How to ACTUALLY Change Your Identity in 2026 (complete reset) — Transcript

- 0:00If you're going into 2026 hoping this
- 0:03will finally be the year you change, but
- 0:06deep down you're afraid that you might
- 0:09be the same version of yourself again.
- 0:12This video is for you. Every year around
- 0:15this time, people set new goals, new
- 0:18habits, new actions, new routines, but
- 0:21also every year people revert back to
- 0:24their old self. And this used to happen
- 0:26to me all the time. I would set all the
- 0:29goals, make my vision board, and go so
- 0:32hard the beginning of the year to only
- 0:34become my old self, and never actually
- 0:37reach any of my goals. And the thing
- 0:39was, it wasn't because I was lazy or
- 0:41undisiplined. And it's not because
- 0:42you're lazy or you're undisiplined, but
- 0:45it's because people try to act different
- 0:47without actually becoming a different
- 0:50person. So that's why I want to talk
- 0:52about in today's video how to actually
- 0:55shift your identity to become a
- 0:57different person so next year you truly
- 1:01live the most unrecognizable
- 1:03unforgettable life for yourself. Now I
- 1:06have an entire process that I'm going to
- 1:08go through when it comes to shifting
- 1:09your identity. But I want to first go
- 1:11through a very important piece because
- 1:15most people want to change, but they're
- 1:18not actually ready to change. And this
- 1:21happened to me back in 2019. I remember
- 1:24wanting to change. I remember wanting to
- 1:27build my own business, start making my
- 1:29own money, but my identity, my habits,
- 1:33my actions, my thoughts, and my beliefs
- 1:35were not matching the identity of a
- 1:38business owner. Because every single day
- 1:40during my downtime, instead of reading
- 1:43books to learn about how to start a
- 1:45business, I would watch Netflix. Instead
- 1:47of posting content on social media, I
- 1:50would be scrolling and watching other
- 1:52people do it. I didn't spend any time
- 1:54being in front of the camera and working
- 1:56on my camera presence. Even though I
- 1:57wanted to build a brand, I spent the
- 1:59majority of my time just being insecure
- 2:02and picking myself apart. So the
- 2:04identity of who I wanted to become a
- 2:07real business owner wasn't matching who
- 2:09I was in the past back then. I was
- 2:12basically being the person who was
- 2:14consuming versus creating. So the first
- 2:17thing that I really want you to ask
- 2:19yourself and what I had to ask myself
- 2:21was am I actually ready to change? And
- 2:25these are the questions that I went
- 2:27through to actually get to a point to
- 2:29tell myself that like, okay, I'm
- 2:30actually ready to commit and I'm
- 2:32actually ready to do this. Question
- 2:34number one, are you done reverting back
- 2:36to your old identity when things feel
- 2:39hard? True change happens when you
- 2:42choose to take a different action when
- 2:44things are falling apart. So, in the
- 2:46midst of you questioning your life
- 2:48choices, are you going to actually get
- 2:51up and go on a walk and go work out? Are
- 2:54you going to get up and create a game
- 2:56plan to actually change or are you going
- 2:58to just pick up your phone and scroll on
- 3:00social media or watch Netflix? Ask
- 3:02yourself, are you actually done
- 3:04reverting back to your old self?
- 3:07Question number two, are you ready to
- 3:09choose new habits and let go of old
- 3:12ones? So once again, if you every single
- 3:15day you wake up in the morning and you
- 3:18go to Starbucks and you get yourself a
- 3:20Frappuccino and a muffin and that's
- 3:22loaded with sugar and then you crash at
- 3:25like 11:00 a.m., but you want to be in
- 3:27the healthiest, fittest body, are you
- 3:29going to wake up every single morning
- 3:30and make your own breakfast in the
- 3:32kitchen? You need to ask yourself this.
- 3:34Are you actually ready to choose new
- 3:36habits? Question number three, are you
- 3:38here to change your identity, not just
- 3:42get the outcome? This was a big thing
- 3:44that I really had to ask myself and I
- 3:46really had to unlearn because a lot of
- 3:48the times we will only do habits,
- 3:51actions, and be a new person when we
- 3:54want a goal. But true change happens
- 3:57when you actually become that person
- 3:59regardless of the outcome. So for me, I
- 4:02didn't want to just make my own money. I
- 4:04didn't want to just have a business. I
- 4:06didn't want to just have a husband. I
- 4:08actually wanted to be the person where I
- 4:11was wealthy all the time. I wanted to be
- 4:13the person that felt loved without
- 4:15needing someone else else to tell me
- 4:17that, hey, you look beautiful. I wanted
- 4:20to feel that and be that person for
- 4:23myself. So I found that for me over the
- 4:26course of doing personal development
- 4:27work for close to 10 years now, it's not
- 4:30just about wanting the outcome, but it's
- 4:31also about actually being and becoming
- 4:35that new person. And then last question,
- 4:37which is one of the biggest ones, are
- 4:39you ready to stop entertaining negative
- 4:43thoughts? Negative thoughts will keep
- 4:45you in your old identity. They will keep
- 4:47you in your old life. They will keep you
- 4:49in your old habits. They will disguise
- 4:51themselves to tell you, hey, just be
- 4:53comfortable. You know, do what's
- 4:55familiar to you so that way you feel
- 4:57good. But your negative thoughts, they
- 4:59are going to keep you in your old life.
