- 0:00It has come to my attention that Hollow
- 0:01Knight is apparently thought to be a
- 0:03hard game. Now listen, I disagree, but
- 0:04here's how to stop being a terrible
- 0:05Hollow Night player. I guess maybe,
- 0:07probably not. I don't know for sure, but
- 0:09we'll see. When you're about to take
- 0:10damage, don't. Why would you want to hit
- 0:12an enemy? Are you stupid? Number two,
- 0:15just play the goddamn game. Don't be a
- 0:16[ __ ] and ask for tips. Oh, you're lost.
- 0:18Well, guess what, [ __ ] The game's
- 0:20all about exploration. Explore. Sorry,
- 0:22got a little angry there. Number three,
- 0:23don't be a [ __ ] That's right. Don't be
- 0:25a [ __ ] It's quite simple, actually. If
- 0:27you're fighting a boss and it's too
- 0:28hard, then keep on fighting it. That's
- 0:29it. All right, moving on. Now, here's a
- 0:30more genuine tip. The less you know, the
- 0:32better. When I first played the game, I
- 0:33was back seeded by a Twitch chat. Now,
- 0:35the game was still fun to play for me,
- 0:36but it would have been a lot more fun if
- 0:38I went into it blind. And speaking of
- 0:39actual genuine tips, charms. So, if
- 0:42you've already watched this far, then I
- 0:43imagine you already know what charms do.
- 0:44If not, well, then that's kind of
- 0:44strange. So, anyway, Hollite has a lot
- 0:46of charms. So, I'm giving you a slight
- 0:47damage increase on others, making you
- 0:48look like this. I don't know why, but it
- 0:50does that. So, that's cool. Anyway,
- 0:52since you're here watching a Hollow
- 0:53Knight tip video, like a [ __ ] [ __ ]
- 0:54you are, sorry. Anyway, um then you
- 0:56probably want to get better at the game.
- 0:57No. and they get better, you got to use
- 0:58right charm. So that's why I'm here for
- 1:00you right now. Currently rock by the
- 1:01way. All right, so use any charm that
- 1:03makes your nails stronger, attack
- 1:05faster, or attack longer, cuz longer is
- 1:07always better. Never never ever use
- 1:09charms than for spells. Trust me, I know
- 1:11what I'm talking about here. Now, I
- 1:12mean, you could if you really wanted to,
- 1:13but I mean, I feel like in my humble
- 1:15opinion, Hollow Knight players that use
- 1:16spells are kind of like they're not very
- 1:17cool, and my opinion matters, so you got
- 1:19to listen to it. But I just started the
- 1:21game at Roland. How do I find some good
- 1:23charms? refer to tip number two or three
- 1:25I think was explore. [ __ ] explore.
- 1:28God damn
- 1:30it. Oh my [ __ ] god. I can't do it
- 1:34anymore. How do I get in here? Gate
- 1:37above is already unlocked. How do I get
- 1:38this caterpillar? How do I get past
- 1:40this? Someone help me find on What am I
- 1:42missing? Do I need double jump or
- 1:44something?
- 1:48Nail
- 1:49arts. If you somehow don't know what
- 1:51nail arts are still, well then I guess
- 1:52this is the point where I explain what
- 1:53it is, which is kind of annoying, but
- 1:55that's fine cuz I love being
- 1:55informative. This is a lie. Anyway, so
- 1:57you will eventually stumble upon these
- 1:58three guys who will give you nail arts,
- 2:00of which there are three. One of which
- 2:02being the big spinny tech thing. The
- 2:03other one being like some big dash
- 2:05slash. It's pretty cool, I guess. And
- 2:06then you got the the the slash. Now, if
- 2:09you already knew what nails were part of
- 2:11this, and I guarantee you, you don't use
- 2:12them a lot. And hey, there is absolutely
- 2:14no shame in it. I mean, I don't use them
- 2:15either. You know, it's like you forget.
