- 0:00Hi guys, what is up? Welcome back to my
- 0:01channel. Happy October. It's the start
- 0:04of a new month. You know what that
- 0:05means? We're sitting down. We're
- 0:06planning for the month ahead. I feel
- 0:08like by now we've all heard of a monthly
- 0:10reset, monthly reset, monthly admin day
- 0:14because I'm doing some administrative
- 0:15work for myself. We're going to plan out
- 0:18for the month ahead. Set some goals for
- 0:19October. Set up my budget for October.
- 0:22Do a little bit of reflecting. So sit
- 0:24down with me. Let's plan out our months
- 0:25together or put me on in the background
- 0:27like a podcast while you're working. Let
- 0:29me know what you're doing down below.
- 0:30What are you up to while you watch this
- 0:32video? If you are new here, just
- 0:33stumbling upon my reset video. Quick
- 0:36background about me. Hi, I'm Christa.
- 0:38I'm 28 years old. I live in Houston,
- 0:39[music] Texas. I just moved here a
- 0:41couple months ago from North Carolina.
- 0:43So, I'm still getting to know Texas.
- 0:45Still getting to know my new city. I do
- 0:47work a corporate job, but my channel is
- 0:49more of a lifestyle channel, so it's
- 0:50what I get into outside of work. I love
- 0:53health and wellness, taking care [music]
- 0:54of myself. I love fashion and beauty,
- 0:56reading. I'm just a girl at the end of
- 0:58the day. A 28-year-old woman getting
- 1:01through her later 20s now. So, if you
- 1:03like content like that, make sure you
- 1:05[music] subscribe and stick around. I
- 1:07have no plan for this video, you guys.
- 1:08We're just going to go through this kind
- 1:10of raw together. I'm taking a quick hour
- 1:12break from work and I was just in the
- 1:14mood to chitchat. So, I made myself a
- 1:16tea. Let's just jump right into it. It's
- 1:18going to be a chatty video for sure.
- 1:20Starting with my September goals. I only
- 1:22set three in each category, which I
- 1:24think was a good number because the
- 1:26months go by so freaking fast. I don't
- 1:29really have that much time [music] to do
- 1:31a million things. So, I think three
- 1:33goals in each category was good. Go to
- 1:36one group event. I did go to a group
- 1:38event and I'm actually going to another
- 1:39one tomorrow. Tomorrow is September
- 1:4230th, the last day of the month. And I
- 1:44will have gone to two group events in
- 1:46the month of September. something I'm
- 1:48trying to do to meet people, create
- 1:50community, make myself feel like I
- 1:52belong here in Houston. I would describe
- 1:55myself as like an introverted
- 1:56[clears throat] extrovert. I like to be
- 1:58social like once or twice a week. I
- 2:00would say that might be a lot for some
- 2:02people, that might be nothing for other
- 2:04people, but I really do like to hang out
- 2:06with people. It gets me out of my head,
- 2:08gets me out of my routine. I love to
- 2:10chitchat. So that's like the extroverted
- 2:13side of me. and then I'm happy spending
- 2:15the rest of my week being productive in
- 2:16my own routine. So, I'm just trying to
- 2:19put myself out there, meet new people,
- 2:21get out of my comfort zone, and I think
- 2:22I've been doing a pretty good job at it,
- 2:24honestly. Decorate for fall check. If
- 2:26you missed it, I did vlog me decorating
- 2:28for fall. This was my attempt to get
- 2:30into the fall spirit. It's definitely
- 2:34hard with it still being in the '9s here
- 2:36in Houston. I've been getting so jealous
- 2:38seeing people on YouTube that I'm
- 2:40watching wear like their sweaters. They
- 2:43go outside and they say that they're
- 2:44cold and they need a windbreaker. I'm so
- 2:47jealous. I'm like, I still am in tank
- 2:49tops here. But I'm trying to do little
- 2:52things to make me feel the fall spirit.
- 2:55I know the weather will cool off here.
- 2:57It's just a matter of time. I just need
- 2:58to be patient. So, decorate for fall. I
- 3:01did do that and then do one fall themed
- 3:03activity. I did quite a bit of baking.
