0:08every Sunday morning on television and
0:10throughout the week on radio thousands
0:13of people heard this woman say I believe
0:15in miracles because I believe in God her
0:18name was Katherine Kuhlman had come by
0:20the thousands to her miracle services
0:22they'd pack out the auditoriums in less
0:24than an hour with thousands on the
0:26outside still trying to get in this week
0:28we're gonna discuss the life in the
0:30ministry of this great and wonderful
0:31woman she happens to be my favorite of
0:33all the journals I've ever studied it's
0:35Kathryn Kuhlman I'm Roberts lerton and
0:37this is God's General's
0:39[Music]
0:52some of God's great generals come from
0:55the most unusual backgrounds the woman
0:57we're talking about the day is happens
0:59to be my favorite it's Kathryn Kuhlman
1:01she's my favorite for two reasons one I
1:03saw her three times as a little boy
1:06growing up and then also reading all of
1:08her sermons and her radio broadcasts
1:11that I bought and listened to over the
1:12years has really made me fall in love
1:14with Alma named Kathryn Kuhlman like I
1:17said in the intro thousands of people
1:19every Sunday morning turned on their
1:22televisions as they were getting ready
1:23for church or just waking up from a bad
1:24Saturday night to see a redhead a woman
1:27say I believe in miracles because I
1:29believe in God I have next to me an
1:32empty wheelchair which is probably the
1:34greatest symbol of a Kathryn Kuhlman
1:36miracle service because in her services
1:38people come out of the wheelchairs where
1:40they were believing in for miracles or
1:42not in one thing get very clear and that
1:46is a Kathryn Kuhlman has nothing to do
1:48with these miracles please get that
1:50straight and call me anything I don't
1:52care what they call me
1:54but don't call me a faith healer
1:55whatever you do because I resent that
1:58very much because I am NOT a faith
2:01healer and always you know I'm referred
2:04to as a faith healer
2:05I've never healed anyone I have no
2:08heating power I have no healing virtue
2:10and it's so simple that's the reason
2:15that people miss it it's still God they
2:18forget that the greatest force in the
2:20world and the greatest power in the
2:21world
2:22is God I'm not a psychic healer don't
2:29put me in the category of a psychic
2:31healer these healings are not a matter
2:34of mind over matter it's simply the
2:38power of God is that simple if you're
2:42going to get people to understand it
2:44somebody else have a question you see
2:48how simple and easy it is her life began
2:50in a small town in Missouri called a
2:53crossroads town called Concordia
2:55Missouri you blink your eyes too fast as
2:58you're driving through you'll miss it
2:59the only great thing that ever happened
3:02in Corey was Kathleen Coleman
3:03her father became mayor of the town her
3:06mother and father went to two different
3:07churches one was Baptists and one was
3:09Methodist so Kathryn Kuhlman had to make
3:12a choice who she want to go to church
3:13with on that Sunday and would go either
3:16with her mom or her dad and that's how
3:18Kathryn grew up she'd go around town
3:20with her dad and everybody knew her
3:22father and begin to know her too as the
3:24atomic dual that would walk around town
3:26because Kathryn adore her father that's
3:29for the one reason why she had such a
3:31love for her Heavenly Father and had
3:33said she ate warm relationship that you
3:35could see when you'd see her speak on TV
3:37or in a miracle service Kathryn
3:39Kuhlman's life was not one that we'd say
3:42in the beginning was eventful she didn't
3:44finish high school
3:45her sister married a healing evangelist
3:48named parent that was his last name and
3:50so as they would travel around the
3:52country with their small Gospel tint
3:54they eventually found out that he needed
3:56some help to take care of the kids so
3:58Catherine's sister called magma
3:59Concordia and asked her mom and dad and
4:02then eventually asked Kathryn would
4:03Katherine come out and travel with him
4:06and take care of the children while they
4:07were doing the hitting Crusades so mom
4:11and dad agreed and Kathryn agreed so
4:13Kathryn packed her little bag and head
4:15out to be with her sister and
4:16brother-in-law and begin to be the nanny
4:18for the children and would sit in the
4:20meetings every night now her
4:22brother-in-law
4:22had a great healing ministry and one of
4:24the great things about his ministry was
4:26that when he began to worship God or
4:28begin to pray for people they would
4:29sought out under the power now remember
4:31in today's world that you and I live in
4:33being slain in the spirit is quite
4:35normal there is the real folks who fall
4:38becuase the power becomes on them so
4:40strongly others fall because everybody
4:42else falls and there's what I jokingly
4:44call the courtesy fall you just fall
4:45because you want to fall but back in
4:47those days you fell because God really
4:49came on you in a strong way and
4:51short-circuit your ability to stand and
4:52out you would go but after a period of
4:55months they were discovered that they
4:56couldn't afford to keep Kathryn with him
