  1. 0:00Hello my friends, and welcome back. I'm
  2. 0:01Chisgule Gaming, and in today's video,
  3. 0:02sponsored by the Megas Rise of Kingdoms,
  4. 0:04we're going to do a readout on Al Bar
  5. 0:05Sulan and Verci. And I'm going to share
  6. 0:08with you the sentiments that I got from
  7. 0:09asking the folks in my alliance, but
  8. 0:12also my own sentiments from actually
  9. 0:14having maxed them both and used them in
  10. 0:16the open field in a real battle as
  11. 0:18opposed to doing duels. And I've
  12. 0:21definitely learned a lot.
  13. 0:23So, let's break down the things that
  14. 0:25surprised me. First and foremost, I was
  15. 0:28really eager to try Verci
  16. 0:31and run him with calves.
  17. 0:34And I found in the small time that I
  18. 0:36used him that way that the results with
  19. 0:39Arthur primary versus the secondary were
  20. 0:42just kind of okay.
  21. 0:44I think there's a lot of things messing
  22. 0:47with that result. One of them being the
  23. 0:49support skills that are sort of
  24. 0:51available, but at the end of the day,
  25. 0:53this march didn't quite hold up in the
  26. 0:55way that I expected, and other players
  27. 0:58had the same experience, too.
  28. 1:00Now, maybe that's just because you're
  29. 1:02really not able to take advantage of
  30. 1:04Delta in the way that you'd really hope
  31. 1:06you could take advantage of Delta
  32. 1:08because Delta's all about doing tons of
  33. 1:10combo attacks, and although it's really
  34. 1:13cool to get extra triggers on things
  35. 1:15that trigger from basic attacks on
  36. 1:18Verci,
  37. 1:20it just didn't quite cut it. I think
  38. 1:22maybe the double combo synergy
  39. 1:25is too strong. In fact, especially in
  40. 1:28the KVK I'm in, with the support skills
  41. 1:31that we have, one of the things that you
  42. 1:33can go and do is put two instant proc
  43. 1:36skills on your cavalry. So, I typically
  44. 1:39I'm running this on my cav on my my
  45. 1:41double combo Achilles GG, right? So, I
  46. 1:44get a chance to do 800 damage factor, a
  47. 1:46chance to do 450 per second for 2
  48. 1:48seconds.
  49. 1:50This is pretty solid, but look, on my
  50. 1:53Verci march, I'm running 30% attack and
  51. 1:5720% attack, so 50% more attack. So, it's
  52. 2:00not like I got nothing on that march.
  53. 2:02Long story long is that I just didn't
  54. 2:05quite feel like I was getting what I
  55. 2:07wanted from that trading slightly
  56. 2:08negative. And someone in my in my
  57. 2:10alliance cited even a 0.85 trade ratio
  58. 2:14with I think it was 0.85, maybe 0.8 with
  59. 2:16with Arthur and Versi, and they got
  60. 2:19better a 0.95 trade ratio using Arthur
  61. 2:23Hector. Now, with that said, I would say
  62. 2:26that the buffs coming from Versi are a
  63. 2:28little bit better than what you're
  64. 2:29getting from Hector. So, there is that
  65. 2:32to keep in mind that you're buffing the
  66. 2:34attack of your march and nearby marches.
  67. 2:37So, to an extent, you take a slightly
  68. 2:39worse trade in order to make all your
  69. 2:41other marches do better, which is a part
  70. 2:43of the reason why when you look at these
  71. 2:44reports, you kind of scratch your head
  72. 2:46and you think, "Well, my Versi march
  73. 2:48might not have done as well. Is this
  74. 2:51march doing great?" Well, part of the
  75. 2:52reason your other marches do better is
  76. 2:54cuz you're buffing them, too. Now, with
  77. 2:56that said,
  78. 2:57I also use Versi with infantry. And with
  79. 3:00infantry, this I found to be a huge win.
  80. 3:03Um I paired him with BQ, which like
  81. 3:07I'd kind of rather have my BQ with
  82. 3:09Philip, but for the same reason I think
  83. 3:12that BQ works with Philip, he works with
  84. 3:14Versi. BQ is all about enhancing damage
  85. 3:18dealt or really just doing lots of
  86. 3:19damage, I should say. I mean, he's got a
  87. 3:21bunch of attack, he's got a bunch of
  88. 3:23damage that he can deal with these
  89. 3:24malice stacks,
  90. 3:26but he's pretty squishy. Like, he
  91. 3:28doesn't have a lot of damage mitigation.
