- 0:00are operating from the same identity.
- 0:02You can make all the goals in the world
- 0:04that you want. But if you are operating
- 0:06within the same identity that has given
- 0:08you your current reality, then you are
- 0:11going to get the same results. And only
- 0:13a crazy person does the same things over
- 0:14and over again expecting to achieve
- 0:17different results. You do not need more
- 0:19motivation. You do not need to lower the
- 0:21bar to more realistic goals. You don't
- 0:24need to make new goals because let's be
- 0:27honest, you've probably made a vision
- 0:28board. You've probably written down your
- 0:30goals and probably even created a very
- 0:32strategic strategy on how you're going
- 0:35to achieve every goals. And you probably
- 0:36know every single step of what you're
- 0:38supposed to be doing. You may have
- 0:40planned your weeks, planned your years.
- 0:42You may have pinned an aesthetic and
- 0:44mapped out exactly how you're going to
- 0:46get your dream body, your dream career,
- 0:48or your dream lifestyle. The problem
- 0:50probably lies when you try to go and
- 0:53take a step towards those goals. You
- 0:55probably self- sabotage. And the reason
- 0:58for that is your identity. This time
- 1:01you're going to do something different.
- 1:03You are going to change your identity
- 1:05before you take any action towards any
- 1:08of your goals. And you are going to do
- 1:10some identity work. Creating a new
- 1:12identity is going to create the person
- 1:15that has everything that you want.
- 1:18Before you take action, before you do
- 1:19step one of your well strategized plan,
- 1:23you are going to do identity work. The
- 1:25new identity that you're creating is
- 1:27that of your higher self. And she has
- 1:30everything that you want. The person
- 1:32that you constantly envision yourself as
- 1:34like a Pinterest girl has the body you
- 1:36want, has the aesthetic that you want is
- 1:39the person that you're going to embody
- 1:41with this identity work. Grab a notebook
- 1:44or a pen, something to write this down
- 1:47with, and we are going to get into
- 1:50identity work 101. Okay? Grab your
- 1:53journal, grab a pen or pencil, something
- 1:55to write this down with, and we're going
- 1:57to get into our identity work 101.
- 2:00Identity is the internal blueprint of
- 2:03who you believe you are, not just your
- 2:06name or your job or your goals. It's the
- 2:10subconscious story that runs your entire
- 2:14life. It is the beliefs, the habits, the
- 2:17emotional memories that tell your brain,
- 2:19"This is me." You act, speak, and
- 2:22therefore manifest based off of this
- 2:24story, this blueprint, this identity.
- 2:27You believe that you're so unlucky that
- 2:29bad things always happen to you, that
- 2:31you're lazy. Then no matter how many new
- 2:33goals you write, until you switch that
- 2:36identity, you're going to keep getting
- 2:38more of that because you do not get what
- 2:40you want, you get what you are. And so
- 2:43if you want different, you have to think
- 2:45different, be different to do different.
- 2:48What you are is based off of who you
- 2:51believe you are. Every time New Year's
- 2:54comes around, uh, birthday comes around,
- 2:56something that gives off that is
- 2:58supposed to be a fresh start and you
- 2:59write down all of these goals. You
- 3:01curate this beautiful Pinterest board
- 3:03and vision boards, mind movies, and you
- 3:06want to move towards that. That might
- 3:08sound really exciting and you may be
- 3:10motivated for a short span of time. You
- 3:12might be operating like your higher
- 3:14self, but it runs out because of the
- 3:17lack of identity work and identity shift
- 3:19to become the person that would have all
- 3:22of those things. And so, here is step
- 3:24number one in your identity work. Write
- 3:28this down. The first thing that you are
- 3:30going to do is define a new identity.
- 3:34Look at your vision boards. Look at your
- 3:36list of goals. Look at your Pinterest
- 3:38boards and think and envision. Close
- 3:41your eyes and envision you performing at
- 3:43your highest potential. And write down
- 3:47all of the things that you envision her
- 3:49as. She's so consistent. She's so
- 3:52confident. How does she think of herself
- 3:54when she opens her front camera on her
- 3:56phone? Does she like what she sees? She
- 3:58loves herself. She's like feeling
- 4:00herself in her whole body. How does she
- 4:02think when she looks in the mirror with
- 4:04no makeup, with no outfit, just her raw
- 4:07in front of the mirror? How does she
- 4:09perceive herself? If she perceives
- 4:11herself with confidence, pretty,
- 4:13beautiful, she loves her body and all
- 4:15the profiles that she has, she loves her
- 4:17hair, she loves her skin, she feels
- 4:20successful, she feels so proud of
- 4:22herself. Those are the things that you
- 4:24need to write down. I'm so proud of
- 4:26myself. I'm confident. I radiate
- 4:29confidence. I'm smart. I'm intellectual.