- 5:01And truly, genuinely, if you actually
- 5:03want to change your life, you need to
- 5:05catch your old old thoughts and you need
- 5:08to tell it that it is done. You are no
- 5:10longer entertaining that, oh, I can't do
- 5:13it. I'm inconsistent. You know, I don't
- 5:15I don't look good enough to be on
- 5:17camera. we are not entertaining that
- 5:19anymore. So, if you answered yes to all
- 5:23of these questions that you're you're
- 5:25done doing all of these things,
- 5:27congratulations. That means that you're
- 5:29actually ready to change and you're
- 5:31ready to become that new person in 2026.
- 5:34So, now I want to get into the fun part,
- 5:36which is actually shifting your identity
- 5:40and what I call like your identity
- 5:42transformation. So, what I'm going to do
- 5:44is I'm going to pull out my iPad and I
- 5:46am going to draw out your identity
- 5:50transformation process. Now, what I
- 5:52actually recommend doing is doing this
- 5:54with me. So, if you want to grab a pen,
- 5:57you want to grab a piece of paper, this
- 5:59is going to be the process of you first
- 6:02basically just drawing out your old
- 6:05identity because I always say in order
- 6:08to become a new person, you need to
- 6:10become familiar with who you are right
- 6:12now. So, let's do this process together.
- 6:15First things first, what you're going to
- 6:16do is I'm going to draw out a person in
- 6:20the middle. Now this right now this is
- 6:24gonna have like a slight smiley face.
- 6:27This is your old identity. Now you want
- 6:30to write out basically who you are right
- 6:32now. So we're going to write out
- 6:35identity here at the top. Now your
- 6:37identity is who you live by every single
- 6:40day. This is not who you want to be.
- 6:42This is basically the stories that you
- 6:44tell yourself, the thoughts that you
- 6:46constantly repeat, the actions that
- 6:48you're telling telling yourself that
- 6:50make up the version of you right now. So
- 6:54right now you might be telling yourself
- 6:56that I am inconsistent.
- 6:59You might be the person that always
- 7:01quits. So you want to write down I
- 7:03always quit. And this is also where it's
- 7:06like you're doing this without judging
- 7:09yourself because when you're writing
- 7:10down your old identity, you're writing
- 7:12down all of the things that are
- 7:13basically stopping you from becoming
- 7:15your old self. One thing that I had to
- 7:17write down is I am very insecure because
- 7:22I used to always compare myself to other
- 7:24people. So, I had to write that down.
- 7:27And honestly, when you're doing this,
- 7:28you're going to have a whole list of
- 7:30things that you're associating yourself
- 7:32with that you don't even realize that
- 7:34you're doing every single day. Because
- 7:36once again, when I did this process, my
- 7:38old identity, like my inner dialogue
- 7:40every day was like, you can't do it.
- 7:42You're not good enough. Like, like it's
- 7:45going to take you years to even make a
- 7:47change in your life. This is the story
- 7:49that is basically creating the life that
- 7:51you have right now. So take the time to
- 7:54write out every single story, dialogue
- 7:56in or thought that you are having. And
- 7:59then after you write out your identity,
- 8:01then we want to get into the second
- 8:03piece that makes up your identity. And
- 8:05these are your thoughts
- 8:08and your beliefs.
- 8:11Now, of course, when you're writing down
- 8:13your identity, you might have different
- 8:15thoughts that you wrote down in that
- 8:16section, but this is where you want to
- 8:18get deeper and you want to write out
- 8:20like the repeating thoughts that you're
- 8:22telling yourself every single day
- 8:23because thoughts are basically the
- 8:25language of your life and beliefs are
- 8:28the rules that you live by every single
- 8:31day. So, the the repeated thought that
- 8:34you might be telling yourself is I don't
- 8:37want to do it. Your thoughts will always
- 8:39support the life that you're building.
- 8:42So if you're trying to do something
- 8:44that's hard, and you're telling
- 8:45yourself, "Oh, I don't really want to do
- 8:47it. I'd rather just sit on the couch and
- 8:49watch Netflix," that is supporting the
- 8:52identity that you're creating for
- 8:53yourself because then you start to tell
- 8:54yourself, "Oh, this is, you know, too
- 8:56hard. I'm inconsistent. I don't really
- 8:58want to do this. I'm insecure." And that
- 9:00starts to make up who you actually are.
