How I Created a $30,000/month Faceless YouTube Channel Using AI Tools — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Before you think about starting a
- 0:01YouTube automation, you should know the
- 0:03unfiltered truth. Lately, I've noticed
- 0:05lots of gurus talking about all the
- 0:07money you'll make when you start a
- 0:08faceless channel, but none of them are
- 0:10warning you about the challenges you'll
- 0:12face. You see, the dashboard you're
- 0:13seeing on your screen is a channel that
- 0:15I started about 5 months ago, and you
- 0:17can see that I've made over $40 to
- 0:19$47,000 without even having to show my
- 0:22face. This is another one with over
- 0:23$240,000,
- 0:25and this is another one. This proves
- 0:27that YouTube automation can be wildly
- 0:29profitable, but it can also be a
- 0:31complete waste of time if you're not
- 0:32aware of secrets that I'll be sharing
- 0:34with you today. And if you're curious
- 0:36about my background on YouTube, I've
- 0:38uploaded thousands of videos across
- 0:39different channels and made pretty good
- 0:41amount. In fact, I have more than 30
- 0:43successful channels, but I also have
- 0:45hundreds of total flop channels, and
- 0:47I've learned every niche and piece of
- 0:49content that I put up. You see, with all
- 0:50the hype around this business model
- 0:52lately, I started looking everywhere to
- 0:54see if someone had already talked about
- 0:56what I'm about to show you. But
- 0:57honestly, I couldn't find anyone
- 0:59explaining it I wanted to see it. So, I
- 1:01decided to make this video and just
- 1:03share my own experience with you. What I
- 1:05did, what worked, and more importantly,
- 1:07some of the mistakes I made along the
- 1:08way, so you don't have to make the same
- 1:10ones. And if you can actually manage to
- 1:12focus and watch this video all the way
- 1:14through, you'd have everything you need
- 1:16to start your first successful channel.
- 1:18I'm going to show you the easiest niche
- 1:20anyone can start while watching this
- 1:22video, but first, you need to understand
- 1:24what people actually mean when they say
- 1:26YouTube automation. See, when YouTube
- 1:28first started, most channels were built
- 1:30around a person. You'd see the creator
- 1:32on camera talking directly to you. But
- 1:34then, at some point, one lazy genius had
- 1:37a different idea. He thought, "Why do I
- 1:38need to be on camera?" So, instead, he
- 1:40recorded his voiceover from the comfort
- 1:42of his underwear, threw some stock
- 1:44footage over it, and somehow, the video
- 1:46started pulling in millions of views.
- 1:48And just like that, people realized,
- 1:49"Wait a minute, you don't actually have
- 1:51to show your face to build a successful
- 1:53YouTube channel." That's basically where
- 1:54the whole faceless channel idea started.
- 1:56So, now you need to understand what
- 1:58happened to me so you can avoid the same
- 2:00mistakes. You see, when I first heard
- 2:01about the term YouTube automation, it
- 2:04caught my attention because I love
- 2:05YouTube and the term automation made me
- 2:07think it is so simple because I saw
- 2:10people getting crazy views and making
- 2:12thousands of dollars. So, I decided to
- 2:14test that for myself by starting my own
- 2:16YouTube automation channel from scratch.
- 2:18So, the first thing that I did was to
- 2:19make a list of YouTube niches and within
- 2:2112 hours I had my channel idea, which
- 2:24was a mistake by the way. And but we'll
- 2:25get to that later. You see, the plan was
- 2:27simple. I decided to make a compilation
- 2:29of funny moments that are trending on
- 2:31the internet. I chose that because I
- 2:33thought that it could be simple and
- 2:34super easy to make videos. Since it's
- 2:37already trending, I'd get views easily.
- 2:39So, I started editing the first video
- 2:41and after 48 hours got about 13 views.
