  1. 0:00Right now, you're probably doing your
  2. 0:01own SEO one prompt at a time. You open
  3. 0:04Claude, you paste a prompt for keyword
  4. 0:06research, another one for the content,
  5. 0:08another one for the metadata, starting
  6. 0:10from scratch every single time. [music]
  7. 0:12That's the slow way and why most
  8. 0:14people's AI SEO comes out inconsistent.
  9. 0:17And here's the thing, you don't need
  10. 0:18better prompts, you need skills. A
  11. 0:21Claude skill is a reusable instruction
  12. 0:24Claude runs perfectly every single time.
  13. 0:26So, instead of re-explaining yourself
  14. 0:28every time, you say the keyword and it
  15. 0:30executes. And I'm going to show you five
  16. 0:31skills that together do almost my entire
  17. 0:33SEO. The research, the content, the
  18. 0:35on-page, the internal [music] linking,
  19. 0:37and the AI visibility. And it's part of
  20. 0:38the exact setup that ranks my websites
  21. 0:41number one and gets me cited on things
  22. 0:42like GPT search and Google AI overviews.
  23. 0:45So, in this video, I'm going to show you
  24. 0:46exactly what these five skills are and
  25. 0:48how each one of these works. So, you can
  26. 0:50build them yourself and run your SEO
  27. 0:52like a system instead of a guessing
  28. 0:54game. Let's get to it. Before we get to
  29. 0:55the skills, we need to make sure we set
  30. 0:57this up correctly. Now, for this
  31. 0:59tutorial, I am using the Claude desktop
  32. 1:01application. I recommend you do the
  33. 1:02same. And before we even begin to play
  34. 1:04around with the skills, we need to
  35. 1:06connect Claude to real, high-quality,
  36. 1:09live SEO data. Because without it,
  37. 1:11Claude is just guessing. It might be a
  38. 1:13good guess, mind you, but because it
  39. 1:15doesn't have natively access to things
  40. 1:17like keyword research data, backlink
  41. 1:19data, and a lot of these things that we
  42. 1:21need for SEO, without this connection,
  43. 1:23nothing's really going to work
  44. 1:24correctly. But thankfully, that is a
  45. 1:26very, very easy fix and it's [music]
  46. 1:27very cost-effective. The way we're going
  47. 1:29to connect or at least I recommend you
  48. 1:31connect Claude to real live SEO data is
  49. 1:33using a thing called Data for SEO. Now,
  50. 1:36this is very much like Ahrefs, SEMrush,
  51. 1:38and the other main big SEO tools, except
  52. 1:41they just give you the data. And it's
  53. 1:43also just a pay-as-you-go type of
  54. 1:45software. So, if you don't use it, you
  55. 1:47don't pay for it. You get a dollar free
  56. 1:49credit when you sign up with a link
  57. 1:50below, and trust me, a dollar goes a
  58. 1:52very long way. And again, because it's
  59. 1:54pay-as-you-go, if you don't use it, you
  60. 1:56don't pay for it. You don't have worry
  61. 1:57about it. Yet another subscription
  62. 1:58piling up. So you going to make a free
  63. 2:00account and once you make a free
  64. 2:01account, you should see a dollar up here
  65. 2:04as balance. With that, I need you to go
  66. 2:06back to your Claude desktop application
  67. 2:08and you can be in home or in code. It
  68. 2:10doesn't really matter which tab you
  69. 2:11choose. For this instance, I'm going to
  70. 2:12choose home. I'm going to go to
  71. 2:14customize. We want to go to the
  72. 2:17connectors. [music]
  73. 2:18In the connectors, we want to add a
  74. 2:20custom connector.
  75. 2:22You want to name this DFS data for SEO.
  76. 2:25I'm going to need a MCP as well. You're
  77. 2:27going to paste this URL in there. Don't
  78. 2:30worry, I'll leave this for you below so
  79. 2:31you can copy it right away. I'm going to
  80. 2:33add it.
  81. 2:34And then it'll ask you to connect it,
  82. 2:37right? So we know we've connected to the
  83. 2:39data for SEO MCP. We need to connect it.
