- 0:00I think genuinely that this is one of
- 0:01those videos that if you watch the whole
- 0:03way through, genuinely, could be the one
- 0:05video that actually changes your life,
- 0:07like the pivotal moment where you become
- 0:09a completely different type of human
- 0:11being, or you see the world in a
- 0:13completely different type of way. A lot
- 0:14of people look at my life and what I've
- 0:16been able to do by the age of 26, and
- 0:18it's a life that a lot of people would
- 0:20see as being the ultimate view of
- 0:22success. And I'm not saying that I'm
- 0:23like a way to talk myself up or sound
- 0:25prideful, rather it's just the reality.
- 0:27But there's so much deeper layers to
- 0:29what being successful truly is. And this
- 0:32type of video is going to be me
- 0:33basically talking to a younger Alex. All
- 0:35these principles I wrote down on the
- 0:36sticky note that I wish I would have
- 0:38known genuinely sooner, but I've amassed
- 0:41and learned over the years. Again, I'm
- 0:42only 26, so I'm not super old. I've had
- 0:44to grow up pretty fast and my mental age
- 0:46is a lot older than what my physical age
- 0:48says, and I think you'll understand that
- 0:49by the way that I view things and speak
- 0:51throughout these various different
- 0:52topics. So, this is going to be a
- 0:53longer, probably more winded video, and
- 0:56if you came here for straight-up
- 0:57entertainment, then this is probably not
- 0:59the video for you. But if you are
- 1:00craving and wanting something more out
- 1:02of life, not just financially, but in
- 1:03all areas, understand like this is
- 1:05coming from the heart. I'm giving you
- 1:07everything here. There's not anything
- 1:08that I'm leaving off on the table. And
- 1:10if you actually do digest this
- 1:11information, I do genuinely think that
- 1:13it is extremely valuable and can be
- 1:17something that actually really does
- 1:18change your life. So, this is going to
- 1:20be me speaking to you, speaking to a
- 1:22younger version of myself, on some
- 1:23really core concepts that I've learned
- 1:25throughout the years of of becoming more
- 1:26successful. Basically, again, I have
- 1:28like 15 to 17 points here. The way we're
- 1:29going to structure this is I'm going to
- 1:30explain each point, and I'm going to
- 1:32have a core statement for each one, so
- 1:34we can kind of stay on track. The first
- 1:36one I have here, there is no such thing
- 1:38as luck. Now, if you guys know who
- 1:41Seneca is, the Stoic philosopher guy, he
- 1:43said, "Luck is what happens when
- 1:44preparation meets opportunity." I cannot
- 1:48stand when people see someone who is
- 1:50more successful than them or has a
- 1:52better physique than them, and they
- 1:53immediately go to saying that person
- 1:55just got lucky. We have to dive in
- 1:56deeper and understand, okay, why do
- 1:57people tend to do this? And usually,
- 2:00it's because they don't want to act like
- 2:02they have to be in competition with the
- 2:03other person. So, in order to protect
- 2:05their own ego, they try and disqualify
- 2:08the other person who's doing better than
- 2:09them. This is why people have a better
- 2:11physique than someone else, a lot of
- 2:12people say, "Oh, that person's" They
- 2:13jump to the conclusion without knowing
- 2:15that person, "Oh, it's just steroids."
- 2:16Or when they see somebody who's driving
- 2:17a nice car, they're like, "Oh, they have
- 2:19daddy's money." Whatever. I've seen this
- 2:20time and time again. And I don't get
- 2:22upset when I hear that from people. I
- 2:24rather feel deeper because I feel bad
- 2:26for that person because they're clearly
- 2:27struggling with some sort of ego issue.
- 2:29Think about it this way. Two types of
- 2:31people. One person, when he sees
- 2:32somebody more successful than them, he
- 2:33chooses to ask that person questions,
- 2:35"What can I learn from you?" The other
- 2:37person says it's just luck, chooses to
- 2:39disqualify the person from being any
- 2:41anyone credible at all, and gains
- 2:42nothing from it. One person gains
- 2:44insight and information that will
- 2:45actually move the needle in their life
- 2:47potentially. The other person literally
- 2:49gains nothing. They're in the same spot
- 2:50that they always were and will be.
- 2:52Understand that. Let me give another
- 2:53example. There's no such thing as luck.
- 2:55It's when preparation meets opportunity.
- 2:58Let me explain it this way. I started
- 2:59blowing up on social media uh from
- 3:01TikTok in 2020. But, I trained in the
- 3:04gym for 4 years prior, and I had an
- 3:06amazing, incredible physique that I was
- 3:08able to use to launch my personal brand
- 3:10on social media. If I had no physique, I
- 3:12would have not have been able to take
- 3:13advantage of the timing of TikTok. The
- 3:15timing was incredibly, in a sense,
- 3:17lucky, but it was an opportunity. And I
- 3:19was able to take advantage of said
- 3:21opportunity because I was prepared. Get
- 3:23rid of this concept that in order to be
- 3:24become successful, you have to be lucky.
- 3:26There's no such thing as luck, okay?