- 3:06So, I baked pumpkin bread and pumpkin
- 3:09cookies. Both of those were like my fall
- 3:11activity for the month of September. So,
- 3:14I've dipped my toe into fall, I would
- 3:17say. Wellness goals for September. First
- 3:19one was to increase my protein intake to
- 3:21100 g of protein 5 days a week. I wasn't
- 3:24tracking, so it's so hard for me to
- 3:26check this off. I definitely was way
- 3:28more intentional. I was going out of my
- 3:30way when I was snacking to try to have
- 3:32high protein snacks versus crackers. I
- 3:36feel like I did good with this, but it's
- 3:37so hard because I wasn't actually
- 3:38tracking it, but I think I'm going to
- 3:40check it off. I think I'm doing a lot
- 3:41better with eating more protein. Do four
- 3:44workout classes. I did not do four
- 3:46workout classes. One reason is I was out
- 3:50of town for almost an entire week, which
- 3:52took up a lot of the time that I would
- 3:54do a workout class. And the second
- 3:56reason is we have two cars now, but one
- 3:58of our cars needed a repair. So, it was
- 4:00in the shop for a little bit over a
- 4:02week. That's another reason I wasn't
- 4:03able to go to my workout classes because
- 4:05we were back to sharing one car and that
- 4:07makes it a little bit difficult for me
- 4:08to get to a workout class. So, I only
- 4:10did two workout classes in September.
- 4:13Something I definitely want to do better
- 4:15about in October. Go on a walk in a new
- 4:17place. Yes, I did do this. I found a
- 4:19walking trail that I really like. It's
- 4:21very pretty. You go by all kinds of
- 4:23beautiful houses. I really liked this
- 4:24goal because it pushed me to explore a
- 4:27new area, find a new area that I liked.
- 4:29And I actually ended up walking on this
- 4:31trail like three times this month
- 4:33because I realized how much I really
- 4:34liked it. It was much more pleasant
- 4:36walking experience than where I live. I
- 4:39can check off go and walk in a new
- 4:40place. Financial
- 4:42save and invest 30% of post tax income.
- 4:45No, you guys, I'm so sad about this, but
- 4:48it is what it is. Things happen out of
- 4:51your control. Like I said, reason I
- 4:53couldn't go to four workout classes is
- 4:54because we had an unexpected car repair
- 4:57in the month of September. I was not
- 4:59thrilled about it if I'm being honest
- 5:00you guys. But there's nothing I can do
- 5:02about it. It's out of my hands. It was
- 5:04worth it to do the repair. So I think I
- 5:06was only able to save slashinvest about
- 5:0815% of our income. So definitely not
- 5:12where I like to be on a monthly basis.
- 5:14But we'll make up for it in October.
- 5:16That's life. Unexpected things happen.
- 5:18That's why we save and invest so that
- 5:20when unexpected things happen, if you
- 5:22need it, you have that nest egg there
- 5:24for you. Luckily, we were able to pay
- 5:26for the repair out of pocket and still
- 5:28save a little bit. Just wasn't able to
- 5:31save that full 30% that I wanted to.
- 5:33Prioritize spending on home office. Yes,
- 5:36I definitely did this. I did spend quite
- 5:38a bit on the home this month, but all of
- 5:40it was for my office. I didn't buy any
- 5:42decorations that I didn't need or really
- 5:45anything for the home besides furniture
- 5:48for the office. Lower dining bill from
- 5:50August. Yes, we definitely did this. We
- 5:52still have 2 days left in September, but
- 5:55I don't think we're going to be going
- 5:56out to eat the next 2 days. So
- 5:58September, we only spent $396 on dining
- 6:01out. And in August, we spent $1,229.