  84. 2:41If you signed in to your data for SEO
  85. 2:43free account already, it should pop up
  86. 2:46with a little message here. It should
  87. 2:48look like this. All you got to do is
  88. 2:49approve. And now what we've just done is
  89. 2:53given Claude code access to all the
  90. 2:56correct, high-quality SEO data it needs.
  91. 2:59Now, before you continue, what I do
  92. 3:01recommend [music] is for the need
  93. 3:03approval, you allow all. That way it's
  94. 3:05not continuously asking if it can access
  95. 3:07this call of data for SEO and that call
  96. 3:09and it just slows down your work. With
  97. 3:11that done, you are ready to go. You have
  98. 3:13actually the most powerful SEO tool
  99. 3:15inside Claude as well.
  100. 3:17>> [music]
  101. 3:17>> Now, I would recommend you start a
  102. 3:19folder or project for the website that
  103. 3:21you're working on. I'm going to create a
  104. 3:23new project here. I'm going to name it
  105. 3:25AI ranking school, for example, and I'm
  106. 3:28going to create the project here. This
  107. 3:29just allows me to keep everything
  108. 3:31organized and we're going to add all the
  109. 3:32context needed for this [music] project.
  110. 3:34With that done, let's start installing
  111. 3:36the skills. Now, I'm going to leave a
  112. 3:38link for you in the video description
  113. 3:39below of the zip folders containing all
  114. 3:42the skills that I'm using. When you
  115. 3:43download the files, you'll see that
  116. 3:45there'll be actually six zip files and
  117. 3:47whilst I only mentioned five skills, the
  118. 3:50first one that we're actually going to
  119. 3:51use the site brief builder is going to
  120. 3:54allow Claude to get all the context from
  121. 3:57the website that you're doing work on.
  122. 4:00This together with the high-quality SEO
  123. 4:01data are going to make these skills
  124. 4:03extremely useful because it's going to
  125. 4:05have context and information about the
  126. 4:07business that you're doing SEO for. That
  127. 4:09is very, very important for you to get
  128. 4:10right. So, what you need to do is
  129. 4:12download and install all these skills
  130. 4:14within your desktop application. It's
  131. 4:16very easy to do so. All you got to do is
  132. 4:18go to customize, go to skills, and we're
  133. 4:21going to add a skill, and you can upload
  134. 4:23skills.
  135. 4:24>> [music]
  136. 4:25>> And I'm just going to one by one drop
  137. 4:27every single one of these skills here.
  138. 4:28So, I'm going to go to the site brief
  139. 4:30builder. Perfect. And I'm going to
  140. 4:33repeat that until I add all the five or
  141. 4:36six skills, I should say, rather.
  142. 4:38>> [music]
  143. 4:38>> Uh but I'm only counting five because,
  144. 4:40you know, one of them is just a setup.
  145. 4:42Okay. Now, I've uploaded all these six
  146. 4:44skills. Again, only five of them we're
  147. 4:46going to run on a regular basis. The
  148. 4:48first one, the site brief builder, is to
  149. 4:51get all the information ready. So, with
  150. 4:53all those things done, in the folder
  151. 4:54that you just started, we want to run
  152. 4:56the first skill. And I'm going to use
  153. 4:58the prompt, uh use the site brief
  154. 5:01builder on this website here. You can
  155. 5:03use Opus or Fable, whatever you really
  156. 5:05want. I'm going to hit enter. This is
  157. 5:08going to take a little while and it must
  158. 5:09it might ask you questions about the
  159. 5:11business that perhaps it can't get just
  160. 5:13by scraping the website. And the more
  161. 5:16context and information you give it, the
  162. 5:18better the output will be with all the
  163. 5:19skills that we're going to use now. And
  164. 5:21here, for example, it's asking me a few
  165. 5:23more questions, which country and
  166. 5:24language should every skill use for the
  167. 5:26search volume data. My business is
  168. 5:28fairly international, so I'm just going
  169. 5:29to go worldwide English.
  170. 5:31Um but obviously, this will change for
  171. 5:32you. You want to answer all the
  172. 5:33questions, and then we should get an MD
  173. 5:35output. And hopefully, you should get an
  174. 5:36MD file with a site brief MD that has
  175. 5:39all the information about the business.