- 3:28It's preparation meeting opportunity. If
- 3:30you were not prepared to take advantage
- 3:31of certain opportunities, then you will
- 3:33not be successful. You have to be
- 3:35prepared, okay? That is a core concept
- 3:37that I need to just get out the way off
- 3:38of it because people constantly try and
- 3:39disqualify other people's success just
- 3:41by blaming it on luck. That is an issue
- 3:43that you need to deal with because that
- 3:45will prevent you from learning more and
- 3:47becoming a better human being. Second
- 3:49thing, control your dopamine, or it will
- 3:51control your life. This one molecule I
- 3:53just started reading a book. It's called
- 3:54the molecule of more. This one molecule,
- 3:57if you cannot learn how to control it,
- 3:58it will control you. You will never be
- 4:00successful or happy in life. But, if you
- 4:02can learn to use it for you, you will
- 4:04become extremely powerful in all areas
- 4:07of life. Core line here, when your brain
- 4:08becomes addicted to effortless
- 4:10stimulation, meaningful work starts to
- 4:12feel unbearable. This is why for some of
- 4:14the people who already clicked off this
- 4:15video, they're not going to be able to
- 4:16watch it the whole way through because
- 4:17it's not giving them enough dopamine. We
- 4:19have a massive dopamine issue in today's
- 4:21day and age. I have 700 people in
- 4:23Pathway, it's my social media mentorship
- 4:25group that I do. One of the most common
- 4:26questions that I get asked from people
- 4:28isn't even social media advice, it's
- 4:29Alex, how do I become more motivated? I
- 4:31don't like spending time on creating
- 4:34content or editing. It's because you
- 4:35have a dopamine issue. We live in a
- 4:37society now where now more than ever it
- 4:39is so easy with no effort to have the
- 4:42highest spikes of dopamine, such as doom
- 4:45scrolling, watching things on the
- 4:46internet that you should not be
- 4:47watching, eating junk food, playing
- 4:49video games. All these different things
- 4:51are so stimulating, and they require no
- 4:53effort to get the dopamine. We're
- 4:55initially hunter-gatherers, brother,
- 4:57okay? Back before all of this, we had to
- 4:59Our sense of dopamine came from an
- 5:01exhausting hunt to where we got our
- 5:02prey, and we could take it home to our
- 5:04family or tribe, whatever, and that was
- 5:06the reward. We got a dick That was the
- 5:08dopamine hit of succeeding a task,
- 5:10right? But, there was a lot of effort
- 5:11that had to be done to do that. So, this
- 5:13is how it works. Because you are so used
- 5:15to getting so much dopamine for no
- 5:16effort, when you find the time to try
- 5:18and listen to a video like this or read
- 5:20a book or listen to a podcast or work on
- 5:22your business or start going to the gym,
- 5:24you find that it is so hard because it
- 5:27takes a lot more effort to get the same
- 5:29dopamine that you can get by just doom
- 5:30scrolling on your phone or watching a
- 5:32movie or playing video games. And that's
- 5:34the issue. You will be held a slave to
- 5:36the thing that is keeping you addicted,
- 5:38and it literally is an addiction that
- 5:40you have to learn how to break. You have
- 5:41to learn how to reset your levels of
- 5:43dopamine. This is how it works. When you
- 5:45can learn to control dopamine, and you
- 5:48you only give your body it from the high
- 5:50effort lower dopamine activities and you
- 5:52rid it of the low effort high dopamine
- 5:54activities, your body is only getting
- 5:56that high that molecule from high effort
- 5:59things such as going to the gym, working
- 6:00on your business, listening to podcast,
- 6:02reading books. It takes time and
- 6:04discipline to to create this transition,
- 6:07but this is why now when I go to drive
- 6:09somewhere far or if I'm on a plane
- 6:11instead of watching a movie or listening
- 6:13to music, I put on a podcast, I put on
- 6:16an audiobook, I listen to history
- 6:18videos, whatever. And I actually now am
- 6:20addicted to the thing that I used to
- 6:21hate doing because I thought it was too
- 6:23boring. I'm now addicted to it because
- 6:24now my body is only getting dopamine
- 6:26from those things because I rid it of
- 6:28all the other things. I'm not saying you
- 6:29have to go and stop playing video games
- 6:30and stop enjoying some of these things.
- 6:32You can have it, but in moderation.
- 6:35Okay, you have to have self-awareness to
- 6:36realize whether or not you were addicted
- 6:38to something or not and have the
- 6:39self-control to rid those things. So I
- 6:41recommend a dopamine detox. Okay, what
- 6:43does this look like? A lot of people
- 6:44need this if you're watching this
- 6:45majority of the time, you probably need
- 6:46it. You have to go a period of it's like
- 6:48fasting, a week or two, where you
- 6:50literally rid yourself completely of all
- 6:52of the low effort high dopamine
- 6:53activities. The doom scrolling, the
- 6:54watching things you shouldn't be
- 6:55watching, the junk food, the whatever
- 6:57might be that you clearly are doing that
- 6:59you were addicted to. Whether you like
- 7:00it or not, you're addicted to it. And
- 7:02you're going to replace those things
- 7:03with the high effort lower dopamine
- 7:05things such as working on your business,
- 7:07going to the gym, eating healthy,
- 7:09reading books, listening to podcasts,
- 7:11whatever it might be that are focused on
- 7:13building yourself up spiritually
- 7:14>> [music]
- 7:15>> and intellectually or physically. It's
- 7:16not easy. You're probably going to
- 7:18relapse. Over time, you will become more
- 7:20so addicted to the higher effort things
- 7:23that will actually move the needle of
- 7:24your life that will actually lead to you
- 7:26becoming more successful. Think about it
- 7:27this way. Who do you think's going to be
- 7:28more well off in life? The person who is
- 7:30obsessed with learning or the person who
- 7:32is obsessed with playing video games and
- 7:34doom scrolling? It's a no-brainer, okay?
- 7:36And if you can biohack this molecule and
- 7:38make it work for you, you will find that
- 7:40that side here that sounds boring will
- 7:43actually become extremely fun and
- 7:44engaging once you rid it of all the
- 7:46other distractions. The wrong people can
- 7:47destroy your potential. This goes for
- 7:49romantic relationships or friendships.
- 7:51If you look at some of the most powerful
- 7:53men in the Bible in the Old Testament
- 7:55like Samson, King David, they fell to
- 7:58women. Their weaknesses were from women,
- 8:01okay? So this is why I say I'm not
- 8:03saying all women are bad, I'm saying
- 8:04romantic relationships are a big one and
- 8:06friendships, the people that you
- 8:07surround yourself with is extremely we
- 8:10are as humans we crave connection, which
- 8:12is great, but sometimes we crave it so
- 8:14much that we disregard the imperfections
- 8:16of people have and if people have
- 8:18imperfections that can become toxic and
- 8:20we are so attached to them and their
- 8:21toxicity will leak into our lives and
- 8:23that will make us miserable. And this is
- 8:26why men and I'm guilty of had this
- 8:27happen in my life plenty of times where
- 8:29I crashed out, I almost wanted to not be
- 8:31here anymore all because of a woman,
- 8:33okay? So you have to audit your romantic
- 8:35relationships and your friendships and
- 8:37determine and distinguish and have
- 8:38discernment whe- not that person is not
- 8:41in a sense beneficial for you in in
- 8:43terms of a transactional moment, like
- 8:45but just examine what their intentions
- 8:47are, examine their morality, their
- 8:49standards for things, their goals in
- 8:51life and if there is an misalignment,
- 8:53you really need to question whether or
- 8:54not you should have that person
- 8:56genuinely in your life. I'm not saying
- 8:57to get rid of your day ones or anything
- 8:59like that, but there's not a lot of good
- 9:01people fully in this world. We live in a
- 9:02fallen world, okay? So if you find that
- 9:05the common rule of thumb is if you were
- 9:06to have like a child right now, like a
- 9:08newborn, like what people would you
- 9:10generally feel comfortable with them
- 9:11raising your kid? And if you can't
- 9:12answer that right away and like you
- 9:14would be like oh I can't trust Johnny or
- 9:16my my girl like I don't know if she's
- 9:18ready for that, I don't know if I could
- 9:19trust her, then they probably shouldn't
- 9:20be someone that you're actually putting
- 9:22effort into maintaining that
- 9:23relationship with, okay? It's just a sad
- 9:26truth. Sometimes it can get a little bit
- 9:28lonely because you have to do some
- 9:30pulling of weeds and that can be hard
- 9:33and that can be painful at times, but
- 9:34it's extremely important the people that
- 9:36you were around are most likely that one
- 9:38quote, you like show me your friends and
- 9:40I'll show you where you're going to be
- 9:41at, whatever. It's a very true concept.
