1:10and we were informed of some injuries

1:23scratch marks to his back

1:31a condition is so like basically you're
1:33getting hit and then you know you you
1:36get a mark from it you'll get bruising
1:39like some someone hate you or something
1:40like that it's called a contusion so he
1:43had some injuries to his left shoulder

1:47he had
1:49um he had a cut near his lip we could
1:51see we could see his um his mouth was a
1:54lull i haven't laid his hand on him

1:59also too i he fell off my son's bike
2:02okay so i don't know
2:03and he's notorious for running into the
2:05wall or the hall tree that's why
2:08okay what about the scratches
2:13because there's also
2:15sex yes okay because there's also like a
2:18like a scratch on like the back of his
2:21neck like kind of like going but it's
2:23like going straight across
2:25i have no idea what that's wrong
2:27and they're all recent like they they
2:29occurred recently it wasn't something
2:31that occurred post or that occurred a
2:33week ago or two days ago three days ago
2:35they definitely occurred you know the
2:37night leading up to when he was in all
2:39honesty

3:26you called this yesterday at one so but
3:28the incident you guys were painting and
3:30stuff the night prior correct so we're
3:32talking about sunday
3:34and then
3:35thoroughly confused because
3:37we had a good time sitting on the back
3:40porch having wine and smoking a couple
3:42of cigarettes and then decided to go
3:44inside and literally paint do puzzles
3:47and play
3:48and listen to music that's why
3:52nobody got out of sorts that this is
3:54what's
3:55mind-blowing to me like i don't
3:57i have no clue nobody laid a hand on
4:00anybody
4:01he also had um
4:04like on the left side of his forehead he
4:06had
4:07basically bruising
4:09um
4:10and um
4:12like his head and skull
4:14i have no idea as if something hit him i
4:18considered not for touchdown
4:20i have not touched him
4:22i have not touched him how would he get
4:25those injuries tell me we'll both know
4:28i have not touched him
4:30yesterday when we took photographs of
4:33your overall body
4:34um and they did the bugle swabs did they
4:37go under your fingernails no
4:39okay are you willing to let us
4:41absolutely slob underneath your
4:42fingernails go for it

4:45i have no idea and i don't want to seem
4:48out of sorts but

5:24he said a month ago he hit you with a
5:25curtain rod yeah that's why i can't
5:27believe you guys didn't take that either
5:32like we've been good i don't know if
5:34like it's since the last time he got out
5:36of jail like we've been good and he's
5:39been having his classes
5:41and his seeing his probation officer
5:43who's amazing
5:44so
5:45what do you mean by good what's your
5:46definition of good
5:49vaccination officer oh no you said you
5:51guys have been good what's your
5:52definition i've been good
5:54i don't think you all understand he
5:55comes at me all the time he comes at me
5:59so it's either i flee
6:01or try to go upstairs and go to sleep

6:07but most of the time when i sleep i go

6:13have been good and when i asked you
6:15yesterday there hasn't the last incident
6:18that you could remember was the curtain
6:19right incident which she said was a
6:21month ago so give or take right so what
6:23do you mean by he comes after you like

