  1. 0:00hello my friends I'm Dennis Prager
  2. 0:01welcome to my home I always emphasize it
  3. 0:03as my home for our unscripted completely
  4. 0:07spontaneous weekly fireside chat I just
  5. 0:11I mean just flew in from Washington DC I
  6. 0:15mean I'm in the Los Angeles area and I
  7. 0:19was in Washington to testify in the US
  8. 0:22Senate invited by Senator Ted Cruz to
  9. 0:25testified his Subcommittee on the
  10. 0:27Judiciary about the subject of what is
  11. 0:31happening to Prager University
  12. 0:33videos at the Google / YouTube Google
  13. 0:37owns YouTube 56 of our 325 minute videos
  14. 0:43are on the restricted list I'll explain
  15. 0:46that in a moment and other videos as
  16. 0:50well including some fireside chats for
  17. 0:52that matter will which stuff is candice
  18. 0:57owens stuff is not not just the the
  19. 1:00videos that we put out that's a lot and
  20. 1:04they have a restricted list for people
  21. 1:08who have filters many homes filter out
  22. 1:12you know it's very easy to do on your
  23. 1:15computer you filter out pornography and
  24. 1:17violence that's what they're made for
  25. 1:19and when that happens the family the
  26. 1:24home or anyone with the filter cannot
  27. 1:27see a restricted video so that means
  28. 1:31they can't see dozens of our videos
  29. 1:34because Google YouTube has decided that
  30. 1:37they are to be lumped with pornography
  31. 1:39and violence that's what I was called to
  32. 1:43Washington to testify with regard to and
  33. 1:48it is a larger issue obviously I wasn't
  34. 1:52the only witness but I was there were oh
  35. 1:56there were just five of us and I was the
  36. 1:59one to speak about obviously Prager you
  37. 2:02and what is happening and the larger
  38. 2:04issue as well there was a representative
  39. 2:06from Google I will talk about that
  40. 2:08because this entered the realm of the
  41. 2:11Twilight Zone
  42. 2:13what actually went on in the United
  43. 2:15States Senate chambers yesterday or when
  44. 2:19you know which is when I when I did this
  45. 2:21but in your time it'll be the next day
  46. 2:25but it doesn't matter because if you
  47. 2:28watch this if you're watching this a
  48. 2:30year from now it's completely irrelevant
  49. 2:32well I hope it won't be relevant but I
  50. 2:34suspect it will be anyway that's what
  51. 2:38that's what happened so they had the one
  52. 2:42of the heads of of google testify and be
  53. 2:45questioned and they asked them senator
  54. 2:47cruz to his great credit by the way he's
  55. 2:50gutsy for doing this and he's helping
  56. 2:52America so senator Cruz asked him why
  57. 2:57why did you put the Prager University
  58. 2:59video on the ten commandments on the
  59. 3:05restricted list it almost sounds crazy
  60. 3:09doesn't it it's a video that I made as
  61. 3:14it happens and I think it's crazy how
  62. 3:20could that be lumped with pornography
  63. 3:22and violence then the man actually
  64. 3:24answered now you can watch this you can
  65. 3:26see it and hear it at Prager EUCOM we
  66. 3:30have put it up it's also with Dennis
  67. 3:33Prager comm and you can you can see this
  68. 3:36the actual answer and my reaction to it
  69. 3:41but the actual answer that this man from
  70. 3:44google gave well it speaks about I'm
  71. 3:50paraphrasing but it speaks about murder
  72. 3:54I'm being quiet to let you digest what I
  73. 3:58just said now do you understand how
  74. 4:02ludicrous that is if the Ten
  75. 4:06Commandments does in fact have a
  76. 4:08commandment against murder but no one
  77. 4:11outside of the left and that's it's I'm
  78. 4:17sorry I'm truly sorry this is not a
  79. 4:20liberal conservative issue it is a it is
  80. 4:23a left conservative and left
  81. 4:26issue no one outside of the left would
  82. 4:29think even to say well it has murder in
  83. 4:35it we don't want young people or we
  84. 4:37don't want people with filters or
  85. 4:39schools or libraries to see this so it's
