- 0:00If you're getting 100 views on a video
- 0:01you spent 20 hours creating while
- 0:03watching other creators blow up with
- 0:04content that seems thrown together, this
- 0:06video will finally explain what's
- 0:08actually happening. The YouTube
- 0:09algorithm has fundamentally changed and
- 0:11most creators are still playing by 2022
- 0:13rules in a 202526 game. I'm going to
- 0:17show you exactly what's different and
- 0:18give you the new framework that's
- 0:20actually working for small creators who
- 0:21are building real momentum right now. In
- 0:23this video, you'll learn why your
- 0:25current YouTube strategy is fighting an
- 0:26uphill battle. how the algorithm
- 0:28actually treats small channels in 2025
- 0:30and the new framework that's helping
- 0:32creators build real momentum despite
- 0:33increased competition. By the end,
- 0:35you'll understand exactly how to
- 0:37position yourself as the algorithm's
- 0:38favorite type of small creator, the one
- 0:40it promotes consistently instead of
- 0:42randomly. Also, just real quick, I want
- 0:44to let you know that I've just launched
- 0:45my 12-week program that walks you
- 0:47through everything we're covering today
- 0:48and more. The links in the description
- 0:50if you want to check it out. I'll also
- 0:52talk about it more after I've given you
- 0:54some value.
- 0:56Here's what most creators don't realize.
- 0:58Much of the advice you're following is
- 1:00based on what worked years ago when
- 1:02YouTube was a completely different
- 1:03platform. That advice might have been
- 1:05perfect at the time, but it's from a
- 1:07snapshot of the past. The context has
- 1:09changed completely. Search on YouTube is
- 1:12basically dead now. Not completely
- 1:13useless, but it used to be about 30% of
- 1:16how people found videos. And now it's
- 1:17hardly 5%. Your priorities need to shift
- 1:20completely. You don't get views anymore
- 1:22by hoping someone searches for your
- 1:24exact topic. You get views by having
- 1:25your video magically show up in front of
- 1:27someone's face while they're browsing
- 1:29for something to watch. Think about your
- 1:31own behavior. When's the last time that
- 1:33you actually search for something on
- 1:34YouTube? Most of your watching happens
- 1:36from your homepage, your subscription
- 1:38feed, or the suggested videos next to
- 1:40what you're already watching. That's
- 1:41where the game is played. Now, let me
- 1:44put this into perspective for you. When
- 1:46your video shows up in someone's
- 1:47suggested feed or homepage, you're
- 1:49sitting right next to all of their
- 1:51favorite creators, people they've been
- 1:53watching for years. channels with
- 1:54millions of subscribers, professional
- 1:56production teams, and you have to be the
- 1:59better choice for them. Your thumbnail
- 2:01has to stop somewhat midscroll better
- 2:03than some polished thumbnail from a
- 2:05million subscriber channel right next to
- 2:07it. Your title has to create more
- 2:08curiosity than the creator they've loved
- 2:10for 5 years. That's the game now. But
- 2:14here's what's making it even harder. AI
- 2:15is flooding every niche with content at
- 2:17an alarming rate. The amount of content
- 2:19on this platform is going to triple in
- 2:21the next 5 years. If you're still doing
- 2:24tutorials or just sharing information,
- 2:26you're being replaced. Right now, I can
- 2:28pull out my phone, talk it to it like
- 2:31it's a friend, and get a solution
- 2:32specific to my exact situation at 4 in
- 2:34the morning. Knowledge isn't scarce
- 2:36anymore. Information isn't valuable just
- 2:38because it exists. So, how do you stand
- 2:40out when knowledge isn't scarce anymore?
- 2:42That's what we need to figure out.
- 2:44Here's what's actually happening with
- 2:45your videos, and this might explain
- 2:47everything you've been experiencing. The
- 2:48algorithm is struggling to keep up. With
- 2:51all of this new content flooding the
- 2:52platform, it can't pay attention to
- 2:54every single video you upload. Here's a
- 2:57pattern I'm seeing with small channels.
- 2:59The algorithm can't watch all your
- 3:00videos, so it runs experiments. Every
- 3:02once in a while, you'll get way more
- 3:04impressions than normal. Maybe your
- 3:06video that usually gets 50 views
- 3:07suddenly gets 500 or a thousand. And
- 3:09then things flatline again. This isn't
- 3:12random. This is the algorithm that just
- 3:14ran an experiment on your content. It's
- 3:16learning what it can from that test, but
- 3:18then it runs away for a while to process
- 3:20that data. Sometime later, maybe three
- 3:23or four videos later, it shows back up
- 3:25to try again. Last time it gave you
- 3:271,000 impressions, maybe this time it
- 3:29tries 2,000. But here's the critical
- 3:31part. When it comes back, it needs to
- 3:33see the same pattern. If your first
- 3:35video was about gaming and the next one
- 3:37it tests is about cooking, it gets
- 3:39confused. It doesn't know what to do
- 3:41with you. This is why consistency
- 3:43matters more than ever. Not just upload
- 3:45consistency, but content consistency.
