25:43then those industries are going to start
- 25:45combining their technology and take us
- 25:47to a place that we the world will be
- 25:49absolutely unrecognizable three or four
- 25:51years from now. Oh, 100%.
- 25:53So, I'm trying not to let my beliefs,
- 25:55which are unbelievably empowering, but
- 25:57we're living in an age right now where
- 25:59we're blowing the top off of everything.
- 26:01So, I'm just I'm double-checking them to
- 26:03make sure that they're not going to, you
- 26:04know, hold me back in this coming age.
- 26:07100% and
- 26:08adaptability is one of the greatest
- 26:10traits that we can acquire coming into
- 26:12this AI revolution.
- 26:13it's probably the most important single
- 26:15trait for us going into the future is
- 26:17our our ability to adapt to the changes
- 26:21that are happening so fast. Well, it's
- 26:24adaptability in in the sort of
- 26:26transformation equation could could be
- 26:28defined as feedback. You put feedback
- 26:31into your plan and you act on it as fast
- 26:33as possible.
- 26:34right. Yep. So, let's let's
- 26:36let's talk about the difference between
- 26:38the law of attraction and the law of
- 26:40cause and effect. Obviously, just from
- 26:41me saying that, people are watching this
- 26:43are going to be like, "Well, duh. The
- 26:45law of attraction is I put a picture of
- 26:46a boat on my wall and the boat shows
- 26:48up." That's not really how it works. And
- 26:50the law of attraction or the excuse me,
- 26:52the law of cause and effect is
- 26:54I put a picture of a boat on my wall and
- 26:56because there is a picture of a boat, I
- 26:57now get reminded I need to do the
- 26:59actions necessary to get that boat.
- 27:01Right. Right?
- 27:01That's exactly right.
- 27:02Yeah. Yeah, I I think that um cause and
- 27:04effect
- 27:06connects the feedback loop that
- 27:09the manifestation movement and the law
- 27:11of attraction leave open. Cause and
- 27:13effect is the the fundamental premise of
- 27:18luminism. Cause and effect is the is the
- 27:20principle that luminism is built on.
- 27:21Yep. And cause and effect is every cause
- 27:23has its effect, every effect has its
- 27:25cause. There's nothing in the universe
- 27:27that escapes that law. Yeah. There are
- 27:29many different planes of causation, but
- 27:32nothing anywhere in the universe escapes
- 27:34that law. And the law of cause and
- 27:37effect is not only widely overlooked in
- 27:40the self-development space, it's
- 27:42sometimes disparaged. Mhm. Um and it's
- 27:46often
- 27:47Well, let me just put it this way. The
- 27:49fundamental false claim at the base of a
- 27:52lot of broken promises and a lot of
- 27:54fly-by-night philosophies
- 27:56um in in the personal development world
- 28:00is the separation from cause and effect.
- 28:02The separation of a beautiful body from
- 28:05the cause of diet and exercise. The
- 28:08magic pill approach, right?
- 28:10Yeah. The separation of of um
- 28:13building wealth
- 28:14from the cause of creating value for
- 28:16other people.
- 28:17scheme.
- 28:17Yeah, the exactly. The separation of
- 28:20of um having a wonderful love
- 28:22relationship from the cause of
- 28:24developing lovable attributes within
- 28:26yourself. The idea of separating cause
- 28:29and effect is is harmful and it's
- 28:31dangerous, but the reason that it's can
- 28:33be so wildly popular is because it
- 28:36promises something really seductive.
- 28:38Success without effort.
- 28:39Yeah, it's something for nothing.
- 28:40Everyone loves that. Everyone wants
- 28:41that. An effect without a cause. And
- 28:44luminism is the opposite of that.
- 28:46Luminism doesn't promise success without
- 28:47effort. It promises that in order to
- 28:50achieve success, you need to have two
- 28:52different kinds of effort going on
- 28:54simultaneously.
- 28:56Effort in your internal world and then
- 28:58effort in the external world. And I
- 29:00think that that's
- 29:02that's a widely overlooked part of the
- 29:04law of attraction and the modern
- 29:06manifestation movement, the effort in
- 29:08the external world.
- 29:09Yeah. Which closes that loop.
- 29:11Exactly. Cuz even
- 29:13even even though it is well-meaning, the
- 29:15manifestation movement, law of
- 29:17attraction, all of these things, it is
- 29:19kind of offering something for nothing.
- 29:21All I have to do is believe hard enough
- 29:22and then it shows up, right?
- 29:24Right. Well, that's something. It's just
- 29:27it doesn't it doesn't close the loop.
- 29:28It's better than nothing. Yeah. Thinking
- 29:31positively and and being in contact with
- 29:34what you really want and and and
- 29:36allowing yourself to want it, giving
- 29:39yourself permission to desire that at a
- 29:43really really high level and meditating
- 29:45on it and and and wanting to attract it.
- 29:48That is definitely better than nothing.
- 29:50But if you really want to if you really
- 29:52want to go a step farther, you'll create
- 29:54a plan to get it and you'll take action
- 29:56on your plan until you've gotten it.
- 29:58That and that's what that's what
- 29:59Luminism teaches you how to do.
