- 0:00Samsung offers several Galaxy Watch
- 0:01models. The standard series, the classic
- 0:04series, and the ultra series. [music]
- 0:06But what does each series offer, and
- 0:07what are the differences between the
- 0:08models? The Galaxy Watch series
- 0:11represents Samsung's standard smartwatch
- 0:12lineup, and is the right choice for most
- 0:14users. [music] These models offer the
- 0:16main smartwatch features, health and
- 0:18fitness tracking, GPS, [music] NFC, and
- 0:20access to apps through Wear OS, all in a
- 0:23more compact and lightweight design.
- 0:25Currently, the most relevant generations
- 0:26are the Galaxy Watch 7, Watch 8, and
- 0:28Watch 9, each of available in two sizes,
- 0:31approximately 40 and 44 mm, as well as
- 0:33Bluetooth or LTE versions. Galaxy Watch
- 0:367, released in 2024, the Galaxy Watch 7
- 0:40remains a very good option, especially
- 0:42if it is available at a discounted
- 0:43price. [music] It uses the Exynos W1000
- 0:46processor built on a 3-nanometer
- 0:47process, alongside 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB
- 0:51of storage, and introduced
- 0:53dual-frequency GPS for more accurate
- 0:55location tracking. The two versions
- 0:57feature Super AMOLED displays measuring
- 0:59approximately 1.3 and 1.5 in, along with
- 1:02300 and 425 mA hour batteries,
- 1:06respectively. The construction offers
- 1:08water resistance up to 5 ATM and an IP68
- 1:11rating. It is designed primarily as a
- 1:13health and fitness companion, offering
- 1:15heart rate, workout, and [music] sleep
- 1:17tracking. With the help of Galaxy AI, it
- 1:19can analyze sleep quality, provide
- 1:20personalized recommendations, and even
- 1:22detect signs of moderate to severe sleep
- 1:24apnea. At the same time, it offers all
- 1:26the usual smartwatch features, including
- 1:28notifications, calls, and messages
- 1:30directly from your wrist.
- 1:32>> [music]
- 1:32>> Galaxy Watch 8, in 2025, Samsung
- 1:35introduced the Galaxy Watch 8, which
- 1:37retains the same Exynos W1000 processor,
- 1:402 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, so the
- 1:43performance difference compared to the
- 1:45Watch 7 is not very significant. Battery
- 1:48capacities increased slightly to 325 and
- 1:50435 mA hours. The case was redesigned
- 1:54with a cushion shape inspired by the
- 1:55Galaxy Watch Ultra, while the new
- 1:58dynamic lug system allows the band to
- 2:00sit closer to the wrist for more
- 2:01accurate measurements. The Super AMOLED
- 2:03display can now reach a brightness of up
- 2:05to 3,000 nits. On the fitness and health
- 2:08side, new features include vascular
- 2:10load, antioxidant index, running coach,
- 2:13advanced sleep coaching, and bedtime
- 2:15guidance, while AI integration allows
- 2:17users to perform various actions
- 2:19directly through voice commands. Galaxy
- 2:22Watch 9. The [music] Galaxy Watch 9 is
- 2:24the 20 26 generation and follows the
- 2:26same overall concept as its predecessor,
- 2:29while introducing several important
- 2:30internal upgrades. The biggest change is
- 2:32the switch from the Exynos to the new
- 2:34[music] Snapdragon Wear Elite. Memory
- 2:36remains at 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of
- 2:39storage, while battery capacity is
- 2:41increased to 390 mA hours for the
- 2:44smaller model and 445 mA hours for the
- 2:47larger one. The Watch 9 retains the
- 2:49health features introduced with the
- 2:51Watch 8, such as vascular load and
- 2:53antioxidant index. The new vitals
- 2:55feature tracks multiple health
- 2:56indicators during the night and can
- 2:58identify changes compared to your usual
- 3:00baseline, while heart health score
- 3:02combines information such [music] as
- 3:03sleep, physical activity, BMI, and
- 3:06vascular load into an easy-to-follow
- 3:08score. For sports, fitness index
- 3:10evaluates your fitness level and can
- 3:11recommend training programs, while
- 3:13running coach provides plans for
- 3:14everything from 5 km races to marathons.
- 3:18The Watch 9 also improves comfort for
- 3:20all-day and overnight use with a softer,
- 3:22more breathable band. Galaxy Watch
- 3:24Classic. The Galaxy [snorts] Watch
- 3:26Classic series is the more premium
- 3:28alternative to the standard Galaxy Watch
- 3:30models. Its main feature is the physical
- 3:32rotating bezel around the display, which
- 3:34can be used to navigate through menus
- 3:35and apps. Classic models also have a
- 3:37design that more closely resembles a
- 3:39traditional watch and use more premium
- 3:41materials, although they are generally
- 3:43larger and heavier than the standard
- 3:45versions. However, Samsung does not
- 3:47release a new Classic model every year,
- 3:49which is why the The recent generations
- 3:51are the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and Watch
- 3:538 Classic. Galaxy Watch 6 Classic,
- 3:57released in 2023, the Galaxy Watch 6
- 3:59Classic brought back the physical
- 4:00rotating bezel [music] after Samsung
- 4:02temporarily removed it with the Watch 5
- 4:04generation. It is available in 43 and 47
- 4:07mm sizes and features a stainless steel
- 4:09case with a Super AMOLED display.