- 9:42You have to surround yourself with
- 9:44people who have similar intentions that
- 9:45you have with life, similar desires, and
- 9:47you'll find that you will cultivate that
- 9:49environment more so easily together,
- 9:51okay? Controversial one, money will not
- 9:54make you happy. Core line here, money
- 9:56can improve your circumstances, but if
- 9:58it is your only purpose, no amount will
- 10:00ever feel like enough. If money is your
- 10:02ultimate driver in life, you will never
- 10:05be happy nor content. Read Ecclesiastes
- 10:07in the Bible if you don't believe me.
- 10:08Everything is a chasing after the wind.
- 10:10Money is awesome, it's great. It allowed
- 10:11me to buy the house that I'm in, it
- 10:13allowed me to buy my dad his dream car,
- 10:14my mom her dream car. Cultivated an
- 10:16amazing, incredible life. It's awesome,
- 10:18yes. But it's not my motive. A lot This
- 10:20is the issue. Money is great, but if it
- 10:22is your motive only, if it is your god,
- 10:25then you will be left unsatisfied. You
- 10:26will find that the goal posts that you
- 10:28had, I want to make this amount of
- 10:29money, then I'll be happy, will
- 10:30continuously keep moving farther and
- 10:32farther away from you,
- 10:33>> [music]
- 10:33>> and that is exhausting. That is when
- 10:35when that is where you're trying to get
- 10:36your happiness from, it will never fully
- 10:38fill you up. It's like trying to fill up
- 10:39a cup that has bunch of holes in it.
- 10:41There's no amount of money that can fill
- 10:43that cup and pour it, it just keeps
- 10:44seeping out, okay? You will never be
- 10:46fully satiated, fully content and happy.
- 10:49You have to have a deeper meaning why. I
- 10:51just posted a video on TikTok I talked
- 10:52about I literally will read it word for
- 10:54word [music] for you cuz I literally
- 10:55just posted it 2 minutes ago. A man
- 10:57doesn't want money to be happy, a man
- 10:58wants money to make the people he loves
- 11:00happy. All money does is it fix it fixes
- 11:02money problems. I think from the moment
- 11:04of not having money to having the money
- 11:06where you're in some sort not having to
- 11:08worry about it, there's an angle of yes,
- 11:10you are less stressed and a little bit
- 11:11more happy. But the from here to here,
- 11:13there's no extra happiness that is
- 11:15gained, okay? You have to have something
- 11:17deeper than that that is motivating you
- 11:19to become more successful in life. If
- 11:21[music] you keep thinking that money's
- 11:23going to make you happy, then you will
- 11:24never be happy. There's plenty people
- 11:25who are ultra successful who [music] are
- 11:27extremely depressed, okay? There's
- 11:29deeper things that are more important
- 11:31such as family and experiences and
- 11:33relationships. All those things are more
- 11:35important. So, for me, I want to retire
- 11:36young so that I can spend every living,
- 11:38breathing moment with them. Time is the
- 11:40most valuable resource in life, and
- 11:42money can allow you to buy back your
- 11:44time. I will be able to retire very
- 11:46young, and that is my motivator so that
- 11:48I can spend every moment with my friends
- 11:51and family, rather than work till I'm 60
- 11:53or 70 and then not being able to spend
- 11:55quality time. Who knows if my parents
- 11:57will even be here? I would rather chase
- 11:59after the success now, become well off
- 12:02to where I can buy back my time. Not so
- 12:04I can buy a bunch of cool stuff. I want
- 12:06to have freedom of time so that I can
- 12:08drop my kids off at every football
- 12:09practice and be present [music]
- 12:11throughout every single aspect of their
- 12:12life, rather than be at a job. That's
- 12:15the way that I view it, okay? I hope
- 12:16that that makes sense. Your mind is
- 12:18being programmed, okay? Core line here,
- 12:20the thoughts you repeatedly feed to
- 12:22subconscious eventually become the
- 12:24beliefs, actions, and identity that
- 12:26shape your life. One of my favorite
- 12:28books that genuinely probably changed
- 12:30the trajectory of my entire life, two
- 12:32books written by Napoleon Hill, written
- 12:33like the 1940s, Think and Grow Rich and
- 12:36Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill.
- 12:38Such interesting concepts here, infinite
- 12:40intelligence and auto suggestion. I'm
- 12:42going to talk about auto suggestion.
