Fix These 5 Kitchen Sections & Elevation Mistakes FAST — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Most kitchen drawing mistakes don't
- 0:01actually show up in the plan, they show
- 0:03up [music] in the section. And if you're
- 0:04an interior designer or architect,
- 0:06chances are you're probably making at
- 0:07[music] least one of them. In this
- 0:08video, I'll walk you through five common
- 0:10mistakes when creating kitchen sections
- 0:12and elevations, and how to fix them so
- 0:14your drawings are clearer, faster to
- 0:16produce, and easier for both clients and
- 0:18contractors [music] to understand.
- 0:22Kitchen plans might look perfect from
- 0:24above, [music] but sections and
- 0:25elevations are actually where the real
- 0:26design gets tested. This is where you
- 0:29validate ergonomics, appliance
- 0:31clearances, cabinet alignment, [music]
- 0:32and how the kitchen actually works in
- 0:34real life. In this tutorial, we'll walk
- 0:36through five common mistakes that
- 0:37[music] designers make when creating
- 0:39their kitchen sections and elevations,
- 0:41and I'll show you some simple ways to
- 0:42fix [music] them using Rayon. So, your
- 0:44drawings stay accurate, consistent, and
- 0:46presentation ready. And if you want to
- 0:48follow along and try these techniques
- 0:49for yourself, you can try Rayon for free
- 0:51using the link below in the description.
- 0:52[music]
- 0:53Let's get started with the first
- 0:54mistake. The first common mistake that I
- 0:56see when drawing [music] kitchen
- 0:57sections is ignoring the vertical
- 0:59ergonomics. When designers focus on only
- 1:02the plan layout, they often miss those
- 1:05important vertical clearances, and
- 1:06[music] this can lead to upper cabinets
- 1:08that are too low, range hoods that feel
- 1:10cramped, or um appliances that simply
- 1:13just don't fit comfortably underneath
- 1:14the cabinets. And the solution is really
- 1:17simple. We just want to make sure that
- 1:18we validate our design [music] in
- 1:19section view.
- 1:21So,
- 1:23we're going to use the section to check
- 1:24our key height benchmarks like [music]
- 1:27countertop height, backsplash height,
- 1:29upper cabinet clearance, hood height,
- 1:31[music]
- 1:31and then we'll review these vertical
- 1:33relationships early on, and that's
- 1:36[music] going to ensure that the
- 1:37appliances fit properly, cabinets are
- 1:39comfortable to use, the kitchen works
- 1:41ergonomically
- 1:42>> [music]
- 1:42>> for the person using the space. So,
- 1:45let's take a look at our drawing here.
- 1:48Um we'll go into our uh model canvas
- 1:50over here, and you can see that we've
- 1:52got [music] our kitchen in plan version
- 1:55and floor plan, um kind of a work in
- 1:57And then we've also got uh [music] a a
- 1:59straight-on elevation as well as some
- 2:01section cuts through the cabinetry. So,
- 2:04let's take a look [music] at how not,
- 2:06you know, utilizing your sections
- 2:08for these vertical clearances could
- 2:10impact your design. [music] So, if we're
- 2:12just looking straight up at this floor
- 2:13plan, this is not telling us a whole
- 2:15lot. Obviously, we can see that it's
- 2:16still a work in progress. We need to get
- 2:18a refrigerator in here to fill this
- 2:20slot. And while we have some dimensions,
- 2:23it's still very uncertain what this
- 2:24looks like [music] from an elevation
- 2:26view. So, that's kind of where this
- 2:28comes in handy
- 2:30here in Rayon, where you can kind of
- 2:32stack these drawings so they relate to
- 2:35each other.
- 2:36So, here I've got my plan, and then this
- 2:38is kind of like a head-on view, and we
- 2:40can see how these relate to each other.
