How to Crochet a Stripy Hat *NO MAGIC CIRCLE* | For Absolute Beginners — Transcript

- 0:00Hello and welcome back to Crochet with
- 0:01Claudia. Today I'm going to be teaching
- 0:03you how to make these stripey crochet
- 0:05hats. You can use whatever color
- 0:07combination you'd like. This is made
- 0:08using the double crochet stitch, which I
- 0:10went through thoroughly in my last video
- 0:12of how to crochet for beginners the
- 0:14double crochet stitch. So, if you don't
- 0:16know how to do that stitch, make sure to
- 0:18watch that video. But I absolutely love
- 0:20these hats. I think they look so cool
- 0:22and they're really easy to customize to
- 0:23your own size. So, because this is for
- 0:25absolute beginners, I'm going to be
- 0:26teaching you this with no magic circle.
- 0:29I found magic circles so hard when I was
- 0:31beginning and you can't even tell this
- 0:32is made without a magic circle. It's
- 0:34such a simple pattern. So, let's get
- 0:36started. So, today I'll be using the
- 0:37Everyday Chunky yarn from Hobbycraft. I
- 0:40prefer using a bit of a chunky yarn for
- 0:42this pattern just because I think it
- 0:43looks a bit better. These are in the
- 0:44shades beige and pink and I think they
- 0:46look so good together. If you're new to
- 0:48crocheting, on the label of your yarn,
- 0:49it should tell you the recommended hook
- 0:51size to use. So, this one is 6 mm, so
- 0:53that's what I'll be using today. It also
- 0:55has wash instructions on it. And like I
- 0:56said, I'll be using a 6 millm hook
- 0:58today. And finally, you'll just need a
- 1:00pair of scissors. Let's get started. So,
- 1:01to begin, you're going to get whichever
- 1:03color you want to start with. So, I want
- 1:04to start with pink today. The color you
- 1:06start with will be whatever color this
- 1:08top stripe is here. And to make it
- 1:09simple, like I said, we're not doing a
- 1:11magic circle. So, we're actually going
- 1:12to start off with a slip knot, which is
- 1:14very simple. So, what you're going to
- 1:16want to do is loop over the short bit of
- 1:18yarn over the long bit of yarn, just
- 1:21like that. Then you're going to put two
- 1:23fingers through the loop and grab the
- 1:25long bit of yarn and pull that through.
- 1:29Just like that. And if you've done it
- 1:30right, if you pull on both ends, it
- 1:32should just come undone like that. So,
- 1:33let me show you that again. You just
- 1:35loop over the short bit of yarn over the
- 1:37long bit of yarn. Put your two fingers
- 1:39through the loop and grab the long bit
- 1:42of yarn and pull. Just like that. And
- 1:44that is a slip knot. You're then going
- 1:46to grab your crochet hook and put it
- 1:48through the loop. and we're going to
- 1:49pull on the long bit of yarn to tighten
- 1:51the loop to the hook. Just like that.
- 1:53Then we are going to want to chain four.
- 1:56So to do a chain, you want to yarn over
- 1:58your hook. So just grab the yarn with
- 2:01your hook and pull that through the loop
- 2:04that's on your hook. A chain should just
- 2:07look like a little V. So we're going to
- 2:09do that again. We grab the yarn with our
- 2:12hook. I sort of twist my hook towards me
- 2:16and then pull it through the loop on my
- 2:18hook. Just like that. That's two chains.
- 2:20Now for the third one. Yarn over,
- 2:25pull through. That's three chains.
- 2:27Fourth one. Yarn over,
- 2:30pull through. That's four chains. One,
- 2:33two, three, four. Now, because this is a
- 2:36circular pattern, we want to connect
- 2:38this to make it a circle. So we are
- 2:40going to get our hook and put it through
- 2:43that first chain here. So this little
- 2:46bit here is the slip knot. And then you
- 2:49want to count one 2 3 4.
- 2:53So the first chain you did, just go
- 2:55through that there. Should have two
- 2:57little loops on your hook. You want to
- 3:00yarn over
- 3:02and pull
- 3:04through that first loop.
- 3:07and then pull through
- 3:10that second loop. You have now just
- 3:12connected your chains to make a little
- 3:15circle. I don't know if you can see
- 3:16there's a little hole in the middle
- 3:18there. And then once you've done that
- 3:19slip stitch, which is connecting the two
- 3:21chains together, you want to chain two.