- 12:44Your subconscious mind is extremely
- 12:46powerful, similar to the dopamine
- 12:48concept that can either completely build
- 12:50you up and work for you, or it can
- 12:52completely work against you. If you
- 12:54genuinely have doubt that you can become
- 12:56successful, your mind will cultivate
- 12:59that. If you genuinely do believe
- 13:00without a doubt that you will be
- 13:02successful, your mind will seek and act
- 13:05on opportunities that presents itself
- 13:07more efficiently. There's been times in
- 13:08my life where I've had a lot of doubts
- 13:11with my social media growth, right, when
- 13:12I first started. And I would find in
- 13:14those moments where I'm neglecting
- 13:15myself and I actually say bad things to
- 13:18myself, it's not going to work out, I'm
- 13:19going to have to go back to my job,
- 13:20whatever, that whenever I have an idea
- 13:22pop up for like a content idea, I
- 13:24immediately shoot it down. I immediately
- 13:25overthink it and I talk myself out of
- 13:27it. Versus when I'm in a positive state
- 13:29of mind, I believe that it will happen
- 13:31no matter what. I find that I have ideas
- 13:33flowing in my mind 24/7 and because I'm
- 13:36in a positive environment and a flow of
- 13:38energy, I immediately go and act on
- 13:39them. And that is what's going to move
- 13:41the needle of my life to become more
- 13:42successful. That's why I was able to
- 13:44grow on social media because every
- 13:45single idea I had, I didn't second guess
- 13:47it. I didn't think how other people
- 13:48going to view me. I didn't think
- 13:49negatively about it. I thought
- 13:50positively about it and I acted on it.
- 13:52There was a time in my life where I
- 13:53wanted to buy an Audi RS5. I never saw
- 13:56them out on the road, but once I started
- 13:57researching them every day and kept
- 13:58telling myself I'm going to get one, I'm
- 13:59going to get one, I started seeing them
- 14:01and noticing them out in society more.
- 14:02It's not that there was more Audi RS5s
- 14:05out there, it's that my subconscious
- 14:06mind was more aware of [music] it. So,
- 14:08once I saw one, I was more aware. My
- 14:10subconscious mind would bring the
- 14:12thought to my conscious mind so that I
- 14:14was aware of it. So, the concept of auto
- 14:16suggestion is extremely important. If
- 14:18you find that you are constantly
- 14:20doubting yourself, you genuinely don't
- 14:22believe in yourself, you speak
- 14:23negatively about yourself, whenever you
- 14:25try to do something new, you have a
- 14:26negative outlook on it, then you will
- 14:28cultivate that as an uh you your mind
- 14:30will literally make that into a reality.
- 14:32I promise you. What do you think is
- 14:34going to lead to a better result? The
- 14:35person who is constantly negative,
- 14:37speaking ill about themselves 24/7,
- 14:39always doubting things, or the person
- 14:41who is delusionally positive in
- 14:43everything? It's common sense. Clearly,
- 14:45that guy is going to do things not only
- 14:47more, but better. He's going to be more
- 14:49excited about doing things. His energy
- 14:51is going to be better and that will
- 14:52usually lead to a better outcome than
- 14:53the person who is always negative.
- 14:55[music] So, write down your goals and do
- 14:57affirmations. It sounds stupid, it's
- 14:59going to feel forced, but I promise you
- 15:01over time, your emotions and your mind
- 15:03will begin to believe actually what
- 15:05you're saying and you will start over
- 15:07time cultivating that delusion into a
- 15:10reality. Six, comparison is keeping you
- 15:12from your purpose. Comparison doesn't
- 15:14just steal your happiness, it distracts
- 15:15you from the path you were actually
- 15:17meant to pursue. Now more than ever,
- 15:19people are constantly comparing
- 15:20themselves because of social media and I
- 15:21get it, okay? you see people on social
- 15:23media with a better physique than you.
- 15:25These kids who are 18, 19 buying
- 15:26Lamborghinis and moving to Miami. And
- 15:28you see one guy is doing e-commerce, and
- 15:30this guy is doing day trading, this guy
- 15:31is doing real estate, this, this, and
- 15:33that. So, then you're all over the place
- 15:35not knowing what to do, right? You don't
- 15:37know what to do. So, therefore, you
- 15:39spend a a few months trying to learn how
- 15:40to trade, and you join someone's course
- 15:42for that. Next next one, you go to try
- 15:43to do real estate, and then you try to
- 15:44do social media, whatever it might be.
- 15:46Pick one lane and stick to it. People
- 15:49are going to become more successful than
- 15:51you. It's perfectly fine. If you
- 15:52constantly are comparing yourselves to
- 15:54others, it will manipulate what your own
- 15:57path was meant to be, and you will find
- 15:58that if you would have just spent your
- 16:00time that you had in one thing, you
- 16:02would have made it work. But because you
- 16:04kept putting attention and energy in all
- 16:05these different things that you saw
- 16:06working for other people, you will not
- 16:08be able to go as far. You know less than
- 16:10you think. Bottom line, the moment you
- 16:12believe you know everything is the
- 16:13moment you stop learning, growing, and
- 16:15improving. You know nothing. I still
- 16:17know nothing. I am constantly seeking
- 16:19advice for more things. This is why I
- 16:21read books. The five types of wealth
- 16:23here. I bought this today. I feel like I
- 16:24understand a lot of the Bible. I still
- 16:26got a book that is 30 days to
- 16:27understanding the Bible. I got the
- 16:28molecule of more. I'm always open to
- 16:31other points of view and other concepts.
- 16:33I started reading the Orthodox Bible as
- 16:34someone who never grew up reading
- 16:35anything that was Orthodox or Catholic.
- 16:37Always keeping my mind open to different
- 16:40points of view, different thought
- 16:42processes. I love looking at One of the
- 16:44videos and audiobooks that I listen to a
- 16:45lot are different philosophies of
- 16:47different people like Marcus Aurelius,
- 16:49stoicism, Iki uh Iki guy, like the
- 16:51Japanese. Like I listen to all these
- 16:52different philosophies cuz I'm curious
- 16:54to understand different schools of
- 16:56thought. I love listening to debates and
- 16:57all these things. Understand that you
- 16:59know nothing. Always be open to learning
- 17:01different points of view. If you're a
- 17:02science-based lifter, be willing to
- 17:04listen to someone who's a bro lifter.
- 17:05You can maybe learn something from him.
- 17:07The moment that we think we know
- 17:08everything, pride seeps [music] in, and
- 17:10it stops us from growing and becoming a
- 17:12more efficient, better, successful
- 17:13person. Point number eight, your
- 17:14reputation is creating opportunities
- 17:16behind your back. Your reputation enters
- 17:18rooms before you do, and you can create
- 17:19or destroy opportunities you may never
- 17:21even hear about. Now again, we are
- 17:23fallible human beings. We sin, we mess
- 17:25up, we create a bunch of chaos, okay?