- 4:32Are key things that you want to start
- 4:34integrating into your identity. a
- 4:38detailed and get as detailed as you can
- 4:40get as describing you as your higher
- 4:43self. Don't think of her as somebody
- 4:44that exists outside of you. Think of her
- 4:46just you elevated being consistent. How
- 4:50would you describe that identity? What
- 4:53are her habits? What are her values? And
- 4:55what are her non-negotiables?
- 4:57Then the next thing that you're going to
- 4:59do is identify and name your old or
- 5:03current identity. Give your current or
- 5:06your past self a name. I like to call my
- 5:09old self my familiar self. The version
- 5:12of me that it was existing out of old
- 5:15beliefs, limiting beliefs, thinking of
- 5:17things of my childhood, thinking of the
- 5:19ways that other people perceive me. That
- 5:22was familiar Jasmine. Okay, I am now my
- 5:25higher self is what I call myself now. I
- 5:28am Jasmine. I'm not familiar Jasmine.
- 5:31You can call her your comfort zone
- 5:32version of you, the wounded version of
- 5:34you, the comfortable you. What identity,
- 5:37thoughts, habits belong to her? Is she
- 5:41the one that's identifying as lazy as a
- 5:44homebody? Even though she wants to be
- 5:45outgoing, she identifies as a homebody.
- 5:48Does she identify as inconsistent? She's
- 5:52just so inconsistent or somebody that
- 5:54has a really big sweet tooth. So, every
- 5:56time she goes to eat sweets, her body's
- 5:57like, "Yeah, this belongs to our
- 5:58identity. say let's go and have it and
- 6:00eat it even though it's not part of her
- 6:02diet. This part of yourself and make
- 6:04sure to give this version of her a name
- 6:07because you are trying to separate from
- 6:10this identity and you're trying to align
- 6:13with your higher identity. You operating
- 6:17in your highest version of yourself.
- 6:19Naming her and all of the things that
- 6:21belong to her allows you to start making
- 6:23choices of what your higher self would
- 6:26do and what your current or past
- 6:28familiar self does. And one of the most
- 6:31important things you can do that I think
- 6:33is one of the most important things that
- 6:36reshape your life, reshape your identity
- 6:39is say affirmations. Don't just say
- 6:42them, write them down. Why are
- 6:44affirmations so important when it comes
- 6:48to claiming a new identity? Usually,
- 6:52your identity is formed from all of the
- 6:54things that everyone else has claimed
- 6:55you are around you, from stories that
- 6:57you've had build up over time, from
- 6:59limiting beliefs. And so, when you say
- 7:03the words I am, you are literally
- 7:06directly speaking to you. Okay? that is
- 7:10going to your subconscious mind. Forming
- 7:13a new identity really does start with
- 7:15the way that you speak to yourself. Most
- 7:18of your talk to yourself is negative
- 7:20talk, negative self-t talk, then you are
- 7:23going to get negative outcomes in your
- 7:25life because you are affirming those
- 7:27things to yourself that you're unworthy,
- 7:29that you're not confident, that you're
- 7:30shy, that you're lazy, that you're not a
- 7:32morning person, so you sleep in. Those
- 7:34are all things that you tell yourself.
- 7:36Start affirming the identity that you
- 7:38want to embody and have. Affirmations
- 7:41personally for me changed my life.
- 7:44Affirm things. Your body all throughout
- 7:47the day when you're making decisions on
- 7:48what you want to do, your body scans for
- 7:51a green light. And so, let's look at
- 7:54this example. If I claim to be
- 7:57inconsistent, I'm not consistent. I I
- 7:59say that to myself. I affirm that to
- 8:01myself. I'm always proving that to
- 8:03myself in my life when I don't show up
- 8:04to the gym, when I don't eat healthy,
- 8:06when I don't wake up early, when I don't
- 8:07do all the things that I said I was
- 8:09going to do. That's inconsistent, right?
