  17. 0:34money today in testimony we learned that
  18. 0:37it wasn't just safeway that it invested
  19. 0:39big dollars in theranos it was also
  20. 0:42walgreens as they too plan to put the
  21. 0:44theronauts blood testing machines in
  22. 0:47front of customers
  23. 0:51elizabeth holmes looked on stoically as
  24. 0:53the former chief financial officer of
  25. 0:55walgreens testified that holmes
  26. 0:58convinced the drug giant to both invest
  27. 1:00in the palo alto startup and to put its
  28. 1:03blood testing machines in walgreens
  29. 1:05stores she is a great promoter and i
  30. 1:09think that's evident by these witnesses
  31. 1:11just talking about how convincing she
  32. 1:13could be wade michelon also told jurors
  33. 1:16that walgreens invested 40 million
  34. 1:18dollars into theranos when he left the
  35. 1:20company there were 40 machines in place
  36. 1:23he testified that walgreens plan to
  37. 1:25eventually put many labs in all of its
  38. 1:28stores to let customers get tested on
  39. 1:31the theranos devices when they start
  40. 1:33investing in theranose you now take this
  41. 1:36from a arm's length transaction to a
  42. 1:39fiduciary responsibility where miss
  43. 1:41holmes needs to be disclosing more
  44. 1:44information when you're asking people to
  45. 1:46invest michelan says they chose
  46. 1:48theranose because they were led to
  47. 1:50believe it was the farthest along in its
  48. 1:52testing admitting he knew other
  49. 1:55companies including safeway were also
  50. 1:57interested in the theranose machines so
  51. 2:00there was pressure to move fast
  52. 2:05another issue that came up today should

  54. 2:09jurors filled out ahead of the trial be
  55. 2:11made public now during the trial some
  56. 2:14legal analysts tell us that could have a
  57. 2:16chilling effect on the jury not just for
  58. 2:18this trial but for future juries as well
  59. 2:20at this point judge davila says he's not
  60. 2:23yet ready to make a decision live in san
