Full transcript
- 0:00Welcome everybody. We are going to be
- 0:02doing a workshop on how to function as a
- 0:05full-time content creator.
- 0:10Basically, we're going to go through a
- 0:12few different sections and some of these
- 0:13sections will be turned into their own
- 0:16workshops as well. So, they're going to
- 0:18be splintered off. So, for example, one
- 0:20of the sections is about editing. Um,
- 0:22and I'm gonna have a complete whole
- 0:25other workshop about just editing and
- 0:27like how to pick good clips, how to edit
- 0:29like for Tik Tok and virality and all
- 0:32that stuff like and I'm going to give
- 0:33you guys a bunch of assets. I actually
- 0:35posted a bunch of assets today in the
- 0:36resources. So, please check the
- 0:37resources. Yeah. So, those so that's
- 0:39going to be a whole thing too. So, I
- 0:41have I have a whole plan. I've been
- 0:42working on this all today. So, uh while
- 0:44I've been in pain, it's been giving me
- 0:46something to focus on. So, uh, we're
- 0:48going to go through all the sections
- 0:52first. [music] I'll tell you guys kind
- 0:53of what the itinerary is, and then from
- 0:57there, I'm going to first show you, I
- 1:01guess, my first tool of the trade,
- 1:03right? Which is uh the amazing planner
- 1:08that Tori has made all of us. And not
- 1:10only that, Tori has made all of us, but
- 1:12that is available on Kofhei for uh the
- 1:15low price of I believe $25. Um, so if
- 1:18you guys want your own autocalculating
- 1:20stat VTuber planner, check the link in
- 1:23the description because Tori would love
- 1:25your money. She's great. She's a great
- 1:27manager. So yeah, this Vtuber planner
- 1:28though is is obviously comes with all of
- 1:30your guys' um stuff, all of your guys'
- 1:33um management services, right? So this
- 1:35planner should have been Yeah. given to
- 1:37you about by Tori and it has like
- 1:39everything in it. I literally I'm sorry
- 1:42I'm make [laughter] I made myself zoom.
- 1:45That's so funny. God, I'm I love my
- 1:46editors. They deal with so much
- 1:48[ __ ] Okay, so I use it for
- 1:50literally
- 1:51everything. Like I this flannel planner
- 1:55planner is my holy grail truly and it's
- 1:59got everything in it. I'm going to go
- 2:00through it uh bit by bit when we get to
- 2:03the weekly process section for my weekly
- 2:07process. Also, this is going to be a
- 2:09long panel. Um so, I'm really sorry if
- 2:13this ends up being long. You don't have
- 2:14to stay the whole time. Again, it's
- 2:15being recorded, so don't panic. But it
- 2:18is going to be long, so grab a snack,
- 2:20buckle up, and if you have questions,
- 2:22just throw them right in the chat, and I
- 2:25will answer them when it like when it
- 2:28makes sense. something completely
- 2:29unrelated and I'm going to cover it
- 2:30later. I'll just be like, "Hold that
- 2:31thought." And then I'll answer it later
- 2:32and then I'll write it down so I don't
- 2:34forget. [laughter]
- 2:35So, clap sections. What are they? First
- 2:39one, uh, the mindset and foundation. So,
- 2:41we're going to go through uh basically
- 2:43the mindset shift between a hobby
- 2:46content creator and a full-time content
- 2:48creator and like what it means to be a
- 2:52full-time content creator or like a
- 2:55streamer TM or a public figure versus
- 2:59being a hobby creator or doing this for
- 3:02fun. Two, we're going to go through
- 3:03weekly workflow. So, how I break down my
- 3:06week, how I plan my posts, [music]
- 3:08the type of posts that I might plan, how
- 3:11I balance my like admin time versus my
- 3:14stream time versus my creative time, how
- 3:16I organize anything, everything, how I
- 3:18stay consistent, etc., etc. All of that
- 3:20stuff we're going to cover. Content
- 3:22planning, we're going to go over um so
- 3:24like the different like different kinds
- 3:25of content pillars you can use,
- 3:27algorithms, stuff like that.
- 3:29pre-production stuff. So, um prepping
- 3:32for streams appropriately
- 3:35uh and getting your your assets ready
- 3:37and then all also some tools for you to
- 3:40be a bit more consist consistent. So,
- 3:43I'm going to go through all of my like
- 3:45OBS plugins,
- 3:47uh how to use Mix It Up, stuff like
- 3:49that. I'm not going to go super
- 3:50in-depth, but like I'll tell I'll show
- 3:52you that they exist and like [music] how
- 3:53they work. Next is uh my recording and
- 3:55streaming process. I'm going to go
- 3:57through I guess how I set up my
- 3:59environment. Um you know how I go
- 4:02through my streaming setup. So I about
- 4:0520 minutes before stream I have a
- 4:07routine and I find that routine is very
- 4:09helpful for me kind of like doing things
- 4:11efficiently as part of my like weekly
- 4:13rotation. So I'm going to show you guys
- 4:15like how I set up for that. Also how I
- 4:17structure my streams and how I act
- 4:20during a stream is also very important
- 4:22and leads into like the monetization
- 4:24section as well. and uh good chat
- 4:27engagement. Um maybe some commands you
- 4:29guys can use, that kind of stuff. We're
- 4:31going to go through editing and
- 4:32repurposing. So, how I repurpose shorts
- 4:34or clips for multiple different
- 4:38platforms, things like that. Posting and
- 4:41scheduling, how I um actually do my
- 4:44posts and schedule all my posts. How to
- 4:46read your analytics, which is super
- 4:48important. How to read your analytics
- 4:50and what they actually mean. and also
- 4:52when to ignore those analytics and just
- 4:55actually be creative. We're also going
- 4:57to go through community and engagement.
- 4:58So, how to actually build a community as
- 5:01opposed to just stream to the wind and
- 5:03hope someone shows up. How to be moni
- 5:05how to monetize yourself and how to be
- 5:06sustainable. So, diversifying your
- 5:08income between Twitch, YouTube, etc.
- 5:10Shifting your idea from like begging to
- 5:13being a virtual busker because they're
- 5:15two very different things, you know, cuz
- 5:16a lot of people feel like they're
- 5:17begging their audience, which is not
- 5:19what's happening. And then the last
- 5:20section we're going to go through is
- 5:22self-care and longevity, which is
- 5:24actually going to be its whole own
- 5:27workshop on self-care and longevity and
- 5:30how to maintain consistency through
- 5:32burnout. So yeah, that's that is the
- 5:36itinerary. So we have a lot to cover.
- 5:38It's going to I told you it's going to
- 5:39be a long one. Um but I I'm here to for
- 5:42my brain to be picked. Okay, first thing
- 5:44that I really want to talk about [music]
- 5:46is the mindset and foundation of who you
- 5:51are as a streamer and how that changes
- 5:55when you are a smaller content creator
- 5:58that is doing it as a hobby versus when
- 6:01you are your plan is to do it for a
- 6:04living, right? Because there is a shift
- 6:06in mentality, right? And the shift in
- 6:08mentality becomes because once you have
- 6:11to do it for monetary reasons, right?
- 6:13It's no longer about passion. It's about
- 6:16can you maintain your passion through
- 6:18the burnout, through the hard times,
- 6:20right? And I think the passion is really
- 6:23important. You need to know why you're
- 6:26creating what you create. You need to
- 6:29define your why. What are you making?
- 6:32And what do you what what do you want to
- 6:34elicit from people? Do you want to
- 6:36educate people? Do you want to make them
- 6:38laugh? Do you want to scare them? Do you
- 6:40want to, you know, tell a story? Like,
- 6:44what is the purpose of your content? And
- 6:47what is your content? Because I got to
- 6:49be honest, you guys, and I told you I'd
- 6:51be real with you. Remember, I got to be
- 6:52honest, you guys. A lot of y'all be
- 6:54streaming and you're just streaming like
- 6:56Repo and Peak and just whatever the [ __ ]
- 6:59the collab game of the month is, and
- 7:01you're expecting to grow. And that's
- 7:03just it's not going to happen. And
- 7:05that's not how it works, right? And I'm
- 7:06going to talk about collabs and how
- 7:08they're kind of bad for your growth
- 7:09later, but that's a hot take I have, but
- 7:11we'll talk about that in a second. Um,
- 7:13but you got to if you don't have a a
- 7:16reason as for for for why you do what
- 7:19you do and you don't have a passion to
- 7:22do what you do or a reason, you're not
- 7:25going to like it's not going to happen,
- 7:27right? You need to have that reason. And
- 7:29sometimes it's hard to find that reason,
- 7:30but eventually eventually you have to
- 7:33figure it out, right? And that can shift
- 7:36too, right? Like how many people started
- 7:38off as, you know, one type of content
- 7:40creator and then became a different one,
- 7:42right? So that doesn't mean it can it
- 7:43has to like stay the same forever, but
- 7:46you have to at least have a starting
- 7:48point of what you want from this, right?
