  1. 0:00Iblis, let's start with the first story, the story of the creature who was created from fire. Iblis was not an angel, he was
  2. 0:05from the jinn, but he was a worshipper, an ascetic, and a diligent person to the point that he rose and became in the ranks of the angels and their status.
  3. 0:11Imagine that he worshipped God for very long periods, his situation was perfect until the moment of the
  4. 0:17real test came. God Almighty created Adam from clay and issued the royal command to the angels, and Iblis
  5. 0:22was with them by virtue of his status, to prostrate to Adam. Everyone prostrated in obedience to God except for one, Iblis, who stood with his head full of
  6. 0:29pride and arrogance and refused. Why? Not because he did not hear, but because he saw himself. When they asked God about the reason for the refusal,
  7. 0:35Iblis replied, “I am better than him. I was created from fire and he was created from clay. How can fire prostrate to clay?”
  8. 0:41Herein lay the downfall. The problem wasn't in the prostration itself, but in the arrogance towards
  9. 0:46God's command. God expelled him from mercy and from Paradise, telling him, "Get out of here, disgraced and banished." Instead of repenting
  10. 0:52and apologizing, he increased his obstinacy and asked God to grant him respite until the Day of Judgment, not to repent, but to mislead the descendants of
  11. 0:58Adam and prove to God that they were unworthy. The result was that he lost his position and his afterlife, becoming
  12. 1:04a symbol of evil forever. The reason? "I am better than him." Pharaoh—Pharaoh isn't a personal name, but a title for the kings of Egypt—but
  13. 1:11the Pharaoh we're talking about is the one who lived during the time of Moses, peace be upon him. This man reached a level of
  14. 1:16ego unmatched by any other human being. He ruled Egypt with an iron fist, slaughtering male children because of a prophecy
  15. 1:22he heard that said one of them would overthrow his kingdom. The strange irony is that the child
  16. 1:27Moses feared was raised in his house and under his watchful eye. When Moses grew up and received revelation, he went to Pharaoh and said, "Send
  17. 1:34the Children of Israel with us and do not torment them. I am a messenger from your Lord." Pharaoh, who told people, "I am your
  18. 1:40supreme lord," was insane. He challenged Moses and gathered his strongest forces. The magicians in Egypt, in an attempt to humiliate Moses before the people on
  19. 1:46the day of the festival, threw down their ropes and staffs, bewitching the people's eyes so that they appeared as
  20. 1:52nine snakes. But Moses, by God's command, threw down his staff, and it transformed into a real, enormous serpent that swallowed all the magicians' tricks.
  21. 1:59The magicians, being from Sana'a, knew that this was not magic, but the truth, so they immediately prostrated to God and believed in the Lord
  22. 2:05of Moses and Aaron. Pharaoh was overcome with pride and wounded. He wanted to cut off the magicians' hands and feet, but they
  23. 2:11had seen the truth and were unconcerned. In the end, Moses took his people and they fled at night towards the sea.
  24. 2:16Pharaoh pursued them with his massive army, thinking they were trapped by the sea. But a miracle occurred:
  25. 2:22the sea parted, creating a dry path. Moses and his people crossed. Pharaoh, in his arrogance and stubbornness, sent his army down
  26. 2:28the sea to catch them. When he reached the middle of the sea, it closed in on him in his
  27. 2:33final moments. As he was drowning, with water entering his throat, he cried out, "I believe that there is no god but God!" The one whom the Children of Israel believed in,
  28. 2:39but it was too late. The divine response came now, and you had disobeyed before and were among
  29. 2:46the corrupters. God saved his body and corpse so that he would be a sign and a lesson for every tyrant who comes after him, that
  30. 2:52God is the Truth. Qarun was from the people of Moses, meaning he was their cousin. God opened
  31. 2:58the doors of sustenance for this man in an unimaginable way. Imagine that his wealth was so vast that
  32. 3:03even the keys to the treasuries were difficult for a group of strong men to carry, so what about what was inside the treasuries? They went
  33. 3:09to him to advise him: Don't be happy, don't be arrogant, and be kind to people with your money as God has been kind to you. Qarun's response was
  34. 3:16the height of arrogance and ingratitude. He said: This money came to me thanks to my knowledge, cleverness, and intelligence. God
  35. 3:22had nothing to do with it. He was a "meddman," as they say. Not only that, but one day he went out in his finery in front of everyone, in
  36. 3:28his full finery and procession, to show off his power and money to humiliate the poor. People were divided.
