Full transcript
- 0:00I'll be honest with you. This video is
- 0:01going to be a difficult video for me to
- 0:04make. I don't usually talk about myself
- 0:06much, but in this video I am. Because if
- 0:08you're trying to make money with AI and
- 0:10automation, and if you feel stuck, no
- 0:12client, watching tutorial after
- 0:14tutorial, not sure how to actually make
- 0:16money from that, then my story is the
- 0:19exact thing I wish someone told me when
- 0:21I was passing out from my college or I
- 0:23when I was younger. By the end of this
- 0:25video you will know how I actually did
- 0:27it and playbook to do it yourself. And
- 0:29if you are a running a business and if
- 0:31you are stuck getting a client, this
- 0:32video can be for you as well. So stay
- 0:33with me. I started to my career as an
- 0:35intern earning 7,000 rupees per month.
- 0:387,000. Years later when I quit my job,
- 0:41at the time I was earning 40 lakh
- 0:43annually sitting on a comfortable remote
- 0:45job because my company was in US and
- 0:48then I walked away with no kind of a
- 0:50backup plan of joining the job. And the
- 0:52first client I landed that paid me
- 0:54$5,000 and then $10,000 and many more
- 0:57projects through the networks. Everyone
- 0:58wants to learn how to make money using
- 1:00AI and automation because they don't
- 1:02want to stay behind in this AI era. But
- 1:05the internet is a full of people who
- 1:07gives you a false promise of earning
- 1:09lakhs in 30 days. In this video I'm not
- 1:11going to do that. Instead, I'm going to
- 1:13show you how to actually make money in
- 1:15this AI and automation era through my
- 1:17real journey, the background, the
- 1:19mistake, the grinds nobody told you, and
- 1:21the exact playbook from where the client
- 1:23came from, then how to create an amazing
- 1:26proposal, how to create a proper system
- 1:28which can help you to track each and
- 1:30every client you have, the leads you
- 1:32have, how to do the proper follow-ups.
- 1:34So stick around because by the end you
- 1:36will know exactly how to do it.
- 1:38>> [music]
- 1:40>> So let me take back to the time when I
- 1:42just passed out from my college. At the
- 1:44time, my only motto was to learn the
- 1:46skill and upgrade myself. So my first
- 1:48job was in an AI startup called as Daten
- 1:51and Weizen. I was the first employee to
- 1:52join as an intern earning 7,000 rupees
- 1:54per month. Honestly, that's nothing. But
- 1:57the years what that job gave me. I was
- 1:58the only person in the room when
- 2:00somebody needed to build anything,
- 2:02nobody could do it because obviously I
- 2:04was the first employee and it landed on
- 2:05me. I was building machine learning
- 2:07model from scratch and when it was time
- 2:09to integrate the machine learning model
- 2:10inside the website, I had to learn the
- 2:12full stack development, the front end,
- 2:14the back end, how the database works. So
- 2:15I was juggling and handling everything
- 2:18because I was placed on the client side.
- 2:19So I taught myself everything from
- 2:22scratch. No one was there to tell me do
- 2:24this, do that. time I left, I had gone
- 2:26from a solo intern to managing nine to
- 2:2910 people team over there and my salary
- 2:30had grown from 7,000 rupees per month to
- 2:348 lakh annually. [music]
- 2:35I know that is also not much, but at the
- 2:37time it was great. The win wasn't the
- 2:39money. The win was the confidence which
- 2:41I gained by talking to the people who
- 2:44are earning crores over there because
- 2:45they are handling a big company which
- 2:47was listed in the stock market. I cannot
- 2:49name the client, okay? Then the skill
- 2:51which I grew, I learned the machine
- 2:53learning, I learned how the
- 2:55full stack work, like the front end, the
- 2:57back end, the database and that's the
- 2:58skill that pay you for your life. Then
- 3:00next, I joined my second company which
- 3:02is called as Kuhoo. They had just raised
- 3:04the 20 million dollar and I was their
- 3:06first back end employee, okay? So I
- 3:08joined as a senior software engineer,
- 3:10mainly working in the back end job. And
- 3:12here's the things started getting
- 3:13serious. So at Kuhoo, we were building
- 3:15the entire loan application. So from the
- 3:18time the user come into our application
- 3:20till the time we disburse the loan in
- 3:22tranches. So we had done the DigiLocker
- 3:25integration, CIBIL integration, penny
- 3:27drop verification, bank disbursement
- 3:28flows and when you are handling the
- 3:30people's loan with the real money, your
