- 0:00What's going on, YouTube? I know it's
- 0:02been a minute. I know I haven't really
- 0:03been uploading like that. Um, just had a
- 0:06lot going on in life. Truthfully, I
- 0:09haven't been moved to really use social
- 0:11media like I did back in the day. So,
- 0:14that's kind of why I went ghost. I
- 0:15stopped uploading on YouTube and I
- 0:18stopped using Instagram and really just
- 0:20posting about my cars. But regardless,
- 0:22today I am here to reveal to you guys
- 0:25the S60T5M that has been known in secret
- 0:29and it's known as the Green Mamba. So
- 0:32without further ado, let's get into it.
- 0:34So here we go. The Green Mamba T5. This
- 0:38is a 2002 Volvo S60 T5 that I've built
- 0:43from the ground up. I got this car when
- 0:46it was bone stock. It was a basic tan on
- 0:50tan S60T5. It was an original 5-speed
- 0:54manual, but outside of that, it was tan
- 0:56on tan. So, I'm not trying to make this
- 0:58video too long and drawn out, but I'll
- 1:00quickly go over the modifications. This
- 1:03car has a custom rear bumper just like
- 1:05my black car. As far as the rear bumper
- 1:08goes, this is a facelift rear bumper
- 1:10that I used as a base. I made a custom
- 1:13vent for it. And normally there will be
- 1:15a grill that I put back here, but like I
- 1:18said, I just finished painting this car.
- 1:20I still have work to do. It still has to
- 1:21be wet sanded and buffed, and I still
- 1:24have to add more things to it. So, um,
- 1:27there's that. And the exhaust also has
- 1:30to have some work. As you can see, it
- 1:32sticks out too much for my taste. And
- 1:34the roof still has to be painted. Custom
- 1:38LED tail lights, which may be hard to
- 1:40see. I'll probably add um a clip in when
- 1:43it's darker out. Um custom tail lights,
- 1:46custom duck bill spoiler on the back.
- 1:49This car has the postf facelift late
- 1:51model mirrors that I swapped on. The
- 1:54carbon fiber duct on the side of front
- 1:56bumper.
- 1:58This car uses four piston Brembos as
- 2:02well as drilled and slide rotors with
- 2:04ceramic brake pads and a fully molded
- 2:07widebody kit. Now, before anyone tries
- 2:10to come in the comments and, you know,
- 2:12call me out or say, "Why do you have
- 2:14that huge splitter?" blah blah blah,
- 2:16whatever, I want to show you guys this
- 2:18car was actually built to be a track
- 2:21car. That's the whole intention of why I
- 2:23built this car. And this right here is
- 2:26chassis mounted. So, I can step on it
- 2:28and you could see the car is bouncing.
- 2:32That's not the camera moving. That's the
- 2:34car that's bouncing.
- 2:36So, um, you can see I have some splitter
- 2:40rods right there, and you can see a
- 2:42chassis mount beside my intake filter.
- 2:45So, I'll actually pop the hood on this
- 2:47car. Um, but Treadstone TR11 front mount
- 2:50intercooler, custom, um, intake. And you
- 2:53can see there's some holes drilled in
- 2:55the bumper. That's where the bumper duck
- 2:57goes. I have to put that in.
- 3:04This car I just got finished with
- 3:06painting, so it's still a work in
- 3:08progress, but so I have the hood vents,
- 3:10custom front grill, custom headlights
- 3:13just like the tail lights. Check out
- 3:15this cool function with the lights. So
- 3:17whenever you put your turn signals on,
- 3:19same thing as if you put your hazards
- 3:21on, the lights flash
- 3:24with the amber.
- 3:26So it's just a cool little touch. Custom
- 3:29front bumper, custommade front splitter.
