  57. 1:38ben shapiro to get started today
  58. 1:40alrighty so
  59. 1:42you may have noticed that critical race
  60. 1:44theory has become the topic of the day
  61. 1:46and the media are fighting mad about it
  62. 1:48they are very very angry about this as
  63. 1:50we'll discuss critical race theory has
  64. 1:52been infiltrating our institutions for
  65. 1:54literally decades
  66. 1:55and it is the ideology that has taken
  67. 1:57over most of our major institutions this
  68. 1:59is why we saw the specter last week of
  69. 2:01an admiral in the united states navy
  70. 2:02explaining why he had recommended that
  71. 2:05sailors be reading ibram x candy who's
  72. 2:08one of the great race grifters and
  73. 2:09racists of our time it's the reason why
  74. 2:11there are corporations all over america
  75. 2:14training their workers that if they are
  76. 2:16white they suffer from inevitable
  77. 2:18whiteness and this inevitable whiteness
  78. 2:21is in fact a symptom of discrimination
  79. 2:23it's like to do the work do the work in
  80. 2:25order to be properly woke and in order
  81. 2:28to properly address their own flaws
  82. 2:31these inherent flaws in them not they've
  83. 2:33done anything bad in their life but
  84. 2:34because of their whiteness they are bad
  85. 2:37this is why you see corporations giving
  86. 2:38money to things like gibbermex kennedy
  87. 2:40center that's why you see jack dorsey of
  88. 2:41twitter giving 10 million dollars to
  89. 2:43upper mexican center for anti-racist
  90. 2:45research which today has produced no
  91. 2:46actual research
  92. 2:48it's the reason why you see the media
  93. 2:50consistently using the language of crt
  94. 2:53always using the language of equity
  95. 2:54rather than the language of equality the
  96. 2:56language of equality is in the
  97. 2:57declaration of independence it's in the
  98. 2:59constitution the language of equity is
  99. 3:00not because equity is a mush term that
  100. 3:02in modern parlance has come to mean
  101. 3:04equal outcome rather than actual
  102. 3:07fairness
  103. 3:08by fairness typically speaking if you go
  104. 3:10back to the ancients the idea is
  105. 3:11fairness is you get what you deserve
  106. 3:13right your action results in particular
  107. 3:14results and this would be equity this
  108. 3:16would be justice that is not what the
  109. 3:18modern definition of equity means the
  110. 3:19modern definition of equity means that
  111. 3:21no matter what your action the outcome
  112. 3:23should always be the same because after
  113. 3:24all the system is rigged against you and
  114. 3:27failure is just a symptom that the
  115. 3:28system is rigged against you the basic
  116. 3:31tenets of critical race theory have in
  117. 3:33fact been watered down and then spread
  118. 3:36like manure all the way through most of
  119. 3:38our major institutions from corporate
  120. 3:39america to the media to academia where
  121. 3:41it began and certainly into the halls of
  122. 3:44government
  123. 3:45and what you see from the media is an
  124. 3:46unwillingness to confront this or a
  125. 3:48willingness to champion it
  126. 3:50the media's reaction on this has been
  127. 3:51utterly irresponsible because of course
  128. 3:53they are proponents of crt crt
  129. 3:55is not merely a legal theory it started
  130. 3:57off as legal theory sort of like
  131. 3:58intersectionality started off as a legal
  132. 4:00theory and then it became an actual
  133. 4:02activist point
  134. 4:04this happens in politics all the time by
  135. 4:05the way there are kind of highfalutin
  136. 4:07theories and then they are kind of
  137. 4:09dehydrated and dehydrated more and
  138. 4:11dehydrated more to the point where they
  139. 4:12become a pill and then all you do is you
  140. 4:14take the pill and now you have become
  141. 4:16sort of an advocate for that ideology
  142. 4:18and the game that people like to play is
  143. 4:20that after people take that pill and get
  144. 4:22the inevitable results of that pill then
  145. 4:24they say well you know that really has
  146. 4:25nothing to do with the original ideology
  147. 4:26right this is just boiling down to that
  148. 4:28but here is the reality the reality is
  149. 4:30that crt was corrupt and wrong in its
  150. 4:32first instance
  151. 4:34and that the logical progression of crt
  152. 4:36what we are seeing now is in fact
  153. 4:38connected to critical race theory
  154. 4:40so i'm going to start today
  155. 4:42by going through what exactly critical
  156. 4:44race theory is in the words of some of
  157. 4:46the creators of critical race theory
  158. 4:48and then we're going to show you how the
  159. 4:50media boil this down and how terrible it
  160. 4:52is for america because they are actively
  161. 4:54spreading this stuff now the reason that
  162. 4:56i'm bringing this up is because
  163. 4:57yesterday i was browsing in advance of
  164. 4:59the show
  165. 5:01and i noticed that the front page of the
  166. 5:03washington post like the front page of
  167. 5:05the washington post
  168. 5:07had this video on it
  169. 5:09okay and the the
  170. 5:10title on the video it's from some new
  171. 5:12show they call the lily
  172. 5:14is what is white racial identity and why
  173. 5:16is it important
  174. 5:17and the first thing that occurred to me
  175. 5:19when i saw this by the way is that video
  176. 5:22that was put out by the comedian
  177. 5:24uh the i'm trying to remember his name
  178. 5:27ryan something
  179. 5:29that video in which it showed a woke
  180. 5:30person and a racist person and it turns
  181. 5:32out they agreed on everything okay
  182. 5:34because how else do you get a headline
  183. 5:36from the washington post that says what
  184. 5:38is white racial identity and why is it
  185. 5:39important is this the very top of the
  186. 5:41washington post page it was connected to
  187. 5:43a five minute video
  188. 5:45about
  189. 5:46basically why you are if you are white
  190. 5:48you're inevitably guilty and you're
  191. 5:50responsible for evil citizen
  192. 5:52evil systems that are promulgated
  193. 5:53throughout american life and that result
  194. 5:56in inequity
  195. 5:57the video is amazing
  196. 5:59so we're going to start before we get to
  197. 6:01the video with an explanation of what
  198. 6:02crt is and then you'll see how it has
  199. 6:04been basically rebranded repackaged
  200. 6:07gussied up and then just shoved
  201. 6:09in your face via places like the
  202. 6:11washington post
  203. 6:12okay so here are the basic tenets of
  204. 6:14critical race theory and richard delgado
  205. 6:16and gene stefanczek were two of the
  206. 6:18founders of critical race theory in the
  207. 6:20late 1970s okay so what i'm about to
  208. 6:22quote is from their book critical race
  209. 6:23theory and introduction and the reason
  210. 6:24i'm doing this is because one of the
  211. 6:26games that the media love to play is
  212. 6:27when you say critical race theory they
  213. 6:29will say what do you even mean by
  214. 6:30critical race theory what i mean is
  215. 6:32exactly what the founders of critical
  216. 6:33race theory are saying how about that
  217. 6:35and what i mean by critical race theory
  218. 6:37is exactly what critical race theory is
  219. 6:39i don't mean what the media say that it
  220. 6:41is because they lie about it i don't
  221. 6:43mean what people who don't know a
  222. 6:44critical race theory say that it is say
  223. 6:46that it is
  224. 6:47a critical race theory was like assigned
  225. 6:49reading when i was at harvard law school
  226. 6:51this was a well-respected branch of
  227. 6:53thought at harvard law school when i was
  228. 6:54there and that was all the way back in
  229. 6:562007 i graduated
  230. 6:58and so here is some of what they say
  231. 7:00delgado and stefanczyk in critical race
  232. 7:03theory and introduction quote although
  233. 7:05critical race theory began as a movement
  234. 7:06in the law it has rapidly spread beyond
  235. 7:08that discipline
  236. 7:09okay so this gives the lie that you'll
  237. 7:11sometimes hear from people in the media
  238. 7:13well you know it was just a legal way of
  239. 7:14looking at things it really has nothing
  240. 7:16to do with the activism we see it wrong
  241. 7:17okay even the founders of that movement
  242. 7:20understand that it is a movement it
  243. 7:21start like most things in life it
  244. 7:23started as an academic theory and then
  245. 7:25eventually it turned into a political
  246. 7:26activist movement and marxism originally
  247. 7:29started as an academic theory and then
  248. 7:30it turned into a politically activist
  249. 7:31movement that resulted in the slaughter
  250. 7:32of you know 100 million people okay so
  251. 7:34it turns out a lot of ideological
  252. 7:36movements eventually turn out to be
  253. 7:38practical political movement so here's
  254. 7:40what they write although critical race
  255. 7:42theory began as a movement in the law it
  256. 7:43has rapidly spread beyond that
  257. 7:45discipline today many in the field of
  258. 7:47education consider themselves critical
  259. 7:48race theorists who use crt's ideas to
  260. 7:51understand issues of social of school
  261. 7:52discipline and hierarchy tracking
  262. 7:54controversies over curriculum and
  263. 7:55history an iq and achievement testing
  264. 7:58political scientists ponder voting
  265. 8:00strategies coined by critical race
  266. 8:01theorists ethnic studies courses often
  267. 8:03include a unit on critical race theory
  268. 8:05and american studies departments teach
  269. 8:06material on critical white studies
  270. 8:08developed by crt writers unlike some
  271. 8:10academic disciplines critical race
  272. 8:12theory contains an activist dimension
  273. 8:14again this is the founders admitting
  274. 8:15this is an activist ideology
  275. 8:17it not only tries to understand our
  276. 8:19social situation but to change it it
  277. 8:21sets out not only to ascertain how
  278. 8:23society organizes itself along racial
  279. 8:25lines and hierarchies but to transform