- 8:11Say I get out of the shower and it's
- 8:14time to do my skinincare, but I'm really
- 8:16tired and I just genuinely don't feel
- 8:18like it. Right? My body's scanning for a
- 8:20green light. And the green light says we
- 8:22are inconsistent.
- 8:24my body is scanning for the proof that I
- 8:27am inconsistent and it will turn green
- 8:29for inconsistency and it will say, "Oh,
- 8:31she identifies as inconsistent. So,
- 8:33let's push these thoughts out that say
- 8:34just save it for tomorrow." And so, then
- 8:36I go to myself, I'll just do it
- 8:38tomorrow. I'll just start my skincare
- 8:40tomorrow. It won't make that big of a
- 8:42difference. It's not that big a deal. If
- 8:44I claim and affirm to myself that I am
- 8:47consistent, my body is going to scan for
- 8:49that green light and it's going to go,
- 8:51well, according to her, she constantly
- 8:53identifies as consistent. And so, let's
- 8:55push thoughts out to make sure that she
- 8:57actually does do the skincare. And then
- 8:59I'll start thinking to myself, wow, I
- 9:01should do this skinincare because it's
- 9:03only going to take like two minutes
- 9:04anyways and my skin looks really good
- 9:06and I want to keep it good and I just do
- 9:08this every day, so I might as well just
- 9:10get it out the way so that I can feel at
- 9:11peace going to sleep. Done. your body is
- 9:14doing and scanning for these checks all
- 9:16day long. Your body is constantly
- 9:18scanning for evidence of who you are. So
- 9:22affirm the person that you want to be so
- 9:25that when you affirm I'm healthy and you
- 9:28want to eat something healthy, then it
- 9:30scans and is looking for that green
- 9:31light that's like does she identify as
- 9:33healthy? Like is that us? Is that our
- 9:34identity? Is that like who we are? And
- 9:36it's going to be like yes, she is. She
- 9:39is healthy. Let's push those thoughts
- 9:40out that make her think, "Yes, I should
- 9:42order like a nice protein dense meal to
- 9:46fit in my macros, etc." Make sure you
- 9:49keep telling yourself affirmations. The
- 9:51more affirmations of the things that you
- 9:53want are more green lights, and when you
- 9:55go to do the thing, you will feel less
- 9:58resistance. There will be moments where
- 9:59you actually do convince and override
- 10:02that red light that it gives you instead
- 10:04that tells you to skip the skincare. And
- 10:07you might do it, but you will do it
- 10:09feeling so much resistance. You don't
- 10:12want resistance. You want to do it and
- 10:14actually feel good doing it like how you
- 10:17feel when you have a green light.
- 10:19Constantly embedding green lights in
- 10:22your brain that just make it feel like
- 10:24such a good thing to keep going through.
- 10:26So start affirming what exactly it is
- 10:29that you want to embody. If you want to
- 10:31be outgoing and you want to make
- 10:32friends, you would start affirming I'm
- 10:34outgoing. you would let go of the
- 10:36identity of being a homebody or being,
- 10:40you know, shy or reserved because you're
- 10:43trying to put yourself out there. You're
- 10:44trying to make friends, find your
- 10:46community, baby. Or maybe you want to do
- 10:47the opposite. You're tired of constantly
- 10:50being outside. You feel like that
- 10:51doesn't benefit you anyway or whatever
- 10:53it is. You want to start affirming to be
- 10:55a homebody. You want to start enjoying
- 10:57your rent more and your apartment more.
