How I look classy, expensive and put together on a tight budget — Transcript

2. 0:03So, today I'm just at home lounging on
3. 0:06the couch, obviously. Um, and I just
4. 0:09decided to film a video real quick.
5. 0:12Like, how can you look expensive and
6. 0:16classy? How can you look put together
7. 0:18while you're on a very tight budget with
8. 0:21minimal effort, with minimal amount of
9. 0:24money? That's what I'm going to get into
10. 0:26today cuz trust me, it ra okay
11. 0:32things hard and we don't want to be
12. 0:34spending a lot of money on things that
13. 0:37are not like a necessity, you know, but
14. 0:40we still got to look put together
15. 0:41regardless because the first thing
16. 0:44people see is your physical appearance,
17. 0:46what you look like. Okay? So, we got to
18. 0:49keep it cute. So, let me jump right into
19. 0:54it. Now, the first tip I'm going to give
20. 0:56you is to always have your nails done.
21. 1:01Now, I know these nail salons, they're
22. 1:03charging an arm and a leg just for us to
23. 1:06get our nails done, and it's high
24. 1:10maintenance because we got to get them
25. 1:11every 2 weeks if we're going for that
26. 1:13classy and clean look. Now, here's what
27. 1:16I do instead. Instead, I just simply get
28. 1:20the nail kit. I bought it on Amazon. It
29. 1:24has everything you possibly need that's
30. 1:27in that that you're going to need to do
31. 1:29your own gel ex extensions. My speaker
32. 1:33is going off. Okay. Sorry about that,
33. 1:35guys. But I actually did these a week
34. 1:38and a few days ago, and they're still
35. 1:40looking okay. Yeah, I do need to take
36. 1:43them off, but they're okay. and they
37. 1:45give me almost like a salon look without
38. 1:49the price of going to the salon.
39. 1:52Remember, as I always say, in this
40. 1:54economy,
41. 1:56girl, we're not doing that. We're going
42. 1:59to save our coins, okay? Save your
43. 2:00coins, sis, and do the Gellex X. Okay,
44. 2:03no, I'm going to turn that off.
45. 2:06I hate being interrupted in the middle
46. 2:08of filming. But yeah, anyways, uh, as I
47. 2:12was saying, the Gel X nails is really
48. 2:14beginner friendly. I'm not a beauty
49. 2:17guru. I don't know how to do the best
50. 2:20nails, the best makeup, the best lashes,
51. 2:23the best blah blah blah. Like, I
52. 2:25seriously do not. I just started
53. 2:27learning it and it took me maybe by the
54. 2:29second try to get these perfectly. Like,
55. 2:33it's worth it. Okay. So, if you don't
56. 2:34know how to do nails that good, don't
57. 2:36worry about it because this is going to
58. 2:38work out for you. Another thing is to
59. 2:41always have your hair done. If you're
60. 2:44striving for that classy, clean, put
61. 2:47together look, always have your hair
62. 2:49done. And it doesn't mean you're going
63. 2:51to go out and spend an arm and a leg to
64. 2:54get your hair done or to spend a lot of
65. 2:56money on fake nails. As us black giries,
66. 3:01you have different styles that you could
67. 3:03put or do with your hair to look classy.
68. 3:07You don't always have to wear the
69. 3:09extensions. Um, it's not always
70. 3:12necessary. That's expensive. So, my
71. 3:14go-to hairstyle for when I'm striving
72. 3:17for that classy, clean, put together
73. 3:19look a slick back bun. Okay? A slick
74. 3:23back bun is always going to do it,
75. 3:25honey. I promise you. It's easy. It's
76. 3:28quick. You don't need anything a slick
77. 3:31back bun. Unless you have really short
78. 3:33hair, you might need a little extensions
79. 3:35for the bun. But for me, I just catch it
80. 3:38in a ponytail, slick it down with some
81. 3:41gel, and wrap the ends and I'm out the
82. 3:44door and I feel put together. So, your
83. 3:46hair should always look neat and
84. 3:49effortless, and you don't have to spend
85. 3:51a lot of money on it. If you're really
86. 3:53on a tight budget, do a freaking bun.
87. 3:55Okay. Next that I want to talk about is
88. 4:00lashes. Now the girls are on the
89. 4:02internet doing their lashes extremely
90. 4:06thick. They look like their lashes like
91. 4:09the lashes is about to fly them all the
92. 4:11way to Italy and back. That's not a
93. 4:13classy look. When you get your lashes
94. 4:16done, if you want to look classy, you
95. 4:19have to do them to where it looks
96. 4:21natural as if it's growing out of your
97. 4:24lash line. Okay? So, clean, minimal, not
98. 4:28too long, not too short. Uh, you should
99. 4:32know the length that suits your face,
100. 4:33but not too long, not too short. I did
101. 4:36my own lashes with the lash kit that
102. 4:38I'll also link in the description box
103. 4:40below. And let me get closer.