- 2:16Well, sorry, correction. I didn't use
- 2:18them until I stopped being a [ __ ]
- 2:20idiot. That's right. Turns out the nail
- 2:22arts are actually pretty underrated. And
- 2:23I mean, hey, listen. I mean, the pros
- 2:25use them a lot, so I mean, I should too,
- 2:26right? Think about it like this. It's
- 2:27the equivalent of if a billionaire,
- 2:28let's say Bill Gates, does math, then
- 2:30we, the lower class, will do it, too.
- 2:32Because I mean, why not, you know?
- 2:33Anyways, I talked all that [ __ ] but why
- 2:35exactly do I believe the nails are
- 2:36pretty good? I don't really know. I just
- 2:37saw it somewhere. I mean, what did you
- 2:39expect? Like some in-depth analysis as
- 2:41to why they're really good? No, I don't
- 2:42even really use them. I lied. Now, wait
- 2:44before you get all mad. I know you're
- 2:46probably thinking like, you know, why
- 2:47would I make a whole a segment about nil
- 2:48arts and not and not really care about
- 2:49them? Well, you see, it all began
- 2:51literally a minute ago when I was a boss
- 2:53and realized, wait a minute, these
- 2:54things take super long to charge up.
- 2:56Like, it's more of a hassle to use them
- 2:58than to not use them at all. Yeah, I
- 3:00thought to myself. You see, Minuteos
- 3:02Mi's feeble, underdeveloped mind thought
- 3:04that this was the case. That isn't so
- 3:06clear to me, aka change man me
- 3:08fortunately had the liberty of stumbling
- 3:09upon a new charm called the nail
- 3:10master's glory, I think it is. I I don't
- 3:12know for sure. Now, you're probably
- 3:14wondering where do I get the charm
- 3:15event? Well, I'm not going to lie, but I
- 3:16kind of forgot. So, how about you just
- 3:18Google it instead? All right, good boy.
- 3:19Good job. Sorry, I'm I'm a good man. Oh,
- 3:21[ __ ] Anyways, whilst I may not be able
- 3:23to tell you where to get the charm, I
- 3:25can, however, tell you what it does and
- 3:26why it makes nail arts viable. So,
- 3:28buckle up, buttercup, because this charm
- 3:29is super complex and it's going to be a
- 3:31pretty darn long explanation. Here we
- 3:32go. Okay, cool. It reduces the charge
- 3:34time for every nail art. That's kind of
- 3:36it, actually. Okay, cool. And for the
- 3:37low cost of one notch, this charm is a
- 3:38game changer. And when I say game
- 3:40changer, I mean game changer. Remember a
- 3:42few minutes ago when I was saying how
- 3:43whenever you're fighting a boss and it's
- 3:45too hard to just keep on fighting it.
- 3:46Listen, I stand by that definitely.
- 3:48However, I just thought of an alternate
- 3:49solution. So, let's say in the purely
- 3:51hypothetical event that you're quite
- 3:52literally getting your ass handy by a
- 3:54boss, it's been hours and you have
- 3:56nothing better to do. Oh, you want my
- 3:57advice? Well, guess what? I'm going to
- 3:59give it to you now. Here we go. Okay, so
- 4:00one thing I've learned after countless
- 4:02hours of boss fights is that it's best
- 4:04to not make a move until your opponent
- 4:05does. It sounds crazy, I know, but trust
- 4:07me, it works. And why does it work?
- 4:08Being still and staying on the ground
- 4:10makes you far less likely to literally
- 4:12walk into an enemy attack because you
- 4:13can't walk into an enemy attack when
- 4:14you're not even walking. Anyways, more
- 4:15importantly, it enables you to focus
- 4:17more on the boss. And focusing is pretty
- 4:18good. Now, I know what you're probably
- 4:20thinking. This guy's full of [ __ ] and
- 4:22why should I believe him? Well, I'm not
- 4:23full of [ __ ] [ __ ] you. And you got to
- 4:25believe me, cuz I'm the one making the
- 4:26video here. Parrying. Parrying is when
- 4:28an enemy attacks you and you, well,
- 4:30parry it. Now, I'm quite confident that
- 4:32you probably heard of parrying before in
- 4:33other games. I mean, it's pretty common,
- 4:34but if you haven't heard of it before,
- 4:36well, then uh that's kind of crazy,
- 4:37actually. Anyway, so in Hollow Knight to
- 4:39parry things, whenever an enemy attacks
- 4:40you, you attack them. Kind of like
- 4:42pogoing. It's a pretty time based thing,
- 4:44but if you are able to get a parry off,
- 4:46it will give the knight aka you 0.25
- 4:48seconds of uh wait, what was it again?