- 6:07Way, way, way over in August. I don't
- 6:09even know how that happened. We
- 6:10literally spent a fourth of what we
- 6:12spent in August in September. So super
- 6:15proud of us for that. I can check that
- 6:17off. We had a much lower dining bill in
- 6:20September. While we're looking
- 6:22backwards, let's go back to my book
- 6:24tracker. I want to update the books that
- 6:27I've read for the year. So, I finished
- 6:29The Poison Daughter, five stars. I loved
- 6:31it. I've talked about it in quite a few
- 6:33vlogs, so I will not bore you with it
- 6:35here, but I did finish that in
- 6:37September. And then I also read The
- 6:38Women by Kristen Hannah, which is a
- 6:41historical fiction. I can't give half
- 6:44stars on here, but I give it like a 4.5.
- 6:46We'll put it as a four. And I also read
- 6:49that in September. So, we are at 10
- 6:51books for the year. Very much on track
- 6:54for my goal for the year, which is 12.
- 6:56It's possible I go over this. I'm
- 6:59currently reading yester year. I've been
- 7:01waiting to get that from my library
- 7:03forever, and I finally got it. So, that
- 7:05is my current read. And then we'll see
- 7:07what I get into after that. I'm thinking
- 7:09I want to reread Acatar because of the
- 7:12new Acatar book coming out, but there's
- 7:14also so many other books and serieses
- 7:15that I want to read. So, we'll see what
- 7:18I get into after yester year. Jumping
- 7:20over to my October goals. My goals
- 7:23honestly are a lot like a to-do list.
- 7:25It's things that I want to do this month
- 7:28to make me a better person, to make me
- 7:30continue to grow as a person. So, I'm
- 7:32going to try to do three for every
- 7:34single category. Again, I think that was
- 7:36a good number. Something I like really
- 7:38want to do is clean out my guest closet
- 7:40in October. My guest room closet is like
- 7:43a storage closet, which I think is
- 7:44inevitable in any space. Even us moving
- 7:47into this bigger house into more space.
- 7:50You still need storage for stuff like
- 7:52holiday decorations, pillows, sheets,
- 7:54and the closet just becomes that area,
- 7:57but it's actually overflowing. When I
- 7:59open the door, things fall on me. So, I
- 8:02need to spend some time cleaning out the
- 8:03guest closet. In September, I did
- 8:06something fall by baking, but in
- 8:07October, I want to have one fall
- 8:10experience. So, I either want to go to
- 8:13like a pumpkin patch, the farmers
- 8:15market, something outside. I feel like I
- 8:19want to go somewhere fall related. Oh, I
- 8:23want to have one dress up day per work
- 8:26week, which [laughter] is so unlike me
- 8:29because I live in workout clothes and I
- 8:32don't like to do my makeup. you guys
- 8:33know, especially when I'm working from
- 8:35home. But I do feel so much better and I
- 8:37genuinely have a better day when I do
- 8:39take care of myself, get ready, put on a
- 8:41normal outfit. So, I'm going to try to
- 8:42do it once a work week. So, Monday
- 8:45through Friday, I have to do it one of
- 8:46the days. And I mean like actually get
- 8:48dressed, not just leggings. I want to
- 8:51try to get ready once a week, see how it
- 8:54makes me feel. Maybe I'll really like it
- 8:56and then I'll want to do it more. So,
- 8:58that's another goal that I have. One
- 9:00more goal. I want to brick average 20
- 9:05hours a day. So, we're going to do four
- 9:06personal goals. I got the brick, which
- 9:08is a physical device that locks you out
- 9:10of your apps that you choose. And it
- 9:12makes it a lot more difficult to get
- 9:14into the apps. You have to physically go
- 9:16down wherever your brick is and scan the
- 9:18brick and it makes you really think
- 9:20twice about it. So, I want to average 4
- 9:22hours a day. I want my total screen time
- 9:24to be like under 4 hours, I would say.