104. 4:44That's what it looks like. And again,
105. 4:46that's also old. I did this also a week
106. 4:50and a half ago, around the same time I
107. 4:52did my nails. So, and it has lasted. I
108. 4:56haven't had anything lifted. So, I'm
109. 4:59saving a lot of money right there. So,
110. 5:02tip number four is to embrace your
111. 5:05neutral colors. Now, I know you hear
112. 5:07this a lot. Wear the blacks, the whites,
113. 5:10the beige, you know, those neutral
114. 5:13colors. It screams classy, you know, and
115. 5:17not only neutrals, but monochromatic
116. 5:21looks. Okay, so one day I was going to
117. 5:24the airport and I wore a completely
118. 5:28blue navy outfit. So it was like a navy
119. 5:33slacks with navy sweater top. And
120. 5:36because of that monochromatic look,
121. 5:38everything in one color, it gave off
122. 5:41chic, effortless, put together,
123. 5:45everything in one. And that day I got a
124. 5:47lot of compliments. And it didn't take
125. 5:49much than just grabbing matching tops
126. 5:51and bottoms.
127. 5:53That's it. Okay. So, monochromatic or
128. 5:57neutral would be a really, really great
129. 6:01option if you're trying to look, you
130. 6:04know, classy and clean on a budget. Tip
131. 6:08number five is to actually buy quality
132. 6:11instead of quantity. So, what I mean is
133. 6:14when I was younger, I would buy a lot of
134. 6:18t-shirts from cheap clothing brands. I
135. 6:21would buy a lot of polyester, just
136. 6:25anything that's cheap. I would shop at
137. 6:27places like Rainbow. But if you look at
138. 6:30the material that it's made of, first of
139. 6:33all, it's not good for your skin. And it
140. 6:36doesn't even last. By the time you throw
141. 6:38it in the wash and you take it out, you
142. 6:41got to just throw it in the trash, okay?
143. 6:43Because it's no longer it doesn't look
144. 6:45the same. It's not giving what it's
145. 6:47supposed to give. So, I tend to pay
146. 6:50attention to my materials. So, if a
147. 6:54shirt says 50 bucks, I'm going to look
148. 6:57at what it's made of. If it's 100%
149. 7:00cotton or linen or something like that,
150. 7:03I would invest in it. But if it's say
151. 7:0675% polyester and 25% something else,
152. 7:11I'm not doing that, okay? Because it's
153. 7:14not good for your skin and it's not
154. 7:15going to last. So why bother? And when
155. 7:18you buy really good quality stuff, it
156. 7:21also shows people know it looks
157. 7:24expensive, it looks better, the material
158. 7:27looks better quality, and you
159. 7:29automatically it automatically elevates
160. 7:31the way you look. And tip number six
161. 7:34regarding how to look classy and
162. 7:36expensive on a budget is to pay
163. 7:38attention to your shoe. Girl, if you're
164. 7:41wearing sneakers, please clean them
165. 7:45before you go out. Do it the lazy girl
166. 7:48way. Just throw it in the wash, throw it
167. 7:50in the machine, and let it do its thing.
168. 7:53Problem solved. That's it. Do not try to
169. 7:57be out there trying to look classy with
170. 8:00your hair done, nails done, lashes done,
171. 8:02everything looks great, but your shoe
172. 8:04looks like you just picked it up out of
173. 8:05the trash can. That's that's not going
174. 8:09to work. Okay, so I'm saying all that
175. 8:11because I was once there, okay? But I'm
176. 8:14using the lazy girl method now where I
177. 8:16just throw my shoes in the washer and
178. 8:19just don't think about it. And it's
179. 8:22good. That's why I refuse to invest in
180. 8:25shoes that cost thousands.
181. 8:28No, I'm wearing my regular Poomer, my
182. 8:31regular Adidas. Like, I'm not going to
183. 8:34invest in shoes that are $800, $1,000
184. 8:38cuz
185. 8:39me, I wouldn't trust I wouldn't dress
186. 8:42myself with those. Okay? I would not.
187. 8:46Another way I try to look expensive and
188. 8:48classy is I always try to iron my
189. 8:52clothes. So, I cannot stress how many
190. 8:56times I've been out and a girl passes by
191. 9:00and she looks so pretty. Her makeup has
192. 9:03done well. She has nice jewelry on.
193. 9:05Like, everything is perfect.
194. 9:08Like, chef's kiss
195. 9:11about the outfit.
196. 9:13But when you really take a look,
197. 9:16everything's just wrinkled. And you
198. 9:19know, wrinkled clothing from, you know,
199. 9:22sometimes we get wrinkles from sitting
200. 9:24down for extended periods, stuff like
201. 9:26that. Those type of wrinkles are normal.
