- 0:00If you're somebody who wants to learn to
- 0:02love their body, [music]
- 0:03this message is for you. If this has
- 0:06been a longtime struggle for you,
- 0:09[music] then stay until the end of this
- 0:10video because this is an incredibly
- 0:12crucial lesson for repairing your health
- 0:15[music] mentally, emotionally, and
- 0:17physically. When I was a teenager, I
- 0:20grew up with many comments about my
- 0:22appearance, and they were often
- 0:24contradicting. [music] And in the end, I
- 0:27didn't know what to think about myself.
- 0:29Was I weak and thin? Was I [music] too
- 0:32big? Was I too muscular? I had all these
- 0:36things thrown at me. And maybe you have
- 0:38too. And maybe you were left in the same
- 0:40situation where [music] you felt
- 0:42uncomfortable with your body. And maybe
- 0:44you [music] fell into dangerous habits
- 0:47that you use as coping mechanisms. It
- 0:50took me 6 years to [music] come to a
- 0:54place of acceptance with where I am now.
- 0:58Six years of [music] trying and failing,
- 1:00trying and failing until I finally got
- 1:03it right. [music] This is how to love
- 1:05your body and how to live a life with
- 1:08the best health you can possibly have.
- 1:12To start off with, I [music] am going to
- 1:14speak a little bit about my story and my
- 1:16relationship with my body. During the
- 1:20Corona virus pandemic back in 2020, I
- 1:23was a freshman in high school. I was
- 1:26already kind of locked in my house
- 1:28before this just [music] because of
- 1:30course I didn't have high school. I
- 1:32didn't have a lot of opportunities to
- 1:34socialize. [music]
- 1:36But I feel like because during the
- 1:40coronairus pandemic, this led to even
- 1:42more time alone [music] in the house
- 1:45that I was in. And I was constantly
- 1:48surrounded by people and media that were
- 1:52almost harmful, like that almost had a
- 1:54harmful judgment to my body. This led to
- 1:58me having a very negative
- 1:59self-perception [music]
- 2:00before the body dysmorphia and the
- 2:02hatred towards my physical appearance
- 2:05[music] started. But it really dug in
- 2:08when I started comparing myself to
- 2:10others. Even more so, I became so upset
- 2:13with the fact that I didn't like my
- 2:16appearance. And [music] back then, I
- 2:17thought that I had to work from the
- 2:20outside in to fix my appearance problem.
- 2:22[music]
- 2:23So, I would actively try to fix my
- 2:25appearance rather than [music] confront
- 2:28my attitude towards my appearance to
- 2:30make things better. And the way I went
- 2:33about fixing my appearance was in very
- 2:36very unhealthy ways.
- 2:38>> [music]
- 2:38>> I did have a very unhealthy relationship
- 2:40with food for a long time. I struggled
- 2:44with overeating. I felt like I had to
- 2:47constantly control the makeup and the
- 2:50skin care that I was doing and the
- 2:51clothes I would wearing so [music] they
- 2:53would cover my physique. And I was just
- 2:56I was really afraid to show skin [music]
- 2:58because all I knew throughout my teenage
- 3:02years was judgment because I grew up
- 3:04with somebody who was constantly judging
- 3:06me and I was constantly [music]
- 3:09comparing myself. The biggest save that
- 3:12I dealt with was probably moving out,
- 3:15which [music] I did 2 years ago. Moving
- 3:18out was initially very scary for me
- 3:20because I felt like I was going to be
- 3:22lonely, but I've actually created more
- 3:24meaningful relationships ever since I
- 3:26moved out. But once I got a piece of
- 3:29mind and I escaped from the person that
- 3:33judged me and the person who is the
- 3:35biggest [music] source of trauma in my
- 3:37life, that's when I started to begin my
- 3:40self-healing journey and [music] started
- 3:42to become comfortable in my own skin. At
- 3:45this point, yes, I was still comparing
- 3:47myself to others. [music] And the source
- 3:50I would often use to compare myself to
- 3:52others was, yes, social [music] media. I
- 3:54would often come across sources of other
- 3:56people where I would compare myself to,
- 3:59which boils it down to like
- 4:02disciplining myself against using the
- 4:04internet. So, I shut out the internet.
