  1. 0:00hello everyone
  2. 0:02in today's video we will be solving the
  3. 0:05scene automated Warehouse in Factory IO
  4. 0:10let's check out how I programmed to
  5. 0:12solve the scene
  6. 0:16I made a reusable function block for the
  7. 0:18whole stacker crane
  8. 0:22let's open it up and see how I
  9. 0:25programmed it
  10. 0:29it have a lot of rungs of codes so I
  11. 0:31split it up into two different sequences
  12. 0:35one for loading the pallets and one for
  13. 0:38unloading them
  14. 0:40the loading sequence starts from step
  15. 0:43one and ends at step 11.
  16. 0:46and the unloading sequence starts from
  17. 0:49Step 20 and ends at step 30.
  18. 0:55at step 0 is where the whole sequence
  19. 0:58will set itself as active
  20. 1:02to set the load sequence active we need
  21. 1:05to make sure the unload sequence is
  22. 1:07inactive
  23. 1:09and I made an integer tag name storage
  24. 1:12shelf value that will keep track on how
  25. 1:15many shells been loaded with pallets
  26. 1:18it had to be lesser or equal to 54.
  27. 1:24once all those criterias are true it
  28. 1:26will wait for the start signal which it
  29. 1:29gets from when the a load sensor is
  30. 1:31occupied and once I set the load bit for
  31. 1:34my HMI
  32. 1:37then the sequence will be set as active
  33. 1:40and it will do so until the sequence is
  34. 1:43done big gets triggered
  35. 1:45the whole Warehouse have 54 shells in
  36. 1:48total that we can use to store our
  37. 1:50pallets
  38. 1:51for each sequence cycle we will add 1 to
  39. 1:55the storage shelf value so it keeps
  40. 1:57track on how many pallets been stored
  41. 2:00then it moves to the next step
  42. 2:07I made the sequence so that the
  43. 2:09actuators will be set or reset here
  44. 2:12and the transitions will happen here
  45. 2:14until the right sensor gets triggered
  46. 2:18so for example in Step 1 the forks will
  47. 2:21go left
  48. 2:22and do so until the left sensor is
  49. 2:25occupied
  50. 2:26then it moves on to the next step
  51. 2:29and each step is built up the same way
  52. 2:34at step two
  53. 2:36the lift will lift up
  54. 2:39at step three
  55. 2:41the forks will release itself
  56. 2:45at step four
  57. 2:46the lift will release itself
  58. 2:50at step five
  59. 2:52we will use the storage shelf value
  60. 2:55it's the one that we add one value to
  61. 2:58for each sequence cycle
  62. 3:00then move it into the Crane's Target
  63. 3:02position
  64. 3:04it will make the crane go to the Shelf
  65. 3:07number it's given from 1 to 54.
  66. 3:11at step six
  67. 3:13the lift will go up
  68. 3:16at step seven
  69. 3:18the forks will go right
  70. 3:21at step 8. the lift will release itself
  71. 3:27at step nine
  72. 3:28the forks will release itself
  73. 3:32at step 10. we will give the target
  74. 3:35position value one hundred
  75. 3:37if we give the target position any value
  76. 3:40higher than 54 it will automatically go
  77. 3:43back to its home position
  78. 3:47and the last step is step 11. this is
  79. 3:50where the sequence is done and it will
  80. 3:53pulse out a signal to let the sequence
  81. 3:55active step know it's done
  82. 3:59let's check out how the unload sequence
  83. 4:01is made to
  84. 4:03I made it very similar to the other one
  85. 4:06first we got this Step Zero that will
  86. 4:09set the sequences active
  87. 4:11to do so we need to make sure the load
  88. 4:14sequence is not active
  89. 4:16and the storage shelf value tag should
  90. 4:19be higher or equal to one
  91. 4:21then to start the sequence cycle we need
  92. 4:25to change to unload on the HMI
  93. 4:29and also be sure that the unload sensor
  94. 4:32isn't occupied
  95. 4:34then if all those criterias are
  96. 4:37fulfilled the sequence will set itself
  97. 4:39as active until the sequence is done bit
  98. 4:41pulse itself
  99. 4:46the unload sequence will start at step
  100. 4:4820. and at this step the first thing it
  101. 4:52will do is to take the previous counted
  102. 4:54storage shelf value from the load
  103. 4:56sequence and move it into the target
  104. 4:59position
  105. 5:01at step 21 the forks will go right
  106. 5:07at step 22 the lift will go up
  107. 5:11at step 23 the forks will release itself
  108. 5:16at step 24 the lift will release itself
  109. 5:22at step 25 we will move the value 100 to
  110. 5:26Target position to make it go back to
  111. 5:28its home position again
  112. 5:32at step 26 the lift will go up
  113. 5:36at step 27 the forks will go right
  114. 5:41at step 28 the lift will release itself
  115. 5:47at step 29 the forks will release itself
  116. 5:54step 30 is the last step and at this
  117. 5:57step we will subtract one from the
  118. 5:59storage shelf value
  119. 6:00to let the next sequence cycle know
  120. 6:03which shelf it should unload next
  121. 6:06then it pulls out the sequence's done
  122. 6:09signaled to make the sequence Loop
  123. 6:11itself again
  124. 6:13okay
  125. 6:16this is the function block I made for
  126. 6:18the conveyors
  127. 6:19let's open it up and see how I
  128. 6:22programmed it too
  129. 6:29the entry and load conveyor will start
  130. 6:32and latch itself if the entry sensor
  131. 6:34gets occupied
  132. 6:36and if the store shelf value is other
  133. 6:39than 54.
  134. 6:41and they will be latched until the
  135. 6:43upload sensor gets occupied
  136. 6:48and for the unload and exit conveyor
  137. 6:50they will latch themselves once the
  138. 6:53unload sensor gets occupied
  139. 6:56and will do so until the pallet left the
  140. 6:58exit sensor
  141. 7:03now that we've gone through all
  142. 7:05programming let's run the scene while
  143. 7:07monitoring it from Tia portal
  144. 7:20the palette will stop here and wait for
  145. 7:22my signal from the HMI
  146. 7:28foreign
  147. 8:00thank you
  148. 8:09[Music]
  149. 8:32thank you
  150. 8:37let's try to set the unload button from
  151. 8:40the HMI
  152. 8:42the load sequence will first complete
  153. 8:45its tasks before it will start unloading
  154. 9:11[Music]
  155. 9:23[Music]
  156. 9:29let's put it back to load mode again
  157. 9:53foreign

  159. 10:06[Music]
  160. 10:17[Music]
  161. 10:29[Music]
  162. 10:41all right
  163. 10:42it will keep on going until it loaded up
  164. 10:44all 54 spots
  165. 11:09as you will see now once the 54th
  166. 11:12palette will load the warning indicator
  167. 11:14on my HMI will turn red and the load
  168. 11:17conveyor will stop
  169. 11:32[Music]
  170. 11:46[Music]
  171. 11:54so now I will have to unload again