6:27belligerently drunk
6:29like i don't know if you all have looked
6:31through my phone yet and seen any of the
6:33pictures and the videos that i have
6:34taken
6:35and
6:36the
6:37at one point
6:38i started documenting everything okay so
6:41you all will see in my
6:43pictures
6:44bloody fingers split foreheads he split
6:48my nose
6:49i've got this right i don't know if
6:51brian told you about it where i had to
6:52have almost what i had one really bad
6:54surgery but then it got really really
6:56really really bad where i had to go like
6:58four or five more times afterwards for
7:00them to tend to it from him poking me in
7:02the back of the leg right so it's
7:05then why are you still with him
7:06everybody asks me that when i tell you
7:08guys this
7:12i really love him
7:14like i do and i feel like i can help him
7:17like i feel like i could help him which
7:19i did because he's come a really he came
7:21a really long way
7:23from where he was in philadelphia to
7:25moving back to hearing to dealing with
7:27everything else that he's been dealing
7:28with
7:29i've really helped him i've bailed him
7:31out of jail what three times i've gone
7:33to every single hearing in every single
7:35arraignment everything that i did for
7:37him
7:38gone to see all his public defenders go
7:40to the state i've gone to the state i
7:42did everything for him because i'm
7:43trying to help him because i have i had
7:46hope in him
7:48and he was trying
7:49he wasn't really trying
7:52just and then he starts to think about
7:53things and it just i think he gets
7:55overwhelmed and then it's like the next
7:57thing i know he's drinking so it's like
7:59oh man
8:01i know where this is gonna go so i'm
8:03gonna go upstairs and read a book or i'm
8:05gonna go for a bike ride or i'm gonna do
8:06something else where i don't wanna drink
8:09i don't wanna drink the occasional wine
8:13whatever or if it's a weekend
8:15that's when you you have a good time you
8:18don't have to wake up the next day i
8:20have to wake up the next day and do
8:21things i have to tend to lucas i can
8:23take him to school i have all this stuff
8:24to do he doesn't know how to
8:29i guess maintain himself where
8:32i can do 50 things at once and still
8:35know the 50 things more previously
8:38prior that i need to get done he can't
8:40process like that he didn't process like
8:42that so it he would literally not
8:44literally but had smoke coming out of
8:45his ears so the next thing you know he
8:48doesn't want to deal with it
8:50i'm going to go get something to drink
8:51so the majority of the time i would hang
8:53out outside or do something else because
8:56i don't want to drink
8:59and every time every time
9:02his job broke his heart and it made me
9:04sad because he had so much pride in this
9:06job and the store that he took care of
9:09so much
9:11totally went downhill
9:13and that
9:14broke his heart because he had put so
9:16much work and effort into fixing it up
9:19and his
9:20manager was awful
9:23and basically gave up on all of the
9:25employees so i think that
9:28had a huge bearing on why he would drink
9:31so much
9:32his ex-wife
9:33is bonkers
9:35she was all over him all the time
9:38send me money send me money send me
9:40money
9:41how can i send you money when i don't
9:43have a job and he's still trying to take
9:46care of me and lucas by paying a bill
9:48here or there getting some groceries
9:51so he always had something on his mind
9:54which is why again
9:56i got the puzzles and the paint
9:58to try to get him off of it so we don't
10:00have a drink or he doesn't have a dream
10:03so when you all see my phone
10:05you can see all of the damage he has
10:07done to me and the videos of him
10:10smashing my television because he's
10:12belligerently drunk
10:15well most of the time i just don't want
10:17to be there and i try to help him i try
10:19to calm him down
10:21eventually he just passes out
10:24well yesterday i made it sound like you
10:26guys were just drinking like a glass or
10:28two like yeah you obviously had the
10:31bottle but you i mean you told me on the
10:33yeah but you told me i'm recording like
10:35that you were not drunk he was not drunk
10:37you guys were having a good time i don't
10:39get
10:40i can't get drunk number one i do not
10:43want to get drunk
10:45i don't like being non-complementous
10:48having my wits about myself i don't like
10:49feeling out of control
10:53so
10:54i'm just saying you're you're making it
10:55sound like like he's a raging alcoholic
10:58today and yesterday i was kind of asking
11:00you those questions and you're like
11:02a little defensive like no we're not
11:04alcoholics that he i'm not
11:06you know
11:08but you guys are both sober on sunday to
11:11your knowledge because when i said you
11:12went and passed out you were like no i
11:14didn't pass out i just fell asleep so
11:17now it's kind of like
11:18what is it were you guys drinking and it
11:20got out of hand and
11:23it got physical no
11:24is it
11:26sunday was one of the better days that
11:28we have had in quite some time
11:30he's dancing with my dog you can see
11:32that too on the picture of him loving
11:35the dog he loves
11:37the dog and dancing around having a good
11:39time and just
11:42just being happy
11:43kind of thing
11:46he doesn't know
11:47i can't
11:49i mean i can get like
11:52maybe two three glasses of wine and i'll
