1. 0:00If you dig a hole in the ground, fill it
2. 0:01with water, then till the soil and plant
3. 0:03your crops like that, you're doing it
4. 0:04wrong. It's just not efficient. So,
5. 0:06let's build something much better. Start
6. 0:07by breaking a hole in the ground and
7. 0:08placing water in it. Then place a
8. 0:10temporary block on top, put a composter
9. 0:12on it, break the temporary block, and
10. 0:13place glass on top of the composter.
11. 0:15Now, till a line of five blocks out to
12. 0:16each side like this. Then connect all
13. 0:18those rows by tilling the soil between
14. 0:20them. It should end up looking something
15. 0:21like this. To keep the soil from drying
16. 0:23out, place a water source in each
17. 0:24corner. Now, surround the entire
18. 0:26perimeter with stone and add two more
19. 0:27layers of height so the walls are three
20. 0:29blocks tall in total. In the center of
21. 0:30the wall, break two blocks on one side,
22. 0:32then two more on another side, and place
23. 0:34a double chest. Break one block to
24. 0:35connect a hopper into the chest. And
25. 0:37over here, place four glass blocks like
26. 0:39this. Set down a rail, and on top, place
27. 0:41a hopper minecart. Then break the rail.
28. 0:43At this level, place a trapdoor, then a
29. 0:44rail, and put another hopper minecart on
30. 0:46top. Break that rail, too, and place one
31. 0:48more trapdoor above it. Here, place a
32. 0:50barrel, then leave a space for a bed.
33. 0:52Surround the barrel and the bed with
34. 0:53glass blocks like this. Inside this
35. 0:55space, place a bed like so, and break
36. 0:57one block here to replace it with a
37. 0:58bell. Light everything up torches so
38. 1:00mobs don't spawn. Now, plant a few
39. 1:02crops, but don't fill every single spot.
40. 1:04Then catch two villagers, place one in
41. 1:06the crop field, and the other inside the
42. 1:08glass enclosure with a bed. Give the one
43. 1:10inside a few crops so he plants them
44. 1:11himself. Otherwise, he won't harvest
45. 1:13crops that you planted. This farm works
46. 1:15because the villagers meet up and trade
47. 1:16food with each other, and thanks to the
48. 1:18hoppers, that food gets collected
49. 1:19automatically and goes straight into the
50. 1:20chest.
