1. 0:00first of all describe what the past
2. 0:03month has been for you that's been
3. 0:05absolute terrible as it is for everyone
4. 0:07I mean you see us in Prescott you
5. 0:09haven't seen me as much in the media but
6. 0:11you see our families and the rhyme
7. 0:13oceans out there and the grief the
8. 0:18frustration you know we go through a
9. 0:21range of emotions from anger to
10. 0:23frustration to grieve for me it's a it
11. 0:29comes at different times during the day
12. 0:31two weeks ago I knew exactly what to do
13. 0:34I go to the volunteer center at the Red
14. 0:36Lion and open up the center and wait for
15. 0:39the volunteers to come and work on
16. 0:40things and and then I go out and put up
17. 0:42flyers I know exactly what to do and
18. 0:44that was gonna bring Lacey home and now
19. 0:48I don't know exactly what to do and
20. 0:51that's so frustrating that's the hardest
21. 0:53part I mean we have a core group
22. 0:55volunteer still working to get her
23. 0:58picture out there nationally through
24. 1:00corporations and organizations and
25. 1:02obviously media and other means so we
26. 1:05continue to work tirelessly many people
27. 1:09do to bring her home and we can do that
28. 1:14during the day and unfortunately at
29. 1:15night don't know what to do and the
30. 1:18grief hits and it's unbearable but you
31. 1:22you also have recognized that Lacey is
32. 1:25hurting worse than any of us she's the
33. 1:28one that's not with our family she's the
34. 1:32one that we need to find and bring home
35. 1:34that gives you focus it gives you yeah
36. 1:37yeah there are times when you just can't
37. 1:39continue and you have to you're driving
38. 1:41you have to pull over and stop and if
39. 1:42you're doing something you just can't
40. 1:45continue try Steve is didn't have a task
41. 1:50to know what to do a positive task and
42. 1:53try to try to focus on that
43. 1:56there are certain areas you can't go to
44. 1:59it's hard to go to the park it's hard to
45. 2:02go to you know it's important though
46. 2:05because these mornings when down there
47. 2:07alone yeah I feel closer to her maybe
48. 2:11that's a attempt to communicate or
49. 2:13something yeah
50. 2:17and you mentioned right off the start
51. 2:21that you haven't been in the media no it
52. 2:25was the first three days or so when she
53. 2:31disappeared it was a absolute privacy
54. 2:33issue not showing the the grief of our
55. 2:38family not exploiting that after that it
56. 2:40was a conscious decision to remain out
57. 2:42of the media I decided upon by everyone
58. 2:45in the family and the volunteers in
59. 2:48order to and I'm sorry to say it to
60. 2:50media but to keep the media here to keep
61. 2:52them hungry for you know an interview
62. 2:55with me or a picture so that they would
63. 2:57keep coming back so this story won't
64. 2:59fall through the cracks says it has
65. 3:02happened with other missing people with
66. 3:04other abductions and it's up to the
67. 3:08family to keep that going so we made
68. 3:09that conscious decision together that I
69. 3:12wouldn't speak obviously we did lots of
70. 3:14media with the rest of the family and to
71. 3:17keep them here I didn't but
72. 3:18unfortunately now the suspicions of me
73. 3:21have grown so great due to people you
74. 3:26know wondering what happened to the you
75. 3:29know inappropriate relationship that I
76. 3:31had with amber Frey that it's necessary
77. 3:37to speak it's appropriate time to in
78. 3:40order to ask people to keep looking for
79. 3:43lacy because they're not looking for
80. 3:44lacy as much as they should be right now
81. 3:46let's talk about some of those
82. 3:48suspicions because there are a lot of
83. 3:51suspicions out there I think people want
84. 3:53to know first of all why would you leave
85. 3:57lacy who is eight and a half
86. 3:58pregnant alone to go fishing on
87. 4:00Christmas Eve okay
88. 4:02our day was planned for you know
89. 4:05Christmas Eve dinner at her mom's house
90. 4:07at our mom's house preparations were all
91. 4:10made gifts done lacy was simply going to
92. 4:15be baking that day and it's not uncommon
93. 4:18for us to you know simply um
94. 4:20we have separate pursuits she does not
95. 4:23you know play golf as I do which was my
96. 4:26other option for that day and being you
97. 4:28know seven and a half months pregnant
98. 4:30she's not gonna want to go out in a boat
99. 4:32but it's simply a leisure activity to
100. 4:36pursue that day and you know was our
101. 4:39plans were you know I may not be
102. 4:43everyone's choice to do things like that
103. 4:45but it's the way our relationship works
104. 4:47I know when I approached you Oh an amber
105. 4:51Frey I told you that I would be
106. 4:54reporting that you had a girlfriend but
107. 4:56your response to me is that you had no
108. 4:58comment either way mm-hmm why didn't you
109. 5:00just come clean then I'm glad yes asks a
110. 5:03question it's simply you know wasn't
111. 5:07appropriate to comment on it and
112. 5:10unfortunately there has been a statement
113. 5:13in the press that I denied it which was
114. 5:16made with another reporter when I
115. 5:17characterized a National Inquirer
116. 5:19article as a pack of lies and I did so
117. 5:23without reading the article
118. 5:24unfortunately the article I thought to
119. 5:27include I know also included I suppose
120. 5:31life insurance policy suppose it blood
121. 5:34evidence and I forget what else but also
122. 5:37included the report of amber so I called
123. 5:43it a pack of lies not knowing that she
124. 5:45was in there so it's just not important
125. 5:48to comment about that I'm glad that ever
126. 5:52came forward let me turn that off for me
127. 5:55that's my phone unfortunately I thought
128. 5:57it was off and I let's answer that
129. 5:59question again

