- 0:00I'm going to say it. There's nothing
- 0:03more excruciating than feeling like you
- 0:05aren't worthy of all your desires.
- 0:08Doubts are extremely [music] painful and
- 0:11sometimes it just feels like there's
- 0:13nothing we can do about it. I want you
- 0:17to know that whatever you're going
- 0:19through, you have the potential
- 0:23to achieve your greatest desires. You
- 0:26are not alone with this. and I am here
- 0:29to walk [music] you through how to
- 0:31recover from negative thoughts. So the
- 0:35first thing I want you to ask yourself
- 0:37is why do I believe these negative
- 0:40thoughts? And the first thing that might
- 0:42come to mind is [music] something
- 0:44external, like something that's outside
- 0:49of your control. Something that [music]
- 0:51you don't really think of internally,
- 0:52like I have negative thoughts because
- 0:55I'm ugly, for example, or I don't have a
- 0:58good job, or I don't have the partner of
- 1:00[music] my life. Honey, I want you to
- 1:05pause for a moment [music] and think
- 1:07about this.
- 1:09Is your appearance
- 1:11is your job? Is the lack of a partner
- 1:15[music] the cause of those negative
- 1:17thoughts? No. The thing inside of your
- 1:21skull is your mind has been plagued
- 1:25[music] by some sort of trauma that went
- 1:28unresolved and it had it has spiraled
- 1:31out of control into [music] these
- 1:33negative thoughts. Your mind has created
- 1:36these gaps within that it does not want
- 1:40to close [music] and it tears the gaps
- 1:43open even further by adding more and
- 1:46more negative thoughts. Therefore, it
- 1:48keeps you in the cycle and [music] the
- 1:50cycle will keep on going until you
- 1:53directly confront it. So the first thing
- 1:56I want to talk about is filling the gaps
- 1:59within. How I define the gaps within is
- 2:03basically an unresolved [music]
- 2:06trauma, insecurity or doubt.
- 2:10And it can be anything really. [music]
- 2:12It could be like some sort of childhood
- 2:14trauma whether somebody bullied you,
- 2:17harmed you [music]
- 2:18or did something that put you in
- 2:21survival mode and kept you in this cycle
- 2:24[music] of keeping these thoughts on
- 2:26loop. When I say confronting these
- 2:28thoughts, [music]
- 2:29I want you to do the following. I want
- 2:33you to consider therapy. I want you to
- 2:36consider shadow work. I want you to
- 2:38consider journaling. [music]
- 2:40I want you to even talk to somebody that
- 2:43you trust on a regular basis to get
- 2:45[music] these thoughts out of your mind.
- 2:47When we get these thoughts out of our
- 2:50mind, not only do we get a [music]
- 2:53deeper insight of the psychology behind
- 2:56our thoughts, but we also are
- 2:58energetically getting it [music] outside
- 3:00of our body. When we speak, we are
- 3:03releasing energy. And when we speak
- 3:07about our negative thoughts, our doubts
- 3:10[music] and our insecurities, we are
- 3:12energetically purging that. So whether
- 3:16you have access to therapy or not, you
- 3:20have [music] so many resources that you
- 3:22can do like and shadow journaling
- 3:25doesn't have to be some type of fancy
- 3:26ritual. It could [music] just look like
- 3:28you grabbing a pen and a paper and start
- 3:31writing down everything that has
- 3:33traumatized you or that you're insecure
- 3:36about. The second thing that I want to
- 3:39emphasize here is taking it slow.
- 3:43Self-discovery is not something that you
- 3:45want to dive into because for many
- 3:47people it has sent them into a [music]
- 3:50long spiral of depression. Some people
- 3:54can handle this, but for people who are
- 3:56deeply traumatized and wounded from
- 3:59within, [music] I really want you to
- 4:01take caution around this. And if you're
- 4:03somebody who has considered therapy, it
- 4:06is best that you get a therapist and
- 4:11go [music] to a therapist who is
- 4:16receptive to your input on when you're
- 4:19ready to reveal things to your
- 4:20therapist. [music]
- 4:21For example, when I was 17 years old, I
- 4:24went to therapy because I was suffering
- 4:26from a lot of shame that was directed
- 4:29[music] at me from others regarding a
- 4:33relationship that I was in. It was a
- 4:34very abusive, unfair relationship.