- 9:27So, if I'm bricked for 20 of those
- 9:30hours, hopefully I can get my screen
- 9:31time down. My screen time is not
- 9:33terrible, but I do find such a
- 9:36difference when I'm off my phone in my
- 9:38mental health. Sunday, my screen time
- 9:40was 3 hours and 9 minutes. Yesterday, it
- 9:42was 3 hours and 53 minutes. I'm at an
- 9:45hour and 50 minutes so far today. But, a
- 9:48lot of that screen time is my messages
- 9:50or my photos. So, I'm really just trying
- 9:52to get my social media screen time down,
- 9:55down, down as much as possible. So, I
- 9:57think if I have a brick average of 20
- 9:59hours a day, that will help me to stay
- 10:01off social media cuz that's the whole
- 10:03point of the brick. Wellness goals, I'm
- 10:05going to do take four workout classes
- 10:07again. I really want to meet this one
- 10:09this month. The fact that I was not able
- 10:10to do it in September is like a
- 10:12challenge for me in October. We're going
- 10:14to do workout classes once a week. I go
- 10:16to the gym almost every day, but I like
- 10:18the variety that a workout class gives
- 10:20me. I think I want to do walk six days a
- 10:23week, one plus hour. I give myself one
- 10:25day to do absolutely nothing. But I like
- 10:28to walk on my walking pad every day, at
- 10:30least an hour. So that's 5 days right
- 10:32there. And then one day on the weekend
- 10:34to go on a walk. I think that's good. I
- 10:36honestly think the brick goal is kind of
- 10:38a wellness goal to decrease my screen
- 10:40time. So I'm going to put it over here
- 10:41on wellness. And then I have three
- 10:43personal, three wellness. Financial
- 10:46goals. I want to save/invest 40% of
- 10:49take-home income. The reason for this is
- 10:52to make up for September. And also, it
- 10:54is a three paycheck month in October.
- 10:57Best month ever. I love a three paycheck
- 10:59month. So, we will be able to save and
- 11:01invest more as long as we don't have any
- 11:03other unexpected expenses come up. So,
- 11:06instead of my normal 30% goal, I'm going
- 11:08to increase it to 40 so that we can kind
- 11:10of make up for September a little bit.
- 11:13And I want to actually
- 11:16spend my fun money guilt-free because I
- 11:20always set fun money aside every single
- 11:22month. And I usually don't spend it. If
- 11:24I give myself 250 bucks, I might spend a
- 11:26hundred of it. So I want to actually
- 11:27spend my fun money. I want to buy
- 11:29myself, I don't know, some probably
- 11:31clothes, knowing me, some clothes, maybe
- 11:33some makeup, something that I want. I
- 11:36want to actually spend my fun money.
- 11:38It's important to enjoy life. And I
- 11:40think sometimes I get so caught up in my
- 11:42goals and things I want bigger picture.
- 11:45Sometimes I don't treat myself as much
- 11:47as I think I should. I'm all about
- 11:49balance. I want to save and invest for
- 11:52the future but also enjoy today a little
- 11:55bit. And last goal to balance that out
- 11:58spending on myself, invest into taxable
- 12:02brokerage, which really goes handinhand
- 12:04with my first goal there, the save and
- 12:06invest 40%. But I'm just putting kind of
- 12:08an extra check box to make sure that I
- 12:10actually invest the money. A lot of
- 12:12times with post tax income, I just want
- 12:14to save it and I just want to hoard it
- 12:16away. But investing is so important. So
- 12:19I really need to make that a check for
- 12:21myself that I'm actually investing every
- 12:23single month. These are the goals for
- 12:24October. It's going to be a pretty chill
- 12:26month, but every single month I'm just
- 12:27pushing myself to be better, keep
- 12:29growing, keep saving, and keep having
- 12:32fun. for content that you guys can
- 12:34expect for the month. One, I'm going to
- 12:36try to jump back into short form. I know
- 12:38I'm the worst. I literally just cannot
- 12:41be consistent with short form. And I'm
- 12:42not here to say try being an influencer
- 12:45for the day. I don't think being an
- 12:47influencer is hard. It is timeconuming.
- 12:50It's super timeconuming. It takes up a
- 12:52lot of time. Editing in particular, if
- 12:54you're working with brands, there is a
- 12:56lot of back and forth. And when you're
- 12:57also working a corporate job, it can be
- 13:00hard to balance all of it. Being an
- 13:02influencer is so much fun. It's such a
- 13:04lucky job to have. You get to literally
- 13:06be yourself and share your life online.
- 13:08You get to work with super fun brands.
