How I Made $8,840 Trading NQ Overnight (My Swing Trade Strategy) — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00All right, guys. So, today I'm bringing
- 0:01you guys a trade recap of how I made
- 0:03$9,000 overnight. This is a trade that I
- 0:05ended up holding as a swing position.
- 0:07And I've actually done this for the past
- 0:08three Sundays in a row. Whereas we open,
- 0:10we have a new week opening gap. How I'm
- 0:12actually executing. Last Sunday, I made
- 0:14around $11,000 doing this. This Sunday,
- 0:16I made $9,000. So, make sure you guys
- 0:18follow along and make sure you guys are
- 0:19able to do this, too, because it's very
- 0:21easy and it's worked pretty much for the
- 0:23last four times I've did it, it's worked
- 0:24three times. So, the win rate on is
- 0:26pretty good. Make sure you guys are
- 0:27following along. And then I'm also going
- 0:28to be going over the news that we have
- 0:30later this week and how you guys can end
- 0:32up passing some accounts during that. So
- 0:34I'm going to go over a few things, but
- 0:35here we go nonetheless. So if we hop
- 0:38right in, you guys can see the
- 0:40executions that I have right here. This
- 0:42is on my live account live. You guys can
- 0:44see at the bottom. And then if we go to
- 0:45the P&L, just under $9,000 8,825.
- 0:49Now that we got that out of the way, you
- 0:50guys can see right here my execution. I
- 0:54will say I could have done better with
- 0:55my entry, but if we go ahead, let's take
- 0:58off these uh labels so the chart looks a
- 1:01little bit cleaner. And then I want to
- 1:02get into actually where I get entered
- 1:04and then how I'm doing this um and how I
- 1:06did it last Sunday as well. So I want to
- 1:08go to the five-minute chart. And if we
- 1:11look at the five-minute chart, um that
- 1:13was not today. So if we go to the
- 1:15five-minute chart, my entry, I was kind
- 1:18of anticipating us using this candle as
- 1:21an order block. So my entry was around
- 1:23this 22 uh5 area. Um and so my entry was
- 1:29basically my my idea behind it was
- 1:32looking at this wick right here. I saw
- 1:34this candle's wick.
- 1:36I saw this candle's wick and I was
- 1:38anticipating that we would go around the
- 1:3950% of the candle's wick which we ended
- 1:41up going into it not going to completely
- 1:4450% but we go end up going into this
- 1:45candle's wick and getting some pretty
- 1:47instant reactions off of that. And so I
- 1:48was anticipating this being an order
- 1:50block. Now, obviously, we did not end up
- 1:52getting that. So, I could have been a
- 1:53little bit more patient with my entry,
- 1:54but my uh take-profit was the new week
- 1:58opening gap. So, you guys can see every
- 2:00single Monday. So, or every single
- 2:01Friday when the when the market closes
- 2:03and then when the market opens on
- 2:05Sunday, that following Sunday, typically
- 2:08you have this gap because even though
- 2:09the market's closed for like futures
- 2:11traders and stuff, like investors in the
- 2:13S&P and the NASDAQ and all that, they're
- 2:14still putting money in during the
- 2:16weekend, right? So, the market does move
- 2:18over the weekend. It's just not
- 2:20tradable. So, typically when that
- 2:22happens and the market moves, you will
- 2:23see things like this where we have a
- 2:25gap. This is what we call a new week
- 2:26opening gap. And how this works is
- 2:29pretty much every single time we get one
- 2:31of these, we end up filling it either
- 2:33that day or that night or somewhere
- 2:36during the week, but most of the time
- 2:38I've seen us close this gap within the
- 2:41day. So, my idea behind this trade was,
- 2:44okay, we ended up opening this is at
- 2:466:00 a.m. or 6 p.m. open for for Asia
- 2:48market. Then we end up making these
- 2:50highs. I was pretty like, okay, I'm just
- 2:51going to sit out for a second. And then
- 2:52the moment I see this trending down, I'm
- 2:54looking for an opportunity to go ahead
- 2:55and take a trade to this new week
- 2:57opening gap. So after I see this for
- 2:59value gap get inverse right here. This
- 3:01is something that I saw happening on a
- 3:03higher time frame. Now even if even if
- 3:05on the shorter time frames we did want
- 3:07to chop up a little bit like I did, you
- 3:08guys can see when I entered, I actually
- 3:10did have to sit in a little bit of draw
- 3:11down for a while before I ended up
- 3:12seeing my take profit hit. But because I
- 3:14was so confident in my draw and how the
- 3:15new week opening gap was going to play
- 3:17out, I was I was very easily like able
- 3:19to sit in this trade with pretty much no
- 3:21worries even though I was in draw down.
- 3:23Um this is probably around like four
- 3:24three or $4,000 of draw down. Um and
- 3:27obviously, you know, it is what it is.
- 3:29But that just means that I was that
- 3:31confident in my draw to where I was able
- 3:33and like comfortable to send that much
- 3:35draw down. Now I want to talk about my
- 3:36stop loss. So, if we go over here, the
- 3:39reason why I put my stop loss here, if
- 3:40we go to the 15-minute, we have this
- 3:4215-minute gap that should be protecting
- 3:43us. So, that is why my stop loss there.