  280. 8:26it for the better
  281. 8:28i remember not me saying it these are
  282. 8:30the founders of critical race theory
  283. 8:31saying this it is an activist ideology
  284. 8:34designed to tear away at the systems of
  285. 8:36the united states
  286. 8:38and they're bragging that it has spread
  287. 8:39into every major discipline in the
  288. 8:41united states so it's not the right
  289. 8:42disclaiming this is not some sort of
  290. 8:43chimera it's not a figment of our
  291. 8:44imagination the people who founded it
  292. 8:46brag openly about how this ideology has
  293. 8:48spread through our institutions
  294. 8:50everything from testing philosophy with
  295. 8:52regard to educational movements to how
  296. 8:55people vote right all of that has been
  297. 8:57bled in with regard to crt
  298. 9:00so what are the principles of critical
  299. 9:01race theory
  300. 9:03so there are essentially four laid out
  301. 9:04by delgado and stefanczyk in this
  302. 9:06particular book there are two that
  303. 9:08pretty much everybody agrees on and
  304. 9:09there are two that are kind of argued
  305. 9:10about because they're in direct conflict
  306. 9:11with one another it's the first two that
  307. 9:13everybody agrees about
  308. 9:14our quote first that racism is ordinary
  309. 9:17not aberrational normal science the
  310. 9:20usual way society does business the
  311. 9:21common everyday experience of most
  312. 9:23people of color in this country
  313. 9:25right so that means that you are racist
  314. 9:27even if you don't know you're racist
  315. 9:29because the systems are racist and you
  316. 9:30are shaped by the systems
  317. 9:32racism is not an aberration you can't
  318. 9:33point to that guy over there and say ah
  319. 9:34that guy's a racist because he says
  320. 9:36racist stuff
  321. 9:37no that's not how racism is defined
  322. 9:39racism is just the water in which we
  323. 9:41swim racism is the air that we breathe
  324. 9:43everything that surrounds us the
  325. 9:45mesmatic substances that surround us and
  326. 9:47in which we live our lives those are
  327. 9:49where racism lives racism is ordinary
  328. 9:51the way that breathing air is ordinary
  329. 9:53and drinking water is ordinary right
  330. 9:55it's normal science second most would
  331. 9:58agree that our system of white over
  332. 9:59color ascendancy serves important
  333. 10:01purposes both psychic and material the
  334. 10:04first feature ordinariness means that
  335. 10:05racism is difficult to cure or address
  336. 10:08okay this is one of the key tenets of
  337. 10:09critical race theory it's very very
  338. 10:11difficult to fight racism very difficult
  339. 10:13now the reason they say this is not
  340. 10:14because they actually want to fight
  341. 10:15racism the reason they say this is
  342. 10:16because their entire proposition is that
  343. 10:19you cannot fight racism as an individual
  344. 10:21level if you call out a racist incident
  345. 10:23you have not helped fight racism the
  346. 10:25only way to fight racism is to search
  347. 10:27within your own heart and even then it's
  348. 10:29really not within your own heart because
  349. 10:30you may have nothing but good intentions
  350. 10:31you really have to search inside your
  351. 10:33own adherence to your environment right
  352. 10:35you have to search inside your own
  353. 10:37adherence to american systems everything
  354. 10:39must be leveled everything must be torn
  355. 10:41out by the roots that's how you fight
  356. 10:43racism and this is central to their
  357. 10:45theory
  358. 10:46it means that racism is difficult to
  359. 10:48cure or address colorblind or formal
  360. 10:50conceptions of equality expressed in
  361. 10:52rules that insist only on treatment that
  362. 10:54is the same across the board can thus
  363. 10:55remedy only the most blatant forms of
  364. 10:57discrimination such as mortgage
  365. 10:59redlining or the refusal to hire a black
  366. 11:00phd rather than a white high school
  367. 11:02dropout that do stand out and attract
  368. 11:03our attention
  369. 11:05and so here is where we immediately
  370. 11:06start sliding into if there is no equal
  371. 11:08outcome then some sort of deep inequity
  372. 11:10has been done right they're saying that
  373. 11:12if you fight racism by pointing out that
  374. 11:14a black phd should get the math job over
  375. 11:16the white high school dropout that's not
  376. 11:18actually fighting racism it doesn't do
  377. 11:19any good because racism is hard to fight
  378. 11:21and that would be easy
  379. 11:23that's one of the games that the crt
  380. 11:25advocates like to play is refusal to
  381. 11:26define terms they like to be
  382. 11:28deliberately vague the vaguer they are
  383. 11:30the more they can claim that you are
  384. 11:32failing to achieve their purposes
  385. 11:34see when you give people the idea that
  386. 11:35they get to go ghost hunting that
  387. 11:36basically the way you fight racism is
  388. 11:38not to fight actual on-the-ground racism
  389. 11:40it's to actually ghost hunt
  390. 11:42and no matter what they do you can say
  391. 11:43they've not achieved it
  392. 11:45no matter what racism they have thought
  393. 11:46no matter what racism they oppose you
  394. 11:48can say well it doesn't matter because
  395. 11:49you see it's very difficult to fight
  396. 11:51racism and you haven't internalized that
  397. 11:53battle yet
  398. 11:54okay this is why critical race theory in
  399. 11:56essence is just a cult
  400. 11:58you're supposed to follow whatever the
  401. 12:00cult leaders tell you and if you don't
  402. 12:01follow what the cult leaders tell you
  403. 12:03they will tell you that you have not
  404. 12:04been sufficiently
  405. 12:06loyal to the cause of anti-racism turn
  406. 12:09and get to more from the authors of
  407. 12:11critical race theory and i'm quoting the
  408. 12:12people who write this stuff i'm not
  409. 12:13making it up i'm quoting it to you
  410. 12:15because and the reason i'm doing this
  411. 12:16again is because the media lie and they
  412. 12:18say that if you are critical of critical
  413. 12:20race theories because you haven't done
  414. 12:21the reading
  415. 12:22okay i'm reading you the reading so now
  416. 12:23you've done the reading i'll get to that

  467. 13:43again ring.com
  468. 13:46go check them out right now alrighty so
  469. 13:50richard delgado and gene stefancek
  470. 13:52continue in critical race theory and
  471. 13:53introduction so we've already
  472. 13:54established a few key principles here
  473. 13:56okay one racism is ordinary not
  474. 13:57aboriginal two
  475. 13:59white over color ascendancy serves
  476. 14:00important purposes okay what they say
  477. 14:02here is that this second principle white
  478. 14:05over color ascendancy serves important
  479. 14:07purpose purposes
  480. 14:08this
  481. 14:09actually
  482. 14:11is deeply tied into policy they say this
  483. 14:13second feature sometimes called interest
  484. 14:15convergence or material determinism as a
  485. 14:17further dimension because racism
  486. 14:19advances the interests of both white
  487. 14:21elites material or materially and
  488. 14:23working-class people psychically large
  489. 14:25segments of society have little
  490. 14:26incentive to eradicate it okay so the
  491. 14:28idea here is that racism again is all
  492. 14:30around you and it serves you you may
  493. 14:32think that you're against racism you're
  494. 14:34not you're happy about racism because if
  495. 14:35you're an elite it serves you materially
  496. 14:37the system serves you as an elite the
  497. 14:39system serves you the system is racist
  498. 14:41therefore you are racist in upholding
  499. 14:43the system if you are a poor white
  500. 14:44person you are still privileged by the
  501. 14:47system because you psychically get to
  502. 14:49look at all these people of color and
  503. 14:50say those people of color are less than
  504. 14:51i am and therefore i have more common
  505. 14:53cause with the white elite than i do
  506. 14:55with the people who are of my own class
  507. 14:56you may notice the marxist tinge here
  508. 14:58right because now we're talking about
  509. 14:59class differentiation and why really
  510. 15:01people should have class solidarity
  511. 15:02rather than racial solidarity and you
  512. 15:04can see that the marxist dimension has
  513. 15:06started to slip in here because as we'll
  514. 15:07explain in just a second critical race
  515. 15:09theory isn't a neo-marxist movement it
  516. 15:11is an offshoot of critical theory which
  517. 15:12is in and of itself a marxist movement
  518. 15:16okay so what are the effects of this
  519. 15:18okay so derek bell who's again in a
  520. 15:20major critical race theorist will get
  521. 15:21more on him in a second he had a
  522. 15:23shocking proposal the brown versus board
  523. 15:24of education for example right that is
  524. 15:26one of the great anti-racist moments in
  525. 15:27american history with an actual supreme
  526. 15:29court decision saying that under the
  527. 15:30constitution of the united states it is
  528. 15:32illegal
  529. 15:33for blacks and whites to be forced into
  530. 15:36separate schools derek bell says that
  531. 15:38this just promulgated more racism
  532. 15:41he says that the brown versus board of
  533. 15:43education considered a great triumph of
  534. 15:44civil rights litigation may have
  535. 15:46resulted more from the self-interest of
  536. 15:48elite whites than a desire to help
  537. 15:50blacks
  538. 15:51okay so these are the first two themes
  539. 15:52and these are the ones that everybody
  540. 15:53kind of agrees on one is that racism is
  541. 15:55ordinary not aberrational and the second
  542. 15:57is that that ordinariness serves
  543. 15:58important psychic and material purposes
  544. 16:00for white people right your whiteness
  545. 16:02makes you enjoy the racism of the system
  546. 16:04okay then we get to two principles of
  547. 16:07crt that are sort of in conflict with
  548. 16:08one another
