  1. 0:00The man behind FX Replays viral back
  2. 0:02testing video of my strategy decided to
  3. 0:04join my mentorship and work with me.
  4. 0:05He's been with me for four months now
  5. 0:06and he just hit $100,000 in profit
  6. 0:09payouts. Today I want to talk with him
  7. 0:10about what he learned in the mentorship
  8. 0:12that he was not able to find out while
  9. 0:13back testing my strategy. Could you go
  10. 0:15ahead introduce yourself really quickly?
  11. 0:16>> You might recognize me from FX Replay
  12. 0:19videos. I worked with them for a little
  13. 0:20under two years testing all kinds of
  14. 0:22different strategies. You know, people
  15. 0:23made claims they'd made seven figures.
  16. 0:25We would put the strategy to the test,
  17. 0:27get some data on it. My name's also JJ
  18. 0:30for those of you that didn't know. You
  19. 0:31might also know me as Ox Fibonacci from
  20. 0:34from Discord. But yeah, excited to kind
  21. 0:36of share my journey so far a little over
  22. 0:38four months into the mentorship.
  23. 0:40>> Yeah, 100%. Well, I appreciate you
  24. 0:41coming on really quickly. Could you talk
  25. 0:42a little bit about what your prop firm
  26. 0:44trading was like? Obviously, you're very
  27. 0:45analytical in terms of your trading, but
  28. 0:47what was your prop firm trading like
  29. 0:48before working with me?
  30. 0:50>> Yeah, so um I've been trading prop firms
  31. 0:53um for several years. Um, I remember
  32. 0:55buying them way several years ago before
  33. 0:58I should have been. You know, getting
  34. 0:59access to a lot of capital for for a
  35. 1:01little bit of money seemed like a
  36. 1:03no-brainer. Um, but obviously there's a
  37. 1:05lot of challenges and things you got to
  38. 1:06work through that. So, I did really well
  39. 1:08with CFDs um, propers before they um,
  40. 1:11kind of banned everyone from the US. I
  41. 1:12think my best month was January of 2024.
  42. 1:16I did like 40K in a single month, but
  43. 1:18then like the following month they nuked
  44. 1:20>> all of those accounts. Lost like seven
  45. 1:21figures of funding. and had to kind of
  46. 1:23make the transition to futures and from
  47. 1:26a combination of kind of figuring that
  48. 1:27out but also like being super busy
  49. 1:29testing a lot of strategies trying a lot
  50. 1:31of different things. Um I you know I'm
  51. 1:32obviously a lot more rules on the on the
  52. 1:34future side. I I would say for the most
  53. 1:37part like on my future side it was a lot
  54. 1:39more boom bust you know slightly in the
  55. 1:41red um since making that transition
  56. 1:43until I started working with you
  57. 1:45>> 100%. Now, you have a lot of data,
  58. 1:47obviously, back testing a bunch of
  59. 1:48strategies, back testing my strategy,
  60. 1:50and you had a positive win rate with my
  61. 1:52strategy, but why did you decide to work
  62. 1:54with me instead of just using the
  63. 1:56strategy on your own?
  64. 1:58>> Yeah. So, I think um it was a number of
  65. 2:02reasons. First of all, I obviously liked
  66. 2:04your kind of intellectual background.
  67. 2:05I'm an actuary as well, so lots of
  68. 2:08number math, Excel sheets. I appreciated
  69. 2:10kind of the mathematical approach um
  70. 2:12that you take in terms of managing
  71. 2:14accounts, risk management, all that
  72. 2:15stuff. And also um yeah, I just uh I had
  73. 2:18a mentor in the past that didn't go so
  74. 2:20well um and really wanted to have
  75. 2:23someone like really kind of help coach
  76. 2:25me, you know, work through things. Um
  77. 2:27specifically obviously with your model,
  78. 2:29um it's going to be a lot easier to
  79. 2:30learn from the source than trying to put
  80. 2:33pieces together um over time. And yeah,
  81. 2:35I think uh what gave me confidence to
  82. 2:37really like pull the trigger was um you
  83. 2:40know, seeing just super transparent
  84. 2:42proof, refreshing pages, payouts,
  85. 2:43payouts, payouts. Like there's no
  86. 2:45question that you were making what you
  87. 2:47claim to make. And also seeing several
  88. 2:49students of yours um seeing similar
  89. 2:51results. Um and I was like, "Okay, like
  90. 2:52this seems like he's helping others kind
  91. 2:55of do the same thing and I like it makes
  92. 2:57sense like from a math perspective." So
  93. 2:58I was like, "Let's let's just do it and
  94. 3:00see what happens."