202. 9:28Okay? I'm not talking about that. I'm
203. 9:31talking about wrinkle from the neck all
204. 9:34the way down to the the ankles. Okay,
205. 9:37honey? Like that type of wrinkle,
206. 9:41it throws everything off. you
207. 9:43automatically just look homeless. So,
208. 9:47take some time to iron your clothing.
209. 9:49That's what I do when I'm ready to get
210. 9:52dressed and go out. I try to just iron
211. 9:56it. It makes the clothing look better
212. 9:57and it makes you look so much more put
213. 10:00together. Okay, so number eight is
214. 10:03minimal jewelry. I've seen a lot of
215. 10:06people online, especially lately, might
216. 10:08be a trend. I don't know. Not a trendy
217. 10:10girl. But they usually wear like a lot
218. 10:13of rings, you know, stacking rings,
219. 10:17multiple like they got 10 fingers and
220. 10:19all 10 fingers covered in rings, okay?
221. 10:23Bracelet stacks,
222. 10:26layering necklaces, multiple earrings.
223. 10:28And it looks great because a lot of
224. 10:30girls can pull that off. But I'm yet to
225. 10:33see someone who's pulling that off while
226. 10:37looking classy. It doesn't give classy,
227. 10:40elevated.
228. 10:42It doesn't scream that for me. So, what
229. 10:45I do is whenever I'm going out and I'm
230. 10:47striving for that expensive, put
231. 10:50together look while on a budget, I just
232. 10:52try to minimal make everything minimal.
233. 10:55So, if my earrings are some big
234. 10:57statement earrings, I try to just remove
235. 11:00my necklace. So, there's not too much
236. 11:02going on up here. If I'm wearing like a
237. 11:04statement necklace, which I honestly
238. 11:06don't do cuz my neck is so wide. I don't
239. 11:09want to draw too much attention to this
240. 11:10wide short neck. So, I don't usually
241. 11:13wear a statement necklace. But let's say
242. 11:15in a case where I had a nice slim neck
243. 11:18and I was going to wear a statement
244. 11:21necklace, then I would wear a very, very
245. 11:26tiny stud that you'd probably need a
246. 11:28microscope to see. Yeah. So, you don't
247. 11:32want too much going on. You don't want
248. 11:34too much competition or too much things
249. 11:36clashing. I honestly believe that one
250. 11:40statement piece is enough. Okay. If your
251. 11:44earring is the big statement, everything
252. 11:46else should be minimal. For bracelets, I
253. 11:49do add sometimes, but I try to add no
254. 11:52more than three bracelets. And if I do
255. 11:56add three bracelets, then this one is
256. 11:58just a watch and I'm done. For rings, I
257. 12:02try to do just one ring per hand. So,
258. 12:06when I'm going out, I usually have this
259. 12:09Cardier wedding band and I stack my
260. 12:12engagement ring on top. But in instances
261. 12:16where I'm just lounging around the
262. 12:18house, like now I just have my wedding
263. 12:20band on and on my middle or pointer
264. 12:25finger, I always have the nail ring, the
265. 12:28Cardier just include nail ring on either
266. 12:31fingers.
267. 12:32And that's it. that works for me. So,
268. 12:37yeah, I invest in minimal and quality
269. 12:40jewelry. As you could see, I try to
270. 12:42invest in pieces that are uh good
271. 12:46quality. Even though we're paying for
272. 12:48just the name here, I know it's
273. 12:50something that if I buy, I would never
274. 12:53ever
275. 12:55want to replace it. So, in my case, I
276. 12:59have no reason to buy another ring for
277. 13:01the rest of my life. I have no reason to
278. 13:03buy additional bracelets for the rest of
279. 13:05my life because I have this solid gold
280. 13:08piece here. Same thing for necklace.
281. 13:11Like one and done, honey. One and done.
282. 13:13Okay. Another thing I do in order to
283. 13:16look expensive and classy is, and it's
284. 13:21funny because it has a little bit a
285. 13:23little bit or let's say nothing to do
286. 13:26with what people are seeing, but rather
287. 13:29what they're smelling. All right. So, if
288. 13:32you walk into a room and you're dressed
289. 13:36to impress, your heels, it's popping.
290. 13:39You have nice jewelry, hair is well
291. 13:42groomed, makeup, face beat, but then you
292. 13:45walk past and we smell fish. Girl, what
293. 13:49are we doing?
294. 13:53What are we doing? Okay, so try to
295. 13:57always
296. 13:58or let me tell you what I do. I try to
297. 14:02always always first of all take a bath
298. 14:05before I go on the streets. Okay.