- 30:02Something interesting that I've I've
- 30:04thought about a lot with the whole magic
- 30:06pill, something for nothing, get get get
- 30:09rich get rich quick scheme is if A, if
- 30:13something was easy to accomplish,
- 30:16everybody would have it. B, if everybody
- 30:19has it, you no longer really want it
- 30:22much. And C, it's
- 30:25it's really you know the the whole thing
- 30:27is it is it the journey or the
- 30:28destination type of deal? It's like
- 30:30everyone is like oh it's the it's the
- 30:31journey always. That's kind of true cuz
- 30:35if you do go through trials and
- 30:36tribulations and all of these things, it
- 30:38feels so much more
- 30:40it satiates your need for that thing
- 30:43more so than even having it cuz you
- 30:45worked so hard to get to building your
- 30:47dream house, you've built your physique,
- 30:49you you have a beautiful love
- 30:50relationship, all these things. If if
- 30:53everybody had that and if it was so
- 30:54easy,
- 30:55maybe you wouldn't even want it. Um it's
- 30:58pretty nice. Yeah, well maybe maybe not
- 31:00maybe not dream house and and good
- 31:02physique and good love relationship.
- 31:03Whenever you're faced with a with a
- 31:05quandary like that, is it the journey or
- 31:08is it the destination? The answer is
- 31:10always the same. Yes.
- 31:12It is. It is literally always the same.
- 31:14It's both. It
- 31:15they're the Kabalion teaches all truths
- 31:18are but half truths and all paradoxes
- 31:20can be resolved. Truth is not a a
- 31:22pinpoint. It happens on a continuum. It
- 31:25depends on what angle you're looking at
- 31:27it from. It's wonderful to arrive at
- 31:29your destination. It's wonderful. It's
- 31:33absolutely wonderful and it's also
- 31:34wonderful to learn and experience the
- 31:37journey. Yeah. They're they're they're
- 31:38they're both great. When you arrive at
- 31:40that destination, what do you do? You
- 31:42create a new destination.
- 31:43Yeah, there's always a new mountain,
- 31:44right? Exactly.
- 31:45I I got an interesting perspective on
- 31:47the whole journey or or destination
- 31:49thing from my buddy Evan Carmichael.
- 31:51He he said well everybody always says
- 31:54it's the journey or some people say it's
- 31:55the destination and I was listening to
- 31:57an interview of this guy and he said
- 31:58it's neither, it's the company you keep
- 32:00along the way.
- 32:00Ah, that's nice. That's nice.
- 32:01Which is like I I agree with
- 32:03But of course you can't say it's
- 32:04neither. It's all it's all,
- 32:06right? It depends on what angle again.
- 32:08It depends on what angle you're you're
- 32:09looking at it from. So
- 32:12if if the people watching this are you
- 32:14know living in their basically their own
- 32:16creation, they've they've maybe not
- 32:18envisioned it consciously but they they
- 32:20are living in a world of their own
- 32:21making already, how going forward do
- 32:24they
- 32:25limit the things that they do not want
- 32:28and optimize for the things that they do
- 32:29want? Well, the first thing you've got
- 32:31to do is get crystal clear on what it is
- 32:33that you want. That you did that that's
- 32:35the important thing. You get crystal
- 32:37clear on what you want.
- 32:39Then you've got to figure out, okay, so
- 32:41here's I'm going to I'm going to give
- 32:43you the transformation equation in as
- 32:46short as I possibly can.
- 32:48You take a look at the 12 different
- 32:49categories of your life and
- 32:52it's good to get clear on your beliefs
- 32:53but I'm just going to go straight to the
- 32:55absolutely necessary active ingredients
- 32:57here. What precisely do you want in
- 33:00every important area of your life? What
- 33:02precisely do you want from your health
- 33:03and fitness? From your intellectual
- 33:05life? From your emotional life? From
- 33:07your love relationship? From your
- 33:08career? From your parenting? From your
- 33:10financial life? These these 12
- 33:12categories, what does the ideal you
- 33:15living your ideal life look like in that
- 33:17category? Define that as clearly as you
- 33:20possibly can. Okay?
- 33:22Then what you do is you take those
- 33:24individual category visions and you add
- 33:27them all up into one compelling singular
- 33:30vision for your life. If I accomplished
- 33:32if if I was to hit my ideal in all of
- 33:35those categories, what does that look
- 33:36like all added up together? That's
- 33:38called your life vision. That is now
- 33:40your North Star. That is now your
- 33:42decision-making framework. Every
- 33:43decision you make from that point
- 33:45forward is held up to that North Star.
- 33:47Does this if I'm I'm trying to decide
- 33:50whether to go right or left, whether to
- 33:51do this or not. Does going left get me
- 33:54closer or does going right get me
- 33:55closer? It is literally your
- 33:57decision-making framework. If you don't
- 33:59know where you're going in your life,
- 34:01you can't possibly know which is the
- 34:03right path to take.
- 34:05It's the Cheshire Cat
- 34:07Yeah, that's exactly what it is.
- 34:09Cheshire Cat, can you tell me where I
- 34:11ought to go from here? said Alice. Well,
- 34:13that depends exactly on where you want
- 34:14to go, said the cat. Well, I don't much
- 34:17care, said Alice. Well, then it doesn't
- 34:19matter which way you go, said the cat.
- 34:20But I want to get somewhere, said Alice.
- 34:22Well, you're sure to do that if you walk
- 34:24long enough.
