- 0:00Zack Shannon
- 0:01I'm going to do two more.
- 0:03Zack Shannon, how do you know a pain
- 0:04point is strong enough to build a
- 0:05business around?
- 0:06Uh people give you money for it.
- 0:09It's kind of interesting when I get this
- 0:10kind of question. It's like, how do I
- 0:12know that people will like this? Ask
- 0:14them to buy it. And if they give you
- 0:16money, then it will be strong enough of
- 0:18a business. If no one wants your thing,
- 0:20then it is not strong enough. You can
- 0:22literally take the money and then like a
- 0:25different way of doing this is you can
- 0:26try to pre-sell stuff and say, "Hey, I'm
- 0:27going to be building this thing. You can
- 0:29buy it ahead of time." This is the
- 0:30nature of Kickstarter. Um but like do
- 0:33not ask people if they think that your
- 0:36idea is good cuz they will tell you yes.
- 0:37Do not ask people if you if they think
- 0:39they would buy it cuz they will tell you
- 0:40yes. Ask them to buy it and if they buy
- 0:44it, then they will buy it.
- 0:47All right.