  92. 3:31He just has
  93. 3:32big
  94. 3:33I think suppression of damage for short
  95. 3:36windows when you hit hit certain
  96. 3:37thresholds, right? So, pairing Versi
  97. 3:40with him worked out incredibly well. I
  98. 3:42got some very strong trades. I was
  99. 3:44incredibly happy [snorts] with that. A
  100. 3:46part of the reason those reports look as
  101. 3:48good as they do, though, is that my
  102. 3:50infantry tech is maxed out. So, you
  103. 3:53know, the infantry pairing here works
  104. 3:55very nicely, but the, you know, 30%
  105. 3:57health and 20% less damage taken with
  106. 4:00BQ, it just works. Also making it so
  107. 4:04that we enhance the damage by 40% on
  108. 4:06that active skill, it just works. Um I
  109. 4:08talked with someone in my alliance who
  110. 4:10indicated, "Yeah, it seemed to be better
  111. 4:12with BQ as a pairing than with Sun Tzu
  112. 4:15Prime."
  113. 4:16These, of course, are largely kind of
  114. 4:18sentiments, but I think it can maximize
  115. 4:20them nicely. Now, with that said,
  116. 4:22I was running
  117. 4:24this gear set, which is incredibly
  118. 4:27strong. So, you couldn't possibly be
  119. 4:29putting much more
  120. 4:31into the equipment that I was running on
  121. 4:34this BQ versi, and the armaments were
  122. 4:37not slacking either. An absolutely
  123. 4:40monstrous amount of stats were on there.
  124. 4:44So, for what it's worth, like, that
  125. 4:46march was pretty juiced up, but it
  126. 4:49traded well, and it traded well relative
  127. 4:51to other things that I was using in my
  128. 4:52roster.
  129. 4:54Now, with that said, it obviously didn't
  130. 4:56trade as well as the Sun Tzu march,
  131. 4:58didn't trade as well as the QSH march.
  132. 5:00Um and
  133. 5:02now we need to talk about Alp Arslan.
  134. 5:05Alp Arslan also kind of surprised me in
  135. 5:09that he was not quite as effective as I
  136. 5:12would have hoped. I used a ton of
  137. 5:15different pairs, and I was not really
  138. 5:16happy with any of them. The best of
  139. 5:19those was the Herman Prime as the
  140. 5:20primary. Now, this gear is a little bit
  141. 5:24deficient compared to my other gear,
  142. 5:26which sounds crazy because like most
  143. 5:28people would look at this and they go,
  144. 5:29"Bro, I would love to have that."
  145. 5:32But, we're looking at how he performed
  146. 5:35relative to my other marches, and the
  147. 5:37Herman with Alp Arslan was one of the
  148. 5:39weaker performers. It wasn't the
  149. 5:42weakest, but it also wasn't really
  150. 5:44buffing all my other marches that much.
  151. 5:46It's just debuffing the enemy for skill
  152. 5:48damage taken and also a defense
  153. 5:50reduction, I suppose.
  154. 5:52Um and also spreading debuffs.
  155. 5:54But I kind of was hoping those reports
  156. 5:56would be better than they were. And the
  157. 5:58general consensus seems to be, and I
  158. 6:01don't think it's just copium,
  159. 6:03that although Zhuge Herman was really
  160. 6:06not great,
  161. 6:08this is a slight step up with the Alp
  162. 6:11Arslan in the pairing and Herman Prime
  163. 6:14as the primary for damage mitigation
  164. 6:17purposes. The other thing I'll point out
  165. 6:19is that
  166. 6:20my armaments are pretty mid here. This
  167. 6:22is one of my weakest sets of armaments
  168. 6:25with big opportunities for improvement.
  169. 6:27So, you definitely have room to do
  170. 6:29better, a lot better, on this particular
  171. 6:32march with the armaments. And my tech is
  172. 6:35not quite as progressed on this march,
  173. 6:38calves and
  174. 6:39archers in particular, compared to other
  175. 6:41troop types. But, you know, it's not
  176. 6:44it's not terribly far behind the calves.
  177. 6:46In fact, it's ahead of the calves and
  178. 6:48did archers generally did
  179. 6:51other than QSH, not as good as my
  180. 6:53calves. So, the place where I land with
  181. 6:55that Alp Arslan is I still think he is
  182. 6:58like the third best archer.
  183. 7:01Um but it is even possible I would say
  184. 7:03that like Zhuge is a
  185. 7:05better archer than Alp Arslan for the
  186. 7:07time being. But if you're a two archer
  187. 7:09march player, I think you got to have
  188. 7:12him.
