  3. 0:05describe it do they wake up early or do
  4. 0:08they wake up late who do they spend time
  5. 0:10with what do they do for a living what
  6. 0:11are their values what makes them happy
  7. 0:14now ask yourself if your current self
  8. 0:17aligns with this version now don't worry
  9. 0:19if it doesn't because in this video we
  10. 0:21are going to talk about how you can
  11. 0:22bridge the gap between your current self
  12. 0:25and your best self now I have given this
  13. 0:27a 60-day or an 8 we timeline because
  14. 0:30that is often enough to get you in the
  15. 0:31groove to get you moving to get you
  16. 0:33started with this journey that can help
  17. 0:35you unlock your full potential level up
  18. 0:37your life and become the person that
  19. 0:39you've always wanted to become now this
  20. 0:41is going to be very different from any
  21. 0:42other video you've probably seen on this
  22. 0:44topic so I would suggest that you take
  23. 0:46notes save this video so that you can
  24. 0:48come back to it again and again and
  25. 0:50subscribe and let's get started with
  26. 0:52transforming ourselves part one of this
  27. 0:54video is understanding what our truest
  28. 0:57and bestest version looks like so we're
  29. 1:00going to start by creating a road maps
  30. 1:02of the habits and the routines that our
  31. 1:04bestest version aligns with now I'm not
  32. 1:06getting into specific habits here
  33. 1:08because these can look different for
  34. 1:10different people but to make things
  35. 1:12easier think of the top four or five
  36. 1:14qualities that your best version
  37. 1:16identifies with that you think you will
  38. 1:19have as your best test self and now we
  39. 1:22want to chalk out the habits and the
  40. 1:23routines that will help us get aligned
  41. 1:26to these identities these qualities
  42. 1:28right for example my bestest version is
  43. 1:31super fit super healthy and she loves
  44. 1:33her body for whatever it is right so now
  45. 1:36to reach these qualities to reach this
  46. 1:39state I will have to build a routine
  47. 1:41that incorporates exercise eating
  48. 1:43healthy and working on my body mind set
  49. 1:46so once you've identified the qualities
  50. 1:48the traits that you want to embody as
  51. 1:49your bestest self and you've chocked out
  52. 1:51the habits and routines that you need to
  53. 1:53figure out in order to get to those
  54. 1:55habits the next thing we're going to do
  55. 1:57is describe an ideal day in the life
  56. 1:59life of your bestest self I absolutely
  57. 2:02love this exercise because it allows you
  58. 2:04to visualize what life can look like for
  59. 2:07you when you are functioning at your
  60. 2:10highest self so what you're going to do
  61. 2:12is you are going to take 1 hour out of
  62. 2:14your Sunday or your Saturday whenever
  63. 2:16you have free time next and you are
  64. 2:18going to sit and visualize what a day in
  65. 2:21the life of your best self looks like
  66. 2:23think of everything that your best test
  67. 2:25highest version would do on their ideal
  68. 2:28day and of course this doesn't have to
  69. 2:30be an action-packed think you're not
  70. 2:32jotting down things to the minute right
  71. 2:34you know that you wake up from 6:00 a.m.