  86. 4:43either a lie or or an absurdity or both
  87. 4:47I think it's both of course it's a lie
  88. 4:52you are not going to have a video on the
  89. 4:54ten commandments because the 10
  90. 4:56commandments is do not murder thou shalt
  91. 4:58not murder I'm pleased you might as well
  92. 5:02say well we're not going to have it
  93. 5:03because it says thou shalt not commit
  94. 5:05adultery
  95. 5:05we don't want the word adultery in four
  96. 5:07filters or stealing why is stealing okay
  97. 5:11but but murder isn't and is in terms of
  98. 5:14a word to be mentioned
  99. 5:17it's the reason of course is they don't
  100. 5:21have an answer it's because they want to
  101. 5:24hurt any effective conservative voice in
  102. 5:28the world
  103. 5:29that's Google's job we have a picture of
  104. 5:34an email and it within Google an email
  105. 5:39sent between people at Google that says
  106. 5:43that that Ben Shapiro Jordan Peterson
  107. 5:48and Prager you are Nazis
  108. 5:52never mind that
  109. 5:54that Shapiro and I are Jewish and
  110. 5:58committed Jews who were spend good part
  111. 6:02of our lives fighting anti-semitism
  112. 6:05jordan peterson is such a moral giant
  113. 6:08the idea that he that you would he call
  114. 6:11him a nazi it is so despicable the
  115. 6:15people who do that are so they're evil i
  116. 6:17mean let's let's call it by its correct
  117. 6:20name so their answer was a lie is just
  118. 6:28the guy took it under oath he you know
  119. 6:33we all take an oath before we testify i
  120. 6:35i don't quite get
  121. 6:39how he how he how he lives with himself
  122. 6:44we don't we have restricted a video on
  123. 6:4810 commandments because it contains
  124. 6:50murder anyway everybody knows I mean the
  125. 6:55the number of videos up without
  126. 6:57restriction that have the word murder
  127. 7:00its it was being the tens of thousands I
  128. 7:04mean it's an absurdity so you can watch
  129. 7:09it you could see gonna pray for you is
  130. 7:11it's upright it's all up now right
  131. 7:14including the Google man on Facebook i
  132. 7:22sat there and i couldn't believe it but
  133. 7:26the he he was matched by the senator who
  134. 7:30said well there's another reason that
  135. 7:35it's this is restricted because it shows
  136. 7:39a swastika so I didn't remember actually
  137. 7:43I don't remember every video I do every
  138. 7:46illustration so I checked it out in in
  139. 7:52the Senate chamber itself and yes that's
  140. 7:55correct
  141. 7:56and what it is is I I say when
  142. 8:00describing the commandment against
  143. 8:02murder that there were people even in
  144. 8:05our modern period who didn't think
  145. 8:08murder was wrong and I have a picture of
  146. 8:10a swastika and a picture of a hammer and
  147. 8:13sickle the two greatest murderous
  148. 8:16movements of the modern era communism
  149. 8:22about a be eight hundred billion people
  150. 8:25and and of course Nazism tens of
  151. 8:29millions including the Holocaust so do
  152. 8:36you understand I do I think I do
  153. 8:38understand if this senator watched this
  154. 8:42video I will buy her a house in the
  155. 8:47Virgin Islands or Hawaii or wherever she
  156. 8:50would like a dream house
  157. 8:52even watched the video some aide did the
  158. 8:57aide was a fool
  159. 9:00the aide just wanted to see try to find
  160. 9:06a swastika in a pre university video and
  161. 9:08that said say they did but of course the
  162. 9:12point that I'm making is how murderous
  163. 9:15the swastika is do you not want people
  164. 9:19to associate the swastika with murder
  165. 9:24that's what we do at Prager you it's
  166. 9:32it's it's quite something the sickness
  167. 9:36that pervades the left this the Senators
  168. 9:40not a liberal the Senate I'm not even
  169. 9:41mentioning the Senators name because I
  170. 9:43have no desire to humiliate an
  171. 9:45individual I don't even mentioned to you