  37. 3:34Those who wanted worldly things said: We wish we had what he has. Qarun, how fortunate he was! Those who knew
  38. 3:39said, "God's reward is better." At the height of his arrogance and pride, the earth split open. God commanded the earth to swallow him,
  39. 3:45his palace, and his wealth. Neither his servants nor his guards nor his riches could help him. He disappeared into the depths of the earth,
  40. 3:52and the people who had envied his position yesterday now say, "Thank God that Nimrod didn't cause the earth to swallow us up."
  41. 3:58Nimrod was a tyrannical king who ruled the world for a long time, and his power made him believe he was a god.
  42. 4:04Abraham, peace be upon him, confronted him, saying, "My Lord gives life and causes death." Nimrod brazenly replied, "I give life
  43. 4:10and cause death." To prove his foolish theory, he brought two prisoners sentenced to death, killed one,
  44. 4:16and pardoned the other, saying, "You see, I gave this one life and this one death." Abraham didn't engage in Byzantine-style arguments with him;
  45. 4:23he gave him a silencing argument, saying, "God brings the sun from the east, so bring it from the west." Here, Nimrod
  46. 4:29was speechless, unable to respond, because this was a cosmic power he couldn't claim. Despite the irrefutable proof,
  47. 4:35he persisted in his arrogance. His end was a mockery of fate. The king whose armies filled
  48. 4:41the earth was afflicted by a mosquito. A tiny mosquito entered his nose and reached his brain, causing him
  49. 4:48unbearable headaches and pain. He found no relief except by being struck on the head with a shoe (excuse the expression) to calm
  50. 4:54the mosquito. He lived as a testament to being beaten with shoes and died because of a trivial insect. Abu Lahab, the uncle of the Prophet Muhammad
  51. 5:00(peace be upon him), whose name was Abdul-Uzza, was nicknamed Abu Lahab because of his beauty and the redness of his face. He was very handsome,
  52. 5:07but instead of standing with his nephew and supporting him, he and his wife, Arwa, the mother of Jamil, were his fiercest enemies. He
  53. 5:12would follow the Prophet in the markets, and when the Prophet called people to Islam, Abu Lahab would say, "Don't believe him, he's
  54. 5:17a liar. I'm his uncle, I know him." Not content with this, he would harm the Prophet with words and deeds, and his wife would
  55. 5:24place thorns in his path. God revealed a complete chapter about him, to be recited until the Day of Judgment, a chapter that threatens
  56. 5:30him and his wife with Hellfire. Herein lies the challenge: the chapter was revealed while he was still alive, stating that he would be cast into Hellfire.
  57. 5:37He could have converted even if he lied to nullify the verse, but because of his great pride and stubbornness, he died an unbeliever, and
  58. 5:43the verse was fulfilled. He died from a contagious and repulsive disease similar to the plague. He died alone, and his children were afraid to approach
  59. 5:50him because of the infection, to the point that they left him in the house until his smell became unbearable. Then they threw death at him
  60. 5:55with water from afar and buried him with stones without touching him. His money and status did not benefit him, and he died an outcast.
  61. 6:01Abu Jahl, Amr ibn Hisham, known as Abu Jahl, was a leader of the leaders of Quraysh, a cunning man with wisdom and
  62. 6:07opinion, but the Prophet called him Abu Jahl because of his intense enmity towards the truth. He knew in his heart that Muhammad was truthful,
  63. 6:13but tribal pride prevented him. He used to say, “We and Banu Hashim have been vying for honor. They fed us, so we fed them, and they gave us drink, so
  64. 6:20we gave them drink. Until we were like two runners in a race, they said, ‘A prophet has arisen from among us to whom revelation comes.’ So when will we attain this?”
