Full transcript
- 0:00And by the way, I'm super pissed when
- 0:01all the youngsters try to call you
- 0:03[laughter] because you're still plenty
- 0:04young. Mike, you're very young.
- 0:07Mike,
- 0:08>> you're very young and all these
- 0:1020-year-old Gary. Gary, he is 41,
- 0:12>> bro. He's a Gary, Gary, he has no family
- 0:15or wife.
- 0:16>> Yeah, I I understand people come in here
- 0:17and try to criticize him. He's a [ __ ]
- 0:19player.
- 0:20>> Hell yeah, Gary.
- 0:20>> He's a Yeah, Gary. [laughter]
- 0:22Finally, somebody on my
- 0:25[music]
- 0:33Mike, when did you get in?
- 0:35>> Midnight last night. You know how it
- 0:37goes. GV,
- 0:38>> you've been good.
- 0:39>> Fantastic, bro. Fantastic.
- 0:41>> You look good, man.
- 0:42>> Moving into the restaurant industry, the
- 0:43worst space in the world.
- 0:45>> Yeah, but you know this at scale. It's
- 0:47not.
- 0:47>> I know.
- 0:48>> It is for It's for It's for bad players.
- 0:50>> Like it's a win or take all kind of
- 0:52thing. You know what I mean? Like you
- 0:53got to be a real player.
- 0:54>> Yeah.
- 0:54>> But
- 0:55>> good for you, man. I think
- 0:57>> How's the burger thing going?
- 0:58>> It's going I mean that's what I'm
- 0:59talking about. It's going good. It's
- 1:00just Well, yeah. It's just working with
- 1:01the making sure you're working with the
- 1:02right operators in the food space and
- 1:06like
- 1:06>> are you going to franchise that? Are you
- 1:08going to own
- 1:08>> Right now it's all uh we're talking
- 1:09about 1010 burger for anybody watching.
- 1:11Uh right now it's all going to be
- 1:12company owned, but we just have a really
- 1:14strong operating partner that's going to
- 1:16that's going to handle a lot of the
- 1:18operating and hiring and location
- 1:21identification, so on and so forth.
- 1:22>> Got it. Got it. Got it. I just I I
- 1:23that's kind of the way to do it. If you
- 1:25find like and Logan could attest to this
- 1:27too and GV you can too. You got to find
- 1:29like the right partners and just be and
- 1:32just be if you can just be the face bro
- 1:34that just markets and somebody else is
- 1:36the machine behind it and you can trust
- 1:38that with your soul, your life, your
- 1:40soul, your heart, then you could
- 1:42succeed, you know?
- 1:43>> Yeah. I mean I think you know it's more
- 1:46about figuring out what the [ __ ] you're
- 1:47actually good at, right? Like some
- 1:48people are operators, some people are
- 1:50marketers. Like some people are so
- 1:52talented they can do both.
- 1:54>> It's f Yeah, that's you. [laughter]
- 1:55That's you.
- 1:56>> That is you.
- 1:56>> You got And you got to watch out for
- 1:58some of these operators that then when
- 2:00they uh they have a little success with
- 2:01you as a partner, they decide they also
- 2:03want to be a face.
- 2:04>> Sure. That's become such a big reality
- 2:07in today's world, right? Everyone's now
- 2:09in play. You know, 20 years ago, there
- 2:11were a small group of celebrities and a
- 2:13number of operators. Now everybody has
- 2:16no friction to actually be a face.
- 2:18>> Yeah.
- 2:19>> You're one podcast away, you know,
- 2:21you're one,
- 2:21>> you know, vlog or streaming session away
- 2:23from like feeling it. And to your point,
- 2:25some people get so intoxicated with the
- 2:28attention it they lose their way. I've
- 2:30watched a lot of, you know, so many
- 2:31operators started building their, you
- 2:33know, their own personal brands because
- 2:35of my content. And I've watched some of
- 2:37them get short-term success from it, but
- 2:39then completely lose their way because
- 2:40they think they're [ __ ] Beyonce now
- 2:42when they're running a [ __ ] pizza
- 2:44shop, you know? And so, like, yeah,
- 2:46people get high in their supply,
- 2:47>> especially in those first 15 minutes of
- 2:49it, like when you have that big first
- 2:50viral pop, but they don't realize how
- 2:53few people make it from 15 minutes to 3
- 2:55hours in the space. And and now with the
- 2:59way that the social media algorithms
- 3:00work, which were, you know, Vine was
- 3:02really the first time it kind of started
- 3:04that way. You were really one piece of
- 3:06content away from everything changing.
- 3:08>> You know, now people think, you know, a
- 3:10single viral post means their Logan when
- 3:14in reality, you know, to your point,
- 3:15>> you got to do that every day. you know,
- 3:17getting it to your 30 minutes of fame,
- 3:19let alone your 15, let alone to your
- 3:21three years of fame, is like an
- 3:22incredibly high
- 3:25challenging framework, especially even
- 3:28just emotionally. Forget about if you're
- 3:29even good enough to know what the [ __ ]
- 3:31to do on camera and all that. When you
- 3:33start dealing with that level of
- 3:34judgment, the amount of emotional
- 3:36strength you need to maintain, you know,
- 3:40being out there with all the scrutiny,
- 3:42you know, there's just so many people
- 3:44that are not mentally prepared for the
- 3:46heat and that [ __ ] them up. Let alone
- 3:49the fact that the platforms continue to
- 3:50change. You know, back to Logan as the
- 3:53prompt, there were a lot of people in
- 3:55that group of the Vine 100,
- 3:57>> the first wave,
- 3:58>> you know, that weren't able to
- 3:59transition to the next phase,
- 4:01>> long form,
- 4:02>> you know, branding podcast, you know,
- 4:03there's just there's, [laughter] you
- 4:04know, and again, I think what Logan
- 4:06represents and I see in others is
- 4:09>> a lot of people are just talent
- 4:11>> whereas other people are talent and have
- 4:13an entrepreneurial lens. And then
- 4:15there's even a rarer crew of talent
- 4:18entrepreneurial lens and then also
- 4:20operator
- 4:21>> or plus athlete which is another
- 4:23universal language as I travel the world
- 4:25that I find like it's just so globally
- 4:29spoken is like oh you you're partners
- 4:31with the fighter fight they go like this
- 4:33they can't even maybe they can't even
- 4:34speak English wrestler Logan WWE right
- 4:37like fighting is almost like mathematics
- 4:39>> it's also yes
- 4:41>> it's just globally spoken
- 4:42>> it's Roman Empire stuff it's most basic
- 4:44thing like all of us can feel the
- 4:46fighting thing. But I also think the
- 4:48thing that
- 4:50Logan and Jake have done well between
- 4:52YouTube and then if you look carefully,
- 4:53you look at Netflix, right? Netflix is
- 4:56global. Like when Raw is live, there are
- 4:59people watching it all over the world
- 5:01live, right? And I think that people
- 5:04underestimate the sheer amount of
- 5:06attention that these platforms have. And
- 5:09so when you're not limiting yourself in
- 5:11distribution,
- 5:13the places where he shows up are all
- 5:16three places are completely utterly
- 5:17global. It's YouTube, it's podcasting,
- 5:20and then Netflix Live, whether it's a
- 5:23fight that Jake's doing, or whether
- 5:24they're doing RAW. This is a level of
- 5:27distribution that people underestimate.
- 5:30>> I think Jake just figured out a little
- 5:31hack in his merger with the PFL.
- 5:34>> Yeah. MVP MMA just merged with PFL to
- 5:37create this new fight league to try to
- 5:39rival the UFC. And their model of
- 5:42distribution has been on free platforms.
- 5:46I say free because you got a
- 5:46subscription, right? But assuming you
- 5:48have a subscription, which you probably
- 5:49do, it's it's Netflix. What you going to
- 5:50watch?
- 5:50>> And we're in that era, right? The
- 5:51streaming services are doing that now,
- 5:53right? Obviously UFC did the huge deal
- 5:54with Paramount, right? The sports are
- 5:56now on that. like what cable did to
- 5:58network television, what network
- 6:00television did to the radio, streaming
- 6:02is now doing to cable. I don't I'm I'm
- 6:05fascinated by people's inability to
- 6:07understand that the world will always
- 6:08turn and there'll be new games. All that
- 6:11Netflix and Hulu and Paramount are doing
- 6:13is exactly what ESPN did to ABC and NBC.
- 6:17Dude, I love the clips that you find
- 6:19from 15, 20 years ago of like a young
- 6:22Gary Vee [laughter]
- 6:23sitting at a table screaming at the live
- 6:26stream watching your like people aren't
- 6:28going to read magazines anymore. Who
- 6:30reads a magazine here doing polls?
- 6:32>> You're wearing the tie still.
- 6:33>> No tie. Go look at the clips. You button
- 6:36down. The button downs. I was button
- 6:38down.
- 6:38>> Dude, it it's so good. You you do have
- 6:40this ability to predict predict the
- 6:41future and now it's interesting because
- 6:43you've seen enough cycles,
- 6:45>> correct? where history does repeat
- 6:47itself. It just looks different in that
- 6:49way.
- 6:49>> The thing that I do well and people that
- 6:51I admire do well is they're is they're
- 6:53willing to talk about [ __ ] even if it's
- 6:56at the detriment of their short-term
- 6:58money.
- 6:59>> I think one of the things that I rather
- 7:00have that clip than make more money.
- 7:03>> And I think you guys now know this,
- 7:05you're in a point of your career where
- 7:06you're spending a lot of time with a lot
- 7:08of a players financially status. What I
- 7:11think you guys will see as you continue
- 7:13to roll. And by the way, I'm super
- 7:15pissed when all the youngsters try to
- 7:16call you [laughter] because you're still
- 7:18plenty young. You're very young on the
- 7:20bike. Mike,
- 7:22>> you're very young. And all these [ __ ]
- 7:2420-year-old Gary. Gary, he is 41,
- 7:27>> bro. He's a [ __ ] baby.
- 7:28>> Gary, Gary, he has no family or wife.
- 7:30>> Yeah, I I understand people come in here
- 7:31and try to criticize him. He's a [ __ ]
- 7:33player.
- 7:34>> Hell yeah, Gary.
- 7:35>> He's a [ __ ] player.
- 7:35>> [ __ ] yeah, Gary. [laughter]
- 7:37Finally, somebody on my
- 7:38>> like like Sorry. Like sometimes jigalows
- 7:40come around like he's a [ __ ] player.
- 7:42Like like I like you know like you know
- 7:45like like this is who he is. Like I
- 7:46understand some people want to get
- 7:47married at 25 and settle down and have
- 7:49like this man still has a couple of
- 7:51turns around the sun.
- 7:52>> Yeah.