  95. 3:01>> Yeah, 100%. Is there anything that you
  96. 3:03thought about me that turned out to be
  97. 3:05not true when you ended up joining the
  98. 3:07program? Me, my strategy, my approach,
  99. 3:08anything.
  100. 3:10>> Um,
  101. 3:12I don't know if there's anything that I
  102. 3:14had like a over expectation that wasn't
  103. 3:17delivered. I think I've learned that and
  104. 3:20we'll talk a little bit more about this
  105. 3:21later, but I've learned that like you
  106. 3:23definitely don't have to like use your
  107. 3:24model specifically for in order to to do
  108. 3:28well with your kind of risk framework.
  109. 3:30So, that's kind of one thing I think a
  110. 3:31lot of people don't realize. Um, maybe
  111. 3:33they see your model as too simple or or
  112. 3:36for whatever reason don't like it. And I
  113. 3:37think
  114. 3:38>> I've definitely confirmed that like you
  115. 3:40don't have to use that to still like
  116. 3:42benefit from a lot of the other aspects
  117. 3:43of your training.
  118. 3:44>> Yep. So, to be clear, you trade your own
  119. 3:46strategy
  120. 3:48>> for the most part. Yeah. I mean, I've
  121. 3:49been journaling everything. I think it's
  122. 3:51probably somewhere around 75% of the
  123. 3:54trades I take are kind of my own models
  124. 3:57background. obviously kind of got my
  125. 3:59masters in technical analysis from
  126. 4:01>> the FX replay stuff. So, pulling in a
  127. 4:03lot of confluences and and knowledge
  128. 4:05from that, but still using some of the
  129. 4:08the things you teach in terms of fair
  130. 4:09price and, you know, especially the
  131. 4:11funded, you know, larger trades um kind
  132. 4:13of pulling in those uh to catch those
  133. 4:15larger moves.
  134. 4:16>> Yeah, 100%. And then one more thing
  135. 4:18before we get into some results and
  136. 4:19trades and that sort of stuff is your
  137. 4:23results and your strategy. You had a
  138. 4:24bunch of data. Um, I want to find out
  139. 4:27why all of that data was not turning
  140. 4:29into results, but as soon as you started
  141. 4:31working with me, it did.
  142. 4:34>> So, yeah, I was you go ahead answer what
  143. 4:38whatever you feel first. Top of mind.
  144. 4:40>> Yeah, it's it's really twofold. I think
  145. 4:42one um I realized and we've talked about
  146. 4:44this a lot in our our kind of one-on-one
  147. 4:46calls is like I had uh kind of a
  148. 4:48scarcity mindset, you know, that I had
  149. 4:51to get through to kind of eliminate my
  150. 4:53own self-sabotage. And that was kind of
  151. 4:55a to be transparent like a meditation
  152. 4:57journey that I had to work through to
  153. 5:00really get past that and and just kind
  154. 5:02of get out of my own way. So I think
  155. 5:03that was like really fundamental like
  156. 5:05starting in August um to really kind of
  157. 5:08accelerate things. And then two, I feel
  158. 5:09like just having um a coach that's done
  159. 5:13what you're trying to do and can really
  160. 5:14like specifically give you guidance on
  161. 5:17okay, you've identified these
  162. 5:18challenges, let's try these, this and
  163. 5:20this and this to kind of confront those.
  164. 5:22and like having a very specific game
  165. 5:24plan for pretty much every single week.
  166. 5:26Um it's just like helpful having that
  167. 5:27direct guidance versus, you know, kind
  168. 5:30of more generally trying to trade in a
  169. 5:33less optimal way.
  170. 5:34>> Yeah, 100%. And then about prop firms
  171. 5:37and our approach to that specifically.
