  1. 0:00one of the state's key focuses was the
  2. 0:02the timeline that night and when you got
  3. 0:04up and you went through
  4. 0:07all the things that had would have had
  5. 0:10to have occurred to have not been Alec
  6. 0:12Murdock I thought that was extraordinary
  7. 0:13and I just want to play that for our
  8. 0:14viewers
  9. 0:15so what you're telling this jury is that
  10. 0:18it's a random vigilante
  11. 0:20that just happened to know that Paul and
  12. 0:22Maggie were both at Mozelle on June 7th
  13. 0:25that knew that they would be at the
  14. 0:27kennels alone on June the 7th they knew
  15. 0:29that you would not be there but only
  16. 0:30between the times of 8 49 and 902 that
  17. 0:34they show up without a weapon assuming
  18. 0:36that they're going to find weapons and
  19. 0:37ammunition there that they commit this
  20. 0:39crime during that short time window and
  21. 0:41then they travel the same exact route
  22. 0:43that you do around the same time to
  23. 0:45Almeda
  24. 0:46that's what you're trying to to tell
  25. 0:48this jury
  26. 0:49you got a lot of factors in there Mr
  27. 0:51Waters all of which I do not agree with
  28. 0:54but some of which I do
  29. 0:57it's interesting you know obviously that
  30. 0:58timeline was very crucial evidence and
  31. 1:01uh you know it really tells a story you
  32. 1:04know we have to remember
  33. 1:06hey everybody crab at Cask with you
  34. 1:08today oh good
  35. 1:10okay so let's unpack
  36. 1:14what Anderson Cooper like Anderson
  37. 1:17Cooper but Anderson Cooper and uh
  38. 1:19Creighton Waters just said there
  39. 1:22Craig said a lot there I remember that
  40. 1:24that was a big part of that trial boy he
  41. 1:27was going oh
  42. 1:28let's break it down
  43. 1:30because Alex's response was absolutely
  44. 1:33horrific horrible it made me cringe I
  45. 1:36was like oh good God it was the worst
  46. 1:37possible answer to that
  47. 1:40but I have the answer to that
  48. 1:42you know I'm not understand I'm not in
  49. 1:45the moment
  50. 1:47so let's go through it
  51. 1:51uh yes they knew Paul was that Moselle
  52. 1:54because Paul is as they everybody said a
  53. 1:58heavy user of his phone and on June 7th
  54. 2:01yes he was just in uh Colombia he was at
  55. 2:04the baseball game
  56. 2:06um so the house was empty in Moselle
  57. 2:09hold on to that nugget
  58. 2:11uh June 7th and yes he texted everybody
  59. 2:14he snapped everybody I'm going to
  60. 2:17Moselle I'm going to Mosa I'm going to
  61. 2:20Moselle everybody knew it
  62. 2:23why because Paul's at heavy years of his
  63. 2:25phone got that from his mom got that
  64. 2:28from his dad
  65. 2:29uh and yes
  66. 2:31they knew that they were going to be
  67. 2:32down there because Rogan Gibson had his
  68. 2:34dog down there
  69. 2:36I mean Rogan gives his known as family
  70. 2:37for years friends shot together stayed
  71. 2:41at the cabin together played baseball
  72. 2:43together and he made over 20 calls to
  73. 2:46Paul alone that day about the stupid
  74. 2:48dog's tail when in the video you can see
  75. 2:51there's nothing wrong with the dog's
  76. 2:53tail so yes that and countless others
  77. 2:56they all knew that Paul was going to be
  78. 2:58at Moselle
  79. 3:00and sometime
  80. 3:03at the kennels and what people are
  81. 3:06uh they do things
  82. 3:10all the time the same way it's called a
  83. 3:13habit
  84. 3:14Paul goes down after dinner they eat
  85. 3:17late and they feed the dogs
  86. 3:19they knew that
  87. 3:21why because they knew that because they
  88. 3:24did that