- 7:53>> What do you want from him?
- 7:53>> A key word a couple. Hey dude, as to
- 7:56your point a lot of them and some of
- 7:57these people they settle down cuz they
- 7:59have to. Bro, I just don't got to do it.
- 8:00>> And he weaponized like detachment
- 8:02theory. [clears throat] Whatever the
- 8:02[ __ ] he throws out. It's not true. He's
- 8:04he's enjoying himself.
- 8:06>> He isn't this guy. the man's enjoying
- 8:09himself and like, "Oh, by the way, I
- 8:10laugh when dudes say shit." I'm like,
- 8:12"Right, you don't understand that he
- 8:14enjoys dating 25year-old smoke
- 8:17[laughter]
- 8:18shows." Like, what's the matter with
- 8:19you? No [ __ ] He enjoys it. Like, and
- 8:21and by the way, he's allowed
- 8:24>> and and this is actually an important
- 8:25conversation to level it up.
- 8:28>> This obsession
- 8:30>> with people trying to deploy on each
- 8:32other how they should live their [ __ ]
- 8:34life. Like, why don't we all just
- 8:36[ __ ] mind our own [ __ ] business
- 8:38and live our own lives? If you if you
- 8:40have if you have flowers to give, which
- 8:42is something I love doing, then [ __ ]
- 8:44give them. But if you got pot shots or
- 8:47your own insecurities are showing up
- 8:49with you digging on someone who you're
- 8:51actually envious of, I promise you,
- 8:53you've accomplished nothing. But Gary,
- 8:55that's hard for people. That's so hard,
- 8:56especially with social media, cuz all
- 8:59you're doing is seeing other people's
- 9:00lives and not just their lives, the
- 9:02highlight reels of their lives.
- 9:03Comparison is the thief of joy. People
- 9:05don't have joy, so they go to comparison
- 9:08to try to denigrate you or tear you down
- 9:10because it makes them feel better about
- 9:11themselves.
- 9:11>> Yes. And I understand. And so my point
- 9:13and what I'm hoping to put out there
- 9:15hoping just one [ __ ] person listening
- 9:17decides this is the time they stop being
- 9:19a [ __ ] is I I don't want them to do
- 9:22that because them [ __ ] on you or
- 9:24your brother or Mike or someone else is
- 9:27going to do zero for them to get out of
- 9:31the place they're in.
- 9:32>> Yeah. zero. In fact, it will only dig it
- 9:35in deeper.
- 9:37>> On top of that, I always thought that I
- 9:38had done a very good job since I got
- 9:40here in making sure I illustrated what
- 9:43my life looked like prior to all of this
- 9:45so that people understood the journey
- 9:48and understood like, okay, he was once
- 9:50exactly where I was. He was homeless. He
- 9:52was way worse. Way worse. Way worse. I
- 9:54was addicted to heroin. I was living on
- 9:55the degenerate. I wrote [laughter] I put
- 9:58that whole story out which hurt and
- 10:00didn't feel great at first to help the
- 10:02people that are then saying like
- 10:04>> most of Mike and I was watching it from
- 10:06far. We haven't really really chopped up
- 10:07the way I get to chop with him. Not only
- 10:09were you doing that, it was also helping
- 10:10you
- 10:11>> 100%.
- 10:11>> You know like for you know when I was
- 10:13watching you go through that I was like
- 10:14good for him because no one was going to
- 10:15weaponize anything on you. It's life is
- 10:19just the last scene of 8 Mile.
- 10:21>> Yeah. Like [laughter] if you're in a
- 10:22battle rap and you go first, [ __ ] on
- 10:25yourself first because it leaves the
- 10:26opponent nothing.
- 10:27>> Speechless. Takes all the smoke out of
- 10:29them.
- 10:29>> And like there's so many people we know
- 10:31that are not living their full joy or
- 10:33their full like offense on life cuz
- 10:36there's a skeleton or two in their
- 10:37closet that they know every day they get
- 10:40bigger, there's a chance today the day
- 10:42that someone's going to open that
- 10:43closet. I think people have to deploy
- 10:46more humility and more accountability.
- 10:49The what's amazing about all the people
- 10:51that we're looking at right now behind
- 10:52the camera and more importantly the
- 10:54millions that are going to watch us over
- 10:55the next decade is they all deep down
- 10:58know they've also [ __ ] up too. And
- 11:00humanity is very good at tearing people
- 11:02down.
- 11:03>> But in reality they're always ready to
- 11:06let you say you're sorry and make amends
- 11:09because deep down they know they've got
- 11:10flaws too. And I I wish people
- 11:13understood that more so they could
- 11:14become more accountable of their
- 11:15shortcomings
- 11:17which would then free them up to [ __ ]
- 11:19shine.
- 11:20>> The thing that you have and Logan was
- 11:22poetic, Gary. No, that was incredible.
- 11:24And you asking like wishing people had
- 11:26more and Logan asking why this isn't
- 11:28going to happen. Everything that you're
- 11:29delivering right now from that couch is
- 11:31delivered from someone who has lived
- 11:33life and has gained the wisdom of
- 11:34someone that's over the age of a certain
- 11:35age. You have to go through the [ __ ]
- 11:38>> I will say this. Lou, come here. I know
- 11:39this is weird. Come here, Lou. Get over
- 11:41here. Old Lou. Old Lou. Let's clap it up
- 11:43for old Lou.
- 11:44>> We call him old Lou.
- 11:46>> We call him old Lou. Not cuz he's old
- 11:48cuz we we uh
- 11:50>> We work We hang with his son. We call
- 11:52him Little Lou. So this is old Lou. Big
- 11:55suffice.
- 11:55>> We We do call Well, most people call him
- 11:57Big Lou. I like call me old Lou.
- 11:59>> Lou,
- 11:59>> you and I worked in the liquor business
- 12:01when I was stocking shelves. We met when
- 12:03I was what, 22 years old.
- 12:05>> 22 23. Yeah.
- 12:06>> Right. I just want Mike to hear this.
- 12:10Please explain to them what version of
- 12:12you're one of the few people that
- 12:13actually knew me because so few people
- 12:15actually knew me because I lived in a
- 12:17liquor store. I was Do you know Did you
- 12:19ever see Goonies?
- 12:20>> Of course.
- 12:20>> Yo yo yo yo yo yo. That guy right there.
- 12:23Stand up, Beamer. Stand up, Beamer. He
- 12:25owns the Goonies house.
- 12:26>> I'm very aware. I'm very aware of this
- 12:28story. He Bro, he talks I've talked to
- 12:31him and we've talked about this.
- 12:32>> I love telling people it's him, bro.
- 12:34He's the guy who owns the Goonies House.
- 12:35>> Sick, dude. [laughter] I as back back to
- 12:38hey you guys I was basically sloth from
- 12:4214 to 34. My dad basically had me
- 12:44chained in the basement
- 12:46>> of a liquor store for 20 years
- 12:48>> and I built a huge business for my
- 12:50father. This man watched me work 100
- 12:53hours a week 52 weeks a year. I'm not
- 12:58going to lead the witness.
- 12:59>> Couple hours a night breaking cards.
- 13:00>> Yeah. Once at a blue moon. The trading
- 13:02cards thing was always there. Lou,
- 13:04explain to them how old I was at 22.
- 13:08>> Jesus, man. This guy at 22 years old was
- 13:1145 years old.
- 13:12>> Damn.
- 13:13>> Um, the one of the most amazing
- 13:15operators I ever seen, one of the things
- 13:17that impressed me the most about Gary
- 13:18when he was 22. I mean, you guys see him
- 13:21today the way he is, right? When he was
- 13:2322, I watched how he treated his
- 13:25employees. You know, he treated his
- 13:27employees like, you know, back you
- 13:29thinking, you're talking 2000, 1999.
- 13:31People treated employees like [ __ ]
- 13:33>> Yeah. By the way, it wasn't this woke
- 13:35[ __ ] when we're supposed to be nice. We
- 13:36were like [ __ ] like people were dick
- 13:38face, right? Like you remember employees
- 13:40were like the [ __ ] help. Like you
- 13:41[ __ ] on them.
- 13:43>> I was a I was a dishwasher at TJ McKiffs
- 13:45in Milford. I
- 13:46>> This guy treated his employees like I I
- 13:48never seen like you know you all worked
- 13:50at companies where scared of your
- 13:51bosses. This guy treated everybody like
- 13:54family. wanted to know everything about
- 13:56him, wanted to know how they ticked, you
- 13:58know, and um I was just so impressed
- 14:00with him even early on, you know, like
- 14:02he says, I know him from the beginning,
- 14:03right? And I tell him every day, he's
- 14:04getting better and better every single
- 14:06day. But that what you hear today was
- 14:08there back then, too, when 22 years old.
- 14:10>> All right. Get out of here, Lou.
- 14:11>> Get out of here, Lou. We love you, Lou.
- 14:13Thank you, bro. [applause]
- 14:15>> Yeah. Yeah. Good job.
- 14:16>> Best part. Here's the best part, and I
- 14:18want everyone to hear this.
- 14:18>> Hey, you know, Ridge, they make amazing
- 14:20power banks, wallets, luggage, and
- 14:22premium everyday gear. All amazing
- 14:24looking and functional. Look at this
- 14:25thing. Mike has it. Ridge is back with
- 14:27their legendary sweep stakes for the
- 14:30sixth year. And this time it's bigger
- 14:31than ever. You're not going to believe
- 14:33what you can win. And Tony Hawk is the
- 14:36official spokesperson this year. So, you
- 14:37already know this one is going to be
- 14:39insane. Two lucky winners will get to
- 14:41choose between a Lamborghini Huracan
- 14:44Sterato, a Ford Hennessy Velociraptor,
- 14:48a souped-up Ford Bronco, or $100,000 in
- 14:51cash. That's actually insane. Uh me
- 14:54personally, I would probably pick the I
- 14:56have to say the Huracan or the
- 14:57Velociraptor, but this Lammo is the
- 14:59world's first off-road supercar. There's
- 15:01only 1500 of them in the world. The
- 15:02Hennessy Velociraptor is basically an
- 15:04American muscle car put into an
- 15:05all-terrain truck, and the customuilt
- 15:07Bronco is coated in scratch resistant
- 15:09Kevlar armor and riding high on massive
- 15:1337in off-road tires. The best part, you

- 15:54>> I didn't bring Luke for that for that
- 15:56validation. This is a cosign to my
- 15:58mother. I was that person at 22 because
- 16:01I have the most remarkable,
- 16:05disproportionately most phenomenal
- 16:08mother that has ever walked the [ __ ]
- 16:10face of the earth. That woman lost her
- 16:12mother at five, grew up in the [ __ ]
- 16:14Soviet Union. You have no [ __ ] clue
- 16:18how [ __ ] up the Soviet Union was.