  172. 5:39Anything you would say that just
  173. 5:42anything in general that you want to say
  174. 5:44about how we trade prop firms that was
  175. 5:47different than you were doing it before
  176. 5:48or that you thought you were supposed to
  177. 5:50be doing, I guess. Yeah, I mean if we go
  178. 5:53back to when I was doing so well with
  179. 5:54CFDs, it was like, you know, treating
  180. 5:56the EV vals the same way as the fondage,
  181. 5:58just slowly like, you know, getting
  182. 6:00growing the equity curve over time with
  183. 6:01consistency, taking like really, you
  184. 6:03know, selective trades and, you know,
  185. 6:06kind of growing that. But futures have
  186. 6:08so much so many different rules um
  187. 6:10compared to CFDs. And it really is like
  188. 6:13not optimal to take that same slow
  189. 6:15approach um with with most of these
  190. 6:17futures accounts just the way they're
  191. 6:19priced, the way they're structured and
  192. 6:20all the rules.
  193. 6:21>> Yep. So having not only like a more
  194. 6:24aggressive and optimal way to trade
  195. 6:26them, but also differentiating that by
  196. 6:28firm depending on the rules um is just
  197. 6:31like really shifting the I I try to
  198. 6:33explain this to friends like I feel like
  199. 6:35the methodology you share is really just
  200. 6:37like shifting the probability of traders
  201. 6:39having success more in our favor um than
  202. 6:42you know we would have otherwise.
  203. 6:44>> Yeah, 100%. So all makes sense. Let's
  204. 6:46get into some results then. Obviously
  205. 6:47you just hit 100k payouts. Yep. It's
  206. 6:49been about four months. How many sites
  207. 6:52you trading right now?
  208. 6:54>> Um, I got up to six when I was trading
  209. 6:56the 50Ks. Now that we've we're starting
  210. 6:58to scale up to the the 150s, it's uh
  211. 7:00like four right now. Um, but yeah, I was
  212. 7:03trading up to six different firms at a
  213. 7:04time. Um, lots of accounts,
  214. 7:07>> 100%. And then how does it feel in terms
  215. 7:10of like pressure, I guess, to activate
  216. 7:12and trade so many accounts at once, all
  217. 7:14with an edge?
  218. 7:17Um I think like early on it felt a lot
  219. 7:20more volatile like really experiencing
  220. 7:22that variance for the first time where
  221. 7:24some days you know 80% win rate some
  222. 7:26days 50 some days like 30 you know and
  223. 7:29seeing all the red and green across
  224. 7:30accounts like feels more significant
  225. 7:33early on but now it's just kind of the
  226. 7:35the day-to-day um expectation you know
  227. 7:38we show up try to do our best at all the
  228. 7:40different phases the eval the funded the
  229. 7:42winning days um ultimately nothing's you
  230. 7:45know you're not going crush all of them
  231. 7:46any given day. It's just trying to do
  232. 7:47your best and expecting, you know, over
  233. 7:50over the long term the numbers will play
  234. 7:51out in your favor as long as you hit,
  235. 7:53you know, reasonable rates.
  236. 7:55>> And in terms of reasonable rates, you
  237. 7:56want to talk a little bit about some
  238. 7:58statistics that you've seen through your
  239. 8:00own accounts, maybe pass rates, payout
  240. 8:02rates, anything you feel comfortable
  241. 8:03sharing, talking about that that could
  242. 8:05help people watching?
  243. 8:06>> Yeah. So, I uh again, like since we
  244. 8:08started, I've kind of been prioritizing
  245. 8:10speed over um over ROI. And so I think I
  246. 8:14I just like started going hard with like
  247. 8:1720 30 accounts, copy trading like two
  248. 8:19emails at a time, which you know meant I
  249. 8:21had a steeper learning curve at the
  250. 8:22beginning and started a little slower.
  251. 8:24But once I kind of figured it out, I was
  252. 8:26in a really good position to scale
  253. 8:27quickly. Um so early on like I was only
  254. 8:30hitting like 22 to 25% eval pass rates
  255. 8:33and my funded rate payout rate was like
  256. 8:35terrible like sub 20%. But um after like
  257. 8:39I said kind of kicking some
  258. 8:41self-sabotage and and working with you,
  259. 8:43I've like my funded rate now is kind of
  260. 8:44my best statistic um it's you know
  261. 8:47averaging 38% um since August. Um so
  262. 8:52above obviously the kind of 33% targets
  263. 8:55um tapping into additional confluences
  264. 8:57to be extra confident that these large
  265. 8:59moves are actually going to happen.