- 10:59So, whatever it is that you envision
- 11:01your higher self being is what you want
- 11:03to write down and affirm and say with
- 11:06confidence. The next thing that you're
- 11:07going to do as a part of your identity
- 11:09work is visualize yourself as your
- 11:12higher self already. You've been
- 11:14existing in the identity that you have
- 11:16right now for a very long time. And so
- 11:19even though you're affirming things and
- 11:20it's very helpful to starting to move
- 11:23closer to the embodiment and alignment
- 11:25to your higher self to mentally rehearse
- 11:28exactly how she acts, exactly how she
- 11:30thinks, exactly how you envision
- 11:32yourself to be. What is very helpful
- 11:34with this is mind movies or doing
- 11:38meditation, sitting down and visualizing
- 11:40and selecting the emotions that you
- 11:42would feel if you already had the
- 11:44reality that you desire. Mental
- 11:46rehearsal is such an amazing way and
- 11:48helped me so much to embodying my higher
- 11:51self. Just imagining how I would feel
- 11:54like swiping my card at a store, buying
- 11:57something expensive and practicing and
- 11:58rehearsing that feeling made when it
- 12:01actually happened in real life feel so
- 12:03much more natural. I didn't feel like I
- 12:05was having an outof body experience
- 12:07where I'm like, who is this right now?
- 12:09Like spending all this money confidently
- 12:11or who is this girl who when she goes to
- 12:14her Pilates class, she sits in the very
- 12:17front row on the reformer in the very
- 12:20middle feeling herself. I don't feel
- 12:22unnatural. I've rehearsed that mentally
- 12:25being confident and then I showed up as
- 12:27that in my real life because that is my
- 12:29new identity that I practiced. Next, you
- 12:33are going to select to do micro actions.
- 12:37I know a lot of people get this rush of
- 12:39motivation and they want to change
- 12:41everything overnight. And this is like
- 12:44how to not become your higher self 101.
- 12:47Do not want to go from A to Z. Start to
- 12:50move towards your higher self and change
- 12:53your identity in small little habits.
- 12:57small steps is literally like slow and
- 12:59steady wins the race type of thing. Or
- 13:02the book, if you've never read the book
- 13:04Atomic Habits, that is such a good book
- 13:06to read when trying to do identity work.
- 13:10I will link that book in my description
- 13:12for you. And also, I'll just link a lot
- 13:14of books that I like that are really
- 13:16helpful to identity work and shadow work
- 13:18and such. Don't try to change everything
- 13:22overnight, okay? Because you are going
- 13:23through a bridging moment, okay? You've
- 13:25named your current or past self, that
- 13:28identity, that familiar self, that
- 13:29comfortable you, and you're going
- 13:31towards your higher self, your elevated
- 13:33self, your higher ascended self. And so,
- 13:36you want to do this by doing small steps
- 13:40because if you try to thrust yourself
- 13:42into your higher self and you're just
- 13:43like, "Ew, I'm so iced by like my past
- 13:46self. Like, I don't want to be anything
- 13:47like her." Your body is going to be too
- 13:50shocked, too confused, and then it's
- 13:52going to try to really keep you
- 13:54familiar, and it's going to feel unsafe
- 13:57leaping towards that. Your nervous
- 13:58system will not feel safe, and it will
- 14:00completely suppress you down and try to
- 14:03push all the buttons to make you crave
- 14:04being your familiar self even more.
- 14:07You'll crave sleeping in more. You'll
- 14:08you'll crave skipping the gym more,
- 14:10skipping your skincare more. And so, you
- 14:12want to move towards your higher self in
- 14:14small little habits. lightly close that
- 14:17gap and kind of walk slowly towards your
- 14:20higher self. Also, it's just more in
- 14:22your feminine energy to flow with energy
- 14:26and move energetically towards what you
- 14:27want than to just kind of like try to
- 14:30rush and run there. You know, that's
- 14:32very forced energy and you want to kind
- 14:34of just naturally ascend. Start with the
- 14:37way that you think, then you can start
- 14:39with the actual actionable plans. Then
- 14:42you can start with the way you dress.
- 14:44Then you can start with the way you act.
- 14:46Next thing that you're going to do is
- 14:48curate an environment that nourishes
- 14:51that new identity. Create supportive
- 14:54surroundings that you're constantly
- 14:56being reminded of what you're trying to
- 14:57ascend to and not what you already are.