- 3:24So yarn over,
- 3:27pull through that loop. That's one
- 3:29chain.
- 3:31Yarn over, pull through that loop.
- 3:34That's two chains. Now, you're going to
- 3:36work 10 double crochets into this
- 3:38circle. To do that, you're going to want
- 3:40to yarn over your hook and then insert
- 3:44your hook in the middle of this circle.
- 3:46So, it's not in any chain in particular.
- 3:48It's just in the middle of all the
- 3:49chains. And then grab your yarn
- 3:53and pull
- 3:55back through that hole in the middle.
- 3:57Yarn over.
- 3:59Go through the first two loops on your
- 4:01hook.
- 4:04Yarn over, go through the next two loops
- 4:08on your hook. And that is one double
- 4:10crochet. For this pattern, the two
- 4:12chains that you did does not count as a
- 4:13double crochet, but bear in mind for
- 4:16some patterns it does. But for this one,
- 4:17it does not. You're just going to be
- 4:18counting the actual double crochets. So
- 4:21that's one.
- 4:23Yarn over through that circle.
- 4:28Yarn over. Pull through.
- 4:32Yarn over, pull through two.
- 4:36Yarn over, pull through two.
- 4:39And also, please feel free to slow this
- 4:41down wherever you want. And also rewind
- 4:44it as much as you want. And if you look
- 4:46from above, a double crochet will look
- 4:48like a V as well. So, there's two here.
- 4:51So, for the third one, we're just going
- 4:52to do it again. So, yarn over through
- 4:55that circle. Yarn over, pull through.
- 5:00Yarn over, pull through two.
- 5:03Yarn over, pull through two. And that's
- 5:06our third one. We're just going to
- 5:07repeat this until we get 10 double
- 5:09crochets. Yarn over, through. Yarn over,
- 5:14pull through. Yarn over, pull through
- 5:17two loops. Yarn over, pull through two
- 5:19loops.
- 5:24And the more you do this, the more you
- 5:25will see the circle that you are going
- 5:27to crochet into.
- 5:31So, we've got two more left to do. We're
- 5:33just going to yarn over, go through that
- 5:35circle,
- 5:37pull through. Yarn over, pull through
- 5:40two. Yarn over, pull through two. Got
- 5:43one more to go.
- 5:46Yarn over, through that hole. Yarn over,
- 5:48pull through. Yarn over, pull through
- 5:51two. Yarn over, pull through two. So,
- 5:54that is 10 double crochets. Now, to
- 5:56connect these into a circle, you're
- 5:58going to do another slip stitch. So,
- 6:00you'll be able to see the two chains
- 6:02that you did at the beginning of this
- 6:04row. So, you're going to insert your
- 6:06hook just between those two chains and
- 6:10your first double crochet. So, not into
- 6:12any stitch in particular, just in that
- 6:14space between them. And then you're
- 6:16going to yarn over, pull through that
- 6:19space,
- 6:20and then just go through the loop on
- 6:22your hook. And there is your first row.
- 6:25To make sure you've got the right amount
- 6:26of stitches, you can look from above and
- 6:30you can count them. So, one, two, three,
- 6:34four, five, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. So, now it's
- 6:41time to change color to the next row.
- 6:42So, to change color on your hook, what
- 6:44you want to do is get your new color for
- 6:47the next row, and you want to leave a
- 6:49good few inches, so about here, and just
- 6:51hold it to the back of your project like
- 6:53this. Then you want to yarn over the new
- 6:56color and pull through that loop on your
- 7:00hook. So it should just look like this.
- 7:02Then you want to hold
- 7:05the little tail of that next color and
- 7:07pull on the first color to tighten it.
- 7:12Just like that. And just sort of play
- 7:14with it so it tightens to your hook. But
- 7:16that's just a really simple way to
- 7:18change the color on your hook. And for
- 7:20this project, we're not going to cut off
- 7:21each color. Each row we do, we're just
- 7:23going to leave it. So eventually when
- 7:25it's done, if you turn the hat inside
- 7:27out,
- 7:29it will just look like this on the row
- 7:32where you change. And that just saves
- 7:33you from tying the colors off each row.
- 7:36But from the outside, you really can't
- 7:37tell any difference. So once you have
- 7:39your second row color on, you're going
- 7:41to want to chain two. The chain two is
- 7:43like to start the height for the next
- 7:45row. So, we're going to yarn over,
- 7:49pull through. That's one chain.
