- 0:49and I am going to select all desktop and server clients.
- 0:53Now this is really up to you.
- 0:55I should of done all servers because SQL is a server is not a desktop,
- 1:00but I’ve seen in places that you know, SQL Server, right,
- 1:06the program, the application was actually installed on a Windows
- 1:0910 or Windows 11 machine it’s crazy, but for this video I’m
- 1:13going to do all desktop and server clients we’re going to select.
- 1:17Okay, awesome.
- 1:19Click next here and we’re going to click on
- 1:23Add Rule and we’re going to select query rule.
- 1:27Select that.
- 1:27Awesome From here. Let’s give it a name.
- 1:30We’re going to locate and click on.
- 1:32Edit query statement. Awesome.
- 1:35Now from here, we’re going to click on the second tab, which is the criteria.
- 1:40Now within the criteria tab on the lower left hand side, we’re
- 1:44going to click on show query language and we’re going to get this.
- 1:49I am going to basically paste the following.
- 1:51Now your probably saying to yourself, Bernardo, you know, what are you pasting?
- 1:55This right here is basically a SQL
- 1:58query that allows us to go into the database
- 2:02to grab anything that is SQL Server centric.
- 2:06That’s what we want.
- 2:07If you want, you are able to actually click on the play button
- 2:12and it’s going to launch this and click one run
- 2:16and then boom, This is a good way to test out that statement,
- 2:19whether or not it’s going to pick up the databases
- 2:22within your network, which is great for us.
- 2:24It picked up BJ Dash SQL and that is my database server.
- 2:29Awesome. Let’s click on Close.
- 2:31Let’s click on, Okay, let’s click on, Okay.
- 2:35And that’s click on next.
- 2:37Awesome. Click next here and close it.
- 2:41Now give it some time.
- 2:42What’s going to happen is your collection should show members count
- 2:46if you have multiple SQL servers within your network, that number will go up.
- 2:51I only have one and that’s the reason why there’s one. Now.
- 2:54If you don’t want to do all SQL servers and you want to break it down
- 2:59to the version like 2016, 2019, 2022,
- 3:03don’t worry, here are all the commands.
- 3:07The one that’s highlighted.
- 3:08This one will only pick the server 2022.
- 3:13The third one would pick server 2019 and the last one will be 2017.
- 3:19Now, if you have 2016, all you got to do is just it’s the same command.
- 3:23Nothing’s changed.
- 3:23The only thing that I’m changing is the year, that’s it, and hopefully
- 3:27you guys enjoy this video and I catch you guys on the next one peace out.