11:54be fine but i have to have my wits about
11:56myself because i don't know what to
11:57expect well let's talk about sunday what
11:59was sunday how were you like how many
12:01glasses of wine did you have how many
12:02glasses of wine did he have
12:04the bottle was gone i mean i don't know
12:06if you poured any out yeah no that was
12:08from previous
12:10you said that there was a half bottle of
12:12water
12:14and then um that you had went there well
12:18i don't even know how the wine how'd you
12:20guys get the wine
12:21for sunday i'm guessing he went to
12:24publix he's
12:25does he do the does he like leave the
12:27house and you stay home or do you go to
12:29publix like because i can't talk with
12:31him okay did you go with him sunday
12:34so most of the time what happens is
12:36because
12:37the convenience store where we get
12:38cigarettes is here and then publix
12:40literally is cattywampus to it okay so
12:42what he'll do is he'll start go by
12:44publix and then on the way back catch
12:47the convenience store okay so is that
12:49what he did sunday i'm guessing that's
12:51what he did because the next thing i
12:53know he's walking in with a bottle okay
12:54so that's
12:57it's him trying to be nice so i don't
12:58have to go out and do it plus there's
13:00stuff that around the house that i had
13:01to take care of so that's usually what
13:03will happen or i'm folding laundry and
13:05he'll go run out and do whatever
13:07okay
13:08so
13:09where were you guys at on
13:13on drunkenness not drunkenness on sunday
13:18you told us you weren't drunk no i was
13:20not drunk i was not drunk
13:22so with him i don't know
13:26i i know when it's like okay man where i
13:29have told him
13:31slow down it's starting to catch up with
13:33you slow down slow down
13:36and another thing too is i don't like
13:38listening to music with him because he
13:41gets too involved in the music and the
13:42music that he listens to is
13:45a little rough around the edges and like
13:47just
13:48it makes me fractious listening to his
13:50music so
13:52i kept asking him let's not just let
13:54just you and me talk you and me will
13:56just be the ones that are talking which
13:57was fine because i mean he we were
13:59playing with a dog whatever and then
14:00it's like okay now let's do the painting
14:04we just did the puzzle took a break now
14:06let's do this
14:07sure not sat down we're sitting there
14:10talking laughing talking about new
14:11movies we're watching movie trailers
14:15while we're doing painting and all that
14:17other stuff so it's still background
14:18noise to him because i think that's what
14:20he's used to is having background noise
14:22where me i can sit in here all day with
14:24not a peep but he always has to have
14:27some kind of background noise which i
14:28didn't mind because the trailers were
14:29cool and he was interested in showing
14:31them to me
14:32getting excited about movies that were
14:34out
14:35or upcoming okay
14:37so on your laptop you're talking about
14:39and i mean
14:40and then
14:42it was you said it was a good day like
14:43you guys didn't have any
14:45have any uh conversations about your
14:47relationship you guys didn't go down
14:49like the rabbit hole like had too many
14:51to drink and you guys start getting nope
14:54when i tell you this
14:55it made me so happy that he actually
14:58listened to what i had to say
15:00with
15:01just
15:02we'll get through it
15:03this will be fine it's just it's
15:06it's a small hurdle that you and i
15:08together will get through because in
15:10terms of the money jobs dollars
15:14yes nothing relationship wise though
15:16like no issues relations like did you
15:19guys have a conversation about your
15:20relationship or was it just about
15:22just like what's going on right now
15:24i try to evoke it from him so
15:28he gets it off his chest because i call
15:31him the volcano where eventually he's
15:33going to erupt right
15:35and what he has learned in his classes
15:37is to communicate which is a huge thing
15:40in a relationship where he has been
15:42practicing communication so he actually
15:45talks to me about things and unburdens
15:47himself put it on me i'll sit there and
15:50try and figure it out for you like i
15:51have almost everything not a worry just
15:55tell me get it out of you right but it
15:58was when i tell you i was
16:00so happy like it was such a good day i
16:03kid you not the weather was beautiful
16:05outside i'm the one that had him go
16:07inside so we can do puzzles and painting
16:09and listen to music or whatever else he
16:11wants to do
16:12so then he starts doing whatever it is
16:14we're doing together
16:16in the living room
16:18and then starts talking because i think
16:20he gets comfortable
16:21with
16:22okay you know what we're here it is a
16:24good day
16:25let me go ahead and explain myself so i
16:27know
16:28nobody else knows but i know
16:31nobody knew george better than i did i
16:33say that i knew george better than
16:35himself
16:37and i tried in every way shape and form
16:42ask everyone
16:44i helped him
16:46i took care of him
16:50i miss him a lot and i didn't even sleep
16:52last night
16:55i miss him a lot
16:57i mean is there any chance it got to be
16:58too much for you and you couldn't handle
17:01taking care of him and i never stopped
17:03crying