- 16:20Everyone went to jail. The government
- 16:21owned everything. Everybody died at 50
- 16:24because everyone, you know, that we talk
- 16:25about Russians drinking vodka. They
- 16:27wanted to [ __ ] die.
- 16:29>> Yeah.
- 16:29>> Wow.
- 16:30>> They wanted to [ __ ] die.
- 16:32>> The whole country was a jail. Russ,
- 16:34where I was born, me, let alone my mom,
- 16:38is the only place on earth today that is
- 16:40similar is North Korea. You're not
- 16:42allowed to leave. The whole country is a
- 16:44jail. She lost her mother at five, grew
- 16:46up in a [ __ ] jail with a [ __ ]
- 16:48society, and yet the level of love she
- 16:52put in me, but not only that, the way
- 16:54she championed the way I treated people.
- 16:57The reason he knew that I'm not special,
- 17:00my mother's special, right? And so what
- 17:04you know is Gary Vee and you really know
- 17:06me behind the scenes in a way that most
- 17:07don't. You guys see the content. I
- 17:09understand the cynicism. People make
- 17:11jokes about me saying everyone's young
- 17:12and all that [ __ ] but who I am behind
- 17:15the camera is a better version than even
- 17:17who I am on camera. I really believe
- 17:19that.
- 17:19>> And more importantly, that is all based
- 17:22on a world-class mother. So all the Gary
- 17:24Vee content, all of it. It's just me
- 17:27trying to do a little something that's a
- 17:29version of what my mom did for me
- 17:31because I know all these [ __ ] kids
- 17:32that are listening right now, they get
- 17:34so much dog [ __ ] in the feed, so much
- 17:37[ __ ] the amount of content. Yo,
- 17:40homies that are watching right now, open
- 17:41up your [ __ ] social media. Go through
- 17:42the thing. Go through your [ __ ] feed
- 17:44for five minutes. I promise you 90% of
- 17:47the [ __ ] content is someone telling
- 17:49you who to blame for your [ __ ] up
- 17:52[ __ ] Go open up your [ __ ] phone
- 17:54right now. It's someone telling you, and
- 17:56if they're on the left or the right,
- 17:58they're the same [ __ ] Whether
- 18:00they're fully blue or fully [ __ ] red,
- 18:02they're the same [ __ ] pieces of [ __ ]
- 18:05to tell you that you should blame
- 18:07everything on someone else. The
- 18:09government, billionaires, immigrants,
- 18:11all dumb [ __ ] It's
- 18:12>> Fouchy this week.
- 18:13>> That's right. Like as if [ __ ] Fouchy
- 18:16has anything to do with your [ __ ]
- 18:17life. [laughter]
- 18:19And so,
- 18:19>> especially right now, especially 2026.
- 18:22>> So, with all this love, let me give you
- 18:23the realest love cuz it feels like
- 18:25[ __ ] poison.
- 18:27If your life sucks, it's 100% your
- 18:30fault.
- 18:31>> It's not your mom's fault. It's not your
- 18:33dad's fault. It's not America's fault.
- 18:36It's not [ __ ] Fouch's [ __ ] fault.
- 18:38It's your fault that you're believing
- 18:40it. And like for me, it's like I just
- 18:42want to give as much love because if you
- 18:44get love, then you get strong enough to
- 18:47stop pointing fingers. Then you go like
- 18:49this. And once you go like this, you
- 18:52have a [ __ ] chance. And my mom taught
- 18:54me that. And that's why I was that at
- 18:5622. And there's a lot of 22 year olds I
- 18:58meet that have [clears throat] wisdom,
- 19:00luck of the draw, DNA, luck of the draw
- 19:02of growing up with little hard work. At
- 19:0414 years old, I was working 12 hours
- 19:06[ __ ] Saturday at a liquor store.
- 19:08That's [ __ ]
- 19:09>> My dad should be in [ __ ] jail.
- 19:11>> Like, you know, like like it was like
- 19:13and so like, you know, I I just think
- 19:15that it's going through life whether
- 19:17you're 22 or 50 or 19. But a lot of
- 19:20people are overcodled. We have great
- 19:23luxuries. People spend all their time,
- 19:26to your point, worrying about what they
- 19:27don't have versus what they do have. You
- 19:30know, I sit on the board of pedestals of
- 19:32promise and charity water. There are 800
- 19:35million people, 800 million people right
- 19:37now, as we're doing this podcast, that
- 19:39do not have access to clean water. Me
- 19:41and Nick Dio, that beautiful man right
- 19:43now, we went to Ghana building [ __ ]
- 19:45schools for kids that if we didn't build
- 19:47those schools, they would sit under a
- 19:49[ __ ] tree with an old man from the
- 19:51village reading a book from 40 years
- 19:53ago. the same book every week.
- 19:55>> Like anybody watching or listening to
- 19:57this podcast is [ __ ] privileged,
- 19:59dick.
- 20:00>> Yeah.
- 20:01>> Yeah. [laughter]
- 20:01Hell yeah.
- 20:03>> Like like if you have time to listen to
- 20:05this dumb [ __ ]
- 20:06>> you should [laughter] not be complaining
- 20:08about for once it's not dumb [ __ ] No,
- 20:11this is this is actually good [ __ ] But
- 20:12you know it is it [clears throat] is
- 20:14funny the uh the idea of like putting
- 20:16putting your world into perspective I
- 20:19think can be such a a powerful thing if
- 20:21you can if you can understand like yeah
- 20:23we live a really blessed life and
- 20:24comfortable life. I don't I don't think
- 20:26people were able to take hot showers
- 20:28until like maybe like 70 years ago. And
- 20:30by the way, for the people that are
- 20:31winning or accomplishing, saying that
- 20:34you're blessed or like you have a good
- 20:36doesn't undermine, you know, what you've
- 20:39done or put it again
- 20:40>> like I just, you know, I don't this is
- 20:42how my brain works. I want to talk about
- 20:43this. Brother, you [ __ ] [ __ ] worked.
- 20:47>> Bro, from the day I met you when you
- 20:48came to New York for the first time to
- 20:50this moment, you [ __ ] worked.
- 20:52>> Yeah, I've been working,
- 20:52>> bro. You [ __ ] worked. Like these
- 20:54people that weaponize luck.
- 20:57Like I feel so horrible for people that
- 20:59weaponize the word luck. If you're
- 21:02weaponizing luck, you are you are very
- 21:04confused how the game is actually
- 21:05played.
- 21:05>> Like like oh he got lucky.
- 21:06>> Yeah. Yeah. Like physically like people
- 21:08are, you know, you are more conducive to
- 21:10be an athlete than others. I get like
- 21:12there's things that are serendipity and
- 21:13there's things. But bro, I have watched
- 21:15you for 15 [ __ ] years work and adjust
- 21:18and change. Two steps forward, one back,
- 21:21seven forward. You [ __ ] work, bro.
- 21:24When you started doing the wrestling
- 21:25thing, I grew up massive wrestling.
- 21:27Macho Man Randy Savage is my favorite
- 21:28person that's ever lived the face of the
- 21:31earth. Like literally, like
- 21:35when you started that, I was like, "This
- 21:38is a wrap. He's going to crush." Cuz I
- 21:40knew you could do the mic because that's
- 21:42what you do.
- 21:43>> But I was like, "No, this kid's just
- 21:44going to [ __ ] spend 9 trillion hours
- 21:46until he can [ __ ] do, you know, frog
- 21:48jumps from the top rope backwards." And
- 21:50like I just knew it.
- 21:51>> So funny. you you came on our podcast
- 21:53shortly after my Wrestlemania debut and
- 21:55we spoke about it and now you know
- 21:57[ __ ] five years later it's my full
- 21:59job. One of my favorite things, you
- 22:00know, one of my favorite things just to
- 22:02keep this full press glaze fest I'm
- 22:04giving you. [laughter] One of my fa one
- 22:06of my favorite things ever was because I
- 22:09love the wrestling fan community so much
- 22:11because they're like the they're like
- 22:12the people downstairs like all niche
- 22:14audiences, comic guys, wrestling guys,
- 22:16sports guys, anything new was like,
- 22:18"Fuck that bitch." Right? And when you
- 22:20came in, they're like, "Fuck this
- 22:22influencer." Right? And I'm like, "This
- 22:24guy's going to win these [ __ ] over."
- 22:26And I remember you pulled some move
- 22:28early on. It was
- 22:29>> it was the ricochet in the middle of
- 22:30that meeting.
- 22:31>> And I was just like I [ __ ] the second
- 22:34I saw it, I went right to Twitter and I
- 22:36watched all these [ __ ] people that
- 22:38[ __ ] hate you. They're like, man,
- 22:40he's all right.
- 22:42And I was like, you know what? Yeah.
- 22:43Like, but like Yeah, man. You're just
- 22:45[ __ ] happy. Let me let me pivot this.
- 22:48I appreciate that all the kind.
- 22:49>> Hey, you want to intro Gary Vee, by the
- 22:50way?
- 22:50>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This is Gary
- 22:52Vee. Today's guy's one of the most
- 22:53influential entrepreneurs in the world.
- 22:54He's built multiple successful
- 22:55businesses, transformed the marketing
- 22:57industry, and has inspired millions with
- 22:58his nobullshit advice on business,
- 23:00branding, and life. GIVE IT UP FOR GARY
- 23:02B.
- 23:04[applause]
- 23:08>> Let me let me pivot the glaze into a
- 23:10question because it's happening with me
- 23:12now, which is weird because I [ __ ]
- 23:15love Pokemon. I've loved Pokemon my
- 23:17entire It's It was It was my first or
- 23:18second real love. It was like that in
- 23:20Harry Potter. I don't know which one. I
- 23:21don't remember which one came first. The
- 23:22first girl you loved.
- 23:24>> I mean,
- 23:24>> give her give her flowers. Give her
- 23:26>> No, I was an adult. We saw
- 23:28>> the first girl I loved was my wife.
- 23:29>> No, no, but I understand. But
- 23:30>> shout out, baby.
- 23:31>> Yeah. Yeah, but you didn't have a crush
- 23:33in not like love. Okay, not love. Like,
- 23:36let's get let's make some random girl in
- 23:38Ohio's life. Like, just say something.
- 23:40>> What's her name again?
- 23:40>> No, I can't do it. I'm married,
- 23:42>> bro. [ __ ] ridiculous,
- 23:44>> dude. What's the high school girl name
- 23:46first girl I fell in love with?
- 23:47>> The 987 girls you've loved in the last
- 23:49week. [laughter]
- 23:51Um um okay. So I I I'm in this I'm in
- 23:55this position now where I'm doing this
- 23:56Pokemon content. All of a sudden this
- 23:58year,
- 23:59>> not when I started doing Pokemon content
- 24:015 years ago.