  172. 9:46the Google person's name because these
  173. 9:49people are generic whether it's this
  174. 9:52leftist senator or this leftist Google
  175. 9:54person it's irrelevant here he is a lot
  176. 9:57of you were wondering where was Otto
  177. 9:58Otto out I was so excited to have well
  178. 10:01at least my wife back home I'm not sure
  179. 10:03he's that excited to have me back home
  180. 10:05but he I think he's become aware of the
  181. 10:08fact that we are shooting the video
  182. 10:10shooting the fireside chat and he's not
  183. 10:13present so he's he's meditating does he
  184. 10:16go to his position or does he continue
  185. 10:19to get rubbed by my wife yeah you know
  186. 10:23we should all have such difficult
  187. 10:24questions to pose as choices in our
  188. 10:28lives so this is this is what it goes on
  189. 10:33my friends that this is there's no
  190. 10:36reason why our our preview videos are
  191. 10:42censored by Google YouTube sometimes
  192. 10:46Facebook sometimes Twitter there's no
  193. 10:48there's no reason the reason is well
  194. 10:51there is a reason but it's never one
  195. 10:53that is valid
  196. 10:54the reason is because we're the most
  197. 10:57effective conservative video voice in
  198. 10:59the world with a billion views a year
  199. 11:02most of them under 35 years of age
  200. 11:07somebody should follow me in an airport
  201. 11:10with a with a video camera see all the
  202. 11:12young people who walk over I think I
  203. 11:15mentioned in Nashville 7-7 in and I'm
  204. 11:18not even on the radio in Nashville we're
  205. 11:23touching live we're not touching enough
  206. 11:24lives that's that's the frustrating part
  207. 11:29I never I must I will be totally open
  208. 11:32with you I do not think of how
  209. 11:34successful we are I think of how much we
  210. 11:37have to do and haven't succeeded in
  211. 11:40doing if people understood what is going
  212. 11:44on at the universities and in the big
  213. 11:47tech to suppress conservative voices
  214. 11:50they would be alarmed this is alarming
  215. 11:53it is the greatest threat to free speech
  216. 11:55in American history free speech is what
  217. 11:58America is known for that's why we got
  218. 12:00the Statue of Liberty and no other
  219. 12:02country did France gave it to one
  220. 12:04country and it was us because we have
  221. 12:07more Liberty to this day but the left
  222. 12:09has always opposed Liberty liberals have
  223. 12:12always been for Liberty conservatives
  224. 12:14have always been for Liberty and the
  225. 12:16left has always been opposed to it there
  226. 12:18was no exception through what I've just
  227. 12:19said Liberty is not a left-wing value
  228. 12:23nor is truth you saw them both in
  229. 12:27display in the US Senate and you should
  230. 12:30look you should also look at my opening
  231. 12:32statement we're all allowed five minutes
  232. 12:35to make a statement
  233. 12:36I gave great thought to that I'm not
  234. 12:40sure I ever read a speech in my life
  235. 12:42that might have been the first time I
  236. 12:43ever read a speech I I knew the amount
  237. 12:47of words that I would be allowed if
  238. 12:49because I know what five minutes takes
  239. 12:51and I I chose I think wisely I I want
  240. 13:00you to to view and/or hear that five
  241. 13:05minutes statement that I made in the US
  242. 13:07Senate it's it's a I think an important
  243. 13:11one so that's the state we're in and I
  244. 13:15just want to remind you
  245. 13:17if you can support Prager you then
  246. 13:21you're supporting a freedom I mean
  247. 13:24that's that's as simple of that is there
  248. 13:27is there a banner up or wear a lot of
  249. 13:29people just go to Prager you and donate
  250. 13:31it's a and if you're an American it's a
  251. 13:33tax-free donation if you're not an
  252. 13:35American it isn't obviously unless if
  253. 13:38your country allows for it but the