- 15:00Pinterest boards, your aesthetic boards,
- 15:02vision boards, journaling. I highly
- 15:05recommend you journal and document this
- 15:07process and start to kind of set the
- 15:09vibe and tone slowly. also going to
- 15:12start auditing your language and the way
- 15:15that you speak to yourself. Remove
- 15:17phrases like, "I always mess up. I'm so
- 15:20unlucky." Things like this are always
- 15:21happening to me. That's part of an old
- 15:24identity and an old story that does not
- 15:26align with your higher self. Your higher
- 15:27self, your new identities, like I always
- 15:29get lucky. I always win. Every time I
- 15:32buy a scratch off, no matter what, I
- 15:33always win something. I'm always getting
- 15:36blessed with like free things or like
- 15:38the person in front of me always pays
- 15:40for me somehow. Like that's always
- 15:42happened to me. I always find a parking
- 15:45spot. This is something in one of my
- 15:46oldest like affirmations that when I
- 15:49would drive into like a busy city,
- 15:51especially living in LA, having lived in
- 15:53Miami, I used to go to New York all the
- 15:55time, living in Pennsylvania. I always
- 15:57used to be like it doesn't matter where
- 15:59we're going or if we're running behind
- 16:01time because I always find parking and I
- 16:04always find parking because I'm lucky
- 16:07and that is that is how I identify. Next
- 16:10is something that is very important and
- 16:13that is documenting this process.
- 16:15Documenting your habits. These are my
- 16:17journals aka my second brain and I call
- 16:21it my second brain because look at the
- 16:22amount of journals this is. All these
- 16:25journals filled. These pages are filled
- 16:28front and back with a lot of my
- 16:31thoughts, with affirmations, with
- 16:33identity work, with shadow work.
- 16:35Documenting this process is very
- 16:36important because when you leave all of
- 16:38your thoughts in your brain, they will
- 16:40get mixed in with the other 70,000
- 16:43thoughts you think a day. And so, it's
- 16:45going to lose its hierarchy and your
- 16:48higher self will just get blurred in
- 16:50with everything else that you have going
- 16:51on in your life. When you take those
- 16:53thoughts out of your brain and you put
- 16:54them into order on paper, specifically
- 16:58paper, like not just your notes app,
- 16:59even though I rather you use your notes
- 17:01app than nothing, but write and document
- 17:03your affirmations, your identity shifts.
- 17:06If you literally realize, oh my god,
- 17:08today I woke up and I actually woke up
- 17:10and I felt good doing my skincare and
- 17:12everything. Journal it, document it,
- 17:14write it down. It's almost like very
- 17:16satisfying to the brain and it feels
- 17:18like I forget the word but it feels very
- 17:21satisfying like you checked something
- 17:22off a list when you wrote it down and
- 17:25you want to keep getting more and more
- 17:27and more of that. Next is a really big
- 17:29one and it is letting go of the need for
- 17:32evidence. This is probably one of the
- 17:34biggest things that you can do. You
- 17:36don't need a six-pack of abs to identify
- 17:39as a gym girl. You need to just go to
- 17:41the gym. You don't even need to go to
- 17:43the gym. You could just start
- 17:44identifying as that. And because that's
- 17:46how you identify, your mind is going to
- 17:47look for proof that you are that and
- 17:48you're going to end up there somehow.
- 17:50Want to be a business owner? Start
- 17:52calling yourself an entrepreneur now.
- 17:55Not when you have the money and the
- 17:57income. No. You are the entrepreneur the
- 17:59second you decided to start thinking
- 18:01about a business. You don't need to have
- 18:04gotten up and ran and seen the sunset
- 18:05every day to consider yourself a morning
- 18:07person. Start calling yourself a morning
- 18:09person already. The physical proof will
- 18:12come afterwards. Don't rely on the
- 18:15external evidence to start claiming the
- 18:17identity. Remember that the outer world
- 18:20bends to you first, to your inner world
- 18:23first. And so when your inner world
- 18:25changes, it may take a second for the
- 18:27exterior to reflect that. But it is
- 18:29going to reflect that. Next thing you're
- 18:31going to do is celebrate your aligned
- 18:33small wins in your notebooks and just to
- 18:37yourself. Like feel proud of yourself. I
- 18:40literally did it. I act in alignment
- 18:42with my higher self, with my new
- 18:45identity. This is huge. This is so good
- 18:47for me. Pat yourself on the back. Give
- 18:50yourself the pats that you deserve.
- 18:52Another part of your identity work is
- 18:53going to be emotional regulation. Okay?