  549. 16:09and when i say sort of i mean almost
  550. 16:11directly in opposition to one another
  551. 16:13according to delgado and stephanie a
  552. 16:15third theme of critical race theory the
  553. 16:16social construction thesis holds that
  554. 16:18race and races are products of social
  555. 16:20thought and relations not objective
  556. 16:22inherent or fixed they correspond to no
  557. 16:24biological or genetic reality rather
  558. 16:26races are categories that so society
  559. 16:28invents manipulates or retires when
  560. 16:30convenient
  561. 16:31okay so then you might say okay well
  562. 16:33that sounds more like you know the
  563. 16:35martin luther king thing okay so if race
  564. 16:36is a social construction then we really
  565. 16:39should attempt to see beyond race we
  566. 16:40should see individuals as individuals
  567. 16:42okay but no this is not what critical
  568. 16:44race theorists argue instead they argue
  569. 16:46that systems of power are racist and
  570. 16:48they have made up race as a social
  571. 16:50construct in order to damn other people
  572. 16:52but the way that you get beyond that is
  573. 16:54not by seeing beyond race the way that
  574. 16:56you get beyond that is by embracing race
  575. 16:58okay which brings us to the fourth
  576. 16:59thesis which is a direct conflict
  577. 17:01thesis the fourth thesis
  578. 17:03is the notion of a unique voice of color
  579. 17:06coexisting in someone uneasy tension
  580. 17:08with anti-essentialism the voice of
  581. 17:09color thesis holds that because of their
  582. 17:11different histories and experiences with
  583. 17:12oppression black indian asian and latino
  584. 17:15writers and thinkers may be able to
  585. 17:16communicate to their white counterparts
  586. 17:18matters that the whites are unlikely to
  587. 17:20know minority status in other words
  588. 17:22brings with it a presumed competence to
  589. 17:23speak about race and racism
  590. 17:25the legal storytelling movement urges
  591. 17:27black and brown writers to recount their
  592. 17:28experiences with racism and legal system
  593. 17:30and to apply their own unique
  594. 17:32perspectives to assess laws master
  595. 17:33narratives this is where you get into
  596. 17:35the superiority of the of the
  597. 17:37perspective of people of color right
  598. 17:39white people can't talk about this stuff
  599. 17:42they're presumed incompetent to talk
  600. 17:43about this stuff now you may say wait a
  601. 17:44second i thought that race was a social
  602. 17:45construct ah but no because in essence
  603. 17:49this fourth thesis is more important
  604. 17:50than the third thesis
  605. 17:52there's racial essentialism if you are
  606. 17:54white you suffer from whiteness if
  607. 17:55you're a person of color you have a
  608. 17:56presumed superiority to speak about
  609. 17:58racism and we must listen to your
  610. 18:00perspectives on the system
  611. 18:03now all of this is the outgrowth of
  612. 18:04critical theory critical theory is a
  613. 18:06branch of thought that began in the
  614. 18:07early 20th century with something called
  615. 18:08the frankfurt school the frankfurt
  616. 18:09school posited basically that systems of
  617. 18:12power and hierarchy throughout the world
  618. 18:14were in fact covers for discrimination
  619. 18:16and cruelty
  620. 18:18and thus we had to be super critical
  621. 18:19about all of those systems of power it
  622. 18:21was a marxist theory that basically said
  623. 18:23that
  624. 18:25everything bad in nazi germany was a
  625. 18:26product of capitalism everything america
  626. 18:29the frankfurt theorists actually openly
  627. 18:30said that america in the 1950s was
  628. 18:32proto-fascist that was going to lead to
  629. 18:34nazi germany which is of course insane
  630. 18:36they were marxist of course they
  631. 18:37believed that a critical theory
  632. 18:40is is a sort of neo-marxist movement in
  633. 18:42which power defines everything right
  634. 18:44which as you can see bled the only
  635. 18:46difference between sort of critical
  636. 18:47theory and critical race theory you can
  637. 18:49see the similarity in the names is the
  638. 18:50word race instead of saying that all the
  639. 18:53systems of power are created in order to
  640. 18:55help the upper class which is sort of a
  641. 18:57critical theory posits critical race
  642. 18:59theory posits that all of the systems of
  643. 19:00power were created in order to help
  644. 19:02people of specific races
  645. 19:04okay which is why there is pretty heavy
  646. 19:06crossovers so derek bell who i mentioned
  647. 19:07earlier again one of the
  648. 19:09founders of critical race theory and a
  649. 19:10man who barack obama famously hugged in
  650. 19:13the 1980s as he was trying to preserve
  651. 19:14his tenure at harvard law school despite
  652. 19:16having done very little academic work
  653. 19:17derek bell wrote the whole liberal world
  654. 19:20view of private rights and public
  655. 19:21sovereignty mediated by the rule of law
  656. 19:24needed to be exploded
  657. 19:25a worldview premised upon the public and
  658. 19:27private spheres is an attractive mirage
  659. 19:29that masks the reality of economic and
  660. 19:31political power right so what is the end
  661. 19:32goal of critical race theory according
  662. 19:34people like derek bell explode the
  663. 19:35system
  664. 19:36the end goal is to teach everybody that
  665. 19:38they are the products of a corrupt
  666. 19:39system the only way to extirpate and
  667. 19:42exergate your own whiteness
  668. 19:44is to involve yourself in this great
  669. 19:47task of exploding the system ideas of
  670. 19:50private and public rights the idea of
  671. 19:52liberal
  672. 19:53world views in which you have the rights
  673. 19:55of freedom of speech or the right to own
  674. 19:57your own property all of these things
  675. 19:59lead to discrimination and not not only
  676. 20:01lead to them spring from a desire to
  677. 20:03uphold discrimination
  678. 20:05this is the fundamental political theory
  679. 20:07of critical race theory
  680. 20:09okay so all of this is the lead up
  681. 20:11to how the media present this stuff
  682. 20:13okay so the way that the media present
  683. 20:15this stuff is as a way to fight racism
  684. 20:18so they discovered that using the term
  685. 20:19critical race theory is actually not
  686. 20:20particularly helpful because people look
  687. 20:22at it and they go wait this sounds like
  688. 20:23super stupid and racist it sounds like
  689. 20:25you want to tear down the most
  690. 20:26successful systems that have ever been
  691. 20:27created for creating the possibility of
  692. 20:30prosperity
  693. 20:31wealth
  694. 20:32equality right you want to get rid of
  695. 20:35those sounds like you want to explode
  696. 20:36those why would we possibly listen to
  697. 20:37you so instead they came up with this
  698. 20:38new rubric and the new rubric is this is
  699. 20:40anti-racism
  700. 20:42so what they do is they take critical
  701. 20:43race theories idea of race which is that
  702. 20:45is implicit in everything and then they
  703. 20:47say in order to be anti-racist you have
  704. 20:49to tear down the systems they've shifted
  705. 20:51the definition of racism from stuff that
  706. 20:52we all understood to be racism namely a
  707. 20:54belief in the superiority or inferiority
  708. 20:56of an individual based on their racial
  709. 20:58characteristics
  710. 21:00they took that they trashed it and i
  711. 21:01said no that's not what real racism is
  712. 21:03real racism is believing in the system
  713. 21:06so anti-racism would be destroying the
  714. 21:08system
  715. 21:09so under that rubric of quote-unquote
  716. 21:11anti-racism they've started to
  717. 21:12infiltrate all of the major institutions
  718. 21:14the word racism is such a powerful word
  719. 21:17in american public life because of the
  720. 21:19true and vicious history of racism in
  721. 21:21the united states that if you can hijack
  722. 21:23that word if you can morph that word
  723. 21:25into a code word for the system and
  724. 21:27tearing down the system if you can do
  725. 21:28all of that you've achieved unbelievable
  726. 21:30things on behalf of a left that wishes
  727. 21:32to destroy all of those systems in the
  728. 21:34name of some sort of greater equity and
  729. 21:36this is exactly what the washington post
  730. 21:38proposes to do now to normal people who
  731. 21:39watch this stuff it looks like
  732. 21:41gobbledygook you watch this and you're
  733. 21:42like i don't understand what in the f
  734. 21:44you are talking about when we watch this
  735. 21:46washington post video together which
  736. 21:47again is about five minutes long when we
  737. 21:49watch that together and listen to it
  738. 21:50you'll see it makes no sense nobody
  739. 21:52bothers to define their terms these
  740. 21:54folks sound as though they are cult
  741. 21:56members trying to explain the cult to
  742. 21:58other people
  743. 22:00it sounds weird and bizarre it sounds
  744. 22:02vague and unpractical but that is the
  745. 22:04whole purpose the whole purpose is in
  746. 22:06order for you to be
  747. 22:08a member of the elect a member of the
  748. 22:10political and intellectual elite you
  749. 22:13have to buy into a system
  750. 22:15it is all about social virtue signaling
  751. 22:17you wonder what people are learning in
  752. 22:18colleges these days they're not learning
  753. 22:20about american history for sure instead
  754. 22:21what they are learning is how to speak
  755. 22:23this language because this is the key
  756. 22:26into the elite in modern american
  757. 22:28society it's the key to institutional
  758. 22:29power in american society
  759. 22:31is the woke run the place now in just
  760. 22:33one second we're going to go through
  761. 22:34this video because it really is
  762. 22:34indicative of where we are in the debate
  763. 22:36and why there is blowback right now well
  764. 22:38justified blowback first let us talk