- 4:11Inside, you get 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of
- 4:14storage, while the batteries have
- 4:16capacities of 300 or 425 mA hours
- 4:19depending on the size. The Watch [music]
- 4:216 Classic already offers advanced
- 4:23features for tracking sleep, heart rate,
- 4:25temperature, and body composition,
- 4:27making it still an interesting option if
- 4:28you can find it at a good price. Watch 8
- 4:31Classic. In 2025, Samsung brought back
- 4:34the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, available in
- 4:36a single 46 mm size. It combines the
- 4:39physical rotating bezel with the new
- 4:41cushion design introduced with the Watch
- 4:438 series. The internal upgrades are also
- 4:45significant. The Watch 8 Classic uses a
- 4:47five-core processor built on a 3 nm
- 4:50process [music] with 2 GB of RAM and 64
- 4:52GB of storage, four times more than the
- 4:55Watch 6 Classic. It also [music] gets
- 4:57dual frequency GPS, a Super AMOLED
- 4:59display that can reach up to 3,000 nits,
- 5:01and a 445 mA hour battery. For health
- 5:04and fitness, it offers the same features
- 5:06as the Watch 8 generation, including
- 5:08running coach, advanced sleep coaching,
- 5:10and bedtime guidance.
- 5:12Galaxy Watch Ultra series.
- 5:14>> [music]
- 5:14>> The Galaxy Watch Ultra series represents
- 5:16Samsung's top-of-the-line smartwatch
- 5:18lineup, designed mainly for sports,
- 5:20[music] outdoor activities, and users
- 5:22who want a more rugged watch with better
- 5:23battery life. Unlike the standard and
- 5:25classic models, the Ultra features a
- 5:27durable titanium construction, greater
- 5:29resistance to water [music] and extreme
- 5:31temperatures, and comes in a single 47
- 5:33mm size. The design is easy to recognize
- 5:36thanks to its cushion style case,
- 5:37[music] which combines a square body
- 5:39with a circular display. On the side,
- 5:41there is also a dedicated quick button,
- 5:43which can be customized for quick access
- 5:45to different features [music] or
- 5:46workouts.
- 5:47The first Galaxy Watch Ultra was
- 5:49released in 2024. [music] It features a
- 5:5147-mm titanium case, a 1.5-in Super
- 5:55[music] AMOLED display with a brightness
- 5:56of up to 3,000 nits, and 10 ATM water
- 5:59resistance, twice the 5 ATM rating of
- 6:01the standard Galaxy Watch models.
- 6:04Inside, you get the same Exynos W1000,
- 6:06built on a 3-nm process that was
- 6:08introduced with the Watch 7, alongside 2
- 6:11GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The
- 6:14battery, however, is considerably larger
- 6:16at 590 mA hours, designed for longer
- 6:19workouts and outdoor activities. The
- 6:21Ultra also features dual frequency GPS
- 6:23for more accurate location tracking,
- 6:25while its rugged construction is
- 6:27designed to handle a wider range of
- 6:28temperatures and altitudes. In 2025, the
- 6:32Galaxy Watch Ultra received a refreshed
- 6:34version that remains almost identical to
- 6:36the original model, but doubles the
- 6:38storage from 32 to 64 GB, and introduces
- 6:41a new titanium blue color. The Galaxy
- 6:44Watch Ultra 2 is the second generation
- 6:46of the series and keeps the same overall
- 6:47concept and 47-mm size, while improving
- 6:50the hardware and, most importantly,
- 6:52[music] battery life. One of the biggest
- 6:54changes is the new Snapdragon Wear Elite
- 6:56processor, also used in the Watch 9
- 6:58generation. It is [music] paired with 2
- 7:00GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The
- 7:03battery, however, gets one of the
- 7:05biggest upgrades, jumping from 590 to
- 7:07800 mA hours. Durability is also
- 7:10improved [music] with 10 ATM water
- 7:11resistance and an IP69K rating, while
- 7:14dual frequency GPS is retained for more
- 7:16accurate location tracking. The Ultra 2
- 7:19also gets the new health and fitness
- 7:21features from the Watch 9 generation,
- 7:23including vitals, heart health score,
- 7:25and fitness index, alongside the
- 7:27existing features for sleep, workout,
- 7:29and recovery tracking.
- 7:31So, the main differences between the
- 7:33three series come down to how they are
- 7:35designed and the type of user they are
- 7:36made for. The standard models are
- 7:38designed for everyday use. They come in
- 7:40smaller sizes, are thinner and lighter
- 7:42while still offering most of the
- 7:44important health, fitness, and
- 7:45connectivity features. The Galaxy Watch
- 7:47Classic offers largely the same
- 7:49experience, but with a more premium and
- 7:51traditional design featuring a rotating
- 7:53bezel. The Galaxy Watch Ultra takes
- 7:55things a step further with a larger and
- 7:57more rugged construction, better battery
- 7:59life, and additional features for sports
- 8:01and outdoor activities.