- 3:48Each time the algorithm shows up to run
- 3:49an experiment, you need to be building
- 3:51on what it learned from the last video.
- 3:53If you don't, then it's starting over
- 3:55each time. You'll never build momentum.
- 3:57Your goal is to train the algorithm on
- 3:58exactly who your content is for.
- 4:01Speaking of training the algorithm, if
- 4:02you could take a moment to hit the like
- 4:04button for me, it'll help train the
- 4:05algorithm to find more people like you.
- 4:07Thanks.
- 4:09Now that you understand how the
- 4:10algorithm treats small channels, let's
- 4:12talk about what it actually cares about.
- 4:14The algorithm prioritizes retention over
- 4:16almost everything else. Now, look at how
- 4:18YouTube's new AB testing works. It's
- 4:20based on retention, not click-through
- 4:22rate. But to send all the right signals
- 4:23to the algorithm, you need people to
- 4:25make it to the end of your video. So,
- 4:26let's reverse engineer how that happens.
- 4:29Everything starts with your thumbnail.
- 4:30If your thumbnail doesn't stop someone
- 4:32in their tracks at a glance, they
- 4:34bounce. They never read your title. If
- 4:36your thumbnail catches their attention,
- 4:38but your title doesn't seal the deal and
- 4:39build a curiosity gap that they want
- 4:41filled, they bounce. If they commit to
- 4:43giving your video a chance, but your
- 4:45hook doesn't confirm that they'll get
- 4:46what they came for, they bounce within
- 4:4830 seconds. If they make it past 30
- 4:50seconds, but you don't start delivering
- 4:51on your promise, they bounce. It's a
- 4:53cascade. Each piece has to work well
- 4:55enough to get them to the next piece.
- 4:57This is my philosophy. You don't need
- 4:59each piece to be perfect. You just need
- 5:01each piece to be good enough that people
- 5:03don't immediately dismiss you as not
- 5:04belonging. Your thumbnail doesn't need
- 5:06to be perfect. It just needs to not look
- 5:08like it was made by someone who doesn't
- 5:10understand YouTube. Your title doesn't
- 5:11need to be the most clever thing ever
- 5:13written. It just needs to create enough
- 5:14curiosity that someone thinks, "Okay,
- 5:16I'll give this a try." Your hook doesn't
- 5:18need to be incredibly polished. It just
- 5:20needs to confirm that yes, they're going
- 5:21to get exactly what you promised, maybe
- 5:23even more. Do this long enough with
- 5:25consistent content, and you'll build up
- 5:27enough momentum to reach what I call
- 5:29escape velocity. the algorithm will
- 5:31start to understand who you serve and
- 5:32promote you more regularly. By the way,
- 5:35if you're realizing that your retention
- 5:36needs work, but you don't know where to
- 5:38start, that's one of the core things
- 5:39that we're going to focus on in my
- 5:4012week program. More details at the end,
- 5:42but there's still a link in the
- 5:43description. Now, let's talk about the
- 5:45reality of what this actually feels
- 5:47like. You're going to create videos that
- 5:49flop. You're going to spend 20 hours on
- 5:51something that gets 40 views while your
- 5:53throwaway video gets 400. Those
- 5:55algorithm experiments I had mentioned
- 5:57earlier, the waiting period between them
- 5:59can be weeks, sometimes months. And
- 6:01that's the hardest part, the waiting,
- 6:04not knowing if you're doing something
- 6:05wrong or if the other room just hasn't
- 6:07come back to test you again yet. I call
- 6:09this the valley of death, where you're
- 6:10not getting clear signals, if what
- 6:12you're doing is working. The key is
- 6:14using those waiting periods
- 6:15productively. Instead of constantly
- 6:17checking your analytics and driving
- 6:18yourself crazy, use the time to create
- 6:20more content and study what's working.
- 6:22Look at your failed videos
- 6:23systematically. Don't just dismiss them.
- 6:26What did you promise in the title and
- 6:27thumbnail? Did you deliver it in the
- 6:29first 30 seconds? Did you maintain that
- 6:31promise throughout? Most creators quit
- 6:33during the waiting periods. They think
- 6:35silence means failure. But silence might
- 6:37just mean that the algorithm is
- 6:38processing what it learned from your
- 6:39last experiment.