- 13:10Like, it's such a cool job. It's
- 13:12definitely not hard in comparison to so
- 13:14many other jobs that I've worked. It
- 13:16just takes up a lot of time. It can be
- 13:18very timeconuming. And for that reason,
- 13:19it can be tiring and it can be a lot to
- 13:21balance when you're trying to live your
- 13:24life, have a social life, have
- 13:25relationships, work a corporate job.
- 13:27That can be draining in its own account.
- 13:29And then after you've done all that,
- 13:31you're trying to side hustle, edit, stay
- 13:33organized. That part is hard. And for
- 13:35that reason, I fall off of my lowest
- 13:38priority item, which is short form
- 13:40content. I fall off of it literally all
- 13:42the time. But I've got another bit of
- 13:45motivation that has hit me for some
- 13:46reason this week. And so this week, I
- 13:48decided October I'm going to try to get
- 13:51back into short form content. If you
- 13:52don't follow me over on TikTok, I'll try
- 13:54to post the content on YouTube shorts as
- 13:58well. That is some content you can
- 14:00expect from me. I've already filmed a
- 14:02couple things. I've got them drafted,
- 14:04ready to go. So hopefully you'll be
- 14:06seeing that from me shortly. For
- 14:08YouTube, I did ask you guys to send over
- 14:11any requests, recommendations for videos
- 14:14that you're interested in, and I've
- 14:16written them all down. So, I'm going to
- 14:18be brainstorming how to incorporate
- 14:19those in the future. But for October,
- 14:22how I like to plan out my content is I
- 14:24take a look at my calendar. I look at
- 14:25when I'm actually gonna be home when I'm
- 14:28free to film because basically if I have
- 14:31company or if I'm traveling, I'm usually
- 14:34not filming. But October is like almost
- 14:36wide open. I'm only out of town one
- 14:38weekend in October. So, I have more time
- 14:40than usual, I would say, to film. So,
- 14:42October, you're going to get my October
- 14:45reset. This video, I'm filming a week of
- 14:48evening routines that will be coming up
- 14:52next. You guys will be seeing it
- 14:54shortly. Then I'm just gonna do like a
- 14:56few days in my life weekend fall vlog.
- 14:59Hopefully I can do some fall things this
- 15:01coming up weekend and take you guys
- 15:03along with me. I think I want to do
- 15:04another what I spend in a week living in
- 15:06Houston. I'm going to get my home office
- 15:09makeover video up for you guys in
- 15:11October. I don't think the office will
- 15:13be like 110% complete, but I've
- 15:16definitely made a lot of progress and
- 15:18I'm ready to get that video up for you
- 15:20guys. And then any other changes that I
- 15:23make, I can just update you in the
- 15:25vlogs. But I do have a full video of me
- 15:27putting together the office, shopping
- 15:29for everything coming up soon. And
- 15:32lastly, I'm going to New Orleans with
- 15:34one of my best friends for a weekend,
- 15:35and I'm going to vlog the weekend with
- 15:37her. It's going to be so much fun. I
- 15:39miss her. I love her. She lives in
- 15:42Atlanta. I'm in Houston. And we were
- 15:43like trying to decide who was going to
- 15:45visit who first. And then we just
- 15:47decided why don't we meet in the middle
- 15:49somewhere new that neither of us have
- 15:50really gotten to experience. So, we're
- 15:52going to New Orleans for the weekend.
- 15:53So, if you have any New Orleans wrecks,
- 15:55drop them down below because I have not
- 15:57made any type of itinerary yet, but I'm
- 15:59really excited to go. I'm really excited
- 16:00to vlog it and bring you guys along. So,
- 16:03those are the six videos that you can
- 16:05expect in October, assuming nothing
- 16:08changes. I finally feel like I'm in an
- 16:10area with the budget since the move in
- 16:12June that things are pretty stable that
- 16:16I know what our monthly expenses look
- 16:19like, which is a pretty good feeling.
- 16:22Obviously, unless we have unexpected
- 16:24expenses like car repairs, our bills and
- 16:27subscriptions, I'm feeling pretty good
- 16:29about. September was on track to be such
- 16:32a good month if it wasn't for the car
- 16:34repair. I was so excited about it. We
- 16:36were under budget on almost everything.