  176. 5:41I recommend you read it to make sure
  177. 5:42that it's correct. And if you want to
  178. 5:44make sure that it has
  179. 5:45>> [music]
  180. 5:45>> more information, well, you tell it so.
  181. 5:47This is really important and a key part
  182. 5:49of this whole thing. Now, let's get into
  183. 5:51the first skill, which is the keyword
  184. 5:53research skill, something that a lot of
  185. 5:55people get wrong because they
  186. 5:56instinctively think that we need the
  187. 5:58keyword with the highest search volume,
  188. 6:00which is very wrong. You want the right
  189. 6:02keyword for your business. And because
  190. 6:05now this group that we're in has all the
  191. 6:08business information in it, all we got
  192. 6:09to do is pick the right keyword here.
  193. 6:11For example, it even gives me and tells
  194. 6:14you which to run. So, run the keyword
  195. 6:16fan out map with this hit keyword or
  196. 6:18just AI SEO. [music] Here, you can
  197. 6:21decide which keyword you want to
  198. 6:22research on, but I will run the map
  199. 6:25feature.
  200. 6:25>> [music]
  201. 6:27>> And I'm going to run it on
  202. 6:30GEO strategies, for example, or
  203. 6:32generative engine optimization. I'm
  204. 6:34going to hit enter. And this is where
  205. 6:36the magic is going to happen because it
  206. 6:38has the context of the business and now
  207. 6:40it's going to start calling data for
  208. 6:42SEO. And we should see that in a few of
  209. 6:44the
  210. 6:46elements here. It's finding the right
  211. 6:48tools and it's going to start using data
  212. 6:49for SEO. And this is the difference now.
  213. 6:51See, it's calling the data for SEO labs,
  214. 6:54so you can be assured now that your
  215. 6:55Claude isn't simply guessing which
  216. 6:57keyword is right for your business, so
  217. 6:58it knows the exact one now. After a
  218. 7:01couple of minutes, not only did we get
  219. 7:02some extensive research, we have a
  220. 7:04complete HTML dashboard that we can have
  221. 7:06a look, so we can make sense of the
  222. 7:08research that it did. I find it a much
  223. 7:10nicer way than just reading a dirty old
  224. 7:12CSV file, but we also do have the CSV
  225. 7:16file within this project so that now
  226. 7:18Claude can access it should it need to.
  227. 7:20I've got here, for example, the keyword
  228. 7:22generative engine optimization. It's got
  229. 7:24a healthy search volume. What is
  230. 7:26generative engine optimization and a
  231. 7:27bunch uh of things that it's clustered
  232. 7:30in. So, here it's created the clusters
  233. 7:32into
  234. 7:33GEO core, how GEO works, uh ranking GBT,
  235. 7:38and a bunch of cores that might make a
  236. 7:41really good keyword research plan and
  237. 7:43then a content plan. It's done the fan
  238. 7:45out queries to answer as well. These are
  239. 7:48just within the AI search engines. I've
  240. 7:50done a detailed video about what fan out
  241. 7:52queries are. If you want to really know
  242. 7:54how to rank in the AI search engines, I
  243. 7:56recommend you understand what these are,
  244. 7:58but I won't go through it now. But you
  245. 7:59can see here I've got a really decent
  246. 8:01keyword research document as well. And
  247. 8:04I've built most of these skills, so they
  248. 8:07kind of hand off one task to the other.
  249. 8:09You can see here it's telling me to run
  250. 8:10the SEO content writer. So let's just
  251. 8:13run that without any other prompting
  252. 8:15here. I'm going to say
  253. 8:19run this one.
  254. 8:21Uh run, please, the SEO content writer.