  765. 22:41about why you don't want to go to the
  766. 22:42auto parts store because who wants to go
  767. 22:44to the auto parts store you're going to
  768. 22:45stand in line for like 15 minutes then
  769. 22:47you're gonna get to the front of the
  770. 22:48line you're gonna answer a bunch of
  771. 22:49questions and then the guy behind the
  772. 22:50counter is gonna be like oh i don't have
  773. 22:51that part in stock what if i just order
  774. 22:52it for you online and upcharge you by 30
  775. 22:55or you could just go to the intro labs
  776. 22:56because the interweb is a magical place
  777. 22:58go to rockauto.com rockauto.com is so
  778. 23:00much easier than walking into a store
  779. 23:02and someone demanding quick answers to
  780. 23:03things like is your odyssey and lx or an
  781. 23:05ex and then they usually just have to
  782. 23:07order the part online anyway because
  783. 23:08there are so many types of cars it's
  784. 23:09impossible to keep them all stocked
  785. 23:11instead rockauto.com offers the lowest
  786. 23:13prices possible rather than changing
  787. 23:14prices based on what the market will
  788. 23:15bear like airlines do
  789. 23:17why spend up to twice as much for the

  804. 23:42right shapiro in there how did you hear
  805. 23:44about xbox so they know that we sent you
  806. 23:45okay finally this brings us to the
  807. 23:47washington post understanding your
  808. 23:49whiteness video
  809. 23:50it's all about understanding your
  810. 23:52whiteness
  811. 23:53and truly
  812. 23:54this is racist crap because as you may
  813. 23:56have noticed the notion of racial
  814. 23:57essentialism that your racial
  815. 23:59characteristics define you and define
  816. 24:00your perspective is racism the notion
  817. 24:03that we ought to treat you as superior
  818. 24:05or inferior in your outlook on the world
  819. 24:07based on your race is in fact the
  820. 24:10classical definition of racism but it's
  821. 24:11now anti-racism because it's directed
  822. 24:13against destroying the quote-unquote
  823. 24:14racist systems okay so this comes out as
  824. 24:16a weird bunch of gobbledygook nonsense
  825. 24:17i'm gonna try and translate it for you
  826. 24:19here here's the washington post lead
  827. 24:20story yesterday again from washington
  828. 24:23post the lily
  829. 24:25racism racialization white body
  830. 24:27supremacy is not episodic it's
  831. 24:30structural remember that there were um
  832. 24:34thousands of george floyd before the one
  833. 24:36that you saw your bodily response to
  834. 24:39this this horror right
  835. 24:42is not the same thing as you dealing
  836. 24:45with the structural aspects of business
  837. 24:47george floyd's death became a deeply
  838. 24:49personal and racial tragedy for many
  839. 24:51americans for the first time white
  840. 24:54people were becoming aware of their
  841. 24:56whiteness and the systemic ways that
  842. 24:57white supremacy affects all of us white
  843. 25:00people in particular
  844. 25:02get aroused get upset say this is unjust
  845. 25:05this isn't right this shouldn't happen
  846. 25:07there's like an awakening that happens
  847. 25:09and so part of their racial identity
  848. 25:12development is
  849. 25:13seeing that awakening what they do with
  850. 25:15it
  851. 25:16is really the next piece of it in this
  852. 25:19episode we're tackling white racial
  853. 25:21identity and why understanding your
  854. 25:23whiteness is integral to becoming
  855. 25:24self-aware as a white person i'm nicole
  856. 25:26ellis and this is the new posit there
  857. 25:28for a second
  858. 25:30alrighty so
  859. 25:32understanding your white identity now
  860. 25:33you may have thought to yourself i don't
  861. 25:34really have a white identity like for me
  862. 25:37i'd be considered white by these folks
  863. 25:39i'm jewish my identity is many different
  864. 25:40things but kind of in terms of ethnicity
  865. 25:43it's more jewish because that actually
  866. 25:45connects to how i act in the real world
  867. 25:47and and honestly i don't care about
  868. 25:49ethnicity so my jewish ethnic identity
  869. 25:50is really only tied into the fact that
  870. 25:52as the son of a jewish mother i am
  871. 25:53religiously jewish right by that law but
  872. 25:56my ethnicity really has nothing to do
  873. 25:57with it and the idea of a general white
  874. 25:59identity is also very weird because the
  875. 26:02only aspect of quote-unquote white
  876. 26:04identity is generally in american
  877. 26:05history in opposition to quote-unquote
  878. 26:07black identity or asian identity or
  879. 26:10mexican identity but the reality is that
  880. 26:12for the vast majority of history and
  881. 26:14including american history people didn't
  882. 26:15see themselves in terms of white
  883. 26:17identity okay they saw themselves in
  884. 26:19terms of sort of where they came from
  885. 26:20there was irish identity there was
  886. 26:22italian identity there was czech
  887. 26:23identity there was jewish identity there
  888. 26:24was russian identity and if you go to
  889. 26:26europe today trying to say to an italian
  890. 26:28you have white identity they'd be like
  891. 26:30what i'm italian what are you talking
  892. 26:31about
  893. 26:32like brits and italians they have
  894. 26:34different cultural heritages because
  895. 26:36culture is not the same as ethnicity the
  896. 26:38attempt to cudgel everybody who is not a
  897. 26:40person of color into the white
  898. 26:41identitarian category is an awkward one
  899. 26:44and is in fact a social construction
  900. 26:47but for these folks like nicole ellis of
  901. 26:48the washington post it is important that
  902. 26:50you understand your white identity what
  903. 26:51they mean is they're going to cuddle you
  904. 26:53into an identity where you are
  905. 26:54responsible for all the evils of the
  906. 26:56world you're responsible for the george
  907. 26:58floyd situation here first of all when
  908. 27:00res menachem at the very beginning
  909. 27:02an author when he says at the beginning
  910. 27:05there are thousands of george floyds you
  911. 27:06never saw
  912. 27:07well i mean under what time context are
  913. 27:09we talking are we talking like the last
  914. 27:11several hundred years because then
  915. 27:13that's true are you talking about like
  916. 27:15the last several years the answer of
  917. 27:16course is no the number of black unarmed
  918. 27:18men killed in the united states by cops
  919. 27:20is under 20 every single year
  920. 27:23so no it's not thousands of people or
  921. 27:25being treated the way that george floyd
  922. 27:27was treated
  923. 27:28okay but again the idea is that pointing
  924. 27:31out that
  925. 27:32incident which again was not even like
  926. 27:34there's still no evidence it's amazing
  927. 27:35how this has been promulgated there's
  928. 27:37still no evidence that was a racist
  929. 27:38incident it was not alleged in court it
  930. 27:40was not alleged by the federal
  931. 27:41government it's been alleged by no one
  932. 27:42and yet that has become the racial
  933. 27:44incident in america despite the fact
  934. 27:46that there's no racial animus thought
  935. 27:47why because it's structural you've heard
  936. 27:49that word structural okay the idea again
  937. 27:51is that
  938. 27:53in reality derek chauvin isn't really
  939. 27:55according to crt even to blame for derek
  940. 27:56shelvin's activity derek shovin is just
  941. 27:58an agent of the structure and the
  942. 28:00structure is to blame
  943. 28:02and you are both to blame for upholding
  944. 28:04the structure and you are a symptom of
  945. 28:06that structure because you are created
  946. 28:07by that structure okay let's continue at
  947. 28:09this washington post video
  948. 28:11[Music]
  949. 28:14it says why is white racial identity
  950. 28:16important
  951. 28:17i am originally from a smaller
  952. 28:21town in oklahoma whiteness was the
  953. 28:24defaults and whiteness was the comfort
  954. 28:26part of the structure of racism in the
  955. 28:29way that it's maintained is to keep us
  956. 28:31from
  957. 28:32recognizing that racism is a part of our
  958. 28:35daily lives and so it's a longer term
  959. 28:38process of looking at your understanding
  960. 28:41of yourself in the world both
  961. 28:43historically but also contextually the
  962. 28:46family you live in the community you
  963. 28:48live in and what role whiteness plays in
  964. 28:51that
  965. 28:52so
  966. 28:54here you have a woman named kelsey aries
  967. 28:56originally saying that whiteness was her
  968. 28:57default and her comfort i don't know
  969. 29:00what that's supposed to mean other than
  970. 29:01this is her confessing her sins in mao's
  971. 29:03style right she didn't know she was
  972. 29:05racist but it was her default and her
  973. 29:06comfort she didn't even know she didn't
  974. 29:08even know what kind of sin she was
  975. 29:09committing but she was by dint of just
  976. 29:11where she lived and then you have
  977. 29:12rebecca tobarak who is one of these
  978. 29:14authors who was speaking before saying
  979. 29:16that you know finding your whiteness and
  980. 29:18discovering your own sin is a lifelong
  981. 29:20process that sounds very much again like
  982. 29:21cultic language it sounds like a cult
  983. 29:24sounds like you have to spend your
  984. 29:25entire life cleansing yourself of
  985. 29:27whatever the master says is your sin you
  986. 29:30have to spend your entire it's a
  987. 29:31lifelong process of discovering your own
  988. 29:33whiteness and looking within
  989. 29:37or and what exactly are you hunting for
  990. 29:39the answer is you're hunting for
  991. 29:41whatever i tell you to hunt for
  992. 29:42you're hunting for your own unconscious
  993. 29:45racial bias that has infused the core of
  994. 29:47your very being
  995. 29:50and the only and if you can't uncover it
  996. 29:51it's because you're racist obviously
  997. 29:53right this is the perfect kafka trap if
  998. 29:54you say well i looked inside myself and
