  1. 0:00so someone in the comments asked me how
  2. 0:02I write and use scripts for my YouTube
  3. 0:04videos so a super short video today
  4. 0:06about scripts now it's nothing special
  5. 0:09that I do but I guess that I've
  6. 0:11developed my own personal techniques and
  7. 0:13tricks first of all I don't use a
  8. 0:15teleprompter now there's nothing wrong
  9. 0:17with using one of course but I don't and
  10. 0:19well I'm used now to recording videos
  11. 0:21without the teleprompter but again
  12. 0:23nothing wrong with using one that's a
  13. 0:25choice you have to make okay and then
  14. 0:28the scripts I do write scripts but how
  15. 0:30do I use them how do I read them well
  16. 0:33when I started my YouTube channel I
  17. 0:35wrote a script for every video like
  18. 0:37every word every sentence I wrote down
  19. 0:39but I never read the script and I also
  20. 0:42wrote everything down like I speak in
  21. 0:44spoken language if that makes sense so
  22. 0:46with all the stop words and the ums and
  23. 0:49the uh and everything yeah and I still
  24. 0:51do it that way and then I always had my
  25. 0:53laptop with the script in front of me I
  26. 0:55memorized a sentence or a few sentences
  27. 0:57and then I reproduced those sentences
  28. 0:59and front of the camera now back then I
  29. 1:02reproduced them exactly like I wrote
  30. 1:04them down literally exactly the same way
  31. 1:07these days usually when I start talking
  32. 1:09it comes out a bit different you know
  33. 1:12because of the moment and I mean in my
  34. 1:15brain
  35. 1:15things change I guess but it's still
  36. 1:17there it's there right now but there was
  37. 1:20one big problem back then with that
  38. 1:21technique and that's that you have the
  39. 1:23whole script in front of you and you
  40. 1:25read and reproduce a few sentences but
  41. 1:27then of course you have to read and
  42. 1:29reproduce the next part and I don't know
  43. 1:32I always felt some kind of pressure
  44. 1:34because even though I think it's okay to
  45. 1:36have jump Cuts I don't want them to be
  46. 1:39too in your face if you know what I mean
  47. 1:41and so whenever I started memorizing the
  48. 1:44next part I always had to think about
  49. 1:46the position of my hands my head where I
  50. 1:48was in the frame so that the jump cut
  51. 1:50wouldn't be too in your face and it gave
  52. 1:52me so much pressure so it wasn't ideal
  53. 1:55it worked but not ideal but okay these
  54. 1:58days I do it differently I made it a bit
  55. 2:00easier on my brain on on the pressure so
  56. 2:04first of all I don't write entire
  57. 2:05scripts anymore for every video if it's
  58. 2:08a I don't know a rant video like last
  59. 2:10video then I just write down keywords
  60. 2:13the topics the things I want to talk
  61. 2:15about I built the content with keywords
  62. 2:18and then usually it becomes a more
  63. 2:20spontaneous video you know because your
  64. 2:23brain does things and well yeah you know
  65. 2:25how it goes but if it's a very specific
  66. 2:27topic a very technical topic for example
  67. 2:30then I still write down every single
  68. 2:32sentence in spoken language of course
  69. 2:34and that's because yeah I'm not a native
  70. 2:37English speaker so those difficult words
  71. 2:40technical words they don't come to me
  72. 2:42that fast and so I don't want to like
  73. 2:44start thinking when I'm recording the
  74. 2:46video so I want to write down everything
  75. 2:48first before I start recording the video
  76. 2:50then it's also already you know in my
  77. 2:53head like the difficult words so I write
  78. 2:55down every sentence like I did when I
  79. 2:57started my channel but and this is the
  80. 3:00difference I write everything down with
  81. 3:02the b-roll already in mind so when the
  82. 3:05script is finished I highlight the parts
  83. 3:07where I'm gonna put b-roll usually in
  84. 3:09yellow and so yeah when I'm sitting here
  85. 3:11the script is right there I can memorize
  86. 3:14a part I read what I need to say what I
  87. 3:18want to reproduce and like I said most
  88. 3:20of the time I don't reproduce it exactly
  89. 3:22as I wrote it down but close enough but
  90. 3:25now there's none of that pressure
  91. 3:26because I know that I can memorize a
  92. 3:29small part and then there's going to be
  93. 3:30b-roll and you know sometimes I can do
  94. 3:33an entire part until the b-roll in one
  95. 3:36go no jump Cuts or nothing and then when
  96. 3:38there's b-roll you don't see me so it
  97. 3:40doesn't matter if there is any jump Cuts
  98. 3:42or anything and then next is another
  99. 3:43small part until the next b-roll and
  100. 3:46that's how I record the video and it
  101. 3:49takes away a lot of that pressure
  102. 3:50because there's not like an entire blank
  103. 3:53white script it's filled with yellow
  104. 3:55parts and those yellow Parts they peace
  105. 3:59of mind yeah that's how I write and use
  106. 4:01scripts these days for my YouTube videos
  107. 4:03I hope it helps thank you so much for
  108. 4:05watching and see you in the next one