- 2:44So, I found a perfect system and I found
- 2:46some viral videos that I took
- 2:47inspiration from. And the second video
- 2:50hit 1.7k views. And then, I got my big
- 2:53break. The video went viral and hit over
- 2:55800,000 views. And I thought I was on my
- 2:57way to buy my first private jet until I
- 3:00realized I was totally wrong. Like,
- 3:02everything was on track. My channel hit
- 3:044,000 watch hours and over 1,000 subs
- 3:07within a month. So, I applied for
- 3:08monetization and this is where I
- 3:10realized my first mistake. Even though
- 3:12my channel has grown to more than
- 3:13100,000 subscribers and over 29 million
- 3:16views, it was pretty much useless since
- 3:19I couldn't monetize it. It turns out
- 3:20compilation channels are so difficult to
- 3:22monetize since you're just repurposing
- 3:25other people's video. Luckily though, I
- 3:27was still able to sell the channel for
- 3:28six grand and start a new niche. But
- 3:30this time, I took the process more
- 3:32seriously. One of the things that I
- 3:34learned was that since those videos I
- 3:35was repurposing were already going
- 3:37viral, that channel blew up easily. So,
- 3:40I decided to pick a niche that's already
- 3:42blowing up. I lined up some channel
- 3:43ideas and this time, I landed on
- 3:46history. But next, I needed to create
- 3:48the channel and optimize it with the
- 3:50right keywords so that people could
- 3:51discover it faster. So, I first
- 3:54generated the channel logo on Leonardo
- 3:56AI at that time because there was no
- 3:58Nano Banana and ChatGPT couldn't
- 4:00generate images back then. And I went to
- 4:02Canva and designed a simple channel
- 4:04banner since it cost $0. I uploaded them
- 4:07and I started searching for highly
- 4:09searched keywords of my niche using
- 4:11VidIQ. So, I clicked on research, then
- 4:14entered the main keyword of my niche,
- 4:16which is history. Now, I picked like 10
- 4:19highly searched keywords from here, copy
- 4:21it all, then head back to my channel.
- 4:23Went to settings, clicked on channel,
- 4:25then pasted the keywords here. Next, I
- 4:27went to advanced settings and since I
- 4:29was doing it to make money, I chose the
- 4:30middle option so that my video will be
- 4:32shown to the right audience. I finally
- 4:34went to the feature eligibility settings
- 4:36and verified my phone number and hit on
- 4:38save.
- 4:41But, with the channel now set up, I
- 4:42needed to figure out the automation
- 4:44part. So, I went to VidIQ again to find
- 4:46some viral video ideas, then I took that
- 4:48topic to ChatGPT and I asked it to write
- 4:51the scripts for me. That was when I
- 4:52realized things are starting to feel
- 4:54like automation, but I needed to hire
- 4:56someone to edit the videos and design
- 4:58the thumbnails. So, I went to Fiverr to
- 5:00find someone and pass the script to him.
- 5:02He used it to create the video using an
- 5:04AI voiceover and added the thumbnail as
- 5:06well. That cost me about $83. So, next I
- 5:09needed to make my first post and this is
- 5:11where I needed to spend more time and
- 5:13make sure I use the right keywords and
- 5:15hashtags so that I could get views from
- 5:17the right people. And once I was okay
- 5:19with everything, I hit upload hoping to
- 5:21get my first 100,000 views. The video
- 5:24didn't go viral as I was expecting, but
- 5:26I was thinking it'll get views in the
- 5:27future because that's what my last
- 5:29channel did. So, I prepared my next
- 5:30video and uploaded it and it got around
- 5:33400 views in the first week. But, after
- 5:3530 days, the first video was still stuck
- 5:37at 62 views. I uploaded the next video
- 5:40and something [music] unexpected
- 5:41happened. The video got 703 views, but
- 5:44the first video was picked up out of
- 5:46nowhere and over the next couple of
- 5:47weeks, it got over 32,000 views, 619
- 5:51watch hours, and 31 subscribers. This
- 5:54actually got me to start using Pinterest
- 5:55to find my dream house. But of course,
- 5:57that's when everything fell apart again.
- 5:59It has been 3 months already, spending
- 6:01close to 500 bucks for six videos, and
- 6:04only one of those videos blew up. I
- 6:05didn't understand. So, I went back to
- 6:07the drawing board and found out I didn't
- 6:09give any reason for people who watched
- 6:11the first video to come back for more.