- 3:33Um, Caplank, I believe that's how you
- 3:35pronounce it. And I may be pronouncing
- 3:37it wrong, but Kaplank Racing solid
- 3:39subframe bushings, poly upper engine
- 3:42mount. It has a power steering cooler,
- 3:46which you might be able to see behind
- 3:48that honeycomb grill. I'm not sure if
- 3:49you can see it or not. And it also uses
- 3:53power flex race control arm bushings. It
- 3:56also has adjustable um end links and
- 3:59just lots of other stuff. a single mass
- 4:01flywheel, an RX7 clutch, H&R springs. A
- 4:06lot done to this car. So, this car like
- 4:08handles like three times better than the
- 4:11black car ever could. And truthfully,
- 4:15um it's like an evolution of that car in
- 4:17every way. But I'll pop the hood and
- 4:20show you guys more under the hood. So,
- 4:22to quickly go over the engine bay setup,
- 4:24it has silicone radiator hoses. It has
- 4:26the facelift um power steering reservoir
- 4:29conversion. Like I said, power steering
- 4:32cooler up front. Brave Dog 1.2 L catch
- 4:35can, custom 3-in aluminum intake. It has
- 4:38metal charge pipes with that Treadstone
- 4:41TR11 front mount intercooler. And the
- 4:44one thing this car is missing is the big
- 4:47turbo setup. So, I know that was like
- 4:49the one of the key components of my
- 4:51black car, but um that car has taught me
- 4:55a lot. And one thing that it taught me
- 4:57was when I built that car, I used way
- 4:59too big of an exhaust size housing. And
- 5:02it's better to take your time and do
- 5:04things and research more first. So, I
- 5:07definitely researched and I definitely
- 5:09tried to do my due diligence, but the
- 5:12art of building cars is learning and
- 5:15learning from your mistakes. So, with
- 5:16that, um, I learned a lot from building
- 5:19that car. And you know, just with the
- 5:21amount of setbacks and things I've had
- 5:23to deal with, this car um has sat for
- 5:26like a year. I've had to repaint it.
- 5:28Just lots of stuff just went on. So, in
- 5:30the future, I do plan to put a bigger
- 5:33turbo setup on it if I keep it. But, um,
- 5:36as the car sits right now, it's very
- 5:39quick. It's very nimble. It handles very
- 5:41well because of all the suspension mods,
- 5:44and it feels very planted. So, we are
- 5:47now in the interior of my S60T5.
- 5:50This being a prefaceelift car and an
- 5:52early model. It has the ugly steering
- 5:54wheel and the ugly um odometer. I mean,
- 5:58I could always swap the gauge faces to
- 6:00the R1's and swap the steering wheel.
- 6:02That's just something I haven't gotten
- 6:04around to. But anyway, um going on
- 6:07moving forward with more of the
- 6:08modifications. This car has a 3D printed
- 6:11um shift bushing. And yes, as you can
- 6:14see, the carpet down here is currently
- 6:16missing. The interior is a work in
- 6:18progress. I have the interior bits in my
- 6:21garage, but I'm still trying to install
- 6:23stuff back after paint. Um, this car
- 6:26from factory was, like I said, tan on
- 6:29tan. So, this rare two-tone um, black
- 6:33leather with tan inserts that you see
- 6:35that's in the car currently, this is um,
- 6:38an interior that was swapped in. And I
- 6:41do have to clean it up some. Like I
- 6:42said, this car sat for like a year just
- 6:45because of the big problem I had with
- 6:47having to repaint it. Um, long story
- 6:50short, a bunch of white paint got all
- 6:51over the car. Couldn't get it out, so I
- 6:53had to repaint it. But anyway, but
- 6:55there's some company that makes some
- 6:57shift bushings for the actual shifter
- 6:59base. It has those. It also has solid
- 7:02metal shift bushings on the shift
- 7:04linkage. And in the name of saving
- 7:06weight, because I built this car
- 7:08specifically to be a track car, you
- 7:11could see the whole rear interior has
- 7:13been removed and a fire extinguisher put
- 7:15in. But I'm pretty much over the whole
- 7:18boy racer stage of my life. So, I'm
- 7:20probably going to put the rear interior
- 7:22back in and keep this car as a track
- 7:26ready street car. And as you can see, I
- 7:29did a single wiper conversion. also in
- 7:31the name of saving weight on this car.
- 7:34I will definitely maybe make a couple
- 7:36more videos of it, but this is how it
- 7:38sits currently.
- 7:40And with that, I just wanted to end off
- 7:41this video by saying thank you guys for
- 7:44watching. And I also wanted to let you
- 7:46guys know, believe in yourself. I am a
- 7:49testament to that with all the cars I've
- 7:52built, even outside of Volvos in my
- 7:54life, doing these crazy big turbo
- 7:56setups, custom making my own bumpers,
- 7:59painting cars on my own, you know, just
- 8:02generating my own parts and doing my own
- 8:04things. I never went to any automotive
- 8:06school or anything like that. You guys
- 8:09truthfully have to believe in yourself
- 8:12and believe you could do things. Go out,
- 8:15do research, try to learn, watch YouTube
- 8:17videos, learn from somebody who knows
- 8:20something, but believe in yourself. Do
- 8:22your due diligence, research, believe
- 8:24you could do something, and you could do
- 8:26it. My cars are a testament to that. And
- 8:28I hope you guys enjoyed the video. Take
- 8:30it easy.