  89. 3:25uh the new Alex would not be down there
  90. 3:27that's not true
  91. 3:29uh those real killers were sitting in
  92. 3:32those woods and they were waiting I'm
  93. 3:33sure they saw Alec down there and uh
  94. 3:36they waited they didn't come out when
  95. 3:38Alec was there because Alex normally
  96. 3:40carries a gun so you're not going to
  97. 3:41come out with a guy who carries a gun
  98. 3:43um
  99. 3:44so besides they didn't come there to
  100. 3:46kill Alec and they didn't come there to
  101. 3:48kill Maggie they came there to kill Paul
  102. 3:50uh probably because Paul was going to
  103. 3:52leverage some information about Stephen
  104. 3:53Smith uh to get out of the boat crash
  105. 3:57uh and or Mallory one or the other or
  106. 4:00both that's why just Paul so they waited
  107. 4:04like Hunters do they sit in the woods
  108. 4:06and they waited and they waited and
  109. 4:07waited
  110. 4:08uh see
  111. 4:10um came there with no weapons no they
  112. 4:12came there with weapons and they came
  113. 4:14there with the family weapons because
  114. 4:16they stole them
  115. 4:18yeah along with murderers they're also
  116. 4:21thieves and they stole them when they
  117. 4:22stole them I can't tell you but I do
  118. 4:24know that the house was empty completely
  119. 4:26empty the weekend before uh the murders
  120. 4:30the whole family was up in Colombia
  121. 4:32watching uh USC baseball
  122. 4:36in the playoffs and everybody knew they
  123. 4:38were gone
  124. 4:38and everybody knows where the guns were
  125. 4:41in The Gun Room at Moselle
  126. 4:43you can tell me they locked the door yes
  127. 4:45they did didn't know where the spare key
  128. 4:47was come on man
  129. 4:49uh
  130. 4:50committed during the short time
  131. 4:52yes they had a short time to do it Alec
  132. 4:55was down there at about 8 44 he left at
  133. 4:588 46 he got back to the house at about 8
  134. 5:0048 8 49 and they were killed at 8 50.
  135. 5:04yeah
  136. 5:05and they sat there and waited after they
  137. 5:07killed him with their guns pointed at
  138. 5:09Mozelle to see if they saw headlights
  139. 5:10coming down no headlights came they went
  140. 5:12and got the pickup truck over at swamp
  141. 5:14Cross Road
  142. 5:15who lives on Swamp Cross Road
  143. 5:19I will tell you maybe another video
  144. 5:21something very important to themselves
  145. 5:23for across the road
  146. 5:26and so then they go get the pickup truck
  147. 5:29that drive in there's two ways out of
  148. 5:31Moselle you can go left to Almeda or
  149. 5:34varnville where you go right to Almeda
  150. 5:37or varnville but now if you're going
  151. 5:39into downtown varnville you're going to
  152. 5:42go right but there's only two ways to go
  153. 5:44and both ways get you there about the
  154. 5:46same time
  155. 5:48so you're going to turn right and go to
  156. 5:50bar and Bill
  157. 5:51I don't know why you know you're going
  158. 5:53to go the same route there's only two
  159. 5:55ways to go
  160. 5:56they had a 50 50 shot
  161. 5:59all right and uh yeah travel the same
  162. 6:02route because
  163. 6:03they had a 50 50 shot I mean come on
  164. 6:07come on some of which I agree with
  165. 6:10Salvage I don't I like that was the
  166. 6:11worst response ever
  167. 6:13hire me as your attorney
  168. 6:15uh even though I'm not one and uh
  169. 6:19you're you're sitting over here paying
  170. 6:23golf with me
  171. 6:24not where you are
  172. 6:26that's what I think about that that
  173. 6:28timeline was very helpful
  174. 6:29if you looked at it the right way crap
  175. 6:32cash Gap
