  1. 0:00this is exactly how I would go from
  2. 0:02working a 9 to-5 job to becoming an
  3. 0:04independent entrepreneur making a
  4. 0:06million dollars within the next year you
  5. 0:07see I went from earning $55,000 a year
  6. 0:10in a job that I hated to having a net
  7. 0:13worth of over $100 million and let me
  8. 0:15tell you I made so many mistakes but if
  9. 0:18I could go back and do it all over again
  10. 0:20this is how I would do it even faster
  11. 0:22and better so here are my 10 tips to go
  12. 0:24from being a 9 to-5 team member to
  13. 0:26thinking acting and earning like a
  14. 0:28millionaire your first step to becoming
  15. 0:30a millionaire is identifying your
  16. 0:32millionaire skill think about it what
  17. 0:34does a millionaire know that you don't
  18. 0:36know so this is what I would do I would
  19. 0:38go to Google Google is my best friend I
  20. 0:40actually have a hashtag with a sticker
  21. 0:42that a team member gave me that says
  22. 0:44Google that because I say this so
  23. 0:46often so you going to Google occupations
  24. 0:48of millionaires and you're going to come
  25. 0:49up with a list there's going to be
  26. 0:51things like engineer lawyer entrepreneur
  27. 0:54real estate agent and a whole bunch of
  28. 0:56other things where people are actually
  29. 0:58making a million dollars a year and if
  30. 0:59you put this on a grid where you listed
  31. 1:01out all the opportunities and then you
  32. 1:03listed your interest level on a scale of
  33. 1:051 to five in that career field you're
  34. 1:08going to have a better understanding of
  35. 1:10if you're interested in this thing now
  36. 1:11the next call to look at is do you
  37. 1:13already have knowledge in this area so
  38. 1:15you take all of your businesses you look
  39. 1:17at where you're interested in you look
  40. 1:18at what your skill set is so you
  41. 1:20identify which of these occupations you
  42. 1:22are going to choose to become a
  43. 1:24millionaire in so when I was deciding
  44. 1:26what path I wanted to take in order to
  45. 1:28become a millionaire what I realiz
  46. 1:29realized is I'm not great at math and I
  47. 1:32didn't want to go back to school to have
  48. 1:33to get some degree that was going to
  49. 1:35prolong the path for me to actually make
  50. 1:37the money that I wanted to make so I
  51. 1:39decided to become an entrepreneur I
  52. 1:40decided to launch a business this was
  53. 1:42the fastest and easiest path for me
  54. 1:45based on my interest and my existing
  55. 1:47level of Knowledge and Skills you have
  56. 1:48to decide what that is for you pick one
  57. 1:51that you are at least interested in and
  58. 1:53are willing to commit to figure out how
  59. 1:55do you become great millionaire great at
  60. 1:57that particular occupation so now your
  61. 1:59second step is to stop hanging out with
  62. 2:01your broke friends you will never become
  63. 2:03a millionaire if you cannot cut broke
  64. 2:05people out of your life I remember when
  65. 2:07I had this Epiphany that I was going to
  66. 2:09create this business six years ago I
  67. 2:11started telling my friends at the time
  68. 2:13about it and I thought that I was going
  69. 2:15to be met with excitement with questions
  70. 2:17with just some level of support to be
  71. 2:20honest with you and instead of any of
  72. 2:22that my friends made fun of me asked
  73. 2:25kind of condescending questions and what
  74. 2:27was more hurtful than the condescending
  75. 2:29questions was the way that they would
  76. 2:31just ignore this new thing that I was
  77. 2:33doing that I was excited about they
  78. 2:35would continue to talk about old
  79. 2:37all of the old stories things
  80. 2:39that were happening in their life that
  81. 2:41might not honestly be that interesting
  82. 2:43or that different and here I was putting
  83. 2:44all of this time into becoming this next
  84. 2:46version of myself I was learning new
  85. 2:48things I was staying up late I was
  86. 2:49meeting new people to create a new life
  87. 2:51for myself that I was so excited about
  88. 2:53and they couldn't have been any less
  89. 2:55interested your energy is finite your
  90. 2:57broke friends if they're not interested
  91. 2:59in hearing about your goals and they
  92. 3:00aren't excited about supporting you
  93. 3:02they're going to invalidate you which
  94. 3:04might actually cause you to give up in
  95. 3:06the process that's not what you're here
  96. 3:07to do you're here to actually learn the
  97. 3:09steps to make it easy on yourself and
  98. 3:11the fastest way to make this easy on you
