  1. 0:00Okay, you're in for a real treat today
  2. 0:02because I'm going to show you my
  3. 0:03stepbystep process to finding winning
  4. 0:06micro SASS ideas with builtin proven
  5. 0:10demand so you never have to worry about
  6. 0:13whether anyone actually wants what
  7. 0:15you're creating. It's also going to be
  8. 0:17helping you compete in an unsaturated
  9. 0:19market, building stuff that no one else
  10. 0:21is building that people are actually
  11. 0:23looking for the solution for. I'm going
  12. 0:25to show you the exact tools, how you can
  13. 0:27use them, and validate your ideas along
  14. 0:28the way. So this is a part of my build
  15. 0:30launch rank challenge where I'm finding
  16. 0:32a micro SASS idea, building it and
  17. 0:34launching it, hoping to rank it at the
  18. 0:35top of Google and generate customers in
  19. 0:37the shortest time possible. Now this is
  20. 0:39the first tool and this is basically a
  21. 0:41purpose-built tool that you can start
  22. 0:43using to start getting ideas and getting
  23. 0:45the juices flowing and perhaps even find
  24. 0:47a winning idea. It's called build the
  25. 0:49keyword and as you can see here, it's
  26. 0:51going to help you find a new business
  27. 0:53idea. Now there's a few different ways
  28. 0:55you can use this tool. Firstly, there's
  29. 0:56this great section here which has got
  30. 0:58browse validated ideas. This is going to
  31. 1:00give you straight away a library of
  32. 1:02untapped product ideas that are based on
  33. 1:06high search volumes on Google. There's a
  34. 1:08lot of people searching for these
  35. 1:09products on Google every month, but low
  36. 1:11difficulty in that there's not much
  37. 1:13competition to rank against. So just by
  38. 1:15building the product around this keyword
  39. 1:18and naming your co product basically
  40. 1:20this keyword, it should rank at the top
  41. 1:22of Google and bring customers to your
  42. 1:24new SAS product almost within a matter
  43. 1:27of weeks. So you don't have to worry
  44. 1:29about how you find your first users. So
  45. 1:31actually this is a thousand two plus
  46. 1:34untapped ideas that we can start
  47. 1:35searching through. Some of them, meh,
  48. 1:38they're all right, but there might be
  49. 1:39some gold in here that you can scroll
  50. 1:42down and start finding something that
  51. 1:43you think resonates with what you want
  52. 1:45to build. So, you know, off the top,
  53. 1:47they're okay. But you can see the search
  54. 1:49volume, how many people are searching
  55. 1:51this keyword every month, and the
  56. 1:54difficulty, how hard it is to rank
  57. 1:55between zero and 100. 100 being hard,
  58. 1:58zero being not that difficult. and how
  59. 2:00many other related keywords there are
  60. 2:02for this search term to give you a
  61. 2:05really full picture of how many people
  62. 2:06are looking for this particular solution
  63. 2:09on Google every month. Now, there's all
  64. 2:11sorts of things that come in here from
  65. 2:13checklist to templating tools, weekly
  66. 2:16agenda template, not a bad idea, but I'm
  67. 2:18looking for some things that maybe would
  68. 2:20get me a little bit excited to build as
  69. 2:22well that we can have some fun with. So,
  70. 2:24you know, we can scroll down and start
  71. 2:26seeing what we've got in here. We've got
  72. 2:28generate resume from LinkedIn. That's a
  73. 2:30really useful one. I keep my LinkedIn
  74. 2:32profile up to date, but not my CVs. So,
  75. 2:34being able to just generate one off the
  76. 2:36other would be a really helpful thing,
  77. 2:37and it doesn't appear to be that
  78. 2:38difficult to build from. Puppy roof raw
  79. 2:41food calculator. This is actually a
  80. 2:42really good one cuz I got a puppy nearly
  81. 2:45two years ago now, and I remember that I
  82. 2:49was always worried about how much I
  83. 2:50should be feeding her, whether it was
  84. 2:51too much, too little, and I had lots of
  85. 2:53diagrams and charts and different
  86. 2:55things, and a calculator would have been
  87. 2:57really helpful. So, I really like that
  88. 2:58idea actually. So that I'm going to add
  89. 3:00into my selection. And you can see
  90. 3:02there's very there's raw dog food diet
  91. 3:05calculator as well, which comes in as
  92. 3:06well. Decent search volume every month.
  93. 3:08Not too difficult. And plenty of related
  94. 3:10keywords in different ways people are
  95. 3:12searching for this what you'd call a
  96. 3:13longtail keyword. Tik Tok alternative.