  72. 2:36to 7:00 a.m. that's not what I'm talking
  73. 2:37about you could be on a beach sipping
  74. 2:40Margarita as if that is your jam right I
  75. 2:42want you to really go deep into this
  76. 2:44exercise and think from a place of
  77. 2:46fulfillment and contentment you know
  78. 2:49imagine a day when you are at your
  79. 2:50happiest when your bestest self is at
  80. 2:52their happiest and think from that
  81. 2:55perspective because we attract what we
  82. 2:58embody once you're in that Zone just
  83. 3:00list out the activities you see yourself
  84. 3:02doing and I'm specifically saying
  85. 3:04activities because these are the
  86. 3:06activities that will eventually build up
  87. 3:08your routine for instance when I think
  88. 3:10of my bestest self I imagine her waking
  89. 3:13up early doing a visualization gratitude
  90. 3:16practice and drinking coffee in her very
  91. 3:19fancy mug and then she goes for her hot
  92. 3:22girl workout she looks absolutely Banger
  93. 3:25and she has these really nice gym
  94. 3:27fits and once she's back from her
  95. 3:30workouts she has a delicious breakfast
  96. 3:32that's prepared by an in-house Chef then
  97. 3:35she has this luxurious shower and then
  98. 3:37gets to work and so on right so I'm not
  99. 3:40getting into more details because then
  100. 3:41that will make this video exceptionally
  101. 3:43long but you get the idea now once you
  102. 3:45have that list of activities that your
  103. 3:47best self would be indulging in you are
  104. 3:50going to identify the gaps in your
  105. 3:53current lifestyle in your current way of
  106. 3:55thinking that are preventing you from
  107. 3:58getting here for for instance if I want
  108. 4:00food prepared by a private Chef I need
  109. 4:03to be able to spend more money to hire a
  110. 4:05private Chef right now then the thing
  111. 4:07that is stopping me from getting a
  112. 4:09private Chef to make all my meals is
  113. 4:12money on the other hand I don't have
  114. 4:14cute gym fits right now or so I would
  115. 4:17like to believe and the reason for this
  116. 4:19is because I'm still working on my body
  117. 4:20mindset and I'm still working on my
  118. 4:22fitness and I would really like to look
  119. 4:24like hot in those gym fits so I am
  120. 4:27waiting to get to a stage where I I'm
  121. 4:29happy with my body so that I can be
  122. 4:32happy putting on those gym fits so these
  123. 4:34are the gaps that are currently there in
  124. 4:37me achieving that aspect of my best test
  125. 4:41self now when it comes to working out
  126. 4:43for example even though I work out
  127. 4:44regularly there are days when I will
  128. 4:46relax there are days when I will not
  129. 4:47follow my diet very properly and so I
  130. 4:49know that those are the gaps that are
  131. 4:52preventing me from getting here as soon
  132. 4:54as possible now identifying these gaps
  133. 4:56is such a huge factor in our us
  134. 4:59realizing how to get to our best C
  135. 5:01because if you're not doing this and
  136. 5:03you're constantly striving for a goal
  137. 5:05but you're not figuring out what's
  138. 5:06holding you back you're never going to
  139. 5:08be able to overcome these factors that
  140. 5:10are actually holding you back now once
  141. 5:13you've identified the gaps the only
  142. 5:14thing that's left to do is get down to
  143. 5:16work to bridge those gaps and in the
  144. 5:18next section we are going to figure out
  145. 5:20how we can make this very easy to do how
  146. 5:23we can actually make the process of
  147. 5:24bridging this Gap a lot easier than it
  148. 5:27otherwise would be whenever we are
  149. 5:30trying to build a positive habit or a
  150. 5:32positive routine discipline is one part
  151. 5:35of the equation the other part is
  152. 5:37motivation and people will often tell
  153. 5:39you that you know you should not focus
  154. 5:40on motivation because it's fleeting and
  155. 5:42focus only on discip but my dear friends
  156. 5:45to get discipline to initially take that
  157. 5:47plunge also requires motivation or
  158. 5:49willpower so what I mean by building a
  159. 5:52motivation routine is building a short
  160. 5:5410minute quick practice that actually
  161. 5:57gets you pumped up to take action and
  162. 5:59it's extremely extremely useful on days
  163. 6:02when you are feeling low when you just
  164. 6:03feel like skipping on that workout or on
  165. 6:05eating that healthy meal this 10 minute
  166. 6:07routine can get you back in the groove
  167. 6:09and fired up to actually take the
  168. 6:11actions that you need to take so for me
  169. 6:13this looks like making a cup of coffee
  170. 6:15and watching a short motivational video
  171. 6:17this is one of my favorite ones every
  172. 6:19time that I'm feeling low I switch this