- 4:50Oh yeah, invulnerability. And I don't
- 4:52got to be smart to tell you that
- 4:53invulnerability is pretty good. I mean,
- 4:54think about it like this. You're
- 4:55surrounded by enemies and they all want
- 4:57you dead and then bam, what do you do?
- 4:58Do you do A, do a parry, or do you do B,
- 5:01crawl up into a ball and cry? Well,
- 5:02guess what, [ __ ] Neither. Option C,
- 5:04do a desert dive. Now listen man, the
- 5:05desol dive gives you an insane amount of
- 5:06invincibility frames. But first, what
- 5:09exactly is the desolate dive? Well, you
- 5:10get it from the big fat guy and the soul
- 5:12sinks him. Now, this guy may be obese,
- 5:13but not from food, from souls. And
- 5:15that's a pretty bad guy thing to do. So,
- 5:17like the hero you are, you go in and
- 5:18kill him and take his power. Woo.
- 5:20Anyways, pairing is pretty good, but the
- 5:22desolate dive spell is better. That is
- 5:24if you're a little [ __ ] because spells
- 5:26are for [ __ ] But first, a word from
- 5:28our sponsor. Here's a good hollow night
- 5:31tip for you. when you're smacking your
- 5:33nail, uh, you hit them with their nail
- 5:35and things die. It's not really a tip,
- 5:38though. I mean, I already mentioned that
- 5:38before, you know, as in like just don't
- 5:40die, right?
- 5:43Behold, no thunder.
- 5:48Yeah. Anyway, here's a little honorable
- 5:50mention of mine. Whenever you're playing
- 5:51Hollow Knight, play nothing else. That
- 5:52means no playing with your goddamn
- 5:54friends, no playing with yourself, and
- 5:55most importantly, forget your loved
- 5:57ones. Tell them that Hollow Night is
- 5:58your life now. You must beat the game
- 6:00before you can do anything else. Now
- 6:01listen, man. I get it. Maybe you don't
- 6:02want to do that, but listen. I'm sorry.
- 6:04It's your life now, okay? I'm just a
- 6:06messenger here. And speaking of playing
- 6:08Hollow Knight, whenever you beat the
- 6:09game, get the true ending. I have seen
- 6:11so many players beat the game and they
- 6:12think they're done, but no, they're not.
- 6:14There is five innings. Get them all. Or
- 6:17don't. Unfortunately, you do have free
- 6:18will, but I'm pretty sure you should.
- 6:20All right, moving on. Again, pogo wing.
- 6:21As we all know, the nail is a pretty
- 6:23important part of the game. But one
- 6:24thing that regrettably took me hours to
- 6:25learn on my first playthrough is that
- 6:27you can also attack downwards. Now,
- 6:28listen. I know as simple as it sounds,
- 6:30but oh my god, I don't know why, but it
- 6:32took me so long to learn. I I like
- 6:33seriously, I've been out. So, Pogo Bing
- 6:35is arguably one of the most useful
- 6:37features in the game. So, now that I got
- 6:39your attention, how do you do it? Well,
- 6:41uh uh if you're on keyboard, then the X
- 6:43key should be your attack button. If
- 6:44not, well, then I don't know. I'm sorry.
- 6:45That's weird. Um so, pretty much midair,
- 6:47hold your down button, and then attack.
- 6:49This will have you do a downward slash.