  97. 3:16I'm not going to build a Tik Tok
  98. 3:17alternative. That seems pretty
  99. 3:19challenging. Instagram captions. I'm
  100. 3:21surprised that doesn't have more
  101. 3:23difficulty on it. I'm I'm imagining that
  102. 3:25probably is more difficulty than an
  103. 3:27eight. Um, but maybe maybe for some
  104. 3:29reason it's not been been created. So,
  105. 3:32we'll add that to our list of potential
  106. 3:33ideas. You can see a lot of these are
  107. 3:35generators. Calculators come up a lot.
  108. 3:38Templates cuz these are really easy
  109. 3:39things to build that solve solutions for
  110. 3:41people really quickly. Now, when I'm
  111. 3:43looking at these, I'm also trying to
  112. 3:45think what is going to be able to be
  113. 3:47monetized as well. Like, how can I earn
  114. 3:50anything from these? A lot of these, if
  115. 3:52they're getting traffic, you'll be able
  116. 3:54to put ads on the site for one or even
  117. 3:56affiliate links for the, for example,
  118. 3:58the puppy food calculator, the raw food
  119. 4:01calculator. You could easy partner with
  120. 4:02a a puppy raw food company to start
  121. 4:06offering that um and collecting emails
  122. 4:08and running offers to those people who
  123. 4:10we know are already qualified for buying
  124. 4:12raw puppy food. That might be quite a
  125. 4:14good one actually off the bat here that
  126. 4:16we've found. Certificates of deposit
  127. 4:18calculator. That's interesting. Uh,
  128. 4:20we'll add that one in. I'm not going to
  129. 4:22spend too long running through this list
  130. 4:24because I want to show you some other
  131. 4:25ways and come up with a lot more ideas
  132. 4:27here. But you can start to see that
  133. 4:29paying down my mortgage calculator, that
  134. 4:30might be quite a nice one. You could
  135. 4:32link to affiliates on mortgage brokers
  136. 4:34and providers through that. These are
  137. 4:35also great ideas if you have a business
  138. 4:38already that you want to tag on tools
  139. 4:40and stuff like that to help your
  140. 4:41customers. This is a really great way to
  141. 4:43add another marketing angle to your
  142. 4:45business. So, I just want to show you
  143. 4:46some other areas as well that we can
  144. 4:48start looking at. There's also this
  145. 4:50smart search area and you see I've run
  146. 4:52some thoughts through there already. And
  147. 4:54one of them that I think is going to
  148. 4:55come up with some really nice ideas is
  149. 4:57AI generator. People looking to leverage
  150. 5:00AI but they don't want to have to work
  151. 5:02out how to prompt and use chat GPT
  152. 5:04almost probably like sort of a chat GPT
  153. 5:06wrapper and that sort of thing in many
  154. 5:07ways or bringing a couple things
  155. 5:09together. So there could be some
  156. 5:10interesting stuff in in here to look at.
  157. 5:13Okay, so this is quite an interesting
  158. 5:14one. I quite like this one. AI bank
  159. 5:16statement generator. Now, it might be a
  160. 5:18little bit nefarious um in certain
  161. 5:20circumstances, but people that are
  162. 5:22looking to generate bank statements for
  163. 5:25rent a house, but they don't have the
  164. 5:27right documentation or something and
  165. 5:28they or they want to generate bank
  166. 5:30statements to to get around some some
  167. 5:33sort of application they're they're
  168. 5:35trying to do. Maybe not the most
  169. 5:37ethical, but probably quite popular. 880
  170. 5:39people looking for it each month in
  171. 5:40various probably some other forms as
  172. 5:42well. AI proposal generator, great one.
  173. 5:45Everyone hates writing proposals.
  174. 5:46Imagine if you could get AI to do it,
  175. 5:48generate it all for you really easily.
  176. 5:50Now, this is a good one I like.
