- 0:00After Shopping Connect launched last
- 0:02year, I thought every blogger was doing
- 0:04affiliate marketing. But I was wrong.
- 0:07Many are still scared to start
- 0:08affiliate posting and are being
- 0:10cautious. There are still many who
- 0:12hesitate, thinking, "I don't have
- 0:14enough daily visitors, so nothing will
- 0:16sell even if I post." So today, I’m
- 0:18going to teach you the standard way to
- 0:21write affiliate marketing posts. Of
- 0:23course, it’s fine to write
- 0:24comfortably as you like. You can just
- 0:26write a review and add the link at the
- 0:28end. But since affiliate posting can
- 0:30feel difficult and cautious, if you're
- 0:32going to put in the effort, you want it
- 0:34to sell well, right? To help you get
- 0:37started, I’ll share a 6-step guide to
- 0:39writing posts that sell, complete with
- 0:41easy-to-understand examples for each
- 0:43stage. You really need to try following
- 0:46this. Do you know the biggest trait of
- 0:49those who don't earn small profits
- 0:50through affiliate marketing? It's that
- 0:52they find the link after finishing the
- 0:54post. That’s why people often ask me.
- 0:56"Do you have a link that fits a
- 0:57restaurant review?""I've finished the
- 0:59post; what link should I put here?" But
- 1:01that’s not how it works. You must
- 1:03select the product first. So, step one
- 1:07of writing an affiliate marketing post
- 1:08is choosing the product. Once the
- 1:11product is set, you can determine what
- 1:13keywords potential buyers would search
- 1:15for, allowing you to move to the next
- 1:17stage. It also helps you write the
- 1:20content centered around that product.
- 1:23If you find a link after writing the
- 1:25post, the link often doesn't match the
- 1:27overall context of your writing. So, if
- 1:31you plan to write an affiliate
- 1:32marketing post, you must always choose
- 1:35the product or service first. And
- 1:37naturally, people look for high-priced
- 1:40items or products with high commission
- 1:44rates, thinking that even a small share
- 1:47will be substantial. However, if you're
- 1:50new to affiliate marketing, I recommend
- 1:53starting with products you've used or
- 1:55services you've tried, even if they're
- 1:58cheap. It's hard enough writing a
- 2:00recommendation for something you've
- 2:02used, so it’s nearly impossible to
- 2:04start by writing about things you
- 2:06haven't. Also, expensive products
- 2:10generally take more time to sell. Think
- 2:14about buying a $ 30 item online versus
- 2:17a $ 3,000 one; people compare much more
- 2:20for the $ 3,000 item, don't decide
- 2:22based on one post, and browse
- 2:24everywhere, making it harder for them
- 2:27to buy through your link. Of course, if
- 2:30there’s a promotion like the Samsung
- 2:32Onnuri gift certificate refund event,
- 2:33they do sell quickly. Unless that’s
- 2:36the case, it’s much better to start
- 2:38affiliate marketing by writing about
- 2:40products or services you’ve tried
- 2:41yourself and would actually recommend
- 2:43to others, even if they’re
- 2:45inexpensive. With affiliate marketing,
- 2:47you get a real thrill when you finally
- 2:49make that first sale you were aiming
- 2:50for. Once you get the hang of it,
- 2:52you’ll be able to write about more
- 2:53expensive items or products you
- 2:55haven’t used before, all while
- 2:56maintaining that initial intuition. So,
- 2:58when you first start affiliate
- 2:59marketing, focus on getting a feel for
- 3:01the process. Once you’ve decided
- 3:05which product or service to write about
- 3:07, the second step is to identify your
- 3:09target audience and selling points.
- 3:11Terms like "target audience" or "
- 3:13selling point" might sound a bit
- 3:14intimidating at first. Simply put, it
- 3:16just means deciding who you’re
- 3:18selling to and finding the most
- 3:20compelling reason why people should buy
- 3:22this specific product. I recommend
- 3:24starting your affiliate marketing post
- 3:26by narrowing down your target audience
- 3:29and focusing on one or two strong
- 3:31selling points. Let me give you an
- 3:33example. I gave birth around Christmas,
- 3:35which means I was heavily pregnant
- 3:37during late autumn and early winter. I
- 3:39was so cold that I bought some
- 3:41maternity long johns. It turned out
- 3:42this product was available through
- 3:43Coupang Partners. It just happened to
- 3:45be something I really liked. So, I
- 3:46wondered who I should try to sell this
- 3:47to. Obviously, you’d think of
- 3:50pregnant women, but I thought about who
- 3:52else could be a more specific target. I
- 3:55decided to target tall pregnant women.