  173. 6:22on I play this for 5 minutes and it gets
  174. 6:24me fired right up of course it takes a
  175. 6:27little bit of time to arrive at what is
  176. 6:29the
  177. 6:30perfect combination of things that can
  178. 6:31act as a motivation for you or a
  179. 6:33motivator for you uh for a lot of people
  180. 6:36it can be just going for a walk you know
  181. 6:38I have friends who do that who whenever
  182. 6:40they're feeling low or lazy or whatever
  183. 6:42they'll go for a 10-minute walk and that
  184. 6:43fires up the endorphins and they end up
  185. 6:45feeling a lot more motivated so what I
  186. 6:47want you to do is just look back on the
  187. 6:49past couple of days and see what are the
  188. 6:52little things around you that push you
  189. 6:55to take action it could be a Post-It
  190. 6:58that you put on the wall it could be and
  191. 6:59a motivational video it could be going
  192. 7:02for a walk it could be just doing 10
  193. 7:04Jumping Jacks in your house and I want
  194. 7:06you to list out activities that you
  195. 7:08don't necessarily notice but if you look
  196. 7:11back you figure out that these actually
  197. 7:12push you to get that little extra boost
  198. 7:15of motivation fill out those activities
  199. 7:17list them down and see which of those
  200. 7:19can be done in under 10 minutes and that
  201. 7:22actually becomes your motivation routine
  202. 7:24so whenever you're feeding low whenever
  203. 7:25you're procrastinating that is the
  204. 7:27specific set of activities that you do
  205. 7:29and you get fired up to take action
  206. 7:31again and this comes in super handy
  207. 7:33whenever you are just going to bail on
  208. 7:36the promises that you made it the next
  209. 7:38step is going to be building emotional
  210. 7:40resilience a lot of times in life we are
  211. 7:43held back because of our emotions either
  212. 7:45because we are too happy either because
  213. 7:47we are too sad and we're not able to
  214. 7:49control those emotions long enough to be
  215. 7:52able to take a practical approach or to
  216. 7:55take a good decision a decision that is
  217. 7:57actually good for us emotions can quite
  218. 7:59literally overtake our whole lives and
  219. 8:02I'm not saying that feeling your
  220. 8:03emotions is a bad thing all I'm saying
  221. 8:05is that sometimes in life we need to
  222. 8:07figure out a way to overcome these
  223. 8:09emotional urges to overcome these
  224. 8:11feelings so that we can continue to do
  225. 8:13what we set out to do building emotional
  226. 8:16resilience is all about this the first
  227. 8:18thing you need to do here is create and
  228. 8:21uphold your boundaries and these are not
  229. 8:23just boundaries with other people but
  230. 8:24boundaries with yourself which means
  231. 8:26that if you make a promise to yourself
  232. 8:29you to keep it because the more promises
  233. 8:31you keep to yourself the more your self
  234. 8:33trust builds and that improves your
  235. 8:35confidence as well start out with your
  236. 8:37smaller promises ones that take the
  237. 8:40minimal effort to fulfill and uphold
  238. 8:42that boundary if you have told yourself
  239. 8:44that I am going to go for a walk every
  240. 8:47single day no matter if it's raining if
  241. 8:49it's sunny if it's cloudy if you are sad
  242. 8:51if you're angry if you're anxious this
  243. 8:53one thing this one promise that you have
  244. 8:55told yourself that you're going to
  245. 8:56fulfill every single day you do it no
  246. 8:58matter what and that is how you start to
  247. 9:02uphold your boundaries the boundaries
  248. 9:03that you have created and it has a
  249. 9:06trickle down effect once you start doing
  250. 9:08it with one thing it snowballs into
  251. 9:10doing it with other things in life once
  252. 9:11you realize how beneficial this is for
  253. 9:13you in life you will automatically want
  254. 9:16to uphold your own boundaries in
  255. 9:18whichever areas you set your boundaries
  256. 9:20the next thing and this is one of my
  257. 9:22go-tos for emotional resilience is to
  258. 9:25remember the fact that this two shall
  259. 9:28pass
  260. 9:30and I have this written in my phone I
  261. 9:33have it written on my vision board
  262. 9:36whether I'm going through something
  263. 9:37extremely happy extremely good whether
  264. 9:39I'm going through something that's
  265. 9:40extremely sad I keep reminding myself of
  266. 9:43this one
  267. 9:46thing and that gives you a sense of
  268. 9:48Detachment that doesn't come from
  269. 9:50anything else because if you know that
  270. 9:53this is going to pass you automatically
  271. 9:56hold on to it less you you experience it
  272. 9:59you enjoy it but you don't hold on to it
  273. 10:02for dear life the third thing that is