- 18:56PFT tapping, breath work, and meditation
- 18:59all help you during this transition to
- 19:02your higher self because your body is
- 19:03going to feel weird and unfamiliar and
- 19:06it will try to, like I mentioned before,
- 19:08drag you down to that familiarity. So,
- 19:10you are going to use those tools and
- 19:13implement them while you're on your
- 19:15journey so that your body continuously
- 19:16feels safe doing these new things that
- 19:19are part of this new identity. Huge part
- 19:21of identity work is surrounding yourself
- 19:24around the energy that you want to
- 19:26embody. This can mean getting rid of old
- 19:28friends that constantly reaffirm an
- 19:30identity that you don't want to have. If
- 19:32you go out with people a lot that drink
- 19:34a lot, you don't even like drinking
- 19:35anymore, you don't like alcohol, you
- 19:37want to be a mocktail girly, or you want
- 19:39friends that are more in the wellness
- 19:40space, but you're constantly being
- 19:41dragged out to bars or in clubs and
- 19:44spaces that just don't align with that
- 19:45identity anymore, then you're going to
- 19:47want to do a shift in your friend group
- 19:49or maybe just distance yourself from
- 19:51those other friends or family or whoever
- 19:53it is for a while. Even mean deleting
- 19:56your social media. This was a great one
- 19:58for me that I did when I was going
- 20:00through an identity shift because seeing
- 20:02old friends, people from high school,
- 20:04and everybody that you know in a
- 20:06different way that perceives you in a
- 20:07certain way kind of makes you want to
- 20:09continue to perform in a way that makes
- 20:11you familiar to them. Seeing people that
- 20:14you used to work with, it constantly
- 20:16just brings up old memories that
- 20:18triggers more and more of the same
- 20:20identity. So remove a lot of those
- 20:23triggers that constantly trigger you and
- 20:25pull you back into identities that you
- 20:27don't align with anymore. Surround
- 20:29yourself with that aligned energy, the
- 20:32energy that you want to embody. Start to
- 20:34sign up for classes on your own. Do it
- 20:36by yourself if you want to do Pilates or
- 20:39yoga or wellness things or whatever it
- 20:41is that you're into. And the last part
- 20:43of your identity work is going to be
- 20:46ritualizing this experience. You do not
- 20:49have to beat yourself up. And a huge
- 20:51part of this is having a lot of grace
- 20:54and love for yourself. Do not speak
- 20:56badly about your current identity or
- 20:58your familiar identity or your bad
- 21:00habits. Those had to happen for you to
- 21:02be who you are now. And your higher
- 21:05self, your new identity literally grows
- 21:07out of this person that exists now. She
- 21:10your higher self doesn't exist without
- 21:12you now. So have gratitude and love for
- 21:15yourself and for this experience and for
- 21:18this identity shift process. Identity is
- 21:21a literal practice. It is not a
- 21:23performance. This is somebody that
- 21:25you're shedding. You are shedding layers
- 21:27of yourself. And this is so huge for you
- 21:30and part of your spiritual journey and
- 21:33part of your soul journey and evolution.
- 21:36And so being nasty, being mean to
- 21:38yourself, talking negative about
- 21:40yourself, like, "Ew, I can't believe I
- 21:41used to do such and such." It's okay
- 21:43that you used to do whatever it is that
- 21:45you don't want to do anymore. You're
- 21:47just growing and evolving towards your
- 21:49higher path. And that is an amazing
- 21:51thing that you should feel so much
- 21:53self-love for. Do not ever speak
- 21:55negatively about yourself or your past
- 21:57self because your subconscious mind
- 21:59hears that anyways. Those are not
- 22:00thoughts that you want to bring into
- 22:01your new identity. This is a daily
- 22:04commitment and not a one-time
- 22:06transformation one and done. That is
- 22:09your identity work 101. I hope you wrote
- 22:13some of this down. I hope you gained
- 22:15some value from this video and I just
- 22:17wish for you to continue to align with
- 22:20your higher self. It is literally one of
- 22:21the most soulful things you can do in
- 22:23your lifetime. And that's all I have for
- 22:26this video. Are going to become your
- 22:28higher self. I know it. I can feel it.
- 22:30and I'm affirming it for you. Now, I
- 22:33have a how to become your higher self
- 22:35series that I will leave linked for you
- 22:37if you want more videos like this. And
- 22:39that's all I have for today's video.
- 22:41Thank you so much for watching. Bye.