  99. 3:13is to get rid of friends who are going
  100. 3:15to hold you back in the process now that
  101. 3:17you've removed your broke friends from
  102. 3:19your life you have to replace them with
  103. 3:22Rich teachers so think of whoever your
  104. 3:24Idol is for me this was a len a card
  105. 3:27down I wanted to be interesting enough I
  106. 3:29wanted to be valuable enough that she
  107. 3:31would want to hang out with me and what
  108. 3:32I realized is Elena would not be hanging
  109. 3:35out with Natalie in present state so
  110. 3:37what does Natalie in presence date need
  111. 3:38to start doing so that if I get the
  112. 3:41opportunity to be in Elena's presence
  113. 3:43she is interested in having a
  114. 3:45conversation with me and let me tell you
  115. 3:46this advice is only for people who are
  116. 3:48really willing to be honest with
  117. 3:49themselves because some people might lie
  118. 3:50to themselves and think well there's no
  119. 3:52reason that Elon Musk wouldn't want to
  120. 3:54hang out with me or Grant Cardone
  121. 3:55wouldn't want to hang out with me but if
  122. 3:57you haven't done anything great if you
  123. 3:58haven't created anything thing great why
  124. 4:00would they want to spend time with you
  125. 4:02and that's a hard pill to swallow
  126. 4:03however once you swallow it then you can
  127. 4:05get into action the most practical tip I
  128. 4:07can give you is to identify the 10 most
  129. 4:10successful people in the specific field
  130. 4:12that you decide that you want to pursue
  131. 4:13where you want to become a millionaire
  132. 4:15in and you study them so I chose the
  133. 4:18Cardone specifically to study because
  134. 4:20they had the stats they were a power
  135. 4:22couple they already had a billion dollar
  136. 4:24net worth which was my Target and they
  137. 4:26worked together those criteria change
  138. 4:29everything for me so this brings me to
  139. 4:30step number four which is stop wasting
  140. 4:32your time time is your most important
  141. 4:35asset your ability to study to learn to
  142. 4:39educate yourself on mornings evenings
  143. 4:42weekends in the shower driving you use
  144. 4:46those opportunities to build the skill
  145. 4:48set that you are learning from the best
  146. 4:50of the best for me that was a
  147. 4:52combination of podcasts YouTube videos
  148. 4:54and books I studied every waking minute
  149. 4:56so that I could get the education
  150. 4:58because if you just believe that that
  151. 5:00somebody knew something more than you
  152. 5:01and that's all you had to do is learn
  153. 5:03from them what they know that you don't
  154. 5:05know that's the hack but most people
  155. 5:07study from the wrong people they don't
  156. 5:08set the target to begin with they don't
  157. 5:10even think that they can become a
  158. 5:11millionaire so all of this work just
  159. 5:13goes to waste and then they waste their
  160. 5:15time they waste their time with Netflix
  161. 5:17they waste their time scrolling
  162. 5:19endlessly on social media you see if you
  163. 5:21want to be a millionaire you should only
  164. 5:22be following millionaires on social
  165. 5:24media you have to stop wasting your time
  166. 5:27on things that aren't allowing you to
  167. 5:29you gain competency if you really want
  168. 5:32to be a millionaire in your chosen field
  169. 5:34you have to be an expert you have to be
  170. 5:36fully competent and understand the terms
  171. 5:40the definitions the players how the game
  172. 5:43works you have to be a student of the
  173. 5:45game that you were choosing to play step
  174. 5:47five is probably the hardest for most
  175. 5:49people to accept and it is to go into
  176. 5:51debt which translates to you have to be
  177. 5:53willing to invest once you invest and
  178. 5:57you realize that the money that you have
  179. 5:59is a tool to get you to where you want
  180. 6:02to go instead of something that you save
  181. 6:05and you afford all of a sudden
  182. 6:07opportunities open up because when you
  183. 6:09invest you can get in the rooms with
  184. 6:13people who have done what you are trying
  185. 6:15to do but without investing and
  186. 6:17potentially having to go into debt you
  187. 6:19are just stuck in your house in your car
  188. 6:21doing what you've always done being in
  189. 6:23the same environment you've always been
  190. 6:24in and you never have to force yourself
  191. 6:26to become the type of person who can be
  192. 6:28in a different room but it feels
  193. 6:30uncomfortable because nobody wants to
  194. 6:31invest before they know how to make