  255. 8:25And I'm going to hit [music] enter. Now,
  256. 8:26here's where it's going to ask you a few
  257. 8:28questions back and forth because part of
  258. 8:30the way that we're going to write
  259. 8:31high-quality content
  260. 8:33is a few things. Write in a content
  261. 8:35capsule technique, make sure that you
  262. 8:36back up your statements, and a few other
  263. 8:38things that the skill is instructed to
  264. 8:40do so already. You don't really need to
  265. 8:41worry about that too much. But one thing
  266. 8:44that it can't automatically do is
  267. 8:46generate your experience. So the
  268. 8:47questions that it's going to be asking
  269. 8:49you, it's going to ask you the right
  270. 8:51questions so that it can inject your
  271. 8:54experience into the blog content. And
  272. 8:56this is going to ensure that your blog
  273. 8:58is high quality and it's not just
  274. 8:59regurgitated AI slop. So
  275. 9:02it's going to ask you here for what type
  276. 9:04of page this is, blog, informational, or
  277. 9:06service product. I'm going to just going
  278. 9:07to say blog post. And here are the
  279. 9:09questions that it should start asking
  280. 9:10you. Obviously it's going to change
  281. 9:11drastically depending on what you're
  282. 9:13writing about.
  283. 9:14So I'm going to take a second here and
  284. 9:15answer all these questions and then
  285. 9:16let's have a look at the output. [music]
  286. 9:18And after a couple of minutes I'm just
  287. 9:19going to open this up so you can see
  288. 9:21how good this is. So it tells you a lot
  289. 9:23about what it just wrote. I've got the
  290. 9:25word count, the sources cited, the
  291. 9:28answer capsule technique, and a bunch of
  292. 9:30different things here, the package, the
  293. 9:32heading structure that it decided, the
  294. 9:33sources cited, which is really important
  295. 9:35from an SEO perspective that you cite
  296. 9:38your sources when you say something that
  297. 9:40needs it.
  298. 9:40>> [music]
  299. 9:41>> I've got the schema markup. And here
  300. 9:43I've got the complete overview, right?
  301. 9:45I've got a too long, didn't read
  302. 9:46section. Uh and then I've got the blog
  303. 9:48itself. What is generative engine
  304. 9:50optimization? It's linking to the
  305. 9:51correct sources. So, if I click on that,
  306. 9:53it's going to open the link to the right
  307. 9:55source. I can see here, and it's a
  308. 9:57high-quality source again.
  309. 9:58>> [music]
  310. 9:58>> Um and it's written the whole thing in a
  311. 10:00way that I think looks quite nice. You
  312. 10:02can then, you know, copy this whole
  313. 10:03thing. I can copy in to an MD file. If I
  314. 10:06want to, I can just copy the entire
  315. 10:08thing [music] like this, right? Now,
  316. 10:11it depends if it's going to be perfect
  317. 10:13or not. What I recommend you do is you
  318. 10:14go through it, make sure that it's
  319. 10:16actually copied your tone of voice, and
  320. 10:17you like it. And you can amend that
  321. 10:19skill, the copywriting skill, to meet
  322. 10:21your needs, but make sure that it
  323. 10:23follows the same structure that I've
  324. 10:25provided. It's going to allow you the
  325. 10:26highest possibility to get cited and
  326. 10:28rank in the AI overviews. The next skill
  327. 10:30is going to be the on-page optimizer.
  328. 10:32And the reason why this skill is so
  329. 10:34powerful is because most on-page
  330. 10:37checklist are just generic checklists.
  331. 10:39They don't really mold to meet the needs
  332. 10:42of the page at hand. So, this will
  333. 10:45change depending if the page is a
  334. 10:46content, like a blog post, or if it's a
  335. 10:48service page.
  336. 10:49>> [music]
  337. 10:49>> And it will identify the fixes that you
  338. 10:52need to make to that page. So, for
  339. 10:54example, for now, I'm going to ask it uh
  340. 10:56can you please run the on-
  341. 11:01page optimizer
  342. 11:06on And I'm going to do it to on this
  343. 11:08blog that I've written recently to see
  344. 11:10if I'm missing anything there. I'm going
  345. 11:12to paste the blog post there. Now, the
  346. 11:14output is going to change drastically
  347. 11:15depending if it's a service or a product
  348. 11:17page or a blog post because the
  349. 11:19optimization then obviously needs to
  350. 11:21change accordingly. But at the end,
  351. 11:23we'll still get a nice report and a bit
  352. 11:26of a instruction on what to do to
  353. 11:27improve the on-site SEO of that page.