  266. 9:01>> Interesting. Okay. So, when you say
  267. 9:03additional confluences, let's talk about
  268. 9:04that for a second because something I
  269. 9:05say on my YouTube is you could have more
  270. 9:07confluences to take better setups, but
  271. 9:10you're going to get less of them. So,
  272. 9:11from what I'm hearing, what you're doing
  273. 9:13is you're taking those higher quality
  274. 9:15setups that show up less often on your
  275. 9:17more valuable accounts and taking the
  276. 9:19slightly lower quality but still plus EV
  277. 9:22approaches on maybe evals. Is something
  278. 9:25like that going on? Yeah, it's it's like
  279. 9:27I said, I think um for the evals, it's
  280. 9:29probably closer to 90% of the trades I'm
  281. 9:31taking are my own. Um if I have like two
  282. 9:34or more net confluences, I'm ripping the
  283. 9:36trade based on based on my data. Um but
  284. 9:38the funded it's probably closer to 50/50
  285. 9:41where it's like kind of things that I
  286. 9:42see myself versus your kind of standard
  287. 9:44funded meaner versions. And
  288. 9:47>> um so like it's a combination of finding
  289. 9:50those additional opportunities that
  290. 9:52maybe like your other students don't
  291. 9:54have access to from the additional
  292. 9:55technical analysis knowledge but also
  293. 9:58>> like when I see you know your funded
  294. 10:00meter version that's also you know
  295. 10:01delivering from a high time frame fair
  296. 10:03value gap or a new week opening gap or
  297. 10:06some other kind of high time frame
  298. 10:07confluence it just gives me added
  299. 10:09confidence that that trade's going to
  300. 10:10play out and maybe I'll layer like two
  301. 10:12or three funded into that instead of
  302. 10:13just one. Yeah, I remember you had a
  303. 10:15great day like two two weeks ago on a
  304. 10:17Friday.
  305. 10:18>> Yeah,
  306. 10:18>> lots of confluences. You said like so
  307. 10:19many funded had a pretty big win then.
  308. 10:21That sort of thing.
  309. 10:22>> Yeah.
  310. 10:23>> Yeah,
  311. 10:23>> that was a that was a four fourunded win
  312. 10:25day. They weren't all the same trade. Um
  313. 10:27but yeah, I like started with two, later
  314. 10:29another, and then on a pullback like put
  315. 10:31another. So it was
  316. 10:33>> Yeah, really good day. I think added
  317. 10:35like 21K in EV in a single day. Um which
  318. 10:38is pretty sweet.
  319. 10:39>> Sweet. Okay, one more thing I want to
  320. 10:41talk about um quickly is when you're
  321. 10:44trading, you might have a specific
  322. 10:48risk-to-reward that's best for X account
  323. 10:50on Y prop firm. Maybe you trade a one to
  324. 10:52two on this firm and a one to three on
  325. 10:54this firm. Obviously, when you're
  326. 10:55trading a specific strategy and you have
  327. 10:57like specific targets in the market for
  328. 10:59entries and exits, how have you found it
  329. 11:02in terms of account management of I see
  330. 11:04a one to two hour trade, so I'm going to
  331. 11:06trade this prop firm. Is it difficult?
  332. 11:08Is it easy? Is that helping you make
  333. 11:11money? What do you feel about that?
  334. 11:12>> I think like it's it's in terms of like
  335. 11:15what I'm looking for for the different
  336. 11:16types of accounts. Like I'm obviously
  337. 11:18still learning that especially as the
  338. 11:20150s start introducing additional risk
  339. 11:23changes, but um I think like in ter like
  340. 11:26really the only specific market
  341. 11:28conditions like I for those winning days
  342. 11:29I just love when we have like straight
  343. 11:31momentum and that's just like okay now
  344. 11:32I'm going to try and get those in. Um
  345. 11:34everything else is more just um trying
  346. 11:36to take what the market's giving me. Um
  347. 11:39and yeah, pivoting between accounts um
  348. 11:42based on what I need.
