7. 0:14nearly 20 years ago today scrushy stood
8. 0:17outside the courthouse where a jury
9. 0:18found him guilty claiming they got it

13. 0:30over almost 20 years now under a black
14. 0:31cloud but Richard scrushy says new
15. 0:33evidence is Shining Light on his case
16. 0:35and he says it proves he was wrongfully
17. 0:38prosecuted it's important because of my
18. 0:40family my children are living a life
19. 0:43with a cloud over them that their dad
20. 0:44was a federal criminal that's a lie an
21. 0:47emotional scrushy stood in front of the
22. 0:49federal courthouse in Montgomery where
23. 0:51he was convicted alongside former
24. 0:53Governor Don seagan in 2006 in a
25. 0:56government corruption case former
26. 0:58longtime seagan Aid Nick bile provided
27. 1:00the key testimony that led to the
28. 1:02conviction scrushy says Bailey has now
29. 1:05recanted and is willing to testify he
30. 1:08said to me he said put me on the stand
31. 1:10put me under oath I'll tell exactly the
32. 1:12truth you did nothing wrong Richard
33. 1:15that's the only witness they had scrushy
34. 1:17also says the prosecution failed to turn
35. 1:19over evidence we have a statement from
36. 1:22Nick Bailey that says that he met with
37. 1:24the federal government over 70 times he
38. 1:26said 24 of those times he was talking
39. 1:29specifically about Governor Sigman and I
40. 1:32it's 19302 the FBI did not turn over to
41. 1:35us that the federal prosecutors are
42. 1:37required by law to turn over us we
43. 1:38didn't get them folks scrushy spent 5
44. 1:41years in prison he's now asking the
45. 1:43Department of Justice to investigate and
46. 1:45president Donald Trump's new pardons are
47. 1:47to look into the case his attorney Tommy
48. 1:50gallion plans to file a motion to
49. 1:52reverse the convictions and he made it
50. 1:54clear he's going after those who locked
51. 1:57up scrushy and seagan and I have one
52. 1:59word for them buckle your up it's a
53. 2:05federal crime what they did they need to
54. 2:08go to prison the prosecutors have had
55. 2:10their fund they got their promotions
56. 2:12it's time now for them to pay their dues
57. 2:14scrushy says he has been in contact with
58. 2:16seagan scrushy says the former Governor
59. 2:18is 100% behind his legal efforts Sally
60. 2:21pittz WSFA 12 news and scrushy has
61. 2:25created a website where he says he's
62. 2:27uploading all the evidence he has
63. 2:30uncovered the US attorney's office said
64. 2:32it could not comment on the case