- 2:41They actually like align with each
- 2:43[music] other. And then you pop over
- 2:44here, and again, these sections align
- 2:47with the elevation. [music]
- 2:49So, if we go into our floor plan here,
- 2:51we can see our overall dimension. We've
- 2:52[music] got 410 cm.
- 2:55Going down here to our interior
- 2:58elevation, if we do throw a dimension on
- 3:00[music] there from corner to corner,
- 3:02that should match up. So, 4.1 m, and
- 3:06then we'll drop that dimension right
- 3:07there. [music]
- 3:08So, obviously we know that that matches
- 3:10up with the floor plan.
- 3:12But then also
- 3:13super helpful in elevation, you can
- 3:15[music] dimension over here as well. So,
- 3:18we can get like our overall dimension
- 3:19here,
- 3:20our [music]
- 3:22vertical dimension, and that kind of
- 3:23starts telling the story a little bit
- 3:25more about how this [music] is actually
- 3:26going to look in real life. And then you
- 3:28can use all these dimensions, of course,
- 3:30[music] as well to relate over here to
- 3:32your section cuts, which are going to be
- 3:33a little bit more detailed look inside
- 3:35the cabinetry, a little bit more of
- 3:36like, how do you construct [music] this
- 3:37type of thing. Now, it is important to
- 3:39note that standard dimensions are going
- 3:40to vary by kitchen type and even by like
- 3:43whichever country you're in.
- 3:45But there are benchmarks and best
- 3:46practices to follow, and it's just
- 3:47always a [music] good idea to consult
- 3:49with the kitchen company or carpenter,
- 3:51whoever you're working with to
- 3:53validate your numbers. Now, while we're
- 3:55kind of in here, we can touch on [music]
- 3:57issue number two, which is misaligning
- 4:00cabinetry and appliance dimensions
- 4:02across drawings. And that's kind of
- 4:03[music] where it's nice to just kind of
- 4:05have this working canvas where we can
- 4:06have all of our dimensions, all of our
- 4:08drawings kind of [music] relating to
- 4:09each other because cabinetry and
- 4:11appliance heights can easily become
- 4:13super inconsistent between your plans,
- 4:15your sections, [music] and your
- 4:16elevations. A cabinet that aligns
- 4:18perfectly in the plan might suddenly
- 4:20appear higher or lower in the elevation,
- 4:22>> [music]
- 4:22>> which obviously creates confusion and
- 4:24potential construction errors down the
- 4:26line. The simple solution here is to
- 4:28work with a clear building grid and
- 4:30synchronize views. By anchoring your
- 4:32design to a grid [music] and
- 4:33coordinating your drawings across views,
- 4:35you ensure that cabinetry, appliances,
- 4:37and key reference [music] lines stay
- 4:39perfectly aligned throughout the entire
- 4:40set of drawings. So, in order to do
- 4:42that, we're just going to create a layer
- 4:44in here and basically make ourselves a
- 4:46grid. Obviously, I already have the plan
- 4:48and the section drawn, but you can use
- 4:50this [music] as you are drawing as well,
- 4:52and it makes it even easier. So, we'll
- 4:55just go over here to our layers and
- 4:56click the plus button, and I'm just
- 4:57going to say new layer.
- 4:59We'll call it guidelines. And then
- 5:01[music] we'll make sure that we're on
- 5:02the layer to start placing our
- 5:03guidelines. Now, all you need to do is
- 5:06down here under [music] shapes, click
- 5:08guideline. I like to click this little
- 5:10loop button right here [music] because
- 5:12what that allows me to do is just click
- 5:13multiple guidelines
- 5:15at once. You can also set them to
- 5:17horizontal or vertical or diagonal
- 5:18[music]
- 5:19or free.
- 5:20So, let's do a couple of horizontal or
- 5:23sorry, vertical ones first [music] to
- 5:25kind of line up our plan with our
- 5:26elevation. Again, you can see how this
- 5:28would be helpful when you're actually
- 5:29drawing [music]
- 5:31because
- 5:32you know, say you're drawing in plan and
- 5:34then you want [music] to start your
- 5:35elevation, it's really simple to just
- 5:37kind of start clicking. So, see I just
- 5:39click and this is where the loop comes
- 5:40in handy because I'm just clicking on
- 5:42important corners, I guess, or lines.