4:58and so they were gonna send Kathryn back
5:00to Concordia to home and maybe to finish
5:03school but Kathryn didn't want to go to
5:05Concordia
5:06it was a small little town she'd already
5:08maxed out all of the chick who was gonna
5:09do there and she didn't want to go back
5:11there and be born so instead of going
5:13back to
5:14gordium once and when it was time for
5:16her to leave she decided I want to start
5:18my ministry so Catherine as a teenage
5:21preacher begin to preach and she said I
5:23didn't know much all I knew was
5:25salvation so I'd preach salvation every
5:28night and ask people to get sane and
5:30then someone gets saved me come back the
5:32next night they get saved again and then
5:34the third night to get same again she
5:35said I kept making it save every night
5:37because that's all I knew
5:39you can only preach what you know and in
5:41those days Katherine couldn't only knew
5:42about being born again but she didn't
5:45have big crowds she would go out and
5:46teach and preach in or one-room
5:48schoolhouses she'd clean up turkey
5:50houses and chicken houses and sometimes
5:53sleeping in and preach in the same
5:54building at nighttime and that's how
5:56Kathryn Kuhlman began her ministry and
5:58as she began to travel around the
6:01country
6:01she finally end up in Denver Colorado in
6:03Denver Colorado her revival meetings
6:06were so successful that she decided to
6:08build a church and she built a church of
6:102,000 people and it became the best
6:12Church in town and you're on the
6:14traveling ministry circuit you had to
6:16make sure that you went through dinner
6:17you had to go to the Kuhlman Church
6:18because it was the best Church in town
6:20Raymond T Richard preached there others
6:22who preached there there come a man that
6:24would eventually change her life being
6:26Burroughs Waltrip but before we get into
6:28that part of our life story I want to
6:29stop just for a moment now I want you to
6:32go hear my favorite in general Kathleen
6:34Coleman speak to one of our miracle
6:35services you see I can only give you my
6:42own personal experience no one can give
6:46to anyone else any more than they've
6:48experienced themselves always remember
6:49that and just in a very simple way I'll
6:55give you my own personal experience
6:57regarding the Holy Spirit
7:02my first my very first association with
7:10the holy spirit within a burglar
7:14Methodist Church in Concordia Missouri
7:17if only you could know from whence I've
7:19come
7:21Concordia I don't think is on the map
7:24it's a small not more than 1200
7:28population
7:30mama was Methodist papa was Baptists
7:35neither one worked too hard at it and
7:41one Sunday morning and it says real to
7:47me this was my very first contact with
7:49the Holy Spirit and I didn't realize it
7:53one Sunday morning sitting with Mama in
7:58that little Methodist Church I don't
8:02think the church holds any more than a
8:04hundred people we were sitting there it
8:13was time for the last song and I was
8:16holding the old-fashioned Methodist
8:18hymnal whether anyone has ever been
8:22converted in that church before us since
8:24I'll never know but when the last song
8:30was being sung and I was holding that
8:32old-fashioned Methodist hymnal in my
8:34hand I was only 14 years of age
8:37something happened to me I cannot tell
8:42you one word the preacher said and not
8:44one but I only know that in that a
8:50moment the Holy Spirit came upon me I
8:54did not recognize I did not even know
8:57there was such a thing as the Holy
8:58Spirit and I began to shake I began to
9:05tremble
9:09so much so I had to leave him no down in
9:13the pew and I knew I had to do something
9:18I saw myself as I really was a sinner in
9:22the sight of God and I did something I'd
9:25laid that him load on and I did the only
9:27thing that I knew what to do I'd seen
9:29them picking church members and I
9:31slipped forward and sat down in the
9:35first pew right in the corner and
9:36whipped this was my conversion this was
9:41my first contact with the Holy Spirit I
9:45began to weep and I remember one of the
9:47old sisters came to me and brought me a
9:49handkerchief she said old Katherine she
9:51says don't cry you and I both know that
9:54you've been such a good little girl we
9:56both knew she was lying but in that
10:01moment something happened to me that was
10:05the new birth experience and it was so
10:08real that I've never doubted it since
10:11never
10:12I believe that when you're really born
10:17again there's a definite place of the
10:19definite time and you know it and his
10:24spirit the Holy Spirit will bear with us
10:26with your spirit the job has from death
10:30and the life and it's been that
10:33spiritual experience it's been my new
10:36birth experience has been so real but in
10:39that moment I had my first contact with
10:42the Holy Ghost
10:45she was passion her great church in
10:47Denver Colorado she had a guest speaker
10:49one night named burrows Waltrip he
10:52stayed over and kept doing meetings
10:53would come back several different
10:55occasions and a long story short he
10:58asked her to marry him everybody warned