  349. 11:43>> Yeah, 100%. And then another thing I
  350. 11:45think that you do very well that even I
  351. 11:47could probably do better is obviously
  352. 11:49how much your data you're tracking, but
  353. 11:51you specifically you see that maybe on
  354. 11:53an Apex intraday account. your pass rate
  355. 11:55is 8% below where it's expected to be
  356. 11:58and then we together can analyze if it's
  357. 12:00statistically likely enough to where
  358. 12:02your approach to markets aren't going to
  359. 12:03work on that account and then we switch
  360. 12:04you over to a different profer or just
  361. 12:06the end of day plan on Apex because
  362. 12:08you're going to make more money on that.
  363. 12:09So I feel like that combines what you do
  364. 12:12in terms of the data, the tracking and
  365. 12:14the strategy with what I do in terms of
  366. 12:17we have this data, let's throw it onto
  367. 12:18this plan. Would you what would you say
  368. 12:20about that? Agree, disagree? Yeah, I
  369. 12:22mean at the end of the day, I think
  370. 12:24there comes a point where like
  371. 12:28the journaling is really the only way to
  372. 12:30get the data on what's working and
  373. 12:31what's not. And like that's step one.
  374. 12:34Step two is okay, how do we take this
  375. 12:35and actually like come up with a game
  376. 12:37plan? And that's like you said where
  377. 12:38some of the kind of conversations about,
  378. 12:41you know, maybe the intraday plan is the
  379. 12:43highest EV, but it's not that much more
  380. 12:45than the end of day. that might be
  381. 12:46better for you cuz yeah, I was just
  382. 12:48having a really hard time with the
  383. 12:49funded on uh that intraday plan compared
  384. 12:52to my typical funed funded win rate. So
  385. 12:55stuff like that. I think it's it's
  386. 12:56definitely helpful to have that
  387. 12:58soundboard um to kind of especially as
  388. 13:00we go into the 150s and we're just
  389. 13:02trying to optimize, you know, what's
  390. 13:04best for each of us individually.
  391. 13:07>> Yeah, 100%. And then transitioning to
  392. 13:08the 150ks which we we just started this
  393. 13:10past month. How's that going so far in
  394. 13:13terms of adding new sites, increasing
  395. 13:14your risk, bankroll management? Any
  396. 13:17opinions?
  397. 13:18>> Yeah, I mean it's definitely like a
  398. 13:20different expectation. I feel like um up
  399. 13:23until now, you know, we've been the goal
  400. 13:25is kind of to three to 4x spend and with
  401. 13:27the 150s, it's definitely just like a
  402. 13:29two to threex target really. Yeah.
  403. 13:31>> And just really uh leaning into that
  404. 13:33increasing spend um expectation that you
  405. 13:37know, you've built the foundation, you
  406. 13:38know what you're doing, you've you've
  407. 13:40got, you know, I think even just from
  408. 13:41September, I should have like 40k in
  409. 13:43payouts just from what I'd already done
  410. 13:46in September. So, like should be
  411. 13:47confident reinvesting that um to kind of
  412. 13:50keep adding fuel to the fire. And
  413. 13:51obviously with the 150s, um it's a lower
  414. 13:54ROI, but you can, you know, if you can
  415. 13:56double or triple the multi multiple five
  416. 13:58figure spend, then you're doing pretty
  417. 14:00good.
  418. 14:01>> Yeah, might as well. Um in terms of the
  419. 14:04future, where do you see yourself maybe
  420. 14:05six months from now, a year from now,
  421. 14:07just taking the same approach, scaling
  422. 14:08to more prop firms?
  423. 14:10>> Yeah, so I mean, we've we've spoken
  424. 14:12specifically about October. We'll see
  425. 14:14see how it ends up. But trying to, you
  426. 14:17know, get over that 100k business
  427. 14:19revenue goal, which is basically like
  428. 14:21payouts plus expected payouts. Um,
  429. 14:24>> you know, earning that in a in a single
  430. 14:26month. You know, probably somewhere in
  431. 14:28the ballpark of like 40k spend to do
  432. 14:30that. Um,
  433. 14:31>> and so that's kind of my short-term
  434. 14:33goal. And then longterm, um, I've, you
  435. 14:36know, mentioned this to to you, I might
  436. 14:38as well say it for the others. I think a
  437. 14:40stretch goal for me is like sometime in
  438. 14:41the next nine months like I want to have
  439. 14:43at least one month where I out earn you.