- 3:45Again, I'm logically justifying
- 3:46everything that I'm doing. My entry was
- 3:49probably the most mediocre of the entire
- 3:50setup, but my stop loss logically
- 3:52justified. This fair value gap should be
- 3:54protecting us there. We should come up
- 3:56here and we came close. Didn't end up
- 3:57quite having it, but we would have been
- 3:59protected. And then my takerit logically
- 4:02justified as well. We have this new week
- 4:03opening gap. uh anytime inside of this
- 4:05new week opening gap, you can see that
- 4:06where there's definitely um chance for
- 4:09reversals. Typically, we do like fully
- 4:10fill it. That does happen. Um like most
- 4:13of the time, but just in case we want to
- 4:16go ahead and reject a little bit and
- 4:18even if we don't end up fully closing
- 4:19it, I don't want to be caught in any
- 4:20draw down or get break even. So, I have
- 4:22my take profit right there. Again, I'm
- 4:23logically justifying everything that I'm
- 4:25doing. And then, if we go ahead and exit
- 4:27the replay, we can see how the trade
- 4:29played out. Obviously, it trade out
- 4:30beautifully and this is a trade that I'm
- 4:33pretty much confident in taking like 10
- 4:35times out of 10. Again, if we go over to
- 4:38last uh Monday
- 4:41um or last
- 4:44Yeah, it should be this Monday. Um I
- 4:46remember No, it would be
- 4:49this day.
- 4:52I believe it was this day. Um,
- 4:56but if we go over to this Yeah. No, it
- 5:00was definitely this day. So, if we go
- 5:02over to this Sunday right here, we see
- 5:05if we wait for the open. So, this is
- 5:07Friday. And then when we open,
- 5:10we have this new week opening gap. And
- 5:12so, this is a trade that I also ended up
- 5:14taking last Friday. If we go over here,
- 5:16you can see the candles play out. And
- 5:17then the second we get a chance to go
- 5:19long, you'll see eventually right here.
- 5:21At this point, I think I took an entry
- 5:22around here. um or maybe it was down. I
- 5:25don't remember. I think it was like
- 5:26right around here. But it was literally
- 5:28just to fill the new week opening gap.
- 5:29And you guys can see how well this works
- 5:30out because last time when we did fill
- 5:32this new week opening gap, we completely
- 5:35we completely sold off. If I do
- 5:37something like this, I can guarantee
- 5:39that this like hits, bro. Like the new
- 5:41week opening gap works so well. And you
- 5:44can see how strong of a draw it is by
- 5:46how easily we can take a trade off of
- 5:48it. So, I want to go ahead and I want to
- 5:50do a uh I want to do a bearish trade
- 5:53after we fill this new week opening gap
- 5:54because this is something that we ended
- 5:55up hitting. And then right there, you
- 5:58can see, bang, after we fill that, the
- 6:02market switches up and we end up going
- 6:04down. This is after we fill the new week
- 6:05opening gap. This happens all the time.
- 6:07If this happens next Sunday, which I'm
- 6:09pretty sure it will, you guys should
- 6:10100% be taking advantage of new week
- 6:12opening gas because it is such a strong
- 6:14draw. I'm so confident in these kinds of
- 6:16trades and it works out so well. Um, and
- 6:18then another thing I wanted to talk
- 6:20about is if we go over here to Forex uh
- 6:23or calendar for uh news and stuff like
- 6:26that, we can go ahead and see on Friday
- 6:29we have CPI. What that means is it's
- 6:32going to be very high impact news. This
- 6:34is perfect for passing accounts. If you
- 6:36guys are trying to pass accounts easily,
- 6:37the easiest way to do it, this is how I
- 6:39pass nine nine like nine times out of 10
- 6:41if I'm passing an account, it's probably
- 6:42during some news like this and it's very
- 6:44easy to do. I'm going to show you guys
- 6:45how to do it as well and then obviously
- 6:46the best firms to do that with right
- 6:48now. Um, so when we have news like that,
- 6:51it is very very easy to end up passing
- 6:53it because the news comes out so
- 6:55volatile. So what I do is let's say for
- 6:58example if the news is coming out I'll
- 7:02do it on an example like this. So if the
- 7:05news is coming out in I don't know let's
- 7:07say like a minute or so and this is
- 7:09where market's currently at you put your
- 7:12buy stop. So you go around 20. Um I
- 7:17would go probably even a little bit more
- 7:18than that. Some people say 25 points is
- 7:20a sweet spot. Um I can see that being
- 7:23the case. I think 25 points is pretty
- 7:25strong. A lot of people end up doing
- 7:26that. So if they go 25 points and then
- 7:28so what they will do is they will do
- 7:30that in the same opposite direction. So
- 7:3125 points for where price currently is.
- 7:34They will end up going okay 25 points is
- 7:36right here. So let me mark this out. And
- 7:40then they would end up putting buy stops
- 7:42in this area. So they put a buy stop
- 7:44here. And so what that means is if the
- 7:46price comes down here, you will get
- 7:48entered here and it will play for
- 7:50continuations. Your profit will be like
- 7:51this. So whatever amount the account
- 7:53that is that you're trying to pass most
- 7:55of you guys, it's going to be 3,000.