11:00Katharine don't marry him don't do this
11:03don't do this people called people drove
11:05her friends told her not to but Kathryn
11:08Kuhlman ahead and married burles Waltrip
11:10in Iowa he had a ministry over there
11:12called a radio chapel in those days the
11:14radio ministry was the dominant ministry
11:16of the scene and so even during the
11:19wedding ceremony something strange
11:21happened she fainted during the way
11:23ceremony and they had to revive her
11:25swear she can come up and say yes to her
11:27vows but she did come back and say yes
11:29when they finished all of the the
11:31wedding celebrations they got on the car
11:34and drove back to the hotel with some
11:35friends to change clothes to start their
11:37honeymoon trip and before her new hubby
11:40could turn off the car she jumped out of
11:42the car rented the room of one of her
11:44friends in the hotel crying saying I've
11:46made a mistake what am I going to do and
11:48while she was in there talking to her
11:50friend and crying her husband knocked on
11:52the door - Catherine where are you come
11:54on let's go she stopped crying pulled
11:57herself together and begin the journey
11:58into her wilderness years she begin the
12:01journey of trying to figure out how do I
12:03fix this big mistake that I made in the
12:06life of Kathryn Kuhlman this is probably
12:08the greatest challenge that she faced
12:10she went into this marriage hoping that
12:13it was the real thing but pretty soon he
12:16wouldn't allow her to preach there are
12:18people that I've interviewed that saw
12:19her sitting on the stage why preach and
12:21she'd be crying and they thought she was
12:22being blessed by the anointing but what
12:24she was probably doing was crying going
12:26how do I get out of the mess that I'm in
12:29they finally moved to Los Angeles
12:30California where she went to a McPherson
12:33Bible School didn't graduate didn't even
12:35finish a whole semester but I've seen
12:37her name on the the book where she
12:39registered to be a part of it that
12:41didn't work for her finally one day she
12:43walked to a dead-end street in Los
12:45Angeles California this was a defining
12:47moment in Kathryn Kuhlman's life every
12:50one of us has these moments nobody else
12:52understands him but that individual
12:54understands him she walked to a dead-end
12:56street and she was crying and she looked
12:59up to heaven and she says God I have
13:00nothing left but my love for you
13:13it
13:15[Music]
13:17every
13:21if you really want to know the price
13:27you're really right I'll tell you
13:34it'll cost you everything
13:40captain Pullman died a long time ago
13:46I know the day I know the hour I can go
13:52to the spot
13:55we're Catherine Combe he died

14:03but could see
14:07for me it was easy
14:13because I had nothing
14:17I know better than anyone else from wins
14:19I've come from a little crossroads town
14:24in Missouri with a population of 1,200
14:28people
14:35I had nothing
14:38I was born without talent
14:44most people are born with something

14:52I didn't even have hair on my head when
14:54I was born just read fudge

15:09one day
15:12I just looked up and said wonderful
15:15jeans
15:18I have
15:21I have nothing to give you but my love
15:25[Music]
15:26but all that I can give you and I love
15:32you with all my heart and I give you my
15:38book what is the living sacrifice
15:44if you can take nothing and use it then
15:48here's nothing
15:54it isn't silver petrol they keep asking
15:57for it isn't golden vessels sitting me
16:02he just need to Kathryn Kuhlman turned
16:08around went home packed her bags and
16:11called him into that marriage but began
16:13her journey back into her hi Colleen
16:15miss Cullen's life is a story of the god
16:19of a second chance
16:20so many times we only think of Miss
16:22Kuhlman as the great lady that wore the
16:23white dress and the big crowds and the
16:26empty wheelchairs and the miracles and
16:27that is a great part of her life but
16:29that was only the last 10 to 15 years of
16:32her life this part of her life was her
16:34journey back her journey back in
16:36ministry was was coupled with I think
16:39lots of Tears lots of heartache lots of
16:42fears she'd go places to preach and the
16:45pastor that invited her would hear about
16:47her divorce and closed her meeting down
16:48the worst case that I read about of this
16:51kind of situation happening to her was
16:53one time she was in the southern part of
16:54America had about 1,500 to 2,000 people
16:58if she was preaching and right in the
17:00middle of her preaching the pastor walk
17:01to the stage took the microphone away
17:03from her how the ashes esker all
17:05apologized to the crowd for having a
17:08false prophet as come and speak to them
17:09the ushers took her to her hotel room
17:12made her pack her bags put her on the
17:14bus and made her leave town there are
17:16being a million nights she would leave
17:18town crying in disgrace but she had
17:21determined that dead-end street the day
17:24that Kathryn Kuhlman died that she'd
17:26never turned back she'd give her life to
17:27God she'd fighting the cause of Christ