- 3:33system cannot have bugs. So I led a team
- 3:36of six to seven people and then I left
- 3:38the job at 20 lakh per year. So what was
- 3:40the lesson from Kuhoo? That when the
- 3:42real money is online, the reliability is
- 3:45the key. That mindset, that building
- 3:47things that actually holds up in the
- 3:48production, that's what client pay
- 3:51premium for. You will get tons and tons
- 3:53of people who are saying that I got this
- 3:54particular job, I got this particular
- 3:56lead, but that lead won't be paying them
- 3:58in lakhs or crores until and unless the
- 4:00person who is delivering give them a
- 4:02production-ready premium outcome. That's
- 4:04what I learned in my second company. And
- 4:06then came my last job. This was also a
- 4:08startup, so I'll tell you why I'm
- 4:09joining startup in a bit. So, my last
- 4:11company was called as View Pro. It was a
- 4:13US-based pharma tech company. It is a
- 4:16fully remote, okay? I was getting 40
- 4:18lakh a year, and yours, I built a system
- 4:21called as Ria. This was a rag-based
- 4:22system. So, we were scraping out the
- 4:25open-source pharmaceutical research
- 4:26paper. They were in millions, okay? And
- 4:29we had created a rag system where a
- 4:31client, if they wanted to do research
- 4:33about any kind of a product or they are
- 4:36want to invent or discover something,
- 4:38instead of going online and searching
- 4:40for papers, we had scraped all the paper
- 4:42into our system. They could ask any kind
- 4:44of a questions from millions of
- 4:46document, and they would get answer
- 4:48instantly. This is where I went deep in
- 4:50LLM, AI product development, and rag
- 4:53architecture. The exact stuff that
- 4:55exploding right now. And the lesson I
- 4:56learned, AI solves real painful problem
- 5:00which people have, but they have never
- 5:02noticed. So, looking back into my
- 5:03journey, first the AI company, then
- 5:05fintech startup, then again the AI
- 5:07product itself from going from 7,000
- 5:09rupees to 40 lakh a year, and the whole
- 5:12time every single skill stacked upon one
- 5:15after the other. ML led to full stack,
- 5:17full stack led to back end at scale
- 5:19production level, then AI product.
- 5:21Nothing was wasted. And one thing to
- 5:23make sure, I was in a startup. And I'll
- 5:25tell you why I was joining startup,
- 5:27because when I was in college, one of my
- 5:29senior told me, "If you want to learn,
- 5:31don't go in MNC." MNCs are like a uh big
- 5:34big companies like Reliance, TCS,
- 5:36Accenture. So, when I was in college, I
- 5:38got a placement from uh TCS and Jio, but
- 5:41I did not accept that, and I went for a
- 5:43startup at a lower price. Because keep
- 5:45one thing in mind, whatever you do in
- 5:47your life, money is just an outcome. The
- 5:49skill which you will develop, the
- 5:50confidence which you will develop, the
- 5:52communication skill which you will with
- 5:53which you will talk to the people is the
- 5:55one which will compound and give you
- 5:56more and more money. Now, here's the
- 5:58part of the story nobody puts in their
- 6:00video of how to make money with AI
- 6:02because it's not sexy. From the very
- 6:04start of my career, I was working 10 to
- 6:0712 hours. No one was forcing me. No one
- 6:09sat on me and told me that you have to
- 6:11work 10 to 12 hours. My company didn't
- 6:14demand it. I did demand it because I
- 6:15didn't came from a rich background. I
- 6:17was a lower middle class person. So,
- 6:19there were things which I wanted. There
- 6:21are dreams which I want to achieve.
- 6:23There are goals which I will pursue. So,
- 6:25from the beginning of my career, the
- 6:27skill is the one which I have given the
- 6:29most priority and not the money as I
- 6:31mentioned. So, my focus was never on the
- 6:33money. My focus was the skill and I want
- 6:35to be very clear about why because this
- 6:36is the single most important mindset
- 6:38shift in this particular video. Money is
- 6:40the outcome. It is the result of being
- 6:42genuinely good at something for which
- 6:44people pay you. If you take money first,
- 6:46you take a shortcut and you do some
- 6:48shallow work for which you will you will
- 6:50be getting the money, but it won't
- 6:51compound in a long long race. But, if
- 6:54you chase skill, if you go deep, solve
- 6:57real problem, the money comes to you as
- 6:59almost as a side effect. This is not
- 7:00some motivational line. It's literally
- 7:02how my career played out. Every time my
- 7:04skill jumped, my income jumped after it.