- 6:13Like, I didn't give any value to my
- 6:15initial viewers. I realized it wasn't
- 6:16the thumbnail or the editing, but the
- 6:18script. Because the stats here says it
- 6:20all. How can a 32,000 views give you
- 6:23only 31 subscribers and not even up to
- 6:25900 watch hours? The average duration
- 6:27was low, and that should tell me it's
- 6:29the script. You see, ChatGPT didn't
- 6:31understand human emotions. Even now, it
- 6:33still doesn't. So, if I just ask it to
- 6:36generate me a YouTube script with my
- 6:38topic, it's going to give me a generic
- 6:40result. So, I started learning the right
- 6:41way to prompt it, and after a couple of
- 6:43days, I came up with another script
- 6:45written by ChatGPT. I passed it to the
- 6:47editor. He made the video ready after a
- 6:49couple of days. Then when I published
- 6:51it, it got only 13 views in the first 12
- 6:53hours. In fact, I was about to give up
- 6:55on that channel because I thought of
- 6:57creating a new channel and uploading the
- 6:59new videos on it since the old channel
- 7:01isn't getting any views. But I opened my
- 7:03laptop the next day, and the video had
- 7:05around 5,000 views. And then after a
- 7:07couple of weeks, it picked out of
- 7:09nowhere. It got over 70,000 views with
- 7:12over 3,000 of watch time and 763
- 7:15subscribers. I repeated the same method,
- 7:17and I finally got monetized. Now, this
- 7:19channel has over 75 million views, and
- 7:22I've made more than 400 grand, and the
- 7:24channel is still active. But this time,
- 7:26I use AI to do all the work instead of
- 7:29paying people on Fiverr. I've even
- 7:30discovered this tool which gives me a
- 7:32realistic editing style, meaning the job
- 7:35is easier now. Like, the tool's designed
- 7:37in a way that I just have to give it my
- 7:39video idea, and it'll do the research
- 7:41and write the script you've hired a
- 7:43professional script writer. And it also
- 7:44edited them with real footage and
- 7:47realistic motion graphics. Once it's
- 7:49done with the video, it'll give you a
- 7:50clickable title and thumbnails, then
- 7:52generate an optimized video description.
- 7:54So, all you need is to spend time on
- 7:56finding a killer video idea. You know,
- 7:58I've been using it for the past 3 months
- 8:00now, and because of that, I started
- 8:02another channel just 2 weeks ago. And as
- 8:04you can see, with only four videos, I've
- 8:07been able to monetize it. That's because
- 8:09the history niche is the fastest way to
- 8:11grow on YouTube. All you need is a good
- 8:13editor. But since good editors are
- 8:15charging not less than 50 bucks per
- 8:17video, I recommend you use AI tool. Let
- 8:19me show you something. If you go to
- 8:21YouTube and search for history,
- 8:23you'll realize almost every video you
- 8:25see here has a good amount of views, and
- 8:27it doesn't matter if the channel's
- 8:29small. And according to vidIQ, the
- 8:31history niche is getting more than 20
- 8:33million views every hour. Although the
- 8:35competition is high, but this niche has
- 8:37lots of audience. That's why this
- 8:39channel was monetized with only four
- 8:41videos. And just look at the views. I
- 8:43even hit 1.3 million in about 6 days or
- 8:46so. And you can also do this, because
- 8:48I'm not using any special tricks. All
- 8:50right? Now that you already know how to
- 8:51create and optimize your channel for
- 8:53easy discovery. Next is how I find
- 8:55trending ideas, then I'll go ahead and
- 8:57show you the AI tool that I use. All
- 8:59right, when it comes to finding a viral
- 9:01video idea, most of you start everything
- 9:04from scratch, and that's another
- 9:05mistake. See, when you're starting a new
- 9:07channel, you can't just ask ChatGPT or
- 9:09Claude to give you ideas and expert
- 9:12views. Your channel will die. You need
- 9:14to follow these simple rules. First is
- 9:16to find videos with an outlier score
- 9:18above 20. But if you really want to grow
- 9:19fast, then you have to do extra work by
- 9:22finding the ones with outlier score
- 9:23above 50. Let me show you. Head to vidIQ
- 9:26and click on research.