17:30and she'd serve Him
17:31to the end of her days she's about to
17:33have a great happening in her life she
17:35goes up to the Ohio Pennsylvania area
17:39and finds a little church to ask her for
17:41a meeting she doesn't mean and then at
17:44the end of it there were such good
17:45results of people getting saved and then
17:47local people love this redheaded woman
17:49named Katherine Kuhlman that they had a
17:51secret meeting that night after church
17:53and they voted that Bailey decided that
17:56she would be their pastor so the next
17:58morning they came to greet her all happy
18:00and excited she couldn't quite figure
18:02out why they were so excited because the
18:04amount of joy they were expressing
18:07not seem to go with the meetings and
18:08bless not even though they were good and
18:09they said last night we prayed and we
18:12voted and you're our new pastor we now
18:15welcome you as a pastor of this church
18:16and we're glad that you're going to take
18:18it in this coming ghost no no no I can't
18:22be your pastor so they go back and forth
18:24back and forth to this type of dialog
18:26and finally she tells him why they don't
18:28want her to be their pastor she stops
18:31and quietly says the reason why is
18:34because I'm divorced you don't want a
18:36divorcee to be your pastor and they go
18:39and I love this little group they go
18:41well we don't know about that Kathryn we
18:44don't know about what happened in that
18:45Katherine's life but we know this
18:47Kathryn and this Kathryn Kuhlman we want
18:50and this Kathryn Kuhlman we have voted
18:52and we have prayed and God told us you
18:55are our pastor will you please accept
18:57God's will and our acceptance and be our
18:59pastor and when they made that kind of
19:02compassionate statement to miss Cullen
19:04her heart could relax she could settle
19:07back and come into her own with this
19:10little group that loved her and didn't
19:12judge her on her past mistakes
19:13I stood there amazed in 1948 when the
19:19Lilly told me that she'd been healed of
19:23a tumor in Frankie's intubation I was
19:26awed algún is mr. overcame and said that
19:30he receives sight even because I never
19:34touched him I've never prayed balm ITU's
19:36curious as to what it happened
19:40recently in st. Louis globe-democrat
19:45reported that since 1948 committed a
19:50figure that they gave that at least two
19:54million people had been healed by the
19:57power of God through this ministry at
20:01one time I thought this was a this was a
20:04it was a pony but when it happened to me
20:07I've just tell the whole world that this
20:09is the the truest thing that ever was
20:12and I've seen healings here that make
20:14your hair stand on that hi my name is
20:17chell and I had a healing last month I
20:20had a
20:21ankylosing spondylitis which is us right
20:23it's sort of small joints of the spine
20:25and it has been verified by x-ray that
20:28calcification had set in and the doctors
20:31have confirmed it as being incurable and
20:33that it would gets arrested leeward I
20:35had a healing and my spine is straight
20:38and I'm fine and prayed the Lord I'm
20:41better than I have ever been and I'll
20:43never be the same again
20:51two million people this is what the news
20:56media has given that's reason you know
20:59the ministry needs no defense the
21:04miracles of healing need no defense
21:09sitting there there are thousands are
21:12watching and they need may feel as
21:15though that I am overdramatic when
21:18someone is willfully here for the part
21:22of God but they don't understand this
21:25that I'm just this thrilled with the
21:28very last miracle then I saw God
21:32performed as the first time there are no
21:35words in a given vocabulary to describe
21:39spiritual experiences and emotions
21:44because these things are spiritual but
21:47as real as the air that you weave I
21:51thought they needed more
21:52air-conditioning I was getting so
21:54terribly hot and now all at once when I
21:57turn to look at burning my head turns
21:59without holding

22:03everything and I noticed as soon as I
22:06stood up I could feel my feet with
22:09multiple sclerosis you don't have any
22:11feelings I was at 245 pounds vegetable
22:14all humped over to his neck left side
22:16paralyzed I had no ill feeling my hands
22:28straightened up I could turn my neck my
22:31left side had use in it I was a new man
22:34I know from my own experience my 30
22:37years of surgery and working with
22:39patients of this kind that this is
22:42medically impossible that this has to be
22:46a miracle of God to give me this healing
22:49of my back and to relieve this constant
22:52pain that I had in my legs how do you
22:55feel now I feel like I could shock the
23:01world by doing what I was blind and was
23:08let around like blind people need a
23:11doctor about I don't know I started to
23:19cry and I didn't ever cry much because I
23:23think that's one of the things about
23:25glaucoma you don't have much to it in
23:26the eyes or something
23:28and then I thought I saw the state but I
23:30didn't believe it I thought it was in my
23:32mind's eye that I tried and I took my