- 5:45>> [music]
- 5:45>> So, like I know that I want to make sure
- 5:47that this refrigerator area is aligned
- 5:50[music] with my elevation down here.
- 5:52Uh, maybe you want to make sure that
- 5:54your sink is aligned. [music]
- 5:56We've got some sink lines going, too.
- 5:58And then, of course, any other thing
- 5:59that uh, you might want to line up. So,
- 6:01there's our grids right there. Uh, you
- 6:03can also change the color of those. So,
- 6:05let's see here. [music] We'll change
- 6:06those to maybe red, so we can see them a
- 6:08little bit better.
- 6:09And uh, we could make these a little bit
- 6:12thicker. Okay. So, I think that is
- 6:14helpful already. I can see how um, this
- 6:17plan is starting to relate to my
- 6:19elevation. But then, now let's help our
- 6:21elevation relate to [music] our section
- 6:24cuts. So, again, we want to just go grab
- 6:26that guideline right here. [music]
- 6:30Um, I'm going to change it to
- 6:31horizontal. I'm going to keep it on
- 6:32loop. And I'm just going to again place
- 6:35it on the important uh,
- 6:36>> [music]
- 6:37>> lines. So, my top line, I'm going to do
- 6:39bottom of cabinetry,
- 6:41>> [music]
- 6:41>> top of counter top. Let's do bottom of
- 6:44counter top. And then, ground level.
- 6:47>> [music]
- 6:47>> So, now
- 6:49we hit done, and we've got all of these
- 6:50guidelines now relating to our sections.
- 6:52[music]
- 6:53And again, if you even if you just
- 6:55pretend that these sections aren't here,
- 6:57uh, that obviously helps you draw the
- 6:58[music] sections in the long run because
- 7:00you have these easy guidelines to just
- 7:02um, literally guide you uh,
- 7:04>> [music]
- 7:04>> to drawing at the correct heights. And
- 7:06if we want to go ahead and make these
- 7:08lines red as well, we can actually just
- 7:09select the lines that we just drew.
- 7:12And [music]
- 7:12uh, grab our little pick style eye
- 7:15dropper and eye drop the last ones
- 7:16[music] that we did. And now those are
- 7:18red, as well. So, now we have all of
- 7:21these guidelines just on [music] this
- 7:23guideline layer over here. If you want
- 7:24to be able to toggle those on and off
- 7:26um, visibility-wise, just make sure
- 7:28that's not your current layer. So, set a
- 7:30different layer to your current layer,
- 7:31and then you can just uh, click the
- 7:33eyeball on and off.
- 7:34So, uh, those obviously help you kind of
- 7:37keep everything in line. Now, if we
- 7:38wanted [music] to even copy and paste
- 7:43this floor plan over here and maybe
- 7:46>> [music]
- 7:46>> turn it
- 7:47to make sure that we have that aligned
- 7:50with our sections down here. You can do
- 7:52that as well. So, if I just kind of line
- 7:54these up [music]
- 7:55and again, we can get another guideline
- 7:57out here.
- 7:58So, we can kind of do that and [music]
- 8:01turn our guidelines back on and then
- 8:04make this our current layer
- 8:06>> [music]
- 8:07>> guidelines and maybe throw in a couple
- 8:09vertical here, so we could do [music]
- 8:12a vertical line there, there, and then
- 8:15maybe like at [music] the end of the
- 8:16counter top.