- 9:02But on the flip side also, if you tell
- 9:03yourself that I'm disciplined, and once
- 9:07again, you're supposed to write down
- 9:08your old your old thoughts right now,
- 9:10but I just want to show you this as an
- 9:11example. If you tell yourself you're
- 9:13disciplined, your life is going to start
- 9:15to show all the reasons why that's
- 9:17actually true for you. But for me, for
- 9:19an example, I didn't say that I was
- 9:21disciplined. I wrote down that, you
- 9:23know, I'm lazy. That those are the
- 9:25thoughts that would go through my mind.
- 9:26And some beliefs I had is it's really
- 9:29hard to make money.
- 9:32It's also very hard to find love.
- 9:36Some other thoughts for me, especially
- 9:38since I want to build a business on
- 9:39social media, social media is too
- 9:42saturated. So, as you're doing this, you
- 9:45just want to write down once again all
- 9:46the thoughts and beliefs that you think
- 9:47is stopping you from creating the life
- 9:49that you want. And sometimes
- 9:51doing this in sections is really going
- 9:53to help. So, if you want to work on your
- 9:55love life, think about all the thoughts
- 9:57and beliefs that are stopping you from
- 9:58actually putting yourself out there out
- 10:00there and starting to find love. If you
- 10:02want to make more money like how I did,
- 10:05write down all the thoughts and beliefs
- 10:06that might be stopping you from actually
- 10:08becoming wealthy, from actually building
- 10:10a business. And then the last piece of
- 10:12this is you want to write down all of
- 10:15the actions
- 10:16and the habits that your old self is
- 10:18doing that is keeping you consistent
- 10:21with your old identity. So once again,
- 10:23this might be choosing
- 10:26to watch Netflix
- 10:28over reading.
- 10:30Maybe it's constantly texting
- 10:34your ex,
- 10:36even if they've already moved on, but
- 10:39you still haven't moved on yourself.
- 10:41Maybe it's eating
- 10:43junk food when you feel sad or stressed.
- 10:47I know a big thing for me, which some
- 10:49people think it's good, but for me, I
- 10:51just did this so much was like
- 10:53complaining and gossiping to my friends.
- 10:57It's one thing to like vent to your
- 11:00friends about like a problem that you're
- 11:02having in your life, but if you're doing
- 11:03it so consistently, that ends up
- 11:06actually creating a lot of your life and
- 11:08your identity. And I talked a little bit
- 11:10more about this in this video. So, if
- 11:12you haven't watched this, watch it after
- 11:13this video. But after you do this, you
- 11:16are going to have an entire list,
- 11:18basically a blueprint of who you are
- 11:21right now. And who you are right now,
- 11:23once again, is not a match of who you
- 11:24want to be. So if we know who you don't
- 11:27want to be, it's going to be so much
- 11:29easier to not do those things when we
- 11:32write out our new identity and who we
- 11:35want to shift into in 2026. So the
- 11:38second part of this is after you write
- 11:39down your entire old self, your old
- 11:43identity, you want to draw out a new
- 11:46person, a new stick figure, and go
- 11:48through this process again. So for just
- 11:50like the sake of this video, I already
- 11:52drew out the new person. And this is
- 11:55basically who I always wanted to be. All
- 11:59of like the the identity, the inner
- 12:01dialogue, the thoughts, the beliefs, the
- 12:02actions, and the habits. So, for an
- 12:04example, my identity now is I'm always
- 12:08somebody that figures things out, right?
- 12:10So, instead of saying, "Oh, I just can't
- 12:12do it." Or like, you know, it just
- 12:14always so hard for me to like get things
- 12:16done. That's not something that I
- 12:18struggle with anymore. I'm great at
- 12:21making money. That is something that I
- 12:23struggled with a lot. So, that is the
- 12:25new identity that I'm just taking on.
- 12:27Even if it's not true right now, if I
- 12:29tell myself that I'm I'm great at making
- 12:31money. I'm great at figuring things out.