23:34glasses off and rub my eyes and I said
23:37tequan I see a little boy in the green
23:40sweater I was stunned I couldn't I
23:44couldn't say anything I I kept wanting
23:46to cry but I couldn't it was just that I
23:48was walking around days I couldn't
23:50believe I was there the thing is even
23:52though I believe in the supernatural
23:55part of God I'm not personally
23:57[Music]
23:59I do can become here Kathryn Kuhlman
24:07died following open-heart surgery
24:09it's likely however that her legacy of
24:12love and healing will be an inspiration
24:14for generations to come
24:15the lady from the little town of
24:17Concordia Missouri made too strong an
24:19imprint on too many millions of people
24:21to be soon forgotten Kathryn Kuhlman and
24:25the word miracles go together thousands
24:28of people would come some because they
24:29believed in the God of miracles others
24:31came skeptical but they both were
24:34touched by what God did through Kathryn
24:36Kuhlman you're a scientist he said I
24:41want you to forget Who I am
24:43but this is a scientist and it's true
24:47the two hardest people in the world to
24:49convince a doctor and a scientist what
24:53happened to you today before you knew
24:55you made a statement to the audience
24:58somebody heard I had damage to both ears
25:03and had gone to an ear specialist and
25:05had air forms put on and he turned the
25:09frequency up and he said it's no use you
25:12getting a hearing aid
25:14because both nerds are dead both nerves
25:16are nerves so then then your attendant
25:21down there started to giving me offense
25:23and pretty soon I told myself she's
25:26talking about a new one do you hear me
25:29perfectly no I hear you do you hear me
25:32now I hear you you hear me now I do you
25:36hear me now I know you hear me now oh
25:39you know do you still hear me I still
25:43hear you and the nerves are dead in both
25:46ears and they wouldn't even fit you with
25:48a hearing aid no siree
25:50did you believe when you came in here
25:51today no you not believe when you came
25:55in here today that's right
25:57what's right you didn't believe I didn't
25:59blink anything to help me why did you I
26:05lost faith in everything why did you
26:08come well sort of out of curiosity do
26:12you even know what God is really like do
26:18you want to know this is what God is
26:20really like this is His mercy
26:26now give him a break
26:35now many of the people that would
26:37Minister healing would lay hands on the
26:39sick or have a word of prophecy or
26:40something but Kathryn Kuhlman work
26:42mainly with the word of knowledge and
26:44the presence of God she interpreted what
26:47God was doing in the room helping people
26:49to respond to it or cooperate with it
26:51better a great person right now with a
26:54spinal condition I don't know what it is
26:56stand to your feet for just a second
26:58stand to your feet every person with a
27:00spinal condition just stand to your feet
27:05step out in the aisle don't wait for the
27:07Holy Spirit is moving that quickly step
27:09out on the island bend over do what you
27:12could not have done just bent over the
27:13very second you find that you've been
27:15healed come up here on either side come
27:19to Papa be sure that you yield be bit
27:21give it every test don't do not come up
27:26until after you've been healed come very
27:28quickly if you will be the ruptured disc
27:31somebody do not come up until after
27:33you've been healed just step out right
27:34now you've been coming rockers moves
27:36quickly just as quickly as you can from
27:39all over the great arena I don't go
27:41wearing it from the way up to the very
27:43top step on down just as good as you can
27:46what is this over here ah these yours
27:52bend over right now just bend over
27:58she would come on stage after pacing
28:01back and forth behind the curtain the
28:03music would be going and she'd be going
28:05through what she called a thousand
28:07deaths but when Kathryn Kuhlman would it
28:09be herself so that she could be used
28:10more fully by the Holy Spirit to help
28:13the lost and the sick because she knew
28:14better than anybody else she said that
28:17this was some people's the last hope and
28:19she wanted to make sure that she did
28:20everything she could to give them their
28:22chance to get healed and the connection
28:25with God and when she felt like she was
28:27at that point she'd come out from behind
28:28the stage and walk so rapidly to the
28:30middle that her in her white dress it
28:32looked like she was floating across the
28:34stage then she would talk to the crowd a
28:36little bit and she'd tell them about her
28:38friend the Holy Spirit and she didn't
28:41want her friend the Holy Spirit to leave
28:42because she could do nothing without him
28:44and she'd beg the crowd many times don't
28:47hurt him don't grieve him don't quench
28:49the spirit because if he leaves I can do
28:52nothing and I know that'll be what a
28:54very first thing is the news media will
28:56question me about after the speech
28:58service is the sling power of the Holy
29:01Spirit and you'll try to attribute it to