  177. 5:51Actually, this is a bit more interesting
  178. 5:53to me. AI book title generator because I
  179. 5:56think that one you could actually do an
  180. 5:58AI book title and book cover generator
  181. 6:01in one. So, it does the whole thing for
  182. 6:03someone. That I really like and people
  183. 6:04would be willing to pay to use that. You
  184. 6:07know, you could get them to get sort of
  185. 6:09start using the program, but they can't
  186. 6:10use the actual book cover or the full
  187. 6:13the full idea until they actually pay a
  188. 6:16subscription or pay a one-off fee to to
  189. 6:18get their hands on the stuff that's been
  190. 6:20generated. Particularly good for
  191. 6:22self-publishers on Amazon. So, it's got
  192. 6:24to the bottom there. That's about 205
  193. 6:26keywords we've looked through. The other
  194. 6:28search we could try is a good one, which
  195. 6:30is near me. This is for all those search
  196. 6:34terms that people put into Google like
  197. 6:36cafe near me or garage near me or that
  198. 6:38sort of thing. With these, you can build
  199. 6:40directory sites and you can build out a
  200. 6:42full direct set of directory listings to
  201. 6:44target all these near me searches in
  202. 6:47different locations. So, you can
  203. 6:48generate a lot of pages really quickly
  204. 6:50to target a lot of SEO search terms. And
  205. 6:53here we go straight away. Fast food near
  206. 6:54me. Hiking trail head near me could be
  207. 6:57an interesting one. You just collect a
  208. 6:59great list, a great directory of trail
  209. 7:02heads and put them into categories of
  210. 7:04different locations and create a great
  211. 7:06directory of hiking trails that people
  212. 7:08can search through that are near them
  213. 7:09and relevant to their location. Again,
  214. 7:11you've got local hiking spots near me
  215. 7:13that would fit into a similar project
  216. 7:15area. So, we might collect those two cuz
  217. 7:17that could be another one. Hiking spot
  218. 7:19near me. Where was the trail head near
  219. 7:21me? You can start to get a feel for
  220. 7:24these. Again, we've got hiking
  221. 7:26destinations near me. That could be a
  222. 7:27really good one cuz there's lots of
  223. 7:28different ways people are searching for
  224. 7:29this. So, there's lots of keyword volume
  225. 7:32opportunity in
  226. 7:33there. Ah, lasagna near me. Don't mind
  227. 7:37that one. Now, one thought I did have
  228. 7:39based on that directory idea that people
  229. 7:42often build directories based on
  230. 7:43location. And I actually actually
  231. 7:45googled microsass ideas and it came up
  232. 7:49with a site called microsass idea.com
  233. 7:52and this got me interested. Firstly,
  234. 7:54it's another place to go and look for
  235. 7:56ideas. Maybe these aren't as validated
  236. 7:58as ones with key words, but they have
  237. 8:00other other advantages. But what this
  238. 8:03gave me the idea was this is an idea
  239. 8:05directory. So, this is such a big
  240. 8:08problem that everyone has in finding
  241. 8:09ideas in certain ways. This person's
  242. 8:11obviously doing very well with this.
  243. 8:13Ranks top of Google for micro SAS ideas,
  244. 8:15which is great. Look at all these
  245. 8:16they're offering. It's a bit similar to
  246. 8:18build the keyword. and their pro plan is
  247. 8:21$129 a month or
  248. 8:23$289, sorry, onetime payment. So, you
  249. 8:26can actually get people to pay you for
  250. 8:29having a directory site of ideas. And
  251. 8:31that got me thinking like what else
  252. 8:32could I build an idea directory around?
  253. 8:35So, I thought I could use another
  254. 8:37keyword tool to try this one out as
  255. 8:39well. So, um, I just started with the
  256. 8:42word ideas and it comes up with so much
  257. 8:45stuff and you can see the keyword
  258. 8:46difficulty seven here, but hundreds of
  259. 8:48thousands of searches. Now, these are
  260. 8:49going to be really hard to rank for and
  261. 8:51probably not that commercial. Like, we
  262. 8:53want something that people are going to
  263. 8:55be willing to pay money for or find a
  264. 8:57way to monetize. So, what I would do is
  265. 8:59then I would change the keyword
  266. 9:01difficulty and bring it down to maybe
  267. 9:03below 40 and start searching through
  268. 9:06ideas that have an easier time ranking
  269. 9:08based on these keywords. Now, again, a
  270. 9:10lot of these like could hit or miss, you
  271. 9:12know, rock painting ideas, whatever.
  272. 9:14Like, people aren't going to pay too
  273. 9:15much money for that. So, what I decided
  274. 9:17to do from here was actually export this
  275. 9:20big list of ideas and use Claude, which
  276. 9:22is a bit like chat GPT, to help me do
  277. 9:24some analysis to find some ideas. So I
  278. 9:27downloaded that. I uploaded it into
  279. 9:29claude here. You can add files and um
  280. 9:31spreadsheets and thing into it. And I
  281. 9:32told I asked it I'm looking for a SAS
  282. 9:34idea to build a microsass around. I came
  283. 9:36around a site called Microsass Idea.