  195. 6:33money but in order to make money you
  196. 6:35have to invest Grant Cardone has my
  197. 6:37favorite quote on this he says if you
  198. 6:38don't invest time and money you will
  199. 6:41never have time and money so for
  200. 6:43instance a $10,000 investment in a
  201. 6:45mastermind is not what's going to make
  202. 6:47you broke what's actually making you
  203. 6:49broke is the fact that you don't have
  204. 6:50the knowledge that is inside that
  205. 6:52$110,000 Mastermind you see you need to
  206. 6:55understand what those teachings are and
  207. 6:57without having access how are you going
  208. 6:58to learn those things see the first time
  209. 7:00that I invested in myself it was a
  210. 7:02marketing course for
  211. 7:03$4,000 I did not have the $4,000 to be
  212. 7:06able to invest in this marketing course
  213. 7:08but I recognized that I needed to get
  214. 7:10myself out there I needed to get myself
  215. 7:12known and the way that you do that is
  216. 7:14through promotion and through marketing
  217. 7:15so I was at an event it was a women's
  218. 7:17event I was all jazzed up I was excited
  219. 7:20I was like yeah these speakers are
  220. 7:22amazing they just were like lighting me
  221. 7:24up I was like what would it be like if I
  222. 7:25could be up on that stage with them one
  223. 7:27day I deserve to be up on that stage
  224. 7:29with them one day I'm not at that point
  225. 7:31right now but that's what I want so at
  226. 7:33the end of the event they made an offer
  227. 7:34for $4,000 marketing course and I
  228. 7:38panicked like oh my gosh $4,000 is so
  229. 7:41much money and what if I don't make that
  230. 7:42money back what if I could learn all
  231. 7:43this stuff online and then it was just a
  232. 7:45waste of money and then I feel silly and
  233. 7:47all of the self-doubt just started to
  234. 7:48creep in as soon as they started talking
  235. 7:50about $4,000 which was a number that I
  236. 7:52was uncomfortable with but I made the
  237. 7:53investment I just did it I was like I'm
  238. 7:55going all in because it's going to force
  239. 7:57me to become a different version of
  240. 7:58myself and I'm unwilling in one year
  241. 8:00from now to be the same person that I am
  242. 8:01today step six is simply to get yourself
  243. 8:05in the room to go from zero to a
  244. 8:07millionaire you need to get into the
  245. 8:09rooms with people who could actually
  246. 8:11help you if you don't get into the rooms
  247. 8:13you're not going to become that person I
  248. 8:15have attended so many conferences where
  249. 8:17I use them as an opportunity to say
  250. 8:20Natalie in 3 months from now when you
  251. 8:22attend this event you are going to have
  252. 8:24completed XYZ projects so that you can
  253. 8:26talk about this because you know that
  254. 8:28these types of people are going to be
  255. 8:30there and you have to prepare yourself
  256. 8:31cuz right now you're lame right now you
  257. 8:33don't have anything to offer anybody
  258. 8:34it's just the reality but you are going
  259. 8:36to have something to offer somebody
  260. 8:38because in 3 months from now you have a
  261. 8:40Target and you can create something in 3
  262. 8:42months from now you can create a landing
  263. 8:44page you can create an offer you can
  264. 8:46make movement if you know that you've
  265. 8:48committed yourself to be a place in the
  266. 8:50future so you become somebody in the
  267. 8:52process of attending that event that is
  268. 8:54valuable to the people that you know are
  269. 8:56going to be there but you are never
  270. 8:58going to take the steps that are
  271. 8:59required if you don't actually commit to
  272. 9:01getting in the room this is why for
  273. 9:02those 10 people that you are studying
  274. 9:05find rooms that they are going to be in
  275. 9:07and invest your money to get in that
  276. 9:09room so that when you show up you are
  277. 9:11forcing yourself to become the type of
  278. 9:13person that they would want to spend
  279. 9:14time with you get in the proximity to
  280. 9:17people who are making a million dollars
  281. 9:18and when you are in proximity you
  282. 9:20freaking impress the hell out of them
  283. 9:22the next step is to find out who is
  284. 9:24going to be in this room and research
  285. 9:26the hell out of them my motto is become
  286. 9:29the ultimate stalker but the good kind
  287. 9:31of stalker the stalker who is informed
  288. 9:33the stalker who does their research and
  289. 9:35isn't creepy and weird don't be that
  290. 9:37kind of soccer but the person that
  291. 9:39actually shows up and has looked up