- 8:17And hit done. And again, if you want to
- 8:19match those to the red, uh that's
- 8:21[music] great, too. Um but, you can see
- 8:23that those help us kind of stay stay
- 8:26aligned here um in our [music] section
- 8:28as well. This ultimately just kind of
- 8:30helps us validate um that the different
- 8:32drawings that we have in here are the
- 8:34[music] correct size, correct depth,
- 8:36correct scale, um and ultimately just
- 8:39keeps everything [music]
- 8:40on track. Now, another common mistake,
- 8:42which is our mistake number three, uh
- 8:44using different CAD blocks for the same
- 8:46element across drawings. And this is
- 8:47truly one of my favorite parts about
- 8:49Riyan. It makes this part [music] so
- 8:51easy, but designers do often grab blocks
- 8:53from different sources online and it's
- 8:55surprisingly hard to find matching
- 8:56blocks for plan, elevation, and section
- 8:58views of the same
- 9:00>> [music]
- 9:00>> cabinet, appliance, uh whatever it is,
- 9:03furniture, any of that kind of stuff.
- 9:05And as a result, the element uh
- 9:07>> [music]
- 9:07>> might actually look one way in the plan
- 9:09and then slightly different in the front
- 9:10or the side view. The alternative is
- 9:13drawing each view manually, which
- 9:14quickly becomes [music] very
- 9:15time-consuming and completely
- 9:17unnecessary um especially when you need
- 9:19multiple appliances and cabinetry
- 9:21[music] elements. So, our solution here,
- 9:23our easy solution, our easy button is
- 9:25[music] to work with a consistent block
- 9:28library.
- 9:29So, using Riyan's block library is going
- 9:31to give [music] you ready-to-use blocks
- 9:33that already include coordinated plan,
- 9:35elevation, and section views, helping
- 9:37you maintain consistent [music] accurate
- 9:38drawings without spending hours
- 9:40searching or redrawing the same
- 9:41elements.
- 9:43So, I can go ahead and show you Ryan's
- 9:45block library over here. So, right
- 9:47underneath layers where we just were,
- 9:49we'll go to blocks. [music]
- 9:50Make sure that we're in libraries here.
- 9:52And we're going to go search for [music]
- 9:54refrigerator blocks. So, we can find a
- 9:57refrigerator block that works in plan as
- 9:59well as elevation. And again, Ryan makes
- 10:01it super easy because each one of their
- 10:03[music] blocks has three different
- 10:04views. So, if I click here under
- 10:06libraries, you'll see this is just
- 10:08[music] kind of like the categorized
- 10:09version of the block library. There are
- 10:12so many good options in here.
- 10:14>> [music]
- 10:14>> Tons of basic blocks as well as
- 10:16parametric blocks.
- 10:18And then also we have the opportunity to
- 10:20generate blocks with the AI panel.
- 10:22>> [music]
- 10:23>> So, right in here we're just going to
- 10:24search for refrigerator and we're going
- 10:26to click on blocks so it searches the
- 10:28blocks.
- 10:29And we'll just pick any of these that we
- 10:31desire. So, I'm going to click on this
- 10:33one right here. I'll hit open. You can
- 10:35see when I click open, it has a top
- 10:37view, a front view, and a [music] side
- 10:39view. And these are all to scale. So,
- 10:41that makes it easier on me. So, I can
- 10:43just drag and drop my plan view [music]
- 10:46refrigerator and just drop that into my
- 10:49little fridge opening here.
- 10:51And then additionally, I've already got
- 10:54elevation [music] view over here. And I
- 10:56can just drag and drop that right into
- 10:58my opening in elevation. And then if we
- 11:00had a section cut through that as well,
- 11:02we could [music] easily just drag and
- 11:03drop the section cut of the refrigerator
- 11:06and use that in
- 11:08>> [music]
- 11:08>> the section as well. So, it makes it
- 11:10just super easy.