152. 7:19lies and that's come out as a denial
153. 7:22which is it was never intended to be I
154. 7:25simply approach that issue as it's not
155. 7:29relevant and there's no reason to
156. 7:32comment about it now there's a reason to
157. 7:34comment about the number now I'm glad
158. 7:35that amber did the press conference I'm
159. 7:38glad she came forward guess allows us it
160. 7:42allows lots of people I believe to start
161. 7:44looking for lacy again because it's
162. 7:46slacked off because of that because her
163. 7:48suspicions about me she claims you
164. 7:50deceived her she claimed ever yeah yes
165. 7:53she did not know she did not know that I
166. 7:55was married that is correct
167. 7:57and you know so I'm glad she came
168. 8:00forward I informed her that I am married
169. 8:04and of Lacey's disappearance shortly
170. 8:07after you know Christmas Eve is a couple
171. 8:11of days after Christmas Eve I don't know
172. 8:12the exact date I'm glad she did the
173. 8:14press conference I'm glad that's out
174. 8:16there it had nothing to do with Lacey's
175. 8:18disappearance your stomach must have
176. 8:20been turning though when you see her go
177. 8:22on television and it's national and
178. 8:24here's this girl saying he lied to me he
179. 8:28told me he was single true your stomach
180. 8:30must have been turning you know it is a
181. 8:32positive to allow us to go on
182. 8:35to search for lazy that's how I view and
183. 8:38that's how I felt about it

202. 9:31she would have said something to someone

204. 9:34don't know if she mentioned it to anyone
205. 9:36or not
206. 9:37I did see a report in the news interview
207. 9:40with a friend of ours Lorie that
208. 9:43indicated that she did not believe that
209. 9:46I told Lacey more I also said I know
210. 9:49Scot and he had nothing to do with her
211. 9:52disappearance and that statement to me
212. 9:55is what's relevant because you could you
213. 9:58know okay question my my morals and my
214. 10:02poor decision-making that's fine but
215. 10:05don't stop looking for Laci she's out
216. 10:07there somewhere
217. 10:08she shouldn't be she should be with our

258. 11:52called her on the 24th December 24 and
259. 11:55told her you were with your parents in
260. 11:57Maine okay that this is I called her
261. 12:05informed her about Lacey's disappearance
262. 12:07on the 24th of December no no I did not
263. 12:09there's a few days after that called her
264. 12:11and told her I was buried no claims she
265. 12:15just claims and you called her on the
266. 12:1724th told her that you were going to
267. 12:20Maine you're visiting your family Maine
268. 12:22and then you were going to Brussels

445. 19:57people out there question that if they
446. 20:01would just look at their hearts and make

451. 20:15to finding them by putting out that you