  274. 10:04very very important for building
  275. 10:05emotional resilience is finding a
  276. 10:07healthy Outlet to vent now we all feel
  277. 10:11emotions they are a very fundamental
  278. 10:13intrinsic part of Being Human which is
  279. 10:15why you need to find a healthy Outlet
  280. 10:18event it can be journaling it can be
  281. 10:20doing MMA it can be going running for me
  282. 10:22it's a mix of working out and journaling
  283. 10:25journaling coming first obviously
  284. 10:28because writing I I found helps me vent
  285. 10:30like nothing else ever does so um I
  286. 10:33already have a video on journaling if
  287. 10:34you want to check out how to write a
  288. 10:36journal for processing your emotions uh
  289. 10:39but yes you need to figure out what is a
  290. 10:40healthy outlet for you to vent it can be
  291. 10:42Sports it can be dancing it can be em
  292. 10:45EFT tapping it can be junling whatever
  293. 10:47it is because if you can't V you'll just
  294. 10:50keep building things up like a pressure
  295. 10:51cooker and just burst one day and that
  296. 10:54is not being emotionally resilient at
  297. 10:57all and finally I want you guys to to
  298. 10:59build a visualization and a grounding
  299. 11:00practice to build emotional resilience
  300. 11:03uh this is kind of like affirmations
  301. 11:05visualizations is kind of like
  302. 11:06affirmations where you sit down and you
  303. 11:08visualize yourself as a calm composed
  304. 11:11detached and Collective person I do a
  305. 11:14visualization practice every single day
  306. 11:16and it remains consistent like the
  307. 11:18visualization or the thing that I'm
  308. 11:20visualizing remains consistent for a
  309. 11:23period of time till I achieve that
  310. 11:24visualization and then I move on to the
  311. 11:26next one so if you are trying to get
  312. 11:27detached if you are trying try to gain
  313. 11:30more control over your emotions uh a
  314. 11:32good visualization practice to do is to
  315. 11:34sit down with your eyes closed for 5 to
  316. 11:3610 minutes and imagine yourself as this
  317. 11:38person who is extremely calm composed
  318. 11:41detached does not get bothered has
  319. 11:43healthy Outlets to vent you know however
  320. 11:45you want your best test self to be when
  321. 11:48it comes to emotional resilience trust
  322. 11:50me this is one of the best things that
  323. 11:52you can do for yourself now please keep
  324. 11:54in mind that building emotional
  325. 11:55resilience can take months can take
  326. 11:57years depending on how often and how
  327. 11:59well you practice these things and what
  328. 12:01your internal makeup is like you know
  329. 12:03what kind of a person you internally are
  330. 12:05that of course is a factor but if you
  331. 12:07start doing these practices it will help
  332. 12:10you become more emotionally resilient
  333. 12:11than you currently are for sure the next
  334. 12:14thing we need to do after this is
  335. 12:16getting rid of Self Doubt we are all
  336. 12:19human we don't always feel confident we
  337. 12:21have periods of self-doubt that is very
  338. 12:23intrinsic that is very natural to being
  339. 12:26a human person a human being but it's
  340. 12:29how we deal with these feelings of
  341. 12:31self-doubt that separate Achievers or
  342. 12:34successful people from those who just
  343. 12:36dream about what they want to do right
  344. 12:39and we want to be Achievers we want to
  345. 12:40be the doers and not just the dreamers
  346. 12:43there's a very popular quote from Tony
  347. 12:45Robbins in this regard and he says that
  348. 12:47I don't have to get rid of the fear I
  349. 12:49just have to learn how to dance with it
  350. 12:51and I absolutely love this because
  351. 12:53facing self-doubt is actually like
  352. 12:55learning to dance with that fear that
  353. 12:58you have about about yourself so the
  354. 13:00practices that can help you overcome
  355. 13:02self-doubt and the ones that I have used
  356. 13:04in the past as well number one is having
  357. 13:07an achievements list now you can do this
  358. 13:10by writing stuff on Post-its and putting
  359. 13:12it in a jar or you can just do this by
  360. 13:14writing your achievements down in a
  361. 13:16journal or in your notes app or wherever
  362. 13:19it is something that is very easily
  363. 13:22accessible so if you have it on your
  364. 13:23iPad like I do you have a separate
  365. 13:25notebook which is just for your
  366. 13:26achievements and every time you achieve
  367. 13:28something you go write it down in that
  368. 13:31what I also tend to do is whenever
  369. 13:33people leave nice comments and they tell
  370. 13:35me something nice about my content about
  371. 13:37my work I will screenshot it and then