- 34:25That's the deal. That's what most that's
- 34:27the world that most people live in.
- 34:28They're just they're just walking. They
- 34:30have no destination in mind. They have
- 34:33no they have no sense of purpose, no
- 34:35sense of their own identity, no sense of
- 34:37where they want to end up in life. And
- 34:39if you don't know that, you can't know
- 34:41which is the right path to take. That's
- 34:43why it's so important to take the small
- 34:47amount of time that it takes to sit down
- 34:49and decide what do I want in the most
- 34:52important areas of my life? What does
- 34:54that up add up to?
- 34:56What does that look like all together?
- 34:57What is my life vision? And now I'm
- 34:59going to use that as my decision-making
- 35:01framework as my North Star. Every
- 35:04decision I make is going to be held up
- 35:06to that.
- 35:07And of course and we have a a rigorously
- 35:09structured process on how to get even
- 35:11even more granular. So what you do is
- 35:14once you get that life vision in place
- 35:16and you're crystal clear on it and
- 35:17you're devoted to it and you're
- 35:18committed to it,
- 35:20then you need to define the most
- 35:22important goals upon which that life
- 35:24vision rests. What are the five to six
- 35:27goals that if you accomplish those
- 35:28goals, you'd be living that life vision.
- 35:31Like do you have to hit a certain
- 35:31financial number in your career?
- 35:33Do you need to get out of a broken
- 35:35relationship or or or repair a
- 35:38relationship or find the love of your
- 35:40life?
- 35:41Do you need to do you need to finally
- 35:44figure out your career that that that
- 35:46creates financial abundance and is is
- 35:49fulfilling for you?
- 35:51Do you need to move to a location where
- 35:53you can build your dream? What are the
- 35:54five to six goals upon which that life
- 35:57vision rests where once you achieve
- 35:58those goals, you're living that vision.
- 36:00That's the next big piece of thinking
- 36:02you've got to do. Then once you've got
- 36:04those goals, that's magic because five
- 36:07to six goals can live on one page. And
- 36:09that page contains everything that you
- 36:12want everything you wish for in your
- 36:14life is on that one page. It's like a
- 36:15mini blueprint for your ideal future.
- 36:18Then the next step is to figure out what
- 36:21are the daily behaviors that I need to
- 36:23perform that will ensure the progressive
- 36:27accomplishment of those goals because if
- 36:29I can achieve those goals, I'll be
- 36:30living my vision.
- 36:32And you define the most important habits
- 36:35that you need to perform each day
- 36:37one of which will be touching your most
- 36:38important goals every single day and
- 36:40moving them forward. So there's a whole
- 36:42process for it that's outlined in in in
- 36:44the power the the Luminous Manifesto and
- 36:48anybody can participate in it now. It
- 36:50used to be very very difficult to make a
- 36:53plan to achieve a life vision. That was
- 36:55the that was the hurdle to entry. There
- 36:57were maybe
- 36:5810 to 20% of people had the intellectual
- 37:02aptitude, the ability to do the
- 37:04deductive reasoning, the reverse
- 37:06engineering, and the complex sort of
- 37:09calculations required to figure out
- 37:12precisely the plan to achieve their life
- 37:14vision. But now literally if you can
- 37:17figure out your detailed life vision,
- 37:21you can put it into AI and AI can give
- 37:23you a step-by-step roadmap on how to get
- 37:25there. And that's that makes the power
- 37:29accessible to everybody
- 37:31where it five years ago it wasn't. Now
- 37:33it is. There's no excuse anymore. We we
- 37:35have access to unlimited deductive
- 37:37reasoning in our pockets now. That's
- 37:39exactly right.
- 37:40So you say I want to I want to get here
- 37:41and I am here and then it goes whoop.
- 37:43Yeah. Here's what you got to do in order
- 37:44to get from here to here.
- 37:46AI can't do your vision for you. The
- 37:48only way you can get your vision is
- 37:49looking inside of you because that's
- 37:51that's internal, right? AI also can't do
- 37:54your push-ups for you. That's true.
- 37:55Can't can't take your action. Can't tuck
- 37:57your kids into bed at night. Can't can't
- 37:59take action for you. But what it can do
- 38:01is it can bridge your energetic
- 38:03intention, your desires, what you want
- 38:06with the action you need to take to get
- 38:09it by giving you that plan and that's
- 38:11always been the hard part. That's been
- 38:13the hurdle to becoming a luminary in
- 38:14history. Well, people are there's no
- 38:17issue on taking action. Everybody's busy
- 38:20all the time. They're just busy with the
- 38:22wrong things.
- 38:23So if you have a literal roadmap to your
- 38:29ideal future, to your life vision,
- 38:31living your best life that is dynamic
- 38:34meaning you put feedback into it based
- 38:36on real world, you know, experiences,
- 38:38all you have to do is your daily habits
- 38:41cuz the only thing like we we we've
- 38:43we've talked about this before. The um
- 38:46we can imagine the the present and we
- 38:48can sorry the the future and we can
- 38:51remember the past but the only thing
- 38:53that exists empirically is the present
- 38:56right now. It just matters what I do
- 38:58today right now, right? Well, back to
- 39:01the fact that we live in two different
- 39:02realities simultaneously.