- 24:02>> This year I'm getting the larer comment
- 24:04like like basically he's he's pretending
- 24:05to do this thing. And it's interesting
- 24:07cuz when I started on YouTube as a
- 24:09Viner, I was just laring YouTube. I was
- 24:11laring. I was I was get out of here
- 24:14Viner. Oh damn. Like okay, Daily
- 24:16Vlogger, you're a YouTuber. When I
- 24:17started with wrestling, it was the
- 24:20outsider. You're not allowed in until
- 24:21like, oh, he really cares. We let him
- 24:23in. And it's interesting because it
- 24:25happens in collecting and not just the
- 24:27Pokemon sphere, but
- 24:28>> uh sports, Pokemon, Magic, the guy. It's
- 24:31like there is a bit of gatekeeping that
- 24:33takes place. And it's interesting cuz
- 24:36>> why why why do I feel like I'm in a
- 24:39position where I have to prove myself?
- 24:40And also, how can I prove myself? And I
- 24:43I've realized that like it's nothing I
- 24:45do or say will ever affect the way these
- 24:47people think about me in in something
- 24:49they love in their community.
- 24:50>> It's when it's I always called it the
- 24:52band rule. Like this made make sense for
- 24:55some of the music fans. I saw it a lot
- 24:58when Pearl Jam and Nirvana got massive
- 25:00and and the internet was just coming
- 25:02around. Prodigy like there was bulletin
- 25:04boards and I watched like these people
- 25:07that literally watched Nirvana and Pearl
- 25:09Jam in [ __ ] bars in Seattle. 50
- 25:11people each when they became the biggest
- 25:14bands in the world start to [ __ ] on
- 25:15them. It's because the world got their
- 25:17thing.
- 25:18>> Yeah.
- 25:19>> Right. And when [clears throat] people
- 25:20are passionate about [ __ ] they don't
- 25:21want it to be [ __ ] with. They think
- 25:23it's theirs. I think it's a good thing,
- 25:25Logan.
- 25:25>> You do.
- 25:26>> And I'll tell you why. Basic. But by the
- 25:28way, I at this point in my life,
- 25:30anything I enter also, it will always
- 25:32happen. I've been We've been doing comic
- 25:34books for V friends for like a year and
- 25:35a half now. I'm like pet I'm scared of
- 25:38nothing except going to a comic
- 25:40convention because I know that crowd
- 25:42like I don't I don't I don't think
- 25:43anybody even knows we're doing comic
- 25:45>> you're you're very much the new guy
- 25:47>> always
- 25:48>> in in a in a legacy industry
- 25:50>> correct and and I'm a [ __ ] maniac.
- 25:53I'm like, I'm Stan Lee, [ __ ] Like,
- 25:55that's what I think. Like, I think I'm
- 25:57going to do it. And so, like, you can
- 25:59imagine they don't like it to begin
- 26:00with, and then I'm coming out like guns
- 26:02[ __ ] blade. Like, I'd be a great
- 26:04heel. You know what I mean? Like, you
- 26:06like like And so, like, I
- 26:09>> But I but I I
- 26:12definitely
- 26:13am empathetic. Like, because I do it
- 26:16with my love. You should see how I act
- 26:18when someone says they're a Jets fan.
- 26:21>> Oh, yeah. Name three players. You know
- 26:22what I mean?
- 26:23>> Name three players from 97. Like more
- 26:27like if you can't tell me what college
- 26:29Jason Fabini went to, [laughter] what
- 26:31number he wore, and like how many false
- 26:33starts he had his rookie year, like I
- 26:36will [ __ ] on you. So like,
- 26:37>> okay, I get it. That is, by the way,
- 26:39still my favorite thing about you is
- 26:40that you have you have been you are the
- 26:43most have to be the most famous Jets
- 26:45fan.
- 26:45>> I got to give Fireman Ed love cuz I cuz
- 26:47he's the OG. But like I am definitely
- 26:50out and about on my fandom. Like if the
- 26:52Jets obviously the Knicks just won a
- 26:54title which is unbelievable and and just
- 26:56the greatest and I was part of that but
- 26:58like when I tell you the delta for me
- 27:00between Jets and Knicks is substantial
- 27:03if the Jets win a Super Bowl.
- 27:04>> No, dude.
- 27:05>> No, Gary.
- 27:06>> I'm moving to North Korea and living
- 27:07there full time. [laughter]
- 27:09>> [ __ ] it. Like I got to do something
- 27:10outrageous.
- 27:11>> But I saw the videos when the Knicks
- 27:13won.
- 27:13>> Dude, I'm hyper.
- 27:14>> You were going crazy.
- 27:15>> No, no, they were my number They were
- 27:16like they were my number two and it was
- 27:18massive. But I'm telling you,
- 27:19>> I DON'T GIVE A [ __ ] It's like
- 27:21everything. It's like sports is the most
- 27:23insane, bro. Back to wrestling. When
- 27:25Macho Man lost the title to Hogan in
- 27:28Wrestlemania 5, I cried my eyes out.
- 27:31>> I hated Hulk Hogan for 20 years.
- 27:33>> What?
- 27:34>> Yes, BRO. HEY, [screaming]
- 27:36I'M SORRY. I used to do it in my vlogs.
- 27:39It's the entrance for my theme song. Hey
- 27:40yo, I'm sorry. I got two shirts up on
- 27:42WWE Shop fanatics right now. I hate
- 27:46Logan Paul. Yes, I am the one behind it.
- 27:49You're going to monetize the haters and
- 27:51still humble because after all, I am
- 27:52your humble king. And I'm going to stay
- 27:54humble because I'm just that humble. You
- 27:56can grab my shirts and all WWE merch,
- 27:58hats, tees, replica title belt,
- 28:01superstar collections on WWE shop and
- 28:04fanatics. Get yours today. Back to the
- 28:06show.
- 28:07>> So anyway, back to passion. You as
- 28:09someone who's going to always come in
- 28:11and you we have some similarities.
- 28:14You'll go into new [ __ ] because you want
- 28:15to.
- 28:15>> Yeah.
- 28:16>> You're going to put in the work. You're
- 28:18gonna disrupt it in some ways. You're
- 28:19gonna do it different. I think and I I
- 28:22could see it already. I thought the
- 28:24wrestling thing was one of it. You've
- 28:25got three to five more at bats where
- 28:27you're gonna enter stuff. You're going
- 28:30to get to a place where not only are you
- 28:32going to be able You've always been able
- 28:33to deal with it and you went through a
- 28:35lot of stuff early on that allowed you
- 28:37to like be able to deal with it. You're
- 28:38going to actually appreciate it.
- 28:41>> I do.
- 28:41>> You know what I mean?
- 28:42>> I totally do. Like you get it.
- 28:43>> I'll tell you what, bro. I am a
- 28:45storyteller at heart. I started telling
- 28:47stories with you in Jerome Jar when I
- 28:49was making vines. They started in
- 28:51sixsecond burst burst, but I'm a
- 28:53storyteller and um that conflict or or
- 28:57any setback in life now now like you can
- 29:00have an arc. You can have a character
- 29:02arc that people can buy into because
- 29:03it's relatable, bro. That's life. [ __ ]
- 29:05ain't going to be perfect. And yeah,
- 29:06you're going to get knocked down the
- 29:07mountain, but like
- 29:09>> put one foot in front of the other and
- 29:10start climbing that mountain again.
- 29:11>> Or don't have an arc and just be
- 29:12Voldemort. Like why do you have to why
- 29:15do you even have to have a he's got an
- 29:17arc? No, but I'm saying why do you even
- 29:18have to have a dude? The villains are
- 29:20like dude the Joker like be the villain,
- 29:23bro. Like you can still have the arc.
- 29:24>> Do you know how the Joker's thing plays
- 29:26out?
- 29:27>> You know how I got these scars.
- 29:29[laughter]
- 29:29>> Yeah. I mean, listen, at the end of the
- 29:31day, the truth is no one gives a [ __ ]
- 29:35All of this, no one gives a [ __ ] The
- 29:37second
- 29:37>> something bad happens to someone in your
- 29:39family, you don't give a [ __ ] about
- 29:41what's happening to your sports team.
- 29:42You don't care about yelling at some
- 29:44influencer. You don't care about sliding
- 29:46in DMs. Like none of this actually
- 29:49[ __ ] matters. So once you get to that
- 29:51level of simplicity, you know this. Both
- 29:53of you know this. I know enough about
- 29:55both of you. You start to realize at
- 29:57some point it all doesn't really [ __ ]
- 29:59even the m like it's just what do you
- 30:01really?
- 30:01>> Well, that's when you're really free and
- 30:03you could really start to manipulate the
- 30:04system. That's like that like unplugging
- 30:06from the matrix moment. Yeah.
- 30:08>> Like for me lately, I've I've been
- 30:09obsessed with this idea that like I
- 30:11don't really even think anything that
- 30:12happens in this dimension matters, dude.
- 30:14I'm I'm worried about what's going on
- 30:15next door parallel to this one. You know
- 30:17what I'm saying?
- 30:18>> No, I know. I know you get a little
- 30:19weird.
- 30:20>> No, but but honestly, I get it. I get
- 30:22it. Like, and like
- 30:23>> dude, I've already done so all this
- 30:25[ __ ] bro. Like,
- 30:26>> and that's when it just becomes noise.
- 30:28And then if you could flip my biggest
- 30:29thing is I don't want people that are
- 30:30winning, you two included, to get to
- 30:32this place where you're [ __ ] on the
- 30:34haters. I'm looking for people to deploy
- 30:36compassion and
- 30:37>> Gary Garrett Gary I start I started
- 30:38doing this. I say God bless him. God
- 30:41bless you, bro. You you clearly need you
- 30:43need like something's hurt people hurt
- 30:46people. You're hurt. God bless you.
- 30:47>> Yeah, bro. And then and then like what
- 30:49I'm I'm just asking you like how deep do
- 30:52you mean it?
- 30:53>> I mean it
- 30:53>> good. I I'll be honest. I was maybe a
- 30:57couple two three years ago I was kind of
- 30:59pretending because I saw you I saw you
- 31:01approach haters with empathy.
- 31:04I'm inherently combative. I'm like this.
- 31:06And then I really started going, "Oh, I
- 31:08I'm 31, bro. I'm an adult." I realiz
- 31:13and I'm not not sound mean like
- 31:16>> you something is hardwired in you
- 31:18incorrectly or or like you you because
- 31:20of the trauma or hardship you've had
- 31:22your life, you think you need to [ __ ] on
- 31:24someone else to make you feel better.
