2. 0:01analyst data analyst boot camp this is
3. 0:04the first video in the entire playlist
4. 0:05so if you are watching this and you have
5. 0:07no idea what's going on congratulations
6. 0:09you just unwittingly signed up for a
7. 0:11data analyst boot camp no I'm just
8. 0:13joking but I'm also being very serious
9. 0:15so before we progress into a lot of the
10. 0:17details of this data analytics boot camp
11. 0:19which is completely free on my channel I
12. 0:22am going to tell you about how this came
13. 0:23to be about three weeks ago I put out
14. 0:25this post and I'll put it somewhere on
15. 0:27the screen uh and basically it was bit
16. 0:30of satire I was mostly kind of poking
17. 0:32fun at boot camps just because they put
18. 0:34stuff together and they call it a boot
19. 0:36camp and they charge you a ton of money
20. 0:37so I was like I should start one for
21. 0:39free the response was just enormous I
22. 0:42had like 12,000 people who liked it and
23. 0:44commented on it and shared it on all
24. 0:46different places and people were like no
25. 0:47Alex you really need to do this so
26. 0:50really quickly I'm just going to read
27. 0:51what I put on LinkedIn and then we're
28. 0:53going to dive into the actual data
29. 0:54analyst boot camp so what I wrote was I
30. 0:57should set up a playlist called data
31. 0:58analyst boot camp on my YouTube Channel
32. 1:00they'll walk you through all the basics
33. 1:01of SQL Excel Tableau powerbi Python and
34. 1:04more all accompanied by projects and a
35. 1:06way to create a portfolio website for
36. 1:08free once you're done with the data
37. 1:09analyst boot camp you can go on my
38. 1:10GitHub and download the certification
39. 1:12for free then you can put data analyst
40. 1:14boot camp on your resume in your
41. 1:15experience section now if you don't know
42. 1:17me I really like satire and so again
43. 1:19that was a bit satirical I was just kind
44. 1:21of poking fun but everyone was like no
45. 1:23Alex you need to actually do this this
46. 1:25is a fantastic idea so here we are I
47. 1:27created a completely free data analyst
48. 1:29boot camp on my YouTube YouTube channel
49. 1:30I'm going to show you what it looks like
50. 1:32I'm going to walk you through it and how
51. 1:33you can get that certification at the
52. 1:34end all right so let's take a look at
53. 1:36the data analyst boot camp I was not
54. 1:38being serious about calling it The Alex
55. 1:40the analyst data analyst boot camp that
56. 1:42is a just that's insane so uh right here
57. 1:45we have our data analyst boot camp it is
58. 1:47private right now but when I release
59. 1:49this video I'll make it public so
60. 1:50everybody can see it but let's take a
61. 1:52look at what's actually in it so at the
62. 1:55very beginning we have this video how to
63. 1:57become a data analyst in 2023 this will
64. 2:00actually be the second video if you're
65. 2:01watching this video right now this one
66. 2:03will be above it but the very first like
67. 2:05real video is just this how to become a
68. 2:07data analyst and I walk through exactly
69. 2:10the steps I would take now in this boot
70. 2:12camp is basically going to mimic this
71. 2:14it's going to be teaching all the things
72. 2:16that I tell you in that video so we
73. 2:19start off with things like SQL now this
74. 2:21is right now all of this SQL Basics all
75. 2:25the way through SQL intermediate and the
76. 2:27more advanced like right here that is
77. 2:30all in Microsoft SQL Server I'm going to
78. 2:32be making an entire playlist for my SQL
79. 2:34because that has been highly recommended
80. 2:35so that everybody can do my SQL so my
81. 2:38sql's on the way and I'll eventually
82. 2:40replace this but as for right now it's
83. 2:41all in Microsoft SQL Server then if we
84. 2:43scroll down we have projects to
85. 2:45accompany this so we have the data
86. 2:47analyst portfolio project which is SQL
87. 2:50data exploration then we have a data
88. 2:52cleaning project so two projects data
89. 2:54exploration and data cleaning ones that
90. 2:55I highly recommend taking then next we
91. 2:57dive into Excel so this is all for data
92. 3:00analyst right so this is our entire
93. 3:02Excel series all the way down to our
94. 3:04full project in Excel then we go on to
95. 3:07Tableau so how to install Tableau all
96. 3:10the way down to a full project then
97. 3:12powerbi how to install it all the things
98. 3:14you need to know all the way down to a
99. 3:16full project and then we dive into