- 7:50The second thing, when you shift from
- 7:52being a hobby creator to a full-time
- 7:57creator, your focus needs to change from
- 8:02someone that is just like, well, that's
- 8:06the thing, right? Like, if you're just
- 8:07playing games for fun, right? You can't
- 8:10It totally depends what you want out of
- 8:12this, [music] right? And if the purpose
- 8:14of your streaming, right, or of your
- 8:17content creation is to go full-time and
- 8:21make a living from it, you can't just
- 8:24play games for fun and play what you
- 8:26want. You just can't. I'm sorry to say,
- 8:28you guys, variety VTuber or variety
- 8:32streamers, they're bad words. Throw them
- 8:34out of your vocabulary. Take variety
- 8:36streamer, break it in half, and throw it
- 8:38in the garbage. Okay? Calling yourself a
- 8:41variety streamer is one of the worst
- 8:43things you can do because it is it
- 8:46literally puts you in a box of 300,000
- 8:50other people who are like I'm a variety
- 8:51streamer. So is everybody else like
- 8:54doesn't help you, right? What you need
- 8:56to do is you need to define who you are
- 8:58and what you do. What makes you unique?
- 9:01What makes you interesting? Right? Cuz
- 9:03if somebody asked me right like right
- 9:06now, if somebody asked me what is your
- 9:08thing, what do you do? I can tell them
- 9:10I'm Aky the ephiest jackaloupe in the
- 9:12north. I play Souls games, love
- 9:14Warhammer, and talk about pro wrestling
- 9:16and I help people with VTuber tips on
- 9:18Twitter. That's it. That's me in a
- 9:20nutshell right there. I can tell you in
- 9:21one sentence exactly who I am, what my
- 9:24content is and what I bring to the
- 9:26table. And that is how concise you need
- 9:28to be. Like that is you need to identify
- 9:31and like figure out your brand. You know
- 9:34what you offer that finding that brand,
- 9:37right? You need to also set realistic
- 9:40goals for yourself, right? So those
- 9:43realistic goals, it is better to be to
- 9:46say something like I'm going to post one
- 9:49short every day. It's better to say that
- 9:52than say my goal is to one day go viral
- 9:55because one has no there's no value
- 9:58attached to that. There's no number.
- 9:59There's no there's no like physical
- 10:01attainable thing that you can look at
- 10:03and be like I can get there, right? It's
- 10:05just a I hope I go viral one day.
- 10:07Whereas if your goal is one short per
- 10:10day, that is something actually
- 10:13attainable that you can work towards
- 10:15every day. Do you know what I mean? So
- 10:17that is a very uh helpful thing to that
- 10:21I have found at least to shift my
- 10:23mindset. That's kind of like my intro to
- 10:25this is that it's a really big mind mind
- 10:27shift, right? So, if if you want to do
- 10:30this as a full-time thing and as a
- 10:33career, you really need to shift your
- 10:35mindset from I'm just doing this for fun
- 10:38to hang out with my friends and I want
- 10:40to have fun TM and okay, but this is a
- 10:43job though. [laughter]
- 10:44You know what I mean? Do you know how
- 10:46many times I've played shitty games on
- 10:48stream that I hated, but I did them
- 10:50anyways because either one, my chat
- 10:52wanted me to and they literally donated
- 10:55for me to do it or because it was it was
- 10:58good for my numbers at the time. You
- 11:00know what I mean? Like dude, like we're
- 11:02streamers. I I'll bring this up again
- 11:03when we go to monetization, but we are
- 11:05virtual buskers. If anyone doesn't know
- 11:08what a busker is, uh, editor, if you can
- 11:11put in a little thing about what a
- 11:12busker is. Um, but buskers are basically
- 11:15people who shows on the street. So like
- 11:18mimes, for example, um, or musicians or
- 11:23stuff like that. They're entertainers,
- 11:24right? They're people who are like,
- 11:26"Hey, I'm here doing my entertainment
- 11:28thing. If you like me, throw some
- 11:30pennies in my guitar case and say
- 11:32thanks." And that's it, right? But a lot
- 11:34of people don't feel that way. A lot of
- 11:36people feel like, "Oh, I can't ask my
- 11:38audience for anything. I'm not allowed
- 11:39to ask for donations. I'm not allowed to
- 11:41ask for their pennies cuz I didn't do
- 11:43anything." But you are doing something.
- 11:45You're entertaining your audience,
- 11:47right? [music] And that has value.
- 11:49Entertainment has value. That's why
- 11:51actors have jobs. First thing I'm going
- 11:52to do is uh go through my weekly
- 11:55workflow and how I structure my Tori
- 11:58planner and uh how I go through my week.
- 12:02So, this is my lovely Tory planner. I've
- 12:08made it a little bit fancier. Little
- 12:10fancier.
- 12:11And I also have a bunch of my tabs
- 12:14filled in. Okay. So, the way I
- 12:17structured my to-do list, uh, so the way
- 12:20I cuz I I I've edited my to-do list a
- 12:22little bit. Um, the way I've edited my
- 12:23to-do list, I'll show you my my filters.
- 12:26So the default to-do list uh one moment
- 12:30looks like so this is the original Tori
- 12:33planner. Okay. So the original one looks
- 12:35like this right. So the way that I do it
- 12:38is I will uh I'll remove the date from
- 12:41here and then I will add a filter
- 12:44[music] and then click done and then
- 12:46click unchecked so that only things that
- 12:50are unchecked will be here and when I
- 12:53click done they go away. So, it makes it
- 12:55nice and easy for me. And [music] then
- 12:57the way I made it category split because
- 13:00I have different categories up here,
- 13:02[music] right? That splits my my to-do
- 13:04list. So, if you want to do different
- 13:05categories, I went in here and then I
- 13:08went to properties and then I added a
- 13:10new property. [music] Sorry, I'm blind.
- 13:13And then I went to text here and I
- 13:15called it category. So now if I add a
- 13:19new page, a new task, right? [music] and
- 13:22I want to put a category. I can say,
- 13:24let's say I wanted to use a cherry
- 13:27blossom as one of the categories, right?
- 13:29I just put a cherry blossom emoji in
- 13:30there. And [music] then I can duplicate
- 13:33this view. And we can rename it to, I
- 13:37don't know, personal. [music]
- 13:38So this is personal tasks. And then here
- 13:41we add a new filter. Oopsies. Ah, here
- 13:44we go. A new filter where category
- 13:47contains cherry. Wait, hang on. what's
- 13:51it called? Sorry, I have to grab the
- 13:52emoji. Copy. Category contains cherry
- 13:55blossom. So then if I make if I
- 13:58duplicate this again and let's say I
- 14:01wanted to make this I don't know house
- 14:05stuff. Then I can go into here. Let's
- 14:09make a new task. And then let's say I
- 14:12wanted to use this house emoji. Sure. I
- 14:16could go to house stuff and I can check
- 14:18the filters, right? And I could add
- 14:20filter category house. So then here
- 14:24it'll show me both tasks. So house task,
- 14:28stream task, right? And then when I go
- 14:32to the different tabs, I have stream
- 14:34task and I [music] have house task. So I
- 14:37feel like uh this is a very good way to
- 14:41separate your oopsies. Separate your
- 14:45tasks so that you can kind of
- 14:48compartmentalize a little bit. So the
- 14:49way it ends up looking is so for example
- 14:52like I have my personal one here, right?
- 14:54So this is my my personal [music] tasks.
- 14:56I have Vcharmms here, right? I have
- 14:59stuff I'm doing for other people, right?
- 15:01[music] I have paid commissions. I have
- 15:04upcoming tasks. I can look at my my
- 15:06calendar. And then I have this week. And
- 15:08so this task list [music] very helpful.
- 15:10You can also make a new task with all
- 15:12the quick ad but buttons that Tori put
- 15:14in. Very good. So definitely recommend
- 15:16using the planner. other than showing
- 15:18you how to update the tasks, [music]
- 15:20uh this is how I do it. So, first I uh
- 15:23kind of take inventory of the things
- 15:24that I need to do for the week. So, I go
- 15:26to my content hub and the content hub
- 15:29will have uh you have a sneak peek of my
- 15:31new design here. Haha. Editor, if you
- 15:33could blur this out so YouTube doesn't
- 15:36leak. This is where you put your kind of
- 15:38content pillars and Yes, that is me.
