- 0:00So, this restaurant owner from China is
- 0:01currently going viral for desperately
- 0:03trying to convince people to stop coming
- 0:04to his restaurant.
- 0:05>> [music]
- 0:06>> It all started when this food blogger
- 0:07named Liu You Sen with over 10 million
- 0:09followers just so happened to visit his
- 0:10city of Foshan and noticed a sign that
- 0:12read, "People who dine here might find
- 0:14themselves having to poop." When Liu
- 0:15asked him about it, he explained that
- 0:16their fresh chicken soup is uniquely
- 0:18made with traditional Chinese medicine
- 0:19[music] herbs, which helps remove the
- 0:21body's dampness. And since he could
- 0:22actually be heard repeatedly asking Liu
- 0:24not to brag [music] about his food, and
- 0:25please don't make me too popular, his
- 0:27video obviously went incredibly viral.
- 0:29Although a lot of people thought at
- 0:30first that he was using reverse
- 0:31psychology, it turns out [music] the guy
- 0:33just genuinely loved his easy and
- 0:34peaceful life serving 30 customers a
- 0:36day. When he started getting up to 3,000
- 0:38a day lining up for hours outside,
- 0:40including many more influencers and
- 0:41celebrities, [music] he had to extend
- 0:42his closing time and was just completely
- 0:44exhausted. Even after intentionally
- 0:46leaving tons of fake one-star reviews
- 0:48and only talking about the negatives of
- 0:49his food on every interview, that only
- 0:50caused [music] more people to want to
- 0:52show up. And although he even tried
- 0:53temporarily closing his store to let the
- 0:55hype die down, the local tourism bureau
- 0:57convinced him to reopen.