29:04Kathryn Kuhlman her touch or you'll say
29:10she as she made hand upon them it is not
29:15truth you'll find people all over this
29:19great auditorium who be slain by the
29:25cargo hula goes far out of my sight with
29:27no one touching them whatsoever
29:33I have no healing virtue I have no
29:38healing power don't try to reach out and
29:43touch me don't beg for my touch under
29:49any circumstances reach up and touch him
29:53he's the one she was so dependent upon
29:56the Holy Spirit and she was also so
29:58reverent about giving God all the glory
30:01for everything that happened in the
30:03service that people could see in the
30:06heart where nobody could see but the
30:07person could feel it
30:08miss cumin was in love with for the
30:11father the son of the Holy Spirit and
30:13love being than a handmaiden of the Lord
30:29this don't all today the only
30:34restraining post-sex left in the world
30:36today for good is the power of the holy
30:39spirit that's the only straining power
30:43there is I don't want to be here one in
30:47five minutes that the Holy Spirit is
30:48because I hate my brother I wouldn't
30:51want to be here one five minutes after
30:54the Holy Ghost has been taken out he is
30:58only restraining force in this world
31:02today I think what's going to be like
31:10when the Holy Spirit is take it out when
31:14Jesus Christ came to this earth in the
31:18form of flesh this mighty third person
31:27the Trinity I will always because he
31:31knew he would be as much man as or even
31:34out God he knew he would stand face to
31:37face with temptation he knew the outcome
31:40when he'd stand face to face with the
31:43ego
31:47and we floating went away the only last
31:50thing that he did he made provision that
31:54you and I should not be defeated on a
31:56single score if you're a part of this
32:00big body of believers you do not have to
32:03go double EDP oh what a split second I
32:10have to go down in defeat don't wanna
32:14spit second

32:28greater is he that is within us then he

32:50so you're normal that's wonderful
32:53fellowship of Holy Spirit do you really
32:58know what it means all I know there's a
33:01great ecstasy a being filled with the
33:05Holy Spirit I know we're in a great
33:09charismatic world convention here today
33:14you have great moments of ecstasy I
33:18deliver their great of experience of
33:21emotion in their life then when you
33:23receive the baptism of the Spirit that's
33:26marvelous my friend you know the
33:35experience
33:38of having used it your wheel to the
33:42wheel of the bar

33:59self and/or
34:06I feel that glorious of anointing of the
34:10Holy Ghost that provision that he has
34:12paid for every one of these children

35:59my second miracle in my life the first
36:02miracle I saw was in a Jeremy Walker
36:04meeting the second one was in a Kathryn
36:06Kuhlman meeting now to me the Kathryn
36:09Kuhlman meeting was not powerful because
36:11of what you saw even though that was
36:13great what you felt was the most
36:15powerful thing to me because when this
36:17Kuhlman came on that stage you could
36:19feel a tangible as' of God's presence
36:22whereas the Old Testament called the
36:24Shekinah glory it came like fig jelly on
36:27your face and you could feel it like
36:28weight on your shoulders and it didn't
36:30do like this in the service it came and
36:33it he kept growing steadily and you'd be
36:35in that service for three four sometimes
36:37five hours and you'd wake up thinking is
36:40it over and you've been there that many
36:42hours most folks can't wait for the
36:44preacher to get done in 20 minutes and
36:45you'll be with her for three four and
36:47sometimes five hours I remember at the
36:51toss of maybe Center when I saw Miss
36:53Kuhlman there was Catholic nuns that
36:55came in pushing a woman in a wheelchair
36:58was another nun and her arms were and
37:01hands were like this around her chest I
37:03assumed because she was in a wheelchair
37:05that her legs were not working properly
37:07and maybe deform in some way but I
37:09didn't see them I only saw her arms and
37:11her fingers and her wrists and the
37:14service began and you know nothing
37:17spectacular had happened and all of a
37:20sudden was coonley in to call out
37:22miracles someone's being healed of
37:24deafness here or someone's heart problem
37:26here and she just said there's something
37:28happened in the wheelchair section and
37:30then she just went on to do something
37:32else in the service I saw that little
37:35crippled nun nobody touched her no one
37:38spoke to her directly all of a sudden
37:41her wrists begin to move slowly like
37:43this and the little nuns that a broader
37:45jump down beside the wheelchair and
37:47pulled out their prayer beads and I
37:48guess they were praying or something
37:50that was new to me as a little boy I was
37:52raised Pentecostal so they hold Catholic
37:54faith and how they worship was was all
37:56new so that was strange to me but I
37:58still remember them getting on their
38:00knees and pull out little prayer beads
38:01now that I know they were prayer beans
38:03and
38:04the wrists begin to move like this and
38:06then something really unusual happen