  284. 9:38Literally just saying what what we've um
  285. 9:40been doing here. It's a great idea
  286. 9:41because it's exact match domain. So it
  287. 9:43ranks well on Google and can sell the
  288. 9:45full idea database for over $100. This
  289. 9:47gave me the idea of an idea directory
  290. 9:49building. But I have the problem that
  291. 9:51low difficulty are sometimes quite low
  292. 9:53value with gift or party or recipe
  293. 9:55ideas. Can I give you the Semrush export
  294. 9:57of low difficulty keywords for you to go
  295. 9:59through and pick out ideas? So I got it
  296. 10:01to go and pick through and think like
  297. 10:02what would actually be financially
  298. 10:04viable to run that could be a good money
  299. 10:07earner as well. And it came back with
  300. 10:09some of the highest CPC values of cost
  301. 10:12per click which people are willing to
  302. 10:13pay big advertising to get on to rank
  303. 10:15for those search terms through paid ads
  304. 10:17which is a sign of high value. like
  305. 10:19there's some commercial intent there.
  306. 10:21So, that one came out with business and
  307. 10:22entrepreneurship ideas, real estate and
  308. 10:24property marketing ideas, healthcare
  309. 10:26marketing ideas, team building and
  310. 10:28corporate events. So, there's a few
  311. 10:30things in there that we came up with.
  312. 10:33And one actually that I really liked was
  313. 10:36bucket list ideas and perhaps a site
  314. 10:38called bucket list idea.com. And this
  315. 10:41was really strong potential because the
  316. 10:44the search term bucket list ideas has
  317. 10:4646,000 monthly month monthly searches. I
  318. 10:49think we can let's see if we can look it
  319. 10:51in it in here. Let's go and just find
  320. 10:54bucket list ideas. Let's see if we can
  321. 10:58search that. Uh maybe two words. Yeah,
  322. 11:02bucket list ideas. 22,000 searches
  323. 11:04search volume in the US but 46,000
  324. 11:08globally. But what also is in that is a
  325. 11:13lot of other longtail keywords. You can
  326. 11:15see all the different types of bucket
  327. 11:16list ideas that are searching for that
  328. 11:18people are looking for inspiration to
  329. 11:20improve their lives and fulfill their
  330. 11:22dreams and all sorts of things like
  331. 11:24that. And you can see actually the total
  332. 11:26volume came up to 56,000 searches a
  333. 11:28month. And the way we could build this
  334. 11:30directory then is with one big bucket of
  335. 11:34bucket list ideas, if you will, but then
  336. 11:36split them off into different pages of
  337. 11:38what did we have here? We had bucket
  338. 11:40list ideas for adults, bucket list ideas
  339. 11:42for women. All of these would be
  340. 11:43different sections of our website or our
  341. 11:45platform that would have their own pages
  342. 11:48that we could rank that page on Google
  343. 11:50with all the ideas. And the only problem
  344. 11:52is finding a way to monetize that. who
  345. 11:54could offer, I guess, a subscription or
  346. 11:56a one-off payment to access to the full
  347. 11:58platform that allows people to collect
  348. 12:00ideas and build their list and maybe
  349. 12:02even tick them off. Or we could add in
  350. 12:05affiliate deals for PE P service
  351. 12:08providers offering that experience or
  352. 12:10that product to help people fulfill
  353. 12:12that. And or we could run advertising on
  354. 12:14the site as well. So, there's so much
  355. 12:16opportunity with this one that I really
  356. 12:17liked it. So, that went straight into my
  357. 12:19uh list of ideas. What did I try? I
  358. 12:21tried
  359. 12:22AI and include
  360. 12:25words generator. So I did AI AI as my
  361. 12:30main keyword search here. And then I
  362. 12:33want all search terms that also include
  363. 12:35the word generator. And I could filter
  364. 12:37that down to very easy again to 15
  365. 12:40keyword difficulty and start picking
  366. 12:42through these. Now, I'm not going to
  367. 12:44scroll through that whole list here and
  368. 12:46now because there's some weird stuff in
  369. 12:48there that probably isn't safe for work
  370. 12:51to put it bluntly. People want some
  371. 12:53weird generated things. But overall, I
  372. 12:56came up with some pretty decent ideas
  373. 12:58actually in there. We had the bucket
  374. 12:59list ideas. We had the puppy food
  375. 13:01generator ideas, calculator idea. What
  376. 13:04else did we have saved in here? Local
  377. 13:06hiking spots was a good one. The AI book
  378. 13:08title and cover generator. Really like
  379. 13:11that one. AI proposal generator. Some
  380. 13:13good stuff in here. I've also got