- 17:27I'm not saying that you're going to
- 17:29always have a perfect reputation, but it
- 17:31is an important concept, okay? I've made
- 17:33plenty of mistakes being on social media
- 17:35where I have harmed my reputation in
- 17:37some capacity. You need to try and keep
- 17:39that as clean as you can. Like you I
- 17:41don't know how else to explain I mean I
- 17:42feel like this is a pretty obvious one.
- 17:45Like for people who are doing only fans
- 17:46now, right? Or doing casino gambling
- 17:49deals right now. You're going to have
- 17:51kids one day, okay? Think bigger than
- 17:53that. Your reputation is extremely
- 17:55important, and you have to make sure
- 17:56that you are even though we think so
- 17:58small in the present moment, we
- 17:59sometimes need to think bigger and think
- 18:01bigger than ourselves, and maybe that
- 18:03will give you the confidence to not make
- 18:05a decision that you feel like doing in
- 18:06the moment, okay? Like I don't know how
- 18:08else to explain that one, but try your
- 18:09best to keep somewhat of a good
- 18:11reputation. You're going to make
- 18:12mistakes, you're going to mess up, you
- 18:13might have times where you do something
- 18:15really bad. That's fine, that's normal,
- 18:16you're a fallible human being, but just
- 18:18try to become consciously aware to think
- 18:20bigger than yourself. You're going to
- 18:21have kids one day that look back on your
- 18:22life
- 18:23>> [music]
- 18:23>> and make sure that they're proud of
- 18:25their dad. You cannot build your life on
- 18:26motivation. Core line here, you cannot
- 18:28build your future around an emotion that
- 18:30changes every single morning. I hate the
- 18:32concept of motivation. I hate the
- 18:34concept of motivation. It is a fleeting
- 18:37emotion, okay? Discipline is a skill
- 18:40that you develop over time. If you're
- 18:42somebody who can only take action once
- 18:44they're motivated, you will not be
- 18:46successful. Get comfortable doing things
- 18:47that are uncomfortable. Like I just
- 18:49started getting into running, not
- 18:50because I want to, but because I always
- 18:52want to be challenging myself to do new
- 18:54things. I don't get I this morning I did
- 18:55I did a run. I did not feel like doing
- 18:57it. I didn't put on a something to get
- 18:59motivated. I just [ __ ] did it. I
- 19:00don't know how to explain it. I just did
- 19:01it. Discipline you gain that skill over
- 19:03time, and one thing that I think is
- 19:05helpful for this is I do a daily
- 19:06checklist. I have one right here for
- 19:08today. I write my daily checklist either
- 19:10at night before the next day or first
- 19:11thing in the morning. And I do not let
- 19:13my head hit a pillow to go to sleep
- 19:15until I check off every single thing. I
- 19:18don't care if I'm motivated or not
- 19:19motivated that day, I do it. And this is
- 19:21important where you have to think bigger
- 19:22than yourself. So, like for example, the
- 19:24people who just want money, that's not a
- 19:25big thing to keep keep you disciplined.
- 19:27I think deeper. I want to retire young
- 19:29so I can spend every living breathing
- 19:30moment with my family before they get
- 19:31old and die. That for me is motivation,
- 19:33whatever, to keep me disciplined. And
- 19:35over time you you get addicted to
- 19:37discipline. It's like when I first
- 19:38started going to the gym, want to go.
- 19:40That [ __ ] was ass. I didn't feel like
- 19:41going. But now it's just a part of my
- 19:43habit. I do so as of my as like a it's
- 19:45second nature. I just do it. I don't
- 19:47think about it. I just go and do it.
- 19:49It's a discipline. You can develop that
- 19:50skill for building your business, for
- 19:52building your health, for building your
- 19:53relationships, for building with God.
- 19:55I'm not going to lie, lately I have not
- 19:56been feeling spiritually super connected
- 19:58and close with God lately, but every
- 19:59single morning I still choose to read
- 20:01this 30 days to understanding the Bible
- 20:03book that I've been finishing and read
- 20:05my Bible. I do it out of discipline
- 20:06sometimes, okay? And one one cool thing
- 20:08about discipline is that you train it
- 20:10really good, you cannot always control
- 20:12the way that you feel. Your emotions are
- 20:14always constantly changing. But you're
- 20:15in control of what you do. If I don't
- 20:18feel like going to the gym, I can still
- 20:19get my two feet in the car and go to the
- 20:21gym and go through the motions. If I
- 20:22don't feel like reading the Bible, I can
- 20:23still open this Bible and start reading
- 20:26the Bible. I am in control. And over
- 20:27time your emotions follow what you
- 20:29choose to do. That's why sometimes our
- 20:31best workouts in the gym are the ones
- 20:33where we didn't even want to go to the
- 20:34gym. It was supposed to be a rest day.
- 20:35We weren't supposed to go. But we went
- 20:36anyways because we wanted to move the
- 20:37needle of our life and we ended up
- 20:39having the best workout ever and loving
- 20:41that we actually went. Your emotions
- 20:42follow what your actions are. Do not let
- 20:44motivation be the thing that
- 20:45distinguishes you from making action.
- 20:47Confidence comes from keeping promises
- 20:49to yourself. Confidence and self-respect
- 20:51are built every time you keep a promise
- 20:52that nobody else knew you made. This
- 20:54kind of plays off the last point. If you
- 20:55say that you're going to wake up early
- 20:57next morning, or if you say that you're
- 20:58going to go run, if you say that you're
- 20:59going to do this, do that, hold yourself
- 21:02to it. Stay true to your word. Again,
- 21:05confidence is built through evidence.
- 21:07You have to prove to yourself that you
- 21:09can do what you tell yourself you're
- 21:10going to do. Do not lie to yourself. If
- 21:12you tell yourself you're going to do
- 21:14something, follow through and do it.
- 21:15Because the more that you don't do it,
- 21:17that word will mean nothing and you will
- 21:19find it extremely hard to hold yourself
- 21:21to new things. So, I told myself last
- 21:23night, like yo, I should go run the next
- 21:25morning. I ate a lot of food today. I
- 21:26ran this morning even though I didn't
- 21:27feel like doing it because if I wouldn't
- 21:29have done it, then that promise I made
- 21:30to myself the night before would have
- 21:32been nothing. So, this plays into that
- 21:33discipline part. But basically, make
- 21:35sure that you keep your own promises to
- 21:36yourself. If you say you're going to
- 21:37leave that person, [ __ ] leave them.