- 15:41Your content. This is going to be my
- 15:422026 design. Spoilers here. You know
- 15:44what? It we'll take a we'll take a a
- 15:46second. I'll show you the my VTuber
- 15:47page. So, this is how my VTuber pages
- 15:49set up or whatever, but [music] this is
- 15:51how I have it set up. And then I have
- 15:53all my branding pages. And then the nice
- 15:56thing about the my VTuber page is that
- 15:58uh for your art, you [music] can put the
- 16:00art right in there and then have the
- 16:02artist like linked, you know what I
- 16:04mean? It's like very convenient. Thank
- 16:06you. I appreciate it you guys. I
- 16:08appreciate it. Also, I appreciate the
- 16:10love uh on the rigging of my model. very
- 16:12much loved my my rig artists. My rig
- 16:15artists [music] are amazing. I'm very
- 16:17very particular about my mouth rigging.
- 16:19But yeah, so this is where uh you want
- 16:21to put this is very important to fill
- 16:23in. And we'll go we'll go for something
- 16:27like this. I have like a worksheet that
- 16:29you can use, but we'll go for something
- 16:31like this after. But basically, you just
- 16:33want to nail down what your audience is
- 16:35as and what your niche is so that it
- 16:37will help you plan for the week. So this
- 16:39is where I do all my post planning. So
- 16:41the way I do my posts is I schedule
- 16:46basically all of my posts, basically all
- 16:48of them. I use uh currently the social
- 16:52media scheduler called Bplan. So Bplan
- 16:56is a uh social media scheduler that I
- 16:59[music] am actually partnered with. I
- 17:02work uh incredibly closely with the dev
- 17:05for new features and I'm going to be his
- 17:07first ambassador for the ambassador
- 17:09program. So, I'm trying to get uh people
- 17:11to use it uh not only to obviously help
- 17:14them uh but also to give him feedback,
- 17:17right? So, if you guys are interested in
- 17:18being part of the test, I use it every
- 17:21day and I have very little problems with
- 17:23it. So, I'm having a great time with it.
- 17:25The other alternative that you can use
- 17:27to these is things like uh there's
- 17:29Fidicia and then there is Buffer.
- 17:32Fidicia I prefer because it's cheaper
- 17:35and it gives you more analytics. So
- 17:38that's the other alternative. Uh so the
- 17:40only thing that Bplan doesn't have right
- 17:41now is Tik Tok and that's only because
- 17:44we're waiting on Tik Tok to approve our
- 17:46dev tools. So once Tik Tok approves the
- 17:49dev tools, we should be good to go. But
- 17:52until they do that, it won't let us post
- 17:54videos. So oopies. But yeah. Oh, it was
- 17:56threads. That's fine. I have a question
- 17:57about view plan. Yes, I have an answer.
- 17:59I have an answer. Hopefully. I think I
- 18:01do.
- 18:03No, I think that's 10 [music] schedule.
- 18:05Like you can only schedule 10 posts at a
- 18:07time, I think is what it is. Oh my god,
- 18:09there's I don't know who's banning
- 18:11accounts. I've never heard of an account
- 18:13being banned because of a scheduler. If
- 18:15they're if you're being banned because
- 18:17of a scheduler, there's something else
- 18:19[music] going on with their content
- 18:20because that's not a thing. Schedulers,
- 18:23yeah, schedulers don't they they don't
- 18:25affect the algorithm. They don't affect
- 18:27literally anything. It's all hearsay.
- 18:30It's all nonsense. U they don't affect
- 18:32anything. What happens is they have
- 18:34their own API that is approved by all of
- 18:36the social media platforms. You have to
- 18:38actually apply to get your API approved.
- 18:42So if they are not approved in the
- 18:44system, they cannot post for you. So
- 18:47they have to be approved by all of these
- 18:49different platforms. It it takes weeks
- 18:51to get approved. We're literally waiting
- 18:53on Tik Tok right now. But yeah, it
- 18:54doesn't uh it doesn't affect anything
- 18:57and it doesn't affect your algorithm
- 18:58either. Uh cuz the API it posts from uh
- 19:00posts as mobile. But yeah, so this is
- 19:02how I post. So I have certain types
- 19:04[music] of posts that go out every day,
- 19:08right? And truly, I very rarely use
- 19:11social media outside of these posts
- 19:14because I'm going to be real with you
- 19:15guys. I'm old. [laughter] I'm 30. I'm an
- 19:18old bag. I don't like social media. It's
- 19:22stinky. So I try and just schedule
- 19:26everything. And honestly, [music]
- 19:28a lot of people will be like, "That
- 19:30doesn't work. It's very robotic. First
- 19:32of all, it's not robotic, especially if
- 19:34you're literally still answering reply.
- 19:36Like, you're still replying and it's
- 19:37still content you're making. It's you're
- 19:39just scheduling it. And second of all,
- 19:41it's easier for your mental health
- 19:42because you can batch schedule, which is
- 19:44what I do. I literally pick one day a
- 19:46week that I just schedule my posts for
- 19:48like one or two weeks and then I'm just
- 19:49done and I don't have to look at social
- 19:51media for the rest of my [ __ ] life,
- 19:52right? You know what I mean? I don't
- 19:54have to look at it. And it's very
- 19:56helpful. [music] Uh, not only that, but
- 19:58it builds consistency. So, for those of
- 20:01you that didn't see my next video, let
- 20:02me explain a little bit how algorith let
- 20:05me explain a little bit about how
- 20:06algorithms work in general or so that I
- 20:09can explain why I post the way I do.
- 20:11Algorithms as a whole, as a concept, are
- 20:16math equations that look [music] for
- 20:18patterns in data. So, think about that
- 20:20for a moment. Math equations that look
- 20:22for patterns in data. So they are
- 20:25equations that are searching your
- 20:28content for those patterns. [music]
- 20:30So you as the creator need to give the
- 20:35algorithm the pattern for the algorithm
- 20:38to follow. Okay? So let me give you an
- 20:40example. If you say that you are a I
- 20:43don't [ __ ] know Warhammer creator,
- 20:45right? If you say you're a Warhammer
- 20:46creator, but all you post on Twitter is
- 20:49retweets, [music] sad posts, complaining
- 20:52that you have no viewers, and absolutely
- 20:54nothing about Warhammer, Twitter is not
- 20:56going to Twitter or any social media
- 20:58like that you're using is not going to
- 20:59feed you to those people. It's going to
- 21:01feed you to people who want to feed into
- 21:02that content cuz that's how algorithms
- 21:04work cuz you're giving the pattern.
- 21:06You're giving the data, right? So,
- 21:08you're teaching it wrong. It's not the
- 21:10algorithm that's failing you. You're
- 21:11failing the algorithm, guys. You know
- 21:13what I mean? like you got to give it the
- 21:15data. I was going to say I'm not going
- 21:16to discuss the the whole uh Twitter
- 21:18changing the algorithm thing because uh
- 21:21I don't believe in catastrophizing
- 21:23before we know things uh personally
- 21:25because everyone is doing I I listen
- 21:28I'll talk about the whole Twitch thing
- 21:29too. The whole thing with Twitch
- 21:30lurkers. Twitch is not not counting
- 21:32lurkers. I'm just going to clarify that
- 21:34Twitch is not not counting lurkers. I'm
- 21:36just going to [music] explain that as a
- 21:37side thing. Just going to go to Google.
- 21:39Okay. How do viewbots work? Okay. And if
- 21:42we look at literally the summary, how
- 21:44views function simulating viewers
- 21:47simulates viewer behavior. They use
- 21:49proxy servers or VPNs to mask their
- 21:51origin. To avoid detections, bots
- 21:53deliver views at controlled speed rather
- 21:55than all at once. And some operations
- 21:57use bot farms [music] and they're actual
- 21:59computers and some of them can even
- 22:01generate chat messages, right? People
- 22:04don't realize, right, that these view
- 22:07bots are a problem, but not just because
- 22:12people are buying view bots. Okay,
- 22:14[music] these view bots are a problem
- 22:16because once they are purchased, they
- 22:19are an account in the Twitch ecosystem
- 22:22that continues to function. So, if
- 22:25somebody raids you and and was botted,
- 22:29you are now botted. And when you raid
- 22:31someone else, they are now botted. Do
- 22:33you see what I'm saying? So, part of the
- 22:35reason that a lot of people are seeing
- 22:37this dip in views is because Twitch
- 22:39cleared out a lot of those bot accounts.