- 3:57I’m 170cm tall. Most pants are just
- 4:01too short for me. My ankles are always
- 4:03exposed and freezing. But the maternity
- 4:06long johns I wore when I was heavily
- 4:08pregnant covered my belly perfectly.
- 4:10Even with my belly fully covered, the
- 4:12pants were long enough to cover my
- 4:15ankles. And that made such a difference
- 4:16in staying warm. Covering your ankles
- 4:18is crucial, and honestly, it’s rare
- 4:20to find innerwear pants with this kind
- 4:22of length. So, I focused my post on
- 4:25that specific detail. That post has
- 4:27reached a total of 634 views so far. I
- 4:31sold exactly 15 pairs of these pants,
- 4:33and the brand saw a total of 26 sales
- 4:35attributed to my content. Most people
- 4:39think they need to sell to as many
- 4:41people as possible when they start. But
- 4:44narrowing your target and finding that
- 4:46one point that persuades them is a much
- 4:48better strategy. Everyone has different
- 4:50reasons for making a purchase. For
- 4:52example, for the same long johns, you
- 4:54could focus on a selling point like, "
- 4:56This material is so soft that it didn't
- 4:58irritate the skin of a pregnant woman
- 5:00suffering from pregnancy-induced
- 5:02pruritus." Or you could highlight that
- 5:05they are cheaper than other brands,
- 5:06making it really convenient to buy
- 5:08several pairs and rotate them easily.
- 5:10Of course, you could include all of
- 5:12this in a single post. But if you think
- 5:14about it, even when we scroll through a
- 5:16product page, we rarely read it
- 5:18thoroughly from start to finish; we
- 5:20often buy it because we get hooked on
- 5:22just one specific point. That’s why
- 5:25when I do affiliate marketing, I prefer
- 5:27to pick a target and write content
- 5:29focused on persuading that specific
- 5:30audience. It makes writing much easier,
- 5:33and you’ll find your conversion rates
- 5:35improve significantly. And for your
- 5:37target and selling points, it’s best
- 5:38to choose someone like yourself. It’s
- 5:40easier to write when you focus on the
- 5:41aspects that you personally find
- 5:43appealing. For the record, if I don't
- 5:45have a clear target and selling point,
- 5:48I focus on writing posts that do, and I
- 5:50save the rest for later. Honestly, I
- 5:53felt it was a waste of time to write
- 5:55scattered content when there’s so
- 5:57much to cover in affiliate marketing
- 5:59and I wasn't even sure what to write
- 6:01about. And step three is crafting the
- 6:04title. In affiliate marketing, traffic
- 6:06from search exposure definitely leads
- 6:07to higher conversion rates. If browsing
- 6:09is like saying "Oh, this exists,"
- 6:11searching is like saying "I need this,"
- 6:13and because they are actively looking
- 6:15for it, the conversion rate is much
- 6:17higher. I also recommend
- 6:19search-oriented titles to those who
- 6:21haven't written many affiliate
- 6:22marketing posts yet because it allows
- 6:24you to see your traffic keywords. If
- 6:27you click the stats button at the top
- 6:28right of your post and check the
- 6:30traffic sources, you can see detailed
- 6:32pathways and keywords from blog
- 6:33searches and integrated searches.
- 6:36Checking these keywords is crucial
- 6:38because you can catch what people are
- 6:40curious about and how they search,
- 6:42which helps you reference those
- 6:44keywords for future posts about similar
- 6:46or different affiliate products. These
- 6:50days, Naver doesn't just show results
- 6:52based on your title keywords but also
- 6:54displays results based on context, so
- 6:55sometimes you get traffic from keywords
- 6:57you never expected. Seeing and getting
- 7:00familiar with these keywords is also
- 7:02vital when building your affiliate
- 7:03marketing strategy. I’ve already
- 7:05explained how to write search-oriented
- 7:07titles in my other videos. Although "
- 7:09Smart Blocks" are gone, you can still
- 7:12utilize features like autocomplete,
- 7:14related searches, and questions found
- 7:17in AI briefings. Also, one thing I
- 7:18always suggest including in your title
- 7:20is your own personal experience.
- 7:21We’ve all complained a lot about how
- 7:23Naver changed its search exposure
- 7:24method, right? We said, "My blog views
- 7:27are dropping so much," but if you think
- 7:29from the searcher's perspective,
- 7:31they’re searching and not seeing any
- 7:33blog results. They think, "I'm not
- 7:35getting the results I want with this
- 7:36search." So, they start searching with
- 7:38more detailed keywords that fit their
- 7:40specific situation. We are targeting
- 7:41this specific point. In fact, traffic
- 7:43for keywords like "maternity long johns
- 7:45,""pants for tall pregnant women," and
- 7:47"winter pants for tall pregnant women"
- 7:49actually came in. If people like that
- 7:51see my blog post, they won’t hesitate
- 7:53for long, right? The probability of
- 7:55them purchasing would be much higher.