  372. 13:39put it in this notebook and whenever I
  373. 13:42am feeling low whenever I have periods
  374. 13:44of self-doubt if I look at somebody else
  375. 13:46and I think oh my God how will I ever
  376. 13:48get there you know I don't know how to
  377. 13:50do XYZ I will look at that notebook and
  378. 13:54you know that is such an instant pickme
  379. 13:56up that is such an instant qu of all
  380. 13:59kinds of self-doubt and I also use this
  381. 14:02in my motivation routine when I'm
  382. 14:05feeling unmotivated because of
  383. 14:07self-doubt and it works 100% of the time
  384. 14:10the second thing here and this is super
  385. 14:11super important is to do the thing that
  386. 14:13is generating that feeling of self-doubt
  387. 14:15for instance if I look at somebody doing
  388. 14:19a course on YouTube and I doubt myself
  389. 14:22that I can't do this the only way for me
  390. 14:25to show my brain that I can do this is
  391. 14:27to actually go ahead and the thing and
  392. 14:29then I will have data points my brain
  393. 14:31will have data points I can either do
  394. 14:33that thing right or I absolutely can't
  395. 14:37if I absolutely can't I can actually
  396. 14:38begin to move on and try something else
  397. 14:41and if I can then my self-doubt is
  398. 14:43automatically quashed you know this
  399. 14:46sounds
  400. 14:47like but it's actually not because often
  401. 14:51the feelings or the things that generate
  402. 14:52self-doubt in us are very very small and
  403. 14:5590% of the times there are things that
  404. 14:57we can actually overcome and do very
  405. 15:00very easily so the more we do things
  406. 15:02that generate self-doubt the Lesser
  407. 15:04self-doubt we will have and finally you
  408. 15:07want to change the way that you talk to
  409. 15:10yourself and you talk about yourself and
  410. 15:13the way the only way that I found that
  411. 15:15is helpful to do this is via
  412. 15:17affirmations you can listen to
  413. 15:18affirmations you can write down
  414. 15:19affirmations you can speak affirmations
  415. 15:21out loud if you suffer from self-doubt
  416. 15:23there are so many specific affirmations
  417. 15:25on Pinterest on YouTube that you can
  418. 15:27actually find link a couple down below
  419. 15:30so that you have easier access go ahead
  420. 15:32write them down every single day till
  421. 15:35the way that you talk about yourself and
  422. 15:37the way that you talk to yourself
  423. 15:38changes because the way we speak about
  424. 15:40ourself is actually what defines our
  425. 15:42identity and if I constantly keep saying
  426. 15:45I'm not good at this or I can't do this
  427. 15:47oh my God you are so much better at this
  428. 15:49and I can't really do this if I keep
  429. 15:51saying things like this about myself to
  430. 15:53other people that is the narrative that
  431. 15:55I'm building up in my head and that will
  432. 15:56never let myself doubt work away the
  433. 15:59next step is to learn how to spend time
  434. 16:02by yourself most of us spend time by
  435. 16:05ourselves because we have to not because
  436. 16:08we want to and most of us are not good
  437. 16:10at it either if you learn how to spend
  438. 16:13time by yourself and enjoy your own
  439. 16:14company that is the fastest route to
  440. 16:17self-growth and this doesn't mean that
  441. 16:19you have to be a loner or not spend any
  442. 16:21time socializing at all this just means
  443. 16:23that you don't let those things become a
  444. 16:26crutch you don't let those things become
  445. 16:28something that you cannot survive
  446. 16:29without so a couple of ways that you can
  447. 16:31do this is to one get off social media
  448. 16:34and to get off your phone and to try new
  449. 16:35hobbies anything that involves not doing
  450. 16:39things on your phone another thing you
  451. 16:41can do is plan dates for yourself just
  452. 16:43like you would plan a date with a
  453. 16:44boyfriend or a girlfriend or a friend
  454. 16:46even right take out the time plan your
  455. 16:49whole activity out take yourself out to
  456. 16:51a nice restaurant maybe a nice movie and
  457. 16:53this will actually truly tell you what
  458. 16:56other things that you enjoy doing for
  459. 16:57instance whenever I go on dates by
  460. 16:59myself I absolutely love Asian food so I
  461. 17:02will go to a Ramen place for instance or
  462. 17:04I will go to a place that sells really
  463. 17:06nice pizza or whatever and then I'll eat
  464. 17:09it by myself I'll enjoy it with my own
  465. 17:11company and that is the most satisfying
  466. 17:14experience in the whole world because
  467. 17:15you don't have to order on the basis of
  468. 17:17other people's preferences you can take
  469. 17:18yourself out to wherever you want you