  65. 6:27By God, we will never believe in him. The matter was envy and rivalry, not a search for justice. Abu Jahl was the one who plotted
  66. 6:34to kill the Prophet, and he was the one who led the Companions, like Sumayyah and Yasir, astray in the Battle of Badr. He was the leader and instigator,
  67. 6:40and his end was very humiliating. He was killed by two young men from the Ansar, Mu'adh and Mu'awwidh, and then
  68. 6:47Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, whom Abu Jahl had oppressed in Mecca, finished him off. Ibn Mas'ud stood on his chest
  69. 6:52as he breathed his last, and Abu Jahl, still arrogant, said to him, "You have climbed a difficult path, O shepherd
  70. 6:59of the sheep!" He died a tyrant, and his lifeless carcass was thrown into the well of Badr. Al-Walid ibn al-Mughirah was
  71. 7:06a leader of the Quraysh, one of the most intelligent and eloquent of the Arabs. They called him the fragrant flower of the Quraysh. One day he went to the Prophet and heard
  72. 7:12the Quran from him. Al-Walid was an expert in language and knew immediately that this was not the speech of a human being. He returned to his people and said
  73. 7:18something dangerous: "By God, his words are sweet and eloquent, and they are not the words of a human being." The Quraysh were afraid and said, "
  74. 7:26If Al-Walid converts, all of the Quraysh will convert." Here, Abu Jahl, the devil in human form, intervened. He went to Al-Walid and struck
  75. 7:33a nerve, saying, "Uncle, your people are collecting money for you because they think you went to Muhammad (peace be
  76. 7:39upon him), hoping to win him over." Al-Walid became angry and said, "I am the richest among you in wealth and children." Abu Jahl said, "Then say
  77. 7:45something that will please your people." Al-Walid thought and considered, torn between truth and position and prestige.
  78. 7:52In the end, he chose prestige. He returned and said, "This is magic that affects God." God was furious with him because
  79. 7:59he knew the truth and denied it out of arrogance. Verses were revealed about him, threatening him with Hellfire and accurately describing his condition. Al-Walid died an unbeliever, losing
  80. 8:06both this world and the hereafter, and became an example of someone who sold his conscience to please people and maintain his
  81. 8:12social standing. Abraha al-Ashram: This story took place in the Year of the Elephant, the year in which our Prophet
  82. 8:18Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born. Abraha was the ruler of Yemen, a vassal of the Negus. He saw the Arabs making pilgrimage
  83. 8:24to the Kaaba in Mecca and venerating it. He thought with a business mindset and envy, saying, "Why does all this wealth
  84. 8:30go to Mecca? I will build..." A church in Yemen, the likes of which had never been seen before, compelled the Arabs to make pilgrimages to it.
  85. 8:35A magnificent church was built, named Al-Qalis, and adorned with gold and silver. However, the Arabs, by nature, had
  86. 8:42loyalty to the Kaaba. One of the Arabs went to this church and did something unclean within it,
  87. 8:47defecating there as a defilement. This enraged Abraha, who swore to go to Mecca and demolish the Kaaba stone by stone
  88. 8:53, wiping it off the face of the earth. He assembled a massive army, including huge elephants, the largest of which was named Mahmud, to
  89. 9:00use in trampling the Kaaba. When he reached the borders of Mecca, he encountered Abdul-Muttalib, the grandfather of the Prophet. The following dialogue
  90. 9:06ensued, recorded for posterity: Abdul-Muttalib asked Abraha to return the camels that the army had confiscated.
  91. 9:11Abraha replied , "I used to hold you in high esteem, but now you have fallen from my favor. I have come to destroy your house and your holy sites,
  92. 9:17and you ask me about camels?" Abdul-Muttalib's immortal response was, "I am the owner of the camels, and the House has a Lord who will protect it." Abraha insisted, "
  93. 9:23Your Lord cannot stop me." Abraha directed the elephant towards the Kaaba to demolish it, but
  94. 9:29to his surprise, the elephant Mahmud knelt down on the ground. He refused to take a single step towards the Kaaba. They struck him, they
  95. 9:35stabbed him, but to no avail. But when they directed him towards Yemen or Syria, he would trot and move. He was a speechless animal, yet
  96. 9:42he knew the sanctity of God's House better than humans. Suddenly, the sky darkened. God sent flocks of birds, each
  97. 9:49carrying small stones of hardened clay, baked in fire, in its beak and claws. The stones
  98. 9:55were small, but their effect was like piercing bullets. The stones would fall on the soldier, piercing
  99. 10:01his head until he emerged from beneath. The army crumbled and became like chaff scattered by the wind. Even the man himself was wounded and returned to Yemen,
  100. 10:08his body being torn to pieces before his eyes. He died a most gruesome death, and the Kaaba was preserved by the power of God
  101. 10:15alone. The tribe of 'Ad—these people were superhumans of their time, the inhabitants of Iram of the Pillars,
  102. 10:21the likes of which had never been created in the land. They were giants, their bodies enormous, and their strength unimaginable,
  103. 10:27to the point that they could carve houses from mountains and build palaces and fortresses that would not crumble. So
  104. 10:33confident were they in their muscles and strength that they became arrogant and uttered their famous phrase, "Who is mightier than us?" God sent
  105. 10:39them their prophet Hud, peace be upon him, to advise them, saying, "Remember God's favor upon you and do not be arrogant."
