1. 0:00You can beat 99% of people if you can
2. 0:03master the shame of rejection, the
3. 0:05boredom of repetition, and the pain of
4. 0:08feedback.
5. 0:09You could be almost anyone at anything
6. 0:11if you're willing to fail 20 times in a
7. 0:13row, look stupid in front of people that
8. 0:15you care about, and keep going long
9. 0:18after it stopped being convenient.
10. 0:21So, let me unpack that for a second.
11. 0:25Most
12. 0:26So, in 20 hours,
13. 0:28most people can achieve a base level of
14. 0:31competence in just about any skill. And
15. 0:33that like that includes money-making
16. 0:34skills. That's what's crazy. Like you
17. 0:36want to learn sales? Your first 20 hours
18. 0:37of sales, you will learn more about
19. 0:38sales than all of the videos and all the
20. 0:40books you've ever read.
21. 0:41Because you have so much more feedback
22. 0:43cuz you're actually doing it. That's the
23. 0:45thing is that you need feedback cycles
24. 0:47to learn. And learning for everyone,
25. 0:51same condition, new behavior. So, if you
26. 0:54watch more videos,
27. 0:56but your conditions are the same, and
28. 0:58your behavior does not change, you
29. 1:00entertained yourself. You did not
30. 1:02educate yourself. Learning only
31. 1:04manifests with a change in behavior in
32. 1:07the same conditions. And so, if you're
33. 1:09going to consume stuff, you have to act
34. 1:12on it in order for learning to occur.
35. 1:14And so, I say this because as somebody
36. 1:16who once was a a watchpreneur who liked
37. 1:19to tickle my ears with That sounds
38. 1:21weird. With with different books and
39. 1:22self-help stuff, I realized one day,
40. 1:24this was when I was 21 or 22, I had read
41. 1:28like 14 self-help books over like a
42. 1:30quarter.
43. 1:31And I was like, I'm going to read a book
44. 1:32a week, that whole thing, right? And I
45. 1:34realized at the end of the 14 books, I
46. 1:36was in the same job, working in the same
47. 1:38city, and nothing in my life had
48. 1:40changed.
49. 1:41And so, I was like, well then what was
50. 1:43the outcome of those books? What was the
51. 1:45point of reading them?
52. 1:46And then I was like, oh, if I don't do
53. 1:49anything, nothing's going to happen. And
54. 1:52so, then at that point, I then vowed
55. 1:53that the next book that I read, I would
56. 1:56do everything in the book and until I'd
57. 1:58done that, I wouldn't read another book.
58. 2:02And then I quit my job and I drove
59. 2:03across the country and then a lot of
60. 2:04things changed, right? But I say that
61. 2:06because some of you guys are in that
62. 2:07boat.
63. 2:08But it scales all the way up. If you