  254. 13:41reason to give is not to get a tax
  255. 13:42deduction the pieces to give is because
  256. 13:45we're fighting the good fight if they
  257. 13:49could Google and YouTube would shut us
  258. 13:51down by the way some people ask it's an
  259. 13:54odd question I'm surprised we get it why
  260. 13:56don't we open up our own browser or a
  261. 14:00section excuse me search engine and just
  262. 14:03get you know ignore YouTube and Google
  263. 14:06that is sort of like saying why don't
  264. 14:09you start your own airline if you don't
  265. 14:12like the airline of your country it's
  266. 14:16it's exactly like it's because it how am
  267. 14:21I gonna start a new airline and it's
  268. 14:25actually hard it's actually easier to
  269. 14:27start a new airline because if I started
  270. 14:32a new a new search engine let's say we
  271. 14:37would call it open to all views dot-com
  272. 14:41right search engine it wouldn't matter
  273. 14:44because still people will still be using
  274. 14:47Google and still be watching things on
  275. 14:49YouTube our to and we would get a lot of
  276. 14:53people who agree with us to use that
  277. 14:55search engine but our task is to change
  278. 14:58minds not you I want to give the
  279. 15:03intellectual ammunition to the people
  280. 15:05who agree with us it's very important
  281. 15:07that people who agree with us hear what
  282. 15:09we have to say but we also want to touch
  283. 15:11people who don't agree with us that's
  284. 15:14all though otherwise we can't we might
  285. 15:18as well say we give up we have lost the
  286. 15:20battle for Western civilization which is
  287. 15:23what this is about
  288. 15:25so yes of course we could start a search
  289. 15:28engine for people who agree with us but
  290. 15:30we we want to get
  291. 15:31out there in the real world and mix it
  292. 15:34up so that's the reason it's it's it's
  293. 15:38not feasible the start arrow of course
  294. 15:41you could go to Prague or you and watch
  295. 15:42our stuff directly you're right you
  296. 15:44don't have to do it through YouTube but
  297. 15:46more people watch us through Facebook
  298. 15:48and and YouTube then directly and even
  299. 15:52correctly we use the forum of YouTube
  300. 15:54even if you do go to a Praeger you video
  301. 15:58no we have to we have to win this battle
  302. 16:02so anyway help us out it will tell you
  303. 16:06my theory you may have heard it about
  304. 16:08good people there are three types of
  305. 16:10good people those who fight those who
  306. 16:14help the fighters and those who do
  307. 16:16nothing the first two are equally
  308. 16:19valuable if you help the fighters you
  309. 16:21are just as valuable as the fighters but
  310. 16:24if you don't do anything you don't do
  311. 16:28anything for good things
  312. 16:29goodness won't prevail alright
  313. 16:34so watch watch my statement and watch
  314. 16:37the Google statement at our website so
  315. 16:40wait it's only through Facebook it's not
  316. 16:42through Prager you directly I'm sure
  317. 16:46it'll be online Prager you directly yeah
  318. 16:48okay well so the first question is about
  319. 16:53this what is the best way from william
  320. 16:5527 in minneapolis best way to combat
  321. 16:58censorship of free speech Facebook
  322. 17:01Twitter YouTube legislation use other
  323. 17:04platforms well yes if you could use
  324. 17:06other platforms if some obviously
  325. 17:10serious number of people did but it
  326. 17:12would take a vast number for them to
  327. 17:14feel it the the answer is help us it's
  328. 17:19up the only answer but it's a it's a big
  329. 17:20one because were the the biggest thing
  330. 17:23that they that they fear because we're
  331. 17:27nice we're rational we're truthful you
  332. 17:30know many things come out with pretty
  333. 17:32lies do you know if you if you put if
  334. 17:36you know if you put in Prager in Google