- 6:50Now, listen. Pretty much doing a
- 6:52downward slash on any enemy object will
- 6:53make you do a pogo. Well, not really any
- 6:55object. Just kind of things like spikes
- 6:56or whatever. The timing can be kind of
- 6:58hard to get at first, but once you do,
- 7:00it's pretty easy. So, good job. All
- 7:01right, moving on. So, in Hollow Ness,
- 7:02you will stumble upon a charm called the
- 7:03fluke nest. Now, why is this important?
- 7:05I don't really know, actually. But, um,
- 7:06luck know, I do know. Anyway, so yeah,
- 7:08the charm turns your vengeful spirit
- 7:10cast into like a fluke nest cast
- 7:11instead. It's pretty cool, I guess. But
- 7:13why is it important? Well, I'm glad you
- 7:14asked. We see earlier I mentioned pogo
- 7:16wing. Now, it's a pretty basic mechanic,
- 7:18yes, but whenever you cast your fluke
- 7:20cast, get it cuz like flute cast, you
- 7:21know, flute, floop nest, flute cast,
- 7:22like casting spell. Okay. Anyway, it
- 7:24will create a alive animal thing. That's
- 7:27very weird and [ __ ] gross. But
- 7:29anyway, so where this log is juicy is
- 7:31that this can be poked on. That's right.
- 7:32You can literally poke on this animal
- 7:34thing and it could be useful because it
- 7:35can be used as a double jump in a way.
- 7:36And double jumper is pretty good. So I
- 7:38have dubbed this mechanic as
- 7:40the the portable pogo. Portable pogo.
- 7:44That's right. This is a new mechanic
- 7:45that I discovered my own and it is now
- 7:46mine. I dubbed it as mine. It's mine.
- 7:49You can't And it's definitely real.
- 7:51Don't Google it. Also, one more little
- 7:52honorable mention here. You are a
- 7:54[ __ ] monster. Not you. Calm down.
- 7:55You're no monster. You're perfect.
- 8:00You shrutdder brown with so much passion
- 8:02and pride, killing every enemy you see.
- 8:03So, good job. Good for you. Thumbs up.
- 8:05But guess what? Enemies are alive, too.
- 8:07Yeah, they're enemies and all, but like
- 8:08still, they have lives, too. Yes, their
- 8:10minds are far long gone, but that was
- 8:11involuntary them. That wasn't their
- 8:12fault. Okay, now you see, you call
- 8:14yourself the knight, and your goal is to
- 8:16save the kingdom from infection or
- 8:17whatever, but like once you do, you've
- 8:18already killed half of the kingdom
- 8:19itself. So, it's like, are you really a
- 8:20good guy? I don't know about that.
- 8:22However, I will cut you a little bit of
- 8:23slack cuz after watching a lot of bit of
- 8:25Invincible season 3, I realized that
- 8:27sometimes you have to be a bad guy to be
- 8:29a good guy. Wait, wait, what? No. Why
- 8:31did I say that? No, sorry. I meant like
- 8:33you have to do bad things to to do good
- 8:35things sometimes. Yeah, there you go.
- 8:37So, why exactly does this little
- 8:38honorable mention matter? Because, you
- 8:40know, it's like why would it matter to
- 8:41have morals in a post-apocalyptic type
- 8:43world? Now, you're probably wondering,
- 8:44why did I say apocalyptic like that? I
- 8:46don't really know, honestly. It's kind
- 8:47of a weird word to say, I guess. So,
- 8:49anyway, um back to the matter at hand.
- 8:51Why are morals important? Quite frankly,
- 8:53I don't really know and I don't really
- 8:54care. I'm just making up random [ __ ]
- 8:55right now so the video can be a little
- 8:57longer. And it's come to my attention
- 8:59that I probably shouldn't do that. So,
- 9:00in light of that, this is the end of the
- 9:02video. So, uh, yep. I also really do
- 9:04want to mention that I've been naked the
- 9:05entire time whilst recording and editing
- 9:07this video. So, I hope it shows
- 9:11[Music]