  999. 29:56i really don't think i'm racist ah it's
1000. 29:58because you are so infused with your own
1001. 29:59racism you can't even recognize your own
  1002. 30:00racism
1003. 30:02pretty incredible stuff this nonsense
  1004. 30:03continues
1005. 30:05the more you kind of dive into that the
  1006. 30:06more i'm really realizing how deeply
1007. 30:09rooted racism is and to like my everyday
  1008. 30:11thought process
1009. 30:13no matter how much you work at that
1010. 30:14there's still even almost more work to
  1011. 30:17be done
  1012. 30:18a living embodied anti-racist culture
1013. 30:21does not exist among white people white
1014. 30:23people got to start getting together
  1015. 30:25specifically around race wide
1016. 30:27accountability groups are really helpful
1017. 30:29in terms of having a place to process
  1018. 30:31having
1019. 30:32a group of people whose responsibility
1020. 30:35it is to call me on things or to
  1021. 30:37challenge me we're unpacking
1022. 30:40wrong things that we've been taught in
  1023. 30:42history class i realized that i needed
1024. 30:46to go back and unpack and reorganize
1025. 30:50everything that i had learned because it
1026. 30:53was complete okay stop for a second okay
1027. 30:55so the so washington post recognizes and
1028. 30:58they they suggest you should create an
1029. 30:59accountability group this is direct
  1030. 31:01malice crap
1031. 31:03direct mouse so over the weekend i was
1032. 31:05reading a book about the current what
1033. 31:08they call third revolution in china the
  1034. 31:10xi jinping revolution and what they've
1035. 31:12done in many of their companies is they
1036. 31:14have these sort of political groups
  1037. 31:16where you're supposed to get together
1038. 31:17and this has been true for decades
1039. 31:19really since the inception of maoism but
1040. 31:20now it's sort of moved into the
  1041. 31:21corporate sphere over there
1042. 31:23you're supposed to have these
1043. 31:24accountability groups where you get
1044. 31:25together and you confess your sins
1045. 31:26against marxism right they would
1046. 31:28actually have maoist struggle sessions
  1047. 31:29during
1048. 31:30time now where you would do this you'd
1049. 31:31get up and you'd confess your sins and
1050. 31:33you were forced to do this and this has
1051. 31:34been true in every communist country
1052. 31:36right paul pott used to have these
1053. 31:37things we'd get up and you confess your
  1054. 31:38sins against marxism
1055. 31:40and then you would be punished for it
1056. 31:42and then you would sit back down
1057. 31:43so they are now suggesting that in
1058. 31:45exactly the same fashion we have quote
1059. 31:47unquote accountability groups if white
1060. 31:49people get together and call each other
1061. 31:50out on their racism and then presumably
1062. 31:52forgive each other and the more you
1063. 31:54confess the more praiseworthy you are
1064. 31:56the more you say i i this is why you see
1065. 31:59rebecca toperak in this video saying
1066. 32:01things like well you know you almost
  1067. 32:04never finished the work it's almost
1068. 32:05impossible to finish the work you can
1069. 32:06never get to the end of the work or
  1070. 32:07kelsey arias saying i've never even
1071. 32:09discovered the the depth of my own
1072. 32:11racism i was never able to come up with
1073. 32:13the depth of my own racism
1074. 32:14or at least kennedy saying i have to go
1075. 32:16back this is where it starts to get
1076. 32:17institutional we have to go back and we
1077. 32:19have to see the way we teach history and
  1078. 32:20we have to re-teach ourselves history
  1079. 32:22this way
1080. 32:24and here you start to see the creep over
1081. 32:25from he's sort of personal brow beating
  1082. 32:28and the self-scourging the 12th century
  1083. 32:31style self-scourging
  1084. 32:33and and maoist-style struggle sessions
1085. 32:35to now we have to teach how we how we
1086. 32:37teach it we have to change how we teach
1087. 32:38this stuff in schools to children okay
  1088. 32:40let's continue completely through a
  1089. 32:43white lens
1090. 32:44most of us in doing this work have
  1091. 32:46experienced this where there's a period
  1092. 32:49of deep shame
1093. 32:51for being white and for acknowledging
1094. 32:53the harm that our ancestors have caused
  1095. 32:56and that's a very legitimate piece of
  1096. 32:58this work
  1097. 32:59and
1098. 33:00we can't ask people of color to hold our
1099. 33:03hands through the shame piece that needs
1100. 33:05to happen with other white people when
1101. 33:07you do that for one two three four five
  1102. 33:11years right
1103. 33:12you end up with actually a community
1104. 33:15that is aligned with each other in
1105. 33:17theory that sounds like a good idea but
1106. 33:21i guess i'm curious to hear like what
1107. 33:22are some of the pitfalls or risks that
1108. 33:24you run if that's the only step you take
1109. 33:26the biggest answer is white people don't
  1110. 33:28really understand racism
1111. 33:32and so if i'm relying on other white
1112. 33:34people to teach me about racism that can
1113. 33:36only go so far i only best understand
1114. 33:39racism by talking to people who are
1115. 33:41directly impacted by racism from
1116. 33:44different perspectives so in addition to
1117. 33:47having white accountability groups and
  1118. 33:49white accountability buddies it's also
1119. 33:51really important to have sustained and
1120. 33:53meaningful relationships with people of
  1121. 33:56color
1122. 33:57okay so this is rebecca toperak and all
1123. 33:59the rest of these people suggesting they
  1124. 34:01can't even understand racism right it's
1125. 34:02so deeply rooted in them they feel shame
1126. 34:04they feel shame at their own whiteness
1127. 34:05so first of all if you feel shame
1128. 34:06because of your race this is racist you
1129. 34:09should not feel shame under any
  1130. 34:10circumstances because of a condition
1131. 34:12that you were born into that's insane
1132. 34:14okay it's the definition of racism truly
1133. 34:17if you feel ashamed because you were
1134. 34:18born black we would say oh my god that's
1135. 34:19terrible why would you feel ashamed for
  1136. 34:21being born black
1137. 34:22but now the idea is there's something
1138. 34:24good about feeling ashamed for being a
1139. 34:26white person why did you do something
1140. 34:28wrong normally shame attaches when you
1141. 34:30do something wrong but the idea is that
1142. 34:31by the very color of your skin you are
1143. 34:34complicit in this racist system because
1144. 34:36the system benefits you even
  1145. 34:37unconsciously and so you can't even
1146. 34:38fight racism right this goes back to the
1147. 34:40critical race theory principles that we
1148. 34:41were talking about right the critical
1149. 34:43race theory principles one of them is
  1150. 34:44that white people can't even properly
1151. 34:46understand race only black people and
1152. 34:48only hispanic people and only asian
1153. 34:50people and even there is a hierarchy
1154. 34:52there only people who are not white can
1155. 34:54properly understand racism so now the
1156. 34:56washington post says you need to find a
  1157. 34:57black friend
1158. 34:58now recognize that you are all in the
1159. 35:00same video they're saying that if you
1160. 35:02ask a black person to guide you on
1161. 35:04racism this is in and of itself racist
  1162. 35:06because you're assuming that that person
1163. 35:08has either the wherewithal or the desire
1164. 35:10to tell you about racism it's using that
1165. 35:12black person as sort of a token to lead
  1166. 35:13you
1167. 35:14but you have to find black friends
1168. 35:16because those black friends are the only
1169. 35:17ones who are capable of awakening you to
1170. 35:19your own racism and to your own
  1171. 35:21complicity in the system
1172. 35:23this is all cultic nonsense it's all
  1173. 35:26cultic behavior and it's infused
  1174. 35:27everything continue
1175. 35:29i don't have the ability to like
1176. 35:31inherently name things as upholding
  1177. 35:33white supremacy or as
1178. 35:36being racist my whiteness is going to
1179. 35:38show up at different points in my life
1180. 35:40and at different points in different
  1181. 35:41relationships
1182. 35:42but is it fair or healthy to be seeking
1183. 35:45out relationships with people just to
  1184. 35:47have a diverse network because i feel
1185. 35:49like for people of color you're kind of
1186. 35:51constantly trying to gauge whether or
1187. 35:53not it's worth it to be vulnerable or
1188. 35:55share how someone hurt you when your
  1189. 35:58white colleagues or co-workers or
  1190. 36:00friends mess up
  1191. 36:02there's a different
1192. 36:04cost for my friends of color to be in
1193. 36:06relationship with me so i think one of
  1194. 36:08the things that's really important is
1195. 36:10ongoing being a friend on an ongoing
1196. 36:13basis for lots of different things not
1197. 36:15just like thinking about racism as a
  1198. 36:18part of our friendship when there's
1199. 36:20something horrible that happens those
  1200. 36:22relationships are
1201. 36:24number one for me to
1202. 36:27be there for them as them for me it's a
1203. 36:30it's a relationship and so it should be
  1204. 36:32reciprocal but also so that i have a
1205. 36:34broader understanding of the world
  1206. 36:37everything i thought about how i existed
1207. 36:40in my white body in the world
  1208. 36:43was very wrong
  1209. 36:45and i needed this new
  1210. 36:48lens
1211. 36:49to see the world through so i think
1212. 36:51that's been a big piece of my own work
1213. 36:57incredible and nicole ellis is sitting
1214. 36:58there but so black people shouldn't be
  1215. 37:00friends with you because then they're
1216. 37:01gonna be used as tokens and well they
  1217. 37:03won't be used as tokens i mean we'll
1218. 37:04still be friends but we'll kind of use
1219. 37:06them as tokens but we're helping to
1220. 37:07re-examine our own prejudices and nicole
1221. 37:09ellis is sitting there like the judge on
1222. 37:11high trying to judge all these white
  1223. 37:12people right i mean that's that she's