- 7:52Yarn over, pull through. That's the
- 7:55second chain. And for this next row,
- 7:57we're going to increase in every stitch.
- 7:59An increase means you add another double
- 8:01crochet into what you were already
- 8:03doing. So, because we did 10 double
- 8:06crochets on this first row, this second
- 8:08row should be 20 double crochets. So,
- 8:10the second row, we are going to be
- 8:11working two double crochets into each
- 8:13stitch. So to do this, you're going to
- 8:15yarn over,
- 8:18and we're going to go through that first
- 8:22double crochet here.
- 8:24It's the one right next to where you're
- 8:27starting.
- 8:29And it should look like a little V on
- 8:31top of your hook.
- 8:34And then you're going to yarn over, pull
- 8:36through. So you should have three little
- 8:39loops on your hook.
- 8:41Yarn over, pull through two.
- 8:45Yarn over, pull through two. So that's
- 8:48one double crochet into that stitch. And
- 8:50we are going to work another one in as
- 8:52well. So we're going to yarn over, go
- 8:55through that same stitch that we went
- 8:57through that we went through for the
- 8:59first one.
- 9:01Yarn over, pull through.
- 9:05Yarn over, pull through two.
- 9:08Yarn over, pull through two. So that is
- 9:11two double crochets in that same stitch.
- 9:14And we're going to do that for each
- 9:15stitch for this row. So we're going to
- 9:17yarn over, go into this next stitch
- 9:19here,
- 9:21yarn over, pull through,
- 9:24yarn over, pull through two,
- 9:28yarn over, pull through two. That's your
- 9:31first one in that stitch. So for the
- 9:33second one, yarn over, go through that
- 9:36same stitch here. Yarn over, pull
- 9:40through. Yarn over, pull through two.
- 9:44Yarn over, pull through two. So that's
- 9:47our first four double crochets done. And
- 9:49we're going to carry that on throughout
- 9:51the whole row.
- 9:54Like I said, please feel free to slow
- 9:56this down whenever you want so you can
- 9:58see the details and also feel free to
- 10:01rewind it as well. So, like I said, for
- 10:03this row, we're just doing two double
- 10:05crochets into each stitch.
- 10:07The reason we increase each row is to
- 10:10make the circle wider and wider. If we
- 10:12didn't increase, it would just go up
- 10:14like this. So, now I have just finished
- 10:16that second row. We are going to count
- 10:18to make sure we have 20 stitches. Like I
- 10:21said, don't include those first two
- 10:22chains. So, we've got 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
- 10:3010 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20. So, if
- 10:37you're just starting off crochet, I
- 10:39would definitely recommend counting your
- 10:41stitches every row just to make sure you
- 10:42haven't done more than you should or
- 10:44less than you should. So, now to connect
- 10:45this, we're going to do another slip
- 10:47stitch. So you're just so you're just
- 10:49going to insert your hook into the space
- 10:51between the first two chains and the
- 10:52first double crochet. Yarn over, pull
- 10:55through,
- 10:57and pull through that loop. And that is
- 10:59your second row all complete. Now time
- 11:01for the third row where we're going to
- 11:03switch back to our original color. So
- 11:04switching back is just going to be the
- 11:06same as how we did it on the first one.
- 11:08So we're going to grab the first color
- 11:10we used. And while doing this, I would
- 11:12recommend having those two balls of yarn
- 11:14on one side of each other just to make
- 11:16sure that they don't get knotted
- 11:18together. Grab that first color
- 11:21and yarn over and pull through that
- 11:24loop. And then we're going to tighten
- 11:27that second color. Just like that. And
- 11:30then tighten the first color to our
- 11:33hook. This can be tricky at first, but
- 11:34then once you've got the hang of it, it
- 11:35is really, really simple. Like I said,
- 11:37you can just keep practicing as many
- 11:38times as you want. So now for our third
- 11:40row, we are going to increase every
- 11:42other stitch. So for this second row, we
- 11:44increased every stitch. This one, we are
- 11:46going to increase every other stitch. So
- 11:48in the first stitch, we're going to
- 11:50double crochet one and then two and then
- 11:53one and then two and then one and then
- 11:55two. So to start this row off, we're
- 11:56going to chain two. So yarn over, pull
- 11:59through, yarn over, pull through. That's
- 12:02your first two chains. And then for your
- 12:04first double crochet, we're going to
- 12:06yarn over. Go through your first stitch
- 12:08here.