- 7:07So, while I had my job, I was not just
- 7:09doing my job work, I was improving
- 7:11skills, I was watching tutorials
- 7:14on the YouTube on things, getting some
- 7:16kind of a paid courses because paid
- 7:18courses are the investment which will
- 7:19give you more return than mutual fund
- 7:20and stocks. I'm not telling to not
- 7:22invest in mutual fund and stock, but
- 7:23that's the later part. I won't go deep
- 7:25in this, but yeah. Buy yourself as much
- 7:27as course as you can. [music]
- 7:29It could be communication, it could be
- 7:30relationship, it could be technical
- 7:32skill which you want to improve. Learn
- 7:34that theoretically as well as
- 7:35practically and implement that in your
- 7:37life. So, I was doing my 9 to 5 and
- 7:39after that I was doing my 5 to 12. And
- 7:41in the 5 to 12, I was building my skill
- 7:43and side by side started my content
- 7:45creation journey. So, on October 2025, I
- 7:48left my job not because things weren't
- 7:50bad there. It was good job, good pay,
- 7:53comfortable life. And that's exactly why
- 7:55leaving is much harder than leaving any
- 7:58kind of a terrifying or bad job. It's
- 8:00always terrifying to leave a good one.
- 8:02But the best piece of advice I got from
- 8:04my CEO when there was a one-on-one call
- 8:06on my last day,
- 8:07he told me that if you're leaving a job,
- 8:09if you want to start your own business,
- 8:10you want to do freelancing, you want to
- 8:12launch your own products, never keep
- 8:14plan B in your mind. Always have plan B.
- 8:17What does this thing mean? So, people
- 8:18when they leave job, on the back of
- 8:19their head, they have plan B. That if my
- 8:22business or my product does not work
- 8:25out, I'll always go to my job which was
- 8:27paying me good because if I have my
- 8:29skill, I can get job anytime. And that
- 8:31makes your brain relax. That tells you
- 8:34that if thing doesn't work out, there is
- 8:35a exit door which I can go anytime. But
- 8:38if there is no plan B, you have to work
- 8:41so hard that you have to make your
- 8:43business work. There is no option going
- 8:45back. You have to do find a way, get a
- 8:47lead, get a client, close the deal, work
- 8:50on the project, and get the
- 8:52money on the table because you have a
- 8:54home which depends on you. Because you
- 8:56are the man, you have the
- 8:57responsibility, you have to feed the
- 8:59people who are there in your family. And
- 9:01there is no safety net. And one
- 9:02disclaimer, before leaving the job,
- 9:04always have a emergency window for you.
- 9:06At least 6 to 12 month. And I'm telling
- 9:08you this because you are not supposed to
- 9:10leave the job tomorrow. Because there
- 9:12are nuances which need to be completed
- 9:14first. What is the skill which I can use
- 9:16to get the money? What kind of a client
- 9:18will I get? How much money is there in
- 9:20my bank account? Because money having in
- 9:22your bank account is very important. It
- 9:24gives you freedom to work without
- 9:26thinking about of money for some amount
- 9:28of month. So, now let's understand how
- 9:29to actually make money. So, keeping
- 9:31story aside, I know it is a low long
- 9:32story. So, sorry for that. But let's get
- 9:34practical how to actually make money.
- 9:36Because you came here to understand how
- 9:38to actually make money in this field.
- 9:40And now I'll show you how to do it. For
- 9:41me, before I quit, I had had started my
- 9:44content creation. So, I was building my
- 9:46personal branding at that time. So, I
- 9:48had good good amount of connection
- 9:50people. So, I was getting inbound leads
- 9:52a lot from my LinkedIn, from my YouTube.
- 9:54That's the reason I was able to land the
- 9:56client. But don't worry, I know most of
- 9:58the people out there does not have any
- 10:00kind of a personal branding or content
- 10:01creation. But still, you can start
- 10:03making money. And also, I would highly
- 10:06recommend start creating a personal
- 10:07brand side by side showing showcasing
- 10:09your work what you're doing to the
- 10:11people so that they can know that this
- 10:12is a skill you have. So, whenever they
- 10:14have any kind of a need, they can come
- 10:16to you. So, now let's understand how to
- 10:17make money if you don't have any content
- 10:19creation, no personal branding. First,
- 10:20warm up your network. So, your friend,
- 10:22your cousins, your father's friend, your
- 10:24college batchmate, someone in your
- 10:26circle runs the business or work at one.
