  2. 0:01gaming's most frustrating achievements.
  3. 0:03In Half-Life 2: Episode Two, players had
  4. 0:05to carry a garden gnome from near the
  5. 0:07beginning of the game to a rocket near
  6. 0:08the end. The challenge began as a
  7. 0:10developer joke called crate baby, where
  8. 0:12the team tried carrying a doll through
  9. 0:13levels during testing. The problem was
  10. 0:15keeping the gnome with them. It
  11. 0:17constantly fell out of vehicles, flew
  12. 0:18across the map, or disappeared because
  13. 0:20of physics bugs. Many players resorted
  14. 0:22to throwing it ahead, chasing after it,
  15. 0:24and repeating the process through
  16. 0:25enemies and explosions. After protecting
  17. 0:27it for almost the entire game, they
  18. 0:28could finally launch it into space. Or
  19. 0:30they could use cheats to spawn it near
  20. 0:32the end.