  106. 10:45But they mocked him, saying, "You Jews have not come to us with proof, and we will not abandon our gods
  107. 10:50for your words. If you are truthful, then bring us the punishment you promised." Suddenly, they saw a great cloud
  108. 10:56approaching on the horizon. They rejoiced, saying, "This is a rain-bearing cloud!" But he said to them, "No, this is what
  109. 11:02you were impatient for: a wind with a painful punishment." God sent upon them a violent wind for seven nights
  110. 11:08and eight days without ceasing. This wind was not natural; it would lift one of them, despite his size
  111. 11:13and strength, into the sky and hurl him to the ground until his head was severed from his body. God described them as being
  112. 11:20like hollow palm trunks, cut and discarded. Their strength, their fortresses, and their muscles were of no use to them against this.
  113. 11:27God destroyed them with one of His soldiers, which is the wind, to show them that all power belongs to God. Ubayy
  114. 11:33ibn Khalaf, Ubayy ibn Khalaf was one of the most extreme leaders of disbelief in Quraysh, and he was always threatening the Prophet, may
  115. 11:39God bless him and grant him peace, and saying, “I have a horse that I feed every day so that I can kill you on it.” One day he came to
  116. 11:44the Prophet with an old, decayed bone in his hand. He stood before the Prophet with all insolence and crumbled the bone with his hand until it became
  117. 11:50dust, and he blew in the face of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said mockingly, “O Muhammad, do you claim that God
  118. 11:56will resurrect this after it has become dust?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, replied with complete confidence and calmness, "Yes,
  119. 12:02God will resurrect him and resurrect you, then He will cast you into Hell." Days passed, and the Battle of Uhud took place. Ubayy ibn Khalaf was wearing
  120. 12:08full armor, protecting himself from the lash of his head. He was searching for the Prophet, intending to kill him. When the Companions approached,
  121. 12:14they tried to stop him, but the Prophet said, "Leave him be." The Prophet took his spear and threw it at him. The spear didn't cause a
  122. 12:20major wound, just a small scratch on his neck. Ubayy ibn Khalaf returned to his people screaming and writhing, saying, "Muhammad has killed me!"
  123. 12:27His people told him, "Man, you're fine. It's just a scratch. Don't be afraid." He replied in terror, "
  124. 12:32By God, if I hadn't told the people of this place, 'I will kill you,' they would all have died. By God, if he had spat
  125. 12:39on me, he would have killed me!" He died while still on his way to Mecca. He died from a small scratch and from terror and certainty in the truth of God's and His Messenger's warning.
  126. 12:47He knew that God is able to resurrect the dead and is able to cause death for the most trivial reason. The people of Thamud, the people
  127. 12:54of the Prophet Salih, lived in Al-Hijr, Madain Salih, north of Al-Ula. They carved luxurious houses from
  128. 12:59the mountains and lived in luxury. When the Prophet Salih called them, they asked him for an
  129. 13:04impossible miracle. They said, "Bring forth for us from this solid rock a she-camel with such and such characteristics," specifying precise details. They challenged
  130. 13:11God to create life from inanimate matter. God answered their call, and the rock split open, and
  131. 13:17the great she-camel of God appeared before their very eyes. Salih said to them, "This is God's she-camel for you. Let her graze in God's land.
  132. 13:23She has one day to drink from the well, and you have another day." But pride blinded them. They were upset that the she-camel drank
  133. 13:29their water on her designated day, so they decided to defy God's direct command. Their lover, a man named Qada ibn
  134. 13:35Salif, hamstrung the she-camel, and killed her and her calf. Not only that, but they went to Salih and said to him with utter
  135. 13:41audacity, "O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you are truly one of the messengers." Salih said to them, in a terrifying statement, "
  136. 13:47Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That is a promise not to be denied." Imagine the terror, a countdown to death. On the
  137. 13:55first day, their faces turned yellow; on the second, red; on the third, black. And... On the morning of the fourth day,
  138. 14:01a terrifying and earth-shattering cry came to them from the sky, tearing their hearts from their chests. They
  139. 14:08lay in their homes, as if they had never lived there. Their houses, which they had carved into the mountains for protection,
  140. 14:13became their graves. May God make us humble and not arrogant. Write below which
  141. 14:19story moved you the most, and don't forget to like and subscribe. See you soon, Aman.
