- 0:31AML is becoming the brain of the future
- 0:34technologies. XR is becoming the no
- 0:38eyes, ears, nose, tongue and hands of
- 0:41this future technologies. XR extended
- 0:44reality includes virtual reality,
- 0:46augmented reality and mixed reality and
- 0:49haptics. In this course, you're going to
- 0:52learn the fundamentals of XR from the
- 0:55global leaders. Oculus co-founders,
- 0:58Professor Steve Lavali and Professor
- 1:00Anna Lavali are going to join with me to
- 1:03teach you the the fundamentals of XR.
- 1:06This course covers both fundamental and
- 1:08practical aspects of virtual and
- 1:10extended reality which is an emerging
- 1:12technology that will transform our lives
- 1:14in every aspect including the way we
- 1:16learn, explore, work, improve our
- 1:20health, play games, and just hang out
- 1:22together for fun. It works by creating
- 1:25illusions in the form of interactive
- 1:27perceptual experiences. In other words,
- 1:30it fools your brain and body. In the
- 1:32course, we explain how this exciting
- 1:34technology works, including human
- 1:36psychology and physiology, optical
- 1:38engineering, computer graphics, sensors,
- 1:41and tracking. We also cover how to make
- 1:43great experiences using the latest
- 1:44tricks, and the Unity development
- 1:46platform. Most importantly, we show how
- 1:49to do it all on platforms that cost
- 1:51under 1,000 rupees, making it accessible
- 1:53to almost everyone. This course was
- 1:56created in a joint effort between IIT
- 1:58Madras and the University of Olu in
- 2:00Finland. Combined, the instructors have
- 2:02decades of experience in virtual reality
- 2:05research and education and played a
- 2:07critical role in the development of the
- 2:09Oculus Rift, which was a milestone of
- 2:12technological progress in this area. XR
- 2:15wave is the next big wave. It is bigger
- 2:18than the current a IML wave which are
- 2:20all going through. If you want to stay
- 2:22ahead of the curve, it is time to get
- 2:25ready for the XR wave. Who can attend
- 2:28this course? This course is open to
- 2:30anyone who is interested in the XR.
- 2:34Whether it is the beginner or
- 2:37expert, whether they are experienced in
- 2:40already some game engines like Unity 3D
- 2:43or Unreal Engine, they will find
- 2:46valuable insights to add value to their
- 2:49career. This is designed for the
- 2:51students, faculty and working
- 2:53professionals irrespective of the
- 2:55background. This course is going to add