- 12:11Yarn over, pull through. Yarn over, pull
- 12:14through two. Yarn over, pull through
- 12:16two. So that's one double crochet in
- 12:19that first stitch. Then for this next
- 12:21one, we're going to do two double
- 12:22crochets.
- 12:27So that's one. And then we're going to
- 12:28do another one in that same stitch.
- 12:33That's two. So, in the first one, we did
- 12:36one double crochet. In the second one,
- 12:37we did two. And as you're doing this,
- 12:39it'll be really easy to see this as
- 12:41well. You'll sort of get the hang of
- 12:43what it's supposed to look like. So, the
- 12:45next one will just be one double crochet
- 12:47in this stitch.
- 12:51One. And then the next one will be two.
- 12:58And we're just going to alternate this
- 12:59for the whole row.
- 13:05Just like that. So, one double crochet,
- 13:08two double crochets in the same stitch.
- 13:11One, two, one, two. And I will meet you
- 13:16back at the end of this row. So, I have
- 13:18one stitch left, which will be a double
- 13:20one. So, I'm going to do two double
- 13:22crochets into this last stitch.
- 13:26One.
- 13:29Two.
- 13:31And that is our third row complete. To
- 13:33make sure you have done it correct, you
- 13:34can go back and just look to see if
- 13:36you've done one, two, one, two, one,
- 13:40two. Um, and just go around the whole
- 13:42circle just to make sure you haven't
- 13:44accidentally done two doubles next to
- 13:46each other or two singles next to each
- 13:47other. And then to close off this third
- 13:50row, we're going to do another slip
- 13:51stitch. So just go through this space
- 13:54next to the two chains,
- 13:56pull through your yarn, and pull that
- 13:59through that loop. And that is your
- 14:02third row complete. The amount of times
- 14:04you do the increase rows depends on how
- 14:06big your head is really. Um, so you just
- 14:09want to like hold this on top of your
- 14:11head and just figure out when you want
- 14:13to start crocheting it down. So, for
- 14:15example, for mine, I did five rows and
- 14:18then started just not increasing, which
- 14:21just makes it go straight down. So, the
- 14:23bit we're doing now is this top bit
- 14:24here, which is kind of like the
- 14:27circumference of your head. And then
- 14:28once you're happy with that, you can
- 14:30then just double crochet into each
- 14:33stitch without increasing. And then that
- 14:36will make it go down like this. So,
- 14:37yeah, for my head size, I do about five
- 14:40rows of increase and then stop
- 14:42increasing. So for our fourth row, going
- 14:44to grab our other color
- 14:48and yarn over and pull through that
- 14:50other color.
- 14:52Tighten the pink and tighten the new
- 14:55color to your hook. And we're ready for
- 14:57our fourth row. So just like the other
- 14:59rows, we're going to start off with two
- 15:01chains. Just like that. So for this row,
- 15:04we are going to be increasing every
- 15:06third stitch. So, we're going to be
- 15:08doing one double crochet in this one,
- 15:11one double crochet in this one, and then
- 15:13two double crochets. One, one, two, one,
- 15:16one, two. Just like that. So, we're
- 15:18going to yarn over,
- 15:22go through your first stitch here. Yarn
- 15:25over, pull through. Yarn over, pull
- 15:28through two. Yarn over, pull through
- 15:30two. That's your first double crochet.
- 15:32Now, onto the next stitch, we're going
- 15:34to do another double crochet. not in the
- 15:37same stitch, in the next one. So, we've
- 15:39got two single double crochets next to
- 15:41each other. That's a mouthful. And then
- 15:44for this next one, we're going to do two
- 15:46double crochets in the same stitch. So,
- 15:50yarn over.
- 15:52That's one.
- 15:58That's two. So, this is what you're
- 15:59going to be repeating this whole round.
- 16:02One double crochet, one double crochet,
- 16:04two double crochets in the same stitch.
- 16:06So, just repeat that the whole round and
- 16:08then I'll meet you back at the end. If

- 16:11with the double crochet stitch, like I
- 16:12said at the beginning of the video, I
- 16:14have got a video on my beginner's
- 16:16playlist about the basics of a double
- 16:18crochet stitch and how to do that. So,
- 16:20definitely go check that out if you're
- 16:22still struggling with it. So, I've got
- 16:23the last few double crochets to do on
- 16:24this fourth row. So, I'm going to do one
- 16:28double crochet in this stitch, one
- 16:31double crochet in the next stitch,
- 16:35and then two double crochets in this
- 16:37last stitch here. [snorts]
- 16:48And like I said on the last row, if you
- 16:50want to make sure you haven't done too
- 16:52many or too little, you can just go back
- 16:55and make sure you've done one, one, two,
- 16:59one, one, two, one, one, two, and so on.