- 39:04In the mental world, the past and the
- 39:06future exist. In the physical world,
- 39:08it's always the present. So again, we
- 39:11inhabit two different worlds with
- 39:13completely different opposite sets of
- 39:15laws actually. Literally opposite sets
- 39:17of laws. But both can be grasped and
- 39:19generally understood. And once you
- 39:22understand that you inhabit these two
- 39:23different worlds that behave completely
- 39:25different and you can master both of
- 39:27them, you can go into the internal world
- 39:29of energetic intention
- 39:31where you have unlimited power
- 39:34and you can define uh the vision that
- 39:36you want to achieve and then you come
- 39:38out into the limited world where you
- 39:40don't have complete control but you can
- 39:42chisel away, chisel away, chisel away.
- 39:44And
- 39:44Yep.
- 39:45this this methodology is absolutely
- 39:47foolproof. You cannot fail. You
- 39:49literally cannot fail
- 39:51if you take the time to get crystal
- 39:52clear on the vision of what you want to
- 39:54accomplish, develop a solid plan to
- 39:57achieve that,
- 39:58take action on that plan every single
- 40:00day, pay attention to what's working and
- 40:02what's not working, roll that feedback
- 40:04into the system so that the plan can
- 40:06adjust, and keep going, there's
- 40:08absolutely no way you can fail to make
- 40:11measurable progress toward your life
- 40:13vision
- 40:14every whatever period you you you happen
- 40:16to be measuring, whether it's week,
- 40:18month, year. This isn't
- 40:20you can't fail. The only way you fail is
- 40:21if you quit.
- 40:22That's exactly right.
- 40:23Cuz failure
- 40:25for for for most people, I would I would
- 40:27guess, I would assume, that failure is
- 40:30what we define as feedback. This didn't
- 40:32work, so I'm going to feed that back
- 40:33into my plan.
- 40:34100% right.
- 40:35And now I'm going to do less of that and
- 40:36more of things that Setbacks are
- 40:38literally there to teach you what to do
- 40:41next.
- 40:41Yep.
- 40:42They're they're there to get you to
- 40:43stop, think, take inventory,
- 40:46what worked, what didn't, what do I want
- 40:48to pull forward, what do I want to leave
- 40:49behind? Boom, they're they're the best
- 40:52possible guidance system. Yeah, man.
- 40:54It's um, you know, it again it's pretty
- 40:57it's pretty simple and it seems like
- 41:00it's
- 41:02easier it's there's there's this good
- 41:04quote. I don't know who said this. It
- 41:05was either like Warren Buffett or
- 41:07Charlie Munger, one of these financial
- 41:09dudes,
- 41:10and they were talking about putting
- 41:10money into the S&P 500 and he said,
- 41:12"It's so easy. The only thing that's
- 41:14easier is not doing it."
- 41:16Which is kind of the same thing as as as
- 41:18this. The it's it's so simple and it's
- 41:20so easy, but the only thing that's
- 41:22easier than doing this is just not doing
- 41:25it and kind of letting life, you know,
- 41:26happen to you, living from the inside
- 41:28out as opposed to the outside, living
- 41:30life outside in as opposed to inside
- 41:33out. Yep. Well, you you know also that I
- 41:36don't know I think it's David Goggins
- 41:39who says, "Choose your hard." It's it's
- 41:42hard to get up and and work out every
- 41:44single day. It's also hard to be 200 lb
- 41:46overweight. Choose your hard, right?
- 41:48So, nothing in life is easy. You've got
- 41:50to you've got to
- 41:51make a choice. And if you if you decide
- 41:53not to make the choice, you've still
- 41:55made a choice. You've chosen not to
- 41:56decide and you've chosen to leave it to
- 41:58default, you've chosen to leave it to
- 41:59chance, and that doesn't usually work
- 42:02out great.
- 42:03Yeah. Chance is merely a term for the
- 42:05law of cause and effect not cause and
- 42:07effect not yet recognized.
- 42:09right.
- 42:09Right.
- 42:10So,
- 42:12we we we touched on earlier how you can
- 42:14control the things that matter most in
- 42:16your life, but not geopolitical events,
- 42:18not volcanoes, not earthquakes, not any
- 42:20of this stuff.
- 42:21When something outside of your control
- 42:24hits you hard, like illness or loss or
- 42:28something like this,
- 42:30what do you have under your control
- 42:32there? Well, that depends on the
- 42:33individual situation. And so so
- 42:36luminism, the tenets of luminism, the
- 42:39transformation equation,
- 42:41like like I said, it's it's it's
- 42:43foolproof in the sense that you cannot
- 42:45fail if you follow if if if you follow
- 42:48those steps, you cannot fail to make
- 42:49measurable change. And that is in the
- 42:52absence of serious physical or mental
- 42:55disabilities or or challenges. Sometimes
- 42:59things hit you so hard that you can't do
- 43:00anything but lie in bed for 3 months,
- 43:02right? I mean, we've known people that
- 43:04that's happened to and
- 43:06I'm I definitely don't want to discount
- 43:09the fact that there are sometimes
- 43:10tragedies that are so intense that they
- 43:13literally take up they they everything
- 43:15else has to go away. But most of us
- 43:18don't don't live there. You know, that
- 43:20is the exception, not the rule.
- 43:22Yeah. And the I think this was Marcus
- 43:24Aurelius that said you can't change you
- 43:27can't change what happens, but you can
- 43:29change your reaction to it. It was
- 43:31something like this, right?