- 9:28Now, in the search bar, enter
- 9:30documentary or, let's say, history.
- 9:34Next, go to videos.
- 9:36Now, if you check the videos, you'll
- 9:37notice these red buttons on them. That's
- 9:39the outlier score. Like this one is 10,
- 9:42this has 14, this one has 39, and so on.
- 9:45Once you get that, then you move on to
- 9:47rule number two, which is the views per
- 9:49hour, and that's the number next to the
- 9:51outlier. You need to check if people are
- 9:53still interested in that topic. And for
- 9:55this, any number above 100 is fine if
- 9:57the video is 3 months old and above. But
- 9:59if the video is more than a year old,
- 10:02then look for any number above 20. One
- 10:04trick I use is to find videos that were
- 10:06posted for like 3 or 4 years ago. Then
- 10:09check if it's still getting above 20
- 10:11views. Like this one, for instance. If
- 10:14you click on it, you realize the video
- 10:15was published 4 years ago, but with over
- 10:1880 views per [music] hour, which is so
- 10:20good, and it also has good engagement.
- 10:22This is tell us people are really
- 10:24interested in this topic. Here's the
- 10:26truth. This is the most important part
- 10:28of the entire process, because the AI
- 10:30tool will handle the rest of the work.
- 10:32So, take your time and find a better
- 10:34idea. So, grab the idea.
- 10:39Then head to Cutly.io. Click on start
- 10:42generation,
- 10:45and sign up for an account. You'll get a
- 10:47dashboard like this. Now, what we're
- 10:49going to do here is simple. You see, we
- 10:51have two ways to create our video. The
- 10:53first one is by giving it your idea, and
- 10:55the second one is by using a voice over.
- 10:57This way, if you want to use your own
- 10:59voice, you can just record it and upload
- 11:01it here. Sincerely, I don't do that. So,
- 11:04head to the description, and you'll see
- 11:05a link to this master prompt. Just grab
- 11:07it from here,
- 11:13and go back to Cutly.io. Then paste it
- 11:16into this box.
- 11:17>> [music]
- 11:17>> You see, the reason for this prompt is
- 11:19because we want the AI to understand
- 11:21what we want. If you just give it the
- 11:22idea without any instructions, it'd
- 11:24generate the video for you, but might
- 11:26not give you the result you want. You'll
- 11:28then have to spend time editing or
- 11:30regenerating it over again. All right,
- 11:32let's replace these texts with the topic
- 11:34we got. Now click here and set your
- 11:36video length.
- 11:38For this, you can go with the first
- 11:39option, which is 8 to 10 minutes. But if
- 11:42you want fast growth, you'll need more
- 11:43watching hours. So for that, you can go
- 11:45with the 20 to 22 minutes or 29 to 32.
- 11:49That way, if viewers watch only 5
- 11:51minutes of your videos, you'll need
- 11:52about 50,000 views to hit 4,000 watch
- 11:55hours. I know people will ask, "Hey
- 11:57Calm, the watch hours have been
- 11:59increased to 8,000." Well, that's
- 12:01February 2027. So you don't need to
- 12:03think about that. All right, go ahead
- 12:06and pick a voice.
- 12:08I'm not going to suggest any voice
- 12:10because most of you will end up with
- 12:11[music] the same voice. Now click on
- 12:13style
- 12:15and pick the one you like. For me, this
- 12:17is the style that I use because it
- 12:19matches the style that I was getting
- 12:20from the editor I hired on Fiverr. For
- 12:22the background music, YouTube is strict
- 12:24on copyright, so I recommend finding a
- 12:26cool background sound from the YouTube
- 12:28audio library. Then upload it here.
- 12:31That's what I personally do. Now you'll
- 12:33need a thumbnail, so click here.
- 12:37Pick the style you like.
- 12:39Next, go ahead and choose the caption
- 12:41style.
