Full transcript
- 0:01when we first met Jill she was
- 0:04incredibly bubbly and positive and she
- 0:07is that
- 0:09today and you would think that what she
- 0:12was confronted with then would be the
- 0:14worst thing that she'd ever be
- 0:15confronted with losing her legs um in
- 0:19private she said wish she wasn't in the
- 0:22position she was in back then and and
- 0:24you know she still is that today I guess
- 0:26the thing that has changed is probably
- 0:29not Jill but my perception of her and
- 0:31and and that is that that while she
- 0:34looked like she was putting on a brave
- 0:35face in those days she has been tested
- 0:39again and again and again and she
- 0:42continues to keep fighting on and so she
- 0:46has a strength of spirit and character
- 0:48that is unbelievable and you know she
- 0:52she says in our story she's full
- 0:54up I'm
- 0:57full um and the moment I say I'm full
- 1:00then there seems to be a hole that
- 1:02happens in the bucket and someone just
- 1:04keeps pouring something in so obviously
- 1:07I'm one of
- 1:08those resilient people in life that can
- 1:12weather every
- 1:14storm but but you keeps going and she
- 1:17keeps doing it with Grace and dignity
- 1:19and good humor and uh and so I don't
- 1:23think Jill Hicks has changed so much but
- 1:25there's just there's more there's just
- 1:27more and more and more of the Jill Hicks
- 1:29that we first got to know and and I
- 1:31guess we just continue to get to know
- 1:33the depth of that character the more we
- 1:34meet
- 1:39her