  354. 11:30[music] So, whilst the on-page optimizer
  355. 11:32runs on that blog post, I want to show
  356. 11:33you which pages you should be running
  357. 11:36this on a frequent basis. You want to go
  358. 11:38to your Google Search [music] Console.
  359. 11:40If you don't have this set up, I highly
  360. 11:41recommend that you do. You want to go to
  361. 11:43pages, and you want to go here and find
  362. 11:46if you've got the message here, uh
  363. 11:48[music] crawled currently not indexed.
  364. 11:50Most websites will have this, and this
  365. 11:52is Google's passive-aggressive way of
  366. 11:53saying, "I read your blog post, or I
  367. 11:55read your page, I just don't like it.
  368. 11:56You need to improve it." And you want to
  369. 11:58pick one of these two a week to run
  370. 12:00through that skill. Make sure you follow
  371. 12:03the instructions that the output of the
  372. 12:05skill tells us, and then you resubmit it
  373. 12:07because you have improved it.
  374. 12:09Essentially, you're telling Google,
  375. 12:10"Hey, I did my work. I improved the
  376. 12:11content. Can you take a look at it now,
  377. 12:13please?" And once again, let's have a
  378. 12:15look at this beautiful output. Um
  379. 12:17>> [music]
  380. 12:17>> a good page with one expensive gap.
  381. 12:19Let's see what it's told us here. So,
  382. 12:21it's here, it's saying it's missing the
  383. 12:23schema. We could We need to claim more
  384. 12:26the sources that we've stated. Uh and we
  385. 12:30even need to do a little bit more
  386. 12:31content capsule technique. And here, it
  387. 12:33even tells you exactly the steps that
  388. 12:34you need to do in order.
  389. 12:37Like I said, all you got to do is maybe
  390. 12:39once a week go through the pages that I
  391. 12:41told you before where to find in that
  392. 12:43crawled [music] currently not indexed
  393. 12:45section, and you just do the exact
  394. 12:46instructions that this is telling you,
  395. 12:48and you will get those pages indexed,
  396. 12:50start getting a lot more traffic, and
  397. 12:52[music] traffic from the AI search
  398. 12:53engines as a result. Skill number four
  399. 12:55is the internal link architect. So many
  400. 12:58people completely forget about this, and
  401. 13:00it's one of the kind of easiest things
  402. 13:02to do to improve not only your internal
  403. 13:04linking, your internal navigation, but
  404. 13:06also your SEO. If you correctly
  405. 13:09internally link your website, you make
  406. 13:11your website more crawlable and easy to
  407. 13:13understand not only from the user, but
  408. 13:16from a AI search [music] engine
  409. 13:17perspective. Because if you post a blog
  410. 13:19post without any internal links to the
  411. 13:22correct sections of your website, it's a
  412. 13:24little bit like having a room inside a
  413. 13:26house without doors anywhere. It's just
  414. 13:29an empty room that you can't go in and
  415. 13:31out of. If [music] this weird metaphor
  416. 13:32makes sense, make sure you run the
  417. 13:34internal link architect. So, I can say
  418. 13:36something like, "Please run
  419. 13:39run the
  420. 13:41internal link architect on that blog
  421. 13:43post as well."
  422. 13:49And
  423. 13:49>> [music]
  424. 13:50>> after a while, we should have another
  425. 13:51report. And again, we get a nice report
  426. 13:53detailing where we're missing things,
  427. 13:55right? Linked everywhere and nowhere.
  428. 13:57So, it's telling us
  429. 13:58where the internal link should be should
  430. 14:00go to. It understood the other relevant
  431. 14:02pages on my website and suggested, "This
  432. 14:05is where you should link to, and this is
  433. 14:07the anchor text you should [music] link
  434. 14:09from this blog post to that page." This
  435. 14:12allows better internal navigation. This
  436. 14:14allows the spread of your link authority
  437. 14:16to your website, and just overall is
  438. 14:18going to be a lot more better
  439. 14:20>> [music]
  440. 14:20>> for your SEO.
  441. 14:22Something very simple but very
  442. 14:23effective. The final probably be the
  443. 14:25most important skill is the AI
  444. 14:27visibility checker. Ranking on Google
  445. 14:29and being cited by the AI search
  446. 14:31engines, things like GPT search and
  447. 14:33Google AI overviews, are different
  448. 14:34outcomes, have different causes, and
  449. 14:36therefore have different problems.