- 6:41So, how do you become the type of small
- 6:42creator that the algorithm actually
- 6:44promotes consistently instead of
- 6:46randomly? It comes down to three things
- 6:48working together. predictable audience,
- 6:50consistent value delivery, and retention
- 6:52optimization. First, predictable
- 6:54audience. The algorithm loves creators
- 6:56who serve the same type of person
- 6:58consistently. When it runs those
- 7:00experiments, it gets clear data. It
- 7:02knows exactly who to show your content
- 7:03to because you've trained it. Second,
- 7:06consistent value delivery. Not just
- 7:08uploading consistently, but delivering
- 7:09the same type of value each time.
- 7:12Whether that's entertainment, education,
- 7:13or inspiration, pick one and own it. The
- 7:16algorithm needs to categorize you
- 7:18clearly.
- 7:19Third, retention optimization. Clicks
- 7:21are important. They're the first piece
- 7:23of the chain. But don't forget, they're
- 7:24part of a bigger puzzle. The algorithm
- 7:26doesn't just want people to click. It
- 7:27wants them to stay on the platform. If
- 7:29your video keeps people watching YouTube
- 7:31longer, you become valuable to them.
- 7:33Here's a framework small successful
- 7:35creators are using. They pick one
- 7:37specific type of person and solve one
- 7:39specific type of problem and optimize
- 7:41every piece of content for maximum
- 7:42completion rate. When you do this
- 7:44consistently for 20 or 30 videos,
- 7:47something magical happens. The algorithm
- 7:49stops seeing you as a random experiment.
- 7:50It starts seeing you as a reliable
- 7:52source of engagement for a specific
- 7:54audience. That's when you reach escape
- 7:55velocity. That's when the random spikes
- 7:57become consistent growth. The framework
- 8:00I've given you today isn't about gaming
- 8:02the system. It's about working with how
- 8:04the system actually operates in 2025.
- 8:07Consistent content for consistent
- 8:08audiences optimized for retention with
- 8:11realistic expectations about timing.
- 8:13Okay, I mentioned my 12-week program
- 8:15earlier and I want to tell you about it
- 8:17because it directly addresses everything
- 8:18we've just discussed. This is a complete
- 8:20system covering strategy, tactics, and
- 8:22mindset through weekly sessions. We dive
- 8:24into everything from thumbnails to
- 8:25retention psychology, everything you
- 8:27need to stop spinning your wheels and
- 8:28start seeing real growth. You get direct
- 8:30access to me and our private community
- 8:32for the full 12 weeks. I'm spending all
- 8:34of my free time in that community
- 8:36answering questions, giving feedback on
- 8:37your thumbnails, reviewing analytics,
- 8:38and helping you troubleshoot roadblocks
- 8:40in real time. Plus, guaranteed office
- 8:42hours every Thursday and Sunday, at
- 8:44least 90 minutes each time, where I'm
- 8:46live and available, and you can get
- 8:47immediate feedback instead of spending
- 8:49months trying to figure out why your
- 8:50retention drops at the 2-minute mark.
- 8:52Your chance to join ends September 18th,
- 8:54which means if you're watching this when
- 8:55it first comes out, you only have a
- 8:57little time left to decide. I made the
- 8:59website myself, and you can find all the
- 9:00details there. The investment is $1,750
- 9:03USD and you can split that into payments
- 9:04if that works better for you. Link in
- 9:06the description. You'll give me your
- 9:07email. I'll send you a link for a quick
- 9:09video chat so I can meet you and then
- 9:11make sure that we're a good fit and then
- 9:12we get started. But you need to act fast
- 9:14if this sounds like something that you
- 9:16want to do. We've just explored how
- 9:18YouTube's new algorithm works and the
- 9:20framework you need to succeed with it.
- 9:22But here's the brutal truth. You're
- 9:23still going to fail sometimes. Your next
- 9:26video might flop and then the one after
- 9:28that might too. The difference between
- 9:29creators who make it and those who quit
- 9:31isn't talent or luck. It's one specific
- 9:33skill. Click on this video next where I
- 9:36reveal the only skill you actually need
- 9:37to succeed on YouTube so you can build
- 9:39the mental resilience that separates
- 9:41winners from quitters in this game. The
- 9:43game has changed. That doesn't mean you
- 9:45can't win. You just need to understand
- 9:46the new rules and play accordingly. I'll
- 9:48see you in that video.