- 43:32it's it's one of the greatest quotes and
- 43:33there's there's been a lot of people who
- 43:35have said it, but I think I think close
- 43:37translation to what Marcus Aurelius said
- 43:39is,
- 43:40"If you are vexed by a thing, if you're
- 43:43upset about something, it's not the
- 43:45thing itself that's upsetting you. It's
- 43:48your reaction to the thing. And this you
- 43:51have the power to revoke at any moment.
- 43:54You are in complete control of how
- 43:56you're viewing that. Is it a tragedy or
- 43:59is it a challenge?" Those are two
- 44:01completely different mental orientations
- 44:04to the to to to the same thing.
- 44:06And that's a and that's a big big thing
- 44:09and I I work on that every single day.
- 44:11Like if you master that, if you if you
- 44:13can master your response to the things
- 44:17really master,
- 44:18where you are the master of your your
- 44:20responses and your emotions, that's one
- 44:23of the greatest areas and forms of of
- 44:25human mastery.
- 44:26And that's been a a years-long,
- 44:29you know,
- 44:31path for me. Yeah, it's it's a battle,
- 44:33man, cuz like you said, there's some
- 44:35things that are just like
- 44:36ooh, I've been hit so hard I need to
- 44:38stay in bed for 3 months. Exactly.
- 44:40Right. And and I think that especially,
- 44:42you know, the Stoics
- 44:44the Stoics had a very good grip on
- 44:48focusing on the things they could
- 44:49control. That's what the Stoics did. And
- 44:53they they didn't waste a lot of time on
- 44:54the things that they couldn't control.
- 44:56You know, Justin, one of the greatest
- 44:58pieces of philosophy that has ever ex
- 45:00one of the most dialed-in
- 45:02pieces of philosophy ever is the
- 45:05Serenity Prayer.
- 45:07It is it is so freaking profound. You
- 45:09can live your life God grant me the
- 45:11serenity to accept the things that I
- 45:14can't change,
- 45:16the courage to change the things I can,
- 45:20and the wisdom to know the difference.
- 45:22Now, that third piece, the wisdom to
- 45:24know the difference between what I can
- 45:26control and what I can't control, are
- 45:28what most people get wrong. Right.
- 45:30They sell themselves short.
- 45:32They have they have no idea the level of
- 45:35control that they could exercise over
- 45:37their own existence if they would
- 45:39literally step forward and have the
- 45:41courage to do it. Yeah. And so that that
- 45:44piece of philosophy is it's one of my
- 45:46absolute favorites. It's so dialed-in.
- 45:48Yeah, man. I mean, it's And let me just
- 45:50say something. And and when I was young,
- 45:53I realized that I could control just
- 45:56about everything in my life that
- 45:57mattered. When I had that experience of
- 45:59illumination when I was reading Atlas
- 46:01Shrugged when I was 21, and I realized
- 46:03my life is mine. There is going to be no
- 46:06knight in shining armor coming to my
- 46:07rescue, no one's coming to make my life
- 46:10right, no one's coming to solve my
- 46:11problems. If I want a a healthy, happy,
- 46:15fulfilled, balanced life, it is up to me
- 46:18to learn how to satisfy that desire.
- 46:20And that's what I intend to do.
- 46:23And
- 46:24and ever since ever since that
- 46:26experience, I've I've decided that I'm
- 46:29going to shape my world in the image of
- 46:31my values. I spent 40 years doing it.
- 46:35And as a result, I wake up every day in
- 46:38a world of my own making. I'm surrounded
- 46:40by the exact environment that I built
- 46:41around myself, the relationships that I
- 46:44cultivated according to to the things
- 46:46that matter most to me. I I've sculpted
- 46:49my body to be exactly the way I want it,
- 46:51or more precisely, exactly the way my
- 46:53wife wants it. There's a there's a
- 46:55second party involved in that one.
- 46:57Even my inner world, my my thoughts, my
- 47:00feelings, my emotions, I've worked
- 47:03really really hard on. Haven't mastered
- 47:05that yet, but I've refined them to be
- 47:07more more harmonious and aligned. The
- 47:11reason
- 47:12that Missy and I
- 47:14have the life that we have
- 47:16is because I don't know of any human
- 47:19beings on the planet that have thought
- 47:20more deeply about what they want than we
- 47:23have. And as a result, we we wake up
- 47:26every day in a world of our own making.
- 47:28And we've codified how to do that. We
- 47:32have we've defined a rigorously
- 47:35structured process that anyone can go
- 47:37through, a step-by-step process,
- 47:39to do exactly what we did. We We had to
- 47:41do it manually, and that wasn't so easy.
- 47:43It took decades. But but now there is a
- 47:45structured process, step-by-step, that
- 47:48you can start at the beginning and and
- 47:51go all the way through and and and learn
- 47:53to
- 47:54master the skills that we've learned to
- 47:56master over the last 30 years in a
- 47:59fraction of the time.
- 48:01It's precisely
- 48:03a create-your-character,
- 48:05choose-your-own-reality adventure game
- 48:08that we inhabit right now. And and AI is
- 48:11what makes it possible. Right. Five
- 48:13years ago,
- 48:14anyone with with a little basic training
- 48:16can get clearer on the vision of what
- 48:18they want for their That's what the
- 48:19Lifebook program does that we created.