- 11:12You don't [music] have to go search for
- 11:13a bunch of things. You don't have to try
- 11:14to manually draw anything. The block
- 11:16library is truly amazing and you [music]
- 11:19can almost certainly find what you're
- 11:21looking for in there. Now, you can of
- 11:22course also kind of develop your own
- 11:25custom block library. If there are a lot
- 11:28of different blocks that you tend to use
- 11:30on the same projects, [music]
- 11:31there is
- 11:32loads of more information on our YouTube
- 11:34channel
- 11:35>> [music]
- 11:36>> if you want to learn how to do that.
- 11:37Moving on to common mistake number four,
- 11:40which is [music] presenting raw
- 11:41technical drawings to clients. This is
- 11:44very sad when I see this happening
- 11:45because there are
- 11:46>> [music]
- 11:47>> so many easy ways to kind of spruce up
- 11:48your drawings to make them a little bit
- 11:50more understandable to clients. [music]
- 11:52And you know, while these drawings are
- 11:54useful for documentation, they are
- 11:56difficult for just the average client to
- 11:58read and understand which often kind of
- 12:00makes [music] the presentation feel a
- 12:01little bit more unfinished or maybe even
- 12:03just too technical.
- 12:05>> [music]
- 12:05>> And the solution here is to just use
- 12:08some styles to spruce these up a little
- 12:09bit. So,
- 12:11if we go over here to our canvases,
- 12:14[music] we'll go to our original DWG
- 12:17import here. Which this is just basic
- 12:19line work that was imported from CAD.
- 12:21While this might be helpful to a
- 12:23contractor, a client might look at this
- 12:26and be like, "What am I looking at?"
- 12:28[music] So, you can see the difference
- 12:29between you know, presenting something
- 12:31like this, which is very simple black
- 12:33white drawing, and presenting something
- 12:36like this, which has a little bit more
- 12:38color and depth and [music] materiality.
- 12:41It's a little bit more understandable to
- 12:43a client. [music] So, there's an easy
- 12:45way to kind of spruce these up and
- 12:47that's just by
- 12:48adding styles in here. So,
- 12:51I won't go too far into this,
- 12:52but just to show you how you can
- 12:54>> [music]
- 12:55>> add styles.
- 12:57The first thing that I'm going to do
- 12:58here is I'm actually just going to add
- 13:00in like a backsplash here. [music]
- 13:02So, first thing I do is go down to my
- 13:04shapes and I'm going to grab a
- 13:06rectangle. You could also use the zone
- 13:08tool.
- 13:09There's a couple different ways to do
- 13:10this, but I'm basically just going to
- 13:12draw a rectangle over [music] the
- 13:13section that I want to stylize.
- 13:16Obviously, you can see that it's black,
- 13:17which is not helpful.
- 13:19>> [music]
- 13:19>> But if we just go over here to our
- 13:21shapes and styles,
- 13:23we can add in ourselves a new [music]
- 13:25style. So, I'm just going to click here.
- 13:27Right now it's solid black, but if you
- 13:29kind of click between these, you can see
- 13:30that there are a lot of different
- 13:31options [music] for um ways to stylize
- 13:35this rectangle that we just drew.
- 13:37So, you've [music] got your solids,
- 13:39you've got your gradients, you've got
- 13:40texture, which if you click here, you
- 13:42can see that there are already some
- 13:43pre-built [music]
- 13:44nice little uh
- 13:47images for us to use. Uh there's also
- 13:50hatch patterns, which there are a ton of
- 13:52those, which [music] are very helpful,
- 13:54especially You know, these are a little
- 13:55bit more simple, but uh still adding in
- 13:58a little bit of
- 13:59>> [music]
- 14:00>> detail, I think really helps kind of
- 14:01sell the story.
- 14:03Uh you can also easily transform these.
- 14:05So, if the scale is too large, you can
- 14:07see these look really large. You can go
- 14:09to edit and uh make them smaller,
- 14:11bigger. Uh you can also rotate them. So,
- 14:16[music] you know, if you wanted them
- 14:17rotated. Um another nice feature is that
- 14:20you can change the opacity. So, [music]
- 14:22if it's like a little too in your face,
- 14:23you can just kind of take the opacity
- 14:25down. And now you can see it's like a
- 14:26little bit of a lighter gray. You
- 14:28[music] can even make it a little bit
- 14:29lighter. But, see how it just kind of
- 14:31like gives it a little bit more style,
- 14:33little more something [music]
- 14:34to kind of understand that okay, that is
- 14:36the backsplash that I'm looking at.