- 31:26God, like honestly, God bless you. You
- 31:28need it. or back to even more grace for
- 31:31everyone or in this moment they're not
- 31:33in a great place.
- 31:34>> Fair. Also fair,
- 31:35>> right? Some people actually have very
- 31:37significant trauma and we should deploy
- 31:39incredible empathy. Just again looking
- 31:41at everybody behind the cameras. Then
- 31:43there's also just like six-month windows
- 31:45or fouryear windows that are not just
- 31:46your best [ __ ] moment. And you're
- 31:48hurting enough that the only way to get
- 31:50a short moment of relief is to go into
- 31:53misery loves company and try to hurt
- 31:56someone else to fix that short-term
- 31:59pain. And for me, I you never really
- 32:01know when you're getting, you know, that
- 32:03energy towards you. Is this something
- 32:05really really deep and fundamental or is
- 32:07it just a chapter in time? And I think
- 32:10again like just realizing you're just a
- 32:14mirror for what they're about. If you
- 32:16can deploy that humility, if you can not
- 32:18take it personal, it really puts you in
- 32:20a real place. And then once you get over
- 32:22that hump, if you're in a place where
- 32:23you actually just want it better for
- 32:25them and you can give them a minute of
- 32:27your time. People just sometimes looking
- 32:29to be seen.
- 32:30>> Well, that's the other thing, too, is
- 32:31they're not even A lot [clears throat]
- 32:32of times the [ __ ] haters ain't even
- 32:34real haters. They just want likes.
- 32:36>> That's also true.
- 32:36>> And that's the worst part. I'm like,
- 32:38"Yeah, here we go." Dude, I feel I start
- 32:39to I start to feel bad for this guy that
- 32:41keeps saying that big gadget on my
- 32:43pictures, bro. He ain't even a real
- 32:45hater. He wants to [ __ ] elevate in
- 32:47the comments to get [ __ ] or something
- 32:49like that, bro. He's just trying to get
- 32:50some likes.
- 32:51>> Yeah, but good for him.
- 32:52>> Yeah, he got him. But I, you know, I
- 32:53start feeling bad. I start to I'll pour
- 32:55compassion, bro. I don't want your
- 32:56compassion. I'm trying to get some
- 32:58likes. And then a lot of times, too,
- 32:59you'll respond to him and be like, "Hey,
- 33:00man. I saw that comment where you said
- 33:02that I hope I I fall down a flight of
- 33:04stairs and bash my head into the stair
- 33:06rail and die, you know, and then you
- 33:08message me. You're like, "Yo,
- 33:08[clears throat] I know you're going
- 33:09through some [ __ ] I just want to let
- 33:10you know shit's going to get better."
- 33:11And they're like, "Yo, it's all good,
- 33:12bro. Can we take a selfie? I'm actually
- 33:14a huge fan." I'm like, "Then why' YOU
- 33:16SAY YOU want me to fall down the stairs,
- 33:17[laughter] bro?
- 33:19>> Just say you like my [ __ ]
- 33:20>> bro." Trolling trolling evolved into
- 33:23this thing that is like a form of
- 33:25entertainment and all this. It's all
- 33:27>> I don't like that part cuz I cuz you
- 33:29can't tell who's I don't
- 33:31>> say [ __ ] you to me in real life. Please.
- 33:32>> I don't like it because I think it's
- 33:34confusing a lot of 11, 12, 13 year olds.
- 33:36That's why I don't correct. I don't
- 33:38think those kids understand. And then
- 33:40they start thinking it's cool to be a
- 33:41dick face.
- 33:42>> And I just wish a lot of these,
- 33:45>> you know, internet dick faces got
- 33:46punched in the mouth once real good. So
- 33:49like people were far less ridiculous in
- 33:51the 80s because if you talk the kind of
- 33:52[ __ ] you talk in [ __ ] Twitter now,
- 33:54you actually got punched in the mouth.
- 33:56And I think like more people should get
- 33:58punched in the mouth.
- 33:58>> I agree. We had this exact conversation
- 34:01yesterday. Like it's the it's the phones
- 34:03to be honest with you.
- 34:04>> Bro, there's literally people downstairs
- 34:05as you're walking right now asking you
- 34:07for a selfie that an hour ago left the
- 34:09negative comment. Like to you like
- 34:11they're your biggest fans. It's Stan,
- 34:12bro. It's all Eminem, bro. It's always
- 34:14been Eminem.
- 34:15>> It's always been Eminem. Wait, so Gary,
- 34:17how old is too old? Because like you you
- 34:18do the death, bro.
- 34:19>> No, bro. I saw some guys come up to you
- 34:21and said,
- 34:22>> you're like, "Man, you're young, bro.
- 34:23How how how old are you?" And he's like,
- 34:24"I'm 47." And in my head I was like,
- 34:27>> "Yeah, bro." Because you're not as smart
- 34:28as you think you are.
- 34:29>> Me?
- 34:30>> Yeah, you.
- 34:30>> I didn't say I was smart.
- 34:31>> You just made a face. You said you did
- 34:32make a funny face.
- 34:33>> You said you were 31 and grown.
- 34:34>> Yeah, I feel so grown.
- 34:36>> Yes, you you're much more grown than
- 34:38when you first hit the
- 34:39>> Wait, wait. I do want to say I am pretty
- 34:40[ __ ] smart, bro.
- 34:41>> You are very smart.
- 34:43>> Wait, you're saying I'm not as smart as
- 34:44I think.
- 34:44>> If you think 47's a rap, you're a
- 34:46[ __ ] idiot.
- 34:47>> Let me see. Let me Let me
- 34:48>> How old is MC Jagger right now?
- 34:49>> No, no, no, no, no. I'm more asking you
- 34:51>> 87. Cuz if someone told me like uh
- 34:56>> cuz you you you still you tell them
- 34:58they're young.
- 34:59>> I believe it.
- 35:00>> You do.
- 35:00>> First of all,
- 35:01>> okay. Okay. Wait. I'm saying. What age
- 35:02are you like? Like like if they're like
- 35:03I'm 75. You're not going to be like
- 35:05you're young, bro.
- 35:06>> 90s. Bro,
- 35:06>> if a 96y old rolled up on me right now
- 35:08and be like, "Yo, can I do it?" I'm
- 35:10like, "Bro, [laughter] like,
- 35:12>> yo, I swear to God, I'm going to send
- 35:14neighbor Suz's mother to Gary who's 103
- 35:17and I'm and I'm going to prompt her to
- 35:19ask him, "Am I can I still do it, Gary?
- 35:20And I want to see what you say.
- 35:22>> But but bro, but bro, on real talk, if
- 35:25103 Susie comes to me and she's like,
- 35:27"Gary, can I do it?" And I'm like, "No."
- 35:29Like, there's a chance she dies the next
- 35:31day
- 35:31>> or on the spot cuz you disappointed her.
- 35:33>> Yeah. Because like she's like,
- 35:34[laughter] "Right. That'd be a real
- 35:36>> or even worse proves you wrong and does
- 35:37it."
- 35:39>> Do you know what I'm saying? That would
- 35:40be even the wor like like Kea's on
- 35:42Hazel. She got a Tweety Bird.
- 35:44>> But I I don't understand how people like
- 35:45like it's not complicated. Like first of
- 35:48all, couple things. The reason I say it
- 35:50to this generation looking at all these
- 35:51young faces is does anyone understand
- 35:53what's going on with modern medicine?
- 35:55People are going to live for [ __ ]
- 35:56>> But are we even sure Brian Brian Johnson
- 35:58say he's going to leave to 200? Have you
- 35:59seen that guy lately? Dude, I don't know
- 36:01if he's going to make it to 46. Come on.
- 36:03By the way,
- 36:04>> guys, that's my guy.
- 36:05>> He's melting away. He's got 40
- 36:07autoimmune viruses.
- 36:09>> By the way,
- 36:09>> what do you do?
- 36:10>> He made a baby a baby Brian Johnson in a
- 36:12petri dish. He's going to rerow his own
- 36:13organs.
- 36:13>> Listen to me. I don't think anyone's
- 36:15lost on this. Like, let's just use a
- 36:18little bit of common sense. 60 and 70
- 36:20year olds today versus what 60 and 70
- 36:23year olds look like 30 years ago is not
- 36:25even [ __ ] recognizable.
- 36:26>> There's a picture There's a picture of
- 36:28me and Hulk Hogan. It was what
- 36:29[clears throat] 30-year-olds look like
- 36:30now and what 30-year-olds look like
- 36:32then.
- 36:32>> Crazy photo.
- 36:33>> Yes, bro. I get all that. Look at the
- 36:35[ __ ] Golden Girls.
- 36:37>> Those ladies were supposed to be in
- 36:38their 60s. They look like 290, you know?
- 36:40[laughter] Like, like the world has
- 36:42[ __ ] changed. And I'm saying shit's
- 36:45going to keep going. Like you at 80,
- 36:47you're going to have like a robotic
- 36:48[ __ ] arm. You're going to be a
- 36:50maniac.
- 36:50>> Oh yeah.
- 36:51>> Right. You guys, this is why you're all
- 36:53>> Oh, I'm going to extend my telomeres and
- 36:54>> you're going to look [laughter] like a
- 36:55[ __ ] power ranger.
- 36:56>> Gary Gary, here's what I Here's what I
- 36:57realized.
- 36:59>> My main goal is just to outlive the
- 37:01haters.
- 37:02>> You want them to die.
- 37:03>> Well, you say that I I want I' I'd
- 37:06prefer they die first.
- 37:07>> I get it. Because because when someone
- 37:10passes away, you know, like like
- 37:12>> people if they don't like you are going
- 37:14to [ __ ] on you. They'll they'll [ __ ] on
- 37:17you.
- 37:17>> I saw you speaking at a funeral
- 37:18recently.
- 37:19>> Oh god. Well, okay. Okay. So, it wasn't
- 37:22a funeral. It was a celebration. And And
- 37:25>> that's what he wanted.
- 37:26>> Dude, if you knew Oliver, you would
- 37:28understand. I know.
- 37:29>> He would want us to [ __ ] flame him
- 37:33postmortem. And I knew that. All of his
- 37:35friends knew that. His family knew it.
- 37:37We all talked about it. We're going to
- 37:39[ __ ] on Oliver and we all did. My My two
- 37:42first jokes were brutal, though.
- 37:44>> I took one I took one out from his
- 37:46thing.
- 37:46>> Yeah. Then I added
- 37:47>> You had a bad one. I added
- 37:48>> I said, "No, no, that one's not going to
- 37:50work."
- 37:50>> I did. I did.
- 37:50>> It was about Oliver's impact on the
- 37:52planet.