- 7:56These days, even if keywords aren't in
- 7:58the title—or even if they aren't in
- 8:00the main body—content can still rank
- 8:02if the context is relevant. However, it
- 8:04definitely stands out more if it’s in
- 8:06the title. I’d like to try creating
- 8:08another title here. Since August and
- 8:10September are approaching, it’s about
- 8:12time I write a post about my Grand
- 8:13Canyon tour. My target audience is
- 8:15people considering a Grand Canyon tour
- 8:17in August or September. Various
- 8:19autocomplete suggestions popped up, but
- 8:21since I've covered title-making in
- 8:23other videos, I’ll skip that and
- 8:25write the title like this. "Las Vegas
- 8:28Departure Grand Canyon 2-Day Tour:
- 8:30August-September Honest Review." Here,
- 8:34my experience is that I took a tour
- 8:36starting from Vegas, and since I went
- 8:39in early September, the weather is
- 8:41pretty similar to August. So, August
- 8:45and September become part of my
- 8:46experience, and I've also integrated my
- 8:48target audience into the title. Once
- 8:50you’ve crafted a title like this, you
- 8:52move on to step 4: writing subheadings.
- 8:54We’re not writing the post yet. You
- 8:56have to create the subheadings first.
- 8:57Why do I tell you to write subheadings
- 8:59first? If you write the content
- 9:01immediately after the title, you end up
- 9:03forgetting who your target was and what
- 9:04your selling points were. So, the
- 9:06subheadings serve to help you keep
- 9:09those points in mind from start to
- 9:11finish. For your reference, 95%of my
- 9:14posts have exactly three subheadings.
- 9:16That’s because having too many
- 9:18subheadings makes it harder to
- 9:19concentrate than having a long block of
- 9:21text. Usually, when there are too many
- 9:24subheadings, you write one, add two or
- 9:26three lines of text, then move to the
- 9:28next. This makes the writing feel
- 9:30disjointed, and you're more likely to
- 9:32end up just listing information.
- 9:34Affiliate marketing posts aren't just
- 9:35for listing info; they’re meant to
- 9:37help the reader make a decision. If you
- 9:39turn every little detail into a
- 9:41subheading, everything looks equally
- 9:43important, which can actually hinder
- 9:45focus. So, stick to three subheadings
- 9:47—or at most four. Then, what should
- 9:50you include in the subheadings? Just
- 9:51write the essential content that aligns
- 9:54with the selling points your target
- 9:56audience is curious about. So, let’s
- 9:58try setting the subheadings for the "
- 10:00Las Vegas Departure Grand Canyon 2-Day
- 10:02Tour: August-September Honest Review"
- 10:03title I just wrote. What people expect
- 10:06from a post when they see this title.
- 10:08What are people wondering about if they
- 10:09plan to tour the Grand Canyon in August
- 10:11or September? And what kind of
- 10:13information do they expect to find here
- 10:14after reading this title? Leaving from
- 10:16Las Vegas, what time should I depart?
- 10:18Do they provide hotel pickup? Which day
- 10:20of the week is best to go? Isn't it hot
- 10:22in August? It's a desert, will I be
- 10:23okay? What should I bring? They'll
- 10:26wonder about things like this, and
- 10:28whether the tour you took was any good,
- 10:30right? So, I'm going to write the
- 10:32subheadings like this. Grand Canyon
- 10:33tour departing from Las Vegas. Grand
- 10:35Canyon weather in August and September.
- 10:39And once the subheadings are set, I jot
- 10:42down what I intend to include in the
- 10:44post. I’m raising a baby right now,
- 10:47so I sometimes get called away while
- 10:49writing. Then my train of thought gets
- 10:51cut off, and I can't remember what I
- 10:53was going to write. I recommend leaving
- 10:55a few notes just in case that happens.
- 11:13Those who have watched up to this point
- 11:15might think: Oh, obviously you'd write
- 11:16it like that. Of course, you'd write
- 11:18the title and subheadings like that.
- 11:20But the target audience changes,
- 11:21doesn't it? Then it becomes a
- 11:22completely different post. For instance
- 11:24, some people might be worried about
- 11:26taking a Grand Canyon tour with their
- 11:27parents. Others might wonder if it's
- 11:29okay to go with elementary school kids.