- 4:07[music] And what I did to replace the
- 4:11habit of searching the internet was just
- 4:13sitting [music] with myself. As funny as
- 4:16that sounds, the more I sat with myself
- 4:19and [music] the less I went onto the
- 4:21internet, the more comfortable I became
- 4:24with my body. [music] Another way I got
- 4:27more in touch with my body was by
- 4:29meditating or doing yoga. I [music] feel
- 4:32like both of these in combination were
- 4:34the number one thing that helped me
- 4:36become more familiar with my body and
- 4:39listening to my body's needs [music]
- 4:41because at this point I just go
- 4:43throughout my day and I feel like I'm so
- 4:47intuitive to my body that I know my
- 4:49digestion. [music]
- 4:51I know like my heart I know my heartbeat
- 4:55like I know how my heartbeat is. I feel
- 4:58like the more I listen to my body, the
- 5:01more it gives me time to think about the
- 5:04process that my body goes through. The
- 5:07process, the natural processes and the
- 5:10intelligence of my body. Like sometimes
- 5:14I'll just sit and think to myself, it is
- 5:17astonishing and it is a miracle how
- 5:19source has designed our bodies to work.
- 5:22[music] We may not be consciously aware
- 5:24of it and we may have even have
- 5:27conscious biases towards the processes
- 5:29of our bodies. [music] But when we
- 5:31aren't distracted by so much in the
- 5:34everyday life that's over stimulating
- 5:36and we just have time [music]
- 5:38to sink in and really feel into our
- 5:41bodies, you really begin to realize how
- 5:44astonishing it is that we are human and
- 5:47how
- 5:49astonishing it is that there is a whole
- 5:52another layer of consciousness running
- 5:54our bodies to keep us alive.
- 5:56>> [music]
- 5:57>> I started to level things up after I
- 5:59became more comfortable in my body. This
- 6:01is when I moved to a combination of
- 6:05other rituals such as practicing
- 6:07affirmations every day [music] and
- 6:09listening to subliminals every day.
- 6:11Subliminals are something that I really
- 6:13emphasize on this channel because they
- 6:14are a really easy and effortless [music]
- 6:17way to hack your life. I specifically
- 6:21transformed my relationship with my body
- 6:23by listening to beauty subliminals. And
- 6:26I know that sounds like something that
- 6:28I'm using to work from the outside in,
- 6:31which is something I try to [music] not
- 6:34encourage. I think working from the
- 6:36inside out is better. But the specific
- 6:39beauty subliminals that I listen to
- 6:42[music] emphasized self-love and
- 6:44confidence. So, it wasn't just the
- 6:47appearance aspect that I was trying to
- 6:50manifest, but also a more confident and
- 6:55relaxed demeanor. [music]
- 6:56I think overall the most important thing
- 6:59that I took away from loving my body was
- 7:03embodying an identity that loved and
- 7:06cared for my body.
- 7:08>> [music]
- 7:08>> I reconstructed my entire identity
- 7:11around [music] being kind,
- 7:14compassionate, healthy, and pretty much
- 7:17successful at everything I do. [music]
- 7:20And for me, that also meant learning how
- 7:23to love myself. So, every day, I set
- 7:26aside 30 minutes in the morning to
- 7:29practice self-care. Whether that was
- 7:31stretching, yoga, skin care, showering,
- 7:35exfoliating my skin, you name it. I
- 7:39wanted to take [music] that sacred time
- 7:41to show my body the love and care that
- 7:44it deserved. I also really like [music]
- 7:47to take supplements and eat a really
- 7:50healthy breakfast every morning. And the
- 7:53more that I looped those rituals, the
- 7:56more [music] it became stuck with my
- 7:58identity and the more that I [music]
- 8:01became congruent with my identity, the
- 8:04more I repeated those rituals. [music]
- 8:06So it was basically like a cycle. And to
- 8:10this day still, I am still within that
- 8:13cycle. And every day I look for more
- 8:16ways to work on my health, love my body,
- 8:19and overall just be my best self. To
- 8:23summarize,
- 8:24health and [music] self love isn't just
- 8:28a physical state. It is a mental state.
- 8:31It doesn't matter whether you have a
- 8:34health condition or you don't have any
- 8:36health condition. [music] I think it's
- 8:38important that we all learn to love our
- 8:41bodies [music] because the more that we
- 8:44can care for ourselves,
- 8:46the more energy we have to give into our
- 8:50passions and the people in our lives,
- 8:53whether it be family, friends, a career,
- 8:57or simply just something you're
- 8:59passionate about. If this resonated with
- 9:01you, please [music]
- 9:02make sure to like, comment, and
- 9:04subscribe for more content like this.
- 9:07And [music] until next time, I will see
- 9:09you guys. Bye.