- 22:42So, and a lot of people are upset,
- 22:44right? It spreads like a virus. Exa.
- 22:46Exactly. And a lot of people are upset
- 22:48because they see their viewership drop
- 22:50and they're like, "But they're real
- 22:51viewers." Cuz it says viewers in chat.
- 22:53And what I keep wanting to shake people
- 22:55and say is one, viewers in chat versus
- 22:58viewers watching stream has been two
- 23:01different metrics for 5 years. Okay?
- 23:03Two, I'm not saying there's a not a
- 23:06drop, but you also need to address the
- 23:08fact that a lot of those viewers might
- 23:10not have even been real to begin with.
- 23:13And the fact that third-p partyy
- 23:16extensions also affect whether Twitch is
- 23:19viewing you as a viewer. So do ad
- 23:22blockers, which is not a Twitch unique
- 23:24problem. That's a YouTube problem, too,
- 23:26right? People need to all stop
- 23:30catastrophizing. And this is another
- 23:32thing that frustrates me a little bit as
- 23:33well, is that there's a lot of
- 23:35viewership count doesn't go up that
- 23:37fast. Okay? In order for someone to be
- 23:39counted as a viewer, they need to be
- 23:41watching the stream for at least 2 to 4
- 23:44minutes. [music] They probably started
- 23:46yapping 2 to 3 minutes beforehand and
- 23:48then it started to go up. Do you know
- 23:49what I'm saying? Like, yeah, I'm not
- 23:50denying that it went up, but it it
- 23:52wasn't instant and it wasn't instant.
- 23:55You know what I mean? Cuz there is a
- 23:56delay. So, I just I I don't I don't feel
- 23:59like that. Like, correlation does not
- 24:00equal causation is all I'm saying.
- 24:02That's all I'm saying. Correlation does
- 24:04not equal causation. I'm not saying that
- 24:06numbers aren't down. I'm just saying I
- 24:08don't think numbers are down because
- 24:13they're not counting lurkers. I don't
- 24:14think that's the case. I don't think
- 24:15it's the fact that they're not counting
- 24:16lurkers at all. Actually, I don't think
- 24:18that's the case at all. I think it's a
- 24:21bunch of factors and I think
- 24:22fundamentally what it comes down to is
- 24:25advertisers not wanting to pay for
- 24:29viewers that are not watching the stream
- 24:32fundamentally, right? They don't want to
- 24:34play. Like straight up, guys,
- 24:36advertisers don't want to pay if you're
- 24:37not watching their ads, right? If you're
- 24:39not sitting there watching the stream,
- 24:41if you have it, if you have 17 streams
- 24:43up in seven tabs, you're not watching
- 24:45their ads, they don't want to pay for
- 24:46that, right? And you have to think about
- 24:48it from a business perspective. That's
- 24:49not a reasonable thing for them to pay
- 24:51for, right? So like let's have a little
- 24:53bit of forethought. I know this is going
- 24:55to get me some hate, but like come on.
- 24:57Like we got to work within the system
- 24:58here, you know? But yeah, and it's true.
- 25:01A lot of you're right. A lot of browsers
- 25:02also have like an auto sleep mode as
- 25:04well. Yeah. And yeah, and that's the
- 25:06thing. A lot of people are spewing just
- 25:08straight up lies and like
- 25:09catastrophizing and it's being very
- 25:11frustrating. So, uh, and I know all of
- 25:14this stuff for a fact because I've
- 25:16spoken to Twitch staff myself about this
- 25:19issue. I actually spoke to them about
- 25:20this back in January before it even
- 25:23became a problem in my interview with
- 25:25them when I interviewed them for my
- 25:27guide. So, this is not that's why I know
- 25:29that it's true. Um, but of course, all I
- 25:32can say is, "Oh, well, yeah, I talked to
- 25:34a guy." You know what I mean? So, like I
- 25:36that's all I got. Um, but you can also
- 25:38talk to a guy. Anyone who's part of the
- 25:39Twitch creator club, all I did was make
- 25:41a ticket. So [music] like, you know,
- 25:43it's not impossible. I I'm not I'm no
- 25:44one special. You know what I mean? But
- 25:46anyways, I I digress. So analytics, you
- 25:49have to make these patterns for, like I
- 25:51said, for for the the algorithm to
- 25:53follow, right? You have to make these
- 25:54patterns. So in order to make these
- 25:56patterns, we have to make posts. We have
- 25:58to give the algorithm data. [music] So
- 26:01let's let's give the algorithm some
- 26:02data. So what are some posts that that
- 26:04we can make, right? So I have my good
- 26:06mornings, [music] right? And my good
- 26:07mornings usually look like this. So,
- 26:09they're usually like, you know, some
- 26:11good morning with a cute little thingy
- 26:12and then some stupid little message. And
- 26:15then this is my hashtags for Instagram.
- 26:17And then this is the picture. And then
- 26:19when I want to make it a post, I'll just
- 26:21go into B plan. Here I have one that's
- 26:23ready to post. Perfect. I'll go into B
- 26:25plan. And then I'll go to ideas. We're
- 26:29going to go good morning. [music] And
- 26:30then I just copy from here. And then I
- 26:33grab my hashtags. And then I can just go
- 26:35here and go copy image because notion
- 26:38[music] saves the full image. Saves the
- 26:42full image. So you can literally just
- 26:44copy it right from there. Copy here.
- 26:47Threads Instagram. And then you can also
- 26:49post to Discord 3 plan as well, which is
- 26:52very cool. Very, very, very cool. So if
- 26:54I wanted to, I can. Yeah, let's do it.
- 26:56Egging news. Why not? We'll do a good
- 26:58morning. And then on [music] Twitter,
- 27:01you can also set it to repost. So, I
- 27:02usually set it to repost at a custom
- 27:04interval of about 3 to 4 hours. So,
- 27:07usually for my good morning post, I do 3
- 27:09hours. And then literally, it's done.
- 27:11And then I just go save and close. And
- 27:13then because it's tagged good mornings,
- 27:15when I put it in ready and I go draft or
- 27:18if I go post planner, excuse me. And
- 27:20let's say I wanted to put a good
- 27:21morning, right? [music] I have these
- 27:23preset in Bplan, right? To put specific
- 27:27things with specific tags here. So, I
- 27:29can literally just go quickfill and
- 27:30it'll quickfill good mornings. So, it'll
- 27:33do the first seven good mornings or
- 27:35whatever, it'll just autofill, right?
- 27:37So, if I do a tip of the day, it'll
- 27:38autofill my tips of the day. So, I can
- 27:40pre-plan like a week in advance and
- 27:42it'll just fully fill everything. It's
- 27:44so good and fast. Yeah. If you go
- 27:46posting slots, you can see here 9:00
- 27:48a.m. 2:00 p.m. 9:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. 9:00
- 27:51a.m. 2:00 p.m. See what I mean? And then
- 27:53we have formats here. tip of the day,
- 27:55shorts, good mornings, all my my [music]
- 27:58stuff. Yeah, it's fantastic. No, so Oh,
- 28:01yeah. So, these good times to post
- 28:03things, these are included in V plan.
- 28:04So, these show it this shows it to you.
- 28:07So, if you want to make posts outside of
- 28:09your regular posts, you can also just be
- 28:11like, "Ooh, this is a good time
- 28:13apparently according to my engagement."
- 28:15Let me quick create a post here. So,
- 28:16like let's say I wanted to actually
- 28:18let's do a post right here. So,
- 28:20Wednesday I'm doing Yeah. a collab with
- 28:23Sai. Sure. So, I'm doing a collab with
- 28:25Sai. So, let me show you how I would go
- 28:27through making a post from start to
- 28:30finish about this collab with [music]
- 28:31Sai. Okay. So, first of all, we're going
- 28:34to need a photo to go with the post
- 28:36[music] as well as the post itself cuz
- 28:38all I have is the date, right? So, let's
- 28:40do it. And yes, this does manage
- 28:42multiple accounts. Mhm. [music] So, what
- 28:44you can do here, let me show you. So, I
- 28:46have my own account. So, this is my
- 28:48personal account or my VTuber account. I
- 28:50have Vcharmms, right? So, this is
- 28:51Vcharm's account. So, if you see all of
- 28:54our posts here, right? And then I have
- 28:56my art account that I can post on here
- 28:58as well. And then, uh, they're all
- 29:00separate and they're all maintained and
- 29:02you can do a bunch of different accounts
- 29:04on each profile. So, like I could have
- 29:06like a bunch of accounts for Mimi, a
- 29:08bunch of accounts for VC Charm, a bunch
- 29:09of accounts for Eggy, you know what I
- 29:10mean? So, it's pretty cool. So, uh, what
- 29:13I use to make my, uh, thumbnails us and
- 29:16my posts is, uh, Affinity Designer,
- 29:18which is one of the programs that I put
- 29:20in the resources that I sent you guys.