  450. 14:38[music] But, we need to understand how
  451. 14:39to measure it so that we can fix it. If
  452. 14:42you can't measure it, then you kind of
  453. 14:43going in blind. But, because we've
  454. 14:45connected your Claude to Data for SEO,
  455. 14:48who have the data about your AI search
  456. 14:50visibility, data about your website, it
  457. 14:53kind of solves all of that. So, if we
  458. 14:55run this, for example, I'm going to say,
  459. 14:57"AI visibility checker, please run it on
  460. 15:00the website
  461. 15:05airankingschool.com."
  462. 15:08Now, I must say a couple of things here
  463. 15:11because this data is very new, meaning
  464. 15:13the data of you getting cited on the AI
  465. 15:15search engines. At the moment, it's only
  466. 15:17going to filter through the websites and
  467. 15:19the AI search engines that are ranking
  468. 15:21in the United States in English. So, if
  469. 15:23your website falls outside of those two
  470. 15:26data sets, then you won't have any data
  471. 15:28in the AI optimization large language
  472. 15:31model [music] mentions here that we are
  473. 15:33visiting right now. You can see here
  474. 15:35that it's only in English and in the
  475. 15:36United [music] States. I'd still
  476. 15:38recommend you run it anyway. It's only
  477. 15:40going to be a matter of time before data
  478. 15:42for SEO add the large language model
  479. 15:45citations and mentions on a lot more
  480. 15:47part of the world and in different
  481. 15:48languages. And again, the same as the
  482. 15:50other skills. After a couple of minutes,
  483. 15:51I have a report here. I'm cited seven
  484. 15:54times
  485. 15:55>> [music]
  486. 15:55>> for this website. If we take a look
  487. 15:57here, one retrieval without citation,
  488. 15:59ChatGPT.
  489. 16:00>> [music]
  490. 16:01>> Perfect. So, it gives me the citations
  491. 16:02by the search engines. So, here,
  492. 16:05for example, within the Google AI
  493. 16:06overviews, I've got seven queries that
  494. 16:08that website is being cited for. One
  495. 16:11within ChatGPT and none for Perplexity
  496. 16:13or [music]
  497. 16:14Claude. Now, the data within my Google
  498. 16:17Analytics says certain different things
  499. 16:19cuz I am getting traffic from Google
  500. 16:21Analytics for site. So, obviously, take
  501. 16:23this data with a bit of a grain of salt.
  502. 16:25It gives me my competitors,
  503. 16:27>> [music]
  504. 16:27>> uh the gap list, and a bit of an
  505. 16:28understanding of what I need to do if I
  506. 16:30do want to get cited in the AI
  507. 16:32overviews.
  508. 16:33So, here's the queries that I already
  509. 16:35own, meaning the ones that I'm already
  510. 16:36getting cited for. GPT personalities, um
  511. 16:39best GPT personality, what is GPT 5.4,
  512. 16:43and a few other things here as well.
  513. 16:44[music]
  514. 16:46If you run this report a month later
  515. 16:47after doing the work that the other
  516. 16:49previous four skills have instructed you
  517. 16:51to do so, ideally, you have more
  518. 16:53citations by the end of that month. Hope
  519. 16:55you found that helpful. Again, I'll
  520. 16:56leave the link to the downloadable
  521. 16:59skills in the resources below. It'll be
  522. 17:00available in our free AI ranking
  523. 17:02community. And just make sure that you
  524. 17:04put a little bit of effort in
  525. 17:05understanding that you need to provide
  526. 17:06as much context as possible. Google and
  527. 17:08all the other AI search engines are not
  528. 17:10going to penalize for writing with AI.
  529. 17:13What they are going to penalize you for
  530. 17:14is for writing bad [music] quality
  531. 17:16content. And that is without you really
  532. 17:18putting any effort into it. That's the
  533. 17:19one thing you really got to remember out
  534. 17:21of this whole thing. Thanks for
  535. 17:22watching. I'll catch you in the next
  536. 17:23one.