301. 14:14perfume. My favorite is Black Opium by
302. 14:18YSL St. Laurent. I love that. And I also
303. 14:21like Dior. But black opium,
304. 14:25I sprayed it on my hand right here for
305. 14:28the other video that I was filming
306. 14:30earlier, and I can smell I I can still
307. 14:33smell it. It's kicking and it's just one
308. 14:36spray. With the cheap perfumes, you got
309. 14:39to spray those like 20 times before you
310. 14:42actually even smell good. So, what's the
311. 14:45point of wasting your money anyways? Due
312. 14:48to the amount of sprays that you're
313. 14:49going to need, you're going to run out
314. 14:52in a week.
315. 14:53So girl, save your coins and get a good
316. 14:56perfume so you could smell good and you
317. 14:58don't have to use that much when you get
318. 15:00a good perfume. All right, so another
319. 15:03thing I do to look put together on a
320. 15:05budget is I try to wear minimal makeup.
321. 15:11Yes, I love seeing the girls with the
322. 15:14orange eyeshadow and their bold orange
323. 15:17lipstick or the black lipstick. Yeah, it
324. 15:20looks great. But I just love
325. 15:23I just love a minimal, clean, simple
326. 15:28makeup. I love a good beat that's simple
327. 15:31and looks like your skin. To be honest,
328. 15:34I don't even wear foundation anymore. I
329. 15:37wear CC cream. Uh my favorite right now
330. 15:41is the IT Cosmetics CC cream. When I
331. 15:44have that on my face, it feels like I
332. 15:47don't really have anything on there. And
333. 15:49sometimes it also looks like I don't
334. 15:51have anything on there. And that's how I
335. 15:54like it. With foundation, it tends to
336. 15:57get cakey after a while of wearing it.
337. 16:01And I don't like that look, that cakey,
338. 16:03heavy look. I like foundation or CC
339. 16:07cream that looks like your own skin.
340. 16:10Yeah. So, I It Cosmetics is what I
341. 16:13usually just go for. And to me, I've
342. 16:17never looked back and I won't look back.
343. 16:20Yeah, less is more, guys. Less is more.
344. 16:23I promise you, you don't need a lot of
345. 16:25stuff to look good or to look put
346. 16:27together and to elevate your look. You
347. 16:30really don't. Less is more. And you
348. 16:33don't have to spend an arm and a leg on
349. 16:35expensive makeup, too. There are a lot
350. 16:37of drugstore makeup that looks or that
351. 16:40works pretty much the same. I walked
352. 16:42into Sephora the other day and saw a
353. 16:44makeup uh uh mascara for $50 and I
354. 16:48walked the heck out cuz
355. 16:51we're not doing that. Mm-
356. 16:54Mm- the $50 mascara. Like, is that going
357. 16:58to grow my eyelashes tomorrow?
358. 17:02It better. Now, another way to look put
359. 17:06together on a budget requires no money,
360. 17:09just attention to details, and that is
361. 17:13good posture. Whenever I go out and I'm
362. 17:16walking, I try to be mindful that, hey,
363. 17:19other people are looking at me. You
364. 17:22cannot walk with your shoulders slouched
365. 17:25forward. You have to stand up bold and
366. 17:28strong and look confident.
367. 17:32You get what I'm saying? And that helps
368. 17:34your overall look. Like without that,
369. 17:37without your right or a correct without
370. 17:41a correct posture, you're going to throw
371. 17:43off the entire look. So your posture
372. 17:47should be confident, upright, shoulders
373. 17:51back. Um, not too much, okay? We don't
374. 17:53want to overdo it here. But yeah, work

376. 17:59I feel like it did elevate the way that

378. 18:06opinion. The next way to look
379. 18:09effortlessly classy and expensive on a
380. 18:13budget is this one simple thing that I'm
381. 18:17sure you weren't even thinking about and
382. 18:18it's your underwear.
383. 18:21Yep, your panties and your bra. Because
384. 18:24guess what? We are buying those
385. 18:27underweares that are showing. They're
386. 18:30printed printed out. You can see the
387. 18:33underwear. Okay. We're wearing tops and
388. 18:37we could see the bra printed out and
389. 18:40that's not giving a good look. So, what
390. 18:42I've been doing lately is I've been
391. 18:44trying to invest in really great quality
392. 18:47bras and panties and I just go with the
393. 18:50seamless. So seamless means you're not
394. 18:53able to see it or the prints under
395. 18:56clothing. So the panties you won't see
396. 18:59it the lines, you know, for the bras,
397. 19:03you won't be able to see much of a line
398. 19:05either. And I think it definitely
399. 19:08elevated the way I look. It's something
400. 19:10that I will never stop doing. Like I'm
401. 19:13always going to go to Victoria's Secret,
402. 19:15get the seamless underwear. I'm not
403. 19:18turning back. So, these are all the
404. 19:20things that I do whenever I'm going out
405. 19:23and I'm trying to look expensive and
406. 19:25classy on a budget. So, let me know in