- 14:38That's kind of just the easy way to add
- 14:39styles. You can also easily colorize
- 14:41[music] these. So, um you know, if you
- 14:43wanted the color to be something more
- 14:45interesting
- 14:46>> [music]
- 14:47>> or more representative of what you're
- 14:48actually using.
- 14:50Um I'm a big fan of just using the
- 14:52textures that they have in here.
- 14:54Um
- 14:54>> [music]
- 14:55>> sometimes most of the time I can find
- 14:57something that I like. You know, if you
- 14:59want to Let's see here. Let's make those
- 15:01like a little bit smaller. 0.5. We're
- 15:04going to take that rectangle and move it
- 15:06below
- 15:07the other layers, so that way it's
- 15:09actually in the back. [music] And uh now
- 15:11you know, you kind of start adding a
- 15:12little bit of depth and texture to the
- 15:14view. [music] And now, of course, if you
- 15:16wanted to also like fill these uh
- 15:19cabinets, you could do that as well. So,
- 15:21you know, maybe you know that you're
- 15:22using some kind of wood cabinet [music]
- 15:24uh texture or
- 15:26um some sort of like plastic laminate,
- 15:27we'll just detach the style that's
- 15:29[music] on there right now.
- 15:31Easily
- 15:32uh even just, you know, give it a little
- 15:34bit of a color [music] just to kind of
- 15:36indicate the vibe you're going for. Um I
- 15:39think that really helps. So, [music]
- 15:41even just adding a little bit of color,
- 15:42I think helps if you don't want to go
- 15:44full on material [music] texture look.
- 15:46It's super easy to do and completely
- 15:48worth it in my opinion. Now, those were
- 15:50all the textures that I showed you that
- 15:52are kind of like already built in to
- 15:54Reyon, but you can also import custom
- 15:56materials to better simulate the final
- 15:58look of [music] the kitchen um simply
- 16:00back in here. You can import your own
- 16:02image right here. So, if there are
- 16:04specific materials that you want to load
- 16:06in, uh you [music] can easily do that as
- 16:07well. And final mistake that I see is
- 16:11not leveraging AI in your design
- 16:14workflow and completely relying on
- 16:16manual workflows. Creating multiple
- 16:18variations, refining drawings, and
- 16:20preparing visuals for clients [music]
- 16:21can take a lot of time when everything
- 16:23is done manually. So, the solution is to
- 16:25just start integrating AI into your
- 16:27workflow. [music]
- 16:28Uh AI-powered tools can help you work
- 16:30faster, generate iterations, and extract
- 16:32more value from the drawings that you've
- 16:34already created, turning [music] them
- 16:35into clear visuals that help clients
- 16:37better understand and experience the
- 16:39design. So, the AI panel that I
- 16:41mentioned earlier is right here under AI
- 16:43chat, [music] and you can use this for
- 16:46tons of different things. Like I said,
- 16:47you can generate CAD blocks from it, you
- 16:50can generate [music] axonometrics from
- 16:52it, you can uh you know, have it change
- 16:55certain things in an image, you can
- 16:57apply materials to [music] different
- 16:59things. But, I'd say that my one of my
- 17:01favorite parts is that it can make a 3D
- 17:03axonometric of your drawing. So, let's
- 17:06pop over to our original drawing uh
- 17:09>> [music]
- 17:09>> right here. And all we need to do in the
- 17:11AI chat is to simply [music] take a
- 17:14screenshot of whichever view we want it
- 17:16to look at. So, I'm going to say add
- 17:18screenshot [music] down here.
