2. 0:02out of the crush at hillsbor on a
3. 0:03stranger's shoulders that boy now a man
4. 0:06spotted it on a documentary last week
5. 0:08and is now searching for The Stranger
6. 0:10who saved his life this clearer footage
7. 0:13of the pair that we've highlighted was
8. 0:15shown at the hillsbor inquest 8-year-old
9. 0:17Liverpool fan Joe Smith was in the
10. 0:19grounds leppings Lane end with his
11. 0:21stepdad when he became trapped in the
12. 0:23Crush from the waist down as he cried
13. 0:25out in pain his stepdad pleaded with the
14. 0:27crowd and Joe was passed back through
15. 0:30the melee then eventually the man
16. 0:32emerged from the pitch and hoisted him
17. 0:33up on his shoulders scared Panic um you
18. 0:37know got upset pretty quickly I was
19. 0:38crying the shouts them throughout the
20. 0:40crowd to let's get this boy out let's
21. 0:42get this kid out and people started to
22. 0:43pass me down you know amongst the crowd
23. 0:46at that point the feelings were just I
24. 0:48can't describe them you know I've got
25. 0:49young boys of my own and to think of
26. 0:51them going through those kind of
27. 0:52feelings you know frightens me just
28. 0:53thinking about it until last week Joe
29. 0:55had never been quite sure how he'd
30. 0:57actually reached safety assuming he'
31. 0:59blacked out but when he saw the
32. 1:01documentary it suddenly all came
33. 1:03flooding back and this gentleman's kind
34. 1:05of pulled me out and and and you know
35. 1:06got me onto his shoulders uh done what
36. 1:09he can to to to reassure me I'm going to
37. 1:10be fine and everything's okay uh you
38. 1:13know he was trying to joke with me he
39. 1:15was trying to just keep me positive you
40. 1:16know Focus me on something other than
41. 1:18what was going on around me really last
42. 1:20night Joe put the image on his Facebook
43. 1:22page asking people to share it to try to
44. 1:24find his hero he's been astounded by the
45. 1:27speed it's flown around the world it's
46. 1:30gone nuts I I've had messages from you
47. 1:32know people in Germany Austria New
48. 1:34Zealand Canada um somebody in Greece who
49. 1:37thinks they actually might know who the
50. 1:38person is it's um it it's gone
51. 1:41absolutely Bonkers I I can't even keep
52. 1:42up with it at the minute so I need to
53. 1:44sit down have a bit of time to myself
54. 1:46and actually look look through all the
55. 1:47messages and I'm hoping somewhere in
56. 1:48there if there's not one from him
57. 1:50there's one from a family member or
58. 1:51somebody close to him Joe's hope now
59. 1:53then that he'll be reunited with his
60. 1:55hero I just want to embrace him thank
61. 1:57him for what he did for me that day