- 21:39Don't go back to them. Sorry for
- 21:40cussing. I'm swear jar three times I
- 21:42think this video. I'm cooked. Stop
- 21:43chasing money and become valuable. This
- 21:45is the same analogy. Stop chasing the
- 21:47butterfly and build the garden the
- 21:49butterfly will come. When I started
- 21:51social media, I did not even know really
- 21:53that money was a thing. I just focused
- 21:54on becoming obsessed with building a
- 21:56community and putting out a bunch of
- 21:58content. It took me eight months I think
- 22:00before I started making my first bit of
- 22:01money from social media and I made three
- 22:03grand in a week. And then I dropped out
- 22:05of school. It was more money that I had
- 22:06saved up at the time. Because of short
- 22:07attention spans and just immediate
- 22:09gratification and dopamine, we just want
- 22:11to chase the thing that's like the most
- 22:12tangible. If you want to build actual
- 22:14genuine long-term wealth, you have to
- 22:16cultivate a skillset and an environment
- 22:18that can actually attract the
- 22:21opportunities and the money. That's why
- 22:22I'm saying you have to focus on building
- 22:23the garden. So, if you're young now,
- 22:25stop focusing on because you see other
- 22:26people doing it, hitting your first 10k
- 22:28month, whatever. Focus on becoming an
- 22:29absolute unit. Be physically healthy and
- 22:32well-off. Be emotionally and spiritually
- 22:34healthy and well-off. Become
- 22:35intellectually well-off. Become obsessed
- 22:38with becoming a sponge to learning
- 22:39everything and bettering yourself.
- 22:41Become an absolute unit of a man and
- 22:43opportunities will more so attract to
- 22:45that, okay? That's what I say by the
- 22:47preparation or luck. There's no such
- 22:49thing as luck. It's preparation meeting
- 22:51opportunity. All these things play into
- 22:53each other. So, become extremely
- 22:54valuable. Become a unit. Become skilled
- 22:57in all aspects of life and then the
- 22:58opportunities will come your way. I find
- 23:00that when you're chasing [music] money,
- 23:01it it goes away from you. It's hard to
- 23:04get it. 12, your routine is creating
- 23:06your future. Your future is built
- 23:07through these small actions you repeat
- 23:08every day and a checklist keeps those
- 23:10actions from becoming optional. Do the
- 23:12checklist. What I did when I started
- 23:13social media, when I was still in
- 23:14school, when I had this, I had a big ass
- 23:16whiteboard, cut it down the middle. The
- 23:17right side was my yearly goal. I wrote
- 23:19exactly what I wanted in the year,
- 23:21amount of followers, subscribers,
- 23:22sponsorships, money that I was making,
- 23:24all these things. I then made a daily
- 23:26checklist that in theory, if I did every
- 23:29single thing everyday, in theory, I
- 23:31would get closer to whatever my
- 23:33long-term goals were. So, my daily ones
- 23:35looked like going live, answering every
- 23:36comment, every DM, spending time with my
- 23:38community in the Discord, editing two
- 23:40videos and posting them, filming YouTube
- 23:42video, posting it, whatever it might be.
- 23:43And I did that every single day and I
- 23:46hit every single yearly goal the first
- 23:48time I did this. I have a video of me
- 23:50actually checking off my yearly goals
- 23:52after I did this for the first time.
- 23:53Create a routine and hold yourself to
- 23:55it, okay? Hold yourself to it no matter
- 23:58what. Make a checklist. Do not go to
- 24:00sleep until you check off every single
- 24:01box. And then once you [music] do it,
- 24:03make a new checklist for the next day.
- 24:06And hold yourself to that one as well.
- 24:0713, success requires seasons of
- 24:09sacrifice, core line. You can have
- 24:11almost anything you want, [music] but
- 24:13you cannot have everything at once. It
- 24:14takes time. It takes time and sacrifice
- 24:17to build a life that is worth living.
- 24:18Things do not happen immediately over
- 24:20time as much as you guys want to believe
- 24:21because you see some other kid who
- 24:23became hyper successful financially well
- 24:25after a young age, whatever. That's not
- 24:26real life. It takes time to cultivate
- 24:29and build a life that is awesome, okay?
- 24:32And it takes a lot of sacrifice to do
- 24:34so. Like I mentioned before in this
- 24:35thing, you're going to see in this whole
- 24:36all the lessons that I just went over, a
- 24:38lot of them require sacrifice. A lot of
- 24:40them require dying to your old self,
- 24:42cutting people off, putting yourself
- 24:44first in certain things, spending time
- 24:46instead of going out to the bars or
- 24:47playing video games, you're listening to
- 24:49podcasts and reading books. There's
- 24:50sacrifices that take place. And in order
- 24:52to become successful, you have to
- 24:53sacrifice. If you don't sacrifice for
- 24:55what you want, what you want becomes a
- 24:57sacrifice. If nothing changes, nothing
- 24:58changes. Those are my two favorite
- 25:00quotes that I hold fast to myself fully.
- 25:0114, lifestyle creep will keep you broke.
- 25:03Do not increase your lifestyle every
- 25:05time your income increases and sacrifice
- 25:06real wealth just to look successful
- 25:08today. This is applicable to so many
- 25:10young folk who's just starting to make a
- 25:11little bit of money. I see it so often,
- 25:13people start making a little bit of
- 25:14money, first thing they do, car, car,
- 25:17car. They immediately increase their
- 25:18expenses and their lifestyle in the same
- 25:20ratio that they're making money, so
- 25:21they're not actually building real
- 25:22wealth. They're just appearing more
- 25:24richer in the moment. It took me to hit
- 25:26a million dollars liquid, liquid in my
- 25:29bank account before I bought my first
- 25:30supercar and I bought it cash. It was a
- 25:32R8. When I hit a million, I spent 170
- 25:34grand on a R8. I just made a video on
- 25:36TikTok where I said, cuz I had a friend
- 25:37of mine, I had a friend of mine who just
- 25:38bought a Lamborghini. It was like a LP
- 25:40610 for like 220 grand or whatever. He
- 25:42only had like 60 grand to his name and
- 25:44he put like 40 grand down on the car.