17:16we just don't i mean it's unexplainable
17:18how he got these injuries and
17:20i have no idea you were the only one

17:37um you had mentioned that you take uh
17:41you would take photos videos it's kind
17:43of like a proof and just in general yeah

17:51i think the last time that he got
17:52arrested where he was flying off the
17:54deep end
17:56but then
17:57i had him bailed out i got him out of
18:00jail right
18:01but because he had violated the
18:03pre-trial diversion
18:05they this time it's probation so you
18:07don't have a choice in it you have to go
18:09to see your probation officer you have
18:12to go to these classes it's court order
18:14where it took him a while to get used to
18:16it and understand
18:18they're not messing around
18:20i even went down and met his uh
18:22probation officer which i say i
18:24she's wonderful that's one of my
18:26questions jenny to talk to you about
18:28hugged me
18:29and said how much she knows that i take
18:31care of him she called me personally one
18:33time when george was at work when he was
18:35working
18:3642 minute phone call
18:38she and i just saying how grateful she
18:40is that george has me and she knows how
18:43hard i'm working to help him
18:46just as she is and just as the class as
18:48well
18:49so once he started actually going on a
18:51regular basis to the probation officer
18:54and then to his substance abuse class
18:57and his i don't know what vip stands for
18:59matters intervention program
19:02and actually listening to what it is
19:03everyone had to say he changed like i
19:06could i could see a change in him or
19:08before lashing out he would think about
19:10it
19:12and would always come home and show me
19:14his paper and we would look over his
19:15papers together or it's like wow you
19:18actually are learning this in class
19:20and some of the stuff that they would
19:21show them like videos
19:23he would come home and be like sarah i'm
19:25so sorry for what i've done to you
19:26because
19:28for a video that he watches
19:30to
19:32make him feel that way where it's like
19:34oh man
19:36i have done her wrong
19:39but he's changed he changed
19:43and that's why you're still with him
19:44even though he's done all these things
19:45to you and when i tell you i love him i
19:48love him
19:52when you have
19:54when you love somebody you have limits
19:56everybody tells me that oh my neighbors
19:58don't tell me that the office property
20:00manager
20:02at some point somebody
20:05gets enough then they have to to do
20:07something to defend themselves
20:09i would just sleep and i don't know if
20:12you would like to see it on my phone or
20:14i think i think it's actually on a
20:15laptop
20:17i actually because and you have to
20:19understand too
20:20i have like prior to classes in po
20:25kicked him out how many times i had him
20:28arrested how many times but you also
20:30went down and bailed i know
20:32the next day i know what's on your
20:35laptop

20:41previously
20:44i actually looked up how to file a
20:45restraining order
20:47okay because i would take him out his
20:49parents because of
20:51them
20:52constantly having to take him back in
20:54his bags of clothes all his stuff
20:58the one time the last time their father
21:00came out and
21:02irate and just not even i think i don't
21:05even know if he knew lucas was in the
21:06car
21:07just opened the back of my car and just
21:08started throwing all his crap and just
21:10throwing it like throwing it like the
21:12car would jostle he was throwing all
21:13that stuff
21:15at that point because i continually did
21:17it not continually i think i maybe did
21:19it three times and he has nowhere else
21:21to go
21:22they got fed up and said nope either
21:24you're staying there or you're staying
21:26here but if you're staying here at their
21:28place it's permanent you're not going
21:30back over there anymore
21:32so what happens is he pursues me
21:35so
21:36i don't know if you all know where katy
21:37way trail is
21:39okay so we it's literally right
21:42right there from our apartment
21:45would ride his bike to work but before
21:48he would leave extra early and come up
21:50to the wall stand on top of his bike and
21:52poke his head over because he would know
21:53that i would be outside having my
21:55morning
21:56cigarette and cup of coffee
21:59where and i would also know too what
22:00time you would get off of work where i
22:02would know
22:03come get off of work you can do the same
22:05thing
22:06so it's not like i ever got like a break
22:08from him where i told you all yesterday
22:11or whatever it was
22:12i started to feel that it was too much
22:14togetherness and when you have too much
22:17togetherness
22:18friction happens so i'm gonna go ride my
22:21bike i'm gonna go upstairs and read a
22:22book
22:23but what he
22:24every what does he say every waking
22:26moment he wants to be with me so
22:29and mind you our town home is either
22:31upstairs or downstairs so it's like if
22:35you would like to sit down stairs and
22:36watch a movie or play on the laptop look
22:39up some jobs you're more than welcome to
22:41i'm just going to be upstairs maybe
22:42watching one of my shows or maybe
22:44reading a book
22:45so and then when that what happened
22:50we really needed that so what's for
22:51dinner
22:52and then we would cook together
22:54and eat dinner and then crawl on the bed
22:56and watch the movie
22:58are you talking about this is like
22:59recent i don't you kind of like lost me
23:01like one what are you doing
23:02like a little while ago but now you're
23:04talking about now you're talking about
23:05tension building up and that you need
23:07space so
23:08have you been feeling that way lately or
23:12okay no
23:14okay my thing is too so you all know oh
23:17i hate that you
23:18can't talk to her but
23:20um d his ex-wife when i say a monster
23:24she's a monster like it does she
23:26withholds
23:27her their children from speaking to him
23:30so he gets upset about that and then she
23:33like completely berates him about money
23:36about the father that he is what he did
23:38to her all this other stuff
23:41it doesn't matter i mean mind you this
23:43is not like been recent but which is why
23:46he didn't even bother calling anymore
23:47because he knows that he's she's gonna
23:49answer and he's gonna have to talk to
23:50her so therefore he can't talk to his
23:52daughter
23:53the other time he talked to her mate
23:55made her top to cookie that's on my cell
23:58phone too so you can see it
24:01it doesn't matter
24:02like
24:03it doesn't matter
24:06what does she have to do though with
24:07anything about
24:08what happened sunday and into monday
24:10like no i'm just saying like previously
24:13why the incidents
24:15what happened is she plays a big part of
24:17it okay
24:19and money and groceries and all that