- 10:29A family friend with a shop, a uncle
- 10:31with a small factory, a friend doing a
- 10:33startup. They already trust you. And
- 10:35getting trust is the hardest part in
- 10:36this field. Just message them simply
- 10:38that, "Hey, I provide so-and-so
- 10:40services. Will consider WhatsApp." So,
- 10:42"Hey, I provide WhatsApp automation
- 10:43services which can help you to save time
- 10:46and stop losing your customer." So, that
- 10:48will be the fastest way to get your
- 10:50first client. Second, local businesses
- 10:52in your city. The restaurant you order
- 10:54from, the clinic you visit, the real
- 10:56estate broker, the jewelry showroom, the
- 10:58coaching classes. Every Indian city is
- 11:00full of them. And they all have the same
- 11:02problem. Let's say you want to work in
- 11:04the jewelry industry. So, there are so
- 11:06many jewelry industry. If you make one
- 11:08solution for one of the jewelry
- 11:10industry, you can resell the same
- 11:12solution to other jewelry and show the
- 11:14testimonial of what you did and how it
- 11:16impacted the jewelry showroom. So, for
- 11:18the first company, for the first jewelry
- 11:20showroom, you can actually do it for
- 11:22free. It's win-win for both of you. For
- 11:24jewelry showroom, they don't have to pay
- 11:25anything. For you, you're developing
- 11:27your testimonial, your own small jewelry
- 11:31product which you can resell to other
- 11:33people and you're building your skill.
- 11:34Third, cold outreach but done right.
- 11:37WhatsApp, LinkedIn work better than cold
- 11:39email in the Indian SMBs, small medium
- 11:42businesses. But never send, "Hi sir, I
- 11:44want to do the automation. Are you
- 11:45interested?" That is not going to work.
- 11:47>> [music]
- 11:47>> I get tons and tons of email that I can
- 11:49help you create the thumbnail. I can
- 11:52help you create the edit video. I can
- 11:54help you in the automation. I never read
- 11:57that email. If a person has sent me the
- 11:59WhatsApp message, then also I ignore it
- 12:01if this it's a generic and small message
- 12:03if I get. Your message should always
- 12:05contain some sort of information of how
- 12:07you are going to help the particular
- 12:09person and why that person need it. For
- 12:11example, "Hi Dr. Sharma, I noticed your
- 12:13cleaning gets appointment requests on
- 12:15WhatsApp, but somehow has to be replied
- 12:18manually.
- 12:19I built a bot that books appointment
- 12:21automatically even at night when you are
- 12:23sleeping. One to two minute demo so you
- 12:25can see specific problem, specific
- 12:27outcome. It's a tiny ask. Fourth,
- 12:29referral and partnership. So I had
- 12:31partnered with lots and lots of people,
- 12:34okay, who are just doing sales for me
- 12:36and they are getting amount of money
- 12:38whatever they want. I handle WhatsApp
- 12:39automations for their client, so I don't
- 12:42have to go out, do the sales. I have
- 12:45zero cost sales team which are working
- 12:48purely on commission, okay, and they are
- 12:51smart people because they are selling
- 12:53the high value thing which people really
- 12:57want and they don't need to make it.
- 12:59Let's consider I am Lakshya who provides
- 13:01you WhatsApp automation solution, who is
- 13:02expert in meta, WhatsApp, Facebook,
- 13:04Instagram. Let's consider there is a
- 13:06person called as Raj. He is not
- 13:07technical person, but he is very good at
- 13:09sales or communication. So what he'll
- 13:11do? So he'll partner the people like me,
- 13:13Lakshya. He will bring client. He will
- 13:15take the commission of 20 to 30%. Let's
- 13:18say Let's say I make the particular
- 13:19solution in 50,000 rupees and 20,000 is
- 13:22almost 10,000 and 30% is 15,000 rupees.