- 4:38And [music]
- 4:39there were rumors, very negative rumors
- 4:42spread about me [music]
- 4:43regarding this relationship. Thus, I did
- 4:45break it off with the partner that I
- 4:47had. And my therapist told me that she
- 4:52would never try [music] to open me up to
- 4:55talking about this and that I could
- 4:57approach her with the topic when I was
- 4:59ready. And [music]
- 5:01I was terrified of speaking of this
- 5:04topic in front of my therapist because
- 5:06of all the shame that I carried
- 5:08regarding the relationship.
- 5:11And 2 years later after I enrolled in
- 5:14therapy was when I [music] finally
- 5:17opened up to my therapist about the
- 5:20relationship. [music] And I kid you not,
- 5:23it literally took me like 30 minutes to
- 5:25unravel the [music] entire psychological
- 5:28attachment I had to the relationship.
- 5:31Please remember that if you are going to
- 5:33get a therapist, your therapist should
- 5:35not entice [music] you to open up about
- 5:38something that you are not comfortable
- 5:40with sharing. [music] Now, I say therapy
- 5:43is great, but sometimes there are things
- 5:46that therapy cannot address because they
- 5:48are merely too personal. Thus, why I am
- 5:51adding journaling and shadowing work
- 5:53[music] into my emphasis on self
- 5:57rituals. When it comes to journaling and
- 6:00shadow work, they are more private and
- 6:02you do not have any limits to what you
- 6:04can [music]
- 6:05inquire about yourself or anything that
- 6:08you can probe deeper into. [music] Like
- 6:12it can be it can be really anything any
- 6:15aspect about yourself. Like maybe you
- 6:16want to ask yourself
- 6:19why do I care so much about what people
- 6:22think of me? And you might trace that
- 6:24back to, well, my brother bullied me
- 6:28when I was 13 years old and I fell into
- 6:31a deep depression because I was scared
- 6:33to leave the house and [music]
- 6:36I was scared that other people were
- 6:37going to bully me for my appearance.
- 6:39[music] When you find the root cause of
- 6:41that trauma, you're able to identify
- 6:45what [music]
- 6:46exactly you can do to reverse that. And
- 6:49it's very hard at first to pull the
- 6:53roots of this trauma because it goes
- 6:57back so far. So you do have the choice
- 7:01to work by yourself with this, but you
- 7:04also have the choice to reach out to
- 7:06somebody, whether that be a therapist
- 7:08[music] or a family member or a loved
- 7:11one that you trust deeply. It is up to
- 7:13you. And what matters is that you do it
- 7:16effectively and you do it discreetly.
- 7:19Now the final thing that I want to
- 7:20emphasize here is that even when you
- 7:23have completed the shadow work, you have
- 7:26completed your self inquiries and you've
- 7:29worked successfully with yourself,
- 7:31others or a therapist to resolve this
- 7:33trauma.
- 7:35Self-discovery and selfmastery [music]
- 7:38is never ending. It never stops. And the
- 7:43moment you stop [music] inquiring about
- 7:46yourself, your psyche, and yourself as a
- 7:49human being, [music] you almost
- 7:53forget how to live. Because not only is
- 7:56life about discovering what's outside of
- 7:59us, [music]
- 8:00but it's also about discovering what's
- 8:03within. Interpersonal relationships are
- 8:06just as important as the relationship
- 8:08that you have with yourself. Believe it
- 8:11or not, people who understand themselves
- 8:13better are actually more socially adept
- 8:16[music]
- 8:17and they carry longer relationships.
- 8:19They carry more meaningful relationships
- 8:22and they are happier. So once you've
- 8:25done all the work, [music] just make
- 8:27sure to do self-maintenance with your
- 8:30self-discovery. Ask yourself, is there
- 8:33anything that I feel I have left behind?
- 8:36Do I have any more [music] gaps that I
- 8:39need to address? How can I better show
- 8:41up in my relationships?
- 8:43And most importantly, how do I keep
- 8:47these negative thoughts at a [music]
- 8:48distance in order to live the life of my
- 8:51dreams? Thanks for tuning in to this
- 8:53video, guys. I love you so much. Please
- 8:57[music] make sure to like, comment, and
- 8:58subscribe if this video resonated with
- 9:00you. And until next time, I will see you
- 9:02guys. Bye.