  189. 7:13But am I in love with kind of how he's
  190. 7:15doing?
  191. 7:16Definitely not. Um he is
  192. 7:19in a way I would say underperforming for
  193. 7:20me. And I think that has to do in part
  194. 7:22with
  195. 7:24the fact that you're really not going to
  196. 7:25get tons of stacks rolling on any
  197. 7:28target. You're constantly changing up
  198. 7:30who you're hitting. So,
  199. 7:32I think that he
  200. 7:35with the right pairing in the future,
  201. 7:37some future commander could make him
  202. 7:38better. But for now, [snorts] the reason
  203. 7:40to invest in him is if you want to
  204. 7:42upgrade your archers and like
  205. 7:46there's just no other game in town.
  206. 7:48Now, I suppose I could pull Versi in
  207. 7:50there and and mess with that a bit, but
  208. 7:52we'll we'll see if I end up putting
  209. 7:54Versi with archers to see if that
  210. 7:55somehow performs incredibly differently
  211. 7:59from the testing, but I'm I'm not
  212. 8:00convinced that it would. So, where does
  213. 8:02this leave us with these commanders? I
  214. 8:05would say in this past opening Versi was
  215. 8:06a big winner in ways that I didn't
  216. 8:09expect, but he also was a big loser. He
  217. 8:12was way better with infantry
  218. 8:14than I was really anticipating.
  219. 8:16That said, it part of that is that my
  220. 8:18infantry setup is really really strong.
  221. 8:22So, I wouldn't say that it was busted,
  222. 8:24but I would say for being a march that
  223. 8:26was buffing other things nearby,
  224. 8:28I was very happy with what my Versi
  225. 8:30march was bringing to the party.
  226. 8:33Um
  227. 8:34that said, the Alp Arslan march was a
  228. 8:38bit of a disappointment. Would I still
  229. 8:41max him? Yeah, but I switched to using
  230. 8:45two calves, three inf, and one archer,
  231. 8:49and so I actually benched the other
  232. 8:51archer march in order to try other
  233. 8:54combinations with Arthur
  234. 8:56and to play with that in the open field.
  235. 8:59Um so, that's kind of where I land. When
  236. 9:01we get new calves, then for sure Alp
  237. 9:05Arslan will be one of the sort of lower
  238. 9:08priorities.
  239. 9:09And for as much as we hear from cav
  240. 9:12players about the state of cavalry,
  241. 9:14I actually feel like
  242. 9:17the cavalry players have two
  243. 9:22high to mid-quality marches, whereas the
  244. 9:26archers have a
  245. 9:28like top-tier march and a lower-tier
  246. 9:31march.
  247. 9:32And the infantry have a top-tier march
  248. 9:35and a bunch of mid-tier marches.
  249. 9:37So, I'd say infantry is one of the best
  250. 9:40troop types
  251. 9:42based on the commanders you have.
  252. 9:44The single best march still belongs to
  253. 9:46archers,
  254. 9:47but also I think
  255. 9:50the fewest archer march options belongs
  256. 9:53to archers. Like there's never been a
  257. 9:55better time to be a one archer march
  258. 9:57player
  259. 9:58for sure. And if I were going to two
  260. 10:00marches right now
  261. 10:02for either archers or cavalry
  262. 10:05I think cavalry would be the one I would
  263. 10:07take to two marches before archers.
  264. 10:09Yeah, that's where I'm at. So, I've
  265. 10:11obviously got a lot more battling to do
  266. 10:13and a lot more to learn, but I wanted to
  267. 10:14share some of those preliminary
  268. 10:16conclusions with you. If it affects your
  269. 10:18investment decisions in your account in
  270. 10:20any way, hopefully that's helpful.
  271. 10:23Definitely for me on my small account
  272. 10:25where I have one archer march, one cav
  273. 10:26march.
  274. 10:27I mean, I might have considered going to
  275. 10:28two archers, but definitely not anymore.
  276. 10:31Sticking with the one, maybe I'll go to
  277. 10:33two cavs. To be determined.
  278. 10:36Um but for now I'm also on that account
  279. 10:38enjoying just doing five marches. If you
  280. 10:40enjoyed the vid, throw a like on your
  281. 10:41subscribe. You want to see the eight
  282. 10:43plus hours I think it was that I
  283. 10:45streamed the pass opening. I'll have a
  284. 10:47card in the end screen. And the other
  285. 10:48video here, that's the one YouTube
  286. 10:50thinks you're going to like the most, so
  287. 10:52consider watching it. Until next time,
  288. 10:54you have fun smashing your enemies. Take
  289. 10:57care everybody.