- 7:57You're going to go put your buy stops 25
- 7:58points away from price currently is in
- 8:00the bearish manner and you're going to
- 8:02put your takeprofit around 3,000. That
- 8:03way when the news comes down, if it
- 8:06flushes, you are hitting your takeprofit
- 8:08and you're passing that account. In the
- 8:09same way, if we do 25 points right here,
- 8:1325. Okay, that's 302.25.
- 8:17We can go ahead.
- 8:19Bang. And then obviously, we're not
- 8:21doing any stop-loss because this is news
- 8:23passing. You put your takeprofit or you
- 8:25put your buy stop right here. And then
- 8:29your TP where $3,000 would be to pass
- 8:31the account. Sorry, my camera's in the
- 8:32way. Your TP would be right around here,
- 8:34and you'd be able to pass this account
- 8:36relatively easily again. So, in this
- 8:38case, when you're doing buy stops like
- 8:40this, and then you're doing a sell stop
- 8:41like this, what happens is whatever the
- 8:44account is to pass, like we're putting
- 8:463,000 for this. Either way, whichever
- 8:48way the news goes in, you are passing
- 8:50your account. Whether it goes up or
- 8:52down, whether the news flushes or like
- 8:55goes straight up, you are passing your
- 8:57account every single time. The reason
- 8:58why we put it 25 points away is because
- 9:00sometimes when the news opens, it does
- 9:02like one of these to where you'll find
- 9:04yourself sometimes, if you're not
- 9:05careful, you get chopped up like this to
- 9:07where the news will go like that and
- 9:09then it'll like consolidate a little bit
- 9:11and then it'll finally make its move and
- 9:13go like that. But you just want to make
- 9:14sure you're not getting caught and
- 9:16chopped like this. So, you make sure
- 9:17you're putting your buy and sell stops
- 9:19far away enough to then pass the
- 9:21accounts again. 25 points away is good.
- 9:23And then just putting your TP exactly at
- 9:25where passing your account is. maybe do
- 9:26a little bit more to cover for spreads.
- 9:28Um, I've done this in reals before. I'm
- 9:30probably going to record myself doing it
- 9:31again this Friday. But that is easiest
- 9:33way to pass during news this week. So,
- 9:35make sure you guys are abusing that and
- 9:36using it because it is so easy to do. I
- 9:39have like a probably like a 95% success
- 9:41rate doing it that way. It's again the
- 9:44easiest way that I've ever done anything
- 9:45to pass any accounts. So, make sure you
- 9:46guys are taking advantage of that. The
- 9:48best accounts to do it on is going to be
- 9:50either Funded Next or the Alpha Zero
- 9:53accounts. Apex is also good for that.
- 9:55The fund and X accounts I think are the
- 9:57best though because it's 2500 to pass,
- 9:58not 3,000. They also have no activation
- 10:01fee. They're also end of day trading
- 10:03draw down so there's no intraday trading
- 10:05which is the best. And there's also no
- 10:06daily loss limit. Pretty much every
- 10:08other firm on the evaluations they have
- 10:10either a daily loss limit which I hate
- 10:13because you get stopped out before you
- 10:14even get the chance to see your trade
- 10:15play out. But also some firms have
- 10:17trailing draw down intraday which means
- 10:19even if you're let's say the trailing
- 10:21draw down is $2,000. If you go $2,000 in
- 10:25profit and then you go and then it goes
- 10:27down to break even, you blow the account
- 10:28because it trails up as you're inside of
- 10:30the trade, which sucks. That's why like
- 10:32end of day trailing draw down. That is
- 10:34exactly what Funex has. They have the
- 10:35best rules ever. They have no activation
- 10:36fee. Literally the best firm that I've
- 10:38ever used. I take pretty much a $10,000
- 10:40trade uh payout with them every single
- 10:41week. So, if you guys want to go check
- 10:43them out, go to link in the description.
- 10:44You guys can use code AVA for those
- 10:46accounts. Again, the best accounts that
- 10:47I've ever used by far. But then you also
- 10:49have accounts like Alpha Future Zero
- 10:50accounts which they have a daily loss
- 10:52limit and you know obviously it's not
- 10:55the most favorable to have that but
- 10:56during passing news it shouldn't be that
- 10:57big of an issue. Again you guys can use
- 10:59code AVAL for that down in the
- 11:00description. If you guys are trying to
- 11:02pass accounts the easiest way to do it
- 11:03like this by far just make sure that the
- 11:05accounts that you guys are using are one
- 11:06day pass. So FunX Alpha Futures and Apex
- 11:09those are all great accounts. Even the
- 11:10Tradeify Growth accounts those are all
- 11:12great accounts to go ahead and try to
- 11:13use to pass during news. I'm going to be
- 11:15doing it personally and I hope to see
- 11:16you guys succeed doing that as well. But
- 11:18anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this trade
- 11:20recap. I appreciate you guys for
- 11:21watching this and I'll be seeing you
- 11:22guys very soon.