- 25:46Stupidest thing you can do ever. Why
- 25:48would you do that? But it's what people
- 25:50do. People start making their first bit
- 25:51of money, they go and buy a M3 M4 comp,
- 25:53they move to Miami in a five a thousand
- 25:55dollar a month apartment. Next thing you
- 25:56know, they're profiting two to three K a
- 25:58month that they can actually put to
- 25:59build real wealth. Do not let lifestyle
- 26:01creep come into your life. Understand
- 26:03that the cost of something today is not
- 26:05its true cost. Think about the
- 26:06opportunity cost of that money could
- 26:08have made you. Think about it this way.
- 26:09Let's say you had 10 grand that you were
- 26:12going to go put on a down payment on a
- 26:13car. Let's say instead of putting that
- 26:15on a on a car, you're going to keep
- 26:16whatever car you already had and you're
- 26:18going to put that in in the market.
- 26:19Again, I'm not This is not financial
- 26:20advice, but let's say average returns on
- 26:22the S&P 500 historically roughly 10%.
- 26:25Let's say we're going to leave that
- 26:26money, that 10 grand in the market for
- 26:2720 years. Let's say it compounds
- 26:29annually at 10%. In 20 years, that 10
- 26:31grand become 67 grand. Let's go to my
- 26:34buddy who just put 40 grand on that car.
- 26:36He had 60 grand saved up. Let's say if
- 26:37he put that 40 grand into the market,
- 26:39this is not financial advice, okay? This
- 26:41is just like S&P 500 annually roughly
- 26:43historically 10% returns. Let's say he
- 26:45put that in the market, didn't touch it
- 26:46for 20 years. Didn't do anything else.
- 26:4810% compounding annually based on
- 26:50historical returns. In 20 years, that 40
- 26:52grand will be $269,000.
- 26:55So, the cost of that car isn't the 40
- 26:58grand down, the cost of that car is
- 27:00$269,000
- 27:03just as down payment alone. Okay? If we
- 27:05were to talk about the full value of the
- 27:07car, let's say he pays it off for the
- 27:08year. If he was to put 200 grand in the
- 27:09market over that same amount of time,
- 27:11that 200 grand would become $1.3
- 27:12million. Okay? So, that's the way that I
- 27:14view things now. I think about what
- 27:16could this money make me if I actually
- 27:17invested it into an asset that could
- 27:19compound over time. And that's why I'm
- 27:21really big on if I'm going to go buy
- 27:22something, I need to feel as if I could
- 27:24afford it twice two times over. If I
- 27:26feel comfortable even making that
- 27:27decision, I'm strict on budgeting and
- 27:29percentages so that I can make sure that
- 27:31I'm building long-term wealth so that I
- 27:32can retire at a younger age, to have
- 27:35freedom with my family and spend every
- 27:36living breathing moment with them. A lot
- 27:38of these things are connected. Please do
- 27:40not let lifestyle creep come into your
- 27:41life. I understand that we're young,
- 27:42we're you know, once we get some money,
- 27:44we want to go and immediately buy
- 27:45something cool. I'm not saying do not
- 27:46reward yourself, but make sure your
- 27:47ratios are in check, okay? So, if you
- 27:50want to go buy that nice car, do it, but
- 27:52make sure that you could buy that thing
- 27:53two, three times over and you'd still be
- 27:55okay. Then you can get it. You're still
- 27:57going to get a nicer lifestyle over
- 27:58time, but it's going to be one that you
- 28:00can actually afford a lot better. 15,
- 28:02failure is not what you think it is.
- 28:03Core line, failure is not your identity,
- 28:05it's feedback showing you what you must
- 28:06change before your next attempt. This is
- 28:08why I'm not a huge fan of the school
- 28:09system because school has ingrained in
- 28:11our brain and our identity to be afraid
- 28:13of failing. That's why the night before
- 28:14a test, we study [music] and stress
- 28:16ourselves out. Dude, I would cry
- 28:17sometimes sitting before a test the next
- 28:19day because I was stressing on my grade.
- 28:21Because in school, you can't make back
- 28:23your failure. Once you get that grade
- 28:24and that score on the test, there's no
- 28:25fixing your wrongdoings. That's not how
- 28:27the real world works. The real world
- 28:29works by having failure being the best
- 28:31teacher. The best teacher is failure.
- 28:32The best teacher isn't going to a
- 28:34business school to learn how to run a
- 28:36business from someone who's never even
- 28:37ran their own successful business.
- 28:38Learning the best business advice is
- 28:40going [music] to be trying it for
- 28:41yourself, [ __ ] up a [ __ ] ton of
- 28:43times, and learning how to not mess up
- 28:45the next time. Okay? The worst decision
- 28:47is indecision because if at least if you
- 28:49make a decision, whether it's the right
- 28:50or the wrong one, you either one made
- 28:52the right one and now you're better off
- 28:53or you made the wrong one and now you
- 28:55know to not make that one the next time.
- 28:56So, at least you're slightly closer than
- 28:58the goal is if you than if you just made
- 28:59no decision at all. Don't be afraid of
- 29:01failing. You're going to fail plenty of
- 29:03times and that is such a blessing cuz
- 29:05it's the best teacher and in the real
- 29:06world you can mess up endless amounts of
- 29:09time and that is going to give you
- 29:11experience that actually sticks. It's
- 29:12not going to be It's not going to be
- 29:13chemistry, photosynthesis, whatever, e =
- 29:16mc squared that I'm going to forget the
- 29:18next day after I take my test and it's
- 29:20done. Failure advice sticks. That [ __ ]
- 29:22sticks and you actually don't forget
- 29:24those times. So, you actually remember
- 29:26the learning experience that you got
- 29:27from it. I I'm incussing too much on
- 29:29this. I got to stop. I'm getting too
- 29:30amped up. 16, build yourself in every
- 29:32single area of life. True success does
- 29:34not just come from being financially
- 29:35well off. It becomes from something
- 29:37deeper. Becoming stronger physically,
- 29:39mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and
- 29:41financially. Not winning in one area
- 29:43while everything else is just
- 29:44collapsing. Okay? It's like people who
- 29:45become extremely financially well off
- 29:47but their health is terrible, they're
- 29:48overweight. Or the person who becomes
- 29:49extremely financially well off but his
- 29:50relationships suck. His whole family
- 29:52doesn't even see him because he's so
- 29:53obsessed with his business. Build
- 29:55yourself up in every area. Become
- 29:57healthy, physically fit, make sure that
- 29:59you're spiritually and mentally well
- 30:01off, spending time in that. Make sure
- 30:03that you're also becoming more smarter,
- 30:05intellectual, educated, working on your
- 30:06business, financially. All these things
- 30:09are core to actual genuine success and
- 30:11fulfillment. You have to do all of these
- 30:13things. Success isn't just financial. It
- 30:15is physical. It is relationship. There's
- 30:18so many more deeper layers to it. Last
- 30:19thing and the most important one, build
- 30:21your life on faith and humility.