- 16:39So, it was going to be a really good
- 16:40savings month. But again, things happen.
- 16:43It's out of our control. It is what it
- 16:44is. But I think September was a good
- 16:46example that we were in like a really
- 16:48stable place with the budget. Finally,
- 16:51after what felt like a lot of money
- 16:54coming in and out with the move and
- 16:56everything, we've finally stabilized.
- 16:59And I would like to stay stabilized for
- 17:02the foreseeable future. Knock on wood.
- 17:04Oh my goodness. Please, knock on wood.
- 17:07In September, we came under on
- 17:09groceries. We came under on dining out.
- 17:12I came under on coffee. I only spent
- 17:14$346
- 17:16on coffee in September. Home, I budgeted
- 17:19$900 and I came right on track at
- 17:21$859.13.
- 17:24I bought a bookcase for the office and
- 17:27also a mirror and a table. So, that was
- 17:30the total. I bought kind of a bunch of
- 17:31furniture for the office in September. I
- 17:34came under on my fun money. I only spent
- 17:36$182 out of 200. See, I had $20 more. I
- 17:40could have gotten something cute for
- 17:42myself. 100 of it was my newly. I did
- 17:45spend 66 on the brick and then $9.89 on
- 17:50question mark. I didn't put what it was,
- 17:52so not sure what that was. The only two
- 17:54categories we went over on, one being
- 17:57health and medical. I got another
- 18:00unexpected bill in the mail from my
- 18:03doctor in Charlotte for $185.81.
- 18:07That put us over my original health and
- 18:09medical budget. And then we went over on
- 18:13miscellaneous by $15. Miscellaneous
- 18:16should really be called Amazon,
- 18:18honestly, because I'll order a bunch of
- 18:20things on Amazon that don't necessarily
- 18:22fit into one [snorts] category. It might
- 18:24be like some makeup for me and some dog
- 18:26treats and I don't know which category
- 18:29to put that into so I always just throw
- 18:30it into miscellaneous. So yeah, the
- 18:32miscellaneous was two different Amazon
- 18:34orders and some protein powder for a
- 18:36total of 16511 on miscellaneous which is
- 18:40about 15 over what I budgeted for. So
- 18:43overall was a really good month besides
- 18:45the carb repair. That one we're done
- 18:47talking about it. Moving over to
- 18:49October, I'm just going to paste in the
- 18:51values from September for bills and
- 18:53subscriptions. I think my electric
- 18:55should go down a little bit because it
- 18:57is starting to cool off here. So, I'm
- 18:59going to budget 215 in October. It was
- 19:02235 in September, which is the highest
- 19:04bill that we've gotten so far. My pet
- 19:06insurance has gone up quite a bit
- 19:09because Franklin turned one year older,
- 19:11and every year that your pet turns
- 19:13older, your pet insurance goes up. So,
- 19:15I'm paying about 150 a month now for
- 19:17both Franklin and Shinji, but worth
- 19:20every penny. I love my pet insurance.
- 19:22Copying over subscriptions and
- 19:24memberships. Nothing should really
- 19:26change here. And expenses for groceries,
- 19:31you guys know my sweet spot is 1,000.
- 19:33Dining out, I'm going to do 500. Coffee,
- 19:3660 is working for me. Car, I really hope
- 19:40we don't have any more car expenses. So,
- 19:42besides gas, I'm going to put 150 for
- 19:46gas. We'll see. Home. I'm pretty much
- 19:49done with the office. I do want to
- 19:50finish it up and I probably just need to
- 19:52get like a couple more things. Like I
- 19:53would love some big artwork for behind
- 19:56me here. So, let's get myself 300 bucks
- 19:58for the home to try to wrap everything
- 20:00up. Health and medical. I do have a
- 20:03couple doctor's appointments in October.