- 29:23So, I have an old version of it, so it
- 29:24might look a little different, but I
- 29:26know a lot of people use Canva, but I
- 29:28ain't like that. I like knowing how to
- 29:30make my own stuff. So, we need
- 29:31thumbnails. So, I need to delete some of
- 29:34these old ones. Oh my god. Like, I don't
- 29:35need that one. And that one. I might
- 29:38keep this one cuz it's really good. I
- 29:40don't need this one either. Yeah. Okay,
- 29:41we'll keep these two. So, we have
- 29:43thumbnails, right? So, this is how I do
- 29:45my thumbnails. So, like this one I made
- 29:47from scratch, right? And I literally
- 29:49just use thumbnail parts and random
- 29:52[ __ ] It like random things in Affinity
- 29:55Designer, [music] right? But, uh, yeah.
- 29:57Or Photoshop. Photoshop works. Yeah, I
- 29:59like Affinity Designer because it does
- 30:02nicer vector work and I hate Adobe. So,
- 30:05if I can find an alternative to Adobe at
- 30:06literally any any turn, I will. So, uh,
- 30:09the way I kind of went through and I'll
- 30:10kind of replicate. You know what? I'll
- 30:12I'll I'll replicate this similar
- 30:14thumbnail. So, let's say I wanted to
- 30:15make a thumbnail for Cyphere, right? Me
- 30:17and Cipphere. So, this is kind of my
- 30:19usual thumbnail style, but I want to do
- 30:22something a little bit different, but I
- 30:24do like the background. So, let's take
- 30:26the background here. Going to do that.
- 30:28There. We're going to grab I literally
- 30:30already have a screenshot of me and Sai.
- 30:34Where the freak is it? Here it is. Right
- 30:36here it is. I like putting us in the
- 30:38corner. I think it's fun. And then uh
- 30:41we're doing Monster Hunter World. There
- 30:44we go. Doing Monster Hunter World. So I
- 30:47just go here. Sorry. This Affinity
- 30:49Designer is basically a mixture of
- 30:53what's it called? Illustrator and
- 30:55Photoshop together. [music] It's very
- 30:57similar to Photoshop though and Clip
- 30:59Studio. Okay. So Photo P as well. Yeah,
- 31:02that's another option. Um, I personally,
- 31:04like I said, I personally prefer photo
- 31:06designer just cuz I like it. So, I just
- 31:08copy this. You can literally just press
- 31:09copy, paste, Monster Hunter World, and
- 31:12then we just find a spot for it. You
- 31:15know what? I might Oh, yeah. That looks
- 31:16better. There we go. And then this can
- 31:18be smaller. I'm trying I try to make the
- 31:21the logo bigger because at the end of
- 31:23the day, people are going to notice the
- 31:24logo cuz nobody knows who you are, you
- 31:27know? People are going to see the logo
- 31:30of the game and then want to play the
- 31:31game, right? I wish Sigh wasn't so
- 31:35large. [laughter] I'll just put it in
- 31:37the middle. It's fine. We'll make it
- 31:38work. Perfect. Okay. And then I will
- 31:40just uh do this and then go here. Do a
- 31:44little outline. White outline. Yeah. Or
- 31:47you can also do that. Yeah. I just grab
- 31:48a bon line cuz to be honest, I I'm lazy.
- 31:51[music] I'm I'm a a creature of creature
- 31:53of convenience. There we go. Just put a
- 31:56little shadow on it. I always do outer
- 31:58shadow for the logo and then outline and
- 32:03outer shadow for the like background.
- 32:06[music]
- 32:07There we go. And then there we go. And
- 32:10then if you want to add more, you can
- 32:13add more stuff. So like for example uh
- 32:17you know maybe uh like an exclamation
- 32:19point or something. Uh and you can get
- 32:21on [music] what's it called? Uh booth.
- 32:24That that was the word. Booth. You can
- 32:27get on booth thumbnail parts and stuff
- 32:30that you can use to just literally like
- 32:33frames like stuff like that. Um, and you
- 32:36can get them on booth and they're like
- 32:38really cheap. They're like a dollar or
- 32:39two, you know what I mean? Pretty
- 32:41[music] inexpensive and they just, you
- 32:43know, add some little something
- 32:45something. So, like for this one, maybe
- 32:48I maybe I [music] add some of these, you
- 32:50know, and then we give it a little
- 32:52transparency, you know? Yeah. Like if
- 32:55you want to if you want to find stuff
- 32:57like this, I would definitely check
- 32:58Booth. Booth is great. But yeah, close
- 33:00enough. Whatever. Good enough. Doesn't
- 33:02really matter. It doesn't have to be
- 33:03perfect. It's a [ __ ] thumbnail. It's
- 33:05a thumbnail for a stream. You know what
- 33:06I mean? Doesn't got to be perfect, but
- 33:08I'm just trying to show you like my
- 33:09process. But anyway, so we have a
- 33:11thumbnail, right? And Affinity Designer
- 33:12is really nice. It lets you just go
- 33:14file, export, and then uh I usually
- 33:16export in 720p, so it's not too massive
- 33:19for for what's it called? Uh YouTube,
- 33:22right? And then I [music] do that. So,
- 33:24we have a stream. So, then I go here and
- 33:26then I just grab my thumbnail.
- 33:29Drop it right in there. Perfect. And
- 33:31then I have a little extension that
- 33:33gives me little emojis and stuff. And
- 33:35I'll go to the decor section and I'll
- 33:38look for some emojis. So, let's do this
- 33:40one. And then, you know, we'll make make
- 33:43a little make a little announcement. So,
- 33:45I I usually go, you know, collab time.
- 33:49Me and Sai are going to slay and and lay
- 33:56some monsters. Totally platonically,
- 34:01I swear. [music] Just hunting in the
- 34:04violent way. Okay, it starts at 7.
- 34:09See you later. I make really unhinged
- 34:12content. Don't mind me. Uh, and then I
- 34:13usually go Wednesday 700 p.m. EST. Uh,
- 34:16I'll do like um I like arrows
- 34:18personally. I'm a big arrow fan. So, I
- 34:21just type an arrow. This uh this thing
- 34:23is called emoji combos, by the way. This
- 34:26plugin or extension. Perfect. And then
- 34:28for the hashtags, you know, # VTuber.
- 34:31This is for Instagram. #vtuber # Twitch
- 34:35# streamer # Vtuber live # Ianvtuber #
- 34:41Vtuber Ian
- 34:44Eggywgy
- 34:45Twitch stream
- 34:48whatever. Good enough. I don't think
- 34:49about it very hard to be honest. I I
- 34:51don't think about my [music] hashtags
- 34:53for my going lives very hard. Yes, you
- 34:55have a question and I have an answer.
- 34:56Oh, emoji combo extension. Yes, Twitter
- 34:58does not like hashtags. That is correct.
- 35:00Yes, the hashtags are not for Twitter.
- 35:02They're for Instagram. That is correct.
- 35:03I actually There is a whole uh Give me
- 35:06two seconds. I literally have it. Hang
- 35:08on. One second. Emoji combo. It's
- 35:13[music] literally right. Okay, whatever.
- 35:15Whatever, Google. Whatever. Okay,
- 35:17there's the emoji combos. Okay, so I'll
- 35:19talk about Twitch and all that stuff.
- 35:20So, all of this stuff, uh, all of the
- 35:23details for all of this stuff is in my
- 35:272011 guide. [music] So, let me grab it.
- 35:29Oh, real quick. Nope. Hang on. That's
- 35:31the wrong one. One sec. Is this one? No,
- 35:34there is not a Firefox version. I'm
- 35:36sorry. It's Chrome only. I've been doing
- 35:38everything wrong. I don't know how I've
- 35:39survived. I'm telling you guys, work
- 35:41smarter, not harder. Please. Please work
- 35:44smarter, not harder. Also, all of your
- 35:47worksheets that I'm giving you guys are
- 35:50all going to be in this website. Um, so
- 35:53if you go to the worksheets section,
- 35:55they're all in here. So here you know
- 35:57some more cheats etc. So this should be
- 36:00able to help you. But anyways so so I'll
- 36:02go through each social media platform.