1224. 37:14there to provide them the absolution
1225. 37:16okay this is racist nonsense it's being
1226. 37:18taught to your kids in school it's being
1227. 37:19pushed by the washington post on their
  1228. 37:21front page
1229. 37:22and the washington post now the left is
1230. 37:24angry that you caught them
  1231. 37:25okay because here's the reality there's
1232. 37:26push back and the pushback is incredibly
  1233. 37:28serious we're seeing a bevy of states
1234. 37:30push actions to ban the teaching of
1235. 37:31critical race theory in schools which is
1236. 37:33good okay critical race theory schools
1237. 37:35have to decide what they teach to kids
1238. 37:37they don't teach kids that two plus two
  1239. 37:38equals five because that's a waste of
  1240. 37:39time stupid counterproductive and
  1241. 37:41illogical you shouldn't be teaching kids
  1242. 37:43about racial essentialism you shouldn't
1243. 37:44be teaching kids that all the systems of
1244. 37:46power in the united states are racist
1245. 37:47you shouldn't be teaching kids that by
1246. 37:49dint of their very skin color they ought
1247. 37:50to feel shame you shouldn't teach kids
1248. 37:52false notions of american history
  1249. 37:54because that's a garbage thing to do
1250. 37:57and you're starting to see blowback on
1251. 37:58this and the left which has embraced all
1252. 38:01of this right the left loves this stuff
  1253. 38:02right joe biden's administration agrees
1254. 38:05with this washington post video
1255. 38:07i dare you to find a single member of
1256. 38:08the washing of honestly of the biden
1257. 38:10administration who would dare to say
1258. 38:12that this video is the pretentious
  1259. 38:14crappy self-defeating nonsense that it
1260. 38:16is you wouldn't find one person in the
1261. 38:17entire administration who would say that
1262. 38:18not one so the blow and the blowback is
1263. 38:20coming and the blowback is very very
1264. 38:22real and the left is very upset about it
1265. 38:24it is not a coincidence that the same
1266. 38:25day that the washington post ran this
1267. 38:28particular video the washington post
1268. 38:29also ran a very long piece being very
1269. 38:32angry that anybody including christopher
1270. 38:34ruffo who's one of the people leading
1271. 38:35the charge has been fighting back
1272. 38:36against critical race theory and this is
1273. 38:38precisely the point the left has been
1274. 38:40renormalizing america by pushing radical
1275. 38:42ideas slowly into the mainstream by
1276. 38:45being intransigent and very very loud
  1277. 38:48inside specific institutions
1278. 38:50okay they push a little bit and then
1279. 38:51they push a lot but they continue to
1280. 38:53push and they are very intransigent and
1281. 38:54they hope that by bullying you into
1282. 38:55silence and feel and making you feel
1283. 38:57shame for your own race and making you
1284. 38:59feel shame for your own systems and
1285. 39:00making you feel shame for america
1286. 39:02and they can shut you up and then take
  1287. 39:04over the institutions and what's
1288. 39:05happening right now is that that vast
  1289. 39:06middle is saying no
  1290. 39:08all it takes to quote-unquote
  1291. 39:09re-normalize and already re-normalize
1292. 39:11institutions is a bunch of people in the
  1293. 39:13middle saying absolutely not we're not
1294. 39:14doing this and this is why the left is
1295. 39:16getting pissed because a bunch of people
1296. 39:18who are here too for silent a bunch of
1297. 39:19people who are very quiet up to this
  1298. 39:21point they're now standing up and
1299. 39:22they're taking back their school boards
  1300. 39:23they're standing up and they're retaking
  1301. 39:25their legislatures they're standing up
  1302. 39:26and they're retaking congressional seats
  1303. 39:27and they're saying no and the left can't
1304. 39:29handle it because for a long time twenty
1305. 39:31percent of the country has run the other
1306. 39:32eighty percent of the country and now
1307. 39:34there's a vast swath in the middle who
1308. 39:36are saying no we're not going to do this
  1309. 39:37stuff
  1310. 39:38which is phenomenal
1311. 39:40and the first step on that is awareness
1312. 39:42of the fact that this 20 percent of
1313. 39:43people these radicals who have created
1314. 39:45this coalition or to push this nonsense
1315. 39:46have started to take over the
1316. 39:47institutions and in many cases have
1317. 39:48already have have done that you can
1318. 39:50renormalize as long as you have a core
1319. 39:52percentage on the other side of 20
1320. 39:54and the and the 60 in the middle the
  1321. 39:56unaligned side with the 20 pushback
1322. 39:59rather than the 20 radicals who are
1323. 40:00pushing this stuff in the first place
1324. 40:02that's how renormalization happens and
1325. 40:03it's already happening and it's great to
1326. 40:05watch and the left is scared out of
1327. 40:06their wits we'll get some more of this
1328. 40:08in just one second first
1329. 40:10let's talk about the fact that thieves
1330. 40:12could come after your most valuable
1331. 40:14asset okay the reality is your most
1332. 40:17valuable asset is probably your home
  1333. 40:18title that's pretty much true for
1334. 40:20everybody can people actually steal your
1335. 40:21home title the answer is yes take it
1336. 40:24from this thief who stole over 150 homes
1337. 40:25and was sentenced to 25 years in prison
1338. 40:27this right here is why you need home
  1339. 40:28title lock
1340. 40:30nobody thinks that i can take their
1341. 40:32house and borrow against the house no no
1342. 40:34i have title insurance for that no it's
1343. 40:36in my name or he would have to get some
1344. 40:38special document they would call me you
  1345. 40:41know nobody's calling you after i've
1346. 40:44stolen the title barred against it or
1347. 40:46sold the property or done whatever i've
  1348. 40:47done with it it's 60 to 90 days even
1349. 40:50figure out that that they're the victim
1350. 40:52of this crime you know by that point you
1351. 40:54start getting foreclosure notices and
1352. 40:56you realize you've got four mortgages on
1353. 40:58your house not only that you don't even
1354. 41:00own your home anymore it's not even in
  1355. 41:01your name
1356. 41:04if you've heard enough you should head
  1357. 41:04on over to hometitlelock.com register
  1358. 41:06your address see if you're already a
1359. 41:08victim enter code radio for 30 free days
1360. 41:11of protection that is code radio at home
1361. 41:13title lock dot com again that's code
1362. 41:14radio at home title lock dot com protect
1363. 41:17your most valuable asset that home title
1364. 41:19all right we'll get to more of this in
1365. 41:21just one second first if you've been
  1366. 41:22paying attention to the left's
  1367. 41:23weaponization of the dictionary you'll
1368. 41:24notice the accepted language now changes
1369. 41:26as quickly as a car changes lanes
  1370. 41:28history has demonstrated that when a
1371. 41:29political party takes control of the
1372. 41:30language things do not end well which is
1373. 41:32why michael knowles wrote speechless
1374. 41:34controlling words controlling minds in
1375. 41:35it he not only writes words in a book he
1376. 41:37also breaks down the history of

1433. 43:09fastest growing conservative podcast and
1434. 43:10radio show in the nation
  1435. 43:12[Music]
1436. 43:17all right so the push back to critical
1437. 43:18race theory has begun christopher ruffo
1438. 43:20is one of the lead researchers on that
1439. 43:22particular issue he now works over at
1440. 43:24the manhattan institute and uh and he
1441. 43:26has a book out coming out pretty soon
1442. 43:28with uh with harper which uh full
1443. 43:30disclosure is also my publisher and he's
1444. 43:32been pushing into sort of common
  1445. 43:33parliament's critical race theory it's
1446. 43:35been used as the term that was used
  1447. 43:37before critical race theory was woke-ism
1448. 43:38critical race theory is more specific
1449. 43:40because it actually goes to the
1450. 43:41ideological roots of all of this well
1451. 43:43those the the root of the of the
  1452. 43:45pushback has now
1453. 43:47created fruit and you're seeing it all
1454. 43:49over right so you're seeing videos like
1455. 43:51here's one that went viral of a father
1456. 43:53and daughter a black father and daughter
1457. 43:54pushing back against critical race
1458. 43:55theory it was an excellent video and the
  1459. 43:57reason
1460. 43:58it is so telling is because because
1461. 44:00critical race theory suggests that all
1462. 44:01the systems of america are deeply racist
  1463. 44:03and inherently
1464. 44:05directed at promoting the subservience
1465. 44:07of black americans particularly it means
  1466. 44:09that you're basically saying black
1467. 44:10people they have no agency they have no
1468. 44:12agency in america in the freest country
1469. 44:13in the history of the world with the
1470. 44:15richest black families on planet earth
  1471. 44:17on average
1472. 44:18they have no agency whatsoever and so
1473. 44:20here is a young black man named corey
  1474. 44:22yeshua and his six-year-old daughter
1475. 44:23royalty pushing back on critical race
1476. 44:26theory and saying this is nonsense and
1477. 44:27it hurts black people which it
1478. 44:29absolutely does depriving people of
1479. 44:30agency is the worst single thing you can
1480. 44:32do to anyone in life it is the worst
1481. 44:34thing when you tell people they have no
1482. 44:36agency in their own life you cannot do
1483. 44:37anything worse to a child than that
  1484. 44:39truly
1485. 44:40and when you do when you create actions
1486. 44:42that give them no agency obviously that
1487. 44:44is an extension of that very idea
1488. 44:46anyway here was a corey issue this went
  1489. 44:48completely viral of course
1490. 44:50daddy teaches you can be anything in
1491. 44:53this world that you want to be right
1492. 44:55don't daddy teach you that yeah and it
1493. 44:57doesn't matter if you're black or white
  1494. 44:59or any color it doesn't matter if you're
  1495. 45:01black white brown yellow
1496. 45:04right black and how we treat people is