  335. 17:39Prager you is do it right now while it's
  336. 17:42like do it on your phone because I
  337. 17:45I've checked online on my browser on my
  338. 17:49phone my wife checked on hers see what
  339. 17:51comes up type in Prager you is and what
  340. 17:55do you get
  341. 17:56does it get is lying is that one of the
  342. 18:00Izzo biased not a University dangerous
  343. 18:08lying okay
  344. 18:11does that pretty much tell you a lot it
  345. 18:15doesn't tell you everything but at that
  346. 18:16tell you a lot Prager you is and and
  347. 18:20everyone that came up was was a real hit
  348. 18:24on us
  349. 18:26how about Prager you is opening minds I
  350. 18:29don't think that comes up so lying
  351. 18:34that's the one that gets me the most
  352. 18:35everyone who claims this never gives an
  353. 18:38example do you know I'm a columnist I've
  354. 18:41been a columnist for 20 years every time
  355. 18:44I make a generalization I always back it
  356. 18:46up with facts if I say so-and-so lies
  357. 18:49then I say here's an example where here
  358. 18:51are three examples so but they don't
  359. 18:54have an example because we don't lie and
  360. 18:56I would never let it lie because lying
  361. 18:59is evil and I don't like evil Erica 26
  362. 19:04Los Angeles it is is it okay to tell
  363. 19:07your spouse / partner you want them to
  364. 19:09lose weight or to get in better shape of
  365. 19:11course it is the problem is it's very
  366. 19:13hard especially for a man to tell that
  367. 19:15to his wife or his partner he because he
  368. 19:20is afraid of hurting or feelings but now
  369. 19:26like everything else context matters the
  370. 19:33it's a very long issue I talk about
  371. 19:36male-female matters a great deal
  372. 19:38if if your spouse has let him or herself
  373. 19:44go and it matters to you most of the
  374. 19:47time it matters much more to men because
  375. 19:50in the human species as opposed to
  376. 19:52peacocks the female is the visual or
  377. 19:56rouser is it fair it's not fair
  378. 19:58is it true yes it's true all right so
  379. 20:02the way the female looks is generally
  380. 20:05more important what what excites what
  381. 20:08women about a man at least when if the
  382. 20:11woman is over 25 at the very very most
  383. 20:14maybe even over 20 is is he is he funny
  384. 20:18is he ambitious is he strong as he
  385. 20:21masculine that's what is he smart women
  386. 20:26fall in love with brains not that men
  387. 20:28don't love brains I love brains but
  388. 20:29obviously the the man's brains is an
  389. 20:34erotic charge for women for a men the
  390. 20:38visual is exceedingly important and and
  391. 20:40it's not fair it's not fair actually
  392. 20:42it's not even fair to men but it is true
  393. 20:44so more more often than not this issue
  394. 20:49arises with regard to will the man tell
  395. 20:52the woman my general belief is if she's
  396. 20:57trying then you got a love her for him
  397. 21:00I mean that's just but if she doesn't
  398. 21:02try if she if she just she when she
  399. 21:07married you she really cared to look
  400. 21:10good and then 15 years later she
  401. 21:13couldn't care less how she looks how she
  402. 21:14dresses how much what she eats and so on
  403. 21:17that's that's unfair to you because you
  404. 21:21you sort of you you marry the deal we
  405. 21:25all marry a deal if if the man was a
  406. 21:27hard worker and then 15 years later is a
  407. 21:30couch potato you you've got a you've got
  408. 21:32a right to be unhappy too though this is
  409. 21:36an this is truly the most unspoken
  410. 21:40significant issue I think in many
  411. 21:42marriages but it has to be confronted
  412. 21:48and in a loving way but nevertheless it
  413. 21:52should be tayo 16 years old Hong Kong
  414. 21:58m'dear mr. Prager I am young black
  415. 22:01conservative and I am struggling to
  416. 22:03properly present my political beliefs to