24:24when i tell you this i have no idea

24:29idea is there anybody else at the house
24:31no it's just me and him

24:37since talking yesterday do you remember
24:39any like time timelines better like what
24:42time
24:43uh you guys were playing what time you
24:45he was zipped up in the
24:48luggage what time you guys are upstairs
24:50we started because we had we cleaned the
24:52house a little bit did some laundry you
24:55started the activities around four years
24:56yes around four or four thirty ish and
24:58then you just said that it was dark when
25:00you were playing hiding seek and i'm
25:02just curious if you remember but when we
25:04were outside that's where we would start
25:06and talk about things and then
25:08eventually i was the one that had him
25:10come inside
25:11so we could by the time do you remember
25:13what time that was is what she's asking
25:17and she said you went up you went up to
25:19bed around midnight midnight fell asleep
25:22around 12 30 ish
25:23but those are the only times i have so i
25:25have four and i have midnight so there's
25:28a big gap so i'm just curious like if
25:30you recall when you went upstairs to
25:33hide in the shower or
25:35like when we started to play hide and
25:36seek yeah
25:39well
25:40we went inside probably about
25:43if i had to guess we weren't we weren't
25:44out there too long we were about six ish
25:48then you can turn up from hanging out
25:49outside and like
25:51okay we have two beach chairs that are
25:53out there right just enjoy the weather
25:56plus it started to get dark and mats and
25:58mosquitoes yeah so
26:01let's go inside i don't want to be out
26:02here anymore okay all right let's go so
26:04we're doing whatever we did it for a
26:06while because that puzzle i don't know
26:08if they took it or they saw it
26:10um worked on the puzzle again finished
26:13it
26:14started to paint well started listening
26:16to music for a little bit
26:18started to paint uh can we turn the
26:20music off no problem
26:22start at the top paint whatever
26:26maybe
26:30gosh that puzzle we've worked on that
26:31for probably a good hour and a half
26:33so eight o'clock is
26:36is when you want to hide upstairs
26:38originally no that's when we were like
26:41painting so then it's like okay well i
26:43we can't i don't want to paint anymore
26:44let's just ah
26:46come on
26:47okay you want to play hide and seek what
26:49he does is okay tag you're it well it's
26:51like okay we know okay take off
26:54that's what we did and then you went
26:56upstairs and then he didn't come up and
26:58you came down
26:59and the suitcase was there originally
27:01because you guys were planning to do
27:03donations already there um have you guys
27:07ever played the you said you played hide
27:09and seek like probably three times in
27:10your relationship
27:11when you have played have you ever
27:14zipped him up in a suitcase prior no
27:16okay
27:17so it was just kind of like that prop
27:19was there and it was there and it was in
27:21play because
27:23why do you say it like that though
27:25i would never do that
27:26you would never zip them up in a
27:28suitcase
27:29well i mean i mean we were playing no i
27:31know but
27:33i'm saying well i'm talking about hide
27:34and seek which is a game so
27:37the suitcase originally is in our closet
27:40buried all the way to the back
27:42if you i don't i know the csi people saw
27:45our closet our closet needs to be
27:47cleaned out
27:48really bad my son's clothes need to be
27:51cleaned out really bad because they