38:08each finger begin to pop like this until
38:11all 10 were like that and when all 10
38:14fingers were like that then you could
38:16begin to hear her bones pop and crack as
38:18something or someone invisible begin to
38:22pull and their arms were totally
38:23stretched out like this and perfectly
38:25normal and then she stood up and the
38:29nuns around her stood up behind her
38:30trying to catch her if she was gonna
38:32fall and she beginning to wobble and
38:34walk a little bit and took about three
38:36or four steps and then she began to walk
38:38normal but her arms ever came down and
38:40she walked around the total bottom of
38:42the auditorium and Catherine and halfway
38:44through begin to say come up here and
38:46she can't walk in and get walking and
38:47finally they got the nuns to come on the
38:49platform and when the lady in her arms
38:51are still out was walking around the
38:53platform and Catherine couldn't get her
38:55to stop to talk to her so she talked to
38:56the other nuns and finally the lady
38:58walked off the stage and she was
39:00perfectly healed that was a miracle
39:02service that I saw with my own eyes that
39:04God did in Kathryn Kuhlman now I've seen
39:07a lot of pick a lot of preachers a lot
39:09of films of great preachers but I've
39:11never seen anybody like Kathryn Kuhlman
39:13we're about to go to another clip I
39:15guess the best way for you to enjoy is
39:17for you to hear her for yourself and
39:19know that what God did to through her
39:21and God did for her he can do for you -

39:36you mean this is

39:47this is the most beautiful shot I would
39:55have come to Las Vegas just for the
39:57healing of this youngster how old are
40:00you honey
40:02tell the people jar what's your name I
40:07want you to see this little wheelchair
40:10look this little wheelchair but made for
40:15a little 11 year old boy rheumatoid
40:20arthritis
40:21this is grandmother the grandmother who
40:25brought him remembered walk across the
40:29stage honey walk across there
40:33[Applause]
40:40if you want to see a beautiful face if
40:44you want to see a beautiful Icarus file
40:46in this face
40:47here's his wheelchair how many feel like
40:50is all worthwhile
40:51what about him look at his realty like a
40:56smile on his face you can't doubt this
41:01smile you can't doubt this smile and
41:05Grandma broader what do you live here in
41:11Vegas where do you people go to church
41:17First Baptist Church pick him up real
41:24high walk again he come up real high

42:09vowed to give you the blow it's not my
42:13mind it's not my power but it's by my
42:16spirit
42:17pull down the aisle honey I wanna go
42:19down this main aisle turn around turn
42:22around put your old wheelchair honey
42:26there's this holy ground Oh God I wanna
42:32see you're riding your bike
42:33tomorrow tomorrow you'll be riding
42:36bicycle paralyzed came from Denver
42:42totally paralyzed on this side no
42:43feeling and her sons with her she just
42:47got out of a hospital and you did you
42:50fly in from Denver yes other people what
42:53we just flew in yesterday morning and my
43:00mother had a stroke in June of 72 and
43:03I've gotta tell you something this is a
43:05confirmation because I'm a flight
43:07attendant for United Airlines and I
43:09graduated and went to New York and I
43:12caught home and talked to my father and
43:14he said that she had a complete stroke
43:16and they didn't know what the she was
43:17gonna live or die and my first OJT
43:20flight was to Las Vegas the next day the
43:24next day it was to Las Vegas and I said
43:27oh Lord
43:27and it was a brand new I wasn't even a
43:30Christian and I just prayed that the
43:32Lord would heal her and when we believed
43:34it and we felt led to come and and my
43:37mother's had paralysis on the right side
43:39she just got out of Swedish Hospital in
43:41Denver and had over $3,000 worth of
43:44medical tests run on her a week and a
43:46half ago and the doctors had to be on
43:48medication the rest of her life and
43:51she's
43:55[Applause]

44:03pick up your lips pick up your legs pick
44:07up your legs you can't open your hand
44:11she could never squeeze me this hard
44:13before her in the right hand oh yeah are
44:15you sure this is your mother did you
44:21expect all this to happen oh well I kept
44:24I didn't know if I had
44:30[Applause]
44:32that my friend is the power of God
44:36that's true for the old skeptic that I
44:39didn't push her down
44:43this is the power of God in this place
44:46oh honey don't forget again you forget
44:49about the way nobody cares
44:56like a wig who cares
44:58honey look at this this is really that's
45:03all right honey that's beautiful
45:06that's beautiful that's all right in a
45:11few minutes I'll take it off and try it
45:13on myself and see how I get it
45:17Kathryn Kuhlman's life ended in 1976 I
45:20remember the day that she died I turned
45:23on the television and the news was on
45:24and the first news item was Kathryn
45:28Kuhlman had died it was a sad day when
45:30one of these great people dying and go
45:33on to heaven because we missed them we
45:35missed their anointing we missed their
