Full transcript
- 0:00Um, since the beginning I do uh social
- 0:02media.
- 0:04I do everything alone, but I'm doing
- 0:06good. I have like 2 million followers
- 0:07for between YouTube, TikTok, and
- 0:09Instagram.
- 0:10But I know it's important to have the
- 0:13right team. So since beginning I'm alone
- 0:15doing my content, everything.
- 0:18I just have my friend that is helping me
- 0:20for setting up a school, etc. But I want
- 0:23to now work more than 30 minutes per per
- 0:26day and I'm trying to recruit the right
- 0:30team.
- 0:31>> though.
- 0:31>> Yeah, it's a lot. I'm very lazy. I don't
- 0:34like to work, you know? [laughter]
- 0:35I like to do the less possible to make
- 0:37the most possible. But now I'm ready to
- 0:40work a little bit more. And
- 0:42>> This is the perfect French person for
- 0:45for like just this whole thing is
- 0:46amazing. So keep going.
- 0:48>> So now I want to ask you um
- 0:52who I I have to recruit? Like what kind
- 0:55of people I have to go I have in I have
- 0:58to
- 0:59>> Who to recruit for the role?
- 1:00>> to recruit in my team, close to me,
- 1:03to scale to make more maybe more more
- 1:05views, more
- 1:07not more views, but to helping me for
- 1:09the content, give me ideas.
- 1:10>> Maybe just try working for an hour
- 1:11instead of 30 minutes.
- 1:14>> [laughter]
- 1:14>> Maybe don't need to recruit anyone.
- 1:18Yeah, you could you could you could
- 1:19eight X your output if you worked 4
- 1:21hours a day.
- 1:23>> Yeah, but
- 1:25>> [laughter]
- 1:28>> No worry. I really don't like to work,
- 1:30you know?
- 1:31>> [laughter]
- 1:32>> No, so
- 1:34to to to answer the question really. So
- 1:36when we think about building teams or
- 1:37even companies or revenue lines,
- 1:38whatever it is, like we think higher one
- 1:40to higher 10. And so the idea is like I
- 1:42we spend a huge amount of time on trying
- 1:43to find a really really good person who
- 1:45already has a network, who already knows
- 1:47the playbook, and they're going to try
- 1:48and apply what they've learned before
- 1:50into your business. So rather than
- 1:52trying to take people who are lower and
- 1:54then spending all the time to train them
- 1:55up, it's far more productive. Now, it
- 1:57costs more, but it's faster. But you
- 1:59have the cash. Yeah, you have the cash.
- 2:01>> But where?
- 2:03>> I mean, you can Whenever you want. I
- 2:04mean, sorry. Did you say where?
- 2:06>> Yeah, [clears throat] where
- 2:07LinkedIn?
- 2:08Like
- 2:08>> Oh, LinkedIn. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You do
- 2:10outreach. I mean, also a really simple
- 2:11way is
- 2:12um
- 2:13So, when I think about recruiting for a
- 2:15business, if I'm going to have that be
- 2:16an internal function or an external
- 2:18function, um
- 2:20if it's
- 2:21if it's a one-off role that I'm looking
- 2:23at, I'm willing to pay a headhunter a
- 2:26ton of money to go do that because they
- 2:27already have a network of people, a huge
- 2:29pool of people that they're keeping
- 2:30warm, and I'd rather just pay the money
- 2:33to get the problem solved and have
- 2:35really amazing candidates sent to me for
- 2:36a lot more.
- 2:38If I'm going to have a role that I'm
- 2:39going to have repeated, so for example,
- 2:41sales people, editors, uh those are
- 2:43those are roles that, you know, customer
- 2:45success if you have that. Like, those
- 2:47are going to be roles that I have a lot
- 2:48of, and so those are things that I'm
- 2:49going to keep internal because it's core
- 2:51to how the business functions. And so,
- 2:53when it's like niche expertise leader
- 2:55that I'm not going to hire a ton of,
- 2:56then I'll I'll I'll pay to I'll also
- 3:00kick off internal stuff if I can, but
- 3:01I'll I'll be more willing to pay for an
- 3:03outside recruiter.
- 3:04>> Okay. And so, what's the the name of the
- 3:07like content strategist? Is that I need
- 3:09>> Yeah.
- 3:11>> a order
- 3:12>> Yeah, director of content, director of
- 3:13content strategy.
- 3:14>> Okay, all good. Thank you.
- 3:16>> Yeah.
- 3:17Glad I could help.
- 3:19If you're not getting as many leads as
- 3:20you want in your business is
- 3:21demand-constrained, meaning [music] you
- 3:23could service more customers than you
- 3:25currently have, then this is for you.
- 3:26So, marketing is changing, and I think
- 3:28[music] ACQ tends to be on the bleeding
- 3:30edge of this stuff. We certainly spend
- 3:31the money
- 3:32to do it, but we also build custom
- 3:34software, and we pay amazing vendors and
- 3:36very expensive people to figure out the
- 3:37system that we have right now, and I
- 3:38want to share it with you, kind of open
- 3:39kimono style. If you're not getting as
- 3:41many leads as you want,
- 3:42boy, do I have the thing for you. Click
- 3:43below, book call, and uh
- 3:45hopefully I'll see you in Vegas.