1497. 45:07based on who they are and not what color
1498. 45:09they are and if they're nice and smart
1499. 45:12see this is how this is how children
1500. 45:14think right here critical race theory
1501. 45:16wants to end that not with my children
1502. 45:19it's not going to happen
1503. 45:22good for him right so this went viral
1504. 45:24there's an illinois dad who got up
  1505. 45:25recently at a school board hearing
1506. 45:26pushing against critical race theory
  1507. 45:28again black guy
1508. 45:29and he said this is this is nonsense he
1509. 45:31said color was not discussed in my home
  1510. 45:33at all
1511. 45:36the only race it is the human race i
1512. 45:38don't i never raised my sons to see
1513. 45:40anybody of color color was never even
1514. 45:41discussed in my house at all all we know
1515. 45:44is that as much as children grow they
1516. 45:46just see other kids and they'll just
1517. 45:48immediately start playing there is no a
1518. 45:49child see them like why is this skin
1519. 45:51coming like that in mind that we never
1520. 45:52discuss that when it all comes down to
1521. 45:54it people are just people my sons never
1522. 45:56had to talk about white people all they
1523. 45:59know is that they were people they were
1524. 46:00their friends they played with them they
1525. 46:02never once came home and said dad my
1526. 46:03white friend across the street that they
  1527. 46:05just said my friends
1528. 46:08okay and of course this is exactly right
1529. 46:10the pushback is happening even the
1530. 46:12mainstream media the reason that they
1531. 46:13are starting to get so worried about
1532. 46:14this and to lie about it is because they
  1533. 46:16are deeply deeply worried
1534. 46:18that the right is gonna be able to
1535. 46:20mobilize on this because people in the
1536. 46:21middle right that unmotivated 60 in the
1537. 46:23middle are looking at the left and
  1538. 46:25saying what you're preaching right now
1539. 46:26is cultic crazy garbage that tears away
1540. 46:28every system of freedom in the united
  1541. 46:30states here's a pbs reporter fully
1542. 46:32acknowledging on national tv on sunday
1543. 46:33the critical race theory is mobilizing
1544. 46:35people as well it should
1545. 46:37specific to this idea of critical race
1546. 46:39they have to tell you to spend some time
1547. 46:40reporting on this county in virginia
1548. 46:41about an hour outside of washington and
1549. 46:43and to your point this is something that
1550. 46:45is mobilizing people and resonating very
1551. 46:48deeply it was about a hundred degree day
1552. 46:50dozens and dozens and dozens of parents
1553. 46:53mostly white in this largely affluent
1554. 46:55county showed up to a school board
1555. 46:57meeting for many of the very first
  1556. 46:58school board meeting they'd ever
1557. 46:59attended specifically because of this
  1558. 47:01one issue
1559. 47:03okay as well they should the pushback
1560. 47:05has begun again if you want to
1561. 47:06re-normalize the institutions if you
1562. 47:07want to make them normal again and what
1563. 47:09you're going to have to do is stand up
1564. 47:11and say no and people in the middle have
1565. 47:13to be aware they are aware now they're
1566. 47:14waking up to it and they are fighting
1567. 47:16back and this scares the living hell out
1568. 47:18of the left because this is the first
1569. 47:19institutional pushback that we have seen
1570. 47:21in america for quite some time against a
  1571. 47:23systemic motivated left
1572. 47:25and it's great the first thing you got
1573. 47:27to do is do what rufo has done and
1574. 47:29others we've done it on the show expose
1575. 47:30critical race theory for what it is
1576. 47:32number two tell people they have to form
1577. 47:33coalitions with people who are in the
1578. 47:35middle and that those coalitions have to
1579. 47:37be mobilized against this very core
1580. 47:39hardened group of people who are pushing
1581. 47:41a radical ideology and the institutions
1582. 47:43can in fact be taken back i talk about
1583. 47:44this in my new book the authoritarian
  1584. 47:46moment at length because it's really
  1585. 47:48really important
1586. 47:49okay so meanwhile the media is pushing
1587. 47:51back on all of this right and they're
1588. 47:52telling you lies about all of this the
  1589. 47:54media have decided
1590. 47:56that they are going to simply lie about
1591. 47:58what critical race theory is so now
  1592. 47:59because there's a giant pushback because
1593. 48:01americans are pushing back against
1594. 48:02critical race theory because finally for
1595. 48:04the first time in a very long time you
1596. 48:05have a large swath of americans looking
  1597. 48:07at a movement from the left that's now
1598. 48:08been promoted across the military across
1599. 48:10your schools across your your
1600. 48:12universities and across your media and
1601. 48:13in sports and in every area of your life
1602. 48:15because we have noticed it the media has
1603. 48:18come up with two areas of pushback
1604. 48:19because again they are activists
1605. 48:20critical race theory as the founders say
1606. 48:23of critical race theory is not merely an
1607. 48:24idea an ideology or philosophy it is in
1608. 48:27fact about activism quote critical race
1609. 48:30theory contains an activist dimension it
1610. 48:32not only tries to understand our social
1611. 48:33situation but to change it
1612. 48:35richard delgado gene stefan critical
1613. 48:37race theory introduction right this is
1614. 48:38their goal is to change things and many
  1615. 48:40in the media have
1616. 48:42have drunk from the well
  1617. 48:43they've imbibed they're infused with the
1618. 48:45spirit of critical race theory so
1619. 48:47they've come back with two angles of
1620. 48:48pushback angle of pushback against the
  1621. 48:50pushback number one
1622. 48:52is actually actually you just don't know
1623. 48:56what critical race theory is and you've
1624. 48:58seen this over and over so you saw mark
1625. 49:00lamont hill who is a radical idiot
1626. 49:03he had on james lindsay and he started
1627. 49:05explaining to him well you know let me
1628. 49:06let me explain how this really isn't
  1629. 49:07about gromshi and you haven't read
1630. 49:08enough gramsci now let me explain how
1631. 49:09it's really not about delgado or stefan
  1632. 49:11purely it's about various other marxist
1633. 49:14thinkers and really has nothing to do
  1634. 49:15with marxism even though everybody i'm
  1635. 49:16quoting is a marxist
  1636. 49:18and everybody's like wow that's he he
1637. 49:20knows critical okay i just read you the
1638. 49:22tenets of critical race theory now you
1639. 49:23know the tenets of critical race theory
1640. 49:25they they in their inception were not
  1641. 49:26vague they've been made deliberately
  1642. 49:28vague that
1643. 49:29who are criticized can then say actually
  1644. 49:31you don't know even what you're talking
  1645. 49:33about actually you've never read any
1646. 49:35critical race theory actually you are
1647. 49:38just saying something that is okay so
1648. 49:40the way this is broadened out in the
1649. 49:41public view with regard to the media and
1650. 49:43you have members of the media saying
1651. 49:45actually critical race theory is just us
  1652. 49:47teaching accurate history
1653. 49:49accurate history is just critical race
1654. 49:50theory okay the answer is no it's not
1655. 49:53because critical race theory again
1656. 49:54assumes that whiteness is pervasive
1657. 49:56everywhere that white supremacy is
1658. 49:58pervasive in every institution and that
1659. 50:00institutions and principles of power
  1660. 50:02were created in order to re-establish
  1661. 50:04and re-enshrine white supremacy okay
1662. 50:06that's what critical race theory says
  1663. 50:07it's in its f it's founding tenets okay
1664. 50:10but what you get is from the media is if
1665. 50:11you push back against this you get the
1666. 50:13coverage from the washington post okay
1667. 50:14here's how the washington post covers
1668. 50:16the pushback against critical race
1669. 50:18theory quote critical race theory holds
1670. 50:20that racism is systemic in the united
  1671. 50:21states not just a collection of
1672. 50:22individual prejudices an idea that feels
1673. 50:24obvious to some and offensive to others
1674. 50:27rufus alleged that efforts to inject
1675. 50:29awareness of systemic racism and white
1676. 50:30privilege which grew more popular
1677. 50:31following the murder of george floyd by
1678. 50:33police posed to grave threats to the
  1679. 50:34nation
1680. 50:36it's the latest cultural wedge issue
1681. 50:37playing out largely but not exclusively
1682. 50:39in debate over schools at its core it
1683. 50:41pits progressives who believe white
1684. 50:43people should be pushed to confront
1685. 50:44systemic racism and white privilege in
1686. 50:45america against conservatives who see
1687. 50:47these initiatives as painting all white
  1688. 50:49people as racist
1689. 50:50again the way that the washington post
1690. 50:52is boiling this down is that if you
1691. 50:53believe that there is racism in america
1692. 50:57then this means that you are a critical
  1693. 50:58race theorist
1694. 51:00right and and that if you don't believe
1695. 51:01that if you believe that there is no
  1696. 51:02racism in america you're conservative
1697. 51:03that of course is a great simplification
1698. 51:06okay this is but this is what cnn's
1699. 51:08bakari seller says if you're angry at
  1700. 51:09critical race theory it's just because
  1701. 51:11you don't like regular history you don't
1702. 51:12want to be taught regular history here
1703. 51:13goes with anderson cooper i think that
1704. 51:15critical race theory can go by another
  1705. 51:17name uh america's history
  1706. 51:20it's amazing that we're having this
  1707. 51:21discussion where we're celebrating
  1708. 51:23juneteenth and now individuals don't
1709. 51:25want to teach us what led us up to
1710. 51:26juneteenth it's as if we want to keep a
1711. 51:28secret from our children that the
1712. 51:30founders of this country actually own