- 17:03And then now to close this fourth row,
- 17:05we're going to do a slip stitch again.
- 17:07So just go through that space next to
- 17:09the two chains,
- 17:11pull that yarn through, and then through
- 17:14that loop. And that is your fourth row
- 17:17done. Now, depending on the size of your
- 17:19yarn, you could be on your fourth row
- 17:21and it could be this small still. It
- 17:22depends. It just depends on the size of
- 17:24your yarn. This yarn is quite chunky, so
- 17:27I don't need to do too many rows for me
- 17:29to stop increasing and for it to fit the
- 17:31circumference of my head. Um, so it
- 17:33really just depends. You just want to
- 17:34keep holding it up to the top of your
- 17:36head and seeing if you're ready to stop
- 17:37increasing. Um, so for me, I've got one
- 17:40more row to go until I stop increasing.
- 17:43I'm going to grab that next color,
- 17:46pull through,
- 17:49and tighten that last color and tighten
- 17:52this next color. Just like that. And if
- 17:54I flip this around, you can see the
- 17:57colors just sort of carry through there,
- 18:00but you really can't tell from the
- 18:01front, so it's not really a big deal. So
- 18:03for this fifth row, we're going to again
- 18:06start by doing two chains.
- 18:10And then for this row, we're going to do
- 18:12one, one, one, two. So we're going to be
- 18:15increasing every fourth stitch. So this
- 18:17second row was every stitch. This third
- 18:20row was every other stitch. This one was
- 18:23every third. And this one is every
- 18:25fourth. And if you need to carry on
- 18:26increasing after this row, it just
- 18:28carries on that pattern. So then it's
- 18:30every fifth, every sixth. um so on. But
- 18:34like I said, this is my last row of
- 18:35increasing. So, you're going to yarn
- 18:37over, go through that first stitch
- 18:39there, and we're going to be doing one
- 18:42double crochet. And then the next
- 18:44stitch, one double crochet.
- 18:47The next stitch, one double crochet,
- 18:52and the next stitch is two double
- 18:54crochets in the same stitch.
- 19:00And that will be the pattern that we
- 19:02repeat over this row. So it's one, one,
- 19:05one, two. So we're now on the final few
- 19:08stitches for this fifth row. So we're
- 19:10going to do one double crochet, one
- 19:14double crochet in this next stitch, one
- 19:16double crochet in this next stitch, and
- 19:19then in that final stitch, we're going
- 19:21to do two double crochets.
- 19:29And that is our fifth row complete. Now
- 19:32for me, that would be my final row of
- 19:34increasing. But if you still need to
- 19:36increase on the next row, you will do
- 19:38increase every fifth stitch. So you do
- 19:40double crochet, double crochet, double
- 19:43crochet, double crochet, two double
- 19:45crochets in the same stitch, and then
- 19:47carry that on. And then the next row,
- 19:49every sixth stitch, every seventh
- 19:51stitch, every eighth stitch, so on. But
- 19:53this is where my increasing ends. So for
- 19:55this row, we're going to slip stitch to
- 19:59connect it. Again, please feel free to
- 20:01slow this down if you need to or rewind.
- 20:04And then we're going to be doing the
- 20:05exact same thing and changing color like
- 20:08we have done. Tighten that color.