- 36:04So B plan makes it really easy because
- 36:07so for example right I put hashtags here
- 36:11right if I put hashtags here right it
- 36:13will not use hashtags for [music]
- 36:17Twitter because as I said I'm working
- 36:20specifically with the dev for plan and
- 36:23the whole goal of Bplan is to make
- 36:26social media as [music] easy and idiot
- 36:28proof as possible basically. Okay, so
- 36:31about the Twitter links thing, that's a
- 36:32misnomer. So there's a lot of there's a
- 36:34lot to unpack there. So give me two
- 36:36seconds. I have a whole thread about it.
- 36:37It will do what is appropriate for each
- 36:39social media, right? [music] So you put
- 36:42the hashtags here, and as you can see,
- 36:44there's no hashtags in the Twitter
- 36:46version, but there is hashtags in the
- 36:48thread and Instagram version. And if you
- 36:50were doing YouTube, there would be
- 36:51hashtags, and there's a section for
- 36:54tags, and there's a section for the
- 36:56title. And there's even the section for
- 36:58putting hashtagshorts in the title
- 37:00[music] as well. So there's lots of
- 37:03different settings. So it depends on my
- 37:05social media. So So yeah. So let's say I
- 37:08wanted to make this post. Let's say I
- 37:09wanted to add a photo. So this is the
- 37:10actual media library, right? You just
- 37:12click to upload. Oops. Here we go. And
- 37:15we wait two seconds. And then it
- 37:17uploads. And then you can just copy from
- 37:20X right here. And then grab this. It's
- 37:22right here. Sorry, something popped up.
- 37:24There we go. Perfect. And if you want to
- 37:26tag people, is I free? Am I? I don't
- 37:28actually know if that's her. I don't
- 37:30actually know if she has Instagram. I
- 37:31don't think she does, but it's fine. And
- 37:33then I auto repost. Uh, so I'm posting
- 37:35this at like 12. So I don't know, like 4
- 37:38hours later, [music]
- 37:39we'll auto repost. And again, that's it.
- 37:41And then you just schedule. Tada. And
- 37:43then it'll do the rest for you. That's
- 37:44it. That's all you do. Easy peasy. So
- 37:46now, let's say I wanted to set this up
- 37:48as an actual stream, right? I wanted to
- 37:50plan my stream for the week. I the way I
- 37:52set them up in YouTube is pretty easy. I
- 37:55also use a tool called Vid IQ for
- 37:57YouTube, but I'll go through that after.
- 38:01I might have to split this workshop
- 38:02[music] up into more parts, but that's
- 38:04okay. Vid IQ. Here we go. So, VidIQ is,
- 38:08I swear to God, the best thing that you
- 38:12can get as like a supplemental tool for
- 38:15not only YouTube, but for Sorry, this is
- 38:19someone's affiliate link. I don't want
- 38:21to like give this random person I don't
- 38:23know this person. I don't want to give
- 38:24this random person money. But Vid IQ is
- 38:26uh probably the best probably the best
- 38:29thing that you can get for YouTube. Uh
- 38:32it will help with YouTube. It will help
- 38:33with other stuff as well and it's really
- 38:35good for shorts. So again, don't mind my
- 38:37government name. I think it's actually
- 38:38on that account though. One sec. It is.
- 38:41Uh sorry. I also help manage for Fuaku.
- 38:43So her stuff's in the way. Okay,
- 38:44perfect. So it has uh optimization tools
- 38:49for your videos. [music] So for example
- 38:52here uh my last one I can do generate
- 38:54scores. So the title 92%. So I did good
- 38:57with the title and the thumbnail 94. So
- 38:58that's awesome. So I did really well
- 39:00with the title and thumbnail for this
- 39:02video and it's shown because it's a
- 39:04stream that got quite a bit of views and
- 39:06usually streams don't get that many
- 39:08views. So that's great, right? It even
- 39:10analyzes your video content and
- 39:12everything. it previews like it like it
- 39:14shows like your thumbnail so you can
- 39:16show see like what your thumbnail would
- 39:18look like theoretically, you know what I
- 39:20mean? Um, it's very helpful and I try
- 39:22and do it with kind of all of my videos
- 39:25um so that I can optimize them as much
- 39:27as possible and it's what I use to push
- 39:30this video as fast as physically
- 39:33possible basically like the VTuber tips
- 39:35that grow your channel or whatever. Um,
- 39:38it also has uh an AI coach that will um
- 39:42scan your [music]
- 39:43content. So, for example, I could do,
- 39:45can you audit my channel, right? And I
- 39:47can just do a channel audit and it will
- 39:49analyze all of your channel data and
- 39:51then give you a response, right? It
- 39:54takes a while to cook though, but it it
- 39:56does all the data analysis [music]
- 39:58basically, right? So the hours that you
- 40:00would spend manually like comparing
- 40:03titles or um doing you know thumbnail
- 40:06comparisons or checking competitors or
- 40:09whatever um you know you can do in a
- 40:12much more efficient amount of time and
- 40:15do it in a way that you probably
- 40:17wouldn't be able to do unless you had a
- 40:20ton of experience in marketing to be
- 40:22honest and analytics, right? Like unless
- 40:25you had the knowledge of how to do this
- 40:26manually, you wouldn't even be able to
- 40:28do this manually. do you know what I
- 40:29mean? So, it gives a huge advantage for
- 40:31your channel. Um, it's very good. They
- 40:33also have an affiliate program, so you
- 40:34could get sponsored, which is cool. So,
- 40:35very useful. Uh, it is paid. It does
- 40:37cost money. Just keep that in mind. I
- 40:39believe it's 20 bucks a month, I think.
- 40:41Just keep that in mind. Yeah, Vid IQ has
- 40:43been around for years, forever. Um, but
- 40:45yeah, so that's the the basics. And then
- 40:47in my content calendar now, I can go
- 40:49here [music] and I'll move collab with
- 40:51Sai from ready to post to posted, right?
- 40:55And that's it. So, I have my shorts.
- 40:57same thing, my throne promos, whatever.
- 41:00Uh, all my long form videos, everything
- 41:03is planned and it's all in notion. And
- 41:06each of these pages is its own
- 41:08individual little page, right? [music]
- 41:10And I can put the footage in the page,
- 41:12right? So, for example, this is my next
- 41:14short. The footage for the short is in
- 41:17the page. So, I can literally just send
- 41:19this whole page to my editor and be
- 41:20like, "Here you go. Editing time." You
- 41:22know what I mean? And they have
- 41:24everything right there. So, it makes it
- 41:25super super easy. So that is kind of my
- 41:29process in terms of content and then I
- 41:31put everything on the side here as well
- 41:34like copy pasteable. So I can just like
- 41:37grab that copy paste. Yeah. Oh yeah, Vid
- 41:39IQ is awesome. Vid IQ is incredible.
- 41:41It's so good guys. It's so good. Look,
- 41:44this is still checking. This is still
- 41:45checking for data. We're we're letting
- 41:47it cook. We're letting it cook. So yeah,
- 41:49that's that's the basics. Um, and in
- 41:51terms of like what kind of content, so
- 41:54you want to, you got to remember guys
- 41:56that Twitter, Instagram, all this stuff,
- 41:59these are all places that you can put
- 42:01content, right? [music]
- 42:02So, my tips of the day literally started
- 42:05with that mentality of like, how do I
- 42:07turn my Twitter into content, right? And
- 42:11you can do the same thing. You can turn
- 42:14all of your loves into content. So
- 42:16theoretically, like think if you were
- 42:17like a Warhammer streamer. Let's go back
- 42:19to Warhammer, right? If you were a
- 42:20Warhammer streamer, you could do tips
- 42:23about Warhammer, tips about how to play
- 42:24the game. You could do reviews on
- 42:26different armies. You could go into the
- 42:28lore of different factions. You could go
- 42:30into the lore of one specific faction.
- 42:32You can paint minis. You can create
- 42:34like, you know, uh 3D print stuff. You
- 42:36can do 3D modeling. You can do art. Like
- 42:39there's 8 million different Warhammer
- 42:42related things that you could be doing
- 42:44for content, not just in your streams,
- 42:47but also on Twitter. Twitter is not your
- 42:49diary. Twitter is another place for
- 42:51content. So you should treat it as such.
- 42:53In terms of prepping for a stream, so if
- 42:55I wanted to like let's say prep for that
- 42:56stream on Wednesday, right? I would go
- 42:59to YouTube to my There we go. I just
- 43:01wanted to add a YouTube studio hotkey
- 43:04there. Um, [snorts] so if I go to
- 43:05YouTube Studio, right, I'll go here,
- 43:07create, and then go live, [music] right?