45:37gift but I want to tell you how she died
45:39because I think it's a very interesting
45:40story miss Cullen had a heart problem
45:43throughout most of her life that's one
45:45reason why she talked kind of over
45:47pronounce eiated her words if it was the
45:49Holy Spirit in God you know if you don't
45:52you heard her just a few moments ago
45:53part of that was because her heart was
45:56the size of two fists when she died
45:57instead of one which is the natural size
45:59of a heart and so she collapsed in Los
46:02Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium and
46:04before she had her last service this is
46:07what carking Pearson told me he was her
46:09guest soloist at that service and she
46:12normally paced back and forth before the
46:14service as I told you before in 'then
46:17yourself so she'd get ready to minister
46:19to the people and this time is it a
46:21patient she was holding onto the curtain
46:22because she was so frail Carlton said
46:25that you could see her heartbeat through
46:26her white dress because she was so thin
46:29and so frail and he didn't know if she
46:31if he should go up to her and hold her
46:33up or stay away because the rule was
46:35when she was in this time of a prayer no
46:38one talked to her no one touched her no
46:40one asked her a question but because of
46:42this physical condition he was concerned
46:44so he closed his eyes and thinking Lord
46:47what should I do when he opened his eyes
46:48back up she was gone and out on the
46:50stage the power got to come on her and
46:53given her last request her last request
46:55was let me have lean on him one more
46:58time
46:58for this service she walked out and did
47:01a three to four hour miracle service
47:03came back behind the curtain and
47:05collapsed never to stand up again to say
47:08the great words I believe in miracles
47:10because I believe in God to the vast
47:11crowds they took her to the hospital and
47:14then from there they flew her in a
47:15private plane from Los Angeles to
47:17Oklahoma in the city of Tulsa at that
47:19time they have one of the best heart
47:21sinners in the country and they did
47:23open-heart surgery on her and so she was
47:26in recovery and the secretary mr.
47:28Coleman called Oral Roberts to come and
47:31pray for her
47:31all on Emma Roberts headquarters were in
47:33Tulsa Oklahoma
47:34I asked oral one time what was it like
47:37the day you went to Kathryn Kuhlman's
47:39room to pray for her and Evelyn had just
47:41finished the meal and walked into the
47:42kitchen and sat down beside me so I got
47:44everyone's rendition and all's rendition
47:47of what happened when they went to pray
47:48for Kathryn Kuhlman they walk into the
47:50room they said and she looked very fair
47:53pale and frail and the oral said I was
47:56present and I knew that the Lord's power
47:59was present there also to heal her I was
48:03aware that it was there I felt it in my
48:05hands he's unfamiliar with the anointing
48:08to hear because I prayed for millions of
48:10people and I've seen thousands of them
48:11healed so I reached out to pray for her
48:14and I closed my eyes and Evelyn's that's
48:16when I grabbed your arm oil and I shook
48:19orals arm and said look cuz all all did
48:23not see that Kathryn had put up a finger
48:25and did this and because he could not
48:27talk she could not have enough energy to
48:29utter word so she had enough energy to
48:32raise her hand and her finger and did
48:34this and did this and Evelyn said all I
48:39think she wants to go to heaven so oral
48:42turned to Kathryn and said Kathryn do
48:44you want to be healed or do you want to
48:45go to heaven and he said that she put
48:48her finger back up and this went like
48:50that which meant she wanted to go to
48:52heaven so all on Evelyn laid hands on
48:54her very gently and ask the Lord to
48:57grant that request that miss Cullen had
48:59run her course and had done a great job
49:00with her ministry and representing the
49:03healing ministry to millions of people
49:05around the world and in just a few days
49:07Kathryn Kuhlman but leave her body and
49:09make her entrance into heaven I want to
49:12end this show with my favorite quote of
49:14Kathryn Kuhlman
49:15one of the reporters one time asked her
49:17what are you going to say when you've
49:19seen Jesus for the first time and she
49:21stopped and you never watched her very
49:23much she would killed her head sometimes
49:25when she'd become very personable she
49:27said I know exactly what I'm gonna say
49:29when I finally seen face to face I want
49:33to say dear Jesus I tried I did the best
49:37that I knew how and I think when she
49:40went to heaven and she saw Jesus for the
49:42very first time that's exactly what she
49:44said

49:58Oh
50:04in here they can't come up and they come
50:16from the balconies they come in the
50:18bleachers
50:23[Music]
50:29and the word sitting he must be born
50:31again he must be born again human come
50:38upon to be I will in no wise cast that
50:41and they come and steal they come
50:44standard with your eyes closed in your
50:47heads uplifted unashamedly but audibly
50:53say dear Jesus