  470. 17:20can have whatever budget you want there
  471. 17:22are no social commitments or constraints
  472. 17:25and it is the most liberating thing in
  473. 17:27the world another thing is to take time
  474. 17:29out for self-care I already have that
  475. 17:3160-day glowup video so that can give you
  476. 17:33a lot of ideas on how to take care of
  477. 17:34yourself but taking out time for
  478. 17:36self-care essentially means that you
  479. 17:38have a couple of minutes or half an hour
  480. 17:41in the day reserved just to get yourself
  481. 17:44in that zone of relaxation where you are
  482. 17:46content with your life where content
  483. 17:48with your body and your mind and you are
  484. 17:50at peace finally you want to practice
  485. 17:53self-reflection because spending time
  486. 17:55alone without reflection is just like
  487. 17:57scrolling on on social media and being
  488. 17:59mindless about it it's only when you
  489. 18:02reflect on your actions on your thought
  490. 18:03processes on how your day goes on how
  491. 18:06you react to situations that you
  492. 18:08actually learn about yourself so it
  493. 18:10doesn't have to be elaborate it doesn't
  494. 18:12have to be something that takes up all
  495. 18:13of your time it can be something as
  496. 18:15simple as just doing a journal entry for
  497. 18:1710 minutes a day or 5 minutes a day or
  498. 18:20writing one sentence or one paragraph in
  499. 18:22a day anything that allows you to look
  500. 18:25back on your day and think about the
  501. 18:27good bad and the Ugly now we come to the
  502. 18:30final step which is practicing
  503. 18:32contentment now true contentment comes
  504. 18:34from this deep-seated belief and feeling
  505. 18:37of accepting who you are and where you
  506. 18:39are at any given moment you might be
  507. 18:43thinking I have spoken about reaching
  508. 18:46your bestest self and becoming your
  509. 18:48highest self and now suddenly I'm
  510. 18:49talking about accepting wherever you are
  511. 18:51isn't that counter intive it's actually
  512. 18:53not because whenever we are striving to
  513. 18:56get to some place right it cannot happen
  514. 18:59if we are existing in a feeling of
  515. 19:02dissatisfaction if we are unhappy a lot
  516. 19:05of times when we try and change
  517. 19:07ourselves which is constantly by the way
  518. 19:09thanks to social media and thanks to
  519. 19:10everything
  520. 19:11else we have this idea in our head that
  521. 19:14having that thing or being that person
  522. 19:16or looking like that person is what is
  523. 19:18going to make us content and happy but
  524. 19:21that is not how happiness works that is
  525. 19:23not how contentment works right
  526. 19:25contentment is as much a practice and an
  527. 19:28intentional Choice as it is a state of
  528. 19:31being which means that you actively have
  529. 19:34to choose to be content with wherever
  530. 19:36you are while striving to grow to get to
  531. 19:38the next level because when you are
  532. 19:41happy here you are attracting more of
  533. 19:43that happiness when you are content here
  534. 19:46you are attracting more of that peace of
  535. 19:48mind in your life we want to make
  536. 19:50contentment and happiness a choice
  537. 19:52because I am very very sure that your
  538. 19:54highest bestest self actually wants to
  539. 19:57be content and happy and that actually
  540. 19:58starts now by accepting your current
  541. 20:01reality and being very very aware of it
  542. 20:04so a few things that you can do to make
  543. 20:06contentment a practice a habit number
  544. 20:08one is gratitude Jing because it allows
  545. 20:11you it forces your brain it trains your
  546. 20:13brain to look for things in your current
  547. 20:15state in your current environment that
  548. 20:17bring you Joy that you are grateful for
  549. 20:20that are making your life richer Fuller
  550. 20:23right and when you think of more of
  551. 20:25those things you attract more of those
  552. 20:26things you manifest more of those
  553. 20:28feelings and that state and that's what
  554. 20:30you want to do second thing you want to
  555. 20:31do is not act on emotions now again this
  556. 20:34ties in with our emotional resilience
  557. 20:36point which is whenever you are feeling
  558. 20:39any sort of extreme emotion which
  559. 20:40whether it's happiness whether it's
  560. 20:42sadness postpone your decision making
  561. 20:44till you are in a balanced emotional
  562. 20:47state because when we are too happy for
  563. 20:50instance we tend to overestimate how
  564. 20:52things will look in the future and when
  565. 20:54we are too sad we tend to underestimate
  566. 20:56how things will look in the future and
  567. 20:57we don't want want to make decisions in