- 43:10I'll schedule a stream. I use the same
- 43:13settings as last [music] time. You can
- 43:15come up with this is my structure that I
- 43:18use. And then you can also ask Vid IQ
- 43:21like like be like, hey, can you optimize
- 43:24the description based off of like this
- 43:26is what's going to be happening in
- 43:27stream, like this is what I'm going to
- 43:29be doing, etc., etc. Uh, and then it it
- 43:31can like it or you can give it like,
- 43:33hey, there's five different titles. Uh,
- 43:35which title will do better, right? And
- 43:38then it will literally analyze those
- 43:40five titles versus like hundreds of
- 43:43thousands of other titles and be like,
- 43:44this title is the best, use this one,
- 43:46right? So, it at least gives you some
- 43:48decision- making. You know what I mean?
- 43:50So that you're like, I don't know what
- 43:51to title this. So, it gives you some
- 43:52help. And the stuff that Vid IQ tells
- 43:55you, you can use for other platforms.
- 43:58So, like if you for example wanted to be
- 44:00like, "Hey, I want to make a or I I just
- 44:02like released a short about X, Y, and
- 44:04Zed. Can you help me come up with a
- 44:06title for it?" Right? Then you would
- 44:09have to basically adjust it slightly for
- 44:13each platform, but like very little like
- 44:15it would be very little adjustment.
- 44:16Basically, just like certain platforms
- 44:17just don't like super long descriptions
- 44:18is it is really it. Um, man, this is
- 44:21really cooking. Okay, here's my hot take
- 44:23here. I have another hot take. Okay,
- 44:25Twitter is bad for growth. Okay,
- 44:28Twitter's bad for growth. Twitter
- 44:29doesn't matter, guys. Twitter doesn't
- 44:31matter. Twitter is a hole of ragebait.
- 44:34Okay, you could literally shut down your
- 44:36Twitter and be a completely successful
- 44:38streamer. It's not a real place. You
- 44:39know what I mean? Like, you don't need
- 44:41Twitter, right? [music] Yeah. I I think
- 44:44uh Exactly. Yeah. There's some people
- 44:46with Twitter at like 4K and their Twitch
- 44:48is like 20 200. Yeah, it's true. It
- 44:50doesn't there's no correlation. Twitter
- 44:52has a very bad conversion from Twitter
- 44:55to your actual stream. So, I wouldn't
- 44:58even focus on it as like a social
- 45:00platform. I would focus on it just to
- 45:02like I would just use it to get your
- 45:04news, make your friends, and then do
- 45:06other stuff elsewhere. But yeah, so then
- 45:08it gives you like a little content
- 45:09optimization, right? [music]
- 45:11And it uh it'll even give you a
- 45:13recommended content mix um or like good
- 45:16title formulas or whatever. [music] So,
- 45:19it's very very helpful. It's a very very
- 45:21helpful tool. So I I definitely
- 45:22recommend. Um so anyway, so I'll do
- 45:25that. Put in the the thumbnail and
- 45:27everything. It'll even give you tags and
- 45:30then you just set it up and that's it.
- 45:32In terms of OBS, yeah, it's amazing. In
- 45:35terms of OBS, um I use uh sorry you're
- 45:39going to see 10 million of me. Um, but I
- 45:41use ATM uh ATM stream suite and it has
- 45:45multistreaming built into the stream
- 45:47suite and it makes OBS so much cleaner.
- 45:50I highly highly highly highly highly
- 45:53recommend it. So, let me let me grab
- 45:55Yeah, ATM's awesome. There you go, guys.
- 45:57ATM's amazing. Very very good. But yeah,
- 46:00so now in terms of actual streams, um,
- 46:04usually uh I structure them. I'll
- 46:07usually have a section that I do for
- 46:10YouTube, right? So, I do at least once a
- 46:13week I'll do like a section that I do
- 46:14for YouTube. So, I'll do like a reaction
- 46:16day, right? Or for 2 hours or an hour or
- 46:19whatever, we'll react to something,
- 46:21right? And that'll be a YouTube thing.
- 46:23So, I won't stream that on YouTube,
- 46:25right? And I'll wait to start the
- 46:27YouTube stream until we start gaming.
- 46:29And then once I start gaming, then I'll
- 46:31start the YouTube stream. And then I'll
- 46:33make the YouTube stream just for the
- 46:35game. And that's better because YouTube
- 46:37really hates it when you uh switch
- 46:39categories. So that's what I usually do
- 46:41for structure. And I usually do I don't
- 46:43know maybe like an hour or 30 minutes of
- 46:45yapping before I start the game and then
- 46:48go go into it. The big important thing
- 46:49that you want to do during stream and
- 46:51this is going to tie into our
- 46:52monetization seminar, but you want to
- 46:55always be promoting yourself, right?
- 46:57When someone follows, every time someone
- 46:59follows or raids me, I go, "Oh my god,
- 47:01hi. My name is Eggy the EP Jackaloupe of
- 47:02the North. I love Souls games,
- 47:04Warhammer, and pro wrestling. Thank you
- 47:06so much for stopping by. Welcome to the
- 47:07cult. You know what I mean? So, it's
- 47:10very, very easy to just be like, "This
- 47:12is what this is me. This is what I'm
- 47:14about. Hello. Hello." And I say it every
- 47:16time someone follows. You know what
- 47:17[music] I mean? And it gives people it
- 47:19makes people feel welcome. It gives
- 47:21people something to base something off
- 47:22of, you know what I mean? It's great. I
- 47:24also am always plugging whatever I'm
- 47:27trying to raise money for. You know what
- 47:28I mean? So, like right now, I'm trying
- 47:30to raise money for a new desk. [music]
- 47:31So, uh, when I get a new desk or to to
- 47:35sorry to fund raise for a new desk, I'm
- 47:37basically being like, "Hello everybody.
- 47:39We're trying to fundra for a new desk.
- 47:40So, if you have some some spare
- 47:41shillings, I would really appreciate
- 47:43some rubbed pennies together, but if you
- 47:45don't, no worries. Your viewership is
- 47:46more than enough of my loves or
- 47:48something like that, right? And uh, is
- 47:50not multireaming bad for growth?" I
- 47:52would say so. I mean, yeah, because the
- 47:53idea is you want to put yourself out
- 47:55there as much as possible, right? As
- 47:57many places as possible. So the more you
- 47:59put your eggs in one basket, the more
- 48:00you're limiting your growth. ATM
- 48:02shouldn't be any shouldn't be an issue
- 48:03on your laptop at all because you're not
- 48:05you're not running multiple instances of
- 48:07anything. You're just running one
- 48:08instance of OBS. It it really shouldn't
- 48:10it shouldn't have any effect on your
- 48:12laptop at all. But uh yes, short form is
- 48:14definitely the best for growth right
- 48:15now. 100% 100% 100%. Short form shorts,
- 48:20uh recorded shorts, scheduled or um
- 48:22scripted shorts, stuff like that.
- 48:24Absolutely. And then yeah, Mix it up is
- 48:27another thing. Stream Elements
- 48:28multiream. I don't like it. I just found
- 48:31the interface really clunky and stupid
- 48:33and I prefer the interface of ATM. It
- 48:36looks a lot nicer. It makes OBS not
- 48:37shitty looking and I like that. Yeah,
- 48:39short form is really good right now.
- 48:41Absolutely. But it has to be short form
- 48:42that like makes sense, right? It has to
- 48:44be content. Don't just post clips,
- 48:45right? Post scripted stuff, post
- 48:47scripted shorts, things like that. So,
- 48:49uh, Mix It Up is amazing. I definitely
- 48:52recommend it. It's what I use to do all
- 48:55of my commands and everything. Makes it
- 48:57up so good. Oh, no. Short form. No, no,
- 48:59no. We're talking shorts. Like we're
- 49:01talking when I say short form, I'm
- 49:03talking like like Let me give you an
- 49:05example of a scripted short and a
- 49:07non-scripted short. No, I don't mean 1
- 49:09to 2 minutes. I mean like seconds. Like
- 49:11this one is a scripted short. Like we're
- 49:13talking Tik Toks. You know what I mean?