- 30:24Core line, you can gain the whole world
- 30:25and still lose yourself if your success
- 30:27is not built on a deeper spiritual
- 30:29[music] foundation. Matthew 16:26 says,
- 30:32"For what will it profit a man if he
- 30:33gains the whole world and forfeits his
- 30:35soul?" You have to stay humble in any
- 30:37and all things. Realize that you are not
- 30:39the author of your life, the Lord your
- 30:41God is. Submit to him and and yield to
- 30:44his will. When I pray, the analogy is
- 30:46praise, repent, ask, and yield. The most
- 30:49important part is yielding. Yielding
- 30:51means to submit. That Lord, I present my
- 30:54asks and my requests to you. I love you,
- 30:56God. I pray that this is what happens
- 30:58for my life, but Lord, you are the
- 31:00author of my life. I am not. I submit
- 31:02and yield to your will. My response is
- 31:04yes. There's a There's this song
- 31:06Elevation Worship available, and I would
- 31:07listen to the song when I first started
- 31:09social media. There's a part of the song
- 31:10where it says, "Use me how you want to,
- 31:12God. Have your throne within my heart.
- 31:13My You You Use me how you want to, God.
- 31:15Have your throne within my heart. My
- 31:17response is yes. My response is yes."
- 31:19So, I present I have all these
- 31:21aspirations, dreams, and desires, but I
- 31:23place them at the foot of the cross, and
- 31:24I say, "Lord, I pray for this, but if
- 31:27you have a whole different route for me
- 31:28in my life, I yield. I submit. You are
- 31:31my God. I am not my own God." There is a
- 31:33core component of that concept and that
- 31:35mind my that mindset that brings
- 31:38humility and that makes it seem that
- 31:40where every successful thing here that
- 31:42you see, this house, everything, is of
- 31:44God. I yielded it's him. It is not me.
- 31:47He used me in some capacity to But all
- 31:50of it, I give credit and authority all
- 31:52under God. It is all him. It is not me.
- 31:54That mindset keeps you humble. Pride can
- 31:57be the downfall of many men. Do not let
- 31:59pride seep in. Do not have The opposite
- 32:01of pride is humility. Stay humble.
- 32:03Submit everything to God. Yield to him.
- 32:05You might be the most aspirational
- 32:07person ever. I don't care. You need to
- 32:09be okay with your life going completely
- 32:11different if God asks you it for to go
- 32:13to go different. I'm going to end with
- 32:14this. The analogy of Abraham and Isaac.
- 32:15I got to say the whole thing on this in
- 32:17my Lines and Nails channel. It took a
- 32:18long time for Abraham to get Isaac. It
- 32:20was like 100 years or something. He gets
- 32:21Isaac, and God now says, "Yo, Abraham,
- 32:25homie, you got to go and sacrifice your
- 32:27son, your only son, because I'm telling
- 32:29you to." Take someone a 3-day journey.
- 32:31Imagine the campfires, like where you're
- 32:33sitting with the son, watching him
- 32:34sleep, knowing that he has to go and
- 32:36sacrifice him. He gets up on the
- 32:37mountain to go and sacrifice him. He
- 32:39goes to do it. Last minute says, "No."
- 32:41God says, "No, I will provide." And he
- 32:43says, "Because you have not withheld
- 32:45your son from me whatever, I will make
- 32:46your descendants as numerous as the
- 32:47stars." Something like that. And God
- 32:48provides a ram caught in a thicket,
- 32:51which I think is Christ. Whole 'nother
- 32:52concept. Um because we are willing to
- 32:55give our only son for God, he gave his
- 32:56only son for us. The core concept is God
- 32:58wanted Abraham's yes. Abraham obviously
- 33:00did not want to sacrifice his son, but
- 33:02in faith he said, "Lord, you are my God.
- 33:04I submit and yield to you." And because
- 33:06he did that, God didn't make him do
- 33:08that. He still gave Abraham deeply
- 33:10probably what he desired. God just
- 33:12wanted his yes. You need to give your
- 33:13God your yes in everything. Second
- 33:15analogy, I'll keep it quick. Toys R Us,
- 33:17okay? You're a dad. You have two kids.
- 33:19One kid expects everything from you and
- 33:20he's just placing everything in the
- 33:21cart, throwing everything in the cart. I
- 33:23want this, this, this, this, and this.
- 33:25The other kid says, "Dad, you know what?
- 33:27I already have everything I need. Dad,
- 33:28you can just give me if you want to get
- 33:30me something you can, but I'm perfectly
- 33:31fine, you know. You can get my brother
- 33:33here whatever he wants to get." What is
- 33:34going to move your heart more? My heart
- 33:36is going to be moved by my son who
- 33:37chooses to not expect everything and
- 33:39give it and throw it in the cart.
- 33:40Whereas the other one, I will not feel
- 33:42good about buying him and giving him all
- 33:43those things cuz he's expecting it. The
- 33:45one son that's yielding and submitting
- 33:47to me, I would want to bless. So, to
- 33:49move the heart of God, there is a
- 33:51submission and a yielding responding to
- 33:53him with you are my God, my response is
- 33:55yes. And that cultivates a life worth
- 33:58living. That's where I'll leave it at.
- 34:00Hope you guys enjoyed it. Not my typical
- 34:01video, but I randomly thought about it
- 34:03and I was like, "Hey, because I'm in a
- 34:05positive mindset, instead of shooting
- 34:06this idea down and getting second
- 34:07guessing it, I'm going to go and execute
- 34:09it and do it." Which is exactly what I
- 34:10told you guys to do. So, hope you guys
- 34:12enjoyed it. If you did, leave a like,
- 34:13comment, and sub. Let me know if you