- 20:06Let's say 150. Beauty. I'm getting a
- 20:09chemical peel. I've been tempted to go
- 20:12back to getting my nails done. The only
- 20:13thing holding me back at this point is I
- 20:15hate sitting there. I literally am so
- 20:18impatient. I hate sitting there for as
- 20:20long as you have to sit there. So, I
- 20:22keep going back and forth. I'm going to
- 20:23say 200, which will cover my chemical
- 20:26peel and then like an extra 50 bucks if
- 20:28I want to go get a pedicure or
- 20:30something. Pets were taken care of in
- 20:32September. Don't need to go to the vet
- 20:34anymore, so I can budget my normal 150.
- 20:37Transportation is if we take Ubers or
- 20:39anything. Let's say 50. Entertainment,
- 20:42let's say 50. Travel will be just my New
- 20:44Orleans weekend, which I do still need
- 20:46to pay for half of my hotel for that.
- 20:48They don't charge us until we actually
- 20:50go there. I don't actually know what I
- 20:52owe for that, so I might have to adjust
- 20:53this at some point. But I'm going to say
- 20:55$800, honestly, cuz the fact that I have
- 20:57to pay for the hotel and then on top of
- 20:59that, I'll put any like food charges or
- 21:01anything like that on here. I'm trying
- 21:03to see if I can find where she sent me a
- 21:07screenshot of the hotel cost, but Oh,
- 21:10wait. There we go. Okay, so I'm gonna
- 21:11about $600 for the hotel for three
- 21:14nights. So, this might need to be
- 21:16higher. Actually, let's put this at
- 21:181,000. So, 600 for the hotel that I'll
- 21:20owe her and then that gives me another
- 21:22400 spending money for the weekend. So,
- 21:24mainly going to be restaurants, drinks,
- 21:26stuff like that. We'll say 1,000 there.
- 21:29Gifts, I'll throw in 100. Miscellaneous,
- 21:31150. We are at $8,000 so far and it is a
- 21:36three paycheck month like I said. So I
- 21:39want to give me and Will both some more
- 21:41fun money. So we're gonna do 500 for
- 21:42phone money each this month because it's
- 21:44a three paycheck month. Yes, we are
- 21:46definitely going to be saving a lot
- 21:47more. But I also want to give me and
- 21:48Will a little bit more fun money each
- 21:51because I treat a third paycheck month
- 21:53like a little bonus. So I would say like
- 21:5590% of it I like to go towards saving
- 21:58and investing. But we get to have a
- 22:00little bit of fun with it as well. It's
- 22:02a bonus. You worked to earn it. So,
- 22:05usually I give us about 250 fund money.
- 22:08I'm going to give us 500 each to have a
- 22:10little fun with our bonus that we're
- 22:12getting this month. And everything else
- 22:14will be going into saving and investing
- 22:16between the future fund and the taxable
- 22:18brokerage. Should be a pretty good month
- 22:20on the savings end, which I'm always
- 22:22excited about. I know I just kept this
- 22:24super short and sweet, but that's
- 22:25exactly what I like to do to get ready
- 22:27for the month ahead. I like to look back
- 22:29on my goals for the previous month. And
- 22:32in September, we hit seven out of nine
- 22:34goals. So, a 78%
- 22:37success rate. I'm okay with that. I aim
- 22:39for like 75%, so that's fine. And then
- 22:42looked at what books I read in
- 22:43September. I read two books. That's
- 22:45really good for me. Set nine new goals
- 22:48for October. Planned out our content for
- 22:50October that you guys can expect from
- 22:52me. And set the budget for the new
- 22:54month. Reflected on September spending a
- 22:56little bit. If you made it all the way
- 22:58to the end of the video, comment down
- 22:59below what one of your goals is for
- 23:01October. If you set goals, maybe I will
- 23:04copy you. I feel like I need a little
- 23:05bit of inspiration with my goals. I feel
- 23:07like a lot of times they're just a to-do
- 23:09list. So, I would be interested in what
- 23:12your goals are that you set for October
- 23:15and maybe I will take some inspiration,
- 23:17copy you guys for the next month. Hope
- 23:20you enjoyed planning the new month with
- 23:22me [music] and I hope all of you have a
- 23:23wonderful October. I will see you all so
- 23:25very soon in my next one. Bye guys.