  568. 20:59that space next thing stop buying things
  569. 21:02that you don't need stop giving into
  570. 21:04consumerism buying new things is not
  571. 21:05going to make you happier it's not going
  572. 21:07to make you fulfilled it's just a
  573. 21:08substitution for that lack that we feel
  574. 21:11inside most of the times go ahead look
  575. 21:14inwards figure out why you feel this
  576. 21:16need to keep buying things continuously
  577. 21:18and then act on those next thing is to
  578. 21:21tackle emotional eating and this is such
  579. 21:23a chronic problem I am an emotional
  580. 21:24eater whenever I'm sad overwhelmed
  581. 21:26anxious whatever eating is like my go-to
  582. 21:28default thing and I crave chocolate and
  583. 21:30all those things I have learned to
  584. 21:32control that to a huge extent so
  585. 21:34whenever I'm craving this sort of food
  586. 21:37that I know is not nourishing for my
  587. 21:38body I will question myself I'll take a
  588. 21:40pause I'll question myself and ask why
  589. 21:42do I really want this am I feeling
  590. 21:44stressed out am I feeling anxious and if
  591. 21:46I know that I'm feeling stressed out is
  592. 21:48there some other way that I can deal
  593. 21:50with that stress instead of going and
  594. 21:53picking up a chocolate often times that
  595. 21:55is and I do take that action now it's
  596. 21:58been a journey but I've gotten to this
  597. 21:59point and finally you want to actively
  598. 22:01practice finding the joy in the little
  599. 22:03things you can do a weekly exercise
  600. 22:05where you sit down and you notice
  601. 22:07everything around yourself try and pick
  602. 22:09out five things around yourself in the
  603. 22:11room in the park wherever that you had
  604. 22:13not seen before this is one exercise the
  605. 22:16second exercise is to sit down and to
  606. 22:18look at the objects around you look at
  607. 22:20the things around you the people around
  608. 22:21you and ask yourself if they bring you
  609. 22:23Joy and if they do why they bring you
  610. 22:26Joy it will teach you to appreciate the
  611. 22:28little moments a little bit more and you
  612. 22:30will be a lot better off because of it
  613. 22:33now quickly I will recap everything that
  614. 22:35we have discussed today so that you have
  615. 22:37sort of a road map and you know what
  616. 22:39goes where we started by identifying the
  617. 22:42habits and the routines that we need to
  618. 22:44build to reach our highest bestest self
  619. 22:48then we described the ideal day in the
  620. 22:51life of our highest bestest self and
  621. 22:54this allowed us to figure out what are
  622. 22:56the gaps that are there in our current
  623. 22:58lifestyle in our current life that are
  624. 23:00stopping us from reaching this best test
  625. 23:03self in the next set of steps we start
  626. 23:04by building a motivation routine that
  627. 23:06pumps us up whenever we are feeling down
  628. 23:08whenever we feeling lazy or
  629. 23:09procrastinating the next thing is we are
  630. 23:11taking measures to build emotional
  631. 23:13resilience so that Emotions Don't hold
  632. 23:15us back from taking the actions that get
  633. 23:17us to where we want to go then we work
  634. 23:20on getting rid of our self-doubt taking
  635. 23:22measures so that self outb is not the
  636. 23:24thing that's holding us back from teing
  637. 23:25where we want to go after that we learn
  638. 23:27to spend time
  639. 23:28by ourselves because that is super
  640. 23:30important to figure out where it is that
  641. 23:32we really want to go and you know how we
  642. 23:34can get there finally we practice
  643. 23:35contentment in the present to attract
  644. 23:37similar things in the future so that is
  645. 23:40your road map right there you can take a
  646. 23:41screenshot you can of course come back
  647. 23:43to this video whenever you want and that
  648. 23:45was it for today's videos my lovely
  649. 23:47lovely people this was different from
  650. 23:49the usual best self videos that you'll
  651. 23:51see because they'll talk about a set of
  652. 23:52habits that you actually need to build
  653. 23:54but I didn't see anywhere people talking
  654. 23:56about how to build those habits we all
  655. 23:59know that you know we need to exercise
  656. 24:01more and eat healthy and I've spoken
  657. 24:02about those things in my videos in the
  658. 24:04past but how do you actually do those
  659. 24:07how do you tackle the things that hold
  660. 24:08you back from actually doing those
  661. 24:10things that is what we have covered in
  662. 24:12today's video I hope you found this
  663. 24:14helpful and um take care of yourselves I
  664. 24:17will see you guys very very soon with
  665. 24:19another one
  666. 24:22bye
