  33. 1:09people who had attended the movie's
  34. 1:10midnight screening found creepy dolls
  35. 1:13outside their hotel doors they
  36. 1:15inevitably filmed this and the clips
  37. 1:17were shared widely on social media and
  38. 1:19this helped generate Buzz for the film
  39. 1:22despite being incredibly low cost and
  40. 1:24simple this really got people's
  41. 1:26attention just how the producers would
  42. 1:28have wanted and the movie ended up
  43. 1:30earning a whopping 80 million at the box
  44. 1:33office number four spotify's
  45. 1:35personalized playlists Spotify get
  46. 1:37really creative when it comes to this
  47. 1:39and this has led to some very beneficial
  48. 1:41marketing for example they launched
  49. 1:43their wrapped Campaign which gave users
  50. 1:45the ability to see exactly which songs
  51. 1:47and artists they'd listen to most for
  52. 1:49the previous year of course this
  53. 1:51included a share button which meant
  54. 1:52social media became flooded with
  55. 1:54spotify's branding they did a similar
  56. 1:56thing when they released playlists based
  57. 1:58on your horoscope and as weird as that
  58. 2:00may sound people go crazy for these
  59. 2:03custom playlists and it got picked up by
  60. 2:05several major Publications giving them
  61. 2:07loads more free marketing number three
  62. 2:09Dove's real Beauty campaign in 2004 Dove
  63. 2:13released perhaps its most popular ad to
  64. 2:15date which was the real Beauty campaign
  65. 2:17that portrayed women of all colors and
  66. 2:20sizes Dove put forward the idea that all
  67. 2:23women are beautiful beautiful in their
  68. 2:24own way and unsurprisingly it resonated
  69. 2:27massively with the intended audience who
  70. 2:29were sick of trying to live up to the
  71. 2:31unrealistic standards usually portrayed
  72. 2:34in adverts the outcome the campaign went
  73. 2:36viral and sparked a whole conversation
  74. 2:38about beauty standards but of course
  75. 2:40Dove were at the Forefront of all this
  76. 2:42giving them huge amounts of free
  77. 2:44publicity whilst also positioning them
  78. 2:47in a very positive light compared to
  79. 2:49competitors they were made out to be
  80. 2:50like they were the ones on women's side
  81. 2:53two bird boxes meme strategy if you cast
  82. 2:56your mind back to the start of December
  83. 2:572018 you may remember that bird box
  84. 3:00memes have flooded our timelines Bird
  85. 3:02Box was a Netflix movie that got more
  86. 3:04than 40 million views in the first week
  87. 3:06of release and yes the movie starred
  88. 3:08Sandra Bullock and had a pretty decent
  89. 3:10storyline but that wasn't the only
  90. 3:12reason for its success what bird box did
  91. 3:14was pay a whole bunch of social media
  92. 3:16influencers to make memes about the film
  93. 3:19to help promote it now if there's
  94. 3:20anything that spreads like wildfire on
  95. 3:22the internet and this gorilla strategy
  96. 3:24worked out perfectly because Bird Box
  97. 3:26was everywhere within a day of its
  98. 3:28release creating loads of intrigue
  99. 3:30around the film and so it ended up
  100. 3:32breaking the Netflix record for most
  101. 3:34watched movie in a week number one
  102. 3:36Domino's Paving for pizza strategy this
  103. 3:39is an unconventional yet highly
  104. 3:41effective example of guerrilla marketing

  106. 3:46delivery Dilemma that no one was talking
  107. 3:48about smudged and distorted pizzas
  108. 3:50obviously nobody likes to receive their
  109. 3:52pizza with the ingredients sliding all
  110. 3:54over the place and Domino's was
  111. 3:56addressing the elephant in the room
  112. 3:58except it went after America's
  113. 4:00infrastructure and the alarming number
  114. 4:02of potholes in the street dominoes
  115. 4:04started their own project to repair
  116. 4:06these potholes in all 50 states of
  117. 4:09America by doing this it placed the
  118. 4:11focus on solving an everyday problem
  119. 4:13that everyone faces fixing some of the
  120. 4:16potholes cost almost nothing compared to
  121. 4:18the publicity and Goodwill that this