- 20:10Tighten that color. Because for this
- 20:12row, we're not increasing anymore. We're
- 20:13just going to do one double crochet in
- 20:16each stitch. So that's what you do when
- 20:18you don't want to increase anymore. So
- 20:20we start off with the two chains like we
- 20:22do for every row. And then we are just
- 20:24going to double crochet into each
- 20:27stitch. So this is when it gets really
- 20:29really simple. You don't need to think
- 20:31about counting your increases, anything
- 20:32like that. You're literally just double
- 20:34crocheting into each stitch. I think
- 20:37this is when it's like the most fun as
- 20:38well cuz you can just put a TV show on
- 20:40and not think about counting and just
- 20:43sort of do it in each stitch, which is
- 20:45really fun. And we're just going to
- 20:47carry on doing that for the rest of this
- 20:50row. And then you will start to see your
- 20:53hat growing downwards. And as you're
- 20:56doing each row, you can start trying it
- 20:57on. Um, and then it's just up to you
- 20:59when you stop really. So you're just
- 21:01doing one double crochet into each
- 21:03stitch. I've got one more stitch for my
- 21:07first row with no increase. And then
- 21:10once you've done that, you're going to
- 21:11slip stitch just the same way we've been
- 21:13doing the whole time. And then even
- 21:15after that first row with no increase,
- 21:17you'll be able to see that the hat is
- 21:18starting to take its shape. So obviously
- 21:20it's not going to fit yet, but as you
- 21:22start adding more and more rows gets to
- 21:24about here, you can start trying it on
- 21:26to see when you want to end it. Carry on
- 21:28alternating colors, just doing one
- 21:30double crochet into each stitch. With
- 21:32trying it on every few rows just to see
- 21:34when you want to stop. So for this next
- 21:36row, I'm going to change the color just
- 21:38like I have been doing this whole time.
- 21:40chain two and I'm just going to do one
- 21:43double crochet in each stitch. This
- 21:44pattern is really, really easy to sort
- 21:46of get the hang of. Every row, you're
- 21:49literally changing color, chaining two,
- 21:51and either doing the increases or just
- 21:53doing one double crochet in each stitch.
- 21:55So, from here, it's really simple. You
- 21:57literally just carry this on, one double
- 21:59crochet in each stitch, change color,
- 22:02chain two, and carry it on until you're
- 22:04happy with the length that it's at. So
- 22:06after doing rows and trying them on
- 22:09between rows, I am almost done. So I
- 22:12have a few more double crochets to do.
- 22:17And that will be my last one. And
- 22:19overall with this chunky yarn and a 6 mm
- 22:22hook, I did five rows of increase and
- 22:26five rows of non- increase. Obviously,
- 22:28this can vary a lot with the size of
- 22:30wool and the size of your hook. For
- 22:33example, these ones I made I made with a
- 22:35slightly smaller hook. So, I had to do a
- 22:36few more rows. I used the exact same
- 22:38yarn with both of these, but because I
- 22:39used a bigger hook with this, the rows
- 22:42are slightly bigger. But when I used a
- 22:44smaller one, they're slightly thinner.
- 22:45So, I had to do a few more rows. So, to
- 22:47tie this off, we are going to do our
- 22:49final slip stitch. So, we're going to
- 22:51put our hook through this space here.
- 22:55Pull through. And pull through. And we
- 22:57are then going to chain one. And we're
- 23:01going to get our scissors and cut off
- 23:02leaving a few inches spare. And we're
- 23:05also going to cut off the other color as
- 23:07well, leaving a few inches spare. And
- 23:09now we've done that, we can just pull
- 23:11the hook out like that. And we can
- 23:14tighten this chain like that. Now we are
- 23:17going to turn it inside out for a
- 23:19second. So this is what it looks like on
- 23:21the inside. So it's really simple to tie
- 23:23off these ends. We are literally going
- 23:26to grab the first color we used and the
- 23:28second color we used and we're going to
- 23:29knot them together. So we're just going
- 23:31to cross them. Put this through here.
- 23:34and just tie it like that. Don't do it
- 23:37too tight otherwise it will tighten your
- 23:40project like that. So just leave it
- 23:42quite loose and then you can do it
- 23:44again. And this one can be quite tight.
- 23:47Just like that. And then you can knot
- 23:49that as many times as you want to make
- 23:51it secure. I usually do it about three
- 23:53or four times. So that's feeling quite
- 23:55secure for me. So once you've knotted
- 23:57that a few times and make sure it's
- 23:58really really tight, you can then cut
- 24:02off really close to the knot.
- 24:07And it should look like that. And that
- 24:08is not going to move. We can then do the
- 24:10exact same for the middle part. So we're
- 24:13just going to tie that.
- 24:16Some of these can be quite short as
- 24:18well. So just bear that in mind as
- 24:20you're making it. We're just going to
- 24:21knot them
- 24:23a few times. and then cut them off.
- 24:31And then we can turn it back.
- 24:38And that is our hat all complete. I have
- 24:40become so obsessed with making these.
- 24:42I've made so many different color
- 24:43combinations. My favorite one I've made
- 24:45is actually probably the red and pink. I
- 24:47think it looks so funky. Thank you so