- 12:33Like, I'm great at always reaching my
- 12:35goals, that is what I'm actually going
- 12:37to start to see in my life. So, you want
- 12:39to start to write out all of the new
- 12:41identity, the inner dialogue, the
- 12:43stories that you want to tell yourself
- 12:44that are going to make up the new
- 12:46identity. Once again, they do not have
- 12:47to be true right now. That's the whole
- 12:49point. You are not your new self right
- 12:51now, and that is okay. But you want to
- 12:52write out the new identity. And then all
- 12:55the thoughts and beliefs. I'm so
- 12:57consistent. I'm so grateful for the life
- 12:59that I have right now. I'm so excited to
- 13:02learn. This is a very big one. Okay. If
- 13:04you are trying to do something new and
- 13:06different and you don't have knowledge
- 13:08in that area, you need to learn. You
- 13:10need to read books. You need to watch
- 13:11videos. So tell yourself, I'm so excited
- 13:13to learn. Um some beliefs that I had to
- 13:16instill inside of myself. Posting videos
- 13:19will make me more confident. It's not
- 13:22even about posting videos so I go viral
- 13:24and I build a business once again back
- 13:26then my old self but it was just about
- 13:28like posting just posting a video will
- 13:31make me more confident and and in
- 13:33posting a video naturally I'll build an
- 13:36audience anyone can make a lot of money
- 13:38because that is so true like it doesn't
- 13:40matter your past it doesn't matter what
- 13:42happened you know previously in your old
- 13:45job in your old business in your old
- 13:47career or whatever it was anybody can
- 13:49actually make a lot of And then going
- 13:51into actions and habits, reading for 30
- 13:54minutes a day. When I actually made this
- 13:57a habit for myself, not only did I
- 13:59naturally learn so much, it was easy for
- 14:02me. I didn't have any resistance because
- 14:05like I I didn't associate myself with my
- 14:07old self anymore. I stepped into my new
- 14:09self. 8 a.m. gym routine every single
- 14:12morning. It wasn't a question of whether
- 14:14I'm going to go out or not. I was
- 14:16putting workout clothes on and I was
- 14:18leaving to go to the gym. posting every
- 14:20single day at noon. There isn't a day
- 14:22now that I do not post on social media.
- 14:25Every single day at noon that is like
- 14:27literally discipline. Every single day
- 14:29I'll do it. And then like even just like
- 14:31speaking up for my needs. I used to be
- 14:33someone that was such a people pleaser.
- 14:35I would always like push over um like my
- 14:38boundaries to please other people. But
- 14:40for now, but now like I will speak up. I
- 14:43will tell somebody, hey, if like this
- 14:45does not align with my habits, my
- 14:46routines, my actions, who I am right
- 14:48now, I will not do it. So, you want to
- 14:51write out your whole new identity and do
- 14:55it in this way just because it makes it
- 14:56more fun. Draw out your stick identity.
- 14:59You can even like draw out like your
- 15:01routine, kind of like your schedule of
- 15:04the new version of who you actually want
- 15:06to be in 2026. Now, the most important
- 15:09part that really allowed me to change
- 15:11and become a new person every single
- 15:13year was being her and embodying her
- 15:17wholeheartedly, not acting like her.
- 15:20Because it's so easy to put on this hat
- 15:24and act like her just when you want to
- 15:26get the outcome, just when you want to
- 15:28get a result. But truly embodying this
- 15:32new identity, truly shifting and
- 15:34changing your entire life comes by doing
- 15:38and being this person when nobody else
- 15:41is watching. Doing this when you don't
- 15:44even need that outcome, when you're not
- 15:45expecting and getting the result. So for
- 15:48me, it wasn't just to be this person
- 15:51when I'm creating content online. I had
- 15:54to be this person when I was in my
- 15:56kitchen eating dinner. the thoughts that
- 15:58were going in my head when I was
- 16:00brushing my teeth, getting ready for
- 16:02bed, I had to actually embody this
- 16:05person. It's not enough to just, you
- 16:07know, act like her throughout the day
- 16:09and just like act like her when you're
- 16:11out in in public in front of your
- 16:13friends or going on dates. It's really
- 16:15about like who are you when nobody is
- 16:18watching? And when you can actually be
- 16:20her and embody her and make decisions
- 16:23and choose thoughts and beliefs that
- 16:26actually match the new version of
- 16:29yourself, that is when the shift
- 16:31actually happens. So one mini thing I
- 16:34always love to do is practice micro
- 16:36identities. When you can practice and be
- 16:38her in boring mundane moments,
- 16:41regardless of once again the outcome,
- 16:42the result that you want, that is when
- 16:44the shift actually happens. You owe it
- 16:47to yourself to actually change next
- 16:49year. 2026, it's not another year that's
- 16:52going to go by where you're going to
- 16:54revert back to your old self. This is
- 16:56the year that you're actually going to
- 16:57make a difference. You're actually going
- 16:59to stick with it and you're going to do
- 17:01so because your old identity, it's no
- 17:03longer here. You don't associate
- 17:05yourself with her anymore. It's not just
- 17:07like, oh, I'm just going to do it
- 17:08tomorrow. You don't even identify
- 17:11yourself with that person anymore. So,
- 17:13I'm so excited for 2026. I'm so excited
- 17:16for you. So, let me know in the comments
- 17:19one shift that you are going to do
- 17:21starting today to step into your new
- 17:24identity. I love you so much, bestie. If
- 17:27you haven't watched this video, make
- 17:28sure to watch it next. And until next
- 17:30time, make sure that you stay
- 17:31unforgettable.
