- 0:25from the Ethiopian Bible and um as I
- 0:28said before in other videos I'm doing it
- 0:30as much for myself do you what I mean um
- 0:33if anyone engages with it and enjoying
- 0:35it that's all the bonus um but it is a
- 0:37process of keeping myself to account and
- 0:40putting myself into the habit of reading
- 0:42um the chapter a day in the Bible more
- 0:45which I used to more and then it kind of
- 0:47falls off of life being too busy um so

- 4:09777 years and he dies and Noah is the
- 4:13son of 500 years and Noah beget Shem ham
- 4:18and japeth here Enders this reading give
- 4:21thanks yet a br for cure so yeah not an
- 4:25easy passage to read lots of lineage and
- 4:28genealogy um um and there's some big
- 4:31numbers in there do you know what I mean
- 4:33some people living to some old old age
- 4:36more than we're used to
- 4:37today um I don't have a particular
- 4:40comment on this section I guess it
- 4:42relates back to um Genesis chapter 1 and
- 4:46the reasoning there in relation to
- 4:49literal interpretation of the Bible or
- 4:52metaphorical you know did people live
- 4:54for that long in those times maybe they
- 4:57did do you know what I mean I I don't
- 4:58know I don't have much um to go on in
- 5:02relation to that um but yeah maybe they
- 5:05did they may have lived I'm sure they
- 5:07did live healthier Lifestyles and you
- 5:10know it was very obviously goes without
- 5:13saying different time back then so maybe
- 5:15that's the ages they reach to or maybe
- 5:17there's a different way of
- 5:19calculating um you know years you know
- 5:22the Bible uses terms like three schools
- 5:24and 10 for example um to don't know I
- 5:28think it's 70 isn't it three three
- 5:30school years and 10 I always forget
- 5:31whether it's 70 or 80 um but so whether
- 5:35it's literal or not I don't get too
- 5:38wrapped up or concerned in that I'm more
- 5:41always interested in what is it trying
- 5:43to tell us what's the message you know
- 5:45what what's trying to be kind of
- 5:47communicated really and I guess the line
- 5:49the the real message here it's about the
- 5:53the genealogy it's about the inheritance
- 5:56it's about God's kingdom and AD and Eve
- 6:00as I said whether you believe that they
- 6:02literally were the first people on earth
- 6:04or whether they were the first people in
- 6:05God's world on Earth and they were other
- 6:07people's you know doing different things
- 6:11and the importance of this chapter is to
- 6:13say there is this connection between
- 6:15Adam and then our next kind of you know
- 6:19the hero narrative is going to be Noah
- 6:22and that's what it feels it's leading up
- 6:23to is is the Noah story so it's
- 6:26basically setting the scene that when we
- 6:29get to knowah story that he is a
- 6:31descendant of Adam and he's a direct you
- 6:34know beneficiary of God kingdom on Earth
- 6:37that's what that's what I personally
- 6:39more interested in with this passage
- 6:41rather than getting too fixated on how
- 6:44long did people live and is that literal
- 6:47or not really so that's me that's how I
- 6:50read and interpret the Bible and
- 6:52everyone has a different kind of
- 6:54approach really so give thanks for
- 6:56listening um blessed love and
- 7:00as I say I'm really enjoying this
- 7:01process I'm really glad I started so God
- 7:04willing I just hope I can see this th
- 7:08thick book through to the end one day at
- 7:12a time all right then blessed love have
- 7:14a blessed day and yet a bre for see you
- 7:17soon one