- 48:22And and you can go through that program,
- 48:24whether it's in a four-day experience
- 48:26or, you know, do it doing it It takes
- 48:27about 18 hours. And and and people who
- 48:30don't think that they have 18 hours to
- 48:32sit down and think through their life,
- 48:34well, I'm sorry. I don't know what to
- 48:36tell you. That's not that's not a lot of
- 48:37time to to take for the benefit that you
- 48:39get about having that North Star and
- 48:41knowing where you're going. So, anyone
- 48:42with a little bit of basic training can
- 48:45can think through a vision, an ideal
- 48:48vision for their life.
- 48:49Also, most people are willing to take
- 48:52action to get what they want once they
- 48:54know what to do. It's it's the plan.
- 48:57It's the bridge between the energetic
- 48:59intention and the 3D physical
- 49:01materialization of that intention that
- 49:03has been so hard. And and like I said,
- 49:06less than 20% of people are capable of
- 49:10doing that heavy intellectual lifting.
- 49:13But now with AI,
- 49:14it makes it available to all of us. So,
- 49:17we're we're stepping into a world where
- 49:19the delta between having the thought of
- 49:22what you want to materialize and the
- 49:24materialization of that thought is going
- 49:26to get shorter and shorter and shorter
- 49:29until we're probably just materializing
- 49:31things very very quickly.
- 49:33Yeah, it's going to be it's going to be
- 49:34interesting to see kind of the
- 49:37the evolution of of humanity cuz you you
- 49:40outlined in the um
- 49:41the Luminous Manifesto, the the power,
- 49:44how the agricultural revolution sort of
- 49:47freed up humans' time. We have food
- 49:50surplus, we have shelter, we don't
- 49:51really have to worry about survival much
- 49:53anymore. And the industrial revolution
- 49:57freed up people's minds, right? Because
- 50:00we automated things with machines and
- 50:03and assembly lines and things like this.
- 50:05And now we're going through the AI
- 50:07revolution, right? Which is Which is
- 50:10freeing us from intellectual labor. The
- 50:12industrial revolution freed us from
- 50:14physical labor. That gave us more time
- 50:16to think, which led to the
- 50:17enlightenment. But now with the AI
- 50:19revolution, we're being freed from
- 50:21intellectual labor. We do not have to do
- 50:24the deductive reasoning. We don't have
- 50:27to do the reverse engineering, the the
- 50:29the intense calculations. We can get
- 50:31that done for us at the speed of light.
- 50:33And that is going to be a game changer
- 50:36in every area of human endeavor. Yeah.
- 50:38You can use artificial intelligence to
- 50:41make your grocery list or to crunch
- 50:43spreadsheets.
- 50:45But the consistent with the highest use
- 50:47of the power, probably the highest use
- 50:50of AI, not probably,
- 50:53but definitely, is to figure out a plan
- 50:55to create the life that you want to
- 50:57live.
- 50:57Exactly. And that plan is going to
- 50:59consist of your goals and your habits.
- 51:01So basically what you do, nobody and
- 51:03nothing can look inside of yourself and
- 51:05decide what you want. AI doesn't have
- 51:07access to that.
- 51:08Your preacher, your teacher, your guru,
- 51:11no one has access to that. Your parents,
- 51:13your best friend, no one has access to
- 51:15that. The only way you can
- 51:17the only way you can get in touch with
- 51:18your desires is to use your insight. And
- 51:21what that means is you turn inward. When
- 51:23you look inward and ask yourself
- 51:25questions, that's called insight.
- 51:27Mhm. And the reason that no one can
- 51:29access that information other than you
- 51:32is because no one stationed at the
- 51:33critical point of view to have access to
- 51:36that information but but you.
- 51:38What do I really want out of life? How
- 51:39do I feel about myself right now? Where
- 51:41am I going in my life? What's the
- 51:43purpose of my life? These are things
- 51:44that only you can can look inside and
- 51:47and and answer. The answers are not out
- 51:49there, they're in here. Yeah. But once
- 51:50you do that and you look inside and you
- 51:52define what it is that you want in the
- 51:54most important areas of your life and
- 51:56you you organize that and you get it
- 51:58together, you pull it together into a
- 51:59vision,
- 52:00you put that into AI and then you you
- 52:03ask AI, what are the six goals that that
- 52:05depends on that I need to accomplish?
- 52:08Oh, wow. So if I just get those six
- 52:11things done, I'll be living my ideal
- 52:13life? Yeah, okay. Can you please break
- 52:15those goals each down into the main
- 52:16milestones that I need to accomplish?
- 52:19Great. Now, what daily habits will
- 52:22ensure the progressive accomplishment of
- 52:24those worthy goals? And now it's not
- 52:27going to be perfect, you're going to
- 52:27have to massage it, you're going to have
- 52:28to work with it, but but that's your
- 52:30plan.
- 52:32You perform your habits every day,
- 52:33you're going to achieve your goals. You
- 52:34achieve your goals, you're going to be
- 52:35living your life vision. And and that's
- 52:37what AI can give you now, the bridge
- 52:40between your energetic intention, your
- 52:42desires,
- 52:43and the physical materialization of
- 52:46those desires.
- 52:47I think it was um
- 52:49like Ralph Waldo Emerson or or Bernard
- 52:51Shaw, one of those quote machine guys
- 52:53that was like we we are what we
- 52:55consistently do every day or something
- 52:57like this.