1713. 51:32slaves um you know at what point will we
1714. 51:34be able to teach children that what
1715. 51:35happened six years ago yesterday in
  1716. 51:38charleston south carolina was a white
1717. 51:39nationalist who walked into a church and
  1718. 51:41murdered nine people i mean that is a
  1719. 51:43part of america's history
  1720. 51:46okay i have a question
1721. 51:48you can teach all of those things to
1722. 51:49kids and in fact every single school
1723. 51:51child in america knows those things if
1724. 51:53they have been taught history at all in
1725. 51:54every state in america that there was
1726. 51:56slavery in america and that many of the
1727. 51:58founders enslaved yes we all know that
1728. 52:00because that is part of american history
1729. 52:02in fact there was a giant you may have
1730. 52:04missed it there was a giant civil war
1731. 52:05where like hundreds of thousands of
  1732. 52:06americans died
1733. 52:08over exactly this question and in fact
  1734. 52:10pretty much everybody understands that a
1735. 52:12white nationalist shot up a black church
  1736. 52:13in south carolina because we're all
  1737. 52:15alive when that happened
1738. 52:17but the basic idea here is that if you
1739. 52:19don't push the idea that every
1740. 52:20institution in america is rife with
  1741. 52:21racism and you as a white person don't
1742. 52:22properly understand racism this means
  1743. 52:24that you're just not studying regular
1744. 52:26history you get the same thing from the
  1745. 52:27washington post jonathan k part i hear
1746. 52:29he was saying the same thing people are
1747. 52:30trying to stop us from learning history
1748. 52:32so this is misdirect number one is that
1749. 52:33if you hate racial critical if you hate
  1750. 52:35critical race theory because it's
1751. 52:36garbage the real thing you're trying to
1752. 52:37do is stop people from learning history
  1753. 52:38it's a lie
1754. 52:41the people who are trying to you know
  1755. 52:44pushing back against quote-unquote
1756. 52:45critical race theory which is basically
  1757. 52:47a blanket way of
1758. 52:49keeping us from recognizing talking
1759. 52:52about and teaching the fullness of our
  1760. 52:55history
  1761. 52:56what they're doing is they're denying
  1762. 52:58the country it's full it's full
  1763. 53:00retelling the united states is a is a
1764. 53:03great nation and even though people are
1765. 53:05trying to keep us from learning our all
1766. 53:08of our history ms oppo lee
1767. 53:10showed that it is possible to do things
1768. 53:14to make it possible so that the
1769. 53:16generations coming and the generations
1770. 53:19unborn get to know their entire history
1771. 53:22warts and all okay this is misdirect
1772. 53:24number one is the critical race theory
1773. 53:25is just history no it's not the people
1774. 53:27who literally the people who wrote
1775. 53:29critical race theory say it's not just
1776. 53:31that right they say that brown versus
1777. 53:32board of education for example is a
1778. 53:34racist decision designed to uphold white
  1779. 53:36supremacy
  1780. 53:37okay that's what critical race theorist
1781. 53:38derek bell says and that's not teaching
  1782. 53:40history that's teaching garbage okay so
1783. 53:42that's misdirect number one is that if
1784. 53:43you don't like critical race theory the
1785. 53:44push back to the pushback you don't like
  1786. 53:46critical race theories because you don't
  1787. 53:46want to study history then there's
1788. 53:48pushback number two pushback number two
  1789. 53:50is that critical race theory doesn't
1790. 53:52exist poof it's in your imagination and
1791. 53:54if you've noticed that all the theories
1792. 53:56of critical race theory have been
  1793. 53:57entered into education and if you've
1794. 53:59noticed that there are educational
1795. 54:00departments that explicitly say critical
1796. 54:03race theory is taught if you notice that
  1797. 54:05they're they're actual military
1798. 54:07departments that talk openly about
  1799. 54:08critical race theory if you've noticed
1800. 54:09that robin deangelo is getting hired by
1801. 54:11your corporation or ibm x candy is being
1802. 54:13pushed by your corporation or that on
1803. 54:15your recommended book list from your
1804. 54:16toothbrush company is ibrmx candy if
1805. 54:18you've noticed any of this it's because
  1806. 54:20you're crazy
1807. 54:22it's all in your imagination so chuck
1808. 54:25todd again this is you cannot trust your
1809. 54:27media because they lie to you because
1810. 54:28they are part of this institutional push
  1811. 54:30here is
1812. 54:31chuck todd from msnbc saying critical
1813. 54:33race theory this is all creation it's
  1814. 54:35just a creation
  1815. 54:37let's take this uh this so-called
1816. 54:40controversy over critical race theory
  1817. 54:41and i say so-called controversy because
  1818. 54:44it's sort of
  1819. 54:45it's a creation that keeps people
1820. 54:47watching or keeps people clicking and
1821. 54:49suddenly you know yada yada school board
1822. 54:52meetings are getting disrupted right and
1823. 54:54you're just sort of like
1824. 54:55wait a minute are you covering the news
1825. 54:57that people need to know
  1826. 55:00yes we are you're not you're downplaying
1827. 55:03it basically pretending that none of
  1828. 55:04this exists
1829. 55:06of course it exists it exists in schools
1830. 55:08we have private schools teaching we have
1831. 55:09public schools teaching it and your job
1832. 55:11as the media is to expose that and you
1833. 55:13say well that's not newsworthy you know
1834. 55:14it's newsworthy whatever donald trump
  1835. 55:15ate and crapped out today that's
  1836. 55:17newsworthy what's truly newsworthy is a
1837. 55:19theory we'll go for four years on donald
1838. 55:20trump as a russian cat spa but we won't
1839. 55:22spend 30 seconds on most school boards
1840. 55:24in major metropolitan areas of the
1841. 55:26united states have taken up the rubric
  1842. 55:27of anti-racism which is really just a
1843. 55:29renaming of critical race theory that we
1844. 55:31won't pay any attention to
1845. 55:33okay chris hayes does the same thing on
1846. 55:34msnbc he tries to blame the right for
1847. 55:36even reacting to critical race theory in
  1848. 55:38the first place
1849. 55:39he had a chiron the other day on msnbc
1850. 55:41that is so beyond crazy it's like he
1851. 55:42said that the right is fixated on race
1852. 55:44we're fixated on race that's all you
1853. 55:46guys care about it's literally all you
1854. 55:48guys talk about like 24 hours a day and
1855. 55:51when we notice and we push back then
  1856. 55:52it's oh i can't believe they noticed i
  1857. 55:54mean like really
1858. 55:55look at these people obsessed with the
  1859. 55:56race here's chris hayes doing this
  1860. 55:57routine
1861. 55:58critical race theory uh as a sort of
1862. 56:00technical term is basically a set of
1863. 56:02analytic tools that academics in some
1864. 56:04fields use starting in law for studying
1865. 56:07systematic racism in our society the
1866. 56:09right has rendered the term meaningless
1867. 56:11through over deployment making it into a
  1868. 56:13culture war rallying cry
1869. 56:15since february month over month the
1870. 56:16mentions of the term have more than
  1871. 56:18doubled
  1872. 56:20entire right-wing media machinery has
  1873. 56:22become obsessed whipping up a moral
1874. 56:24panic almost entirely among white people
1875. 56:26that their children are being taught
  1876. 56:28toxic truth is about america's long
1877. 56:30history of racial oppression hierarchy
1878. 56:34okay it's amazing right oh my god
1879. 56:35they're mentioning critical race theory
  1880. 56:37yes we noticed
1881. 56:38you mentioned it and we noticed so the
1882. 56:40gas lighting is on two levels one is
  1883. 56:41it's just history no it's not it's an
1884. 56:43actual theory that was meant to be an
1885. 56:45activist theory according to his
1886. 56:46founders second the lie is that it
1887. 56:49doesn't exist it absolutely does exist
1888. 56:51and it has a cost and the cost is that
1889. 56:54we are not allowed anymore according
1890. 56:56critical race theory to call out
1891. 56:57problems as we see them in the united
1892. 56:59states whether they are problems of
1893. 57:00actual racism or while they are problems
1894. 57:02that are not due to racism but result in
1895. 57:04unequal outcome because it turns out
1896. 57:06that if you want to prevent unequal
1897. 57:07outcome if you would like more equal
1898. 57:08outcome people have to act differently
1899. 57:10but if you notice that people have to
1900. 57:11act differently for example you say that
  1901. 57:13crime should be policed
1902. 57:15right you should actually spend time
1903. 57:16policing crime rather than suggesting
1904. 57:17that the cops are racist this is because
1905. 57:19you have not imbibed from the well of
1906. 57:21critical race theory you have not
1907. 57:22recognized your own white supremacy
1908. 57:24you've not recognized that the police
1909. 57:25are in fact a tool of white supremacy in
1910. 57:27the united states and the costs of this
1911. 57:29are largely borne by black americans
1912. 57:32not entirely but largely born by black
  1913. 57:34americans
1914. 57:35yeah the same people who are pushing
1915. 57:36critical race there are pushing defund
1916. 57:37the police because they believe that the
1917. 57:38police are in the words of nicole hannah
1918. 57:40jones basically the heirs to the slave
  1919. 57:42catchers
1920. 57:43and so is it any wonder that you see
1921. 57:44kids being caught in crossfire in the
  1922. 57:46bronx
1923. 57:47here we have video of kids being caught
1924. 57:49in a crossfire in the middle of new york
  1925. 57:51city
  1926. 57:52okay this wouldn't have happened even 10
1927. 57:53years ago in new york city when you
1928. 57:55drink deep from critical race theory
1929. 57:57what you end up is with is more
  1930. 57:58suffering more inequality
  1931. 58:01more cruelty
  1932. 58:02more violence
1933. 58:04and apparently more happy members of the
  1934. 58:06media

  1936. 58:09should begin and uh frankly i'm i'm