100. 3:19python so we have our whole python
101. 3:21series all the way down to and you
102. 3:23guessed it a full project now I am at
103. 3:25the very beginning of this python Series
104. 3:27this is just the python Basics with the
105. 3:29first project but I have two other
106. 3:30projects then I have an entire pandas
107. 3:32playlist and then I'm going to be making
108. 3:33a playlist on regular expression uh web
109. 3:36scraping and a ton of other things that
110. 3:37I'll also add to this boot camp so it's
111. 3:39going to get longer the more stuff I put
112. 3:42out after that I have some other
113. 3:44projects not just ones like that but I
114. 3:45have web scraping project using python
115. 3:47um API polls using python for like web
116. 3:50scraping from uh different sites then
117. 3:53near the very end we have some other
118. 3:54important ones ones like how to create a
119. 3:56portfolio website for free which is
120. 3:58taking all those projects we've done
121. 4:00throughout this entire boot camp and
122. 4:01putting it into a free website and then
123. 4:04we have creating a data analyst resume I
124. 4:06need to update this cuz this is about 2
125. 4:08years old and I'm going to create a new
126. 4:10one for this so um in the future I will
127. 4:13replace this but as of right now that's
128. 4:14the one that we have and then a the very
129. 4:16job it's tips on how to land a job using
130. 4:18LinkedIn these are real tips and real
131. 4:20methods that I would be using to help
132. 4:22you find a job once you're ready to
133. 4:23start applying and you have all of this
134. 4:25created there's one last video at the
135. 4:27very end that you cannot see which is
136. 4:28going to be how to get the certification
137. 4:30so I'm not just going to go put it out
138. 4:32there for anyone to just grab and put on
139. 4:34their resume you have to actually put in
140. 4:35the work right you have to actually take
141. 4:37these uh lessons and learn the
142. 4:39information before you get the
143. 4:40certification that's how it works now
144. 4:42I'm not going to show you where this is
145. 4:43cu it's very secret but I am going to
146. 4:45show you what it looks like now this
147. 4:47says congratulations you've completed
148. 4:49this data analys boot camp you did
149. 4:51amazing and you deserve a certification
150. 4:53or something uh to go along with it uh
151. 4:56just so you know we use the honor System
152. 4:58here okay if you took it I'm just going
153. 5:00to trust that you took it I'm not
154. 5:01verifying any of this and I have a small
155. 5:03disclaimer at the bottom basically
156. 5:04saying uh this is all a self-paced data
157. 5:07analyst boot camp completely for free so

160. 5:12know if that's necessary but let's take
161. 5:14a look right here this one's more of the
162. 5:17generic one verified data analy boot
163. 5:19camp certificate um but the other one is
164. 5:22the one that I think is personally very
165. 5:24good um and we may not even be able to
166. 5:25see it that well um but it is a
167. 5:27certificate of completion this
168. 5:29certificate is awarded to and you'll
169. 5:31fill in your name right here you'll
170. 5:32download this and you'll like fill in
171. 5:34your name and however you want to do
172. 5:36that I do it in like word um for
173. 5:38successful completion of data analytics
174. 5:40boot camp and here I have uh I signed it
175. 5:43myself because I believe in you I I I
176. 5:45believe that you wouldn't tarnish my
177. 5:47good name so uh this is going to be how
178. 5:49you do that how you look at it how you
179. 5:51actually download that certification but
180. 5:53you will only be able to see that in the
181. 5:55very last video so that is the Alex
182. 5:57analyst data analyst boot camp I'm
183. 5:59actually really excited about this and
184. 6:01one of the best parts for me is I didn't
185. 6:03have to do that much additional work it
186. 6:05was already all there all those courses
187. 6:07all those tutorials all those projects
188. 6:09are all already on my channel I've just
189. 6:11kind of organized them so that you don't
190. 6:13have to go and try to figure it out
191. 6:14yourself so I genuinely hope that this
192. 6:16helps somebody out there land a job and
193. 6:18learn these skills completely for free
194. 6:20because data analytics should not be
195. 6:22expensive especially the beginner stuff
196. 6:24it should just be all available in my
197. 6:25opinion I don't think we should be
198. 6:27charging for basic stuff like this so