- 12:45Now you can hit on generate. [music]
- 12:50This is going to take some minutes
- 12:52depending on the length of the video. So
- 12:54while waiting, let me show you something
- 12:55that I forgot to tell you. You see, this
- 12:57is a paid tool and I'm not sponsored by
- 12:59them anyway. But if you think about
- 13:01hiring someone on Fiverr or Upwork or
- 13:03let's say 30 bucks for a video, you can
- 13:06use that 30 bucks for the starter plan
- 13:08at 29 bucks. [music] That will give you
- 13:10600 credits, meaning you can generate
- 13:12nine videos. Meanwhile, that 30 you paid
- 13:14to the guy you hired got you just one
- 13:16video. But if you do the calculations,
- 13:18you'll realize you're paying just three
- 13:20bucks for a video. And the creator plan
- 13:22gives you 31 videos for 99 bucks. So
- 13:25while you'd be paying about one grand
- 13:26for editors, you can just pay 99 bucks
- 13:29for the same quality. And that's a fact.
- 13:31You think about it, all right? The video
- 13:33is ready. Let's check the result.
- 13:35>> On the night of June 8th, 2018, a Utah
- 13:38family ate dinner on screen while
- 13:40audiences paid $10 to watch a
- 13:4213-year-old girl lose her head.
- 13:45On the telephone [music] pole that took
- 13:46her head, a seal had been cut into the
- 13:48wood. You have seen it. You did not know
- 13:51it was 400 years old. They called the
- 13:53[music] thing that wanted her brother
- 13:55Paimon.
- 13:56The film was Hereditary. It was the
- 13:57first feature from a 27-year-old theater
- 14:00kid [music] turned filmmaker.
- 14:02It premiered at Sundance on January
- 14:0321st, 2018. It cost $10 million.
- 14:07It made $80 million. Think of that as
- 14:10every seat in a multiplex sold.
- 14:12>> That's simply amazing. Now, if you
- 14:14scroll down, you'll see three
- 14:15thumbnails. Then you can see how it will
- 14:17look on the phone and PC.
- 14:20It's also added a title, description,
- 14:21and tags as well.
- 14:24So, all we need to do now is to click
- 14:26here to save the video.
- 14:28Then upload it to our channel.
- 14:34Now, since the title I got on vidIQ
- 14:36works so well, I'll maintain that.
- 14:39Next, I'll copy the description from
- 14:41here.
- 14:43Then paste it in the description box.
- 14:45Now, I'll go ahead and download all the
- 14:47three thumbnails.
- 14:51Then upload the one I think it's
- 14:53attention-grabbing.
- 14:56You can do AB testing, but I don't do
- 14:58that. I rather upload the first
- 14:59thumbnail, wait to see how it goes
- 15:01before deciding if I should change it.
- 15:03If I get a low CTR, like one or let's 2%
- 15:06in the 3 to 4 hours, I'll change it.
- 15:08Now, let's copy the tags.
- 15:12Then paste them here also. Once
- 15:14everything is okay, I don't just publish
- 15:16the video right away. I unlist the video
- 15:18for it to be properly processed.
- 15:22Let me show you something. If we click
- 15:23on content,
- 15:26then click the edit icon on the video we
- 15:28uploaded,
- 15:31then if we click on languages,
- 15:34you can see that we can choose the
- 15:36language of the video. Now, what this
- 15:38does is that it's going to generate
- 15:40automatic captions for the video and use
- 15:43those captions to translate the audio of
- 15:45the video into multiple languages, which
- 15:47means our voiceover will now be
- 15:49translated into Spanish, French, Hindi,
- 15:52Dutch, and most of the popular languages
- 15:54you know. And this will boost your reach
- 15:56because people who would skip your video
- 15:58because they don't understand the
- 15:59language of your video can now see and
- 16:01watch the video in their own language.
- 16:03So, I recommend you unlist the video for
- 16:05about 2 hours or wait for it to finish
- 16:07processing before you make the video
- 16:09public. If you're someone who's
- 16:10interested in making money with YouTube