- 13:26Now you do the math. If Raj can get
- 13:28easily 10 to 15 client, he's making 1.5
- 13:31lakh to 2 lakh rupees per month just by
- 13:34referring the client. So you see the
- 13:36power of referral and partnership. And
- 13:38with all of this, I would highly
- 13:40recommend start your personal branding
- 13:43content creation journey side by side
- 13:45and showcase what you are learning, what
- 13:47new skill you have built. So I am doing
- 13:49this from a long time, okay? And it has
- 13:51compounded me each and every time. So
- 13:53now, whenever I wake up in the morning,
- 13:56I have good amount of email sitting on
- 13:59my
- 14:00inbox waiting for me to reply how I want
- 14:03to partner with them, how I can help in
- 14:05their businesses. I don't have to go
- 14:06anywhere and get an outbound link. It's
- 14:08just an inbound link for me. Now, this
- 14:09is an interesting section which I want
- 14:11to cover. People who are a beginner
- 14:14really get confused of what to do after
- 14:16the call. Like first work is to have a
- 14:19meeting with the client. Never tell them
- 14:20your offer or your proposal directly on
- 14:22the WhatsApp chat or email. They say
- 14:23some amount of price I want to go. Just
- 14:25tell them let's come on the meeting of
- 14:2615-20 minutes. I'll walk you through
- 14:28what we are going to cover today. And
- 14:30record that meeting. You could be using
- 14:32uh Fireflies, Granola, Padam. All are
- 14:35free, okay? And I am doing that. So if
- 14:38you see my Granola, this are the
- 14:39meetings. You can see there are so many
- 14:42meetings. I am recording my all the
- 14:44meetings which I am doing with my
- 14:45clients or internal meeting call. So now
- 14:48what to do with this meeting transcript
- 14:49or summary? This will be your golden
- 14:52information regarding your client.
- 14:54Whenever you do your meeting, have a CRM
- 14:56where you are storing all the meeting
- 14:57transcript. And from this particular
- 14:59transcript, you can generate [music] the
- 15:01proposal which can be customized to your
- 15:03client on the spot. What people normally
- 15:05do, they had a meeting, after two to
- 15:08three days they will send them a
- 15:09proposal. By that time, client has
- 15:11already forgotten about you and have
- 15:13gone with some other client. You send
- 15:15them the proposal within five to 10
- 15:17minutes. That shows the speed and
- 15:19agility with which you want to work the
- 15:20a client. And just to give you a very
- 15:22simple tips and trick regarding the AI,
- 15:24take the transcript, share your own
- 15:25thoughts about the meeting, and tell
- 15:27Claude to create a proposal with
- 15:30whatever information you want to put and
- 15:32the pricing and all, and create in a
- 15:34markdown format, MD format. [music]
- 15:36Don't go directly for the PDF. First,
- 15:38create markdown format because there
- 15:39will always be some changes which you
- 15:41want to make. And because the changes
- 15:42done inside the markdown format or the
- 15:44PDF format are very different. PDF will
- 15:45require a lots and lots of changes and
- 15:47it will hamper your styling. In the
- 15:48markdown format, it's a very less open
- 15:50consumption. Once you have done it in
- 15:51the markdown, then tell him to convert
- 15:53in the HTML to have a proper kind of a
- 15:55styling and kind of a look and feel for
- 15:57your according to your company. Once it
- 15:59is done, then tell him to convert into a
- 16:01PDF format and send the PDF format
- 16:03directly to your client on the spot. Not
- 16:06every client is going to reply you back,
- 16:08and don't get disheartened by that
- 16:10because most of the client won't be
- 16:12replying to you after putting so much of
- 16:14effort in proposal, which by the way we
- 16:16have not in just a 5-minutes job. So,
- 16:18follow-up is the reality. Have a
- 16:20follow-up system. You send a proposal
- 16:22today, send message them [music] message
- 16:24tomorrow asking them, "Did you get it
- 16:26the time to you read the proposal? What
- 16:28are your thoughts?" If he doesn't reply
- 16:30or they reply, "I will let you know."
- 16:31After 3 days, again them
- 16:33message them. After 7 days, have a
- 16:34proper follow-up system till certain
- 16:36point of time. Do not spam them
- 16:38continuously, otherwise they will get
- 16:39irritated and block you or give some
- 16:41negative feedback or review somewhere
- 16:43which other people or lead might see and
- 16:46come to you. And this is all the
- 16:47experience work I'm able to speak so
- 16:49many things because I have have a good
- 16:51amount of experience working with the
- 16:52leads and client and how to managing
- 16:54them. So, don't worry if your first
- 16:56lead, first [music] two, three leads are
- 16:58bad and you are not able to deliver.
- 16:59Just have a proper system and process
- 17:01which can help you land up the lead,
- 17:03convert it, and work for them. So, I
- 17:05hope you find good amount of information
- 17:07in this particular video. And there are
- 17:08so many things which I had skipped which
- 17:11I thought is unnecessary and I don't
- 17:12want to bore with that. So, if there is
- 17:15any thought, any questions in your mind,
- 17:16just let me know. I know I think this