  417. 22:06my mom who believe she has failed to
  418. 22:08properly raise me because of this
  419. 22:11I try to have discussions regarding
  420. 22:13abortion illegal immigration or even
  421. 22:15whether capitalism is the best economic
  422. 22:18system currently in the world I don't
  423. 22:20know how to make her understand that
  424. 22:21conservatives or even America for that
  425. 22:23matter aren't full of racists and bigots
  426. 22:25best wishes I don't think you can
  427. 22:29everything you said is rational people
  428. 22:32who deny this are not going to be
  429. 22:34persuaded by the rational my my
  430. 22:40instinctive recommendation is just be
  431. 22:43loving and respectful and say ma there's
  432. 22:49really nothing I can say it you know
  433. 22:55it's either true or not true
  434. 22:57that only capitalism has lifted people
  435. 23:00from poverty if you say it isn't true
  436. 23:03and I say it is true I don't know what
  437. 23:07what there is to talk about America is
  438. 23:12the is the least racist place on on
  439. 23:14earth where there are many ethnic and
  440. 23:18racial groups and for that matter where
  441. 23:20there are in many ethnic and racial
  442. 23:23groups Asian countries is so much more
  443. 23:27racist than Americans and you if you're
  444. 23:31not Japanese you can't become a citizen
  445. 23:33of Japan for all intents and purposes
  446. 23:36the trouble is Americans haven't lived
  447. 23:39there experienced foreign societies they
  448. 23:42don't realize how much race matters
  449. 23:44elsewhere and it doesn't matter in
  450. 23:46America America has produced a
  451. 23:49staggering number of naive people and
  452. 23:51they're all on the Left because the
  453. 23:53moment you shed now you say you leave
  454. 23:55the left you have to be naive to be on
  455. 23:58the Left about real evil about racism
  456. 24:01etc etc I feel bad for you just love
  457. 24:05your mother up and and give up it's not
  458. 24:10I don't know what else you can do
  459. 24:12ironically I think your mother produced
  460. 24:14a great son that's the irony what's our
  461. 24:19time frame
  462. 24:23yes okay fine let's do one more here
  463. 24:27Aaron 33 Houston what do you think of a
  464. 24:31married couple choosing to have no
  465. 24:33children well I would like to ask them
  466. 24:36why they made that choice to me you live
  467. 24:40once I believe in an afterlife but you
  468. 24:42live here once that's my belief so I
  469. 24:46have always thought I want to maximize
  470. 24:51rich experiences in life I don't want to
  471. 24:54miss out I don't know why people would
  472. 24:57want to miss out if they could be
  473. 25:00parents why they would want to miss out
  474. 25:01on that opportunity the growth the
  475. 25:05experience the love the anguish the
  476. 25:08everything why would you say I want to
  477. 25:12take the easy way out it's all the
  478. 25:14visits it's generally the easy way out
  479. 25:16it's the easy way out and perhaps not
  480. 25:19even to get married but you're married
  481. 25:21anyway I'd like to know if you're not
  482. 25:23having children because of global
  483. 25:25warming then I I salute you I think all
  484. 25:29those who think that the world will go
  485. 25:31extinct because of carbon emissions
  486. 25:33should not have children I think it's a
  487. 25:36blessing that many of them have decided
  488. 25:38not to have children if you're that
  489. 25:40foolish
  490. 25:41you shouldn't have children but
  491. 25:43otherwise I I don't know why anybody
  492. 25:47would make that option and it's so sad
  493. 25:49because so many couples want children
  494. 25:51who can have children I wish they could
  495. 25:53swap but it doesn't work that way why
  496. 25:59would you want to forsake one of the
  497. 26:02most rich experiences a human could have
  498. 26:05to be a parent so you can go to
  499. 26:10restaurants more often take more trips