- 52:58of people have said a variation of that,
- 52:59yeah. But it's it's absolutely true.
- 53:02It's absolutely true.
- 53:04And it's it's very interesting to think
- 53:06about how
- 53:08in order to accomplish this really big,
- 53:10super vivid vision of of my life, what I
- 53:13want to accomplish,
- 53:16I just need to do these things every
- 53:17day.
- 53:17Exactly. Well, it's freeing. It's it it
- 53:20it makes your path astonishingly simple.
- 53:24Yeah. You no longer have to worry about
- 53:26the complexity of your life vision. You
- 53:28no longer have to worry about the
- 53:29magnitude of your goals. You don't have
- 53:30to think about that stuff anymore. You
- 53:32don't have to second-guess. You don't
- 53:33have to All you have to do is wake up
- 53:35and say, I've got these 12 things that
- 53:36I've got to do today and I'm going to
- 53:38check all of them off.
- 53:40You do that 365 days in a row,
- 53:43you're going to be so far down that path
- 53:45to your life vision, it'll boggle your
- 53:47mind.
- 53:48It'll be unrecognizable.
- 53:49Exactly. That's just the deal. We
- 53:51Basically, the transformation equation
- 53:53is the mathematical formula
- 53:56for learning how to harness the power to
- 53:59transform thought into matter. Yeah. So
- 54:03obviously we've talked about the the
- 54:04power and and luminism and luminaries in
- 54:07a very positive light in this in this
- 54:09interview so far.
- 54:10Although it is a the power is neutral,
- 54:14the term luminary is also neutral. There
- 54:17have been bad people that are
- 54:18luminaries. They've left their marks on
- 54:20the world and shaped realities. Lenin,
- 54:22Stalin, Mao, Hitler.
- 54:24Adolf Hitler was a was a very very
- 54:26powerful, very effective luminary who
- 54:28was really really good at shaping the
- 54:30world around him and and turning
- 54:33transforming his thoughts into matter.
- 54:35Yeah. But he used his power for evil.
- 54:37And um in doing so, he destroyed half
- 54:40the world and and millions of lives as a
- 54:42result.
- 54:43Yeah. And and he went completely off the
- 54:44rails. Um another example that's not so
- 54:47extreme is a lot of the brilliant
- 54:50artists and musicians that we've we've
- 54:53had in history who have died of
- 54:55addiction.
- 54:55Mhm. Um that had the power to shape
- 54:58their own realities. They they This is
- 55:00creative power that we're talking about.
- 55:01This is the God spark.
- 55:03There's nothing more powerful in the
- 55:05universe than a mind that has the
- 55:08ability to shape that very universe in
- 55:11the image of its values. That's pretty
- 55:13much
- 55:14that's the God spark, right?
- 55:16Well, you know, people like Jimi Hendrix
- 55:19and Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison and
- 55:21all of the, you know, how many?
- 55:23Countless brilliant, wonderful
- 55:27creative geniuses that have left us so
- 55:29much, but they couldn't control the
- 55:31power that they possessed. It was too
- 55:33much for them. Cuz here's the thing,
- 55:36once you realize that your life is yours
- 55:38and you can take it any direction you
- 55:40want, it is up to you to decide how to
- 55:43drive that car. When you move from the
- 55:45passenger seat into the driver's seat,
- 55:47the power is yours now.
- 55:48Are you going to crash the thing?
- 55:50Because you can crash it if you're if
- 55:52you're not conscious with it. Using the
- 55:53power unconsciously, using it
- 55:56recklessly, losing it using it
- 55:58maliciously is going to lead to
- 56:00destruction for yourself and for the
- 56:02people around you. So it is a it is an
- 56:04awesome
- 56:05but neutral gift that comes with an
- 56:08equally awesome responsibility.
- 56:11It'll take you anywhere you want to go,
- 56:12but it will not replace you as the
- 56:14driver. If you decide that you're going
- 56:16to learn how to how to harness
- 56:18and wield the power,
- 56:21you need to do it carefully,
- 56:23consciously, and for the highest good.
- 56:25For the people that have consciously
- 56:27done evil,
- 56:29obviously their their goal was
- 56:31destruction or or to, you know, affect
- 56:33the world in in the way that they did.
- 56:36But for you you just gave a really
- 56:37interesting example of the artists that
- 56:40have died of addiction, the creatives
- 56:42that have that have died of addiction.
- 56:43That wasn't necessarily them trying to
- 56:45do that. That was the unintentional
- 56:47misuse of the power. Yeah. Cuz you you
- 56:51control everything that matters most.
- 56:53You control what vices you have, you
- 56:55control what drugs you take, you control
- 56:57whatever what whatever goes in or out of
- 57:00your of your body. And Can I share a
- 57:03thought about that? I thought about this
- 57:04a lot. I
- 57:06did the movie Black Star that's about
- 57:08this, that's about the connection
- 57:10between between artists and addiction
- 57:12and death. So these are creative people.
- 57:14Yeah. And and they usually start with a
- 57:17vision. Elvis Presley wants to be a rock
- 57:19star. Marilyn Monroe wants to be a movie
- 57:21star. Whitney Houston wants to be an
- 57:23amazing singer. They all start with a
- 57:25with a vision.