  440. 14:47>> So we'll see if we can make that happen.
  441. 14:49>> We trade slightly differently. So I
  442. 14:51could always have a slightly
  443. 14:51underperforming month and you can have a
  444. 14:53slightly overperforming month. So at
  445. 14:54some point it's definitely possible
  446. 14:56especially with the sites available to
  447. 14:57you. But uh but yeah, definitely want to
  448. 15:00keep keep doing what we're doing and
  449. 15:01maxing things out and um obviously I
  450. 15:03work full-time. So um end of October
  451. 15:06that's going to start calming down. So
  452. 15:07maybe have even more time to start, you
  453. 15:09know, trading more accounts per day than
  454. 15:11I have been, which will obviously
  455. 15:13accelerate things more too.
  456. 15:14>> Yeah, 100%. So 100K in four months while
  457. 15:16working, very impressive. If there's one
  458. 15:19last thought you could leave us off or
  459. 15:20leave people off with who are watching
  460. 15:22this, uh, what would you say to someone
  461. 15:25who was in your spot four months ago
  462. 15:26just watching the content trying to get
  463. 15:28a bunch of data? They're good at math.
  464. 15:30They're good at numbers. They're good at
  465. 15:31analyzing data, but they're just not
  466. 15:33able to make it click with profits. What
  467. 15:34would you say to someone who's in that
  468. 15:36position?
  469. 15:37>> I mean, I think there's there's a number
  470. 15:38of ways to eventually find success with
  471. 15:41trading. Um, obviously, you know, you
  472. 15:44can roll up your sleeves, get the data
  473. 15:45yourself, find the edge, practice it,
  474. 15:47and execute it. Um, it's just it's going
  475. 15:50to take a lot longer. You're gonna have
  476. 15:51to have a lot more trial and error in
  477. 15:53that process. Um, kind of the the better
  478. 15:56way and like kind of what we tried to do
  479. 15:58with FX Play is share more proven
  480. 16:00strategies where people have actually
  481. 16:01had that success to help people find
  482. 16:03those, you know, strategies, mentors,
  483. 16:05etc. sooner. Um, and obviously back it
  484. 16:07with data. So, I think um at the end of
  485. 16:10the day, like if you want this to work
  486. 16:12for you, I really encourage you to to
  487. 16:14find someone you resonate with. Um you
  488. 16:16know, obviously we're both math nerds,
  489. 16:18so I you clicked on that. Maybe that's,
  490. 16:21you know, whatever like resonates with
  491. 16:23you. Um like someone that's doing what
  492. 16:25you're doing. Um try to really like lean
  493. 16:27into what they're teaching, learn from
  494. 16:29it, and see if you can duplicate it.
  495. 16:30Whether that's, you know, learning the
  496. 16:32strategy in and out and really, you
  497. 16:33know, working on it yourself or or
  498. 16:35finding a mentorship, but at the end of
  499. 16:37the day, finding something that's that's
  500. 16:38working for others is gonna give you a
  501. 16:40better chance that what you do is going
  502. 16:41to be worth it. So, yeah, it's kind of
  503. 16:44my two cents on it.
  504. 16:45>> Yeah, 100%. I appreciate you coming on
  505. 16:47today. Any any final thoughts or are you
  506. 16:49good to go?
  507. 16:50>> No, excited to see, you know, how the
  508. 16:52next few months are going. Um, obviously
  509. 16:54last two months have been really kind of
  510. 16:56exponential growth and excited to see
  511. 16:58what we can continue to do. But, uh,
  512. 17:00yeah, appreciate everything so far and
  513. 17:02excited to keep working together
  514. 17:03>> 100%. So, first six figure profit on
  515. 17:06next goal and then maybe another
  516. 17:07interview down the line.
  517. 17:08>> Yeah, we'll see you.
  518. 17:10>> All right, perfect. Thank you.
  519. 17:11>> Cool. See it?