- 37:52>> Punch line being for the people that are
- 37:54listening right now, like it is asinine
- 37:57to decide you don't have time to have a
- 37:59better day. It is [ __ ] idiotic
- 38:02whether you're 60, 70, 80, or 90 to sit
- 38:04on your [ __ ] couch and be like, "I'm
- 38:0768 years old. My life's over. I [ __ ]
- 38:10it up. It's over. This [ __ ] sucks."
- 38:13The [ __ ] are you supposed to do with
- 38:15that?
- 38:15>> The [ __ ] do you think? How do you think
- 38:16they show up the next day?
- 38:18>> Like, great. You guys think I think that
- 38:20people like, you think it's silly? Knock
- 38:23yourself out. I know unlimited people in
- 38:27their [ __ ] 70s and 80s building
- 38:29[ __ ] empires.
- 38:30>> Mhm.
- 38:31>> And so do you.
- 38:32>> I do. I do. And and I admire them. I
- 38:34admire their energy and how they're
- 38:35still doing. I'm tired, Gary. I'm tired,
- 38:37bro.
- 38:37>> You're not tired, bro.
- 38:38>> You got to help me.
- 38:38>> You're not tired. Exhausted.
- 38:39>> You're drinking Prime.
- 38:40>> You're right.
- 38:42[laughter]
- 38:45>> How do you feel now? Hold on. Wait. Here
- 38:47we go. And
- 38:48>> I'm wired.
- 38:49>> There we go.
- 38:50>> I'm ready to [laughter] go.
- 38:50>> From tired to wire.
- 38:51>> I am absolutely in All right. Gary.
- 38:52Gary, real quick.
- 38:54>> Collectibles.
- 38:55>> Yes.
- 38:55>> Mass massive collector. Got me into into
- 38:57Pokemon for literally forever grateful.
- 38:59Like I'm not I'm not one of those people
- 39:00who forgets. I'm so grateful. You
- 39:04kickstarted this Pokemon journey. All it
- 39:05took was you lighting lighting a flame.
- 39:07Um
- 39:09>> market is hot right now. It's hotter
- 39:10than it's ever been. Are are uh are new
- 39:13collectors or Yeah. Are the are new
- 39:16collectors
- 39:17>> and investors going to get caught?
- 39:18>> Are they going to be surprised when the
- 39:20market does what it does and and
- 39:21fluctuates? Yeah, I think so. But I
- 39:23think again
- 39:25collectibles
- 39:26is is redot and is no longer nerdy. It's
- 39:31becoming cool, which is a [ __ ] brain
- 39:33twist,
- 39:34>> you know? Like like cool kids like you
- 39:3640 years ago. We're not talking about
- 39:38[ __ ] nerd culture.
- 39:40>> Me?
- 39:40>> Yeah.
- 39:41>> I was I was
- 39:41>> the 30 No, no, you were. First of all,
- 39:44you were one 30 years ago. Second of
- 39:46all, you know, I'm talking about in
- 39:48culture in culture 30 years ago. Nobody
- 39:52that was cool the way you're cool today
- 39:53would ever talk about your culture,
- 39:55right? Oh yeah.
- 39:56>> So that's a huge cross. That's a very
- 39:58big deal going forward of why it's gonna
- 40:01be big.
- 40:01>> But when you double click in So
- 40:04collectibles will continue to grow and
- 40:06more things will become collectibles,
- 40:08video games, different stuff like it
- 40:10will happen.
- 40:10>> Yeah.
- 40:11>> Individual things will go up and down.
- 40:13>> Okay.
- 40:13>> Right. Tyler's investing into Harry
- 40:15Potter and one of the things he's
- 40:17betting on is that HBO Max's thing
- 40:19that's coming out on Harry Potter is
- 40:20gonna crush. But maybe it isn't good.
- 40:22Maybe a lot of people don't watch it.
- 40:24And then maybe the people like Tyler
- 40:26that are speculating on Potter right
- 40:27now, it'll go down cuz it didn't go hot.
- 40:30But maybe in six years Potter will have
- 40:32a new movie. Everybody's crazy about it
- 40:34and it will go up. So in the micro poke
- 40:36I mean Pokemon's ripping.
- 40:38>> Yeah.
- 40:39>> Ripping. Like you always ask how much
- 40:41more, how much more, more. But
- 40:44individual things will eb and flow,
- 40:46right? Like cards, like there's a lot of
- 40:48categories that are primed to do well. I
- 40:50think comics,
- 40:52>> vintage comics, not my new [ __ ] Vintage
- 40:54comics primed to do well because they
- 40:56haven't exploded as much. uh coins. If
- 40:59you watch whatn not you guys are doing
- 41:01rip like live shopping you could see
- 41:03coins which has always been like if you
- 41:05go to the coin show in Pittsburgh in a
- 41:07couple weeks it's all 90 year old real
- 41:0990 year olds walking [laughter] around
- 41:11but just I went to this show in 2017 in
- 41:14Cleveland this is a fact what I'm about
- 41:16to tell you there was less than 100
- 41:18people under 25
- 41:19>> the national
- 41:20>> the national in 2017
- 41:22>> no [ __ ] way
- 41:22>> yes sir
- 41:23>> like a night like a nights at columb
- 41:26behind the scene I called him like
- 41:27there's nine people under
- 41:28>> my god that's insane So think about
- 41:30right. So I think I think in the macro
- 41:32collectibles are going to go crazy and
- 41:34will continue because I think it's
- 41:35joining music and sports and fashion as
- 41:37like a as a cultural thing but
- 41:39individually is somebody right now as
- 41:41we're sitting here downstairs going to
- 41:43spend $50,000 on something that in 12
- 41:45months will be $30,000. Of course.
- 41:47>> Yeah. Hell yeah.
- 41:48>> Like so individually there's
- 41:49vulnerability in the macro it's a very
- 41:52big market.
- 41:52>> How long do you think it's going to be
- 41:54before pogs come around? as a as a as a
- 41:57pog collector myself.
- 42:00>> Well, slammers especially, dude. Shout
- 42:02out to anybody with a hot slammer out
- 42:04there. But
- 42:04>> while we're doing it, I am ready to
- 42:06bring Beyblades back back. If anyone
- 42:08knows Beyblades.
- 42:09>> Yeah, bro. It's all riff, bro. Yeah,
- 42:11let's rip that [ __ ]
- 42:12>> bro. Everything. The reason everyone's
- 42:15yelling different things, Beanie Babies,
- 42:16silly bands, [ __ ] all all of it. The
- 42:19Lego
- 42:20>> Legos. Legos are hot.
- 42:20>> Legos are Legos are hot.
- 42:22>> Legos was a bad one. You're out. Can we
- 42:23take them out of here?
- 42:24>> Legos have never [laughter] been down.
- 42:25like, you know, but but like you know,
- 42:28like the the reality is is that
- 42:30everything es and flows, everything
- 42:31cycles, um the reason everyone just
- 42:34threw out the things is because
- 42:35nostalgia and the memory of your
- 42:38childhood is so [ __ ] ingrained
- 42:41>> that when I say Care Bears or Max Hedrum
- 42:44or Alby Pocket Kirby Pocket
- 42:48that 91 World I had the Kirby Pocket
- 42:51rookie. It was important. I remember at
- 42:53one point it was up to Yeah, at one
- 42:54point it was up to like 63 bucks, dude.
- 42:56>> And I had that thing in a in a full
- 42:59screw on your screw remember the screw
- 43:01on protectors and my
- 43:03>> That was your future cuz what it just
- 43:05it's cycles. It cycles and actually one
- 43:08of the biggest things I try to do
- 43:10>> at a show like this when things are hot
- 43:11is I try to zig when everyone's zagging.
- 43:13>> I'm trying to think like what could
- 43:15actually be hot in three years that no
- 43:17one's [ __ ] buying downstairs.
- 43:20I think, you know, I'm going to get very
- 43:22specific. I think Panini inserts from
- 43:25the early Panini stuff now that Topps
- 43:27has the license for a long time. Not Not
- 43:29like Kaboom, which is like, you know,
- 43:31are you going to have a Kaboom in WB
- 43:33East? I That would be huge,
- 43:34>> bro. If you have a [ __ ] Logan Kaboom,
- 43:37I'll go crazy.
- 43:38>> Let me Let me Let me tell I'll tell you
- 43:39this much. I'm trying to be very
- 43:41specific about what I look like on
- 43:44trading cards because I care so much
- 43:47about the
- 43:48>> Who are you who are you telling when I
- 43:49called you?
- 43:50>> I know. I know. I know. I'm so sorry.
- 43:52I'm sorry.
- 43:52>> and asked you to be in this set in the
- 43:54content Condors insert. You said no.
- 43:57>> He He resents me for [ __ ] You know
- 43:59who said yes?
- 44:00>> My brother. My brother.
- 44:01>> Jake Paul is in this product. one of the
- 44:03great Pauls of all time [laughter]
- 44:06>> who I did less for even though I did
- 44:08invest in coach in team nine or 10 or
- 44:10whatever the [ __ ] he [laughter] may
- 44:12>> Yeah. How'd that work out for you?
- 44:13>> Jake Jake's pretty liberal with his name
- 44:15and likeness.
- 44:16>> Yeah. [laughter]
- 44:17>> Um I just Well, even
- 44:21just to just to make you feel less bad,
- 44:24>> I'm doing that right now with the WWE.
- 44:27I'm like, "No,
- 44:29>> like no nah, I got to this. I I just
- 44:31care so much. I'm so scared cuz like
- 44:34this is my number one passion in my
- 44:35life. Cards, collectibles.
- 44:37>> I get it. So I I take no Please don't
- 44:39resent me. No, no resentment. Just I
- 44:41will remember it and I WILL USE IT.
- 44:43>> I WILL USE it when I need it.
- 44:45>> I think you're because Dude, I I do I
- 44:48put it like this. I owe you not just
- 44:49one. I owe you two big favors.
- 44:51>> Yeah. I would say like if I think about
- 44:52all the years like
- 44:54>> five, you know how I cash me in. I'm
- 44:56ready. I'm ready for cash.
- 44:57>> You know when I throw up the five in all
- 44:58my photos, I always do that. Yeah.
- 45:00That's the amount of favor. That's more
- 45:01that was for you. That I was always
- 45:02doing that for you.
- 45:03>> Okay, bro. But I'm ready. I'm ready.
- 45:04You're not You're not cashing him in.
- 45:05You're not asking for anything.
- 45:06>> I I tend not to,
- 45:07>> bro. Ask me for my great goal. What do
- 45:09you mean?
- 45:10>> Nothing, man.
- 45:10>> I shook your son's hand today. He didn't
- 45:11give a [ __ ] bro.
- 45:13>> He's like, "Yeah, whatever."