- 57:26But but one of the commonalities it
- 57:29seems to me is once they get into that
- 57:32channel,
- 57:33it becomes too much. It it sort of
- 57:36starts to override or like like Elvis,
- 57:39poor Elvis, he, you know, he's a country
- 57:41boy and all of a sudden he's the biggest
- 57:43thing in the world. There are just the
- 57:47women throwing themselves at him. Money
- 57:49coming at him right and left. It's like
- 57:51no place to hide, no privacy. He can
- 57:55give away Cadillacs. He can There's no
- 57:57limits on anything. Well, damn, dude.
- 57:59Now now you got a country boy behind the
- 58:03wheel of a Maserati.
- 58:05And and and he's not necessarily trained
- 58:07on how to drive that Maserati. He's
- 58:09going to go off the freaking rails at
- 58:10some point. What I've noticed like I
- 58:12remember a Whitney Whitney Houston
- 58:14interview where she said, at some point
- 58:17it just became too much. It was just too
- 58:19much. I couldn't I didn't know she lost
- 58:21her vision. She lost her sense of self.
- 58:24She wasn't living her life anymore from
- 58:26the inside out. It was all coming at her
- 58:28too fast and she didn't know what to do.
- 58:31So
- 58:33those luminaries who have gone off the
- 58:35rails
- 58:36and died from self-destructive behavior,
- 58:39most of them started off with a vision,
- 58:42but that vision
- 58:44got somehow Derailed. derailed and and
- 58:47wasn't strong enough to pull them
- 58:49through. Yeah. Right?
- 58:51It's it's the people the the ones who
- 58:53have survived that almost a great
- 58:55example is is David Bowie. He you you've
- 58:58you've told me about the white diet of
- 58:59of milk, bread, and cocaine and he wakes
- 59:02up in a ditch and he's like, this
- 59:03probably isn't great.
- 59:04Right, right. Right? He he decided to
- 59:06renounce all of these things and then be
- 59:07like, I'm going to go to Didn't he go to
- 59:10He went to Berlin. He got off coke and
- 59:12got on heroin. He went to Berlin with
- 59:13Iggy Pop, right?
- 59:14Right. But he eventually he eventually
- 59:16was able to end his relationship with
- 59:18with drugs.
- 59:19The the the point is, if you have the in
- 59:22in the example of I'm I'm a rock star,
- 59:25I'm a country boy, and I I have
- 59:28come into basically a lot of power. I
- 59:30have influence over people. I can do
- 59:32whatever I want. Money's not really an
- 59:33issue. Things like this.
- 59:35The ability to renounce that in favor of
- 59:38your life vision is one that is
- 59:40literally a matter of life and death.
- 59:42Yeah, that's right. Right?
- 59:43Yeah. So, you know, obviously I I don't
- 59:46think that many people watching this are
- 59:48in Elvis's shoes. I don't think that
- 59:50they're like, "Oh, well, I was a country
- 59:51boy and now I have millions of dollars
- 59:53and I have all these I'm giving away all
- 59:54these cars and things like this."
- 59:56But, there are tradeoffs in life that
- 59:58you must make in order to get to your
- 1:00:00life vision, right? If If you have a
- 1:00:03self-destructive behavior, limiting
- 1:00:04belief, or something like this, there
- 1:00:08there are tradeoffs that you need to
- 1:00:09make in order to get there.
- 1:00:11How How would you say
- 1:00:14What What would you say is the best way
- 1:00:16for people at home watching this to
- 1:00:18trade off limiting beliefs, destructive
- 1:00:21behaviors, things like this in the name
- 1:00:22of their life vision? If you have a
- 1:00:24clear life vision, it's a lot easier
- 1:00:27to participate in deferred
- 1:00:29gratification. Here's the problem.
- 1:00:31Without a clear life vision, if you
- 1:00:33don't know what you want in your life,
- 1:00:35you can easily find yourself in a place
- 1:00:37where most people find themselves, and
- 1:00:38that's gravitating toward what makes you
- 1:00:40feel good in the moment.
- 1:00:41Mhm.
- 1:00:42Right? Which is every form of addiction
- 1:00:44you can think of. It's It's drugs. It's
- 1:00:45alcohol. It's pornography. It's
- 1:00:47gambling. It's It's you know, that whole
- 1:00:49ball of of stuff. Going toward pleasure
- 1:00:53and away from pain. Going toward
- 1:00:54pleasure in the moment and away from
- 1:00:56pain without regard to the long-term
- 1:00:59consequences. When you have a clear life
- 1:01:01vision,
- 1:01:03you accept both pleasure and pain as a
- 1:01:05necessary part of the journey. Right.
- 1:01:07Some days are going to be easy. Some
- 1:01:09days are going to be hard. I'm going to
- 1:01:10have my wins. I'm going to have my
- 1:01:11losses. It's all part of the process.
- 1:01:14That's not what's important, that I have
- 1:01:15a hard day here and an easy day here. My
- 1:01:18destination is what's important. So,
- 1:01:21that clear vision again, it's a
- 1:01:23decision-making framework. It allows you
- 1:01:25to defer a little short-term
- 1:01:27gratification because you know you've
- 1:01:29got a a much bigger reward waiting for
- 1:01:31you in the future, which is the
- 1:01:33attainment of your ideal vision.