- 17:20Take a screenshot of that guy.
- 17:22And then under tools, we're going to say
- 17:24create [music] axonometry.
- 17:28And we don't even have to prompt it
- 17:29anything else. It's going to basically
- 17:31take that and interpret it [music] and
- 17:33make um
- 17:35a little 3D view for us. So, let's
- 17:37[music] just hit send and see what it
- 17:38does. All right, so here we have it. We
- 17:40can hit preview and see what it did. So,
- 17:42it looks like it did a pretty good job.
- 17:44You know, it understood that that upper
- 17:45cabinets were blue. Um it's got the
- 17:48hatch [music] pattern on the backsplash.
- 17:50It's got all of our appliances. Um so,
- 17:52what we can do is we can just say insert
- 17:54image.
- 17:55And now we've got, you know, a little
- 17:57bit more of a representation of what
- 17:59this looks like in [music] real life.
- 18:00You can see how we've gone from
- 18:02basically having this very simple plan
- 18:04to an elevation to now a [music] 3D view
- 18:07that we didn't even have to 3D model.
- 18:09The cool thing is, too, that once you
- 18:11generate this image, [music] um you can
- 18:12go back to tools and you can actually
- 18:14stylize it. So, if you want it to just
- 18:16look like a clay model, you [music] can
- 18:18also have it uh use like a mood board
- 18:21and apply um different materials and
- 18:23textures to [music] the 3D axon. You can
- 18:26also make it realistic. So, if we say
- 18:29over here, if we say stylize render,
- 18:32let's say use selected image [music] cuz
- 18:33we're selecting the image. And then
- 18:36we've got stylize render, so we'll hit
- 18:38send [music] there.
- 18:39We'll look at how a rendered view of
- 18:41this might look, and then I will show
- 18:42you my presentation.
- 18:44>> [music]
- 18:45>> Okay, and here we have it. Let's hit
- 18:47preview. So, it looks like it just kind
- 18:49of took our basic view and kind of just
- 18:51[music] added some realistic uh you
- 18:54know, a little bit of reflection on the
- 18:56materials and [music] uh
- 18:58a little bit more like depth and shadow.
- 19:01So, we can say insert image there.
- 19:03And now we have, you know, a 3D
- 19:05rendering of that, which is really cool.
- 19:07And let's take a look at how everything
- 19:09comes together in [music] a
- 19:10presentation. So, back into my interior
- 19:13design presentation canvas, this is kind
- 19:15of how everything came together. Now,
- 19:17the cool thing about this presentation
- 19:20uh sheet is that
- 19:21>> [music]
- 19:21>> I can easily share this as a URL link,
- 19:24or you can just do traditional like PDF
- 19:27image download if that works better for
- 19:28you, but the I think [music] that the
- 19:30URL share is really nice because it just
- 19:32basically sends the client a link, and
- 19:34then [music] they can just kind of
- 19:36scroll through the presentation in this
- 19:37webpage, and then you can always update
- 19:39it and then send them another link.
- 19:40>> [music]
- 19:41>> Um so, it makes the interaction a lot
- 19:43easier, but
- 19:45uh I think this came together really
- 19:46well. It's got your elevation, a little
- 19:49bit of uh the 3D axon, some sections, as
- 19:52well as our plan, and then a couple
- 19:54callouts for
- 19:55>> [music]
- 19:55>> specific appliances and furniture. And
- 19:58it was as easy as that. The cool thing
- 20:00is that this was created end-to-end
- 20:01[music]
- 20:02in Rayon, and if you want any more
- 20:05information on uh how to create
- 20:07presentations like that, you can visit

- 20:10more. So, those are the five common
- 20:12kitchen section and elevation mistakes
- 20:14and how to fix them. Even if you just
- 20:15implement a few of these techniques,
- 20:17your drawings will become clearer, more
- 20:19consistent, [music] and ultimately much
- 20:21easier for contractors and clients to