- 45:14>> Yeah, bro. His dad's Gary Vee. Like,
- 45:16what do you want from him? [laughter]
- 45:17[ __ ] YOU THINK LOGAN PAUL? What the
- 45:20[ __ ] bro?
- 45:23>> Talk [ __ ] to me.
- 45:24>> Look, you know this. I'm going to manage
- 45:25you at some point and we'll get it done.
- 45:27I've always like Bobby the Brain Heenan.
- 45:29I'll have my chapter. Oh, it was. It's
- 45:30been written.
- 45:31>> Cash in a favor. I'm ready.
- 45:32>> We'll clip this in seven years when I
- 45:33hit [ __ ] Tom Brady with a steel
- 45:35chair.
- 45:35>> Yeah. Hell yeah.
- 45:36>> For payback.
- 45:37>> For payback.
- 45:37>> [ __ ] yeah. You You get us back, I'll get
- 45:39his front.
- 45:40>> Let's go.

- 46:39[ __ ] is hot right now. How is V friends
- 46:41going to break through?
- 46:43>> Slowly. You know what's cool about me is
- 46:45like the [ __ ] I put out online is like
- 46:47how I actually live. Like I'm big on
- 46:48patience. Like I think it takes time.
- 46:50Like V friends will blow out when these
- 46:52comics get optioned for film and
- 46:54television. And God willing, if one of
- 46:57them hits, then the whole calculus of
- 47:00the IP changes.
- 47:01>> Have you considered making hybrids of
- 47:04your animals
- 47:06>> and putting it on the blockchain?
- 47:07>> Of course.
- 47:08>> I'm just kidding.
- 47:09>> I'm very aware. I know exactly what
- 47:11you're saying,
- 47:11>> brother. Don't do that.
- 47:13>> Don't do that.
- 47:14>> You remember I passed. I understand.
- 47:15>> I remember. Holy [ __ ] I Yes. Yes. Yes.
- 47:18You should have told me to pass, too.
- 47:19didn't pass on [ __ ] wolf game. I'll
- 47:21tell you that boy. [laughter]
- 47:23>> I have massive wolf game. I'm a huge
- 47:25follow. You
- 47:25>> know how much wool I HAVE? HOW MANY
- 47:27DEVIL [ __ ] WOLVES I HAVE?
- 47:28>> WOOL. No wool. Gary wool. I have
- 47:30>> Let's talk about NFTs for a sec. I do
- 47:32want to talk about NFTs because uh man,
- 47:34I don't know why I still really believe
- 47:37in the idea of a valuable digital asset.
- 47:40>> Why wouldn't you? the, you know, I'm
- 47:42aware that 98% of the world thinks that
- 47:44it was a scam and a fad, including
- 47:46everybody probably behind the camera,
- 47:47but math doesn't lie. If every single
- 47:50person that's listening to this podcast
- 47:51right now goes to OpenC, clicks,
- 47:53collections, and looks at the sheer
- 47:55volume of NFTts being sold every day,
- 47:58they would [ __ ] their [ __ ] hands
- 48:00today.
- 48:01>> What kind of volume?
- 48:03>> Hundreds of thousands, millions of
- 48:04dollars a day.
- 48:05>> What? Still?
- 48:06>> Yes. And everyone on Earth, Think about
- 48:08that volume. Think about that volume
- 48:11when literally every person on Earth
- 48:13walking thinks it was a fed, a scam, a
- 48:16loss. So it did the blockchain digital
- 48:20collectible thing will be massive. I am
- 48:23thrilled to clip this in nine years and
- 48:24be like it's a collectible, bro.
- 48:27>> I agree.
- 48:28>> It's a collectible.
- 48:28>> I agree. It's a shame. But but if you
- 48:31remember when I was making the videos
- 48:33about NFTTS, everybody likes to
- 48:35conveniently forget all the videos I
- 48:37made that said 99% of these are going to
- 48:39zero.
- 48:39>> Yeah, of course.
- 48:40>> Blockchain did 750 grand in the last 24
- 48:43hours.
- 48:43>> 700 panini blockchain.
- 48:45>> Wow.
- 48:45>> So did 750 just Panini blockchain.
- 48:49>> Panini
- 48:50>> blockchain
- 48:52>> did 750,000 in the last 24 hours. People
- 48:54watching and listen to this podcast
- 48:56don't think that $750,000 worth of all
- 48:59NFTs have been sold in the last six
- 49:01months.
- 49:01>> Yeah.
- 49:02>> But this is what you do when you zigg
- 49:03and zag. Like it's not because I want
- 49:06like that. I own zero panini NFTs on the
- 49:10record. It's I'm saying this not because
- 49:12I want it to work out. This is not my
- 49:15hopes and dreams or my feelings. This is
- 49:18called [ __ ] math. M
- 49:20>> go there and look and tell me if people
- 49:22are buying board ape and V friends and
- 49:24Pudgy Penguins, right?
- 49:26>> Or tell me if they're not. And you know
- 49:27what's awesome about the blockchain?
- 49:29Unlike what goes on with physical cards
- 49:31when people make people like to claim
- 49:33like, "Oh, Logan Logan had his friend
- 49:35buy it or this and that, all this, the
- 49:37blockchain's [ __ ] transparent."
- 49:40>> So look, what do I think? I think
- 49:44>> I've always compared NFTTS to web 1.0
- 49:46No,
- 49:47>> when internet for all the kids in here,
- 49:49when internet stocks came out in 2000,
- 49:51everything was worth a trillion dollars,
- 49:53even if the company did zero revenue.
- 49:55Pats.com, there was and all those stocks
- 49:57were on the [ __ ] stock exchange,
- 49:59NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange, and
- 50:01they were $150 a share. And then April
- 50:032000, all of it went to [ __ ] zero.
- 50:07Literally zero. Out of business, three
- 50:09cents a share from $500 a share. Except,
- 50:13you know who was in that mess?
- 50:14>> Google.
- 50:15>> Amazon. eBay, PayPal, they went from
- 50:19$150 a share to $3 because everything
- 50:21fell along with it.
- 50:23>> But the three or four or seven or 14
- 50:25companies that were legit companies of
- 50:27the internet era went on to become some
- 50:29of the biggest companies in the world.
- 50:30There will be three to four to seven
- 50:32projects
- 50:34from that 2021 era that in 20 years will
- 50:37be the Jackson Pollocks and the Andy
- 50:39Warhols, all the contemporary art from
- 50:41the 60s that went to zero except Bosot
- 50:44sells for hundreds of millions. Yeah.
- 50:46>> So, what everyone got confused with is
- 50:48they were like NFTTS.
- 50:50>> That'd be like saying all trading cards
- 50:52are worth a million dollars. Most are
- 50:54worth nothing.
- 50:54>> Yeah.
- 50:55>> Individual NFTts in 20 years will be
- 50:58worth something. The the question is are
- 51:01you good enough to pick the winners?
- 51:02That's hard.
- 51:03>> Yeah. That's that's that's uh that's the
- 51:04that's the taste.
- 51:05>> Yeah. Punks is guaranteed.
- 51:07>> Punks is in
- 51:08>> it's the only one that is guaranteed
- 51:10because it's based on history. Every
- 51:12other one, Be Friends, Penguins, you
- 51:14know, uh, Isuki, Board Ape, all the
- 51:17other ones need the operator to build
- 51:19it. I can tell you if as long as God
- 51:22keeps me alive, V friends will win
- 51:25because I'm a [ __ ] gangster.
- 51:28>> I'm an operator. I'm good at what I do.
- 51:31The end.
- 51:32>> Yeah. Yeah, you're good. I think I I
- 51:35could say the same about originals. I
- 51:37feel so good about that that Polaroid
- 51:38project that you're in, actually.
- 51:39>> Yeah.
- 51:40>> Number five, the floor. I think like
- 51:42it's probably 7 to 10 ETH.
- 51:43>> Yeah, it's solid. But but it's it's
- 51:45funny cuz like I I just don't see it
- 51:47seems inevitably the idea of digital a
- 51:50digital valuable asset. Like
- 51:51>> by the way, back to what Tyler just
- 51:52said, if Panini keeps cooking, the rest
- 51:54of the like IPs down there will start
- 51:56getting involved and there's eventually
- 51:58a day where the stink of NFTTS will go
- 52:01away. The stink of guys, the newspapers
- 52:05around the country put the web was a
- 52:07fad.
- 52:08>> Are you serious, Gary?
- 52:09>> Yes, bro.
- 52:09>> Oh my god. It was that much carnage.
- 52:11>> Oh my god.
- 52:12>> The internet itself was a fad.
- 52:14>> Yeah, that was a huge That was a That
- 52:16was like the main story
- 52:18>> for a little while. And then in 2005,
- 52:21Web 2.0 came. That's where me and AJ
- 52:23cooked. That's when the Flickers and the
- 52:25Deliciouses precursed
- 52:27the Facebooks and the Twitters and the
- 52:29whole world changed.
- 52:30>> Oh, that's insane.
- 52:32It is. It is. It is. So, it is so cool
- 52:34to
- 52:35>> Yes. I passed on Uber twice and missed
- 52:37out on $500 million. There you go.
- 52:38There's the story.
- 52:38>> Thanks a lot, Jeff. Yeah, my brother
- 52:41literally took the first Uber in
- 52:42Manhattan. The [ __ ] email hangs in my
- 52:44office.
- 52:45>> Damn, Gary.
- 52:46>> Bro, we dis We found you, bro.
- 52:48>> Yeah,
- 52:49>> we found you.
- 52:49>> Yeah, that's crazy. [laughter] That's
- 52:51crazy.
- 52:52>> Like,
- 52:53>> you know it. You were in you were there
- 52:56when we were like and Snapchat and all
- 52:58this. You were there.
- 52:59>> It's so nice to have these conversations
- 53:00with you because you you've you've seen
- 53:02the cycles. And it's so funny cuz I was
- 53:06doing Pokemon in 2020 and then I saw the
- 53:09dip in 22 23 24 and I was like okay but
- 53:13I still love Pokemon so this [ __ ] don't
- 53:14matter but like the market's not as good
- 53:16as it was and then it popped and now I'm
- 53:19seeing like oh this is what a cycle is.
- 53:21>> Let's also teach people something. The
- 53:22reason it was okay for you is because of
- 53:24all your hard work you were able to
- 53:26afford it going down and you didn't have
- 53:28to sell.