- 49:15Like Tik Toks. So these are some
- 49:16examples. And when I talk about these
- 49:19things, it's usually I just pick
- 49:20something that I'm passionate about and
- 49:22I talk about it. Another way you can do
- 49:24it is you can get together with a group
- 49:27of friends and just shoot the [ __ ]
- 49:29podcast style and record a bunch of it
- 49:32and then get inspiration for shorts from
- 49:34there. That's what I do sometimes. Just
- 49:36be like, "Hey homies, is it okay if I
- 49:37record our [ __ ] posting?" That's where a
- 49:39lot of my scripted shorts have come
- 49:41from, my [music] hot take shorts.
- 49:42They've come from just like friends
- 49:44being like, "What's your take on this?"
- 49:45this and I'm like actually I have a hot
- 49:47take about that. In terms of uh editing
- 49:50flow, like I said, I'm going to show you
- 49:52guys how I edit and stuff in general,
- 49:54but those are some examples there. I
- 49:56would definitely do multiples at once.
- 49:58So, if you can do multiple edits [music]
- 50:01at like in a batch, like a batch of like
- 50:03seven at a time or something, then at
- 50:05least you have like a week's worth at a
- 50:06time, you know? And uh yeah. Oh my god,
- 50:09we still have so much to go. Okay, so
- 50:10you know what I'm going to do cuz it's
- 50:11been over an hour. So, what I'll do, I'm
- 50:14gonna open it up to questions and we're
- 50:16[music] just going to make this a the
- 50:18rest of it a yap sesh. Um, and what I
- 50:20will do is I will uh end the recording
- 50:23here shortly. Um, after I answer
- 50:25questions and then we will do a part two
- 50:29[music] next week. Does that sound good,
- 50:30guys? We'll do part two next week. We
- 50:32can do the same time. So, Maru, so Maru,
- 50:35what is um what is your issue with the
- 50:37editing? Like, have you tried stuff like
- 50:39Filora, Cap Cut, etc.? Do you mean like
- 50:41you can't do because the thing is is
- 50:43it's just a it's just a matter of
- 50:45learning, right? [music] I I hate to I
- 50:47hate to be that guy, right? But there is
- 50:49no can't, right? There is no I can't
- 50:51learn that. Like you can you just have
- 50:52to you got to find the tutorial or find
- 50:55the thing, right? So if you need some
- 50:58advice, I can point you the right
- 50:59direction. I just need to know, right?
- 51:00But even a style, right? Like even if
- 51:02it's a style, then I'm trying to figure
- 51:05out, right? Um but yeah, the the most of
- 51:07the things that I sent you guys are in
- 51:09that link. I don't think Vid IQ is I
- 51:13don't think Vid IQ is, but I should put
- 51:14it in there. And then um we'll go
- 51:17through the worksheets, too. There's
- 51:18some workie sheets, you know, creator
- 51:20identity blueprint where you can, you
- 51:23know, type about the things, you know,
- 51:26make some some what's it called? Some
- 51:29concrete decisions on like your
- 51:31branding, you know, right? But Maru, so
- 51:33that's okay, right? You don't need it
- 51:35doesn't need to. So first of all you can
- 51:38learn different styles of editing
- 51:39basically just by like practicing
- 51:41different styles right or like obviously
- 51:43like look like looking at the content
- 51:45right but even if you don't consume that
- 51:47type of content why not make something
- 51:49you do like to consume edit it though
- 51:51don't you don't have to edit it that
- 51:53style you can edit it any way you want
- 51:55right there is a market for sure that's
- 51:59okay that's fine Maru but what I'm
- 52:01saying is like what I'm saying is for
- 52:02shorts right I'm saying like what kind
- 52:04of content would you like if you see a
- 52:06short on Twitter, right? Or on Tik Tok
- 52:09or whatever, what would you find
- 52:11interesting, right? So, it's not a bad
- 52:14Yeah, it's not a bad thing. You have to
- 52:15study your content. You have to study
- 52:17and find things that you cannot as a
- 52:20con, this is this goes back to the
- 52:22mentality, right? As a content creator,
- 52:25you cannot be stuck at I can't do this.
- 52:28You can never have that mentality
- 52:31because as soon as you say I cannot do
- 52:33this thing, it's over. it's over, right?
- 52:37Like you you've lost the lost the plot,
- 52:39you know? You got to you got to always
- 52:41be pushing for being better, right? You
- 52:44always got to be pushing to be better.
- 52:45And you always got to push to be like,
- 52:47how do I do this? I can't do it the way
- 52:49that I want that. I can't do it the way
- 52:51this person does it, so how do I do it
- 52:53in a way that I like that would be fun,
- 52:56right? I get it. No, totally. And that's
- 52:59the thing is like you either got to find
- 53:01it's kind of what I was trying to tell I
- 53:03think it was I for I was trying to tell
- 53:04someone in chat. Uh but basically I was
- 53:07saying like something's got to give
- 53:08somewhere, right? You either need to
- 53:10have the time or you need to have the
- 53:14money, right? So you either need to put
- 53:16in the time or you need to put in the
- 53:17money. Something's got to give
- 53:18somewhere. [music]
- 53:19You can't have both. You can't do
- 53:22everything and make a you know what I
- 53:23mean? Like it just doesn't work, right?
- 53:25You have to either something's got to
- 53:26give somewhere, right? So yeah, exactly.
- 53:29So if you don't have the time to edit
- 53:30anymore, that totally makes sense. But
- 53:32yeah, like if you have if you don't have
- 53:34[snorts] the money, you got to make the
- 53:35time, you know, like if you don't have
- 53:36the time, you got to have the money. You
- 53:38know what I mean? Like that's how it
- 53:40works. So in terms of Mecca, what you
- 53:42were saying with like your long longer
- 53:45winded ones, I would mix those in with
- 53:48short like there's tons of short form
- 53:50content. Like you can't tell me there's
- 53:52no short form content on Warhammer. You
- 53:54know what I mean? There totally is.
- 53:55Here's 10 facts about Warhammer in 30
- 53:57seconds. Here's 10 facts about X movie
- 54:00in 30 seconds. Here's 10 facts about X.
- 54:03Like, you could literally make a whole
- 54:05series of here's 10 facts about this
- 54:07thing. Done. That's your content. You
- 54:08know what I mean? Like, it's it's not I
- 54:10promise you guys it's not rocket
- 54:12science. You're just thinking too hard.
- 54:14You guys are overthinking it. Post it.
- 54:16You can make it good later. Literally.
- 54:18Literally, just post it. Make it good
- 54:20later. It's not a problem. It's not a
- 54:23big deal. I swear no one's going to
- 54:25think you're cringe. It's better to have
- 54:26shitty edits than nothing. Sometimes the
- 54:28editing Yeah, I was going to say like if
- 54:30there's a Yeah, don't be don't be scared
- 54:33to try. Never be scared to try. Just do
- 54:35the thing. Just do the thing. Do or do
- 54:38not. There is no try. Um here are
- 54:40another the other panels. So I have this
- 54:42one. These are all my notes. And then I
- 54:45have uh editing and repurposing content
- 54:47and then self-care and longevity. But
- 54:50here is there's two. So, the full-time
- 54:54one, the full-time creator worksheet,
- 54:56and the creator identity blueprint are
- 54:58the ones for these ones. I totally get
- 55:00you, Maru. And listen, I said from the
- 55:01beginning that I'm not going to be soft
- 55:03on you guys, right? That I'm going to
- 55:05I'm going to bust your asses and be
- 55:06like, "Come on, you can do this. I know
- 55:09you can." You know what I mean? Cuz I
- 55:10know you can, right? I know you can do
- 55:12it. Sometimes you got to you got to take
- 55:14out you got to take out the big girl
- 55:16pants and you got to be like, "Okay, I
- 55:17got to do the thing." You know? Even
- 55:18though you don't want to, even though
- 55:19it's scary, you got to do it. Thank you
- 55:22so much, Zev. That means a lot to me.
- 55:24Thank you. I appreciate that. I I truly
- 55:26truly just want to
- 55:30help people and help people understand
- 55:33the how easy it really is with the right
- 55:37tools. You know what I mean? Cuz
- 55:39fundamentally, it's not that hard,
- 55:42right? It just [music] takes practice.
- 55:45Basically, making your brain content
- 55:47pilled, you know? And I the only reason
- 55:49I'm so content pilled is because I've
- 55:51been doing this for so long and I locked
- 55:54in really [ __ ] hard in January. And
- 55:57since January, I've seen tremendous
- 55:59success. Tremendous. So yeah, [music] I
- 56:02mean that's uh that's all I can say.
- 56:04I'll uh I'll stop the recording for now.
- 56:06So everyone who's joining us on YouTube,

- 56:25more when you get recommended in a
- 56:28second. All right, I'll see you guys
- 56:28later. Bye.