- 11:31Some might be debating whether to rent
- 11:33a car or take a tour to the Grand
- 11:35Canyon. From people deciding between a
- 11:37day trip, a 2-day/1-night trip, or a 3-
- 11:39day/2-night trip, the variety of
- 11:41concerns is endless. If you think about
- 11:44how the target changes, you can write
- 11:46multiple posts from a single experience
- 11:48. Since the questions and selling
- 11:51points for each target are different,
- 11:53the subheadings will change too. Once
- 11:55everything is set up like this, move on
- 11:57to the fifth step: writing. It's a long
- 11:59way off, right? But when you write
- 12:01after thinking through all this
- 12:03beforehand, Your writing time
- 12:04definitely decreases. And you'll be
- 12:06much more satisfied with the finished
- 12:08piece. There will definitely be people
- 12:09who feel this way. I've finished
- 12:10writing, but it feels so strange. I
- 12:12don't even know what my own post is
- 12:13trying to say. It's way too long. Or
- 12:15it's too short. There are definitely
- 12:17people who decide not to publish
- 12:18because they think, "I can't post this.
- 12:19" But there's no need for that. Once
- 12:22you pick a product, identify a target,
- 12:24find the selling point, and write the
- 12:25title and subheadings accordingly, You
- 12:27won't have time for other thoughts.
- 12:29You'll be too busy filling in the
- 12:31content. And while writing, you just
- 12:32insert your affiliate links to match
- 12:34the flow. My posts, for some reason,
- 12:36don't get read. I wrote a post and
- 12:38included links, but nothing is selling.
- 12:40If you look at posts from people who do
- 12:42this, they often jump from one topic to
- 12:44another and back again. Since it
- 12:46doesn't flow as a single story, the
- 12:48placement of affiliate links often
- 12:50feels awkward. Honestly, watching this
- 12:52video of mine today is a win-win
- 12:53situation for you. Just follow this
- 12:55order and try writing it this way
- 12:57exactly once. Once you read what you've
- 12:59written, even you will feel like buying
- 13:01the product. If you look up quotes from
- 13:03famous authors, there are so many
- 13:05stories about how they revised their
- 13:07work repeatedly. But realistically, we
- 13:08struggle to write just one blog post a
- 13:10day, so who has time for revisions? We
- 13:12just write it and hit publish. But this
- 13:14is where you should use AI. Everyone,
- 13:16after I finish writing, I export it to
- 13:19Word, convert it to PDF, and toss it
- 13:21straight into my custom marketing post
- 13:24diagnostic GPT. Then it tells me what I
- 13:26did well, what I didn't, and what I
- 13:27should fix. It provides feedback in
- 13:29that way. That’s how I’ve set it up
- 13:30. Sometimes its feedback doesn't align
- 13:34with my intended direction, but if
- 13:35there's a point I missed, it reminds me
- 13:37, "Right, I forgot about that," and I
- 13:39incorporate it. There are so many
- 13:42psychological factors to consider in
- 13:44affiliate marketing; how could I
- 13:46possibly keep them all in my head every
- 13:48time? But since AI reviews it for us,
- 13:50it makes things much easier. And even
- 13:52if you don't have a specific prompt
- 13:54created. Even if you haven't built your
- 13:56own GPTs, the AI already understands
- 13:58what affiliate marketing is. So, if you
- 14:00put in your text and ask it to review
- 14:02it from an affiliate marketing
- 14:04perspective, you'll be able to get
- 14:05feedback. Affiliate posts that only
- 14:07focus on discount links or codes might
- 14:09sell well even if written by AI. That's
- 14:11because for those, high search ranking
- 14:12is what matters. However, for affiliate
- 14:13posts where you talk about how you
- 14:14tried the product and it was good. Or
- 14:16that a service was good, people are
- 14:18ultimately the ones reading and
- 14:19deciding to make a purchase. So, even
- 14:22if you use AI for feedback or to draft
- 14:24the text, I really want you to read
- 14:26through it one last time yourself.
- 14:29Honestly, we also want to click away
- 14:30when a post clearly looks like it was
- 14:32written by AI. In fact, there are
- 14:34dozens, no, hundreds of skills and
- 14:36techniques in affiliate marketing. I
- 14:39believe there are still many parts out
- 14:41there that even I don't know yet. But
- 14:44rather than focusing on specific skills
- 14:46from the start, it's better to build a
- 14:48solid writing foundation first, so that
- 14:51when you do apply those skills, they
- 14:53create much stronger synergy. You might
- 14:56think the method I shared today is too
- 14:58difficult or involves too much work,
- 15:00but once you get used to it, you'll be
- 15:03doing it in no time. You'll find the
- 15:05process of building this foundation to
- 15:06be truly enjoyable. I hope you try
- 15:08writing your posts this way and boast
- 15:10to me once you make your first sale. I
- 15:12hope today’s video helps you take the
- 15:14first step in your affiliate marketing
- 15:16journey. Thank you for watching today's
- 15:17video until the end.