- 53:28>> Well said. I want to say this out loud
- 53:30to everybody who's going to get into
- 53:31collectibles or or cryptocurrency or
- 53:34real estate or stocks. You must play
- 53:37with money you can afford to lose
- 53:39because then when there's a dip, you're
- 53:42not forced to sell and you can catch it
- 53:44on the next thing. Pokemon worked out
- 53:46for you because that you were at a point
- 53:47of your career where you were making
- 53:49money elsewhere and you could sit. Y
- 53:51>> there's a lot of kids downstairs right
- 53:53now that have their entire net worth in
- 53:55the cards that they're walking around in
- 53:57a case. Actually,
- 53:58>> that's right. And if the market goes
- 54:00down 30 40%, they'll get scared and
- 54:02they'll sell everything and they'll sell
- 54:04some massive Mahomes and massive other
- 54:06cards that will then go up again one day
- 54:09and they'll regret it. So, one of the
- 54:10things that people have to be taught is
- 54:12how to manage their dollars, how to
- 54:14understand the good times are not always
- 54:16rolling. And this is good financial
- 54:18simplistic advice. And that is the thing
- 54:21that I hope people learn because people
- 54:23overextend themselves when they think
- 54:25it's easy money. Well, [clears throat]
- 54:27and they don't keep ammo and they don't
- 54:30keep ammo on the sidelines for when the
- 54:32market does drop because you don't want
- 54:33to just be able to hold. You want to be
- 54:35able to buy a shitload of blood that
- 54:37>> in fact, let's just do a PSA that I hope
- 54:39helps everyone, everyone listening that
- 54:41is like deep right now into
- 54:43collectibles, Pokemon cards, what have
- 54:45you. Sell one or two things that you're
- 54:47not completely attached to that has a
- 54:49lot of value and take those dollars and
- 54:51just put them on the side so you can
- 54:53weather the storm to keep the [ __ ] that
- 54:55you [ __ ] love. put in like high
- 54:57interest savings and get 4% on it until
- 54:59it until you're ready to
- 55:00>> do what my dad does. Bury it in the
- 55:01backyard Russian style like [laughter]
- 55:03like just straight gangsters. Put the
- 55:05cash in the mattress. [ __ ] No, no,
- 55:07bro. That's not enough for Russians.
- 55:08They bury that [ __ ] in the All the
- 55:10Russians, please hit up uh everybody,
- 55:12every Russian over 45, go on Twitter
- 55:15right now and tell all these Americans
- 55:16[laughter] the truth. They bury the
- 55:17[ __ ] cash in the backyard in a
- 55:20[ __ ] jar cuz that's in the Soviet
- 55:22Union, bro. They could take your [ __ ] a
- 55:25glass jar
- 55:25>> for, by the way, PSA for everyone who
- 55:27like loves socialism.
- 55:28>> Eventually, they'll take your [ __ ] too.
- 55:31[laughter]
- 55:31>> They're gonna take your [ __ ] too.
- 55:33>> They'll take Logan's first, and that
- 55:35will make you feel good. And then you're
- 55:37going to wake up and they're going to
- 55:38take your [ __ ] too.
- 55:39>> No, no, no. [laughter]
- 55:40>> Um Um Uh, you you know we're building
- 55:42Ripet. This is the last thing I want to
- 55:44ask you. You know, we're building Ripet.
- 55:45Uh
- 55:45>> yes, you called me.
- 55:46>> Yep. Yep. I called you and asked you
- 55:47Well, I asked you about I think what the
- 55:48next phase could be.
- 55:49>> I like where you're going.
- 55:50>> Um which I think could be could be big
- 55:52and I'll call you again. Don't pass on
- 55:54it unless you Yeah. But you you invested
- 55:56in in uh one of our competitors which
- 55:58which is uh which is cool. It's cool to
- 56:00say cuz now we're in the space.
- 56:02>> Um what what is what is your general
- 56:04opinion on repacks and and live shopping
- 56:05and entertainment shopping?
- 56:07>> Repacks I've done so little actual
- 56:09homework on like I'm aware what it is.
- 56:11Of course I'm in the game but like I
- 56:12don't know have a hot take on that.
- 56:14>> Live shopping I've been very vocal for,
- 56:17you know, I would say over 50 people
- 56:19have come to the V Friends booth here
- 56:20and thanked me for changing their life
- 56:22again. Wow.
- 56:23>> On just live shopping.
- 56:25>> Wow.
- 56:25>> People have come up to me and said,
- 56:26"Literally, I heard you 6 months ago.
- 56:28Here's my whatnot numbers showing me
- 56:29like 3 million like like changed their
- 56:32lives." Here's the cool part. When when
- 56:35we met each other, I was already nine.
- 56:38>> Vine was what 14 15 16
- 56:41>> 2013
- 56:42>> 13 I was already eight years into
- 56:45publicly talking about social media.
- 56:48>> Wow. And the people that had followed me
- 56:50for a long time thought in 2013 were
- 56:52like, "Oh, Vine, like I'm already too
- 56:54late to do it." And that was your day
- 56:56one.
- 56:57>> Wow.
- 56:58>> There I'm telling everyone who's
- 57:00watching right now, live shopping has
- 57:02not even begun.
- 57:03>> It has not begun. And not because I
- 57:06wanted to. Let's talk numbers. In China,
- 57:10live shopping this year will
- 57:12[clears throat and snorts] do over $1
- 57:13trillion$1
- 57:15trillion
- 57:17>> in product. I think it accounts for like
- 57:1930% of commerce.
- 57:20>> And here's what's confusing people. For
- 57:21the last 50 years of technology, the
- 57:24West has brought things to the east. We
- 57:27would innovate in America and bring it
- 57:29to the world. Over the last 10 years,
- 57:31we've seen China now lead and bring
- 57:34things to the world. Bite dance. Tik Tok
- 57:36changed social
- 57:37>> co.
- 57:38>> Right. So, are you going to conspiracy
- 57:40theories?
- 57:41>> Fouchy.
- 57:42>> Yeah. [laughter] Okay. Fouchi is why I'm
- 57:44not making money. You [ __ ] [ __ ]
- 57:46Shut the [ __ ] up. Um,
- 57:49K-pop. [clears throat] Like, if you ever
- 57:51if if you couldn't like I would have
- 57:54never predicted 15-year-old blonde girls
- 57:56in a in Iowa loving Asian dudes with
- 58:00[ __ ] weird hair. Like, you could
- 58:01never predict that.
- 58:02>> K-pop was
- 58:03>> you could never predicted that. So,
- 58:04Asia's influence is coming. Latin
- 58:06America, you know, you know, cultures
- 58:09coming with music, Bad Bunny, all that.
- 58:11Jay Balvin, like you could see the world
- 58:13melting. pot is getting bigger because
- 58:15of the way the world is structured
- 58:16around social. But anyone watching right
- 58:19now who's like here's an example as
- 58:21little as what I'm about to say.
- 58:23Somebody watching who could use an extra
- 58:24thousand bucks literally go on TikTok
- 58:27live or on whatnot and literally
- 58:30literally sell $1,000 worth of [ __ ]
- 58:33laying in your [ __ ] basement. You
- 58:35could literally go live and be like this
- 58:38shoe 20 bucks and people will buy it. I
- 58:42don't know if you know this, people are
- 58:44degenerates when it comes to shopping.
- 58:46People just buy [ __ ] because they're
- 58:47[ __ ] It's just human. It's [ __ ]
- 58:50human. So, live shopping has not even
- 58:52started. And every person listening can
- 58:55[ __ ] change the course of their lives
- 58:58by becoming a live shopping host. And
- 59:00the way that you grab the bull by the
- 59:02horn on Vine and it fundamentally ch Do
- 59:06you know how different your life would
- 59:07have been if you were 40 years earlier?
- 59:09>> There was no outlet.
- 59:10>> Yeah. You would have been in [ __ ]
- 59:12Ohio [ __ ] doing Ohio [ __ ]
- 59:14>> I know. I know. So weird, [laughter]
- 59:15right? So weird to think about.
- 59:16>> So everybody who's listening right now,
- 59:18listen, a lot of people were not meant
- 59:21to be, you know, content creators cuz
- 59:23they're not good enough, but some of
- 59:24those people are meant to be the best
- 59:26live sellers in the world. Yeah.
- 59:28>> Cuz they're salespeople.
- 59:29>> Yep.
- 59:29>> Right. Lou, we had old Lou up here
- 59:31earlier.
- 59:32>> Lou,
- 59:32>> no shot would have been a good content
- 59:34creator. Could crush as a live selling
- 59:38host. He was a salesman. He's a salesman
- 59:40and when he's passionate about
- 59:42something, he really gets going and he
- 59:43would crush. [clears throat]
- 59:44But he was never going to be you as a
- 59:46content creator, but he could be a
- 59:48profoundly good live. He's building this
- 59:50alcohol brand. He should quit.
- 59:52>> I know you think it's going to be big.
- 59:53Quit and just live sell.
- 59:55>> Interesting. Interesting. [snorts]
- 59:57>> And he represents tens of millions of
- 59:59people listening right now. So, I'm
- 1:00:01obsessed. Live shopping. Here's why.
- 1:00:03There's so many people's lives that are
- 1:00:05going to be changed by it. This way
- 1:00:06social media changed people's lives.
- 1:00:08That's amazing,
- 1:00:08>> dude. Dude, you you uh you said you were
- 1:00:10going to give us 30 minutes. You gave us
- 1:00:11a [ __ ] hour.
- 1:00:12>> Wait, what? You were gonna give us 30
- 1:00:13minutes?
- 1:00:14>> I asked yesterday. I said, "How long?"
- 1:00:15>> I was gonna give him 30 minutes.
- 1:00:17>> When I found out you were here, bro, I I
- 1:00:20am I am willing to be here as long as
- 1:00:23you want, Mike. I have a lot of love for
- 1:00:25you as you know. Again, you know this,
- 1:00:27right? Like we haven't really gotten a
- 1:00:29real right, but you know this every time
- 1:00:31like randomly had a Super Bowl thing
- 1:00:32like keep it up with the B. Like I cheer
- 1:00:34for you, bro.
- 1:00:34>> No, dude. I met the first time I met you
- 1:00:36was at the Jets. was at a Jets game with
- 1:00:38Sean Nelson from Love Sack.
- 1:00:39>> Oh, is that right?
- 1:00:40>> And you were in the front row and I and
- 1:00:41we were in row two and I met you and I
- 1:00:43wanted to say this earlier in the show
- 1:00:45>> when you when people say you are kind
- 1:00:48and giving of your time to everyone. You
- 1:00:50you were like that the first day I
- 1:00:52[ __ ] met you in like 2014 or 15. You
- 1:00:55asked who how did I get involved with
- 1:00:56Love Hack? How did I get the job? Why
- 1:00:58did I know Shawn? Like dude, you he Gary
- 1:01:00really is who he says he is and is and
- 1:01:02is an awesome [ __ ] person. Facts.
- 1:01:04You're the man. Gary V. Ladies and
- 1:01:05gentlemen,
- 1:01:05>> thank you everyone. Thank you.