  292. 9:41people ahead of time knows who their
  293. 9:43targets are because when you go to an
  294. 9:44event the target is not needing every
  295. 9:46single person that would be an
  296. 9:47unsuccessful action the target is
  297. 9:49finding the handful and remember this it
  298. 9:52is always a handful you were trying to
  299. 9:54find a handful of people who can help
  300. 9:57you get to where you were trying to go
  301. 9:58so when you look at the event ahead of
  302. 10:00time how can you find out who is going
  303. 10:02to be in the room do they have a
  304. 10:04WhatsApp group do they have a Facebook
  305. 10:05group how are people inside this
  306. 10:07community connecting what's cool about
  307. 10:09living in today's day and age is that
  308. 10:11when you go to an event like this they
  309. 10:13are likely trying to build a community
  310. 10:16which means that they have some sort of
  311. 10:17a community already existing ahead of
  312. 10:19time so do your freaking research this
  313. 10:22is what millionaires do they always go
  314. 10:24into rooms totally prepared your next
  315. 10:27step to acting and earning like a
  316. 10:29millionaire is learning how to sell
  317. 10:31because you see the richest most
  318. 10:33successful people you know they all know
  319. 10:35how to sell making money is a game
  320. 10:38comprised of knowing how to sell every
  321. 10:40single day you're going to have to sell
  322. 10:42yourself sell your customers and sell
  323. 10:44your future team members on who you are
  324. 10:46what you do and why anybody should care
  325. 10:49so regardless of if you want to be an
  326. 10:51engineer a lawyer an entrepreneur a real
  327. 10:54estate agent you have to learn how to
  328. 10:56sell so I strongly recommend that you
  329. 10:58are learning in the skill that you
  330. 11:00decided that you were going to become a
  331. 11:01millionaire in while concurrently
  332. 11:04learning how to sell because sales will
  333. 11:06follow you through out your millionaire
  334. 11:08process the best person to teach on
  335. 11:10sales is Grant Cardone he changed my
  336. 11:13life when I read the book sell or be
  337. 11:14sold because it teaches you how to get
  338. 11:17sold on yourself first so that then you
  339. 11:19have confidence in selling other people
  340. 11:21on you but if you aren't sold on you
  341. 11:23first you're going to have a lot of
  342. 11:24challenges selling other people cuz
  343. 11:26you're going to feel a little bit like a
  344. 11:27fraud and to me that is the
  345. 11:28misconception in sales is that it's
  346. 11:30braggy or that you have to be stumping
  347. 11:33somebody or giving them something that
  348. 11:34they don't want it's about listening to
  349. 11:36somebody it's about understanding their
  350. 11:38problems and it's about you offering
  351. 11:40effective solutions to move them away
  352. 11:42from their problems at this point you
  353. 11:44pick a niche you've made new friends
  354. 11:47you've invested time and money learning
  355. 11:49and getting into the room and you've
  356. 11:51learned how to sell now it's time to
  357. 11:53start making money but we need to be
  358. 11:55crystal clear on our goals which is why
  359. 11:57step nine is to set to your millionaire
  360. 12:00metrics you will never be a millionaire
  361. 12:02if you don't have millionaire metrics
  362. 12:04the coolest thing about becoming a
  363. 12:05millionaire is that it is literally just
  364. 12:07math if you made
  365. 12:10$2,740 a day you would be a millionaire
  366. 12:12so whatever it is that you are selling
  367. 12:14you have to do the math backwards to
  368. 12:16understand how many of those units how
  369. 12:18many of those products how many of those
  370. 12:19Services you would need to sell in order
  371. 12:21to generate a million dollars but once
  372. 12:23you understand how many units you have
  373. 12:24to sell you do have to break it down for
  374. 12:26day so that every single day you know
  375. 12:29what your goals are in order to hit your
  376. 12:31million dooll targets you have to get
  377. 12:33clear on your Target and what you need
  378. 12:35to be doing each and every day because
  379. 12:37as you come into challenges and
  380. 12:39roadblocks that's okay it is quite
  381. 12:41literally part of the process but if you
  382. 12:43give up on the way because you become
  383. 12:45unenthused or uninspired or you're not
  384. 12:48even looking at your targets any longer
  385. 12:49then you're never going to get there
  386. 12:51knowing that you're going to come into
